Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Marcus Grant. I'll be joined by Cynthia Freeland and
Adam Rank. Will celebrate the Thursday Night Battle of the
forty year old quarterbacks, plus who you should start and
sit in London, and Cynthia breaks out the Fantasy football
trade machine. Marcus Friday, everybody, welcome to another edition of

(00:27):
NFL Fantasy Live. I'm Marcus Grant, that is Adam Rank,
Michael left Florida's and parts. I know, but we are
super glad to be joined on a Friday by Cynthia Freeland. Sea, Cynthia,
how we're feeling I'm feeling great. Just so you know,
you were the best dual lingo partner ever. Marcus Desin knows.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
We really do play a lot of dual lingo together,
so it's great. It's great to be here.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Lasius mad Gusta Mucco duel Lingo had to dive into
this show. I'm gonna ask, you know, did anybody get
hit by Jamar Chase? But more importantly, Rank, were you
hurt at all by Ta and sliding down?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
We got teed? Yeah, got teed up right there?

Speaker 4 (01:03):
That was one of the things like it's such a
This is the funniest part about fantasy football is.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
That you're rooting for your players.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
I have t Higgins in a couple of spots, begrudgingly
started them because of the injuries and everything. But then
the also the intense desire to see Aaron Rodgers lose.
Like it's a weird it's a weird battle of emotions
for me.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I mean shocking that rank wants Aaron Rodgers to lose.
I don't know where that came from, you know nowhere.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Still do this day? Well, you know what, there was
a Monday night game.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Between the Steelers and the Bears a couple of years ago,
so I'm still a little upset with the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
That's the only reason why.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
It's a big Thursday night for four year old. You
had Mack Sure's are dealing in the Alcs and then
Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco going head to ahead on
Thursday Night football. But we did have some takeaways from it, right,
what did you learn from that?

Speaker 4 (01:47):
One of the biggest lessons I learned is that Chase
Brown is still an effective running back for this team.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
There was some costs for concern over the last.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Game or two because samajp Ryan was starting to take
a little bit of a bite to that apple and
getting some carries, and even last night, samajp Ryan ended
up with seven rushes. But Chase Brown was obviously the
more efficient running back, running eleven times getting over one
hundred yards. He also was targeted four times. As a
receiver out of the backfield, he had two or so

(02:15):
minus eight yards, so that didn't really help, but he's
still being targeted.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Again.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
When you have a quarterback who is not mobile, you
want to be able to hit some of those passes
out of the backfield. They'll probably be more efficient with
that moving forward. But this is a huge sigh of
relief seeing Chase Brown play so well.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I mean, I was just really taken by how many
emotions we saw from Joe Flacco and this happy, sat surprised, consternation,
all of the emotions he had, all of them, and
it was so I mean, listen, as we get older,
we start to become more emotional. I get it, but
I know, ultimately it just was good to see him

(02:54):
just be like, I don't know, just when you thought
you couldn't like Joe Flacco more, there he goes just
I don't know who does want to have a beer
with him.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I mean, he was just happy to be out of
the house and hanging out with the guys.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
And I gotta.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Say, I own you an apology, Joe Flacco. Not that
I wasn't familiar with your game. I guess I just
kind of forgotten about it a little bit because I
had said earlier in the week that Joe Flacco our
hope for him was basically to elevate Jamar Chase and
T Higgins, and.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
He certainly did that.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
But now we see it back to back games, maybe
he's a viable Fantasy starter. I think it helps that
right now he's gotten maybe the best wide receiving duo
he has had in his career, and.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
He's got a pretty good schedule over the next few weeks. So,
you know, I apologize, Joe.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I didn't think you were going to have some fantasy
standalone vighting, but maybe you do.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
So.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I mean, Cynthia, does that mean now that for fantasy
managers they need to go run out and pick up
and maybe even start Joe Flacco.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I think it's a week by week case for this
one and for the next two weeks. Perhaps it is
something that you would consider, especially given the situation with
six teams being on a bye next week.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
I saw him run too. I mean, I was.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Really impressed with the legs on this man last night
as well. Okay, that's not really the most important part,
but ultimately he did exactly what you talk about.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
He elevates Jamar Chase.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
He elevates T Higgins pretty much anyone become on that team.
It doesn't come back to full Joe Burrow capacity, because
you know, we have to honor Joe Burrow in that way.
But Joe Flacco makes everyone else really worth playing, and
it's back to being fun.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
God forbid, we have fun in fantasy football. I love it.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
No fun here is the no fun zone.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
But right, I mean, look, we have people recently asking
us about do I start Jamar Chase.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I mean, you've known.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
That Chase Chase was I think was going to always
be automatic Higgins. They're legitimate concern and watching that game
against the Steelers, didn't feel like he was on the
same page as T.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Higgins.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
So again I talked about starting T Higgins. It was begrudgingly,
but I want to take it back a little bit
when you're writing the apology letters. I'll take one because
I felt like I was the only one who was
who actually was encouraged when Joe Flacka was traded to
the Bengals, because I I really do believe in his
arm talent, still feel like he can be an effective quarterback.
I said, this is great for Jamar Chase. Again, I

