Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow. Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy
Football Podcast. I'm Patrick Claybann.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I'll be joined by Marcus Grant and Adam Rank.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Coming up today, It's Thanksgiving week, so we're taking a
deep dive into the fantasy tripleheader on Thursday. Plus, Marcus
Grant has five players that fantasy owners should have void
during this week's holiday, and Adam Rank has a surprise
running back to target on the waiver Wire. That's all
today on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast. Everybody looking to
NFL Fantasy Love.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Patrick Claibon here with Adam Rank and Marcus.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Grant kick it off Week thirteen in the National Football League.
Oh set for though?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Is you a full government national football?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
On this show? Which we will start with some humble brags?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Do you have any for the people? Right?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Oh? You know what? You know what?
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I do a waiver wire segment on the show called
the Waiverire Hot Saze and I'm belone the fact that
people don't and cuffs their running backs. And I told
people about a month ago. Pick up Emmanuel Wilson. If
you have joh thank you so much. If you have
Josh Jacobs and it paid off this week. This is why,
this is why you handcuff those players, especially when you've
already determined who your starters are going to be.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, I mean that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
I'm gonna stay kind of in that same vein though,
because I've been big on trying to figure out streaming
defenses for people this year, and I said, go stream
the Packers defense if you need somebody. They're playing against
the Vikings. I'm gonna take this humble brag with a guy.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Who used to look like me but does it anymore.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
But you know, like they swored what they scored eighteen
points for a defense, which means they were twice as
good as nine, which sort of showed on the field
this week.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Got there, it is nine. This nine is nine. You
have to provide the strays for nine, and then nine
is born.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
At this rage.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
As we get into some rage, maybe a little.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Bit, I'll touch seems was pretty good last night, Mark,
He's been pretty good all year.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
He is the overall.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Top scorer in fantasy football. Plus, you know, I think
an under discussed fact of this was this was a
revenge game for him, right his first time playing the
Carolina Panthers. It seems like he's been in San Francisco forever.
You would have thought this would have happened before, but
it hasn't. Fifth time this year he's had thirty or
more touches, the tenth game he's had with more than
one hundred scrimmage yards. At first, I thought they were
(02:23):
going to make the whole plane out of Christian McCaffrey.
I believe the first five plays the Niners ran went
to him. Eventually they decided to diversify and get other
people involved, including the Panthers defensive backs.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
But by the way, CMC still very good.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Oh and he had more than forty two receiving urge,
which means take it to the rank. Went four for
four this week. Don't worry about that. Brock Perty though
not great in this contest. A couple of bad throws
in this one, And after the game, Kyle Shanahan was
asked about this directly, and he was very just dismissive
of it. He said, listen, those were three throws. I
(02:58):
want to make sure I say this correctly. He throws
that he wished he had back a little bit late,
over the middle and late. That's one of the one
of the cardinal rules of stuff that you don't want
to do is over the middle and late and you
know there was no there's not there's not a quarterback
controversy there. Kyle was quick to snuff that out. So
I it'll get better for brock Party. This was a
tough matchup, a tough one. A couple of HeSE throws
(03:20):
got away from him, but still in a in a
in a league though with it which will have no
buys this week. You might have other quarterback options, so
you want to go out and check that as well.
But again, don't don't be overly concerned. Rock Party will
be just fine.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah, Wrinkles asking me at the top show out didn't
take any humble backscause I was wrong about almost everything off.
You were not right, Young. I told multiple folks is
gonna have North with twenty points.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
And that would have changed things.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
That nasty pick at the start of the game probably
bugs some fantasy managers would have really altered his scor.
He finished with eight point two Fantasy points and a
case for past interference to be reviewable on that play
as well. Those two interceptions the most since Week one
for Bryce Young. Gotta think things maybe better as long
as he's playing the Falcons, Brice is pretty good. Elsewhere
(04:07):
things have not been so great in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Marcus, Yeah, Rico Dawdell, it was a frustrating night for
Rico Dowdell, no doubt. I mean, this is the guy
who's been a waiver wire hero for you for the
last several weeks, especially once Schuba Hubbard went down. He
took over and you know, was just going crazy. Eleven
point four points last night, lowis total he's had since
Week eight. A little bit surprising because the Niner run
(04:29):
defense hadn't been all that great this year.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It's a good news bad news situation.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
The good news is he's still very much the RB
one there in Kroenlina had sixty five percent of the
snaps last night. The bad news is they played the
Rams next week, who have been great defensively for a
long time now.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah. Maybe the Rams scoring all those points, maybe that
would be the good news as they get more opportunity.
I hope you guys got the good news when you
logged on and get the U one message. If you didn't, well,
keep on watching. We'll win in week thirty. Let's look
upon and games upon it all of its glory. The
perfect lineup, which this week includes Seamus Winston and Wydale Robinson.
(05:07):
How about that Eddie Bourgallis is the kicker won and
oh yeah, Jamiir Gibbs had fifty five point four top
ten Fantasy running back performance of all time from Jamiir Gibbs.
