Speaker 1 (00:08):
It's Jackson Darts World, and we're just living in it,
at least for one night. We will take you inside
the Giants breakthrough game and inside the Eagles locker room
tonight as the champs continue to search for answers following
that TNF catastrophe. The jets last trip to London did

(00:29):
not go so well, especially you know, for the head
coach that they fired two days later. Can Aaron Glenn's
crew fare better and pick up their first win. We
will take you across the Atlantic tonight where Sarah Walls
caught up with one.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Of the Broncos stars.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
We also have an all time NFL legend on the
show tonight.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
The things got a.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Little weird when Ronnie Lott dared our guy olmar Ruiz
to cut off one of his fingers. Did he do it?
You'll just have to stay tuned to find out. Welcome
inside with the Insiders alongside Mike garaf I am Tom Pelisero.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Week six in the NFL is off and running.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
We will get to those highlights in just a few minutes,
but first we've got a fair amount of quarterback drama
as we roll on to Sunday. Let's start out in
Baltimore where the Ravens once again, we'll not have the
two time NFL MVP. Lamar Jackson ruled out for a
second consecutive game because of that hamstring injury that he
suffered against the Chiefs back in Week four. Ravens have

(01:28):
a bye coming up. They could get Lamar Jackson back
after that, but it's going to be Cooper Rush once
again as Baltimore tries to stave off a one and
five start. The forty nine ers to me, if you've
heard this one before, also have some quarterback questions. Brock
Perty ruled out for the fourth time in the first
six games of this season, second week in a row.

(01:50):
Suffered that tow injury in the opener, aggravated it when
he returned in Week four. It is expected to be
once again mac Jones, though officially mac Jones is listed
as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, dealing with
not just that knee and the brace to continue to
move around and give him.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Trouble, but an oblique injury as well.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Kyle Shanahan express optimism and certainly feels as if mack
is going to be able to go. The only other
quarterback they've got right now is Adrian Martinez, who is
set to back up Mac. The Cardinals also have a
quarterback question Kyler Murray, who severed a foot injury. He
went to the locker room briefly, then returned as things
fell apart last week against the Titans, return to practice today.

(02:33):
He is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Game against the Colts.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
If he can't go, it would be Jacoby Brissett and
what certainly feels like a must win game for Arizona
coming off of three consecutive walk off losses. There was
no walkoff last night at MetLife Stadium. That's because the
Giants won that one over the Eagles going away. It
was an impressive showing all around for Jackson, Dart in company.

(02:59):
Jackson made his prime time debut opening drive for the Giants.
They're down three to nothing, Dart with nowhere to throw,
but this is something he did all night, whether it
was taking off, running, buying time in the pocket, He
found the creases.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
The Eagles just seemed to have no answers.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Fourth quarter Now Jalen hurts in the Eagles down twenty
seven to seventeen. Jalen hurts looking for Johan Dotson, but
instead finds Cordale Flot who Cordale Flot two.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well almost to the house.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Saquon Barkley ended up catching up with them there, but
a huge play on a big night for the Giants
and their defense, ensuing Giants' possession. Cam Skataboo, who was
moving piles all night into the end zone thirty four
to seventeen a backflip to celebrate it. But the man
of the night was certainly Jackson Dart, who caught up
with the guy who looks vaguely familiar.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
So I've been around here, but this is not a
team that this team has beaten very often in the
recent years. This is not a scene that we've seen
often singing New York, New York the entire crowd a
two minute warning. Can you tell what tonight means this organization.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
In this team, Yeah, absolutely, I mean this, this city,
this place. You know, they just want to win more
than anything. And I think that that's why, like, as
a competitor, you just love to be a part of
You love to be a part of that standard.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
And we got to just do our best to try
to keep stacking these But this was this was a
good one for.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I don't think I've seen as many visitors to a
medical tent as I saw that you got, including Camp Scataboo.
You got to tell me, what's it like when he
ducks his head in there.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
I mean, he's crazy, Bro, he's crazy, but he's a
baller man like I was coming in here, and and
you know, we're really just trying to change the culture
of intensity.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
And you know, he played off tonight, so I love him.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Last one you've gone at least semi viral. You gave
the ref of high five. He had his hand up
and you were trying to convince him it was a touchdown.
Would have to tell him.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I was trying to tell I didn't know if you
called it down or not.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
So I was like, come on, bro, but uh no,
that was cool.

Speaker 6 (04:50):
That was cool.

Speaker 7 (04:51):
That's a great win, man.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
And I'm gonna tell you this, I love every one
of you, man, right, because it ain't easy all the time,
but to stay level headed and stay connected and battle.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I'm proud as hell of you.

Speaker 8 (05:09):
I'm proud to be associated with you, I'm proud to
lead you, and we're gonna stay even keeled, all right,
We're just going to keep on grinding.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Let's welcome in our cameraon Wolf to the conversation. Mike,
obviously you were there. You were in both locker rooms.
Giants celebratory mood, Eagles not so much. Strange quotes that
AJ Brown felt the need once again to clarify what
does this loss through the Eagles of where do they
go from here?