(05:07):
wasn't his hype on Tie Higgins, but that proved to
be a different But as a matter of fact, and
one of my leagues somebody had dropped T Higgins, like
that's how over it people were. Jamar Chase is going
to be great. And the one thing is is that
if you drafted Jamar Chase, you likely used a.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Top three pick.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I'm feeling it worse. So now you've got to once
again feel encourage. You're like, you know what, Now I
got Jamar Chase I can trust this week in week out.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I don't have to worry about it.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
T Higgins again a little bit, but still I think
he did enough last night to show you he can
start every week.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
No, it's good to get those guys back in our
good graces and we don't have to worry about them anymore.
It seems like going on a four week to week basis. Anyway,
let's go from the Queen city to a city with
the Queen. It's Friday, means tide for some game previews.
The NFL back in jolly old for one more week,
and it's the Rams and the Jaguars, Jags and their
old stomping grounds there in England, Cynthia, what are you
looking at in this one?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Okay, I'm really trying to say myself up for some
humble brags here, So I'm going to start with starting
Brian Thomas Junior. I understand that we probably drafted him
higher than where he's performed, but he's had six games
with at least six targets.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
That's tied for the most in the league.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
And then if you're looking at the first read target
rate in week six, yeah, he had the twelfth highest one.
So that's up from twenty six in the previous five weeks.
Big deal here, and of course we saw that touchdown
last week. I think that if you look at the
opportunity against the Rams, who will owed a top three
wide receiver in the last four weeks, this is going
to be the formula. Come on, Brian Thomas Junior get
in the end zone.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
For me, I'm going to.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Say, you need to absolutely Mustard Victor Yurkoresh it is
time for him to break out.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
All Sorry, I gots the wrong not at all.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
These owners are going to be competing on Saturday when
Arsenal travels to Old Craven Cottage to take on Fulham.
But Conrin Williams, I guess in the game that you
guys care about here right now, Conrin Williams has been
playing fantastic. He has the three touchdowns in his last
two games, six games with over sixty five our scrimmage
jarge this season. One of the things that's really impressed

(07:04):
me about Kyrian Williams or what he's been doing really
well is a receiver out of the backfield. He had
a clutch catch a couple of last week. All the
weeks are running together, but he had a clutch catch
last week. The Jackson allowed the third most targets to
running backs this season, is in addition to allowing two
Top A Top eight running back and out of the
last three weeks. So I think Kyron Williams will make

(07:26):
like Bikaliosaka, I go out.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
There and score some points.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I always makes this a fantasy football show if we
wanted to. I'm telling you Trevor Lawrence has some sleeper
vibes to him. The actually started to play better the
last couple of weeks, nineteen or more fantasy points in
back to back games. Now the Rams on paper giving
up the six fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
But he also sort of looked into that and they
have not faced a lot of really good passing games

(07:49):
for the six teams.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
They've played so far this season.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Our bottom eleven pass offenses. Rams had some issues also
with mobile quarterbacks. Now, if you know Trevor Lawrence, hopefully
he doesn't fall down and have.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
To get up and run it in. But we know
that he can.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Get out of the pocket and scramble when he needs to,
and that could be a thing that opens up some
other parts of this offense. But it does look like
the Jags maybe it started to figure some things out
and that could cause problems for this Rams defense. Sunday

Stafford and the Rams versus Trevor Lawrence and the Jags. Sunday,

Speaker 1 (08:28):

Speaker 3 (08:33):
All right, you will keep our Sunday previews rolling with.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
The game that's going to happen kind of on either
side of this wall there over at so Far Stadium,
the Colts and the Chargers, and right what you got here.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I love Tyler Warren.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I think that he's done a tremendous job coming in
for the Indianapolis Colts this season. One of the big
reasons why I think that this offense has been so
effective this year. He has three hundred and seventy receiving yards.
That's most amongst tight ends, not just rookies, that's most.
He also is getting into the end zone. Has been
a top three tight end in two out of the
last three weeks, and the Chargers have allowed three receiving

(09:05):
touchdowns of tight ends this season. That's tight That's seventh
to MO That's still pretty significant. I think he's been
absolutely fantastic and I think that that continues this week
against the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Here's the reason that I am actually trying to trade
George Killaway in the League, Risio Gutierrez, please check your
your instant messages there anyway, Beware come on in Vidal
partially because he's not playing the Dolphins, and oh, shout
out to him for taking advantage of a bad matchup, right,
all crediting him. He took advantage of a really favorable
matchup for him. It's a bad defense. This one maybe

