Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy Bunday everyone, and welcome inside with the Insider's alongside
and Rappaport and Mike Garafollo. I am Tom Pellicero. Jane
Slater will we join us in just a few minutes.
She like, we have awakened after the late night game
that ended in a tie, as we do every Monday,

(00:21):
because we've got a pregame show on NFL and.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
We all watched every bit of it.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I did. I made it actually all the way until
the end. I wanted to see how it ended.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
We're on NFL Networks MBM Eastern time Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
We're on the Fast Channel Thursdays or on YouTube every day.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Mondays is very special though, because we do a podcast
breaking down all the news, all the games, everything we
saw from what is this week the fourth Sunday of
the NFL season, And again we will get to last
night the Cowboys and Packers game that everyone was looking
forward to and everyone.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Kind of walked off the field and I'm sure shut off.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
The TV, like, ah, all right, we'll talk about that,
but let's it up by getting too some news because
we had some significant injuries on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
None bigger ian than Malik.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Neighbors suffering a torn ACL, an injury that cast a
paul over what should have.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Been a triumphant type of day in New York. Jackson
Dart makes his debut. You beat a good Chargers team
at home.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
The juice is back in the building.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
But you look at this play.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
As soon as we saw that right knee buckle, you
kind of had a bad feeling about it here, And
now the tests have confirmed we won't Seemlik neighbors Ian
again in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Yeah, we should definitely keep showing it because it's definitely
less horrifying each time.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
You're right.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
I mean, you saw it go down, you saw the
knee buckle, and then you see the knee kind of
like just swing as he's hitting the ground, and you're like,
you know, like obviously you check, you double check, you
talk to sources, you report on it, and knowing what
you know. But I also think that was one where
like as soon as you saw it, everyone's like, that's
obviously a major injury. It is a torn ACL. It

(01:59):
is out for the season. It is a truly significant
and awful blow for the New York Giants. Is one
of their best players. He's one of the most exciting players.
He's one of the biggest and best and most important
targets for their quarterback, who you're right, played well, certainly
had his moments. I think gave some excitement to the
building and to the organization, something they have been dying for.

(02:21):
But you know, to lose neighbors, I would say, stings. Now,
there's no way, Mike to like make this sound good.
It's all bad, right, Like, there's there's really no positivity.
But if you can try to find some sort of
semblance of optimism or something like that.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Here it is. This is my cell, you guys ready,
here it is.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Without a dominant receiver, it's going to force Jackson Dark
to look at the whole field and only throw to
the open guy rather than try to get the ball
to one guy. Plus, it's going to help develop some
of the other younger, really good receivers like Wanda Robinson,
who may or may not be on my fantasy team
and who has shown some signs of progress and excitement.

(03:01):
That's my heart cell.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
How did I do?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Mike yet on mute there, Buddy, Now Dan on mute
all right, Mike is stuck on mute. We'll get back
to him momentarily here if we can figure out the
micro five Mike on do we have no he's going
to sign out.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Okay, let's talk about another injury to Ian.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
And this was a kind of a curious one because
Lamar Jackson comes out of the game third quarter yesterday.
It's obviously you know, at that point it's pretty apparent
that nothing is going to go right for the Ravens
on this day. When you talk about the chief side
of this too, they played really well, but with.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Lamar there was no initial injury announcement.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Then the league said, or the team said, it's a
hamstring and he's questionable. If it is indeed a hamstring,
that is certainly something that for a player who plays
the style Ian that Lamar Jackson does, you would say
that this could put him down for a little bit.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Here.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
What we don't know is based on the game situation.
Was this more about the hamstring or was this more
about this game's out of hand. If he's feeling anything,
let's not bother putting the league or a two times
league MVP on the field.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
Well, I would say, like any injury designation, it was
a cross between it from what I can tell a
coach's decision at an injury. Now, first of all, as
far as the results of the injury, it sounds like
all of the Ravens soft tissue guys, which would be
Marlon Humphrey, which would be roque On Smith, which would
be Lamar Jackson, We're all considered to be minor and

(04:27):
week to week minor in week to week so formorrow
and I would expect him to miss maybe one or
two weeks. We'll see for Rokuan probably around there. For Lamar,
he's a quarterback, so you'd hope potentially less right, you'd
hope he'd be able to get in there and play
if he can't. Cooper Rush is certainly a capable backup.
We've seen him for the Dallas Cowboys. But this is