So let's go ahead and predict the perfect lineup for
Week thirteen. Who's going to be the QB one?
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Right?
Speaker 3 (05:24):
You know, I'm gonna go with a little bit of
a value play right here and go with cam Ward
who had a career high had close to twenty four
Fantasy points over the week, and he has had at
least thirty rushing yards in back to back games. One
of the things that I've really liked about cam we
knew the arm talent was there really starting to make
some great throws. Going back watching this game, obviously they
(05:47):
were in a deficit, they were playing catch up and
there was a lot of opportunities to throw against one
of the better defenses in the league. So as you
watch it, ever since they made the change at the
coaching spot, cam Ward's gotten a lot better and I
think it's going to continue to get better. This week
they have the Jags, who allowed the six most fantasy
points per game to quarterbacks the season. They've allowed at
least eighteen fantasy points to a quarterback in six of
(06:08):
the last seven games.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
And for some people like me who have.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Been writing Joe Flacco for the last couple of weeks,
I'm putting in the bid for cam Ward because I'm
still waiting for Jayden Daniels to return. So I think
he's got a really good option and really good opportunity
this week.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
So if Rank's gonna go value pick, I'm going to
go more of the higher end luxury pick with Lamar Jackson.
And I get it, the last few weeks have not
been particularly great, but this feels like a get right
game for Lamar.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
I mean, he's kind of been.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
On the struggle bus fewer than eight points and back
to bad games fewer than seventeen and four of his
last five.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
But Bengals, right, they.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Have been a top three matchup for quarterbacks pretty.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Much all season long.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
On top of that, they're not going to have Trey
Hendrickson coming up this Thursday, so that is one big
piece taken out of what is already a pretty bad
defense here, So you know, I know we've been waiting
for Lamar to kind of go back to what he
was earlier in the season.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
It feels like Thanksgiving.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Can be a chance for him to put out a
fantasy feast for you.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, I am on the same page there, Marcus. As
we go to the running backs, That's why I will
take the RB one as Derrick Henry and he's going
up against the Bengals. I know there's major concerns about
those Ravens offense at this point, but the opponent gets familiar,
and it's very familiar for Derreck Henry, who's our rushing
score in four of the last five games against Cincinnati.
He's gone over twenty points in back to back games.
(07:24):
So your concerns there starting to go away for the
Ravens ground game, at least in terms of fantasy ring.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Now, I'm gonna go back to Treveon Henderson, who perhaps
didn't have his greatest game on Sunday, but still managed
to get seventy two percent of the team's touches in
Week twelve. Even with the Ramadri Stevenson back. He has
had five touchdowns in his last three games. Averaging over
five yards and carry since Week nine, and the matchup
is great. The Giants have allowed a lot of production
(07:52):
of the running backs now with Jamiir Gibbs over the weekend,
he allowed that the Giants have allowed the second most
fantasy points per game to running backs this season. So
I am going to be starting Traveon with the utmost
of confidence.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Well, if you're looking at wide receivers, why not Jackson
Smith and Jigba. I mean, he is the number one
scoring fantasy receiver in the game right now. I don't
even care so much about the matchup. I mean he's
been overall in fantasy scoring eight games and at least eight
receptions at least seventy nine receiving yards in every game,
set the Seahawks franchise record for receiving yards in a season.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
In eleven games. That's how good he has been this year.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
So I don't even care who's lining up against him.
I mean the Vikings have been pretty good against wide receivers.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Do not care. JSM is gonna go out and ball
like he has all year long.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I will take Marcus Jalen Wattle as the wide receiver one.
He's had five or more receptions and five of the
last seven games, and the Saints have given up eight
touchdowns to wideouts since Week six, including long scores to
David Sills and Darnell Mooney from Kirk Cousins in week twelve. Yes,
the darkness has arrived for the New Orleans Saints defense.
(09:01):
And I think Jayalen Waddle will be both little Silomon
and garfuncal is that's not crossby seals and hands I
yesterday I forgot it's Simon and garf okay, So darkness,
darkness will arrive. Crushed out of a playfake on first down,
a lot of time, deepball, left side picklets up in.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
The air high point at the twelve.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
How about you, Pickings a little high step away from
the tackle.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
How about you? But he is as good as it comes.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
When that balls in the air to go up and
high point it come down with it. He starts in
on the left side. Paul's a little underthrown, but he
just goes up and gets close over the top of
kick of Gsine and grabs.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
It forty three yards and he has his second career
one thousand yards season.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
All the great George Pickens's performance brings us a real omarage,
because seeing is not always believing. The only objective truth
is when in fantasy football. Markus Square is gonna tell
us what that truth is. And we'll go back to
the new Cowboys wide receiver. We're twelve weeks plus into
the George Pickens experience. It's been good, it was great.
