Speaker 1 (00:01):
There are many times over the years that Aaron Rodgers
has looked like he could beat the Bears with one
hand tied behind his back. This Sunday, the Steelers quarterback
might be trying.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
To do just that.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
We'll tell you the latest Son Rogers fractured rist and
what it could mean for Pittsburgh's postseason hopes. If the
playoffs began today, the Chiefs would be out. Seriously, there
are still seven more weeks for them to turn the tables.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
All Pro center Creed Humphrey.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Joins the show tonight talk about how Kansas City can
get back to its winning waves. Are the Rams the
best team in the NFL? Are the Bears really as
good as their record? And are the Broncos truly the
best in the AFC West. Jeffrey Chidia will join us
tonight to break down those and other of the biggest
statements made in a.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Wild Week eleven.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Welcome Inside with the Insiders, presented by Progressive Insurance alongside
Judy Matista and Mike Garafalo. I am Tom Pelisero. We
will get more entarily to the Cowboys Monday night mashing
of the Raiders, but first we got to talk about
a little bit of drama surrounding.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
A certain forty one year old quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Aaron Rodgers is pushing to play on Sunday against the Bears.
A fracture at his left wrist that kept him out
in the second half of last week's game against the Bengals.
Rodgers underwent tests on Monday that showed he did not
need surgery. Still no definitive word yet on his status.
The Mike Tomlin is giving his quarterback a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Aaron's got a fracture in his wrist. It does not
require surgery. Really is just about bracing it and securing
it for his comfort and safety, and then it's about
how functional he is. Friday's probably a big day in
terms of some of those things.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Certainly these stats of Aaron Rodgers will have a big
role in deciding the Steelers playoff hope. So though, according
to next Gen Status, despite a one game lead in
the division, there twenty six percent chance to actually win
the AFC North the Ravens. Meanwhile at seventy four percent,
the Bengals and Browns hanging on by a thread. Mike,

(02:09):
you're a big win probability guy. Tell me what you
make of the state of the AFC North and specifically
the reality now that the quarterback of the team on
top may not be one hundred percent for a while.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Here, Yeah, looking that way, and you look at the
next couple of games here, three straight at home for Baltimore,
two out of the three on the road for Pittsburgh,
tougher games. So you look at it and say, in
three weeks, yeah, it might make sense as to why
we have these numbers from next gen stats for the
probability right now for Aaron Rodgers, He's got to work

(02:43):
his way through the week. And see, you heard what
Mike Tomlins says, how functional he is. That means can
he take a step, can he hand the ball off?
I mean we saw Josh Allen do the backwards handoff
when he had a hand slash wrist injury last year,
so you could some how perhaps do that. Look, they
also have Mason Rudolph, and they believe in Mason Rudolph

(03:04):
more than any other team in the NFL. And he
went twelve for sixteen in relief the other day. So
you know, you kind of sit there and go, it's
going to be a pass fail type thing.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Judy, It's not like, well, Rodgers is yeah, he can.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Maybe that stashing because of Mason Rope. No, it's going
to be a yes or no based on how he
does throughout this week. But you want him out there.
You need him out there as long as he can
function well.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Certainly he's going to push to play. They need him
out there, not just for right now in this next game,
but as you point it out, I mean he's not
going to be one hundred percent for several weeks at least.
You need him out there because the offense hasn't gotten
into a rhythm yet this season. It's been very erratic.
He's been erratic. Some games look great, some games do
not look great at all. And as you're coming down

(03:52):
the final stretch, it's clearly going to be a dog
fight with the Ravens the rest of the way. The
Steelers have a harder schedule coming down the stretch. You
need to try every opportunity to get that offense going
to get it in a rhythm. The defense has stepped
up in the last few weeks and sort of bailed
them out two of the touchdowns last week, and the
win came at the hands of the defense. But again,

(04:15):
it might behoove them to try to get Aaron Rodgers
out there. He's going to want to get out there too.
Get him out there and try to get the offense going.
You're going to need to score points. Look at who
they have ahead of them on their schedule. They are
going to need to score a lot of points if
they're going to stay in this with the Ravens coming
on strong here.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Mike tom And also said Aaron Rodgers wanted to return
to that game on Sunday despite fracturing his risk and
that speaks to the dynamics here. Rogers wants to go,
but the doctors need to clear him. It's not just
the functionality, but also the medical side of this, whether
they feel like they can come up with a way
to stabilize it and not risk something worse. So Rodgers
didn't finish that game. Neither did Jalen Ramsey on Sunday.