(04:51):
one where this feels like a sort of what do
you call it, like inflection point for the Ravens.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
They are one in three. Their defense has been bad.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
They you know, I think over the course of the
last couple of years when it comes to their young
and seems very bright defensive coordinator had to get him
some help, whether it's Dnp's or otherwise. You wonder if
that's you know coming now, Hey, guys, you want to

(05:26):
handle this. I want to stop here and talk about this.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yes, sou Brady News Giants owner John Marra just announced
I've recently been diagnosed with cancer and have been following
the treatment plan recommended by an outstanding team of doctors.
I'm feeling strong and optimistic, and I'm committed to seeing
this through to a positive outcome. Plan to remain active
with the team throughout my treatment, and I'm fortunate to

(05:51):
be surrounded by incredible support personally, professionally and medically. I
asked you respect my privacy and my family's privacy at
this time.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
That was quite, frankly, honestly, an unexpected interlude. It puts
things like torn acls and soft tissue injuries in perspective.
I think we all know. We all know John and
Mike is back with us. Probably spend more time around
John than than anybody. Always been an engaging guy, not

(06:23):
afraid to speak his mind, whether it is something he's
happy about or something he's not happy about. I I
personally have I've enjoyed my dealings with John through the years. Certainly,
our best wishes from everybody here at the insiders go
out to John the Mara family, Mike, if you're if
you're able to chime in here, please do Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Well, that's a lot of the process there.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
John is in old school, uh, throwback soul and and
a lot of times has resisted a lot of the
things that the NFL has done over the years, and
and been the voice of at times the fans with
the flex scheduling and the seventeenth and eighteenth game.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
At times he was he's been saying, you know, how
much is too much?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
And at times I can hear Wellington in what he says,
what John is saying, and and and Wellington was.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
A traditional Wellington walked out of the first meeting.

Speaker 6 (07:24):
Of the the Medlife Stadium planning uh and said, we
don't need this. They have the stadium we've got now
is fine. So I've always considered John a bridge between
the past and the present in the NFL and a
voice of reason in a lot of ways. And uh,
I know the franchise wins and losses have not been
there in recent years. And in this business, he knows

(07:45):
he's going to be criticized for.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
That when it's when it's not right.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
And I remember him saying that his mother, uh, that
that she was giving him crap when the team was
not competing recently. So to be away from the or
to be with the team, I guess it's going to
be a big part of this for honest, he's going
through this, and UH, he has always been a gentleman.
He has always been UH fair and honest and UH
a terrific owner in a lot of the ways that

(08:10):
I would want ownership to be.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
And with regard to his employees and his players.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
There's a saying in the building wants a giant, always
a giant, and they have they have operated that way,
uh in a lot of ways in long.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
And UH in large part because of of John and
his philosophy on things. So all that said, we wish
one of the more influential owners in the.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
League, and uh one of the more gentlemanly owners in
the league the best here as he goes through this processor.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
It was it was eight years ago this month that
my wife was diagnosed with cancer, and I remember the
the initial wave of fear and uncertainty, and it's it's
a frightening word to hear. You know, I'm very blessed.
My family's very blessed that she was able to come
through that. I think that there's one one lesson that

(09:00):
I learned through it. It's that, you know, modern medicine
is incredible and there's a lot of very capable people.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
I'm sure John will have the best of of medical care.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Who don't want to dive too much into specifics, you know,
beyond what he obviously said in the statement here, but
certainly John I I. John's going to have more important
things to do than listening to this podcast. But if
somehow he does see this, hear this, you know, from
all of us here, you know, we wish, we wish
him and his family absolutely the best.

Speaker 6 (09:30):
Welcome back to the Insiders. Jane Slater now joining us,
joining me. We've got we've got a lot of moving
parts today. Ian's on TV. You'll be rejoining us here shortly, Jane.
Forty to forty.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
That was the final score, right correctly, I mean, I
was I thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
A late night.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
It was early running into a late night. There's a
lot going on yesterday. It was an entertaining game. I
battled through it. Ian, if he were here, would admit
that he really didn't stay awake for the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I got a text at six thirty this morning. Wait
they ended at at tie.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
But the good thing is with NFL Plus you can
always catch up quickly on the games, and that's what
Ian did this morning. So having said all of that, Jane,
you were there live and in person, awake the whole time.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Take me through it.

