Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow. Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy
Football Podcast. I'm Patrick Claybot. I'll be joined by Marcus
Grant and Adam Rank. Coming up today, we got a
breakdown of the two epic Monday Night matchups. Plus Marcus
(00:21):
Grant separates reality from fantasy mirage, Adam Rank brings you
the waiver wire hot sauce, and we'll explain which of
the struggling wide outs from the first few rounds of
your draft should be on your radar as you send
out trade proposals. All that and more on the Fantasy
Football Podcast Here. Everybody, Welcome to NFL Fantasy Lot. Patrick
Clayboon here kicking off Week seven with Adam Rank and
(00:41):
Marcus Grant. Fresh off of not one, but two really
good games on Monday Night football, did we get to
celebrate and got him breakdown for the people?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Oh my gosh. Not only were there are two Monday
Night games, but my Dodgers were playing. There was so
much stuff going. Now we're doing a new thing, Marcus,
where you disclaim other people's teams.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's fun, awesome, and I guess I claimed the Bears
like you guys got the one. You got the whole
of the Jake Moody experience last night, the highs and
lows that are Jake Moody, so welcome to what forty
nine er fans have known for the last few years.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Now that great player movement demo had to be standing
on that sidelight being like, you got to be kidding me,
So we'll take our personal stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
I don't think it to the guys who went off
on Monday Night and Marcus Jean Robinson.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Had a nice one, yeah, but John Robinson had a
fantastic game. I mean, look, you were starting Bijon Robinson anyway, right,
there was no doubt about it. But even more so
against what has been a really poor Bill's run defense
so far this season.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
You see that the two hundred and thirty eight total scrimmag.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yards a touchdown at six catches to boot, Butjon averaging
nearly twenty five Fantasy points per game. His floor, I mean,
his bad game this season was still sixteen points. And
I thought, Patrick, you summed it up very well on
Blue Sky after that game last night, Bill's giving up
four point two yards after contact on run, same number
that Bijon had after contact coming into Monday Night Football
(02:01):
what happens to I was the team that makes everyone
look like Bijon played Bijon. That pretty much I think
puts a rap on it. And I know it's early, guys,
but I very much think as long as this continues,
Jean Robinson will be in the conversation for the first
overall pick in fantasy leagues next year.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Now, Jean Robinson is excellent, He's a great player. But
we also saw Drake London do his share. They decided
the Falcons is that, listen, we're only going to win
with two guys. We're gonna go to Jon and if not,
we're just throwing the ball to Jake. Are excusing Drake London,
who had sixteen targets which he turned into ten receptions,
one hundred and fifty eight yards and a touchdown. He's
(02:36):
at at least twenty five Fantasy points in each of
the last two games, and Atlanta is sitting here dealing
with injuries. Obviously Darnell Mooney missed the game again. Michael
Pannings Junior is really content just throwing the ball to
Drake London. Is somebody who has Drake London in a
lot of places. I'm here for, yeah, fraction of an
hits away from forty ports last night a solid Drake
(02:56):
London game. Not a solid game for the Bills offense.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Gcluding to guy we could just pencil in twenty plus four,
Josh Allen. He had fifteen point four Fantasy points, just
one hundred and eighty passing yards. He only has two
hundred and twenty or more passing yards in two of
six games this season. Not to like fire the alarms
or sound the panic, but Josh Allen is going to
be just fine. But maybe this gives us a little
positivity or maybe negativity for those who are playing against
(03:22):
the Atlanta Falcons defense, especially with that pass rush being
as aggressive it was on Monday night.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Well, the Falcons had their top two guys go off
and Robinson and Drake London. Meanwhile, the top two guys
for the Bills sort of underwhelming. James Cooked just fewer
than nine fantasy points. I mean, you like the fact
that he's still got seventeen carries. What has been a
little bit disturbing about Cook the last couple of weeks
is very little involvement in the passing game. Did not
have a target last night, had just one target last week.
(03:50):
I guess the upside is that he's not really game
script dependent.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
You're not worried about Ray.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Davis coming to take his job, you know, I know
Davis had the touchdown last night. This is still Cook's backfield,
and with the Bill's not having any real dynamic downfield weapons.
I mean, Josh Palmer got hurt in that game. Keon
Coleman was sort of invisible for long stretches in that game.
You know that James Cook's always going to be on
the field and always have an opportunity to get the
ball in his hands.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
And once that game wrapped up, it was the third
quarter over in our Nation's Capitol, and DeAndre Swift was
running down the sideline by himself.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Rick Now, a lot of we talked about this on
yesterday's show. I said that people were kind of underestimating
DeAndre Swift coming into this one because last year in
this game against the Commanders, it was DeAndre Swift who
took over in the third quarter that helped the Bear's
rally to get into a position to win that game.
And obviously what he did last night was pretty much
a carryover. The most encouraging thing about the bears victory
(04:43):
last night was how well they ran the football. They
were opening up holes. I don't know if it's just
a simple change of theo Benett, but but excuse sorry,
Ben Johnson had made it that priority during the bye
week to go out there and really re establish the run.
I think that the Bears hadn't been able to do.