(09:36):
not quite as favorable. India is a bottom ten matchup
for fantasy running backs. Every running back they have faced
this year has had fewer than eighty rushing yards. On
top of it, I don't know that you can count
on volume just because the Chargers are not running the
ball as much as I think we anticipated coming into
this season. It's been a lot of Justin Herbert throwing
to his three receivers, So I don't know that you
get a ton of touches for vidals.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
So this is one where.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
If you have other options and if you have to money,
have a doll chances are you have.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
A benched them. As you were speaking, bench them all right,
all right, but this doesn't come back to me. If
things will, it will definitely come back to you.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Now next up, I mean he goals and the Vikings
and I'm gonna be selfish and start this one off
and tell you bewear AJ Brown. This isn't just a
straight up like go sit AJ Brown right like I
don't want to hear like I said, AJ Brown, I
played Isaac Teslaw over him, like, don't do that.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Don't do that.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
But things have not been great for Brown, you guys,
just two weeks as a top twenty receiver so far
this season, four games with fewer than fifty receiving yards.
The Vikings have been tough on wideouts, are giving up
fewer than one hundred yards per game to the position.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
And of all the.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Receiving yards that the Vikings have given up to the wideouts,
DK Metcalf has a quarter of them.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
He had like one huge game. Everybody else has just
been or worse. I get it.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It might be hard to completely get away from AJ Brown,
but you know, at least think about it, telling yourself.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
A story where you come up with another smashing Tesla
right now, you just bring that exist.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Well.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I think in both sides of this game, you have
to be aware of the pass catchers. And I'm looking
at the Minnesota side of this why I think this
is going to be a bigger running game, which just
means less volume. And Minnesota is already averaging the tied
for the twenty first most yards per game and through
the air this season. And Justin Jefferson specifically this forty
two targets, that's his fewest in the first five games

(11:24):
of the season since he's been a rookie. And I'm
not suggesting again there's no Isaac Teslaw over him. That's
not the situation. Just be mindful of looking for upside elsewhere.
Quinjon Mitchell is going to play. He's allowed sub six
yards per target the season, sixth fewest in the league
among corners. So it is a tough matchup in general.
And like I said, I was listening to Kevin Patool.

(11:44):
He said he's going to run a lot too, and
I think that Kevin O'Connell will also run a lot too,
meeting a lot less opportunities in the past catching game.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
So if I take what you guys are saying, start
Tesla over Justin Jefferson and a Jay Brown.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yes, absolutely, God, absolutely do that.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
We'll keep this thing rolling with the Giants and the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
And right, what are you looking at here?

Speaker 4 (12:05):
I'm gonna look at Camp Scattabo. I'm going to say
beware of him for those of you that drafted him
as a luxury running back because the Broncos have allowed
the fourth fewest fantasy points per game to running backs
this season. They've allowed just two rushing touchdowns this year.
That's tied for the fewest total in the league. I
will tell you though, in our NFL Fantasy Live league,

(12:25):
my options are Michael Carter, Justice Hill, and Kyle Manungai.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
So I will be starting with Cam Scatabu.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Well, I'm saying for some of you it might be
a luxury pick, just beware the matchup is really tough.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Well, I'm looking at JK.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Dobbins on the other side of this matchup, and it
is a big time must start, not just because he
has fourteen explosive rushes, which is tied for the second most,
or one hundred and more scrimmage yards or a touchdown
in five of his six games, but also is Demarus
Thomas Day for the Broncos, so you know they are
going to at least try to put on a big
time show. And the opportunity against this Giants defense the

(13:00):
third most yards to the running back position but also
on outside runs, just allowing so many explosive plays. I
think to Mary's Thomas day, they're going to have a huge,
huge output.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, it feels like a big day coming for the
Broncos in general.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Big matchup in the AFC West between the Raiders and
the Chiefs at arrow ahead and the same thing.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
You got a sleeper in this one.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
I mean, Michael Mayer.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't like picking against this Chiefs defense, absolutely not,
but you have to look for what are the options
that make sense? And quick passes are what worked for
Jared Goff and quick passes to the tight end specifically,
so let's just copy that format. This is a copycat
league after all, and we saw Michael Mayer be a
guy who had five receptions last week. They love to

(13:41):
play twelve personnel of Brock Powers as one hundred percent
or not there Obviously, Michael Mayer then becomes the subject.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
Of those passes.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
So quick passes to Mayor feel like a good opportunity
for the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
I mean, we forget he's the all time leading tight
end receiver in Notre Dame history.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
That's not obviously, that's not nothing.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
On the other side, starting Rashi Rice one.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Because if you drafted him, you've been holding on to
him for six weeks waiting for this moment, So why
would you not put him in your lineup? But more
than that, the Chiefs seemed really excited to get him
back in action again. I mean, this is a guy
who had been an absolute target monster in the three
full games he played last year before getting hurt. And
this is not an injury, it is coming back off
of At this point, he's coming back off of a suspension,

(14:23):
so I expect him to get back in I expect
Mahomes to look for him early and often. It's a
great matchup against the Raiders defense. And if you don't look,
you waited six weeks. Why would you not have Rashi
Rice in your lineup after waiting all this time? Next up,
we got the Commanders and the Cowboys, longtime rivals in
the NFC Easton right, what you got.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
I'm gonna say he starred Jayde and Daniels.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
The matchup against the Cowboys, especially for the quarterback position,
is sublime, and not sublime with Rome, but like sublime sublime.
The Cowboys have allowed the most fantasy points per game
to quarterbacks this season, they've allowed at least twenty four
fantasy points to five out of six quarterbacks. The one
quarterback who failed to reach twenty four fantasy points was
Bryce Young, who had nearly nineteen so was still a