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Start wor any I've got questions, but start wherever you
want on this one.

Speaker 7 (10:18):
Well, I thought it was interesting about this game was
we've had two games at AT and T Stadium so far, Mike,
we had the Giants game and we had this one.
As myself an ESPNS reporter. This time it was Lindsay theory.
We go down there with our crew because we're there
two minutes before kick, and then we go out in
the field and we get our player. Post game, I said,
oh my god, it's thirty seven to thirty seven, again.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
Identical to what the Giants game was.

Speaker 7 (10:44):
While we were standing in that tunnel, and Cowboys get
the first possession they had that ridiculous.

Speaker 8 (10:51):
It was a throw to Jalen Tolbert that was so insane.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
It was the toe tap there in overtime deep right path.
You can see me in the tunnel my face and going,
oh my gosh, I can't believe it got it. They
had no coverage on him. They had been targeting George
Pickens twice that night. And then he comes down with it,
and then it's Micah Parsons right there because he was
just a few yards off from the redne Micah Parsons

(11:17):
gets the stop, they have to kick the field goal,
and then the next drive, obviously Packers get their ball back.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
Matt Lafleur decides just to go ahead and kick it.

Speaker 7 (11:28):
And it felt like the air went out of the stadium.
I don't know about you. This is the first tie
that I've ever covered. A lot of the players, it
was a first for them too. I loved that people
are picking apart in my interview with George Pickens post game,
where he admitted, like many of us, well wait, how
does this work? Because in college we're used to you
just keep playing, you know the NFL. You each team

(11:50):
gets the one possession and then it's it's over. And
so he said he thought that you just kept like
over and over, and so that's how it kind of
went down. Kinny Clark said this was actually his second one.
The fact that he was with Minute, he was with
Green Bay when they played Minnesota. So you know, I said,
maybe this is Kenny Clark's fault, but just the series

(12:10):
of events at AT and T Stadium in their two
home games, and I just think it's unfortunate the two
teams that put up eighty points a defense that wildest
defense gave up forty points the Cowboys.

Speaker 8 (12:23):
I mean, the expectations are so low.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
They have the number one rated offense in the league
right now, the last rated defense, and they were able
to hang the way that they could with the Green
Bay Packers. And keep in mind, they were missing their
starting center in Cooper Bebee. They're missing their starting guard
in Tyler Booker. They lost Malee Cooker their safety in
the game, and still managed to come out of this
one with the tie.

Speaker 8 (12:45):
Didn't feel good.

Speaker 7 (12:46):
I think a lot of people were sort of shocked
by how it went down, but certainly always entertaining. That's
why I'm shocked that Dan chose Bed because it was
a hell of a game.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
No, I did not choose Bed, Bed chose me. I
was up at five point thirty for the pregame show,
which was awesome. We crushed it, as per usual. Now
was I out the night before? I don't know who
can judge these things?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
What is out? I don't even know. I made it
as long as I could.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
I woke up this morning to a lot of texts
that really confused me until I realized that the team's
died and I was like, okay, these all makes sense now.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
I'm responsible for one of those texts because I know
exactly who it was, and it was me commenting on
Matt Lafloor at the end there, and Jordan Love as well,
because that ball you just saw the sequence there. If
you're watching this on video, that ball's got to be
thrown away or into the end zone.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
It's got to be somewhe where the clock get which one?
This one here? I can't see. I think this is
the one second right, No, that.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
This is first down. Okay, so nine o'clock stopped at
twenty eight. Our graphics of covering I think it's twenty eight.
So here's second and thirteen and ahead. I'm saying they've
got no timeouts, and in my head, I'm saying, this
ball's got.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
To be thrown away.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
It's got to be in the end zone because if
it's running that's gonna be a problem. The pall was
completed on a short checkdown. You can't do that in
that situation.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
And these are the things that come playoff time.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
We always focus, were hyper focused on what happens in
crunch time. So from a packer's perspective, it's disappointing to
not get the win here for a number of reasons,
but in large part because now you're rushing here and
you are extremely lucky that there was one second left
on the clock enabling you to kick the field.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Well, and I at least get a.

