Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast
on Patrick clayboun I'll be joined by Marcus Grant and
Adam Rank. Coming up today, we recap Monday Night football,
plus some bold moves for Week sixteen, as Adam Rank
opens up the waiver wire hot sauce, Marcus Grant walks
us through his five league winners, and we're predicting which
guys to start to get into the finals. That's all
today on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast. Everybody, Welcome to

(00:33):
NFL Fantasy A love Patrick Claibund here with Adam Rank
and Marcus Grant. Congratulations to those of you who advanced
in your fantasy playoffs. And if you are just here
spending time with us because you want to hate on
the people who you outscored all season, well congratulations on
having that that hate in your heart and spending time
with us here on the show. And we're also kicking
it right yeah, oh ye, kicking the table intentional. Well yeah, Marcus,

(00:57):
we got we got all kinds of people spending time
with us.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
To Jerry, We're just glad you're here, you know, one big,
happy family.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
You only got a few rides left. So glad you
came along with us.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yes, and again back to the people who won.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Let's celebrate with you. It's Big three Tuesday here on
NFL Fantasy Lives. I'm so excited. Thank you Ray I
forgot my kick. Well, I'm a man of routine.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Yes, I would have been thrown off the whole day
if we had not been kicking it.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Very structured here, like Caleb who went with Dart over
May and a Chan went over sixteen point four on
the last drive, which is exactly what Caleb needed.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Congratulations, great work right there. I know.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
One of the cool things about Jackson Dart is obviously
there's not the designed runs anymore, but still had a
lot of significant yardage.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
On the ground, which was helpful.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes, scrambled sixty scramble yards for Jackson, darl Let's go
to Randy don olave over Michael Wilson and it worked out.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, it didn't work out.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I'll say this though, it wasn't really a bad choice
either way, because Michael Wilson still had a pretty decent
game against that Houston Texans solid defense.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
All Right, good luck the next round, righty, Don, Let's
go to David who had d m P from Fergie
on on Thursday, London ruled out started pits though and
got forty five points.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
You gotta win, you gotta you gotta love that right there.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
I you know what, I don't like the fact that
it was because Ferguson was out. I don't know if
you should take credit for that. I think leave that
part out of it. Next time when you're retelling this story,
be like, you know what, and I smartly was gonna
start Kyle Pitts all along.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Nobody needs to know the other part. Yeah, it's good
advice about Ace Ranger. Roger was getting sacked late in
the fourth quarter puts Boswell out of field goal range.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
That that's how you that's how you squeak out a
win right there. Ace round see the kickers involved and
added to the drama.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
This is why we keep kickers in fantasy football.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yes, don't don't be that. Don't be that guy.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I don't I don't even know if that guy.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Is watching our show.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Maybe maybe now they're not watching Late last night, let's
recap Monday Night Football. Were one of the great early
season pickups delivered again.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
No, he's been absolutely fantastic. You know when he came
back into the league. A lot of people you know,
made their jokes, did whatever, talked about his rap career.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I understand all of that.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
However, on this show, we wisely pointed out that John
Us Smith excelled in this very same spot last year,
So it was in the realm of possibility that Darren
Waller could come out and do such things.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
And it leads to.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
A further conversation that you know, we don't know the
future of Mike McDaniel in Miami. Moving forward, to listen
to Troy Aikman last night, he's never going to coach
in the NFL again. But I do believe that the
way that the Dolphins have been performing over the last
couple of weeks, I understand last night looked bad. They
had won four consecutive games. If the new general manager
comes in and wants to start over, to start with

(03:36):
Mike McDaniel, whomever is playing tight end for the Dolphins
next year needs to be on your roster.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Well venvers dvon Aitshan, who had another solid night. We
saw one of the victory Tuesday tweets talking about how
it got him got someone enough to get a win
eighteen point seven fantasy points. He's had at least sixteen
points in every game this year. He's got ten games
or at least eighteen touches. Actually tied Withjon Robinson for
the most yards per touch for running backs that have

(04:06):
at least sixty five touches this season. Basically guys who
get a lot of opportunities and look for as good
as he's been, as solid as he's been the last
couple of years. I know he's not in the conversation
for maybe the number one overall pick, but I think
you'd be pretty smart if you made Devon ait Chan
like a top three pick in fantasy drafts next year.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah. Always a threat to go and always a threat
to outscore the guy who starts in front of him.
It's Kenneth Gainwell doing it again. Nineteen point six fantasy
points on Monday Night Football. He had eighty yards on
the ground, but the real cheat code seven targets caught.
All seven of them got forty six yards. Some congratulations
through the PPR folks out there. It ties a career