(15:05):
really good game. So you were going to do it anyways,
but make sure you're starting Jayden Daniels.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
What I got is Zach and.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
That's a sleeper for you in this one. Obviously, no
Terry McLaurin.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Sometimes you just have to look at play caller tendencies,
and Cliff Kingsbury loves going to Zach Ertz, especially when
there's any sort of pressure. Now, I'm not suggesting that
this Dallas defense is suddenly going to become the highest
pressure defense in the league, but I think that smart
opportunities to target Ertz are where the quarterback will look.
And that's where Jayden Daniels is. Lovin what Keith has,

(15:39):
No I.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
Round it when my quarterback runs away. I don't get
angry at the bills I have to pay.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
All I know.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Is that we don't practice Santario. We ain't got no
crystal ball, but we do have some next jin nuggets.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
We got that coming up with our own guy.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Next Jim jen Aka, researcher Kendall Mursky, and kindle you
got a little bit more on this commander's Cowboy matchup.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Yeah, I want to highlight ja Corey Krossky merrit this
week against the Cowboys, who have allowed the ninth most
yards per rush two running backs this season. But the
main focus is actually the relationship between that and what
the Commanders do from shotgun this season, doing so at
the sixth highest rate in the NFL. The Cowboys have
allowed the fourth highest explosive rush rate two running backs

(16:21):
from shotgun this season. This lines up really well for JCM.
Not only is he the first among running backs and
shotgun explosive rush rate, but he and Jamier Gibbs they're
the only running backs averaging at least two point eight
yards before and after contact per shotgun rush. So over
the last two weeks we have seen his snapshare improved
by twenty seven percent compared to the first four weeks

(16:45):
this season. So with the increase in opportunities and a
good matchup against the Cowboys, you really just got to
get him into your lineup this week.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Absolutely, it looks like they've sort of narrowed down that
backfield opportunity, which is great for us.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Next Max again it real soon.

Network terms and conditions apply. Turn to dive into some
news headlines. If you know, you know, and if you don't,
we're about to tell you whide a receiver injury. Addition,
let's start in the Big Apple where Jets coach Aaron
Glenn so that Jarrett Wilson will be listed as doubtful
with a knee injury for Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
And on the other coast, I guess I should say.

(17:47):
In London, Sean McVay has announced that Pooka Nakua is
officially out with an ankle injury, meaning that the star
wide out won't be able to strut his stuff against
the Jaguars coming up this weekend. In England and ben
Quinn to reporters that Terry mcclaurin will be ruled out
for Sunday's game versus Dallas with a quad injury. This
will be the Star white House fourth straight game as

(18:09):
a scratch, leaving the Commanders to scramble again at the
wide receiver position.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Maybe more Deebo Samuels so rank as we dive into these.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Obviously a lot of big injuries at wide receiver impacting
a lot of folks. If you are one of those people.
Any backup options potentially to pick up, well.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
I've been picking up Jordan Whittington and any roster or
any team that I have. Pooga and Akoua last season
when filling in for poogin a Coua not bad. He
had at least twelve Fantasy points in two out of
his five games. And of course, the Rams have the
highest target share to wide receivers this season, and they're
going up against a team that has really struggled in
slowing down wide outs. Jacksonville has allowed the most targets

(18:45):
to wide receivers this season and they've allowed the third
most receiving yards to the position.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I mean, it sounds right with Whittington in London just
seems like it's right. But I'm looking at Trey Tucker
against the Chiefs. Again, I hate targeting this Chiefs defense,
but I'm looking at who's available on my rosters and
a guy who's shown me that he even has the
opportunity to get in the end zone. We have seen it,
there were inbreakers. It works against the Commanders. I'm not
suggesting that that's a perfect solution to any of these problems.

(19:12):
It's not going to replace Kuk and Nakua. I'm just
looking for some upside for you and trade. Tucker has
the speed to get either.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
Both those guys.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Also, at a DFS lineup, I might throw a little
two two out. Well in there, you didn't get a
lot of targets, but when he does, they always seem
to be about fifty yards downfield.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
So why not take the chance.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
So also take a look at Luke McCaffrey, the other
guy to take it.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Always seems to be wide open. I don't really understand
it anyway, get back to our game previews. We have
the Patriots and the Titans. I guess a little bit
of a Mike Rabel room game going against the Titans.
I will say this, if you are a one who
streams defenses, you should absolutely be streaming the Patriots defense
coming up this week very quietly. The Patriots right now

(19:52):
a top seven fantasy defense. They've had five top twelve
weekly finishes. The way to get points from your fantasy
defense sacks and turnovers. Tennessee has given up twenty five
sacks so far this season. They've given the ball away
ten times. That's a lot on both of those accounts.
So this seems like a situation where the Patriots able
to make some hey against an offense that's still trying.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
To figure itself out.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
And I'm going to say star Drake May, which feels
pretty obvious. But we're starting to get back into this
territory that we talked about years ago where people they
might have seen my prediction online where I predicted a
fifty nine to nothing victory for the New England Patriots,
and people are like, well, if there is a blowout,
does that mean that Drake May should be benched because
he's not. I'm like, don don't do this, because remember