Speaker 3 (05:37):
They go to a ten day by or mini buy
as we like to call it, after a Thursday game,
which is good. That's what they need. They have their
real buy coming up in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 9 (05:46):
That's good. They need that as well.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
It did a great job last year of resetting from
an offensive scheme standpoint, and Jalen Hurts communicating with Nick
Sirianni and the offensive staff about what he was comfortable doing.
And after they came out of that buy, they were
ampletely different team. And they lost one game the rest
of the way, and it was when Hurtz was injured
and unable to finish the game there. So you kind
of sort of hope, if you're the Eagles, you can

(06:09):
do that kind of reset here. But you're hearing a
little bit of everything. I mean, Lane Johnson afterward using
the P word, which always comes up every single time
the offense is struggling in Philadelphia.

Speaker 9 (06:20):
Predictable.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
That's the word that always comes up, and all of
a sudden, when it comes out of the mouth of
one of the key players, it really takes off. At
that point, AJ Brown clarifying quote you talked about it,
saying that he didn't recall any meeting between him, Jalen Hurts,
and Saquon Barkley, and then saying today, just to clear
it up, I said, I don't recall because I was

(06:43):
treated as I mean. He could have said that all
last night, he chose to say it the following day,
despite being asked repeatedly about that meeting. The vibe, the
body language, I mean, everything, everything is off at this point.

Speaker 9 (06:58):
I don't know how it was.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I know how resets quickly. I'm sorry, Cam, I was
going for the dramatic pause there. I don't know Cam now,
but maybe you can answer it. Maybe I should pause longer,
long enough for you to give me answers and to
give that egos locker room answers, because it just feels
very lost and defeated right now.

Speaker 7 (07:16):
Go lost and defeated. Is a great term, and I'll
start with this. I talked with Giant safety Javon Holland
today and I asked them what was their game plan
going in? He said, look, we saw a team that
got most of their games plays in a passing game
off broken plays. We didn't want to give them anything free.
And throughout the game they look like a team that
didn't know what they wanted to do, what their identity was.

Speaker 10 (07:37):
And this is an opposing defense that sees that.

Speaker 7 (07:39):
And so some of the locker room comments you mentioned,
Mike were very interesting. Lane Johnson calling the offense predictable,
saying that they didn't make the adjustments at halftime. The
numbers represent that they're the worst team in football in
points after halftime, And of course all that conversation will
go to their offensive coordinator. But look, to me, there's
more at hand at this This team in twenty twenty

(08:03):
four was built off of their run game, the best
run game in football, the best offensive line in football.

Speaker 10 (08:08):
They've been neither this year.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
They've been really banged up in the interior that offensive
line with Landon Dickerson, with Cam Jurgens. Obviously, they lost
Makai Beckton in free agency and they cannot do what
they want inside the game. And Sa Kwan Barkley was
actually asked about that key word you mentioned, predictable, and
he said, look, we were predictable last year and no
one could stop us. The difference is they do not

(08:31):
have the same personnel as they did last year. Lane
sparked the comeback after the bye last year, maybe the
same thing happens here, but that run game, getting back
to the RPOs running outside on the perimeters.

Speaker 10 (08:43):
Those are some of the suggestions he made.

Speaker 7 (08:45):
Maybe that can be implemented after this ten day by
to be able to get this Eagles offense back to
being the physical unit they were in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
I'm with you. I'm a holder, Nick Sirianni ken Batolo.
The offensive step have got to go back to the
drawing board in a lot of ways.

Speaker 9 (09:01):
That being said.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Aj Brown stopped on a route this past Sunday and Devonte.

Speaker 9 (09:06):
Smith was wide open and had one air mailed.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
That's about one hundred and fifty yards of total offense
and two touchdowns that was left on the field and
called perfectly.

Speaker 9 (09:16):
Everyone top to bottom is accountable.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
On this as good as Shane Bowen's defense was for
a lot of last night. If Jalen Hurts hits that throat,
Avante Smith just put some air under it, we might
be talking about an entirely different game. Injuries clearly never
an excuse. Giants didn't have Malik Neighbors last night or
for the rest of this season. The Eagles also didn't
have one of their top players. Jalen Carter sat out
that game, had popped up on the injury report with

(09:39):
a heel injury. Mike was live documenting it. His agent,
Drew Rosenhaus was there. They had a conversation, had a
conversation with the team. Jalen Carter ultimately did not end
up going. Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell also left the game in
the first quarter with a hamstring injury. That's where the
Giants really seemed to have some opportunities to begin to
exploit things. No update from Nick Siri on that today.