We saw a lot of DeAndre Swift, we saw Kyle
Mnungai get get involved a little bit as well. So
(05:06):
if this is something the Bears are going to be
able to do, he's going to really start unlocking the
full potential of this Bears offense.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
And of course, the Bears offense running through its quarterback
Caleb Williams, who had nineteen point eight fantasy points, two
hundred and fifty two passing yards two hundred and more
passing yards in each of the five games that they've
played this season, the quarterback ten on the week. He's
got two offensive touchdowns as well in four or of
five games this season. Pastime to start paying attention to
(05:35):
Caleb Williams as a fantasy quarterback. But I think more
people are going to be on board of that particular
train now that we've seen this on Monday Night.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
I think obviously everybody was already on board with Jade
and Daniels. I know he missed a couple of games
while he was dealing with an.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Injury, and he's been pretty good.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
It hasn't been necessarily lights out, but he did have
the twenty one points last night. Could have been even
better without the late fumble that he had in the ballgame.
But it's a second game with twenty or more fantasy points.
So far this season, he's doing it slightly different. You
look at his numbers so far, he's averaging about nine
more passing yards per game than he did last year,
averaging about eight fewer rushing yards per game, but in
(06:11):
the end ends up sort of being the same. So
as long as this continues, I mean, obviously for Commanders fans,
frustrating way to lose, But for fantasy managers, Jane and
Daniels continue to provide the same sort of numbers that
you drafted him for. And back in the summer, was it.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
A frustrating way to lose? Was it? Was it? Really?
I would know nothing about that. Zachers was excellent in
this game. Six targets, six receptions, forty three yards. As
we sit here over the last couple of weeks. Now
we are starting to hopefully see some of the other
injured tight ends starting to make their way back to
our fantasy lineups, but zach Ertz is somebody that we
should really be paying attention to. We've seen some of
(06:48):
these younger guys kind of step up in a merge
over the last couple of weeks, with zach Ertz is
not somebody to sleep on, especially when Washington is able
to take advantage of the middle of the field like
they were last night. Zach Ertz should definitely be on
your fantasy radar.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
So congratulations to those of you who got some wins,
and also congratulations to the Falcons as well as the Bears,
and congratulations to anybody who had any of the following
players in their lineup this week. This is the perfect lineup. Mahomes,
Jean Rico again, Drake London, Pickens, Dallas Goddard, Josh Jacobs,
Thicker the kicker, and the Rams defense accumulating two hundred
(07:23):
and fifty six point seven points. And now we can
say goodbye to Week six. We're on to Week seven.
Let us acquire the ones who will be the best
quarterback in Week seven ring.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
I'm gonna go with Jaden Daniels. We were just talking
about a moment ago. He's got a great matchup this
week against the Dallas Cowboys, who allowed the most fantasy
points per game the quarterbacks this season. They've allowed at
least twenty four fantasy points to are quarterback in five
of six games this year, the lone exception being Bryce
Young last week in Week six, but still he was
knocking on the door at eighteen point four to six.
When you look at Jaydon Daniels, he scored at least
(07:55):
nineteen fantasy points in three of his last four games,
so I expect him to go out there and have
a monster game against this Cowboys defense.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Well, I'm going with what's old is new again. That's
Patrick Mahomes, who is currently the QB one overall. He'scounted
for multiple touchdowns and twenty two or more fantasy points
in five.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Of six games so far this season.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
The thing that is kind of a double edged sword here, right,
he leads the Chiefs in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
That's great if you're talking fantasy. I'm sure Andy Reed
would prefer that that is not the case. But so
be it the Raiders giving up the tenth fewest fantasy
points per game, which seems bad, but also this is
going to be the best offense they have faced so
far this season, and Mahomes generally has had success against
(08:36):
the Raiders. I know, Raider fans, there is that game
on with Christmas a few years ago when the Raiders
absolutely shut him down. But generally speaking, it's been good
for Mahomes. Thirty three touchdown passes, the most he has
against any single team, averaging almost three hundred passing yards
against this franchise. So you're starting Patrick Mahomes, but this
could be an extra good start this week.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, good matchup there.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
I will go to the running back position and take Travis.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Etn as you're RB.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
You want to know it's been a couple of slow games,
but income the Los Angeles Rams, who seemingly solved the
Ravens run blocking issues this past week. They've allowed twenty
more touches to a running back in each of the
last five games, have allowed a top fifteen running back
in each of the last two weeks, and despite those
two down weeks for each in he's still averaging five
point three yards for carreity.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I think he's the RB one right. You know what's funny, Patrick,
is Sunday afternoon. We are sitting over there, just steps
away from where we are right now, manifesting things. I'm
going to manifest Trivion Henderson in a migrable revenge game.
This is a huge opportunity for him now. Obviously, Trivion
had ten touches in Week six, which were his most
(09:42):
since Week three. But I love the matchup this week
against the Tennessee Titans, who just fired their head coach.