(04:56):
He was injected for the officials called it a punch.
We'll call it a face mask grab. It a little
bit of a slap after as video later showed Jamar
Chase had spit on Jalen Ramsey. Jamar Chase in turn
suspended one game by the NFL. He had his appeal
of that suspension today. We could get word even within

(05:17):
the next hour on this show on the fate of
the Chase appeal. If it fails, then Chase would miss
a huge game on Sunday against the Patriots, also lose
out on a game check and roster bonus totally over
five hundred thousand dollars Mike.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Meanwhile, CJ.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Stroud ruled out of the game on Thursday night against
the Buffalo Bills, did return to doing some work during practice.
That's a great sign right there. It's the fact that
he is progressing. It's been a couple of weeks now
since he took this hit and he's been out.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Just didn't have enough time.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Sound like maybe if it was a Sunday game could
have been a different story. But the hope is that
he's back for next week's game against the colt So
they'll have ten days after this Thursday game to make
that happen.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
Joe Burrow continues to make progress and his return from
turf toe. Coach Zach Taylor said Burrow could participate in
eleven on eleven drills in practice this week. Last week,
he was in on seven on sevens and came out
of that feeling pretty good, That's what Taylor said. Certainly
Burrow is pushing to get back. It sounds like he'd
like to get back around the Thanksgiving game against the Ravens.

(06:18):
But with the team at four at three and seven sorry,
and fading from the playoff picture, you do wonder if
that might change the timeline in the Bengals eyes.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Tom Another big injury will be watching throughout the course
this week. Packers running back Josh Jacobs did not finish
their game against the Giants after Jim and his knee.
I was told into the turf. It was really painful,
but he underwent tests. The knee is structurally sound. Matt
Lafleur described it as a knee contusion. He's day to
day at this point, still pretty sore, but not ruled

(06:49):
out just yet for Sunday's game against the Vikings. WEEG
eleven wrapped up last night with the Cowboys playing for
the first time since the tragic death of their teammate,
their brother, Marshawn neland it was an emotional night for
many people, including quarterback and Dak Prescott. The Cowboys coming
off with consecutive losses before there bye week, but they

(07:10):
got rolling early in this one. Let's go to the
second quarter. Cowboys down six to three. That's Dak the
CD lamb. This is his second touchdown of the season.
Wide open. Cowboys take the ten too six lead, insuing
Raiders drive. They got second and ten from the Cowboys
forty seven. Keep your eye on Quinn Williams his first
game with the star on his helmet.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
You know, Jerry Jones loved this.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
You know it in part because we shaw Jerry looking
there like a kid in a candy store. Cowboys get
the ball back, they go right down the field. Dak
Jake Ferguson five yard touchdown. This is kind of how
it went from there. Raiders with the ball back. First
and ten from the Cowboys, thirty one. Gino looking for
brock Powers. It's tip. It's picked up by Marquise Bell,

(07:55):
who returns at twenty four yards to the thirty one
yard line. Gino's thirteenth interception this season, tied with Tua.
Talk about loa for the most in the NFL. Cowboys
take over, go right down the field again, Deck Prescott,
George Pickens who spins. The Raiders could not tackle George Pickens,
forget covering them. They couldn't get them on the ground.

(08:17):
Cowboys Roll thirty three sixteen. That two game losing streak
is over, and Brian Schottenheimer certainly emotional after the win
before we.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Do all the celebration stuff.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
So proud of you guys, man Amen, tough couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Let's welcome in our Brian Baldinger and Mark Ross Baldy,
he watched that game last night and surly there's so
much that goes into it in terms of the Cowboys
coming off of the couple of weeks they had been
through and all the steps they took to as s
bridesheine Iimer said, not move on, but move forward on
the field. What did you see, if anything, that makes

(09:06):
you encourage about the Cowboys hopes here of trying to
get back into this playoff.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Chase, Well, a couple of things. Tom One.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
They're really good at beating up on bad teams, so
they take They took care of business last night. But
you know it's a really a brand new look defense.
I mean not just Quinn, but Logan Wilson, Malie Hooker
back since first time back since September. You're looking at
Kenny Clark now playing with Jenevian Clowney, the rookie Donovan
Ezeraku looks like a really good player. But I mean, honestly,

(09:34):
Quinn it up front. I mean, you give him a
one on one. He's in a different uniform, but he
did this for a long time with the New York Jets.
Like he can ruin the pocket that you're trying.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
To set to throw the football.

Speaker 8 (09:45):
He did that a bunch last night. But you know,
to see Demarvin overshown back in the lineup right now, Like, look,
they've got some tough opponents coming up. It's a new
look defense, but this is a better defense than what
they played in the first half of the season because
of the talent level, because of the additions, guys coming
back from injuries and guys that came via trade. Like

(10:07):
to have a chance here against some really good opponents,
to at least play better defense than what we have
seen in the first half of the season.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Weald the great breakdown there.

Speaker 9 (10:15):
My biggest takeaway though, as a front office former front
office guy and personnel, is like, how in the world
is two of your best players get suspended at this
point in the season for the first drive of the game.
That it was just inexcusable to have CD Lamb and
George Pickens.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
We know George.

Speaker 9 (10:32):
Pickens has had a history, but CD's supposed to be
the guy. Hey, George, I'm bringing you up to my
level of doing things the right way, you know, is
George dragging CD down, and then Pickens goes and gets
the unsportsmanlike penalty for jumping on the goalpost that someone
just did yesterday.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
He didn't learn his lesson.