Is it a mirage though, Mark, No.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
This is absolutely real.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
And before the season, George Pickens said that he and
Ceedee Lamb were like Mario and Luigi.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Now they'll just be like Mario and Mario at this point.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
I mean, I don't know if he's officially the new
wide receiver one there in Dallas, but at worst he
is the one a along with Cedee Lamb. Nearly identical
usage metrics to Lamb. Since Week six, the Cowboys are
very past heavy offense, about top ten and pass play
percentage and a pretty narrowly funneled target share. You go
back to week six, Pickens and Lamb accounting for about
fifty percent of the targets from Dak Prescott. We saw
(10:45):
glimpses of it in Pittsburgh. Now he's got a quarterback
and an offense that can really unlock his skill set.
Here so this is going to be a formidable duel.
I mean, we thought the Eagles with aj Brown and
DeVonta Smith might have had the best one to two punch.
I think now that might reside in Dallas with Ceedee
Lamb George Pickens.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, such a great performance. Can't wait to see how
they finish out the season. Also looking forward to the
end of the season. For cam Ward had a career
high in terms of fantasy production last week. Was that
real or a mirage?
Speaker 4 (11:12):
I think it's a little bit of a mirage, and
I know Rank likes him as the QB won this
weekend ters.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
The thing, I think.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Cam Ward has done a fabulous job with what he
has to work with there in Tennessee. I mean, I
think made the best of a bad circumstance a twenty
four season high end points with nearly twenty four fantasy
points last week. That came thanks to a season high
in rushing yards and scoring his first career rushing touchdown.
I think that is sort of the rub for me there.
The passing numbers have been okay, He's generally around between
(11:40):
two twenty five two fifty most weeks. Still has not
thrown multiple touchdown passes in a game and is not
running quite enough to make a consistent impact there. So look,
I think what we've seen with cam Ward and the Titans,
I think it's hard to put all the blame on
the quarterback. But at the same time, I'm just not
seeing enough to make me feel super confident about his
fantasy performance.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Let's go elsewhere in the division where the Jags were
watching Trevor Lawrence throw multiple picks. They needed plays in
the second half, so they go to Britain Strange. Marcus
Grant was that real or Row?
Speaker 4 (12:11):
Yeah, Stranger Things in't just a TV show on Netflix.
This was kind of a mirage here, a little bit
of some tricks of the eye. I think with Briton Strange,
I think what you do like is that the target
share has.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Been fairly consistent.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
Had five targets on Sunday, which is about where he's
been most weeks. The difference was the yardage bit was
quite a bit higher than what we're used to seeing.
The other part of this is Trevor Lawrence doesn't seem
to have just one guy that he locks in on.
He will spread the ball around. I would say he
throws to the guy that's open. That's not always the case.
But I think it's just hard to sort of count
(12:44):
on Briton Strange on a week to week basis, when
you know, some weeks it might be Parker Washington, Brian
Thomas Junior is coming back. There's just lots of places
to go with the football. So I don't know that
I can completely lean on Strange, all right.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
The guy they were playing against who set the NFL
record all time for single game complations, Koby Brissett was
throwing more balls to Michael Wilson. This is two weeks
in a row. Was that as real as Adam Ranks
love for Thanksgiving decoration?
Speaker 4 (13:08):
Eye? Well, I think you know who doesn't love vet
borne ucopia of brown and yellow that we have sitting
on this tape. I think I was real though with
Michael Wilson, And maybe this is me sort of patting
myself on the back because I felt like he had
deep sleeper vibes for the last couple of years and
it hadn't really panned out with Kyler Murray.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Here.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Part of why we have loved Jacoby Brissette is because
he really has unlocked a lot of parts of this
Arizona offense. Wilson's been an absolute alpha the last two weeks,
thirty three targets, twenty five catches, three hundred and three yards.
No other player has had three hundred receiving yards in
a two game span so far this season. On top
of it, the Cardinals are struggling to run the football.
They are throwing the ball at an incredibly high rate,
(13:49):
so targets of plenty of coming, I think, even when
Marvin Harrison Junior is back on the field.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
So we get the notes of authenticity regarding Michael Wilson,
and yeah, smell spicy nicely enough to go over to
Adam Rank and get the waiver wire hot sauce.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Yes delivering the spice on this Thanksgiving week. And want
to give a quick shout out to our guy Johnny
back when this segment actually aired on a Monday night
show that I think I got canceled again, but still
Johnny was working the steady camp back of the day.
You're just gonna have to take my word for it.
He's over there, he's watching, he's ready to go, he's
ready to dodge cards.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
And we start off with four flavor.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Profiles, and we all start with the mild but flavorful
and I can't believe that I have to tell you
people this. It's kind of like anybody who's going to Chicago,
should I try Portillo's and the Wiener Circle and all
that stuff. I'm like, yeah, sometimes the obvious.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Places you have to hit are first.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
Similarly, I haven't talked about Coleston Lovelin for the entirety
of the season. A lot of you outside of Hayden
winks I'll give him the credit for that, but outside
of that, all of you have doubted him, wanted to
call this twenty.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
One year old man a bust.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
But over the last couple of weeks he has three touchdowns.