Speaker 6 (14:26):
Tie, which doesn't feel great at that point, but it's
better than a loss this situation here, Jane.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Talk about a feeling after a tie.

Speaker 6 (14:36):
Nobody ever knows what to feel to me, And I
saw some clips of Jerry Jones afterwards seemed happy.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Seems you know, not a win.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
But hey, not a loss to Micah in our building,
like in the end, sort of like a win.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
But I did see somebody mentioned.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
I remember one of the one of the reporters down
there said the Cowboys players walk into the locker room
sort of look and acting like they lost.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Did you get that same feeling as well?

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Well?

Speaker 7 (15:03):
Because nobody expected the Cowboys to win this one. I
mean they thought Micah Parsons was going to come in
here in wreck shop and you know, see the Cowboys credit.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
They had a pretty good plan for him throughout the night.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
I think last I checked, he only had three solo tackles.
They gave him the sack. After the game, he found
out while he was doing the interview with Dak. He
didn't even realize that this had logged as a sack
for him. But this is what essentially led to them
having to kick the field goal. I mean, they would
have had a touchdown there if Micah Parsons hadn't gotten
his hands on Dak. And so, yeah, you find yourself

(15:37):
after the game just going what might have been if
you had had Michah Parsons. But at the same time,
I thought that the Cowboys did a fairly good job
thanks to Kinny Clark and oh said to Gizua and
stopping the run. So it's you know, and this week
there was so much talk about this defense, especially after Chicago.
Matt Aberflus went to one word play calls, We've been
yelling for Maris Leafel to get in there, and then

(15:58):
he had the ridiculous unnecessary roughness penalty right there at
the end that cost him fifteen yards. That's when Romeo
Dodds scored on the fifteen yard touchdown pass. And so
there were just those little things in the game that
just drove you crazy. But I think for some of
us covering the Cowboys after seeing the Chicago game, you're like.

Speaker 8 (16:18):
There's no moral victories what.

Speaker 7 (16:21):
I sort of appreciate their resilience and how they hung
in there. I thought Dak had one of his, if
not the best game that he's ever played. You know,
they've the Packers, what are they The Cowboys are one
and four going back to twenty sixteen against the Green
Bay Packers. They've had their number and they sort of
just stared them down and went toe for toe with them.
But the funny part was early in the game, I'm

(16:43):
in the press box, I'm eating and that's what the
score was. Let me look at the notes, thirteen to two,
and somebody walked around in Craft services and goes thirteen
to two.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
Is that scored a football game? That was the blocked.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
Extra point from r Kes Bell and Yandie Thomas who
got injured last year. Those two guys stepping up on
special teams, and it sort of turned the tide because
that's when Dak Prescott came in. He had the two
yard run, and then it was a demon night for
George Pickens. I mean, he had the fifteen yard touchdown
pass and then you had the ridiculous one of his
where was another one? Yeah, twenty eight yard touchdown pass

(17:20):
with forty three to go, that was one of his
best ones. And so just to see them, and then
they didn't have Ceedee Lamb in the game. So I
think that, as much as I don't love world victories,
credit to the Cowboys for hanging in there in another
wild one.

Speaker 8 (17:34):
There you can see me right there behind Jalen.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Tom Yeah you are, You're on TV, Dame.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Yeah, congrats.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
No.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
So a couple of things.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
First of all, I know there are no moral victories,
but I've remained convinced that I am okay with the
Cowboys trading wave Micah one. I never felt like they
really wanted to keep them. If they wanted to keep them,
they would have kept her they did, so I am
okay with that.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
I would also say that this is a move that
they do for the future to make sure to me that.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
They have a the possibility of having a franchise quarterback
and the ammunition to go get one with the thinking
being that this team will be okay without Micah Parsons.
Kenny Clark played well, also played maybe really well. I
thought they they kind of stood up run game wise
as well as they could have hoped. I thought they

(18:30):
some of the young guys seemed to get to Jordan Love.
I mean, Ezeraku, I thought played well. Some of the
young guys got to Jordan Love pretty nicely. And the
offense has been balling even without CD. And like talk
about the Cowboys offseason move, Pickens is not Look he's
not perfect, I get it. He looks great. So like
this was a good night for some of the Cowboys
offseason moves. And I still think that this Micah trade

(18:55):
is not going to be done until we figure out
what they do with those picks.

