Speaker 1 (00:01):
Happy Monday, everyone, and welcome Inside with the Insiders, a
Monday podcast edition along with Ian Rappaport and Judy Batista.
I am Tom Pellicero every Monday. This is how we
do the show. There's so many games to talk about.
Plus we've got a pregame show that takes our normal
insider slot on NFL Network when we are here with you.
(00:24):
The show also airs on fast streaming platforms on the
NFL channel after Monday Night Football. Of course, you can
always catch it on the podcast, you can catch it
on YouTube. However, you're joining us right now, we appreciate
you being here. All right, A lot to unpack from Sunday,
but let's start out with a couple of key quarterback
injuries Ian, including the one that we saw with the
Washington Commanders Jade and Daniels going into the medical tent.
(00:48):
It was an ugly looking play. Certainly seemed optimistic when
he came out and flashday thumbs up in his mother's direction.
But what do we know about Jade daniels status both
short and longer here?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
First of all, on the like flashing the thumbs up
to the mom, I know that like sort of seems
like not a big deal. But like that was the
first indication when Nick Bose had his injury. Even with
Kyle Shanahan being like, we think it's okay, we think
it's not torn the thumbs down to the family.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I was like, okay, oh yeah, it's bad. So this
seems to be pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
My understanding is it is a Grade one hamstring strain
that puts his status up in the air for Monday
Night day to day is what I believe the team
is gonna call him.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
So this means we essentially.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Don't unfortunately but don't know very much right now about
his status. It's gonna be no injury report until Thursday.
We're probably not gonna know until maybe even Saturday or Friday,
whether or not.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
He can practice.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
And I think, look, it's a possibility that Marcus Mariota
plays this week.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
It's gonna depend on how he feels.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
It's gonna depend on whether or not he can reinjure himself,
and it's gonna depend on whether or not j Daniels
wants to get himself out there for a nationally televised
Monday night game in Airhead against Patrick Mahomes, Like, you know,
going to want to get himself going to want to
get its not gonna want.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
To But hamstrings, as we know well Judy, you know,
those are things that you can aggravate and you can
end up being out a lot longer or even if
it's something that lingers that there's a real risk and
reward that goes into these things. We've also seen Marcus Mariota,
albeit when they had receivers as opposed to now when
they do not go out there and be able to
(02:32):
lead Washington pretty competently well.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
And hamstrings, particularly for a player like him, are really important, right.
I mean, he moves and he is a weapon with
his legs. So listen, I mean this is always we
always say it comes down to the medical people.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
I mean they're going to have to go ahead in
your raising.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
No sorry, no, I was listening to what you're saying first.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Oh, but I mean it's going to come down to
what the doctors say, and then they're going to I mean,
you know, he is going to push to play, especially
in a game like this, you know, and they're going
to have to make a decision on can he make
it worse and would that mean a longer absence?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
You know, these are such complicated, such complicated.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Decisions, Judy, I didn't mean to cut you off. I
was listening to what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I was just gonna know I did.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
I was just gonna say I was going to jump
in and talk about kind of something that reminded me
of the Arizona Cardinals last week. So when Drew Petsing,
the offensive coordinator, went up there and was like, well,
we were, you know, preparing similar game plans for Jacoby
Brissett and Kyler Murray. But Kyler ended up sitting and
Jacoby ended up starting. I think people may be misunderstood
(03:39):
that what he meant was when you have a foot
injury and you're a mobile quarterback, you're not as mobile.
So the game plan is basically preparing for a quarterback
who's goodness stay in the pocket and not as mobile.
So if Jaden goes out and plays, he probably plays
as a quarterback that's not as mobile as he otherwise
would be, which obviously does change the game plan, which
(04:00):
like you know, in a little bit, that takes away
kind of his like superpower, but also is he better
than Marcus Mariota fully healthy?
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Like actually an interesting football question too.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Meanwhile, the Panthers, who are red hot now three consecutive wins.
As they fell behind seventeen to nothing in that game
a couple of weeks ago and roared back. They looked
really good, but now they're dealing with injury as well.