I believe there is more in store. And it's one
of the things Ben Johnson talked about coming into the season,
that the Bears were going to be playing their best
football heading in to December. And you look at some
of the guys that Ben Johnson helped draft. We're talking
about Colston Lovelin, Luther Burden, the third Kyle Mnungui. Those
guys are starting to get bigger roles in the offense.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
So you want to make sure that you're.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Stocked up and ready to go all right, Let's get spicy.
Let's get a little bit spicy. Sorry, sorry, Vanessa, that
that came in a little hot. Let's go down to Houston.
Houston has done a really nice job. They really spiced
up the offense ever since Davis Mills has taken over
his quarterback and even when CJ. S Gerald returns, it
should still continue, which is why we like Jaden Higgins,
(15:40):
especially this week going up against the Indianapolis Colts. We've
seen this passing offense of the Houston Texans take strides.
They are one of the most pass happy teams in
the NFL right now. In Higgins has at least thirteen
Fantasy points and three out of his last five games,
he has three receiving touchdowns over those five and leads
the team at end zone target since Week three. So
(16:03):
again we're stocking up. You might not need to use
him this week, but realize there are gonna be some
key bye weeks in Week fourteen, which will.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Lead us to.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Ooh the three alarm.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Another guy that I've been talking about for quite some time,
Devin Neil. Now it looks like he might be able
to get his opportunity with the New Orleans Saints this
is why we're holding on to him. And again, you
might be looking at your roster right now. You might
be looking at the fact that nobody is on a
buy this week and say, I don't need this, but.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Look at week fourteen.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Week fourteen, we're gonna be down guys like Christian McCaffrey, McCaffrey,
ric O'Donnell Tube, Hubbard. There's gonna be some key buyes
in week fourteen, so maybe we get ahead of it.
It's like walking out. Don't go out shopping tomorrow night.
Don't pull up to Costco and think like, oh, everything's
gonna be stocked and ready to go.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
If you do not hit it.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Up tonight, there is a good chance he is gonna
be flying off the shelves. Devin Neil could get an opportunity,
and again, the New Orleans might be in a position
where they're looking ahead to next year. I don't want
to be the person who brings up old like bad news,
but they might not make the playoffs this season, so
they might start taking a look at guys at Devin Neil,
and he could have a chance in Week fourteen.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
He does have the Miami Dolphins this week, all.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Right, let's go el Diablo, elgel the oblo.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
This one hurts, This one hurts.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
We're gonna be talking about the leak Davis because as
I'm still holding onto my shares of jad On Blue,
that is one of the ones like you ever like
try to tell people to go to a restaurant like
this place is great, and then nobody likes it, and
then eventually they're like, oh, why are they closed on
a Thursday eight? They're closed for good. They're never They're
never opening. It's never gonna happen. I think that we're
(17:43):
close to the point where Jayden Blue might not happen
this season. I think I need to just let it go.
At some point, you're like, yeah, it's not good. People
are gonna celebrate Thanksgiving whether you want them to or not.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
It's fine.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
You gotta just understand that's gonna be it. But when
you look at the Lake Davis now, they still go
to Javonte Williams an absolute but over the last two games,
he's at least ten plus snaps and he's getting a
little bit more of an opportunity again a stash and play,
especially if you have Javonte Williams on your roster and
you are not backing them up with Malik Davis. That
(18:14):
is like showing up to Thanksgiving without stuffing. And why
is stuffing only a one time a year? Why only
one time of year? Why can't we enjoy stuffing for
the entirety of the year. What do they do at stovetop?
Do they just sit there like, hey, they're like November
November twenty ninth, They're like, our work is done.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Here, everybody. We can go on, see you back in September.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
But in any event, that is the Waiver Wire Hot
Sauce for Week thirteen.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Johnny thought that was a terrible one. Hold on, let
me get you one more, Johnny, you got it? Oh
we was there and faded at the end.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Anyways, Coming up next on NFL Fantasy Live, as we
get you ready for that Thanksgiving holiday, Yes, we'll have
an opportunity to hate watch both the Chiefs and the
Cowboys at the same time. We got the Lions. Are
we going hire a low with some of these superstars?
Find out next?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Welcome back to NFL Fantasy Live, folks, start your Thanksgiving
morning with Rich Eisen and company, including there's no favorites
on this show.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Cydia.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Yeah, watch Game.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Day more Smyler watching. They're going to be live from
the Packers and Lions and Chiefs and Cowboys games.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Plus I'm on Ross.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Saint brown sits down with Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson
in a special edition of Generations, The Sign for a
New Generation here of Higher or Lower a Thanksgiving editions.