(10:01):
Two injuries certainly worth monitoring as they get the next
ten days to heal up and get ready to take
on the Vikings. Flip side of this, Mike, this was
a moment that the Giants had been waiting for for
a long time, and I couldn't help but think in
watching that game, it was appropriate Saquon Barkley is on
the field because, yes, Saquon went and he got paid

(10:22):
by the Eagles. Yes, he ran for two thousand yards
and won a Super Bowl. Saquon Barkley is not going
to be the difference between the Giants winning the Super
Bowl last year or not. They felt like they had
a lot of other needs, including building up the defense
back in twenty twenty four when they made those decisions.
They use some of that money on Brian Burns, who
was absolutely everywhere on the field, and these last two

(10:42):
draft classes, namely led by Jackson Dart and Cam Scatabu,
absolutely bawling in front of the whole country.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
I started digging anything of that Saquon documentary, by the way,
which tracks the five years or so between the Giants
and the Eels pretty good. What I find interesting is
the Giants were recording phone calls on the hard knocks
end of things, and he's recording phone calls. I mean
no phone call was saved from a recording device, apparently
on both sides of this relationship for a couple of
years here for the Giants, Jackson Dart. We talked about

(11:13):
everything they thought they had in this guy. They are
seeing it in him. It's really interesting the fact that
they beat the Chargers in the Eagles and in between
they lost to a team that might have the first
overall pick in the draft. I think it might wind
up being a weird twenty twenty five season for the
Giants in that way, but that's a lot better than
losing most of the games.

Speaker 9 (11:34):
We wanted this team to be fun. We wanted them
to be competitive.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
We meeting everybody that is in New York market and
covers this team because the Giants and Jets have just
been irrelevant for so long. Now we've got some relevancy
here and they've got some excitement, everything that they wanted
from both Jackson Dart and camp Scataboo. The one thing,
and I mentioned this before last week's game after his
debut against the Chargers, got to protect himself and they've

(11:57):
got to protect him even when he went out with
that cushion check and whatever else was ailing him at
that point came back and in harm's way again. This
is a process that Brian Dable was with Josh Allen
in Buffalo that had taken years and it's still going
on with Josh Allen, so I expect that to take
some time.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
Yeah, Mike, Jackson Dart certainly provides them hope, along with
Cam Scataboo. If you watch the end of that game
and afterwards and see Scataboo taking his shirt off, Jackson
Dart getting the crowd rowdy up. They haven't had this
moment in a long time, and talking to people in
that Giants locker room, they talk about the spark this
could provide.

Speaker 10 (12:33):
Look, let's just keep it what it is.

Speaker 7 (12:35):
There was a lot of smoke and talk about Brian
day Ball's job security for weeks leading up to this.
Jackson Dart is the hope. Jackson Dart is the hope
for day Ball's job, for the future of the Giants,
all these elements, and he played the best game of
his young career last night in the biggest stage. And
I know talking to people in that building, they talked
about the importance of beating this Eagles team, something they

(12:57):
haven't done since twenty twenty three, what it means for
this franchise and turn it around now as you mean,
as you mentioned, they've got to keep it sustainable. You
can't lose the Saints one week and beat the Eagles another.
But that hope is something that is valuable. It drives
teams that maybe don't have the talent to rise up.
And as you saw with Jackson Dart's play, when he
plays well, it allows.

Speaker 10 (13:18):
Their best unit, their defense, to get after the ball.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Brian Burns has a couple of sacks that pass Russ
starts to get after this team, and the Giants start
to look like a team where you're like, all right,
they're better than what their record is. And so as
we move forward, it's ken Jackson Dart and Kamskattab will
continue to provide that spark early in the game to
where we're talking less about the gloom and doom after
the season and more about what the magic they can

(13:42):
make going on in the midst of it.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
You talk about the sustainability, the first question that comes
to mind is can Jackson Dart running as much as
he has taken on as much contact as he is,
can that be sustainable over the course of the season.
It's certainly something that Dartist talked about he wants to
be conscientious about last night. It also led to him
ending up in the Blue tent being checked out for
a concussion that led to a fairly bizarre sequence of

(14:05):
events in which Cam Scatta, who's poking his head in
eventually Brian Dabele also poking his head into the tent
at one point captured on TV. Not overly thrilled with
the speed of the evaluations, he made clear to the
Giants team doctor. The NFL now has initiated a review
of the application of the concussion protocol from last night's
game against the Eagles. That review will be conducted jointly

(14:27):
with the NFLPA under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Giants owner
John Mayer release statement in part saying, while I firmly
believe as Dabel has stated that he was not trying
to influence the process in any way, he understands that
the appearance of going to the tent is inappropriate. We
mentioned Lamar Jackson out once again for the Ravens. Check

(14:48):
out the rest of this list. It has gotten shorter
this week. Kyle Hamilton is going to be back, Ronnie
Stanley's off the injury report, but still no ro Quwand Smith,
no Chidobea Douzier, Patrick Rikard, the sand fullback remains out
and Jay Flowers also popping up as questionable. A lot
of injuries to keep an eye on here over the
next forty eight hours. The health of Jamar Chase also