Bryce Young suffered what I am told is a high
ankle sprain. Dave can Alice said in his press conference
they are going day today. From what I am told,
(04:32):
I would be shocked if Bryce Young is out there
this week, which means Andy Dalton going up against the
Bills and then Judy we get into, you know, sort
of those stages of the high ankle sprain. JJ McCarthy
suffered one back in week two and still has not
yet gotten back on the field. It doesn't sound like
this one is severe. This is more like the two
to four week type of variety. Bryce Young has shown
(04:52):
that he's a fast healer. But if you go to
an Andy Dalton, who of course, you know, has a
long history of playing winning important games in the AFC,
to be interesting to see exactly how they kind of
maneuver things around that, especially since they're already a run
dominant offense.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
I mean, Andy Dalton is probably one of the best
backup quarterbacks in the NFL. I mean, if you have
to be in this position, Andy Dalton's a pretty good
person to have there with you.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
And this is another case where they're going to have
to determine first.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Of all, can he could it get worse and could
he then have to miss longer period of time? And
also how effective is he going to be? Again, Andy
Dalton is a pretty good backup quarterback, And so if
you have to have Bryce Young at one hundred percent,
do you wait a little bit longer? Especially if Andy
Dolton is giving you a good performance. I mean this
(05:44):
sort of goes back to I know we're going to
get to San Francisco in a second, but like San
Francisco is sort of the same thing.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
I mean, obviously they.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Want brock Purty is their guy, but it really helps
when your backup quarterback is.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
Playing like Mac Jones is.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
It gives you all the pushion you could possibly hope
for as you're making decisions when to bring a player
back from injury. So that's sort of the situation that
might confront Carolina assuming Dalton plays well.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Yeah, And as far as the Brace Young timeline, I mean,
we'll see how long he's eventually out. This was the
same ankle that he heard two years ago, and I
believe a similar sort of injury, and he missed one
game and then it was back the next game, which
I think was early if I remember correctly, which was earlier.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Than a lot of people thought. The crazy thing, well,
there's two crazy things.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
One that it's week seven and we're talking about the
Carolina Panthers in a way that's like meaningful, Like that's
actually really cool, and I know we all have relationships
over there, so like personally it's cool because those guys
have done a really good job, but also like they've
tried so hard to build and build it right and
build like both sides of the line and just have
(06:49):
an infrastructure that's strong. And now they may lose their
starting quarterback for a week or maybe more. And I
don't want to talk for everyone else, but it feels
like they're sort of okay because they can run the
heck out of the ball and their defense is pretty good.
So like, either way, I don't think it's like, well,
if Bryce goes down their toast, it's like, well, they
could probably withstand this, which is a major progress for
(07:10):
that organization.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
This is also why they wanted to bring Andy Dalton back,
why they didn't want to trade him when other quarterback
things were popping up around the league. And now, barring
a shock, he's going to be out there starting to
what is suddenly a very big game for them, going
up against the Bills. Did you mentioned the forty nine ers?
Still no, Brock Purdy aggravated that toe when he tried
to get back on the field in Week four, that
was missed the last three games. Lo and behold ian
(07:34):
once again, we've got Mac Jones playing good enough football
and the defense. We'll talk more about the quarterbacks, but
the defense with what they're working with without Fred Warner,
without Nick Bosa, that they're playing all these new guys
and somehow Robert Sala has them playing at a high
enough level and they took a Falcons offense that the
(07:55):
whole debate around them this week was is b John
Robinson the best player in the NFL? Like Rahem Morrisky saying,
and held him to ten points? That's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
That's pretty good. I mean, it's well, there's a lot
here now. First of all, like.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
The forty nine ers have kind of ruined it for
everyone because they really have. Because everyone has injuries, and
it's very easy to be like, well, you know, we
have these injuries and you know, therefore not winning, and
then it's like the forty nine ers have all of
the injuries and they're still like is it always pretty No?