Speaker 9 (10:47):
So if the Cowboys really want to be serious about
beating those better teams that you talked about, Baldy, and
that's Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Detroit at Detroit coming up,
then they've got to get serious about the preparation and
doing things the right way and not just beating up
on a bad Las Vegas Raiders team. Much like other
offensive go get right against the Dallas defense, you go

(11:09):
play the Raiders, You get right with anything you need.
So moving forward, Hey, guys, show up on time, whatever
it may be, so you go try to beat those
better teams.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Tom As Raiders coach Pete Carroll said today, I don't
know what George Pickens did to not be out there
at the start of the game. We're a lot better
when he wasn't out there. Mark Baldy sticker around a
lot more from you guys. As this show rolls on.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs getting ready to face Daniel
Jones and the Colts this upcoming weekend. We know how
important this game is for the Chiefs after that lost
to the Broncos.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
We know how important it is for the.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Colts to keep hanging in there as one of the
top seeds in the AFC as we come down the stretch.
Not just about making the playoffs, it's about playoff positioning.
So a huge game, which is why we bring in
the left handed snapper for the Kansas City Chiefs, the
guy that gets Patrick Mahomes the football every single play.
It is great Humphrey joining us on the inside. Is
we appreciate your time. I just said, you know the

(12:03):
magnitude of this game. We know how many big games
the Chiefs have played in recent years, so we get
that part of it. But we know that you guys
after that game said, hey, look we met it when
the division meant a bit, but we're still in this
make the playoffs and we can get moving.

Speaker 10 (12:17):
Yeah, definitely. You know people are. You know, we're just
ready to get back to work right now. So it's
a good thing. Spirits are high. Everybody's ready to roll.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
How do you assess where the team is?

Speaker 6 (12:26):
Because you're playing better in a whole lot of ways
since over last season, but the record doesn't indicate that
right now.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
So where is this team right now?

Speaker 11 (12:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (12:36):
You know, I think right now the team's as good
as we want it to be. You know, it's just
about executing, executing in critical situations and being consistent with it.
And you know, there's a ton of talent in.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
The building and everybody you know, loves ball.

Speaker 10 (12:52):
Everybody loves showing up to work, and so proces's just
being consistent.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
How much this knowing?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
You know, the first of all the quarterback that you
have a big part of it. But how much is
knowing that you guys have been successful. You guys have
even done in recent years what you hadn't done before
there hadn't been asked to do, which is going the
road in the playoffs and win. How much is having
all that success and experience help you right now to go?

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Everybody just chill.

Speaker 12 (13:14):
Out a little bit.

Speaker 10 (13:15):
Yeah, you know, I think it helps a ton you know,
there's been a lot of guys in this building who
have won a lot of ball and you know, have
one big game. So for us, it's just you know,
keeping our boys showing up. You know, don't look back
in the past, don't look to the future. Just be
where your feet are. Take it one day at a time,
one meeting at a time, one game at a time.

Speaker 6 (13:37):
You know, when Andy talked to reporters after the game,
he basically said that, like, no panic, we know what
we need to fix. There's plenty of time. What's been
the message from Andy to you guys though.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, same message.

Speaker 10 (13:48):
Just making sure you're showing up to work every single day,
looking to become a better player, looking become a better
teammate and a better team. And you know, there's, like
I said, so much talent in that building. It's a
really fun team to be a part of. So for us,
it's just making sure we go out and execute.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
I want to stick with the coaching staff because Matt Naggie,
your offensive coordinator, is not like it's some young guy
I have to introduce you to.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
He's been at this for a while and.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
He was a head coach in the league before but
he is considered one of the top head coaching candidates
for this cycle coming up. You've got a top ten
offense right now, give me your report card right now
on where Matt Naggie is in his career and what
he does as an offensive coordinator that makes you, guys run.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (14:30):
No, Coach Nags is awesome, man. He's an awesome guy
to be around. Every single day. You know, he shows
up with great energy. You know, shows up ready to work.
He puts in so much work, so much time, and
you know, making sure we're in the best positions possible.
So you know, I love Coachingags and he's an awesome coach, awesome,
awesome person to be around too.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Let's talk about the game against the Colts because I
think for a lot of us it feels like they've
a little bit come.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Out of nowhere.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
They've they're battling for the number one seed right now.
When you look at them, what do you see from
the Colts that they're doing this year?

Speaker 10 (15:04):
Yeah, they're a talented team. You know, they got a
ton of talent. You know, especially on a defense, they're
really talented. Up front, they got a ton of talent
and they're playing really good ball playing a really good
team ball too, So they presented a good challenge for us,
and we're excited to get to work and you know,
work through it this week and the Sunday Creed.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
When you're handling dudes like you're gonna have to handle
against the cults here, some guys are going to m
M A for these things.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
You've got a wrestling background.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
How much does that help you with, like I said,
handling other big dudes and moving them to places that
they don't want to go.