The Times have allowed nine rushing touchdowns of running backs
this season. That's the ninth most in the NFL. They
have allowed the fourth most rushing yards to running backs
this season. They've allowed a top twelve running back in
four consecutive weeks. The thing of it is is Andre
Stevenson is not going away. I think this is an
opportunity for both of these guys to feast, both of
(10:05):
these guys to get loose against this Titans defense.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Well, looking at wide receivers and gonna know, I'm on
Ross Saint Brown and which should be a really interesting
matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both these teams playing
really well, both very much in the mix, maybe for
the one seed who knows in the NFC, but ours
book tied for the NFL lead and receiving touchdowns five
straight games with at least seven receptions seventy or more
receiving yards, and four of six games so far.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
This year in the Bucks.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
You know, maybe not a friendly defense for wide receivers,
but they have given up the tenth and most receiving
yards to the position in a game that could potentially
be a little bit of a score fest. Obviously, I'm
on Ross Saint Brown is going.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
To be very involved.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Yeah, It's an interesting week because a lot of the
top wide receivers have more difficult matchups, so I think
a great opportunity for Romo Dooms to be the wide receiver.
One is actually third in the NFL in terms of
reception touchdowns, and the New Orleans Saints have allowed two
top twenty wide receivers in one week. That was Week six,
it was key Shan Booney and Pop Douglas. And they've
(11:04):
allowed fourteen receiving touchdowns this season, the second most in
the NFL. So a great week and a great opportunity
for Romo Dunesa and for the Bears to be two
and oh coming off of the by and coming up,
the Bucks offense looks absolutely unstoppable right now? Does that
mean you can trust everyone with a TB by their
name and your fantasy lineup? Marcus Grant separates what's real
(11:26):
and what's a mirage? Coming up next on NFL Fantasy Live,
I'm saying out a funny story.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
This is crazy. When I score and I MVP channel,
I'm thinking they talking about me.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
So I asked Ship. I'm like, Ship, they was showing
MVP and he was like yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
I was like, I ain't do nothing this hit and
he was like they talking about Baker Ties and.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
I was like, I was like, well, we've all been there.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Test.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
But what a fun opportunity it has been for the
Buccaneers reserves.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Look at what they've done in relief of guys that
we had on our fantasy rosters.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
I Mecca Buka comes in, becomes a Rookie of the
Year Canada, Rashaan White filling in for Bucky Irving, Cam
Johnson and Ted Johnson both get into the end zone.
It's been great for the Bucks backups, but that brings
us to real or a mirage, complete with a new
great looking animation. Marcus Grant looking good as well. Marcus,
(12:26):
let's discuss which fantasy UH outcomes are real and which
ones we can be a little skeptical about.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
We'll start with one of those bucks. Rashaan White. Is
his recent performance real or morales?
Speaker 3 (12:38):
It's very much real, And I think it's a reminder
that before Bucky Irving showed up in Tampa, Rashad White
was the RB one there for the Buccaneers, and he's
going to get that sort of workload as long as
Bucky Irving is out. Now, look, let's understand the ceiling
is maybe not going to be as high for White
as it was for Irving, but well, as long as
he's getting those opportunities, it's going to be a pretty
stable floor. You like, he contributes to the passing game.
(13:01):
He's had twelve targets over the last three weeks. You know,
Chris Godwin expected to miss another game. We'll sort of
keep tabs on Mike Evan though I know it's sort
of optimistic that maybe he comes back this week. You know,
keep an eye on him, Abuka, but it was so
many guys dealing with injuries there in Tampa. Rashad White
is going to get targets. He's going to get the
rushing opportunities. So I mentioned earlier, I think this game
against the Lions could be a back and forth contest.
(13:23):
So I like Rashaan White as long as you got him,
keep plugging him in lineups.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Oh, let's go to another running back, Marcus. We've been
waiting for the Kamani Vadel game. It finally came, but
it comes against the Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Is it real? Give me the good news or is
it a barage? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:37):
I want it to be real, but I can't quite
get behind that. I think it's a little bit of
a mirage. And I say, this is somebody who was
a Kamani Vidal stan last year.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Obviously, JK.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Dobbins had the fantastic season for the Chargers and it
was great to see.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
But dolls do this. Here's the thing.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
I don't want to knock it. I don't want to
just say, hey, it was against the Dolphins, because if
he went out and had a bad game against the Dolphins,
then we would be down on him and talking about
how he's not Really I think he's going to continue
to get opportunities I think he will get them over Haskins,
but I think you're gonna see more of a split
and you'll see this offense kind of ride the Hotthand
also we know a Marion Hanton is going to be
out for a couple more games. Things do get tougher. Colts, Vikings, Steelers,
(14:15):
Jaguars all coming up for the Chargers in the next
few weeks. So this is an outstanding performance for Vidal.
I think if you were in a deep league, you're
looking at maybe flexing him, but I don't know that
you're gonna get the big time performances for him going forward.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Let's keep the running back thing going and go up
to Seattle with not one in particular, just in general.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
The Seahawks running back situation.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
A real or mirang It's real as in this real
hard to start these guys and feel great about it.
I mean, I think what we have seen from the
Seahawks is what it's going to be, kind of all yeared.
I think I mentioned earlier in the season on this
show that Chance Walker has a Zach Charbonay problem and
vice versa. Walker's obviously the more explosive of the two.