(04:42):
high in terms of catches. He's got sixteen more fantasy
points in four of his last five games. You got
it at this point you gotta get Kenny g in
your playoff lineup for sure. That is going to be
a big move moving forward.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
I will also look at what DK Metcalf did on
the field, sitting there using the hit stick and just
I mean, this is disrespectful. This is the kind of
stuff that you see on mad and when you're playing
against one of your friends and going out there and
doing those kind of things.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But DK like didn't have a huge game.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
He actually is right on the number that we projected
him at yesterday.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh wow, yes we did. We had them all.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
I'm sorry we had him at fifteen plays, so well,
we'll take that back. But you know what, three targets levers.
This is exactly what you wanted, exactly what we talked about.
Not a lot of volume for DK Metcalf in this offense,
but huge opportunity and he made the most of it.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Oh thanks for the HP.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
There's Jalen Waddle, who I'm sure a lot of people
started hoping for something decent and unfortunately you didn't get it.
Fewer than five Fantasy points and it's kind of been
a little bit of a trend for Waddle in.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
The back half of the season.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
He's had less than nine points in three of his
last four, fewer than fifty five receiving.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Yards in four straight games.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
So if you somehow survived with Jalen Waddle in your lineup,
the good news is they have the Bengals next week,
chances for a bounce back.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
And I'm going to go out on.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
A and I'm going to predict that it will not
be sixteen degrees at kickoff in South Florida next week.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yes, and so maybe the you know to his stretch
has been not necessarily great, but the cold weather statistic,
we can't deny it. At this point, it is a
more than a trend for Tua Tongue Iolo. We'll turn
our attention from Monday night to.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Thursday Night Football. Get ready? Does the playoffs continue?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
The Fantasy semi Finals begin with Pukaakua and those Los
Angeles Rams stampeding into Seattle to take on Sam Donald
and the Seahawks Thursday night, eight fifteen Eastern on Prime Video.
Looking forward to some TNF and the Sam Donald revenge game.
But let's get some semi smart moves as you try
to advance through your fantasy postseason.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
What semi smart moves should people make right.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
Well, this is a conversation I had this morning a
drop off at my children's school. It's go ahead and
weed out your bench, pick up handcuffs, go out there.
You understand and who your starters are, who you're counting
on You don't, You don't. You shouldn't have these lineup
decisions anymore. And there's guys on your roster right now
that you're probably never gonna play. And so for that reason,

(07:10):
go out there like I have CMC. I have Brian
Robinson Jr. There because if something were to happen, God forbid,
Brian Robinson Jr. Would become a starter the following week.
So this is what you want to do. Kind of
go through manage your roster that way. Perhaps think about
picking up a backup quarterback jazz thing case you never
know what's gonna happen. There's just four teams left in

(07:33):
your playoffs, so you're probably not gonna have to fight
through too many situations like that. However, I do think
it's prudent right now, make sure you have your handcuffs,
make you have your lineup set up and ready to go.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I know for a lot of people you are maybe
shuffling between quarterbacks and trying to figure out what the
best situation is here for me. For instance, like I
got to take on Kareem Falcone, whose team is a
juggernaut in the playoffs this week, and I got am
I gonna start Trevor Lawrence at Denver against the Broncos,
Or maybe do I go with Bryce Young, who's sitting
on my bench, going against a Bucks defense that has
just been really bad against the posing quarterbacks for a while.

(08:07):
Now you go back to Week ten, quarterbacks averaging over
twenty five fantasy points per game against this Tampa Bay defense.
They've gone six straight games allowing at least eighteen fantasy points.
We saw Kirk Cousins carve them up last week on
Thursday Night Football. So you know, if you were maybe
struggling between a couple of quarterbacks, look at Bryce Young, who's.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Got a really good opportunity this week. Yeah, a big
matchup for you.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Korean Falcone is the Patriots of our fantasy and Hytham
is the Giants and those who are going to.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Meet up once again.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
I think, folks, a smart Simmi smart move will be
to start Tyler Aljier this week. He famously leads the
Falcons in goal line carries, and he's playing against the
Arizona Cardinals, who've given up the fourth most points the
running backs this season. They've fallen off the earth down
the stretch in run defense. For those of you who
got the wrong side of the commander's backfield situation late,

(08:58):
or we're relying on Kareem Hunt, I think starting Tyler
Alsier is a Sidney smart move you can make here
in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
You also disrespected our producer Alex willk who's also in
the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah, Wilk's in the playoffs, but not a perennial Fantasy
Live League.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Power is not the trophy back there. He is on
the trope.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
It has been Kareem and Hythem extensively. Adamerica refuses to
acknowledge Hythem.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
I don't know who it is. I still think it's
somebody's burner account.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Real person works here for years, a big part of
this program, even though he's not on it right now.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Okay, apparently.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
So. Sweep to the.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Right to Davis finds a crease to the twenty to
the fifteen.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
He's at the.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Ten front right pilone. He's in for a jet touchdown.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Isaiah Davis found a crease and hit a different gear,
zoomed into the end zone. First rushing touchdown of the
season for Isaiah Davis on the second.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Of his Jet career.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
If you just watched that play from the Jets Jacks.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Game, you wouldn't think, Wow, was that real? It was
a little bit of a barrage.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Perhaps Isaiah Davis the leading rusher Marcus Grant going to
sort through whether or not these performances we can actually
believe in them, and so was that it was that the.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Real Isaiah Davis.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Are we set for the rest of the postseason with
the Jets backup running back Marcus No.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
No, we are not.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
That is a mirage and I think I don't think
anybody is going to be.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Surprised by that.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
But for me, the bigger point is Dove Tailor was
something Adam Ranks said earlier in the show about using
this opportunity to weed out.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Your bench, pick up your handcuffs.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Don't get what you saw from Isaiah Davis and think
that he's the guy you want to get to sort
of back up your Breeze Hall one, because this is
still a bad offense.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Breze Hall is still the RB one there.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
What you saw on Sunday was because it was a blowout.
Davis had a season high nine carries, five of them
came in the third and fourth quarters.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
So I mean, if you're going to back up your.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Running backs, you probably want to do it on an
offense that you believe can actually be productive. The Jets
so much are not that even if we still like
Breeze Hall, like his talent everything else, it's just not
worth the fab.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
In this case.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Okay, So a mirage there for Isaiah Davis. Let's go
to a guy who actually starts. In the past couple
of weeks, Tony Pollard has been spectacular. Two hundred and
sixty five yards. He went up and did it against
the Browns and then the forty nine ers.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Was that real or just a mirajh?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
I think it's real, And I guess I want to
start by apologizing because last week I said Tony Pollard
was a mirage, and then he went out and put
up over eighteen fantasy points against the forty nine ers.
And I think what it has to do with, at
least in part, is because the last couple of weeks
the Titans have been able to stay in the ball game.
So much of Pollard's ineffectiveness was because they were playing