Speaker 10 (15:41):
Yeah, no, I mean I think the wrestling background helps
a ton. And you know, it just teaches you, you
know so much about leverage, understanding, you know, how to
how to move those people, how to you know, get
them off balance to where you can create whole things
like that.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
So I think it's a huge help.

Speaker 10 (15:56):
And then also it's just a huge help and the
mental toughness as that, you know, wrestling is a tough sport.
You're cutting weight all the time, trying to make waight
multiple times a week and also being asked for form
of your best and it's a it's a one on
one thing. So uh, you know, I think it's a
huge help and it's It's helped me so much throughout
my football career.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
You're a perpetual All Pro.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
You're regarded as one of the best, if not the
best centers in the NFL. How much pride do you
take in doing that year in and year out and
staying at that level.

Speaker 10 (16:27):
Yeah, you know, I take a ton of pride in it,
and I take pride in it because, you know, I
want to I want to help my team in any
way I can. You know, I want to make sure
that I'm you know, the best teammate, best player, making
sure I'm on top of it every single week to
do it for the guys next to me.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
So it's a fun group.

Speaker 10 (16:44):
It's a it's a really fun offense to be in,
and we just have a lot of fun and it's
fun getting to go out there every Sunday with them.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
All right, Chreed, that's a great hat you got there.
It's an awesome quarters it you got going on. It's
not just a fashion statement. Tell us what you're doing
with Dairy Queen.

Speaker 10 (16:58):
Yeah, No, it's been awesome. We you know, we're partnering
with Dairy Queen right now. We did a shoot with them,
meeting a couple of the off with the line guys.
So we're having a ton of fun with it. You know,
it's a it's a matchmate and having big guys eating food,
eating blizzards and coumbing up with dances things like that.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
That's been a blast.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
The sauce and tossed chicken strips are maybe with one
hundred percent all white meat chicken tenderlines served with fries
and Texas toast, available at participating US Dairy Queen Low locations.
I mean, you talked about cutting weight earlier. If you
don't have to cut weight, go get yourself some one
hundred percent all white meat chicken tenderlines served with fries
and Texas toast, again available at participating US Dairy Queen locations.

(17:37):
I'll tell you what, have yourself some after have yourself
some Dairy Queen after the game on Sunday, win or lose,
But we wish you the best and we always appreciate
your time here on the Insaturays.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Great, yeah, I appreciate it. Thank y'all.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
From chicken strips, fries and Texas toast to a guy
with like three percent body fat, our Jeffrey Chadia going
to join us next to talk about his six loudest
statements from Week eleven.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Mark Ross along for the ride as well. That's next
on The Insiders.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
New Today.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is pushing to play Sunday against
the Bears despite a fracture in his left wrist that
kept him out of the second half last week. Rogers
underwent test Monday that showed he does not need surgery.
Mike Tomlin said, really, it's just about bracing it and
securing it for his comfort and safety, and that's about
how functional he is. No practice for Rogers on Wednesday,

(18:25):
but he could be back on the field to test
it out later in the week. Texans quarterback CD Stroud
was back on the practice field today for the first
time since suffering a concussion. That is a sign of progress,
just not for this week. Coach Tamiko Ryans ruling out
Stroud for Thursday night game against Buffalo. Davis Mills will
get his third straight start instead. Time Now for good

(18:49):
coverage presented by Progressive Insurance. The Rams defense had some
pretty good coverage last week, intercepting Sam Darnold four times
in their week eleven win over the Seahawks. It is
just the second time in the last twelve seasons that
the Rams had four or more interceptions in a game.
Welcome Back to the Insiders, presented by Progressive Insurance Tom Pelaicero,

(19:12):
joined by Jeffrey Chidia and rejoined by Mark Ross, Jeffrey
Navel dot Com Slash first three.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
That's where you break it.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Down coming off every week of the NFL season. Let's
talk about some of the biggest statements that were made
in Week eleven.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
What do you got?

Speaker 13 (19:27):
The French one to me was made by the Los
Angeles Rams, Tom, and that's there, the best team in
the NFL right now.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
And I know that Philadelphia had a good week.

Speaker 13 (19:34):
I know there's some other teams you want to throw
in there, but I look at the Rams, what they're
doing offensively with the way Matthew Stafford's throwing the football,
twenty seven touchdowns, two picks, that run game. You see
what Kien Williams can do here, DeVonta Adams pooping the
cool in a defense that has a great young front
seven and a secondary that just turned over Sam Donald
four times. I have to look at this team with

(19:55):
a different lens now, because you go beat Seattle, who
have a ton of respect for the way they beat them.
With that defense playing the way they did, this team
Mark can beat you any way you want to get beat.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
They're the best of in the NFL right now.

Speaker 9 (20:07):
Possibly show Jeffrey, But you just mentioned those Philadelphia Eagles
and the way that defense is playing. That's the biggest
statement to me. They could just go flat out and
win the Super Bowl on their own. We don't need
the offense. And it reminds me of our two Super
Bowl runs with the Giants, where our defense is absolutely
dominated throughout the playoffs, and then on the offensive side
of the ball.

Speaker 5 (20:25):
Of course, Eli made time.