(20:37):
this happened a number.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Of years ago. It was a Thursday.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
There's a Thanksgiving game Tom Brady against the Lion Sitheoll
remember this, and it was like, be careful of tom
Brady because if they blow out the light, which they did.
But tom Brady had six touchdowns in the first half,
so there is no reason whatsoever to bench Drake May
at all.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
All right, we will move on to I don't know
we can call this the dysfunction Bowl between the Browns
and the Dolphins. Things kind of going well in either
of those camps at this point, but Cynthia, you do
have something that maybe's working well for one of these teams.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Well, the weather is going to be probably very bad
there this weekend, so Harold Finn and Junior could be
a great option for Dylan Gabriel, especially without David and
Joku playing. We know tight ends the best friend of
the quarterback whatever.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
I don't actually care about that.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I just think that Shorter passes an opportunity to not
have to go deep in any way, shape or form
in what could be a very sloppy situation. And by
the way, we have there's a tease for another player
that's coming up here in a second, but Harold Finn
and Junior should be someone if you are looking for
tight ends.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
That's kind of a theme today, just so we're clear.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Yeah, And if you're going to go with one of
the running backs in this game because the weather's not
so great, Devon a Chan. He is going to be
a pretty good option right there. Top three running back
in terms of receptions. And one of the things that
you're looking at is that will they be able to
stretch the ball in this game? I don't really think so.
They're going to have to keep it close to the
line of scrimmage. Devon a Chan has been great as
a receiver out of the backfield. He also runs in

(21:57):
between the tackles, so despite the weather or anything like that.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
You should still feel comfortable. He is starting A Hm
and Von a Chan I think is going to be
pretty much in business.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Coming up this week is Signed Now for Seas the
Season presented by Caesar Sports Book, and according to Caesar
Sports Book, here are the most likely players to score
the first touchdown during this week's showdown between the Dolphins
and the Browns. Quin Shawn Judkins with the best odds,
followed closely by Devon Hm, then Jalen Waddle, Darren Waller,
who's been a revelation since he stepped back on the field,

(22:27):
and then Jerry Judy.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Rounding out the top five.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
But take it a look at this list, or maybe
if you go off from Menue Cynthia, who do you
think finds the in zone first?

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Well, I guess I'm going the chalkiest of these. But
quin Shawn Judkins. I was going to say that he's
a start too, but I wanted to save him for
this so that he gets his own shine here, because
those inside rushes are an area where Miami has been
very vulnerable. And you know who does it the seventh
most often, Yes, the Browns. So the opportunity here to
have an explosive play to make best use of this
terrible weather. Quin Shawn Judkins, he pleaded a house state.

(22:58):
He knows how to deal with this weather.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Yeah, it's going to be pretty wicked, wins, rain, all
that kind of stuff. New users can bet one dollars
to boost their next twenty bets by one hundred percent.
Must be twenty one or older. See Caesars dot Com
slash promos for full terms. We have more game previews
coming up after the break, with a barrage of some
of the hottest young QB's in the league. Stick around

(23:20):
for the secret advice. You'll need to do the big
dub on Sunday Bears and Saints coming up this week
and rank you're riding.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
With the quarterback absolutely.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
By the way, thank you for playing the call of
my friend Jeff Joniak, who does a wonderful job for
the Chicago Bears. I'm gonna go with Caleb Williams. It's
scary territory for me. For about a month ago, people
are like the Bears are garbage, and now you look
at the NFL dot Com predictions and everybody's picking the Bears.
I'm like, I was imploring College Bold, like can you
just pick the Saints so like we don't get meaned

(23:53):
into oblivion if somehow this doesn't work out. But the
matchup is great, he said. Caleb has had at least
two touchdowns in four or five games a season, and
the Saints have allowed at least two touchdown patches in
each of the six games this year. The one thing
that really gives me help is that this is a
Dennis Allen revenge game.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Sea. I'm hopeful that the.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Bears are going to keep the pedal to the medal
and roll through this one, which is why I'm comfortable
rolling with Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Well, if you like Pina Colada is getting caught in
the rain, maybe you start out in Kamara this week,
he says, that's what he's going to be doing if
these Saints ever decided to trade him away from New Orleans. Look,
I know the numbers have not been I'm gonna say
another what you expected, But then again, I didn't have
high expectations for Kamara this year in this offense, so
he has sort of met them. But this is a
good matchup. The Bears against the run have not been
particularly great. I am encouraged by the fact we're seeing

(24:38):
more targets in the direction of Camara the last couple
of weeks. It's not what it was earlier in his career,
but Spencer Ratler has determined that it is within the rules.
Does at the football to the running back, So that
maybe gives you a little bit of loud Yeah, I know,
seck crazy the use of as a flex coming up
this week. Interesting game on Sunday Night Football, the Falcons
going to Santa Clara to take on the forty nine.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Ers and Cynthia. What do you like or maybe not
like in this one?