(11:36):
from behind. It was such a negative game strip they
just could not run the football. But he's been very
efficient running the ball. And you look at the next
couple of weeks. They've got the Chiefs now without Patrick Mahomes,
They've got the Saints who don't really have a ton
of offensive firepower. So there's a very real circumstance in
which Tennessee could still be sort of hanging around in
these games. It's not gonna have to be Cam Wore

(11:57):
dropping back and throwing the football thirty five forty times.
So I think Tony Pollard, as long as he remains efficient,
I'd like him to get more targets, but that doesn't seem
that's going to happen. But he's efficient running the football,
and as long as the game script stays fairly neutral,
I think he can be productive for you.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
All Right, congrasces to the Tony Pollard managers out there.
Let's go elsewhere where. George Pickens was lighting up the league.
But the past couple of weeks there's been a significant falloff.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Is that falloff real or miron? I think it's a mirage.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Now.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I say that with the caveat that he do have
a tough matchup this week against the Los Angeles Chargers,
But we saw what we saw from him in Week fifteen,
just six targets, the fewest he's had in a game
since Week seven, just a fourth time all year he's
had fewer than nine in a game. So yeah, there's
definitely some concern with what we've seen from him the
last couple of seasons, but this is still one of
the past heaviest offenses in the league. All season long,

(12:46):
Pickings has been great. He's a top five wide receiver
averaging about eighteen Fantasy.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Points per game.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
So even if the last couple of weeks have not
been great, I just think there's too much going on
with the Cowboys passing game and there's been too much
good from George Pickens to believe that he can't break
out of this slump.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
To another wide receiver who had a lot of good
earlier in the season. But there's another late season fallof
for Michael Pittman junior. Is Philip Rivers coming back going
to lead to positivity? It was those fall off reel
or Moron I'm positive.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
This falloff is real, sadly with Michael Pittman Junior, and
it actually goes back to even before Philip Rivers came
in for Indianapolis. You go back to even before Daniel
Jones got hurt. Pittman had fewer than thirty receiving yards
and four of his previous five games, fewer than six
fantasy points in three of his last five games. Now,
it does not help when Philip Rivers is averaging with

(13:34):
less than four and a half yards per attempt.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Maybe that was about a.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Forty four year old guy coming back after a five
year layoff against one of.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
The best defenses in the league.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Or maybe it's just that Philip Rivers doesn't have the
same level of arm strength anymore because there were a
lot of floaters going out there to some of those
Colts pass catchers. So it does very much worry me
about having Michael Pittman in my lineup at this point.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
All right, So there's a couple of options for you
in terms of how to valuate things. We get a
real fall off for Michael Pittman Junior, a mirage falloff
for George Pickens and Isaiah Davis.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
We don't necessarily believe that will be long term.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
But if you've got bad news Fantasy was, why don't
we spice up your options in the playoffs with this
edition of the Waiver Wire Hot Sauce.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Thank you so much, Patrick.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
It's time to bring the heat for the Fantasy Football
semi final round. We have got four flavor profiles. They
get you ready for this round of the playoffs. We're
gonna start off with the mild but flavorful, a delicacy
that we tried to serve for you last week. And
now it might be too late, but we got to

(14:37):
go out and reiterate the Saints defense is a great
streamule option.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
We told you last week. Get your ducks in a row.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
Get ready, because I don't want you to show up
and find out that all the reservations are gone. Everybody's
already picked it up. People watch this show, believe it
or not. They watch this show. They listen to what
we say. The Saints are going up against the Jets,
who have allowed fifty sacks this season.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
That is the third most in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
The Jets are scoring under twenty points per game, which
means this is a huge opportunity for the Saints defense
who has.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Been playing great.

Speaker 5 (15:09):
So again, if you need to stream, it might be
too late. But that is our mild but flavorful That
was Temple. Hold on, Chunky be, I got you a good.
Hold on, Chunky b I got you again.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Oh what's out?

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Ah?

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Righton? Got away from us? All right, let's get spicy.
Let's get spicy.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
And again for anybody out there who had Patrick Mahomes
and now you're wondering which direction do we go in,
Let's talk about.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Jaj mccar karthy for a second.