(14:56):
But if Sharvity is getting the short yards.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Work, getting the goal line work.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Neither does enough in the passing game to feel great
about their target share. Neither has established themselves as a
go to back for this offense. The problem is, you know,
they're doing just enough that you're not going to drop them,
but also they're not doing enough that you're going to
feel great about putting them in your starting lineup. And
especially this week against a good Houston defense, it's going
to be really frustrated to have to sit through and
(15:21):
wait for these guys on Monday night.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
All right, Marcus, let's leave the running backs alone. Go
to the quarterback position. Joseph Vincent Flacco real or a Mirage.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Ah, yeah, this is.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
A Marachi as bugs Bunny would say. Look, it was
nice that he had a decent game in his first
start for the Cincinnati Bengals, but he had over two
hundred passing yards. He had two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Just the third game like that for Flacco since the
start of the twenty twenty two season. I know he
hasn't been a full time starter since then, but the
(15:53):
point being, he's going to throw the ball to the
other team.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
It's just what he.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Has done in the latter part of his career. He's
had just two games with eighty to more Fantasy points
since his run at the end of twenty twenty three
with the Browns. So look, we're not starting Joe Flacco,
at least not unless you're really hitting upon hard times.
The hope though, for Flacco is that he's going to
elevate guys like Jamar Chase, like T Jiggins, maybe even
(16:17):
Chase Brown. So that's all we're sort of hoping for
you from you, Joe Flacco.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
I'm in any hurry to get you started in any
of my rosters.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
But but again, that let to the conversation, and it
led to a lot of fiery, passionate conversations about Joe
Flacco with Adam Rank, whoisening now.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
To the way for wire hot sauce.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Oh, we tried to turn up the flavor profile last week,
and a lot of you didn't want to get on
board with me with Joe Flacco. But that's okay. We're
gonna stay in the Midwest as we kick this off today.
I know it's going to be Listen, we got listen.
I'm a Midwest guy, I'm from them. Wig West. I
was born there. I understand sometimes you gotta go a
little mild, but you gotta be flavorful. And let's start
off with hell the fan in the junior. Yes, from
(16:57):
ken Ohio. He is the only player in sports history
I can think of who's from the Greater kan Nacron
area that played for the Brown. There's somebody I'm missing.
I can't think. I can't quite put my finger on it.
But Harold Fannin Jr. Has been great this year and
he's gotten a larger percentage of the target share over
the last couple of weeks as David and Jokuho is
battling an injury. Dylan Gabriel really seems to like himself.
(17:19):
If you are looking for a tight end that you
need in a pinch, go with Harold Fannin Junior. All right,
let's get spicy. Watch out Patrick, all right here, it's
a good spicy. Let's go to San Francisco. Oh, San
Francisco knows how to to bring this spice. You're walking
around Chinatown late now you want to go to Lefo
Go out there, get a little spicy. In the place
of Anthony new Or Boordain introduced me to years ago
(17:41):
on television, not in person, but you introduced me to
It's not in person. I got not talk to the
name drop or anything like that. But Kendrick Bourne has
been fantastic over the last couple of weeks. We keep
trying to make Juwan Jennings a thing. It's like when
some of your friends are like, you gotta go check
out this place. You gotta go check out this place.
Why would I go check out that place when this
guy has been the guy for the forty nine ers.
(18:04):
We saw it on Sunday when the forty nine ers
were targeting Kendrick Bourne. They were successful. When they were
targeting the other guy, not so much. I'm gonna go
with the Bourne identity right here. I know I'm dressed
like Moby or I look like Moby. I know it's
extreme ways. We're gonna go with Kendrick Bourne in this
spicy watch out Vanessa, all right, let's go three alarm.
We're gonna ring the three alarm bell. I'm gonna go
(18:25):
with Kendrey Miller. Yes, New Orleans brings the spice and
it brings the heat, just like this summer or this winter,
this summer back in February. I was in New Orleans,
walked into Lucy's, the place where Drew Brees took that
Super Bowl trophy, and the waitress she challenged me. I'm like,
I'm from California. You don't tell me what to do.
Took that hotsot. It was really hot. It was really hot,
(18:47):
as hot as Kendriy Miller, who is getting a bigger
percentage of the snaps and carries for this New Orleans offense.
This offense is actually better than a lot of people think.
The Bears have been pretty vulnerable to running backs this season.
We big Bill was okay last night, got some got
some run. But I think this is the way they're
going to attack the Bears in a Dennis Allen revenge game.
(19:08):
It's going to be very fun to watch this weekend.
That is three A love. Now it's time, sorry tucking
me Eliablo Able. Let's stay in that game. Let's talk
about Luther Burden the third. Now, of course, we're going
to be monitoring the injury situation with DJ Moore, who
was held back in Washington as a precaution after the
Monday night victory. But we did see a larger role
(19:32):
for Luther Burden the Third in this game. You saw
his ability, You saw his his breakaway speed, how he
was able to catch the ball, great hands, goes out there, turns,
makes a move right there, almost gets into the end
zone right here. And I think that as the Bears
offense continues to progress over the next couple of weeks,
as the playbook becomes more more diverse and varied and
(19:55):
all that stuff, Luther Burden the Third, a guy who
was actually drafted by Ben Johnson, is going to have
a bigger role in this offense. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
Oh that was terrible. That is the Waiver Wire hot
sauce brought to you by me.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
This week, the NFL International Series continues from Wimbley Stadium
in London. Matt Stafford and the Rams face Trevor Lawrence
and the Jaguars is Sunday Morning Football, presented by Netappa.