(15:11):
in at least some question. He came down with an
illness on Thursday night, according to Zach Taylor, officially listed
as questionable for Sunday's game against the Packers. History would
tell you with an illness, Jamar Chase is probably going
to be out there, but.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Not the week to miss a practice.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
What a quarterback get traded for on Tuesday needs every.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Rep that he can get.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
We'll see what type of impact, if any, that has
on Jamar Chase and the Bengals offense comes Sunday against
the Packers. Xavier Worthy is going to be good to go,
dealing with the shoulder and the ankle. The shoulder residuals
from Week one, the ankle he turned last week limited
in practice through the course of the week, was out
there today. Andy Reid said that he moved around well.
He's off the injury report and good to go against

(15:50):
the Lions.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Raiders.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Tight End Brock Bauers meanwhile out once again for Sunday's
game against the Titans because of that knee injury that
he suffered way back in Week one one against the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
He tried to gut it out for a few weeks.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Last week, they were hoping to give him a couple
days off and get it right. That has not yet happened.
They got one more game after this one prior to
their bye. May well be after the buy that we
see brock Bauers back on the field. The Jets and
Broncos are headed to London as the International Series rolls
on nine to thirty am Eastern Time. That is the

(16:25):
kickoff Sunday morning right here on NFL Network. The teams
are in town, so was our Sarah Walls, who caught
up with Broncos star Nick Bonito in London.

Speaker 11 (16:35):
Congratulations the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. What has
changed for you in your game that has allowed you
to break out in the manner in which you have
this season?

Speaker 12 (16:46):
Yeah, I man, just you know, probably I would say
the way I'm studying film and just my practice habits
and things like that. I feel like it's kind of
taking the jump in, you know, I've kind of gotten
smarter with that and being able to make more plays
against certain things.

Speaker 5 (16:59):
So I would say accumulation of both of those teams.

Speaker 11 (17:02):
What does a game that you won in the manner
in which you guys wanted it, come from behind victory
and this was on the defensive side. I mean, you
guys harassed Jalen Hurts six sacks. What does that do
for a team going forward the rest of the season.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
Yeah, it's a big confidence boost to the team. You know.

Speaker 12 (17:19):
Obviously going into a super Bowl Champs house and winning
on the road, you know, that's.

Speaker 5 (17:24):
That's a big deal.

Speaker 12 (17:25):
So I mean, you know, just taking that and kind
of building off fit and it's gonna be real good.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
For us that we're able to have that experience and
when win that for sure.

Speaker 11 (17:32):
I know you don't really have time to sight see,
but give me the best part of being over here
in London so far.

Speaker 12 (17:40):
I would just say that many different type of restaurants
that they had here. I mean we went to like
two on Monday and Tuesday that were pretty good. So
I would just say, like the different variety of foods
they have, for sure.

Speaker 11 (17:51):
Enjoy the trip. We'll see you out there on Sunday.
Good luck against the jet, Thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Snooze off game on Sunday Morning Football Continues in London,
presented by NetApp BNICKX and the Broncos versus Sauce Gardner
and the Jets Sunday nine thirty am Eastern only on
NFL Network and streaming with NFL Plus subscription required for
NFL Plus is a plus dot NFL dot com for

(18:17):
terms All apologies to Justin Fields.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I didn't write that promo.

Speaker 10 (18:21):
I would add you in.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
There instead of Sauce Gardner, regardless that Jets team needs
to find something. The loan remaining winless team in the
NFL as they headed overseas to take on a Broncos
team right now tied for the AFC West lead. They've
won two games in a row. The offense with bo
Nicks appears to be heeding up defensively. They also shut

(18:43):
down the Eagles last Sunday, a sentence that would have
seemed slightly more impressive prior to seeing the Giants do
the exact same thing last night. Time Now for Good coverage,
presented by Progressive Insurance Patzertans Saucegardner, two of four active
cornerbacks in the NFL with multiple first team All Pro

(19:04):
selections certainly, Certan remains on top of his game, and
sauce Gardner, despite how much the Jets defense as a
whole has struggled, his coverage remains good. You look at
the numbers here, highest tight window percentage by cornerback this
season according to Next ten Stats, in essence, the most
percentage of snaps where the corner is not giving the

(19:25):
quarterback a lot of room to throw. Patzertan sauce Gardner
are one to two on that list. Both guys going
to need to do their part on Sunday in London,
where are Richard gravestands by with.