Speaker 9 (20:27):
We plays Plexico Burris, the keep Nicks, Victor Kruz, a
run game.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
We got enough there.

Speaker 9 (20:31):
So with the Eagles, they have the playmakers to say, hey,
we can go make big plays if our defense plays
like this. But the shutout I behold the Lions and
the Packers and back to back weeks in single digits
is amazing. If they continue this, Vic Fangio Coordinator of
the Year, all the accolades, back to back Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Tom fascinating matchup next week with that Eagles offense trying
to find its stride against a Cowboys defense that's been
one of the NFL's worst. Lit the lot better last
tonight with all those new pieces. Jeffery who else? Big
statement in Week eleven, Denver Broncos new kings in the
AFC West. I don't care what the mass says. I
know there's still probabilities out there that can work for
other teams. But they'd beat the Kansas City Chiefs, who

(21:10):
won this division nine straight times, and they did it
in very convincing fashion. Didn't have Patrick Strettan, didn't have
their leading tackler, and Alex Singleton, didn't have JK.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Dobbins and still.

Speaker 13 (21:19):
Went out there and got the job done. I know
bo Nick has been taking a lot of heat. He
out played Patrick Mahome in this game. No Patrickstertan, Jaquia McMillan,
their slock corner ends up with two sacks and an interception.
So to me, this team is deep, it's got defense,
it's elite in the right areas, and Sean Payton has
them going mark this is the best team in the
AFC West.

Speaker 9 (21:38):
Another good one they're Jeffrey in. The big statement was
the Ravens that like we should maybe worry about them
even a little bit more after struggling to beat the Browns.
They're lucky they had Dylan Gabriel then getting Shadora Sanders
there to be even worse because the same old problems
that were creeping up with the Ravens that I saw
when they were losing, and that is the turnovers. Lamar
Jackson had the one that bounced off Keith Mitchell's face.

(21:59):
Man he had the other bad interception, They had the
fumbled punt return.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
They were off.

Speaker 9 (22:04):
Sides on the one punt that negated them getting the
ball right before the two minute. They can't really block
well for Lamar. He doesn't look healthy running the ball.
So I know their defense has had a resurgence, but
that's been against Miami and Minnesota and then those Cleveland Browns.
As we mentioned, I'm just worried against the better teams
if those same old problems creep up, they can't protect Lamar.

(22:25):
If they'll be able to hang with the big doll contenders.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Good thing for them.

Speaker 9 (22:27):
They got Cincinnati twice, Pittsburgh twice, and the Jets coming
up before they got to go play the Patriots and
Green Bay back to back.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Those two games against the Steelers going to be pretty
big for story, not exactly who does come out of
what could be a one playoff team division right now
in the AFC North. Give you one more, Jeffrey loudest
statements of Week eleven, Well my last one.

Speaker 13 (22:47):
I'm going to the Windy City and giving the Bears
some love because they can't get any respect right now
despite being seven and three, which is two more wins
than they had all of last season. I know Kay
Williams not turned into a superstar, justst ship, but this
two guy's not turning the ball all over. This team
has won seven of its last eight games. They started
zero to two. They're leading the NFC North right now,
which by the way, is still the most competitive division

(23:08):
in football. They're over Detroit, over Minnesota, over Green Bay.
But right now, the defense is a story for this team.
Not great statistically in terms of points and yards, but
they forced twenty two turnovers.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
This team leads the league.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
And turnover margin. Mark.

Speaker 13 (23:22):
It's time people to recognize that the Bear aren't just
about a soft schedule. They're doing some good things over
there as well too.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
They're coming on their surgeon.

Speaker 9 (23:28):
Well, Jeffery, you start out the segment saying the Rams
with the best team in the league. Well, I'm going
to end it by saying the Seahawks made more of
a statement in that loss than the Rams.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
They didn't beat them because you.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Got your quarterback turning the ball over four times, just
handed it away, and you still have the ball the
foot of your kicker to win the game. At the end,
you're telling me the Rams are better than that team. Look,
Sam Darnold, just throw two interceptions. We're going to win
the game. The way that defense played, holding the Rams
only twenty one points after those four interceptions, that's just
an Anoveaague game. I think Donald will get back right.

(24:01):
That defense is going to be there. Rashida, he work
itself more into it. We'll see more Kenneth Walker in
that run game get going. So nothing to worry about Seattle.
You still had a chance to win the game despite
all the mistakes, and you are the best team in
that division. Despite what Jeffrey Chadia says there.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Tom, I'm glad you turned that one around, Mark, because
if you did that was going to have to quote
Ernest Jones about Sam Darnold, and then I would get
fired for saying those words on TV. Jeffrey Edvil dot
com last first read for a lot more Jeffrey Mark,
Thank you very much, Judy.

Speaker 6 (24:32):
Bryce Young had a career day against the Falcons. Four
hundred and forty eight yards, three touchdown passes. Here's something amazing.
He has ten game winning drives in the fourth quarter
or OT. That's the most by a quarterback since he
entered the league in twenty twenty three. He has twelve
career wins overall, so ten of them have come with
comeback drives, game winning drives in the fourth quarter or OT.