It continues at nine thirty am Eastern only on NFL
Network and streaming on NFL Plus.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Subscription required for NFL.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Plus visit Plus dot NFL dot com for terms. Time
for some trade wins, as we get a look at
how we can improve not just our roster, but somebody
else's roster in our leagues, because we want these trades
to lift everybody up.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Who are we trading for right now? An you know,
I'm gonna go with Nicocollins, somebody who's been off for
a couple of days. Anytime you have a player coming
off of bye week, that fantasy manager might get used
to the fact of like not having to deal with him.
Now he's been playing a lot better over the last
couple of weeks, but still there could be some disappointment
right there, trying to take advantage of some things, trying
(21:01):
to play on somebody. See perhaps if you want to
be want to have an upgrade. I really like what
we've seen out of this Houston offense over the last
couple of weeks before they went on there by they're
starting they're starting to get it. C J Stroud again.
When you go down there and you watch CD Stroud,
he makes good plays. There's things happening that I think
that by the time of that we get to the
end of the season, they're going to progress to the
point where Nigo Collins is going to be a very
(21:23):
viable asset on only that he is going to be
the guy that you thought he was going to be
when you drafted him. So if there's a fantasy manager
out there who's a little bummed out, doesn't think he's
that good, starts running his mouth, be like, all right,
I'll take him. Try to see if you can swing
a deal for Nico Collins.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
I'm going to say, similarly, try to swing a deal
for t Higgins because I'm sure whoever has him on
their rosters probably frustrated.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Now. A little bit of it up took last week.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
I mentioned earlier in the show, we're not interested in
Joe Flacco for him as a starter on our rosters,
but we are interested in him for him raising some
of the other floors around him there in Cincinnati. With
Flacco in that one game, he's in high end targets,
receptions and receiving yards, the highest percentage of catchable targets
that he's had.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
All year long.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
You drafted him as a wide receiver too, But you
know what, if you're trading for him, you don't care
about draft capital. That's not important to you. So right now,
he's probably a wide receiver three, but a guy that
can come in and probably help your roster if you
are lacking depth at the wide receiver position.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
We are all on the same page here.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
I'm going to take a similar theme and go out
and look for that manager that was frustrated about the
New York Jets offensive performance in London on Sunday and
trade for Garrett Wilson who's had four games with nineteen
or more Fantasy points. It's just look at the schedule
for the Jets. Does it say Broncos Broncos, Broncos Broncos. No,
that they're not going to play the Broncos every single week.
(22:41):
Sixty one point nine percent of the routes that he ran,
we're against Patrick's or ten. And there he was putting,
trapping the seat belt on, like it's going to get better.
So take advantage of the manager who's frustrated, but again.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
Not too much.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Taking advantage of them. Send them an offer that's gonna
make everybody better. If we're gonna do that rank, we're
gonna ship some guys.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Who is it.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Well, I'm gonna say George Pickens, and not because I
believe that he's playing poorly, not that I think that
he's gonna regress horrifically. However, I just I try to
put a good player into a draft package, because I
don't know these trades should be fair, like so many times,
like it's so frustrating when somebody's like I want Nico Collins,
You're like, cool, who you're gonna give me? And you're like, uh,
Harold fannin junior, Like Okay, that's that's not fair. I
(23:23):
like Harold Fan, but like, put somebody in there who's
a little bit worthwhile. I really do believe that George
Pickens to be a valuable asset. I'm not trying to
get rid of him, but if I can go out
there and get an elite level talent that is going
to be a number one wide receiver on a team
like Nico Collins, I understand that I have to include
somebody like George Pickens. I have to give up something
(23:43):
to get something. And as much as I like George Pickens,
he's coming off his best game. I don't know if
he's ever going to score twenty four points in another
game this season. This would be the time to make
that happen.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Similar thoughts for me about trading away Hollywood Brown right now,
because like I can't make the argument that he's ever
going to fully go away or that he's gonna suddenly,
you know, just not get targets or.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
Anything like that.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
But he's coming off a game where he scored two
touchdowns in an offense that looks like it's picking up steam.
That to me is a little bit of the concern though.
Right Forshi Rice is expected back. We see Zavier Worthy comeback.
You know, Taekwon Thornton has been a thing, Juju Smith, Schuster,
Travis Kelcey, all these guys getting involved. There's just a
lot of places for Patrick Mahomes to go with the
football right now, and so it is going to be
(24:26):
inconsistent week to week. But you know, at the same time,
we can still see the occasional spike week from Hollywood Brown.