Speaker 5 (15:33):
Obviously one of the most memorable quarterbacks in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Right now, it's funny.

Speaker 5 (15:37):
I enjoy it, but you guys wrote him off way
too early. Give him an opportunity to go out there
and show what he can do. Over the last couple
of weeks, he has scored at least twenty Fantasy points
in back to back games, really starting to find his rhythm.
KOC finally realized at some point, you know what, you
can't just you just can't take some cooks and behold
them to a recipe. You gotta let them go out there,

(15:58):
give a pinch of this, a dash of that, let
them go out there and cook the way that they
have done throughout the majority of their life. And we
have seen JJ McCarthy come up just as long as
he's not targeting Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
I don't know what that is. I don't know what's
going on.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
I will say this though, Minnesota trade Justin Jefferson, trade
him to the AFC.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
We don't need to see him anymore. We're all good.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
But JJ McCarthy is a pretty good opportunity, a pretty
good option for you if.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
You're looking for a quarterback this league. Let's get it
away again. They're drifting, all right, Let's.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Go with the three alarm, three alarmed, and we're gonna
go with Jawar Jordan, who last week amazed everybody as
he took over that Texans backfield, running through everybody.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
He had over one hundred rushing yards on just fifteen carries.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
And you're watching this, You're like, where is this guy? Ben?

Speaker 5 (16:45):
What is this the reincarnation of Arian Foster who is
coming out of nowhere becoming a legitimate fantasy superstar. The
only thing that I would caution you is that the
Houston Texans have already said that if Woody Marks or
Woody Marx could have gone.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Back into the game if it had been doubt.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
They're playing the Cardinals like that's like we're playing the
Cardinal It's like kind of like when you have some
people visiting, you know, like, you know what, I'm not
bringing out the good stuff, you know what I'm saying,
Like we're not bringing out the good salsa. You can
go get the paste pacate sauce and put it out there.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
They're not going to know the difference.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
That's pretty much what it's like going up against the
Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
But Juar Jordan does deserve to be on your roster.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
If again, you have woody marks and you want to
have some insurance, so'll go out and pick them up.
Right now, now it's time for Adah.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Did did you get that? Did you get that on camera?
That was amazing?

Speaker 5 (17:34):
That's two for two and two days, Chunky, unbelievable. What's
also unbelievable is that we're gonna go held Diablo with
something from Arizona. And if you I know that I
sit here and I take shots at Arizona. Let me
read you a text from one of our loyal viewers,
Mark Depolo hey Rank went to Chandler Arizona with Martin Cassias.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Hey, Mark, what's going on the Mexican Place? We went served.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Marinara's sauce and set us all. So I'm telling you,
why does Arizona even exist?

Speaker 4 (18:03):
We don't need him anymore. I don't understand. What are
you doing?

Speaker 5 (18:07):
You're so close to right on the board in any event,
Michael will Oh, Michael Carter.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Excuse me. Michael Carter is a really good option. Bam night.
We got some bad news about him.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
It feels like Michael Carter is gonna go out there
and get the start. He's going up against the Falcons,
whove allowed the sixth most receiving yards per games to
running back, which is great because the Cardinals are always losing,
which means Jacoby Rossett is always throwing and he's gonna
be able to target Michael Carter out of the backfield.
They've also the Falcons have allowed the ninth rost rushing
yards per games for.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Running back since Week ten. That's the rest. Oh, that
was terrible. I'm sorry. Hold on, hold on one more.
Oh got him, Chason finally got him.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
You committed, You committed, and we are committed to bringing
you more fantasy sports and entertainment here in a.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
Couple of moments.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
For example, who are some of the top rookie running
backs could win you a fantasy football championship. Marcus Grant
is gonna be bringing that breaking that down right after
the bump.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
You don't want to miss it.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
What uzz.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Welcome back to NFL Fantasy Live. It's time for another
edition of My five and with the Fantasy semi Finals
upon us, I've got my five league winners who can
carry you through both weeks sixteen and seventeen to help
you win a championship.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
So let's get started.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
At number five with Darren Waller, who we saw go
off on Monday Night Football.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
He doesn't catch the ball often, but when he does,
it's very likely a touchdown. Twenty catches this year, six touchdowns,
seven in zone targets. He's been targeted on more than
twenty percent of his routes. And over the next couple
of weeks, he's got the Cincinnati Bengals, who were the
best matchup for tight ends, and in Week seventeen, these
type of a Buccaneers, who were the fifth best.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
Matchup for the tight end position. Number four and Juan Jennings.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
He scored a touchdown in five of his last six games,
has eight straight games of at least five targets. Ricky
Piersol is awakening, possibly get open up some more opportunities,
or if Pierceaul is banged up, maybe that alone needs
more chances for Juwan Jennings.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Either way, he's.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Got the Colts in Week sixteen, or the third best
matchup for wide receivers. Week seventeen, it's the Bears, who
are a top ten matchup for the wide receiver position.
At number three, it's Chase Brown, whose name is a
full sentence. He's been the RB eight since Week eight,
averaging nearly nineteen Fantasy points per game and targets galore,