We want you to get set for these games that
are coming up on Turkey Day. You've got your projections
that are in your NFL dot com or on the
fantasy app. We're going to tell you whether or not
(19:44):
the actual score will be higher or lower than the
projection you see on your screen. Starting rank with one
of your favorite quarterbacks in the league, Jordan Love. Higher
lower than fifteen point sixty eight.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
This was almost the perfect projection because I have the
perfect projection for Jerdan Love to go with fifteen point
point six seven seven, because Jordan Love. If there is
a quarterback who represents six to seven more than Jordan Love,
(20:15):
I've never met him, and thankfully, the Packers are paying
him billions of dollars over the next thirty years, so
we'll get.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
To see plenty of him.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
His fantasy production has not quite been there over the
last couple of weeks. Even last week it was a
lot of Manny Wilson. We had to go out there
and bail him out. The defense has been playing great,
and Jordan.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Love's just been eh.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
He's been six seven.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Somewhere right in that range.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
And that's what I expect this week against the Lions,
a Lions team that is.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Pretty good, all right.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
So if you're keeping track, that is one, one hundreds
of a point, but still lower on the projection for
rank for Jordan Love.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Let's go to one.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Patrick Mahomes on Thanksgiving against the Dallas Cowboys twenty two
point four points higher or lower Marcus Well.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Patrick Mahomes will be playing in Dallas this year, and
as Scott Staph once famously saying at a halftime show
in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
He will take you high there it is. You're gonna
get higher for.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Patrick Mahomes coming up this week, Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
We're going high.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
We're going higher for Patrick Mahomes. He's actually gone above
that number six times this season. In fact, eight different
times against the Cowboys a quarterback has had more points
than that. Plus potential for a lot of scoring, this
is projected to be one of the higher.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Scoring games of the season. The Chiefs not efficient.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Running the football, so a lot of it is going
to have to be on the arm of number fifteen.
I expect he's gonna put up a pretty good number if.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
You watch that Scott Stap Creed halftime. So the guy
flying in is always said Scott Stap He wasn't the
guy flying in with the force's arms wide open. Let's
go to Derrick Henry against the Cincinnati Bengals higher lower
ranked than seventeen point four frames.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
One of the things that you need from Derrick Henry
is he need him to get into the end zone.
And when he gets into the end zone, what is
the referee?
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Do he has his.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Arms on open?
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Heard, I'm gonna hire.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
With all open?
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Yeah, you know, I don't even know what my point
was now, But the think of it is he is
touchdown dependent. But the good news is he's had rushing
touchdowns in three consecutive games and then four of his
last five. Against the Cincinnati Bengals, He's had three rushing
touchdowns in his last two games. And of course, the
Cincinnati Bengals have allowed the most fantasy points per game
(22:30):
to running backs this season. I would anticipate Derrick Henry
having a huge game this.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Week as we put our creed and six seven references
behind us and go for here, we're spanning multiple generations.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Let's get back to this game.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Javonte Williams mark is higher, lower than seventeen point eight
fantasy for Wait.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
So I mean when I say that Javonte Williams is lower,
I can't say that it's going to be my sacrifice
for him to give up some opportunity. So, yeah, he's
gonna go lower. I'm but I'm gonna be the one
downer here in this segment here and say he's gonna
go lower.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Not significantly lower, but a little bit. Has kind of
been on a little bit of a.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Downhill slide lately, fewer than thirteen fantasy points at four
of his last six plus the Chiefs have not been
a very favorable matchup for running backs so far this season.
In fact, only two running backs this year I have
had more than seventeen point four fantasy points against Kansas City. Plus,
with the passing game just really hitting the way it
has with George Pickens and Cede Lamb, you're gonna see
(23:29):
more of that and maybe a little bit less of.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Javonte this week.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
All right, we've had certainly more of one Saint Brown
brother in the receiving game.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
And how many how many Saint Brand brothers. There's two,
you said, how many we've had more than one one?
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Oh on ways, well, we prefer equadimious on the podcast,
but on the game, hire lower than nineteen point.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
I feel gray, I feel helpless. He's gonna go higher
in this one. It's gonna be a tough matchup going
up against the Green Bay Packers. They have been pretty tough. However,
the one thing that you really love about aman Ross
Saint Brown maybe the only thing.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Ten targets, ten plus targets in.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Five of the last six games, nine receiving touchdowns this season.
That is the second most in the NFL, and his
red zone target share is over forty percent, which again
is one of the best in of the league. So
the opportunity is there for aman Ross Saint Brown, an opportunity.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
For a bounce back game for Jamar Chase because he
didn't play, and he also apologized everybody not Drealen Ramsey apologize.
Marcus High lower than seventeen point non fantasy points against
the Raven.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Well, first off, I'd like this to put some respect
on Osiris Saint Brown's name. He's sort of the Cooper
Manning of the Saint Brown family there, if you will.
But I'm gonna say for Jamar Chase, I'm gonna go
higher and a little bit like what I said about
Jackson Smith and Jigba earlier in the show, I don't
really care who he's playing. It's Jamar Chase. I only
care that he's on the field and available to get targets.