(24:55):
Just a wild stat about Bryce Young. And here is
our Brian Baldinger, Baldi the break. You were telling me
you were watching film of Bryce Young against the Falcons.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
What'd you see from them?

Speaker 8 (25:04):
I saw him tow for four hundred and forty eight
yards shooting, but three hundred and eighteen of the yards
were just in the second half and two touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
I mean he carved him up.

Speaker 8 (25:13):
I mean it was fourth down throws, it was red
zone throws, it was you know, a big deep down
the field throws to Tep McMillan. I mean it was
a variety, and he constantly found nice throwing lanes to
get the ball to really to everybody to leget to
t Mac to his tight end, Tremble a bunch of
really good throws, and so they needed it because ric

(25:36):
O'Donnell was not great against the Falcons. They did blitz
a lot in that game, and they did pressure Brys
Young a great deal, but they got through the sacks
and the pressures to make really a career day for
Bryce Young. And really the Falcons kind of helped out
a lot, and I thought they gave him a lot
of easy completions.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
So but it was it was their sixth winner of
the year.

Speaker 8 (25:57):
It was a game where Brys Young, to your point duty,
he had to bring the team back in overtime after
they stopped the Falcons in the first series, and he
took them down the field. One big play got him
down there, but he was able to bring him back
from twenty four nineteen to twenty seven to twenty seven
win the game in overtime.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
The Panthers have won five of their last seven. Now
they get the forty nine ers. Rock Purty is back
the forty nine Ers, even through all of the injuries
they've had very much in the playoff picture.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Their third in the NFC West.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
But of course the NFC West is the best division
in the game right now. They would be the seventh
seed in the NFC if the playoffs started today. What
are you seeing from the forty nine ers right now,
especially with Purty back.

Speaker 8 (26:37):
I see outstanding coaching Judy to overcome the injuries, and
they're getting healthier. I mean, Ricky Piersoll is back, Rock
Purty is back the center, Blake Brendel is back, like
you're seeing the return to the starting offense. And you
saw some great game planning. This throw right here to
Kittle in the back of the end zone was a
well designed play by Kyle. But honestly, Rock Perty, who

(26:58):
has not played in six or seven weeks, was razor sharp.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
He saw the.

Speaker 8 (27:02):
Field, he had zip on the ball, he knew exactly
what he was looking at. He was really maybe one
or two throws he might want to have back, but
for the most part, he got the ball to his
playmakers like McCaffrey and Kittle routinely and he was sharp.
And then defensively, I don't know if there's a better
defensive coordinator right now than Robert Sala. To get a

(27:24):
lot of new guys to play, I mean, there's Curtis Robinson,
the thirdeen middle linebacker, you know, leading them in tackles
coming off and replacing Taylor Bethune. It was pretty impressive
to see Keon White coming on Alfred Collins, CJ. West
like they played. They played with such energy. Judy like
it jumps through the screen when you study him. That's

(27:47):
that's Robert Salad. That's his ability to motivate like a
really young group of guys, and if they play like that,
they're going to be tough to beat.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
But this should be a good game.

Speaker 8 (27:55):
It's for playoff seating. The winner kind of keeps themselves
in a posi to play in January right now, so
there's going to be a lot on the line this
Monday night.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Not sure at the start of the season we would
have looked at the schedule and thought this was going
to be a really critical game in the NFC. But
it is going to be a really critical game in
the NFC. Brian Baldinger, thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
It's time to check out your perfect lineup. Yep, I
can see a cup. I won two three members of
the Outsiders, Michael f Florio standing by. We rolled this
week one hundred and fifty eight to one oh six
point five. Okay, the imperfect lineup. I guess we didn't
want to revisit that one too quickly. Anyway, time to

(28:36):
go inside with NFL Fantasy Live.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
I'm smiling this week.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
We're back on the plus side of five hundred six
and five Michael left making our playoff push thanks to your.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
Helping my assistant general manager.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
All right, but every roster needs work on Tuesday when
it's time to get your claims in and get ready
for Wednesday. So if you're watching this right now, get
your phones ready.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
I got them right here.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Michaelf's going to take get through each of the positions
waiver claims, starting at the quarterback spot.

Speaker 12 (29:04):
No, I didn't hear from you this weekend, so I
was a little nervous. Whenever I don't hear from you,
I'm like that the outsiders lose. I'm happy it was
an easy victory. Cigar brother, and that imperfect lineup. All
you need to know about it is Darnell Washington outscored
it all by himself. But Ja Kobe Press. I spoke
him up last week. Not enough of you listen because

(29:24):
he is still highly available and look you don't want
to watch Jakobe Pressett's games. They're not always pretty, but
he's been consistent for Fantasy twenty one fantasy points per
game as the starter. Only Alan Mahomes and Jackson Dard
in the games he has started has outscored that number,
and it's just a perfect recipe for fantasy. The Cards

(29:45):
trail often they've struggled to run the ball, which means
they throw a bunch, and this week they get the Jaguars,
who are top five in passing touchdowns and Fantasy points
to quarterbacks. And if you miss out on him, Bryce
Young is a good.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Fallback option if you need a stream.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
No.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
I last week in my roster.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
He's staying there hopefully, or I wish we would have
points for attempts and completions because my man's at the
NFL record last.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Week with his completions.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
All right, I've got five waiver claims currently in the
queue right now, so as good as things were, which
is interesting because we're only allowed four, so I don't
know how that's going to shake out. Anyway, Let's get
to the running back position, where two of my waiver
claims are.