You know, the value right now in terms of a
trade might not get any higher after what he did
this past week against the Lions. So you know, here
it is you're not giving away just some end of
the roster guy, but you know understanding that you are
trying to move on from a guy that you don't
want to have the headache off trying to figure out
(24:47):
if every week's going to be the week for him.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, to make those decisions and something we don't want
to have to do He didn't have to do it
early on the season for Hunter Henry.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
And I may be late on.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
This because these fantasy points have decreased in three straight games.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
You had that huge Week three, but the numbers have
gone down.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
And then you watch the Patriots offense have all that
success with the wide receivers in New Orleans and you
start to feel like they're going to spread the ball
around a whole lot more and there may not be
that target share that was available for Hunter Henry at
the start of the season. He also has the Browns
defense as well as the Falcons, who were great on
defense Jeff Rodbroocks squad on Monday Night Football in their
(25:25):
next couple of opponents. So those are our trade wins.
Let's evaluate some of the trades of the people that
you guys sent into us. This one from Ad Rank
trade JK. Dobbins and a Lave straight up for Nico Collins.
You're only this is a lot to give up. I
think Chris Lave has played really well. He's getting peppered
with a lot of targets. I like what Spencer Rattler's doing,
(25:47):
but I'm with you, I'd rather have Nico Collins. All right,
Packers Nation wants to know Marcus trade Jamir Gibbs and
ETM for Lad McConkie and Josh Jacobs.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I am inclined to not do that, and I say
that as somebody who's likes Lad MacConkey, but when everybody's healthy,
he's the number three target there in Los Angeles. Meanwhile,
you're talking about giving up Jimior Gibbs, who his ultimate
seiling could potentially be the RB one overall. Travis Etn
has had a great start to his season. I do
like Josh Jacobs. You're getting him back in return, but
I think I want the two best players in the trade,
(26:19):
and I think for my money I might be Jamiir
Gibbs in Travis Etn.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
All Right, let's go to Jonas wants to know Josh
Jacobs and aj Brown for Pooka Nakua.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
No, no, no, no, no, Pugo.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
We still don't know what Pooka's injury designation is going
to be. We're hopeful that he's going to play this week,
but it's going to be at least two weeks before
we see him. And I think with Josh Jacobs, you
got to god it would be such a huge upgrade,
But like NA, you gotta stick with Josh Jacobs again.
I would love to see your full roster right to
really ascertain, but I got to assume that you're not
(26:51):
that rich at running back that you can afford just
to trade away Josh Jacobs. All right, let's get one
more here. It's a straight up trade Rock Bauers for.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
Ce Marcus oh Man.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
This is I'm assuming that you went out and you've
added a tight end to try and you fill the
void left by Brock Bowers. It's hard to turn down
c ed Lamb, you know, even even at a position
as thin as tight end. If I can get cd
Lamb back in return, I'm probably making that deal and
I will figure out my tight end spot going forward.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yes, is one of the things if you can get
those top ten players, get them however you can, as
we want a lot of those guys, Both of those
guys to come back off of injury healthy coming up,
Rico Donald's season officially upon us. But now that Rico
is a must start, who are we sleeping on? We
got some sleepers to consider for Week seven Coming up
next on.
Speaker 3 (27:38):

Speaker 4 (27:57):

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Time now four my five and always looking for sleepers.
So for that effect, I've got my five sleepers.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
Four weeks seven.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Just a little taste of my sleepers comments you can
find every single week at NFL dot com slash sleeper.
So let's get a go and we'll start with number
five and it is Aaron Rodgers. Look, you have to
pick and choose your spots to use him. Had a
huge game in Week one, as he was fueled by spite.
Four touchdowns against the Jets, the only game he's had
with more than two hundred and forty passing yards this year.
Has averaged just thirteen fantasy points per game in his
(28:30):
other four contest.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
But dot dot dot Bengals.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Four of the six starting quarterbacks going against Cincinnati this
year have had multiple touchdown passes. Five of the six
starting quarterbacks have had two hundred and fifty or more
passing yards. The only guy with fewer than two hundred
and fifty yards was Carson Wentz, but he still ended
as the QB twelve in week three. This feels like
a spot star opportunity for anybody. With Aaron Rodgers at
number four, it's Quinn Shawn Jenkins looked like he was
(28:56):
gonna be the workhorse weeks three through five, played nearly
sixty percent of this had eighty percent of the rushing attempts,
was averaging four point six yards per carry.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Then last week a bit of an equal split with
Jerome Ford.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
But I think he goes back to getting a ton
of opportunity. Best thing about this he gets the Miami Dolphins,
the fifth best matchup for running backs of this season.
Three different backs have had at least one hundred rushing
yards against Miami the.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Last two weeks. They've been absolutely gashed.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Last week was Camani Vidal with a buck twenty four.
Two weeks ago, Rico Daudo went for over two hundreds.
So as long as this game stays close, which it should,
Quin Shawn Jenkins should be able to eat.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
At number three, we are looking at a defense. It
is the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
DST going against the Tennessee Titans still in disarray after
having changed play callers and then fired their head coach.