But they're really doing like they they have done an
(08:29):
incredible job. Somebody named Bethune is starting in place of
Fred Warner and has done as doing quite well, and
I think played pretty well last night from what I
remember when I was trying to fight off sleep late
into the night. Robert Sala was the former Jets head coach.
Since he's left, they have gone somehow worse, and I
(08:50):
think he's positioning himself to be a head coach again,
not just because he's a very good defensive coordinator, though
he is, but also because he's helped them withstand a lot.
I mean, this is a we'll see what happens when
they got back back in there and Brock parties are
starting quarterback again, and it sounds like that could be
coming very very soon. But they have weathered this storm
(09:12):
in a way that I don't think anyone anticipated, and
you know, pretty pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
I would say, well, and what are they going to
look like when they're I mean, they're not going to
be intact on defense, but presumably they're going to get
people back on offense. I mean, they got George Kittle back,
and obviously they're going to get purty.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
I mean the.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Defense isn't I mean, they're they've lost their two best
players and they're really good.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
They're just so they're so.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Solid, and they're so well coached, and I mean, I
don't is it sustainable over the course of a seventeen
game season. We'll see, but I mean they would appear
to be at their I mean, knock on wood. You
hope they're not going to suffer any more injuries because
they've suffered enough injuries for the entire season two seasons already.
But like they seem if you assume that they are
(10:00):
not going to suffer a more catastrophic injuries like they've
already suffered, I mean, they're weathering what should be the
worst part of the season with so many players out.
You would think it's only going to go up from
here as they get people back. It's super impressive.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
And brought perdy Is in reference here too. It sounds
like this is the best chance that he's had so
far to get back onto the field. The key thing is,
though he's yet to go through a full practice, and
everybody's goal involved, from Brock to the forty nine ers
is just don't have this thing linger. In other words,
if there's anything that's still there that's an issue, just
continue to hold Hi back because they're in a position
(10:38):
where they're showing that they can win with mac Jones,
but there's no quarterback controversy brought Perty as their guy.
They have paid him. It's just a matter of one
exactly is one hundred percent, and they feel like he's
not at risk of another setback like what happened last time.
We also had one of the weirder and wilder games
at least fourth quarters of the entire season yesterday between
(11:00):
the Broncos and the Giants. This is why Judy I
have given up or I try to remind myself, never
live tweet anything, Never make bold proclamations about you know
exactly where a team is going. You have to go
back and listen. I appreciate the aggressiveness. You know, we're
not familiar with everything that goes into play calling and strategy.
(11:21):
But it felt like the Giants, even after the Broncos
scored that first touched on, they're still in control until
the interception Jackson Dart throws in his own category as
brilliant as he had been, impressive as he had been
on the road in that environment up until that point,
that felt like, oh boy, this is this potentially could
turn pretty quickly here.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Yes, up until that point, I kept thinking, it's still
a three score lead, right, it's still a two score
And then the interception happened and it was like, ooh,
like that's potentially really bad, Like they can now go quickly,
and now you're tightening things up. And still even until
(12:01):
really until the Broncos first took the lead, I did
not believe that the Giants were actually going to lose
the game. Like I just thought like, there's no come on,
this is ridiculous. Then when they came back and scored
the touchdown, right when Jacksondr dies for the touchdown and
gets over, I'm like, holy cow, they have pulled it out.
This is amazing. And then they lose it. It was
(12:23):
the wildest if that had to be the most gut
wrenching way for the Giants to lose imaginable because they
didn't just I'm not even sure that if you weren't
watching the game and you just maybe saw the highlights
and you see the score, I don't think people understand
how dominating the Giants were for most of the game.
They completely controlled the game, completely controlled the game that
(12:47):
Broncos were completely unable to do anything on offense, and
then like this, it just turned.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
I mean, it is a tough I will say this.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
Our buddy Steve Politi from The Star Ledger in New
Jersey posted this right at the end, and he's that
was an inexcusable loss.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
It's a terrible loss.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Somehow, I still came out of it feeling better about
the Giants than I did going into it like that,
because I feel better about Jackson Darth. He's they've got
a guy. They got camp scattered boot like, they've got pieces.