Speaker 13 (19:38):
An zero to five record. It goes without saying the
New York Jets would dearly love to leave London with
one in the win column, but they face a tough
challenge this weekend in the form of a Denver Broncos
defense the ranks number two points allowed and leads the
league with twenty one sacks. Despite that, coach Aaron Glenn
feels that there's a good vibe around this New York
Jets team. He says, it's been a good week of

(19:59):
practice and they've preached the keyword consistency. If they need
a spark, that may well be delivered in the form
of returning ed Russia. Jermaine Johnson, missing for the last
three weeks with an ankle injury, he's been declared ready
to go, and he told us today that they've had
a player's only meeting, adding that we take full accountability.
We've got to be better. And on that note, Aaron

(20:21):
Glenn has said it's time for us to do those
things now, starting with the Denver Broncos this Sunday at
Tottenham Hotsts.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Will be hard to follow Richard Graves in that accent
with my stupid Midwestern non regional diction. Hi, I'm an
awaking Dowdle revitens game against the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
That is terrible. It sounds worse every time I do it.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Tim Wolf the Wolf's Wall Street with insight on Dowbdell
and a lot more. Right after this are the Insiders
presented by Progressive Insurance.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
On The American Cancer Society created a crucial catch because
early cancer detection can save lives. The five year survival
rate for any cancers is over ninety percent when detected early.

Speaker 9 (21:10):
It takes all of us to intercept cancer. Don't wait.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Visit NFL dot com slash crucial catch to find your
local cancer screening resources and to learn how to reduce
your cancer risk. Joe Flacco getting set to start for
the Cincinnati Bengals after being traded on Tuesday from Cleveland
to Cincinnati. He will get the start there. Flacco practicing

(21:38):
this week for the Cincinnati Bengals as he gets ready
for this game against the Green Bay Packers. Got across
the street there in Cincinnati, Joe Flacco, wonder if you
do that. You've been in a lot of places in
the NFL. You've been there in Cincinnati. In the meantime,
on the other side of this one, excuse me, in
their playing Green Bay in Cleveland. Shador Sanders week and

(22:00):
we were reacting to Kevin Stefanski not committing to Shador
Sanders as the quarterback number two for the Browns.

Speaker 9 (22:07):
He did on Friday finally remember.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
That Belly's happy on the practice squad, but he said no,
Shad Door Sanders is going to be our QB two
here behind Dylan Gabriel. So one step closer to playing
in the NFL for Shador Sanders. We do expect it
to come before the end of the season. Whether Dylan
Gabriel gets hurt or is in need of a relief
or not. The Browns had an active week.

Speaker 10 (22:31):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Also in addition to the flacoat trade swapping cornerbacks, end
draft picks, Tyson Campbell goes to Cleveland in exchange for
Greg Newsome heading to Jacksonville.

Speaker 9 (22:42):
So that is the week that was for the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
And this is the Wolf of Ball Street, our guy,
Cameron Wolf give you the skinny everything he's learning while
he's burning up the phone lines and texted people around
the NFL. We're gonna start with Tyson Campbell, a guy
who was down there in Florid with you. Tyson Campbell
now headed up to Cleveland for a reset there the
new regime in Jacksonville. This was a guy from the

(23:08):
previous regime. What do you expected on both sides of
his trade?

Speaker 7 (23:10):
Here, Mike I walked the field pregame with Jaguars GM
James Gladstone, and he was telling me how when he
started the job, you start blind and then you learn
so much about scheme and what's valued in it. And
he said, my view of certain positions like linebacker and
cornerback are so vastly different than when I first started,
and that's where we start with this Tyson Campbell Greg

(23:31):
Newsom trade, because as I understand it, from the Jaguar side,
they felt like Tyson Campbell, who was paid big money
from the previous regime, wasn't the best scheme fit in there.
And they get an opportunity to get off of that
big contract, get some flexibility to maybe pay some guys
later on down the line, and they get a guy
in Greg Newsom who they think will play better zone
cornerback for them, maybe more interesting on the long term.

(23:54):
This opens up a place for Travis Hunter to be
a full time cornerback. Talking to people there, the vision
is long term, maybe as early as next year, he
becomes the starting cornerback full time there, and.

Speaker 10 (24:07):
This opens up the path forward.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
I was at that game Monday night and Travis Hunter
is covering Xavier Worthy and Travis Hunter Travis kelce down
the field, really showing his versatility. And one thing to
note they could be more aggressive going forward. Let's go
to Charlotte where Rico Dawdle could have a true revenge
game two hundred and six yards against the Dolphins last week,
and he told the Cowboys his former team, buckle up,

(24:31):
I'm coming and look. He is a guy who had
five years in Dallas, ran for a thousand yards and
said they didn't even give him offer. I talked there
to offer as a coordinator Brad Isaac this week. He
said he ran like a physical mad man. He said,
our twelve personnel has blocked really well up front. I
asked him about the mental element of Dado. How does

(24:52):
he keep him focused? He said he is locked in.
In fact, he's asking for more. He's showing me tape
of Devon Chan making that fade right and he told
him he had a thirty nine vertical on his pro day.

Speaker 10 (25:03):
Throw me a fade route.

Speaker 7 (25:04):
He's doing twirling motions every time in practice to try
to get more big opportunity for daubdle against his former team.
And finally, let's go and look into the New England
Patriots who had that big win against the Buffalo Bills,
and talk about Stefan Diggs. From people I talked to there,
Diggs has been one of the most best vocal guys
on the team, super positive and one person told me

(25:27):
Diggs and may have grown in a way because of
diggs work. Any other guy with his age coming off
that injury would have taken days off. I'm told Diggs
has taken no days off at all, And the Pats
also loved diggs quote this week about how this week
versus the Saints could be more difficult due.