The Patriots very quietly have a top seven fantasy defense
so far this season, five top twelve weekly finishes going
against a Titans defense averaging.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
A league low three point nine yards per play.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
They have ten giveaways, that's third most, twenty five sacks allowed,
tied for the most in the league. That's how you
get fantasy points, sacks and takeaways. The Patriots should be
able to do some of both. Coming up this week
at number two, we're going to Dalton Schultz going against
the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night. Yes, Nico Collins is
the headliner in that passing game, but Schultz is second
(30:16):
in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He's had five or
more targets in four or five games, three straight games
with five receptions. Seattle a top eight most favorable matchup
for tight end so far this season, three different players
at the position, and had a top twelve weekly finish
against the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
When CJ.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Shroud is not looking at Nico Collins direction, chances are
he's been going.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Toward Dalton Schultz. And that gets me to number one.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
A favorite sleeper of the week is Raschi Rice. Welcome
back after the suspension. Last time we saw Rashi Rice
on the field. At the start of last year, he
was a target monster in three games, twenty nine targets.
He turned that into twenty four catches, two hundred and
eighty eight yards and two touchdowns. Then got hurt early
in week four. We haven't seen it because of injury
(31:00):
suspension since then. Going against the Raiders, the fifth best
matchup for wideouts, third most receptions allowed, fifth most receiving
yards allowed. I look for the Chiefs to get Rahi
Rice back into the next quickly and look for him
to have a nice game against a division rivals.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
There you go, my five sleepers four Week seven. Now
some guys that maybe didn't wake up in Week six.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Yeah, Marcus, you know, I remember sleep.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
It's one of the things that I've lost here recently,
not just losing sleep, but losing fantasy football matchups because
the players that convince me that they're gonna score a
whole lot of fantasy points do absolutely nothing to help me.
And it's not my fault for putting them in. It's
their fault for not being successful. Starting with you, Davonte Adams.
Davante Adams playing against the defense. That was the equivalent
(31:46):
of leaving the lights on and hoping nobody's gonna think
that you're you're not at home and you're just gonna
leave all this stuff there and poking.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
The coup wasn't even playing.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
The second half and Devonte did nothing seven.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Point nine fantasy points. So you know what, Davante, I'm
not doing anymore. I would to take you off of
my roster and.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Then that way you won't be able to let me
down like you did against the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
So this is what.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
No, you're being too harsh on our guy, man, like
you talk about somebody leaving their house or being in
their house. Now, I know if you want to drag
Davonte Adams for something, it's the fact that he has
a taco bell in his house. Is like, bro, dude,
you live in southern California, now, man, we got plenty
of good spaces. You don't. You're not in Green Bay anymore.
(32:30):
You can go out there and get some actual Mexican food.
And this week, even though he's flying across the pond,
I will implore him to go try the local cuisine
doesn't have to sit there by the old American standbys.
But if our guy pooka Akup is not going to
be able to go out there and get into the lineup,
that means that Davonte Adam is going to be the
(32:50):
next man up and is going to be there ready
and willing for Matthew Stafford to pepper him with targets.
So I understand you're a little bummed out. You're like,
this isn't it. This isn't what I expected. You thought
it was going to be way better. I get it.
Kind of like the time I saw Tito Ortez's house
over on Davinport Island. I'm like, what is this? Bro?
Did the guy who make the Olive Garden make this house?
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Like what?
Speaker 2 (33:13):
I was going to open up the mailbox and see
if there's bread sticks in there? But like, I understand disappointment,
but listen, when it comes to my guy, DeVante Adams,
you got a chim bro.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
I should you know, both me and Tito Ortiz I
could use a little chill in our lives. It's it's
so it's so great to be excited about things like
Davante's going to London.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
You know also what to London? Justin Fields? You know
what Justin Fields did?
Speaker 1 (33:41):
He scored less than five fantasy football points. It's a
rare opportunity where the actual game was worse than the
fantasy football game.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
And I can't trust Justin Fields. So to the wire
he goes, I will just start nobody at quarterback.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Because a trustfall isn't that bad when I know where
the ground is.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Where's the floor for this Jets office? So yeah, no
more Jets.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
I'm walking everywhere I go. I'm considering taking public transit,
which is the superior way to travel anyway, because I'm
not flying. I'm saving miles. I'm saving because of Jeff Beck.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
What's your problem? Bud Well?
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Like that?
Speaker 2 (34:16):
No, dude, I'm starting to get a little agro. First
of all, have you ever been to London? No surf bro.
Of course, he's not going to go out there and
go out there and kill him. But man, time and
time again, dude, you sound like one of those guys
at the Golden West Swap Meet who are out there
selling serveboards. We like, this board is terrible, nothing I
can do with it, And I'm like, buddy, it's the
(34:38):
but it's not the board man. The board is fine.