Speaker 12 (30:23):
Now and everyone watching should be putting in waiver claims
for these players this week. The first is Kenneth Gainwell,
who it's looking like Jalen Warren is going to be
very up in the air for this upcoming week. And
the last time that Jalen Warren missed, Gamewell had twenty
five opportunities. He went for over one hundred and thirty yards,
scored two touchdowns and thirty one Fantasy points.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
Last week he had eight targets.

Speaker 12 (30:47):
This week, now he gets the Bears, who are a
very favorable matchup for running backs. So if Warren is out,
you play gain Well as an RB two or a flex,
and same situation with Emmanuel Wilson. If Josh Jacobs is out,
he is very much so in play as an RB
two or flex because last week, after Jacobs went down
seventy one percent of the snaps, he handled all but

(31:09):
one of the running back carries. He was running all
the routes and against the Vikings this week not the
best matchup on paper, but game script should be on
his side, so I expect a lot of volume there.
And hey also Sean Tucker if he's out there, but
he shouldn't be because I was talking him up last week
on this very show.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Yeah, Gamewell's rostered in my league, but Emmanuel Wilson is not.
So I'm not going to put in acclaim for him
all right, wide receiver position, let's go there.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Who we claiming at the wide receiver position?

Speaker 12 (31:37):
Another Wilson And I don't think this one is that
hard to understand, right, Eighteen targets last week, fifteen catches
a buck eighty.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Five through the air.

Speaker 12 (31:48):
Yeah, that might be one of his best career games.
But just like with Jakobe, persaid, the Cardinals have to
throw a bunch because they have trailed often and they
have struggled to run the ball. It is a recipe
for fantasy success, especially this week for Wilson because the
Jaguars they've allowed the fourth most yards and second most
touchdowns to out wide wide receivers, and last week, with

(32:10):
no Marvin Harrison Junior, Wilson played eighty three percent of
his snaps out wide.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Usually he plays more in the slot.

Speaker 12 (32:16):
If Marv is out again this week, I think Michael
Wilson is very much someone you could plug in to
your starting lineup, and hey, if you miss out on those,
there are other good options out there. I mentioned Bryce
Young and Sean Tucker. But receiver is pretty loaded right now.
Some injuries grant Luther Burden. While you can tight two
as well. There's some good tight end depth if you

(32:38):
need it this week.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
Trey Benson.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
All right, Trey Benson there on the list there if
you can grab him in your league. Michael Lef, I
need a kicker this week. Will Let's is headed to
the bye. Finally had his breakout game and now he's like, dude,
you're on your.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Own this week.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Thanks will appreciate it, Marian, Michael Lef. I'll text you.
We will have our personnel meetings offline. My friend, Thank
you very much, appreciate your insight. You'll be back on Thursday,
which starts and sits on the insiders.

Speaker 11 (33:06):
You guys earned that that win, right there. Man, toughness,
crint it, playing together as a team.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Nobody will know. The time you put in, nobody will know.
But it paid off.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Man.

Speaker 11 (33:16):
That tests us, you know it, And we knew what
was gonna be like this, and you and you freaking
you showed them how tough.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
You were, showed him out.

Speaker 11 (33:25):
Tough you were, man, I'm really proud of you.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
The key right now is you.

Speaker 11 (33:28):
Gotta get yourselves back fast. It's a Thursday night game.
I know the tubs are open, training rooms open. Take
care of yourselves. We're gonna need all the energy that
you got Thursday night.

Speaker 14 (33:40):
I love the way we fought, Love the way we win.
We can win any type of way, it doesn't matter.
Just finish with the dope. And I like how everybody
fitish the day. Man, let's keep building over for this one. No,
we gotta quick turnaround, all right, got a quick turn around.

Speaker 15 (33:52):
Play on Thursday at home, all right, So forty guys,
we get back tonight. Recovery starts all right, rolling his
staff and training room st everything will be open until
ten o'clock, all right, So yeah, take advantage of that.
Make sure you recovered.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Take care of your body is the right way, and
let's man, let's go out. He raised his putty debate
right now on the plane, and we're all in to Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
That was more tub talk than I was expecting in
the postgame locker room for both those teams. But it
makes sense, indeed, a quick turnaround. Bill's Texans kicking off
Week twelve, Thursday Night on Prime Video. To dive deeper
into this matchup a guy who's got a quick turnaround
every week. Sam schwartzting Prime Video and tnf's analytics expert

(34:33):
here Sam Josh Allen coming off of an NFL MVP season.
If there's one defense in the league that made the
superhero look human again, it was the Texans last year.
What do you see, if anything in this Texans defense
that can make life harder on Josh.