Some of the guys on defense were playing out of
their minds. They were obviously gassed at the end, But like, strangely,
as gut wrenching as that loss was, like I sort
(13:28):
of feel like Giants are going to be okay.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
It may take a while.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
They got to work through all of the quarterback mistakes
that come along with having a rookie quarterback, but they
might be okay.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
The other thing too, like sometimes we lose track of
this in the game flow here. But the Giants, evens
as good as they were, they lost Javon Holland in
that game, and then Paulsonadebo also got banged up. So
it's like, man, how did the Broncos also start throwing
it all over? Will you lose probably your two best
dbs or two of your best DB's that's going to
have an impact to you.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, a couple of things I thought watchin first fault,
Like you guys know, I like horse racing, and this
seemed to be to be a horse race where like
a team jumps out, you know, jumps out in the lead,
is in the lead all the way, and everyone who's
bet on that horse is like we got this. Everyone's
high five, and and then you can just watch the
horse's strides get tighter and tighter and get more tired
(14:19):
like that.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Giants defense offense too.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
By the end, they were just they were just tired,
like they had that like I know this the thin air.
They had nothing left. The other thing was two sort
of like quibbles. I would say with the way the
Giants attacked it the last Jackson d interception, you know,
run the ball, force the Broncos to call time out,
like play the clock would have been up, you know,
(14:42):
two scores with five minutes to go.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Punting like that would have helped.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
The other thing is, you know the decision on like
Jackson dart is at the goal line, he dives to
the goal line. Should you have run clock at that
point rather than try to score knowing they could come back? Like,
I don't know the right answer. I've always been like,
just go and don't worry about it. I've talked to
a lot of football people today and they all tell
me I'm wrong. So it seems the league is more like, hey,
(15:08):
they should have killed the clock there and tried to
score a little bit later, but obviously hindsight is sort
of twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Or just don't miss the extra point with that multiple
extra points. More from the insiders after this, let's talk
(15:39):
about the Colts. For reasons that we have not talked
about the Colts seven weeks into the season in quite
some time. Yesterday they went into La and as much
as I think there's a lot of people who keep
waiting for Okay, here's where they'll go back. Here's where
they're going to regress, Here's where they're going to show
(15:59):
who they really are are they don't do it. It
is not an overstatement to say in any way that
in a year where there's not a true Judy dominant
elite team, no one's undefeated. No one's been undefeated in
a couple of weeks. Some of the teams we expected
to be really good, like the Bills and the Ravens,
have struggled recently. The Chiefs struggled earlier in the season.
(16:20):
The Colts have played as well wired to wire as
anybody in the league. Is it time for us to
be talking about is this a Colts team that can
make a Super Bowl run?
Speaker 4 (16:31):
I want to admit that I'm one of those people
who keeps thinking like, Okay, rightly, they have to sort
of start coming back to the pat right Yeah, I
think we have to think they are legit.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
First of all, they are.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
They might be the most balanced team in the league.
They are top ten in scoring, offense, and defense. Right
They've got this tremendous running attack. Daniel Jones does not
make mistakes I mean, they're not turning the ball over.
They don't take a ton of sacks, they barely punt,
(17:04):
so they are It's just listen.
Speaker 5 (17:08):
It's just remarkable.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
I all credit to them and the work they've done
with Daniel Jones and rebuilding his confidence. Certainly, some of
that I think happened after he left the Giants and
went to the Vikings, Like that was part of the rehabilitation.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Of Daniel Jones. But he looks like an entirely different player, right.
He is just so at ease. And maybe it was.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
New York that like just did him in, but like
he looks so confident, so at easy.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
They have confidence in him.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
The running game is powerful, the defense is playing well.
I mean, they are just a really well balanced team
and they keep winning.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
I agree that.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
I'm sort of like, I mean, really, are they going
to be the top seed in the AFC? I mean,
I think the Chiefs are common, don't get me wrong,
but like, how can you discount the cults We're you know,
we're almost halfway through the season and they're still doing this.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
It's not a fluke anymore.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
By the way, if that happens, if they are the
top seed in the AFC, whoever they play. First of all,
I'm sure it'll be like in the Saturday afternoon game.