Speaker 10 (25:45):
To the motivation.

Speaker 7 (25:46):
One other thing that pass have done really well situational football.
Mike Vrabel and John Striker their VP there. They worked
together on the situational drills and if you remember that
Bills game, there was a moment and the end of
the game where Rabel's looking at the clock and calling
time out at the perfect time at sixteen seconds. That's intentional.

(26:06):
They try to keep the ball away from Josh Allen.
They think that's a big advantage for them, and so
Stefan Diggs leadership their situational football. They think that's a
big reason why they're ahead of schedule in a lot
of people's mind.

Speaker 10 (26:18):
As far as this.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Assess new this season, NFL Sunday Ticket month to month
is now available. Subscribe now and cancel anytime to watch
more of your favorite teams out of market Sunday games.
Terms and embargoes apply time now to go inside with
NFL Fantasy Live and our guy Adam Rank with your

(26:41):
Week six six and starts rank. Let's start out for
all those people who Handcoff Najie, Harrison and Maari and Hampton,
they had the Chargers covered. Now both guys are out.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
What do you do?

Speaker 14 (26:54):
You hope that you picked the right guy up off
of the waiver wire. There's two schools of thought here
KMANI Buydell and of course Hassan Haskins, who is going
to be the guy who's going to get the majority
of the playing time. Now, we did see last week
that when Haskins got into the game, he got into
the game with Justin Herbert Kamani Bydell's attempts came when

(27:15):
Trey Lance was in the game. Now, if you go
back to last season, I was a huge proponent of
Camani Videll coming out of Troy. Thought he was going
to be somebody who could make some noise there in
fantasy football. It is not materialized yet, and Haskins is
a Michigan guy. So to me, my sincerest hope is
that Videll is the guy, because that's the player that

(27:36):
I've been picking up the most off the waiverbarre.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
But until we see it we're not going to know
one undred percent. I know that was very vague.

Speaker 14 (27:43):
That probably wasn't helpful, but that's where we're at right now.
I'm not going to make stuff up, Tommy.

Speaker 9 (27:47):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
That's great. That's a man of integrity right there. Traveon
Henderson is a guy that Michael f Florio, your partner
there at Fantasy Live.

Speaker 9 (27:57):
He's been pounding the table for him week in and
week out, to.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
The point that I've been patted the table back and
say which week is it gonna be?

Speaker 9 (28:03):
Florio And he's like, it's this week coming up? Is
it this week coming up? With Antonio Gibson injured?

Speaker 14 (28:09):
You know what, that's a very interesting story because in
our NFL Fantasy Live league, Michael f Florio had an
opportunity to draft Treveon Henderson and passed on him, and
he fell to me. I drafted him. Don't let don't
let f Florio go out there and take Yeah, he
even swore on NFL Fantasy Live. But he also said

(28:29):
this week that he likes the Insiders better than Fantasy Live,
which I don't blame him, like I get it, but
at the same time, I do he's back. I do
think this is the week that Trevion Henderson is going
to be able to take over. Now, we thought coming
into this season there is going to be a two
pronged approach to this Patriots backfield. We've always seen this team,
especially in the year's past, run with two running backs.

(28:53):
That's just what they do. It's something that Josh McDaniels does.
Ramandre Stevenson will still have a role. I'm just anticipating
a bigger role for Trevion Henderson this week.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Get him into your lineups.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
The Bengals offense has been a frustrating watch this season.
Even when they had Joe Burrow, they weren't produced at
a high level. Then Jake Browning comes in, it's a
turnover face. Now it's Joe Flacco to you rank, what
is the impact on Jamar Chase from a fantasy perspective
with Flacco now throwing into the ball to him starting
Sunday in Green Bay.

Speaker 14 (29:22):
Yeah, we did see Jamar Chase crop up on the
injury report with an illness, but I guess playing for
Cincinnatis making a lot of people ill these days. But
still I think that when you are Joe Flacco and
you want to continue to play football and be a
starter in the league.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
It's very easy, do you.

Speaker 14 (29:38):
Here's the game plan, who's number one and who's where's
number five?

Speaker 9 (29:42):
Throw them to football.

Speaker 14 (29:43):
I know MIKEASICKI probably walked up to him at some
point like, hey, my name's dayd On.

Speaker 10 (29:48):
I don't care, sir, I'm just.

Speaker 14 (29:49):
Here to throw the ball to Jamar Chase.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
And t Higgins.

Speaker 14 (29:52):
Perhaps we'll get it to Chase out of the Chase
Brann out of the backfield. But still, I think that
this is a good opportunity for Jim Chase. I know
last week he scored a pair of touchdowns after not
scoring only one in his first four games, So this
should be big for Jamar Chase.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Mac Jones unlocked Kendrick Bourne last Thursday against the Rams.
Mac Jones we believe going to be starting again for
the forty and Energy listed as questionable with a couple
of injuries there. What will Bourne's identity be in the
second game with mac Jones? Will it be a supreme
performance or must I issue an ultimate I can't make

(30:31):
this happen.