(20:38):
the third highest target share for the Bengals since Week nine,
seven or more targets in five of his last seven games.
He's got the Dolphins, who've improved a little bit but
still an average at best matchup for running backs, and
in Week seventeen against the Cardinals, who have been offled
against running backs all season long. At number two, it's
Traveon Henderson. He has finally been unleashed by Mike Rabel.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
And Josh McDaniels.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
The RB five since Week ten, averaging twenty two point
six fantasy points per game. That's actually tied with Christian
McCaffrey for third most in that stretch.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Week sixteen, he's.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
At Baltimore against the Ravens, that's the top twelve matchup
four running backs in a Week seventeen against the Woebegone
Jets the third best matchup for the running back position,
and at number one it's Sakwon Barkley. Yeah, it's been
an underwhelming season so far, but it's setting up for
a strong finish. Back to back games with a touchdown
and seventeen or more fantasy points. The Eagles the fourth

(21:36):
run heaviest offense in the NFL. In two great matchups
to finish up Week sixteen at the Washington Commanders sixth
best four running backs. In Week seventeen the Buffalo Bills,
who we have been targeting all year long with.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
The running back position.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
So sa Quon get drafted him to help you win
a championship, and he very well could do that over
the final two weeks of the season.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
And there you go, my five league winners for.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Twenty twenty five, and you know what, winning a championship
probably gonna help you be a lot more chill, and
hopefully Patrick that can help you out.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
No, no, Marcus, That's why I teleconference with an amateur therapist,
because I'm not even in the consolation bracket, much less
a league winner. Because once again, the players that I
have counted on, the players that I trusted and believed
would come through for me, they didn't just let themselves down,
they most importantly let me down them. We'll start with
Jamir Gibbs. How am I supposed to explain this to

(22:29):
the rest of my family, Jamiir Gibbs, who struggled to
even communicate me with me in the first place, Because
you you go out there as the guy that scores
the most points on offense, that scores a lot of points.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
And you're in a score nest across the street from
where I am right now, and you get less than
ten points, less than ten points, not just that you're
involved in somebody else's touchdown celebrations.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Why am I sitting there watching you celebrate with.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Somebody else and you didn even win a fake rate?

Speaker 5 (22:56):
Oh nah, We're not doing this right now. Jamir Gibbs
has been such a loyal player for you, for the
entirety of the season. You know, sometimes when you're taking
a trip up to Mammoth or whatnot, the journey is
sometimes better than the destination. And that's what Jamir Gibbs
got you to this point. And it's some sometime you

(23:19):
just gotta rely on some other dudes to step up.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
It gets you through. But here's the thing, here's the
good news.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
For anybody who survived this bad week from Jamiir Gibbs.
Maybe you were on a bye maybe you had some
other dudes who stepped up like they should.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
This is not a one man team.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
The one thing about the Lions man, they look after
their own. And you know Dan Campbell, that guy Zagro,
he's out there drinking like eight cups of coffee. But
you know he always he always goes out and if
his guys overlooked for a week, he goes out the
next time and just absolutely feeds him the rock. So
Jamir Gibbs is gonna go out there and cook the

(24:00):
Steelers this week. So when it comes to Jamir, you
gotta cheap, bra.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Jamir, I'm sorry, I can trust you. I can count
on Jamiir Gifts to give me points. Hunter Henry Hunter
Henry two point eight points in that game. Another game
where you're watching all starts of players score points and
it's like, yeah, oh, Hunter Henry is gonna give me
something two pointed. I could have started Devin Cole. I
could have down and started Foster Morole. So, Hunter Henry,

(24:26):
why are you doing this? I am hunting for options
to replace you. Hunter Henry, you will never play on
my fantasy and that's why hold on, man, This is
why you gotta go up there and see the full picture.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Man, Like you know what, this wasn't the only triple H.
The people were mad at this weekend. Like of course
everybody was mad the wwez Triple H because they had
John Cena tapping out, which was the right.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Thing to do.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Similarly, benching Hunter Henry against the bills, dude, the bills
are so gnarly against opposing tight ends.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
You should have made other options.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
So if you're starting double H and expecting more, that's
on you. However, he's had at least spent eleven Fantasy
points and two out of his last three he's got
better matchups on the horizon. Look over your shoulder, bro,
there's another set rolling in Double Overhead double h is

(25:29):
gonna go out there and kill it for you. So
when it comes to my guy Hunter, Henry.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
You got a chip brouh okay, Hunter, I'm sorry, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
I don't know what came over me. Perhaps I was
thinking about.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Fellow South Bay resident Land McConkie. We Darvinus mccaky, you
get hit right second, right now, and you explained to
me how you only have two catches against the Kansas
City Chiefs. I know the quarterbacks got one hand right now,
he's playing with Mickey Mouse's glove on. But essentially, essentially
I was failed here. You let me down more than

(26:02):
the large language model that I use for dating advice,
and it always tells me to wear fingerless gloves. I
don't really understand that, maybe just because it doesn't know
how to do hands yet, but still laugh.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
I'm upset with you, and it's.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
This this weekend man, going out there on the shores
of Lake Michigan. I realize mittens are the way to
go bro, not the fingerless gloves, full on mittens, But
I gotta be honest with you, it was super disapporting
to go out there to watch the lee the Wi
Lad Macconkee, go out there and just not torch this

(26:37):
chief defense. But you know what, man, this I got
some good news for you. Hopefully you survive. You understand. Listen,
you missed that set that was rolling in. That stuff's
just gonna happen, Patrick, and you gotta let it go.
You can't let that bring you down, especially when you
gotta match up against the Dallas Cowboys, an eliminated Dallas

(26:59):
Cowboys team with nothing to play for, against the Chargers.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Who have everything to play for.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
So Lad McConkey is gonna step up.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I guarantee it.