Speaker 8 (18:58):
Go ahead, James, Look, we've talked about this.

Speaker 7 (19:01):
They had talked about Micah Parsons and the idea of
trading him two years ago, but it wasn't something that
that Jerry was comfortable signing off on. I think when
it got down to after they paid Dak and after CD.
I think Jerry seriously questioned whether he should have paid
both guys when he did, and he could say whatever

(19:22):
he wants to say about that, but you know, he
paid Dak Dak got injured, he paid Trayvon Diggs. Trayvon
Diggs got injured. I think Jerry thought that maybe he
could play this thing out. Then Micah played hardball with him,
but I think ultimately there needed to be sort of
a change in there. And I think what you're dealing
with right now is a third of this team is new.

(19:44):
You've got a lot of new faces on defense. I
think one of the stories we're overlooking right now is,
you know, Trayvon Diggs was Micah's guy, Like those two
are best friends.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
They were very emotional after the game.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
Trayvon's kind of lacking his boy in that locker room
right now. And you know, I think he came from
the injury even a little sooner than maybe he should have.
And so they've had him on a pitch count, but
this week they didn't start him. And after the game
I asked him, I said, what was that about? And
he said, you're gonna have to go ask coach.

Speaker 8 (20:13):
But then if you go back and.

Speaker 7 (20:14):
Look, people are you know. I talked to Trayvon about
it this week. I said, most people in Dallas the casuals.
If I asked you to name three guys on defense,
they couldn't tell you.

Speaker 8 (20:25):
I promise you that.

Speaker 7 (20:26):
And so Trayvon is a name that obviously stands out
for them. And there's been this narrative that he avoids tackling,
and so he's taking a lot of the hits in
the media right now. And so I asked him about that,
and he said, you know, I went to Alabama. I'm
used to the criticism. I'll take all of it. I
deserved it last week with that Roma Dunes a touchdown.
But if you look at that was a critical play.

(20:47):
We played it earlier. He had a critical play that
forced spreen Bay Packers to kick the field goal at
the end, and so he did step up when it counted.
So I just wonder what that's going to look like
moving forward. And I'm looking forward to asking Eberflus what
that rotation was all about.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
So I have, sorry, Mike, to jump in you. I
have two thoughts. One, I want to start with the
Diggs thing.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
That's coaching, Like you talk about the effectiveness of Brian Schottenheimer, like,
you don't just get to start, yep, and if you
need to work harder or better or more diligently or
not doing something like, you don't just get your job.
So when I saw you didn't start, I was like, okay,
like let's see and the response was what it was. Now,

(21:31):
Diggs is probably mad. I would be mad. Everybody should
be mad. But the response was good football, and so
I like that.

Speaker 7 (21:38):
I actually think he's more coachable than people give him
credit for. I mean, he played for Nick Saban at Alabama.
I just think his body language, unfortunately doesn't always convey that,
and not everyone's great at that.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
The other thing I want to say, Oh, John Harbow
just announced that nominee Matabuque is out for the season
the next year.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Had a feeling that was coming.

Speaker 7 (21:57):
Yeah, yeah, see this is what you get on the
Insider's podcast.

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Stuff happening right now.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
That is a bad one.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Here's the other thing I want to say quickly, while
Mike sends his tweet at the breakfast table this morning,
Max says to me, my twelve year old says, well, like,
if you're going to get traded and you just don't
want to get traded, Like what do you do? I
was like, that is a great question, and I kind
of broke down the Micah situation and how David Willi
got to handles things with his clients where he's like,

(22:27):
you have a say, you have rights if you don't
want to be traded somewhere. You don't have to get
traded somewhere. You don't have to sign if you don't
want to. You can have power and rights as a player.
And that's kind of how you know, that's kind of
how Micah ended up with the Packers the place he wanted,
with a huge contract polause. He was like, I'm going

(22:47):
to have my say and make sure that this is
where I want to be and this is the money
I want to have, So you know, you're right. I
do think the Cowboys wanted to play it out with Micah,
and kudos for Micah for being like, nope, I have
rights too.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
I thought that was cool.