Speaker 14 (30:32):
You're doing well, you know you're doing great. I thought
you were going to start referencing Moby as well, because
every time I think of the Bourne identity, I think
of those great Moby tracks.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
But I really like Kendrick Bord.

Speaker 14 (30:41):
As a matter of fact, as I was sitting here
waiting to come on, I just picked up Kendrick Bourne
in a league where I'm going to be starting him
this week, going up in a somewhat tough of a matchup.
I think that Tampa Bay is a pretty good team,
although last week they gave up a lot of productions
to all the Seahawks receivers. So I think you can
go out there and be a viable fantasy option for you.

(31:03):
He's gonna get the volume, and I think that's the
biggest thing. Like anytime that you're in this kind of
a tough stretch, I have Ricky Pierce all in ever
his spots, I had drafted, Malik Neighbors, all sorts of seedy.
Lamb's gonna be out likely he's doubtful. So this is
somebody again, what you're looking for in this instance is
somebody who's gonna get the volume. Kendrick Bourne's Kendrick Burn

(31:24):
appears to be the guy, and it probably not be
in extreme ways, but it'll be in some ways bild
the left.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
McCaffrey shifts out from under center.

Speaker 9 (31:32):
Mac Shoe's takes Kenny.

Speaker 10 (31:34):
It's a touchdown, touchdown, forty nine ers on the opening
drive of the game. A couple of penalies and they
can't be stopped. Love to match on McCaffrey's gut.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Right now, mac sholl's throws mccaf.

Speaker 7 (31:48):
He's got a touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, forty niners and it's
a two story lead here early on the second quarter.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
Forty nine Ers quarterback Mac Jones turning in a legendary
performance for the shorthanded forty nine ers on Thursday Night
football against their rivals in the LA Rams to help
San Francisco improve to four and one. And now we
are joined by a legendary forty nine er Pro Football
Hall of Famer, ten time Pro Bowler, four time Super

(32:23):
Bowl champion, Ronnie Love. That sure is a mouthful to
welcome you, but thank you for joining us here on
the insiders.

Speaker 9 (32:28):
Ronnie, thank you, thank you very much.

Speaker 6 (32:31):
And yeah, it was a mouthful, but I'll be the
first one to tell you, you know, I'll.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Take that.

Speaker 10 (32:38):
Well.

Speaker 8 (32:38):
We can also say you're easily one of the best
players in the history of the NFL, certainly arguably one
of the greatest safeties of all time, one of the
hardest hitters of all time. How do you like to
describe your career looking back now?

Speaker 6 (32:51):
I like to describe my career, and it's really simple, man.
I was part of a great group of people. Man.
I was part of a great group of guys that
when I joined the forty nine ers, especially in our
first year, you know, and I think of the guys
that I played with, Eric Wright, Carlton Williamson, and Dwight Hicks.
It's all about team and it's all about those guys.

(33:14):
And what I remember about all of us was that
we were committed to being the best that we can be.

Speaker 8 (33:22):
I think when we look back on your career, some
of these highlights here, some of those big hard hits.
There's Icky Woods in the Super Bowl. A lot of
these hits running in today's game would be clean. And
I think a lot of people say that some of
these hard hitters from yesteryear couldn't survive in today's game.
But your game looks like it would have been transferable, adaptable.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
What do you say to that sort of statement.

Speaker 6 (33:45):
Well, I'll be the first one tell you I might
have been a little bit on the edge there, but
I think one of the great things about sport is
like you realize that there's always a target, and you
also realize that in that target that you're trying to
do your purpose. And what does that mean? The purpose
is trying to get the guy down. One of the

(34:07):
great things that I recognized early on. I had a
chance to be around people like Deacon Jones, and you know,
and you start to understand what their philosophy was about,
you know, getting people down and taking them down. And
I think, you know, it's the courage. It's the courage
of understanding that you know you have a purpose, and

(34:30):
your purpose of being able to dedicate yourself to making
the play.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
And when you look back at the twenty twenty five
forty nine ers, the forty nine ers of this era,
you have to look at a guy like Fred Warner
who plays the game as ferociously as you did. He's
become a potential future Hall of Famer, certainly one of
the greatest forty nine er linebackers to ever play. What
do you admire about Fred Warner's game and his impact
on today's forty nine Ers defense.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
I love his intelligence, and what I love about that
intelligence is that it's the idea of understanding that I
see you before you see yourself. And I think a
lot of times when you're playing the game, you got
to see everything before you see the opportunity. And I

(35:19):
think what Fred does, he does a wonderful job of,
as you can see here, getting to the ball and
attacking the defender and attacking him in a way where
he's getting him down. He knows that he's got a purpose.
He's trying to find a way to pop out the football.
He's constantly trying to find a way to make sure

(35:39):
that he can create turnovers, and to me, that's the
ultimate of the game. I mean a lot of times
when I look at Fred, I'm jealous because I wish
that I had had the technique of being able to
knock out the football.