Speaker 5 (27:10):
So when it comes to the wee, Ladmaconkee, you gotta
chibe maximum chill.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Lad, I am sorry. And yeah, the matchup against the
team with nothing to plays so good, even when they
did have something to play for. With NFL Plus, keep

Slash Network terms and conditions apply. You can use NFL
Plus to find next Gen stats, like our research team
does to crown the cardio King every week, and this
week the honors go to Bengals wide out Andre Yosuvas.
The former Princeton standout, was tracked by next Gen Stats
running one thousand, three and three yards round Paikort Stadium

(28:02):
and all he got to show for that was one target,
zero catches, and zero Fantasy points. But Yoshi, at the
very least you got your cardio in. What about the
opposite of the cardio King. What about the highest scoring
perfect lineup of the twenty twenty five season. Because Tremblin
for forty four, Kyle Pitts for forty five, and Alma
Honra for forty one points big parts there in a

(28:26):
two hundred and ninety six point nine perfect lineup. So
let's project the perfect lineup four week sixteen. As we
get to the ones rank, who's the QB one?

Speaker 4 (28:36):
You know I'm gonna go Jalen Hurts. The Eagles were.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
Able to bounce back against the Raiders, and good newsdays
is a play a defense is probably just as decimated
and also not playing for anything in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
This week, I will say.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
That Jalen Hurts has had nine games with the least
nineteen fantasy points this season. The Commanders have allowed the
fifth most fantasy points per games to quarterbacks this year,
and they've allowed the second most totally yards per game
in the NFL this season. I believe that the Eagles
continue their get right streak and have a big game
against the Commanders this week.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Well, I looked at the matchups and nothing. He immediately
jumped out of me.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
So I said, well, why not take the guy who's
the QB one overall, and that is Josh Allen.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
He's got five top five.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Finishes this year, three weeks finishing as the QB one,
nine games at least thirty rushing yards. That's a big
part of why we love Josh Allen in fantasy. He's
accounted for three or more touchdowns in a game seven
at different times this year. And look for all the
frustrations of the Bills offense part of the recent they
are still in position to maybe come back and win

(29:41):
the AFC East. Part of why Josh Allen is in
the MVP conversation is because when the chips are down,
he puts on that Superman cap and does his thing,
So why not believe he can do it again this
week even against the good Cleveland defense.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Yeah, the defense has had some trouble as of late.
Let's go to the running back position. I told you
earlier to start Tyland I was here. You're obviously gonna
start Jon Robinson, but I think he will be the
RB one. He's got more scrimmage yards per game than
anybody in the league. And the Arizona Cardinals have fallen.
You know, the question regarding the existence of the state

(30:17):
and the hot sauce and the Marin aerosauce situation, you
could also apply it to this defense as of late. Now,
if you've got Jamir Gibbs and Bajon for Summerson, Yeah,
you're not starting both Alsier and Robinson, but I think
both backs are viable, especially in some playoff scenarios now
of that lineup.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
And I also love going with James Cook this week
at Cleveland. Now, obviously James Cook has been amazing thirty
one point one points in Week fifteen, eleven games with
one hundred points scrimmage yards this season, the third most
touchdowns in the NFL. But this Brown's defense, and again
the Browns have great personnel on defense, but they've been
really vulnerable to the run.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
In recent weeks.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
They've allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to
running backs over the last month. We saw what DeAndre
Swift did to this team on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
I expect James Cook to do similar.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Well. My wide receivers sort of like the quarterbacks win
in doubt. Just picked the guy who's number one overall,
and that's Jackson Smith and Jigbu in a huge game
kind of a I won't say it's a gotta have
a game, but pretty close for the Seattle Seahawks. JAYSN
nine games with over one hundred receiving yards this season,
ten games with at least seven receptions, and even against
a good defense the Rams a good defense, but we

(31:29):
saw in Week eleven JAYSN nine catches one hundred and
five yards in that game. That was good enough to
be the wide receiver six. This is an incredibly narrowly
funneled pass the game. It's Jackson Smith and Jigba and
then everybody else is fighting for whatever's left over. I
think that's going to be the case for Sam Darnold
for the Seahawks on Thursday night, and I think he's
gonna be in the running for that top wide receiver spot.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
I think will be tired the people who actually listened
to AJ Brown a few weeks ago when he said
don't have him in fantasy, drop him in fantasy, because
he's the wide receiver four if you go back to
a week eleven, and he's got a great matchup against
the Commander's secondary that has struggled to cover wide receivers,
and he's getting loaded up with targets ten or more
targets in four of the last five games. So I

(32:11):
think AJ has a chance to be the wide receiver one.
And when we come back here on NFL Fantasy, a
loud Trevor Lawrence the QB one on Sunday on a
sunny day in Jacksonville, but it's hardly pool weather for
the most of the country, so we're not sure his
fantasy forecast will be so sunny away from home against
the Broncos. Don't miss our weather report coming up next

(32:32):
on Fantasy lot.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Oh, the weather outside.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Is weather, and all around the country we've seen some
really tough conditions for players.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
To deal with this month.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Of course, football guy loves it from the comfort of
his or her couch, but as we reached the coldest
time of the year, you need your fantasy.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
Players to stay hot.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
So it is time for our Fantasy forecast and to
help us out with it, Fantasy's version of Jim Cantor
is out in the field to let us know how
we should feel about some boom or bus players heading
into Week sixteen. So rank, who's the guy that you
were a little bit on the fence about this week?