Speaker 8 (23:00):
Well, yes, said no unless you have a no trade clause.

Speaker 7 (23:04):
I mean the team can't and and the option then
is you don't sign it, you sit out. What player
wants to sit out and lose his leverage for the trade,
which I think the two dides still and I think
leading up to the game, the most annoying aspect of
this whole game was the narrative around Micah and Jerry.
I don't think it affected the players as much as

(23:26):
it affected those two individually. And even after the game,
it was Jerry Hugh said, well, we just I found
I basically decided that Dak was indispensable and Micah was it.
And I'm like, why are we taking that shot after this?
After the game?

Speaker 8 (23:40):
And then.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
This this was after postgame and the scrub, and then
you've got Mike up at the podium saying, you know,
Kenny Clark heard from from Goot after the trade. I
didn't hear from Jerry my GM the guy that drafted me.
So he's like, man to man, that's respecting. So it's
like they're still going at each other. And then I
got Clarence Hill interviewing Micah's mom, who, if you'll, were

(24:04):
called in.

Speaker 8 (24:04):
The preseason game.

Speaker 7 (24:05):
She was in Jerry's box with her and she said
Jerry promised her he wasn't going to trade him.

Speaker 8 (24:10):
So it's like, that's.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
That's inside the game. By the way, she was wearing
a white shirt was green. It wasn't an audacious green
green Bay, but it was.

Speaker 8 (24:21):
It was a white Jersey.

Speaker 7 (24:24):
I tried to get cameras in there, but apparently his mom,
Chanie invited everyone and their mother's and Mike eventually had
to tell her she couldn't invite everybody, and Trayvon's family
was planning on being in there too, but she over
extended it over and invited. You know, you'd almost feel
like Jerry could have given him a solid though, and
like bought the sweep from him and gifted it to
someone else instead.

Speaker 8 (24:43):
Mike is still on the hook for it.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
So with the Cowboys, uh, you get t the lamb
back healthy.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
At some point Trayvon works his way in the full shape.

Speaker 6 (24:55):
Cooper BB going to be coming up, Uh, probably about
four weeks away from that at this point.

Speaker 8 (25:01):
Yeah, they didn't put him.

Speaker 7 (25:02):
They didn't put him or CD on ir right, So
I saw both of them.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yeah, he was on ir right. No, I thought I
saw it.

Speaker 8 (25:10):
No, Booker, Booker. Booker was in a cast.

Speaker 7 (25:13):
He was in a walking boot yesterday, so that's going
to take some time to get him back. The one
I'm excited to see show back up is Demorvi and Overshown.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Yeah, Agent zero big a big part of what they do.
So look, I know it's early.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
I just took a look at the NFC and there
is a cluster of teams right now all around two
and two in the Cowboys cases, what one, two and
one we got.

Speaker 8 (25:37):
And then wait for the playoff scenarios.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
If it doubted that you got away the Green Bay
game and the Cowboys game and the tie, it's just
it's Pete.

Speaker 8 (25:46):
It's Pete chaos, and I.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
Kind of love it, and I love that it wasn't
one of those I love that wasn't one of those
lame ties either.

Speaker 8 (25:53):
I mean, it was really such a good game, guys,
it was, but.

Speaker 6 (25:57):
It just ruins calculations. There's a third number in there.
It's almost like a half the game. It's just we're
already watch We'll get another one and I'll just further murky,
further muddy the waters.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
James Slayer, thank you very much, appreciate it. Yeah, this
is going to be an entertaining Cowboys team.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
And like I said, this NFC is no reason why
they can't be in the mix, especially if they get
some of these key.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Players back in the coming weeks. Uh. Part that's Part
one of the Insiders. Part two of the Insiders is
coming up.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
We've got thoughts on the Giants, the first game of
the Jackson Dart era. The Eagles are horrible four and
zero in Philadelphia. Just listen to those folks there, as
well as Michael Pennix's bounced back game and the first
NFL game in Dublin. That is coming up next on
The Insiders, Part two. This is part one, Go find
part two.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Okay, thank you

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