Speaker 8 (35:54):
An awesome player. You can see the forty nine Ers.
They're sixth in scoring so far this year. They lost
Nick Bosa earlier this year, they lost a player like
Dre Greenwain and Tellano Whu Funga in the offseason, but
yet they are still one of the league's best. What
are you seeing from this group of forty nine ers.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Well, they're hungry, and I think what the coach has
done coming back is he said, hey, look, guys, I
left you, but I want to teach you that we
still have to be hungry. And I think being hungry
especially on the defense. You know, the tough part about
the forty nine ers is it's always about the offense.

(36:34):
It's going to always be around this idea that the
offense matters. And yet when I think about the forty
nine ers, I was just talking to Archie Reeves this
morning and I was sitting there talking to him and
I was saying, hey, do you remember the play you
made and you stop some guy, some big full back,
and he goes, yeah, I remember that moment. I know

(36:56):
that moment. I lived that moment, loved that moment. But
the point I'm making is it was that moment that
Archie showed all of us that is doable. And I
think what's great about sports is that when you have
moments like that in your life that it's doable and
that you can make an impact, that you can be

(37:18):
a Super Bowl winner, which we were as rookies.

Speaker 9 (37:22):
Yes, it's doable.

Speaker 6 (37:24):
And I think what I would tell you, man, is
Fred Warner is saying it's doable. And by the way,
he's doing a great job of taking away to football
And I tell you to me, it's an art that
he has mastered.

Speaker 10 (37:38):
And I love that about him.

Speaker 8 (37:40):
Yeah, Robert Sala, Fred Warner certainly impacting the forty nine
ers defense, You've been impacting coaches and the sports world
off the field here in California. Part of the Governor's
Advisory Council for Physical Fitness and Mental well Being, part
of the twenty five by twenty five California Coaches challenged,
what can you tell us about that program running and
what its aim is here in the twenty twenty five year.

Speaker 6 (38:03):
Well, first of all, when you think about impacting young people,
it starts with coaching. And if you can get all
the coaches, which we did an incredible job of getting
all these coaches from California to understand their purpose, their
purpose of teaching people. You know, we're getting ready to
go see Ray Roads, one of the great coaches, and

(38:26):
Ray Rhodes would always talk to us about how we
could get better, the things that we can do to
show ourselves that we have a chance to be better people.
And what I loved about Ray was that Ray always
talked about being a better person, a better human being.
And to me, what I love is that this situation

(38:49):
and knowing all the coaches that we impacted, knowing that
we were able to find a way to make sure
that all these coaches are going to be able to
have the resource is to change the way that they
talk to people and the way that they talk to
young people. And to me, what I love about that
is that coaching is essential for everything that we do

(39:11):
in our lives.

Speaker 9 (39:12):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 6 (39:15):
Our members fly with Merilin Olsen and we were flying
and with the Blue Angels, and we said there we
had to learn from the coach who is the pilot,
and the pilot was saying, hey, this is what we
got to get done, and we were sitting there going, really,
he goes, that's what we got to get done because
of him coaching us. Him teaching us, it told us

(39:37):
about the moment and it told us about the purpose
of what he was trying to do. Again, man, coaching
is phenomenal, and we can get more coaches to participate
in helping young people which were in flag football right
now is amazing and it's dominating. I'm a Toyota dealer,
and right a way, Toyota has done a true a

(39:59):
tremendous job of helping young girls play the game of football.

Speaker 8 (40:05):
Yeah, it's awesome to see. I have ten nine and
five year old daughters. I help coach their teams and
certainly lessons that we can apply. The best coaches are
the best teachers, obviously a huge part of life. Ronnie Lott,
thank you so much for joining us here on the
Insiders and good luck to the rest of the season
with the coaches program and also your former forty nine ers.

Speaker 6 (40:27):
You know what, and I can tell you this man.
Can you imagine if they go to the Super Bowl
this year in San Francisco own game.

Speaker 9 (40:39):
That's a who moment. It could happen, So I'm looking
forward to it.

Speaker 8 (40:44):
Yeah, you came close playing at Stanford Stadium in one
of your Super Bowls, so let's see if they can
actually play in Levi's stadium. Ronnie Lott, thank you very
much again for your time here today.

Speaker 10 (40:54):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Damn Scannaboo has arrived as a budding NFL are, but
now he needs a new shirt. We'll explain after this
it's see Insiders, presented by Progressive Insurance. We had six

(41:32):
years as a New York Giant. Mike, I'm not sure
as a local legend goes, he's done more than cam Scatta,
who has done in six games doing dear himself, the
Giants fan alphas, man alphas. I just can't help but think.
You know, Pitt's has like a rug going there. You're

(41:52):
kind of sweaty.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Is it sticking to you? See you Monday,