Speaker 5 (33:27):
First of all, let me say for all those softies
out there, I left California this past weekend to go
to Chicago.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
You have no excuse.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
But one player that I'm gonna be looking at is
Drake May who obviously once again scored over twenty Fantasy
points last week against.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
The Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
But now he's got a Cup matchup against the Baltimore Ravens,
who despite the fact that the Ravens are scuffling for
the AFC North title with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The defense
has been playing good. So what is the weather forecast
for Drake May this week?

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I'm very glad that you brought that up, mister Rank,
because I understand the weather is a bit of an
issue over there in the States. You know, my friend
Ed Poe reached out to me and he wanted to
know if I could find if I could search to
find the way the Baltimore Ravens get a stop against
Drake May, and I just don't see it. I have
a projection of twenty six point full fantasy points because

(34:22):
this Ravens defense has struggled against the deep pass, and
Drake May and these Patriots are very, very gifted and
talented in that aspect, and so I think it's a
bounce back game for New England and a solid fantasy
performance for Drake May.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
All right, Jollie, good show for Drake May against the
Ravens this week.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
That's cool.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
I just have to ask though about Trevor Lawrence because
he's been on fire lately. In fact, Yokover's last three
games nine combined touchdown passes, no interceptions, also has a
touchdown run in that stretch. I mean, just went absolutely
ballistic against the Jets last week with over forty four
Fantasy points. Actually has had nineteen or more in his

(35:02):
last three games. I mean, you see that there the
QB one since Week twelve. But he's going against the
Broncos defense that has been really good all year long.
They get after the quarterback, they cause pressure, they cause havoc,
and you know, we've seen sometimes when Trevor Lawrence gets
at the fender or two in his face, then maybe
things go a little bit sideways. So, I mean, everything's
been so good for this offense lately, and I'm just

(35:23):
wondering whether or not Trevor Lawrence could kind of keep
it going despite having such a tough matchup defensively. I mean, Patrick,
what is the forecast for te law this week?

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Well, you know, Marcus, looking at this weather situation, I'm
actually reporting from the Atlantic Coast of Florida, just away
from where the Jacksonville Jaguars play four feet above sea level,
where it's a nice fifty nine degrees right now. It's
not too far off from the actual forecast in Denver, Colorado.
I am forecasting a relatively nice, surprisingly nice nineteen points

(35:55):
for Trevor Lawrence, who again is exceedingly hot right now,
tearing up defenses, having all time performances for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
And I understand the Broncos defense is good, but you
have to look at Trevor Lawrence's rushing upside. So yeah,
all solid and surprisingly nice performance if it gets a
good defense.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
That is my forecast for trip. That looked very nice
out there.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
If you get an opportunity, stop by Angel Beach go
see how the weather is doing to other But here's
my thing. One of my favorite players in the NFL
is David Montgomery, and I know that he's had a
rushing touchdown in three consecutive games, but I'm still worried
about this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, the good
news is that all that frightful weather we saw in
Pittsburgh on Monday night is not going to be an

(36:39):
issue in Detroit where they play indoors. However, still David
Montgomery going up against a Steelers team that is going
that's still got something to play for, still got some
juice left a little bit in that defense, I thought
last night that we'd see a little bit more out
of the Miami rushing attack. But again, I'm curious that's

(37:00):
about the way Detroit handles this. We talked about this
earlier in the show. Jamiir Gibbs, we expect him to
bounce back, but there's so many different people. You gotta
go with Jamison Williams, you gotta go with a mon Ross,
Saint Brown Patrick. What is the forecast for David Montgomery.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Well, you know, David Montgomery famously a Bear, right, That's
the big part of the reason you developed that definity
for him.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
My forecasts are because the Bear does.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Not necessarily have a great game coming up against the
Pittsburgh Steelers. We discussed this Dan Campbell, who is, you know,
highly caffeinated and ready to get plays for Jamiir Gibbs
who scored less than ten fantasy points. I think Jamiir
Gibbs has a huge day, David Montgomery gets a few carries,
perhaps you have a chance of a touchdown, but barely
any fantasy points for the former Bear.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
Sad Yeah, with that look, I'm a David Montgomery fan.
Definitely a little bit that kind of hits you right
here in the fields.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Meanwhile brought Bauers, right. I get it.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
The tight end position is one where the bar is
low for success, and this has not been the year
I think a lot of people hope for from Brock Bowers,
but it's not really his fault. I mean, the quarterback
situation has been questionable, the offensive line has been terrible.
He missed some games with an injury, so he just
hasn't really been able to duplicate that. But nonetheless he's
still putting up sort of tight end one kind of numbers.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
But this week they're on the road.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
They're in Houston, which I guess it means weather won't
necessarily be a problem, at least the.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Atmospheric kind of weather.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
But I worry that that Texans defense might rain all
sorts of hell down upon this Raiders offense. And so
now I sort of worry about Brock Bowers. I mean,
can I trust him? I know he's probably gonna get
a lot of targets, but you know, I look, Geno
Smith hasn't been great. Can he pickt hasn't been great?
I mean, Patrick, what can I expect from Bowers this week?