Second of all, everyone's going to pick them to lose.
I'm just I mean one hundred percent. It'll be like
on all the pregame shows and it'll be like everyone
will pick the Colt to lose, no doubt about it.
They are They are interesting because like you do wonder
(18:26):
like is this real?
Speaker 3 (18:27):
And I think we've seen both Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
As we've seen the Daniel Jones who took the Giants
to the playoffs and then the other guy who almost
got everybody fired.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
This seems to be the good one. They're getting coached extremely.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Well, and like I asked a couple of people just
to take a look at their roster and be like,
how good are they?
Speaker 3 (18:45):
And most of the people I've talked to are kind
of like they're good. They're good, Like they're they're good, but.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
They're not like like everyone would take the Ravens roster
over the Colt Frost or you know, there's plenty of
other examples. They're just they're so well coached and they're
so basic and solid everywhere that they just are in
every game because they don't make a lot of mistakes
and if they play well, they blow teams out.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
I think, yeah, shouldn't short change the Colt Troster, the leader.
I know, I know exactly what you're saying. Like the names, especially,
can the average fan name three players not named Jonathan
Taylor or Daniel Jones on the entire team? And I
would guess the average person even still the sixty one.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Their secondary they're linebackers, like maybe a couple, but like who,
and especially because there've been some injured now, like who.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Maluana Rumo's done a heck of a job, you know,
every single week. I think that we all knew. I mean,
he didn't have great talent in Cincinnati either, so it's
an upgrade when at least you've got you know, DeForest
Buckner and you got Leatu Latu. But yeah, they're they're
straining it together linebackers and the dbs. You know, it's
been kind of a lot of moving parts at those
positions here, you know, offensively, we go back to what
(19:56):
happened in the offseason. First of all, Daniel Jones is
the signing of the entire off at this point, based
upon where they got him from. But also you know,
even the back and forth, well you got to see
things through with Anthony Richardson. You drafted him in at
number four. People who are in the know always said
it's probably Daniel Jones, and why because at least you
know what you're going to get from him. Anthony Richardson
(20:19):
might scare the opponent, but he also scares his own coaches.
Daniel Jones is just there and he allows everybody else
to show off that the rest of the roster, especially
on offense, is pretty good in Indianapolis. So we'll continue
to see how far they can they can take this thing.
But right now six and one and going into a
place like La and beating the Chargers, you have to
(20:39):
say they deserve to be talked about among the at
least the AFC's best. The Chiefs, they are definitely coming,
as you said, Judy, there's no doubt about it. And
a big reason for that is the return of Rashi Rice.
And every year, you know, there's probably some bumps in
the road where you know, all right, is this where
the Chiefs are falling off?
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Whatever?
Speaker 1 (20:59):
This year? Really look, those first few games were rough,
especially offensively, but then you remember Javior Worthy gets hurt
in the first game on the first series, and he
was the centerpiece of the game plan. No where, she writes, Oh,
it turns out getting back two of the more dynamic
weapons in the NFL helps you out offensively, especially when Judy.
(21:19):
You've got the best quarterback that I've probably ever seen
in my life now.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Right, and he meeting Patrick was playing well all along, right,
I mean, he's the leading rusher on the team, which
is crazy. But listen, the next time somebody at the
beginning of the season wants to write off the Chiefs,
can we just remember like not to join in that corus,
Like it's just ridiculous, Like Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes
(21:45):
will figure it out, especially when there are significant absences.
So now they've got two of the most dynamic playmakers
on the team back on the roster.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
Kelsey looks good.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
I mean, Kelsey looks rejuvenated, rejuvenated.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Right that album came out and everything changed.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
It was a very upbeat album.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
He looks really good.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
And Mahomes looks I mean, he's just Patrick Mahomes. So yeah,
they are not dead. As a matter of fact, they are.