Speaker 16 (34:49):
Yeah, nobody got after Josh Allen more last year than
this Texans defense, and all starts with their two star
pass rushers in Will Anderson Junior and Daniel Hunter. They
had pressure on Josh all on season hind forty six percent.
That's what they had him too. And then when they
went man coverage they held him to one for eleven
against man coverage. Josh Allen struggled when they got the pressure,

(35:10):
only one of fourteen with pressure. They also had Josh
Allen at his lowest CPOE negative eighteen point six percent.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Josh Allen was all out of sorts.

Speaker 16 (35:20):
He could not handle all the different things that the
Texans were throwing his way, and he was evading healthy pockets.
Once you can get Josh Allen off his game like
they saw last week. When he starts pressing, he starts
pushing too much. That's where it can be a little
bit of old school Josh Allen where you see a
little bit of the freak out plays and he can't
really figure out exactly what he wants to do. But
this Houston defen still has to go against Josh Allen

(35:42):
again the season, different teams.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
And personnel is different, but also the guy calling it
for Houston is different. Matt Burke has taken over for
Demico Ryans. They're number one in the league right now,
only allowing sixteen points per game.

Speaker 16 (35:55):
What makes Houston so tough, it's a total complete defense.
It comes down to success sorate how consistent are they.
They're allowing around a thirty nine percent success right on offense,
which would be the fourth best in the NFL. When
you combine that with the pass rushing duo again, Will
Anderson gets a point seventy nine average getoff time. Anything
below point seven is called a good jomb That doubles

(36:15):
your chance of pressure. And they're gonna bring Blitzer from
all over the place and they're gonna play a ton
of zone defense. This is a really young defense with
paired with some elite players up front that can make
it difficult. They're making quarterbacks getting the ball out in
two point sixty eight seconds. That's averaging a quick throw
as the third fastest time to throw. And watch out,
if this team can get a lead, we're gonna see

(36:37):
an even better defense. They're only leading or only they're
trailing forty percent of the time. That's the third most
in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
James Cook has been a huge piece of this Bill's
offense so far this season as well last couple of
weeks a bit a little bit of a battle to
try to get that going consistently. What do you see
right now with Cook and the Bills offense and how
do they attack on the ground game.

Speaker 16 (36:56):
Yeah, it's where this offense starts and ends. Really, Josh
Allen needs to be able to get third and manageable
to manage it, and that's what James Cook does. This
team's great at getting yards before contact. They have the
most yards before contact, and then James Cook has the
fourth march yards after contact and he's out gaining his

(37:16):
expected rushing So when we use the machine learning model,
that rush yard's over expected to get you that expected
rush yards, he's out gaining around forty nine percent of
the time. That's the second best amongst running backs. So
he's consistent. They block well, he finishes well, and that
puts them into third and manageable, and that's where Josh
Allen can really shine. Converting and then ultimately one of
the best QB sneak quarterbacks in the NFL. Leave it

(37:39):
to short yards for Josh early downs. That's where James
Cook comes in.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
You can watch Sam every Thursday night on tnf's Prime
Vision with Next Gen Stats. Alternate stream Thursday's coverage Bills

Speaker 11 (38:40):
The only good thing that's ever come out of New
York City is standing right in front of you. The
only champion New York is seen in how many year
can you count?

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Cam? How many years you don't know?

Speaker 14 (38:52):
You can't count?

Speaker 5 (38:54):
Let me take this interview bat watch.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Do things in the NFL well feel inevitable? Cam scataboos
somehow ending up on WWE Monday Night Raw kind of
felt inevitable. And imagine Mike the damage you could have
done with two working wheels.

Speaker 4 (39:10):
Yeah, honestly we're talking about the damage like. He got
a lot of backlash or some backlash, I guess, and
felt the need to take to X to say yo, relax,
everything was fine here. It is. If you don't like
that having a good time while dealing with a tough time,
go ahead and unfollow and casually move on. I'm not
able to play for you know, I sort of agree

(39:31):
with him here. It's not like like if you told me,
you know, he was going to go into the ring
and Ken Shamrock, whose signature move was the ankle lock,
would then get him and put him in one, and
like I say, oh, you probably don't want to do that.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
Shortly removed from surgery, that was just a quick you know,
so yeah, I have fun, can enjoy.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
I don't want to burst any buttles.

Speaker 6 (39:51):
Everybody remembers that pro wrestling is staged right like everybody's acting.
That was not a genuine street fight that he was
involved in.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
I know.

Speaker 6 (39:59):
That just blew everybody's minds. Please everybody, relax. We don't
have to be outraged over everything.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
It's real to me. It's real to me, and that's
really what matters here. As long as I believe it,
that's all I want. It's really good morning football.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
The Undertaker joining us on Wednesday, I'll ask him if
it's real