(24:59):
I didn't really care what there's Joe Flacco or Joe
Burrow at quarterback. They are going to throw the ball
in the direction of number one, especially because it looks
like t Higgins probably not going to play this week
as he's in the confession protocol. Chase has been over
this number six times this year. Five different wideouts have
beat that number against the Baltimore Ravens. So yeah, I'm
going higher on Jamar Chase.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yes, we have multiple highers here or on higher or
lower looking forward to those Thanksgiving games. But after Thanksgiving
and you recover and you go out and you get
a chair and you sit it in front of a
big box store and get ready to pay for some
prices that are actually not necessarily discover as much as
they appear to be. We've got a Black Friday matinee
game Bears Eagles on Prime and you can catch game
(25:40):
day kickoff on NFL Network starting at one o'clock Eastern.
That game the focal point of our Bold Predictions presented
by Verizon Rank. Yes, the Bears are playing all black Friday.
Do you have bold prediction for the people presented?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I'm doing a show at three o'clock on Friday, too,
so that could.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Either go really good or really bad. But I'm gonna go.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Colston Loveland scores a touchdown this week, and you're like,
that's not that bold, because you should take the humble
Bragg because you called it last week. However, I'm gonna
take it a step further. Not only does Colston Lovelin
score a touchdown this week, the pass is going to
be thrown to them, my fellow lefty, Cole Comet.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
That's right. If you were sitting there within the sound.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Of my voice, I'm talking to you, Ben Johnson, you
know that you want to dial this up. We've seen
Cole Comet throw passes this season. We've seen Colson Lovelin
catch touchdown passes this season, less merge them both together.
If you saw this last week, Ben Johnson really did
a great job of just exposing that Steelers defensive coordinator
Tarol Austin, especially near the goal line with the shotgun
(26:44):
run from kylemn On guy. But I think they're just
gonna get They're gonna have to get a little bit
more creative this week against the Philadelphia Eagles. I expect
something special near the goal line, which is why I'm
saying Cole Comet throws a touchdown pass the Colson Loveland.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Well, I'm gonna stay with you the Bears in the
past game a little bit, and I'm gonna say that
DeAndre Swift is going to have more receiving yards than
AJ Brown. It's a thing that actually has already happened
four times this year. To go back on the week
to week you know, side by side logs of these
two players. Only once this season has AJ Brown had
consecutive games with fifty or more receiving yards. He had
(27:18):
over one hundred last week. Plus the way the way
things are going to Philadelphia, you know, we can't have
too much happiness, right I mean, they already blew a lead,
but AJ Brown had a good game.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
So this week maybe the.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Eagles play a little bit better. But there's a little
bit less AJ Brown involved. Just you can't have all
of the.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Things at once. You can't get your chocolate and your
peanut butter. If you're an Eagles fan right now, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
A rough situation for a team other than against within
one game of having in the first round, by I
think that those Philadelphia Eagles will have Jalen Hurts throw
not just a touchdown pass, but the touchdown pass is
going to be fifty yards or longer. The Bears defense
the best in the league at forcing turnovers. Dennis Allen
has these guys bending and then all stimately breaking your
(28:00):
heart if you are the opposition. I think they do
that in this game. They're able to get the ball away,
but the Eagles will score. There's gonna be a lot
of points, I believe for us to watch some football
on Black Friday, and we are looking forward to this game.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
Well as we celebrate the fourth annual John Madden Thanksgiving celebration,
it is time for my five Notre Duccans here. Instead,
it's just five guys maybe you want to avoid on
Thanksgiving if you don't want fantasy indigestion.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
We'll start at number five in Dallas with Jake.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Ferguson, who got off to a hot start, but it's
kind of slowed down recently, fifty or fewer receiving yards
in seven of his last eight games. His target share
has fallen. It was about twenty five percent the first
five weeks of the season, down to just fifteen percent
from weeks six through twelve. Plus, the Chiefs have been
a bottom ten matchup for tight ends. Only three tight
ends have had double digit Fantasy.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Points against the Chiefs defense.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
At number four, well, go to the other side of
that game and Kareem Hunt.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Efficiency hasn't really been his strong suit this year.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Yeah, he had one hundred and four rushing yards last
week on thirty carries. The Cowboy run defense we had
been picking on it earlier in the year, but since
adding Quinn Williams, it really has improved. They've allowed a
combined ninety rushing yards in the last two weeks, including
a holding down Saquon Barkley and their comeback win.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Over the Eagles in week twelve.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
At number three, or looking at the QB Bengals Bengals QBS.
However you want to say it, Joe Flacco's magic.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Seems to have run out.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
It does look like Joe Burrow is going to get
the start on Thursday night, and even that I would
approach with some caution.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
You've lived this.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Long without Burrow.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
What's one more week?
Speaker 4 (29:39):
I want to see him and what he looks like
before I put him in a lineup. The Ravens defense
has gotten better, just three touchdown passes six interceptions before
are since Week six. Burrow's gonna get the mini buy
before he goes to Buffalo, So maybe just hold off
one more time before you throw him back.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
In your lineup.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
At number two, it's David Montgomery, who has almost entirely
disap from the Lions offense seven games this season, with
forty or fewer rushing yards fewer than ten touches in
back to back games. Now he's going against the Packers,
who were one of the worst matchups for running backs
this season. They also held Montgomery to just eight point
three points way back in Week one, and that gets
(30:17):
us to number one player to avoid on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
It's Jared Goff.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
Goff back to back games is fewer than eighteen fantasy points.