If you're in the a f C. I think you're
probably looking over your shoulder and saying like they're gaining honest.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, and I think you know them sort of treading
water and waiting for the cavalry to come back. You
know that that has proved to be something like it's
almost like they knew what they're talking about. And you know,
the other thing I would sort of argue is like
going through this stuff, oh interesting to going to take
(22:44):
all the first team snaps from the Dolphins this week,
which sort of eliminates that question, but I'm sure there'll
still be questions more on that. I'm sure in a
second with our good friend Cam, But I feel like
the Chiefs having being forced to throw to guys that
are not their best players for a couple of weeks
has really, in the same way that Jackson Dart's going
to benefit from not having the league neighbors, forces everyone
(23:05):
just go back to basics and find the open guy
and forces everyone else to play well, and I think
will benefit them in the long run. But yes, I mean,
the culture obviously good. The Chiefs are still the Chiefs,
so until they stopped being the Chiefs, I think they're
still going to be the Chiefs real quick too.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
The Eagles Vikings game yesterday, which probably went roughly If
you were guessing what the Carson Wentz attempted revenge game
would look like, it would probably be some good bunch
of missed opportunities and a damaging pick six like that
probably would have been kind of the Bengo card that
a lot of people would have predicted. Here Onz has
played pretty well. The Eagles, at least the passing attack
(23:41):
got back on track. The running game kind of remains
still stops and starts seeing but now the Eagles get
potentially it sounds like it's happening. Brandon Graham back in
the mix, which is really interesting. Forget the defense, just
from a cultural perspective, that seems like a significant moment
for Philly.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah, So we had a story that we post on
NFL dot com and in that in this part penned
by our good friend Mike Garrifolo, points out the which
what is it like the ambassadorship that Brandon Graham also
holds in that locker room, Like definitely is the dude
to make sure.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
That everyone's on the same page.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
And by everyone, I just me and aj Brown and
Jalen Hurts and maybe Saquon two, all of them who
did or did not take part in an alleged team
meeting that may or may not have happened in the
parking lot for many many hours.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Just because it's in a park that it doesn't mean
it's not a team meeting.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Yeah, I don't from yeah, whether whether or not one
recalls or one does not.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
So I think Brandon Graham will give him some help
on the edge.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Eagles could still use some corner help and maybe some
more edge help. But like Brandon Graham is a guy
that you know, if you believe in locker room togetherness.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
And you believe in the leadership, and you believe.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
That it's not just a random collection of players playing
on a field and making individual plays, I think he
is going to help immensely. And the fact that Howie
Roseman and the Eagles brass know it and see it
and you know, enacted all of this, even though it
sort of a little bit admits that maybe the roster
(25:12):
didn't have everything they thought.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
I think this is really really going to help them.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
He's a glue guy, right, That's what He's a glue guy,
and that it feels like that's what that team needs.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
Right now.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
They've got tons of talent, tons of talent, especially on
the offense.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
But they need yeah, they need they need more of this.
They haven't had much of that and they need that.
And he can do that.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
And Mike brought it up. I remember after the Week
one game that you know, when Jalen Carter spits on
Dak Prescott and gets thrown out. It was normally that's
Brandon Graham's job. He walks around talkings back to the
other team. Now brand Graham can actually go back to
being that guy.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Instead of doing it on TV and showing up with
hats that he's not allowed to wear.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
And Good Morning Football.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
There is that vikings on a short week. Their quarterback
situation still up in the air. Seems like it's probably
Carson Wentz against There's just not a lot of reps
out there for JJ McCarthy. We'll talk a lot more
about everything else around the NFL. You're listening to the podcast.
This is a two parter every Monday, so go over
to part two to pick this up. If you are
on YouTube or watching the Fast Channel, stick around Cam
(26:14):
the Wolf will be with us talk about the Dolphins.
We'll talk about the Panthers again, plus the Jets quarterback
situation that seems to keep getting weirder like a Parsons
Big Day, a whole lot more for Ian Judy. I'm
Toasia then,