Speaker 2 (38:46):
H Yeah, I'm here, guys checking out this Raiders situation.
I understand it's indoors and they're playing in Houston. Yeah,
this is a total rebuild, right. We got the construction
situation going on where you're looking at the Raiders and
you get broocked back hours with a decent game, not
the Brock Bowers game that you would expect. The point
projections not very high considering the circumstances. You get just

(39:08):
north to ten points. But looking around at the circumstances,
they don't even have construction hats. They give me a
helmet because you know, at a certain point they like
they're gonna pull Darth Vader out of the stands and
put him on the on the team, and chim Kelly
has taken all the hard hats away.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
This this is this is all that's left.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
It's a rough situation out here, guys.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
Oof not good at all for Brockviars Pastia.

Speaker 3 (39:30):
We appreciate it. Uh, stay safe out there and make
sure you're the hardest and come back from more weather
on the.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Eighth time for the playoff. Predict off, because you guys
have some tough decisions to make, so why not have
Marcus and Adam make those decisions right here on our show?
For you, Marcus, you are up first. Better Week sixteen.
Start at quarterback, Bo Knicks or Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Yeah, this was the close one for me, but I'm
gonna go with Stafford, mostly because they're both playing really
good defenses. But Bo Nix has stopped running the football,
so we're just gonna talk about guys who are standing
in the pocket and slinging the rock. Matthew Stafford's been
on an unbelievable heater this year, even potentially without DeVante Adams.
I think I still trust him to get the ball
to Pook and Nakua, so I give him the advantage.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
All right, let's go to another pair of quarterbacks, this
one for you, Rick Better Week sixteen. Start Herbo with
one hand it is the throw hand, or Joey Burrow,
who's trying to manage the crystals coming off the worst
game he's ever had.

Speaker 5 (40:22):
Who's still having fun playing football? That would be I'm
gonna go with what who's still having fun? Herbal's having fun?

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (40:29):
I thought you said Burrow. No, Herbal exactly, I'm gonna go. Yeah,
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
With Justin Herbert with something to play for with the
LA Chargers in addition to that, you're playing the Dallas Cowboys,
who've allowed the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks
this season.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
It's a rather easy selection for me.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
So I'm going with Herbo all Right to the running
back position in Week sixteen, Marcus Quinn Shawn Judkins against
the Bills or Tyrone Tracy against Brian Flores in the Vikings.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
I'm gonna go Judkins in this one, and he's been struggling.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
The last few weeks.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
He got off to a hot start, has cooled down somewhat,
but it's just a much better matchup. We've been targeting
the Bills with running backs all season long. I don't
love Tracy's matchup against the Vikings. Plus this Brown's often
still trying to make things a little bit easier on
Shudeur Sanders, so I do expect a few easy targets.
He's been getting Jenkins beginning three or four of those
a game. I think that helps out a lot with
his overall production this week.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Another running back for you, Rick Isaiah Davis was in
our discussion earlier today before we talked bres Hall Breeshall
against the Saints or Omarion Hampton against those Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (41:29):
You know, I like playing the Saints defense against this
Jets team, but I'm that's still good. I still like Brisall.
I still think that he is one of the better
running backs in the league. I think that the Jets
are going to have to attack the Saints on the ground,
So I'm gonna go with the volume play right here.
Amarion Hampton is still working his way into the Chargers lineup.
He did have more carries than Kamani Vidal on Sunday

(41:52):
when they play. Yeah, sad, whatever it was, But I'm
gonna go with Brisol all right.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Breshall gets to start there for rek. What about in
the wide receiver spot, Marcus Justin Jefferson against the Giants
or Jamison Williams against the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
As much as it pains me, I'm gonna say Jamison
Williams over Justin Jefferson. I mean, the Lions have been
a lot more productive lately. Jamo the wide receiver seven
since Week six, you' sat wide receiver five since Week eight,
seventeen or more points in five of his last six plus.
As much as I want to believe in Justin Jefferson,
for whatever reason, JJ McCarthy is super accurate to everybody else.

(42:27):
He starts into a Stormtrooper when throwing to Jefferson. It's
been a rough, rough stretch.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
One more before we go, Ry, are you starting tedor
Roald McMillan or Rashie.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
Rice in the playoffs?

Speaker 5 (42:39):
You know with this matchup, it's Ted McMillan for me,
really easy one, a great matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And of course Rashee Rice has Gardner Minshew throwing him
the football, so I think that one we get pritty
much SISCA with Ted for the rest.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Of the season. Yeah, it's a rough stretch for the kids.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
I'm asking again thanks for tuning in to the Fantasy
Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast Marcus Florio and
to help you will be back in your feed tomorrow.