We thought being back home at Ford Field last week
against the Giants would be something to help him out.
It really wasn't. He's seeing more pressure recently. Was able
to sort of overcome it against Big Blue, but not
against the Eagles the week before. The Packers getting QB
pressure at an above average rate. They held Golf to
ten fantasy points in Week one, and historically he struggled
(30:44):
against Green Bay fewer than twelve fantasy points in four
of his last six games against the Packers. So there
you have it, my five players to avoid on Thanksgiving.
So THEO thing is though Jared Goff, he's a California guy,
he's kind of chill. Maybe that'll help you Patrick well.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
And that's the thing that I try to aspire to, Marcus,
because you know, healthcare is expensive and Thanksgiving this coming,
I want to avoid indigestion. My therapist is in Orange County,
and I actually got to look at his license, and
just a license to chill. So I'm starting to wonder
about the authenticity there. But I'm really wondering about my
actual fantasy football players who hate me and consistently want
(31:19):
me to lose, and I'm looking directly at you, Lamar Jackson,
because you're playing against the Jets and you only get
just over seven Fantasy points. I don't want to hear
about injuries because I've been following a lot of healthcare
influencers that tell me about the carnivore diet and how
it's supposed to make me a better person, and you
should try that, try to.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Score fantasy points.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
So I'm logging on I'm going to lj Era and
saying you're an lj Era right now, and I'm tweeting
at you, Lamar, because you hate me and don't want
me on the dog.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
First of all, we're not tweeting and any of these guys,
we're not doing that. We're not worried about his diet. Listen, man,
we all start getting a little older, and you know
there are some things you can no longer do that
you used to do back in the day. That dawn
patrol comes way earlier, if you know what I'm saying.
(32:14):
But at the same time, man, there's gonna be times
that you can reach down deep and realize that young
man still exists inside you when the conditions are just
absolutely perfect, and this week, Lamar Jackson's going to be
going up against the Cincinnati Bengals, not only this week,
(32:34):
then he's got the Steelers, then.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
He's got the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
This guy's been gearing up for the stretch run.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
You gotta pick your spots.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Gotta sometimes let those little young pups go in there
drop it in front of you, knowing that when it's
your time, you gotta go and dial it in.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
And bring it.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
So when it comes to Lamar, put away the phone
and just cheap bright I should you know why.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
I expect big performances every single week. And yeah, the
waters were will be nice and glass like against the
Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Very flat.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Stephan Davis played the Bengals, Yeah, Stefan Dason, This high
flying Patriots offense played the Cincinnati Bengals, who've given up
points everywhere.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Everywhere.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
It's a running backs, quarterbacks, wide receivers. Why is it
four points?
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Stefan?
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Why are you not focused on getting points from me?
You're you're all over the place, worry about other stuff.
Being an international megastar getting all kinds of attention. I
need fantasy points. I don't need attention. I don't need
any of that stuff. So Stefan Diggs, here's what you do.
You go out there.
Speaker 5 (33:41):
Yeah, that's rough, man, I know it's sometimes man, He's
just an old head that's caught a pace himself. He's
out there riding his longboard, no geek strap or anything
like that. And some of the groms like Mac Collins
are just dropping in and doing whatever while Steffan just
paddled into shore, just was kicking it over at Cassidy's,
(34:04):
throwing down a burger while everybody else was going out
there and eating. But you know what, man, look, dude
is average close to thirteen Fantasy points in his last
six games. He's averaging over nine yards per reception. So
that guy just going down making that bottom turn and
just gliding, and you know what, every once in a
(34:25):
while it's gonna be grim.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
You know. You're just like, yeah, dude, paddled into shore.
We just lost him on that one.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
But overall, this guy has been a solid, solid performer
for you. He's as reliable as the Santa and the
winds bringing you a little bit of warmth.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
So when it comes to.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
My guys, steff On Digs, you gotta chip bruh.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Thank you. So much.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
You know. I'm sorry to Stefan Diggs. I understand you're
not always going to go off forgets the Cincinnati Bengals.
Although a lot of people have I spent more from
Nico College. Though Nico Collins is big running away from
the Buffalo Bills. I go back to that game last
week last year, and he's running away from the Bill
so much that he actually hurts himself. But he's still
scored in that game eight and a half fantasy points.
(35:10):
I'm watching the defense to all this celebrating all this
all we won the game. You didn't want me the game.
They go, what about me?
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Why are you focus on me?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Yeah, yeah, dude, you know what, Like, I fully get it, man,
I see where.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
You're coming from.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
It's like, uh, all these guys were sitting out there
pumping up like brook Street Town and Laguna, and every
time I went there, dude, it was flat as Kansas,
and I'm like, what is this place? The expectations did
not meet the results. But one thing, and yeah, like
with Niko man one Tunny in his last five games,
(35:49):
like I sort of see where you're coming from. But
the dude still has fourteen red zone targets this season.