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Well, I like Kyle Pitts as a sleeper, and I
haven't said something next about Kyle Pits in a while,
so I.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
Mean, wow, this is going to be crazy. But this is.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
Really a pick because there's no Fred Warner, who is
the best linebacker in the league, and now that he's out,
it leaves a massive Fred Warner size hole in that defense.
You saw last week where kay Otten led the Bucks
with the season high six targets and five receptions last
week when he left in the first quarter, so after
that it was massive. So I'm looking at his three
red zone targets in the last two games after having

(25:32):
none in the first three and thinking this perhaps could
be the way forward for them.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
I'm going to go with Kendrick Bourne, the Born Identity.
Of course, the soundtrack of those movies was performed by Moby.
I asked Kendall, I'm like, do you know who Moby is.
He's like, yeah, I've seen how.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
I met your mother.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
I'm like, I can't with you sometimes, but we do
love the production. Kendrick Board has given us at least
one hundred and forty receiving yurds in back to back games. Actually,
I think that the number was like one forty two.
It's a tough matchup. Falkins are really tough. This is
not ideal, however, when you look at some of the
wide receivers that you're probably going to be searching through.
We were doing a segment about this a moment ago.

(26:08):
Kendrick Bourne is a really nice option. He and Mac
Jones even found something.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
We'll see if it's Mac Jones or frock Perty coming
up this week for the forty nine ers.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
Meanwhile, move on.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
To the Panthers and the Jets, and I think you'll
try to make mcamillions a thing. Is that going to
be a thing that you look on your face says no, no.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
No, disrespect, no or not?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Not just kidding now, he's been playing really well. Ted
McMillan was, you know, obviously the first wide receiver off
the board in the draft this year. I know that
talking to my buddy Steve Smith Senior before the draft
is that we were apprehensive about it to say the least.
But he's really performed well and I can't really take
anything away from him. Eight forty eight targets this year,

(26:51):
a high percentage of the receiving yard share with the
Carolina Panthers, and now he's got a great matchup against
the Jets. He is a must start every week. I
feel like he's now earned that status. So somebody that
I was a little little cautious about coming into the
season has well performed my expectations at least.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yeah, he starting to get more recognition after what he's
done the last few weeks. I'm gonna tell you to
start Justin Fields. This feels like a bounce back, and
at the risk of jinxing anything, it can't really be
worse than last week, right, I mean, it just can't
as bad as the Jets offense was against the Broncos. Now,
the Panthers actually have been tougher on the run after
the first couple of weeks of the season, but they
are giving up yards through the air. Two hundred and

(27:31):
fifty yard passers allowed him back to back weeks. Hopefully
Justin Fields can sort of use that to get things
going in the running game. He says he wants to
be more aggressive in throwing the football, so that is
a positive right there. So I got to think there's
a chance for him to come back and do something
after what was just a miserable week last week for
him in London. We're gona go down to the desert
for the Packers and the Cardinals. And you're not all

(27:54):
that optimistic about the running game, are you, there, Cynthia.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
I sometimes think that we think about the Packers defense
and you close your eyes and you think about Michael
Parsons and then you remember, Oh, they're also good at
stopping the run. So I don't want anything to do
with the running back situation.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
For the Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
If you're looking at what's going on, I mean, fewer
than eighty five scrimmage yards in each game this season,
not great. And Green Bay has allowed the fifth fewest
points to the position this league allowed this season, allowed
along with allowing the fewest rushing yards for a game
overall at seventy three. So this is just a really
good run defense. And we've had a bunch of injuries.

(28:32):
We've seen a lot of different things. The quarterback situation
is Oh has been injured as well, So I just
stay away find a different running back.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah, not a lot of spice there in Arizona. But
they do have hard seltzs. Well, you know, as a man,
I do drink hard selters. I think that's fine. I
have no problem with it. I also have no problem
with Matthew Golden coming into the draft. I was just
talking about Ted McMillan. Matthew Golden was my favorite receiver
coming into the draft, and what we saw last week
was a pretty good indication why. And I know, the
one thing that's so tough with these Packers receivers is

(29:02):
that you don't want to get into a situation where
you're chasing the points. You're like, Okay, well now it's
Matthew gold I get that. I understand the apprehension. I
really do believe that Matthew Golden is going to emerge.
We've seen Romeo Dobbs kind of take the mantle for
a little bit, but I really believe that we're just
starting to see the best out of Matthew Golden. I'm
firing him out this week against the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
New this season, NFL Sunday Ticket month to month is
now available. Subscribe now with cancel anytime to watch more
of your favorite teams out of market Sunday games.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Terms and embargoes apply. Well now for us to take
it to the rank. All right, thank you so much, Marcus.
Two weeks, two times in the Green. Can we make
it a third Let's.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
Talk about taking it to the rank and I am
going to start off with Jaden Daniels. Now after Monday
night Football's game, I was hoping that we were going
to be done with any sort of conversation to my
guys better than your guy? How about all these guys
are good. But here's the big thing, the thing that
you need to know. I alluded to it earlier in
the show. This Dallas Cowboys team gives up a lot
of production to opposing quarterbacks. One of the ways they