He's still being relied upon, and his other dudes are
stepping up.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
You know when CJ.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Stroud, even though he's in Inlander, I don't know if
he was out there. He grew up where the old
pipeline was up in upland that guy is going to
come in and he's gonna be fine. So Nico Collins
is going to get it dialed in this week, and
I just got to tell.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
You dial it back a notch and cheer Brah. I
should you know Davis Mills is throwing the ball, Nico?
I'm sorry. Yeah, Stefan, I'm sorry, Lamar, I'm sorry. Why
Why would I tweet it players when I'm the lad
I'd never do that. Man, never tweet angry.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
I'm the one that built that lineup.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
We're going to take a break and when we come
back here on NFL Fantasy Lot, Trevor Lawrence tossed three
picks last Sunday in Arizona. Can you really trust the
Jacks starter to be your pick? If you're in need
of a backup quarterback in Week thirteen? Stick around to
find out.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
We're back here on NFL Fantasy A lot of it
is time to crown the cardio King of the week,
and congratulations to Jamison Williams, the forgotten man. In a
game that saw over one thousand yards of offense, he
ran one five hundred and eleven total yards around the field,
got only three targets, caught none of them. It's fifteen
(37:13):
hundred yards of work.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
For no fantasy points. But congratulations Jamo. At the very
least you got your cardio in.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
So Jamison Williams are Cardio King of the Week. Let's
get some backup options presented by Progressive Insurance. Because you
got some quarterbacks on a buy.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Who's your backup at quarterback? Run?
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Well, I've talked about cam Ward already in the show today.
Why don't go to the other side of the football
and go Trevor Lawrence, who's had some pretty great games
against the Titans in the past. He's ad at least
thirty two fantasy points in two of his last four
against Tennessee. He's had five rushing touchdowns since Week five,
and Tennessee has allowed the six most fantasy points to
quarterbacks over the last four weeks. And what I believe
(37:54):
will be a shootout, I like both Trevor Lawrence and
cam Ward.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
Well, if you're looking at a running back, about Ty
Johnson with the Buffalo Bills. And yes, James Cook is
still very much the RB one there in Buffalo. But
we started to see Johnson get some more opportunities and
kind of be a guy who creates some big plays
in a passing game that's.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Looking for help.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
They're looking for other options there. We've seen an increased
snapshore since Week six. He's had eight or more Fantasy
points in three of his last four games, several games
in a row with multiple receptions. And it's a chance
that every time he gets the ball in his hands
looks explosive, a chance to take the ball to the house.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
So just something look deeper, leagues, you need a flex.
Ty Johnson is out there for you.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I like John Metsi this week going up against the
Atlanta Falcons. He has scored at least thirteen fantasy points
in back to back games, forty five receiving yards and
a touchdown in each of those contests, and the Falcons
have allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to
wide receivers in the last over the last four weeks.
I should say so, John METSI is starting to ascend
for the New York Jets.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Yeah, just got getting better at wide receiver. Where the
Buffalo Bills are looking to put wide receivers on the field.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
We think just why.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
I think Dawson Knox is a great option backup wise
at tight end four targets in Week twelve, that was
actually the second most on the team. He's We've seen
his routes go up in four straight games, and the
Pittsburgh Steelers have really struggled with tight ends. They've allowed
seven touchdown receptions to tight ends. That's the most in
the NFL, excuse me, the second most in the NFL
(39:21):
this season. So those are your backup options this week.

(39:41):
NFL Fantasy Live, we went to various social media locations
to find out your actual tales of victory and the
first one comes up from Bucky, who picked up the
Packers defense started them. Also, sixty points from Gibbs helped
out a little bit. They got some different scoring, but
it s works out. Sixty great jobs. Yeah, talk about
this earlier in the show.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
This is more than one occasion this year that he's
picked nailed the streaming defense of the week.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
So great job. Congratulations there, this one coming from Willie
picked up DK Sunday morning and subbed him in for
Rashaan White. That's a great substitution, Marcus.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
Yeah, especially if you get the points for the kickoff
return that he had, because you know, not every league
gives you the individual points, so if you're able to
get that, kudos to you.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Yeah. And also chase those league settings at the start
of the year, folks, because it's probably what happens. Danillo
got Manny Wilson in six leagues one, six league six
or six, right, you.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Know, can I call from the humble brag on that now,
I'm joking, I'm joking.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Great job by you.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Way to be uh, way to be thinking ahead and
having that ready to go and making the move to
go out and do it.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Yeah, making the move six times, which is also.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
Yeah, I can see people being like I'll do them
in three out of the other.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
Don't heeade one by point three to five thanks to
the last low Bryce did to Rico O'Donnell. Rico won
it for against Bryce.
Speaker 4 (40:56):
You can't believe he won, Mark hey Man, magic can
happen on Monday. Any plus garbage points still counts all
of those cliches.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
Thanks for tuning in to the Fantasy Live edition of
the Fantasy Football Podcast. Marcus Florio and l Q will
be back in your feed tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Wo