(30:06):
give up production as a running quarterbacks specifically go out
there and take advantage of it. My guy next Gen
Ken was talking about how well the Commander's run out
of the shotgun. I expect to see some designed runs
this week for the Commanders going up against that Cowboys defense,
which is very vulnerable to it.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
So when I sit here.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
And I look at Jayden Daniels, I say he runs
for more than forty eight and a half yards this
week against the Dallas Cowboys against what Chucky Bee. Take
it to the right, all right, that's not going to
get to you, that's going to hit the wall.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
All right. Let's go up to Cleveland. Cleveland rocks, but
it also rains a lot.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
So let's talk about to a tongue of Iloa and
the Miami Dolphins. I know that a lot of times
the Miami Dolphin fans are accused of being fair weather,
but they do love playing in the fair weather. Now
you got to go up above the belt lot, the
snow line, the snow drift and all that stuff. Going
up against Cleveland Browns. Already, this was going to be
one of the toughest matchups. Is Cleveland Brown's defensive line

(31:05):
is one of the best, if not the best, in
the entirety of the NFL. This Dolphins team is in disarray.
To a tongue of Ioloa is sitting there calling out
his teammates, saying that everybody shows up late. I don't
sit here and talk about how late Kendall shows up
to work. No, I wouldn't. I'm jung it. Kendall's on time,
He's punched you. I'm I'm teasing. I'm teasing the kid.
He's a nice young man. I would never say that

(31:25):
about it, but I will say though, I do not
have a lot of faith in Tua in the passing
attack this week, So When I look at this, I say,
to a tongue of Iloa throws for less than one
hundred and ninety two yards, I guess what chugging me?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
All right, let's that was awful.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
That was awful. Speaking of awful, let's talk about the
Tennessee Titans. Hey, the Tennessee Titans fired their coach. They're
gonna go with Mike McCoy. Was there not a Madden
gamer you could have got? Why not go get young
kid to be your code? Could it be any worse?
But let's talk about the guy you fired? Oh why
did you ever get rid of? Minfebil leads me to
this one. I'm going to talk about Romandre Stevenson. Though

(32:04):
Mike rabel is returning to play the Tennessee Titans. Pretty
convenient that they fired the guy that they hired to
replace you, so they did not suffer the indignity. But
I expect this to be a monster game for the
New England Patriots.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
And if it is going to be a monster game.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
They're going to do a lot of their damage on
the ground, which leads me to believe, and this has
been one of the things that we've been really good
about in this segment, Ramandre Stevenson gets into the end zone.
Not only gets into the end zone, he'll be carrying
the football with him during one of the design plays,
which means that Ramandre Semen at some point will score

(32:41):
a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Chucky Bee and guess what takes you to the right?
That was there? That was there? All right, thank you
so much for joining us here, Marcus, take it away,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Rising look at some of the fantacy leaders by position,
break it down into weeks of three. Weeks one through three,
you see that Lamar Jackson, Jonathan Taylor, Pookakua, and Jake
Ferguson at tied in.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Things have changed. Weeks four through Sticky.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Got Patrick Mahomes getting hot, follow by Christian McCaffrey who
pretty much is just catching every pass that's thrown his way,
George Pickens and then Dallas Goddard rounding out the positions.
Start to bring back one of our favorite segments. So
one of the old classics that we went into the
storage closet, we found Cynthia Freelan's fantasy football trade machine.
I know it looks like a dot matrix printer for

(33:28):
about forty years.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
How dare you is This is highly sophisticated, proprietary information
coming from one of the brightest minds in all of football,
and it has been shrunk down into this beautiful machine.

Speaker 5 (33:46):
Basically, I appreciate you ring.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Don't judge a machine by its cover.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Don't judge machine by its cover.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Also, I'm just really good at recycling and reusing because
obviously the internal capacity of the trade machine is what matters,
not what it's encased in.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Duh yeah, yeah right, We're a very green show here
on NFL Fantasy Live. Anyway, you all sent us some
trade offers that you either have received or send, and
we're gonna pop them into the machine here and let
you know whether or not you should accept them or
decline them. But sent there for people who maybe are uninitiated,
give them a refresher on how this thing works.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
So the trade machine takes every position every player and
measures it with one same unit, so everyone can be
compared with the same measuring stick. So you could compare
a running back to a wide receiver or a tight end,
et cetera.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
There's one number for each player.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Why does this matter because well, it factors in what
are the potential future points? What is going on in
the playoffs. What is everything you need to know in
order to win your league? What's that one number? Let's
measure it against each other to see if the trade's fair.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
All right, So we will take a look at a
couple of offers here. We'll get this first one up.
This one coming as from Johnny. Would you trade Rico
Dawdle and I'm on Rasse Brown for Quin Shawn Judkins
and Drake London. I have boubtle, all right, so not
one I'm on row for a couple other Guyslet's say,
let's pull it out and bump bump, it says declined.

(35:14):
The trade machine not in favor of this one. Cynthia,
break it down, please.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Well, it's all about those numbers and seeing how different
they are from each other and where the volatility lies.
In this case, you would be trading for less volatility
at the running back position, so a higher value for
Quinn Shawn Judkins. However, you would be forfeiting volatility in
the wide receiver market. And to me, you want to
keep the aman Ros Saint Brown. The floor there is

(35:40):
much higher than Drake London's floor. So this one is
declined in large part, I know that number looks bigger
because of where the hidden volatility lies. And with all
of the injuries to wide receivers this year, you don't
have as many great acceptable substitutes, whereas with running backs
you can make that point differential up elsewhere.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Yeah, we sit here and we talk about revete games
and the trade machines like you know what, right, we
don't play those games here.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
We sit here with strade numbers. All right, all right,
so we got enough.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
We got another offer here, sit to us by Let's
take a look at it.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Judge you by the handle. Alex Quilk, whom I have
never met before, I do not ever know.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
He's tweeted the show before and said that the Baker
Mayfield comeback game was one of the greatest games in
Rams history.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
Yeah, that's also thirteen. He said, I need some.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
Running back down and believe in Trevion Henderson long terms.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
You should tell that to the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Would you make this trade trading away to a big
Broncos fan, Courtland Sutton and Zack Sharboney. Let's see, let's
get the where's the rest of that trade?

Speaker 3 (36:41):
There? Dk metcalf trade on the other side.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Side, that's a big part of that trade is a
big part of the part the machine.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Look, we have a lot.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Of times again you have to look at the difference
in the points and understand where the volatility lies. So
this one you have the Courtland Sutton value is less than.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
The DK Metcalf value. However you got.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
You got a difference here between zach Sharbonay and Trevion Henderson.
If you truly do believe in that long term value,
then you absolutely should take Travion Henderson. And the math
does as well, at least more than Zach Sharbonay. Also,
you're giving a Broncos fan something that they want, which
could you you know the psychology of it here, you know, listen,
it's very tricky.

Speaker 5 (37:27):
This little machine.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
Does the machine factor in human emotion though, I.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Mean, it's close to being sentient. I'm a little scared
of it. That's why I cut it in the studio
with you guys as opposed to.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Home with me.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
So we're getting the message from the machine.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
After the show, I'll be sipping a cold one when
my main man, Joe Flacco. So apparently it is it
is sentient, and this also feels like agism to this machine.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Is not only becoming an aware and a human and
emotion loves Hennessey.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
What is going on? This machine just likes to.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Drink take it out with Lebron who knows, I mean
pretty much pretty much.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
The machine just knows like it's self aware enough to
make an age joke.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
I think that's pretty funny, pretty good stuff.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Very well, good to see you again, trade machine. Hopefully
we see you again soon coming up Jalen hurts in.
The Eagles seem to be slip sliding away in the NFC,
but are their fortunes bound to change? We got our
surprise Monday headlines when we come back, tight out for
a little bit of power to the people. We asked
you for questions. You obliged and sent us a few.
So we are going to put a minute on the

(38:36):
clock and roll through as many of these as we
possibly can. We will start, Oh, this one for you, Cynthia.
Should I start Baker Mayfield or Drake.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
May I would go with Baker Mayfield than this one,
because I think it's going to be a higher scoring
game overall.

Speaker 5 (38:52):
But you can't lose either way.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
All right, this one for you, rank you roll it on.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Please choose two for my PPR team Breece hol versus
Carolina McMillan at the Jets quinch Shawn Jenkins versus Miami.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Ooh, the one that I'm gonna sit. I honestly had that.
Think you got it? Judkins?

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Sorry, sorry Jukins.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Let's see too, qb Leau. Who to start Brice Young,
Spencer Ratler, Jackson Darts. I'm starting Bryce Young for sure,
and I don't love either of their matches, but I
think I'm gonna have Jackson Dart just because I think
the rushing upside helps. Back to you, Cynthia, Sam Darnold
or Daniel Jones.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Daniel Jones, I think both of them are going to
be great, but Sam Donald has to face Houston, so
I'm gonna go with Daniel Jones against the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Right there you go, So good luck. It's all of you.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Got your questions answer the meantime, Now time to look
at Monday's fantasy headlines. Today we look into our crystal
balls and predict the future. Cynthia, what will people be
talking about on Monday?

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Well, we're all gonna have to ice skate home because
Eagles fans will finally be happy, you know, because something
will have frozen over and we'll have to You get
what I'm saying here. Ultimately, I think that the Eagles
are going to win this one. I know their Eagles
fans are almost never happy, so perhaps they will be
happy with this.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
Maybe I'm gonna say Golden rule for green Bay. Matthew
Golden breaks out.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
All right, I'm going to say this Patriots Day in Nashville,
Mike Vrabel gets his revenge.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
And all the Patriots skilled players have big weeks.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
I'll do it for us this week on Fantasy Live.
You should have tuned in again Monday, we'll wrap up
Sunday for you. However, a weekend everybody