The problem is you. And right now I'm looking at
Tanner engstrand that young grom who's the play caller. He
came out from Detroit and was supposed to be able
to be this revolutionary dude who is going to unlock
like one of the most undeniable talents in the entirety
of the NFL. There are not many guys in the
(35:01):
NFL that can do what Justin Fields does. What the
Jets need to do is go out there and get
their act together and figure it out. Like Justin Fields
has shown time and time again, he can be a
valuable player in this league. It's up to the Jets
to make it happen. Don't go after Justin Fields, man,
because when it comes to my dude, you gott achieved.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I should he had all those great games earlier in
the start of the season. I'm sorry Justin Fields, but
I'm looking directly at you, Jafonte Williams, because we're celebrating
all this career resurgers. Look at all these twenty point
games and then you go and have eight point four
Fantasy points. I guess the Carolina defense. What's more likely
Carolina makes a systematic series of adjustments based on the
(35:44):
way they haven't.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Been able to play the run, and they ultimately play
better against it.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Or Jafonte Williams doesn't want it bad enough.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Because I put him in my fantasy lineup. That's the
most likely alone. Let your I get it, bro like
you're sort of cooking with this one. I'm almost it's ready,
almost ready to jump on board. But man, I don't
know what you were doing last night. But my guy
DeAndre Swift, oh my gosh, he got after this commander's
defense so bad he shredded him. Like this. One time
(36:14):
I saw Kelly Slater out at Lowers just coming in.
It was two feet overhead and that guy was still
out there grinding. And that's what DeAndre Swift. So I
will say this about Javonte Williams. I want to get
on the Jayden Blue train, but I'm willing to go
one more round with Javonte Williams. Like, listen, that last
week was a tough go. I get it, Like these
(36:36):
times happened. There are times you're just not going to
be your best. I don't know. I don't even want to.
I don't even want to figure out why. I just
know that it happened. Javonte Williams has been so good
this season. I think he's learned the benefit of the doubt,
or earned the benefit of the doubt in a really,
really favorable matchup this week. So with caution, I'm going
(36:57):
to say when it comes to Javonte Williams, I should
I'm chilling on everybody.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
You know it's it's actually it's my fault for facilitating
a lineup that didn't win and the players they would
like to score fantasy points because scoring is good and
something that football players generally want to do. So don't
tweet them. It's not them, it's you. With NFL Plus,

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Time for us to crown the Cardio king for the week.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
For Week six, Congratulations to Niners wide out Juwan Jennings.
Jennings ran eleven hundred yards around the field in Tampa Sunday,
all that for just one point seven total fantasy points.
He had more penalties than he did receptions, as well
as broken ribs, as we found out after the game.
But despite all his ankle sprains as well as those
broken ribs, at least he got.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
His cardio in.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Tommy go to no stats, just vibes here on NFL
Fantasy Live, as we put the stats and all the
numbers away and just get to how we feel about
fantasy in the year twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
Marcus, why don't you lead us off? Well?
Speaker 3 (38:24):
I think that you know, I know it's been frustrating
for anybody that drafted Derreck Henry and hasn't been what
you wanted. But after the bye, I think we're going
to see that Dereck Henry that we are used to see.
Some of it is going to be hopefully you get
a healthy Lamar Jackson back. Some of it is just
the schedule has lightened up. I mean, the Ravens has
just had a brutal schedule to start the season game
script win against Derrick Henry, but things get a little
(38:47):
bit lighter, a little bit better, the matchups a little
bit more favorable and again having Lamar Jackson back, there's
one more guy the defenses have to pay attention to,
and that can only help the King start running wild again.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
You know, I continue to defend Kyle. It's much like
a Star Wars fan will defend the franchise anytime that
Disney Plus is rolling out something new, like, it's gonna happen, right,
this is gonna be good, this is gonna be great.
You never know, maybe sometimes it'll end up like and Or,
and you're like, see, this is exactly what I was
talking about. When I sit here and I watch this
Falcons offense and I think about all the targets that
are going to Drake London. How great, how great we're
(39:21):
seeing Jean Robinson playing, even Tyler L's year is going
out there and getting into the end zone. It's like
it's gonna happen for Kyle Pitts right, Like I will
never give this up. I just feel like I've invested
too much energy at this point. It's like you're watching
a bad movie. You're like, listen, I know that.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
You know.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
I've been sitting here watching the New Red Dawn for
over two hours now, I might as well see it
to fruition. So I feel like Kyle Pitts Senor, it's
going to happen eventually.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
One thing that I don't think will happen eventually is
the Kansas City Chiefs run game. That's not fifteen scrambling
is ever going to be good. That will not ultimately matter.
The Chiefs offense will be just fine. They're going to
score a whole bunch of points. Patrick Mahomes was the
second leading rusher in a game where they in the
second half kind of dominated the Lions. That's one of
(40:05):
the better teams that we've seen thus far, and it's
it's inevitable at this point. It's just the Kansas City
Chiefs are gonna chief and there's nothing.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
The stats don't matter, that's just the vibe.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
They're going to the super Bowl. Yeah, that's predictable. Go
ahead and pencil it in. Time to celebrate with all
of you. Is victory Tuesday for a half of you
at the very least. And you have sent us your
tales of victory and we will regale you with heavy
praise like Michael who started camp scoutabout.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Over David Montgomery and gotta win. Congratulations, Mirkael I don't
endorse that. I know it worked out for you, but
how dare you don't do that to my guy? David?
But up man, you got a win, right, I don't
appreciate that, Michael.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
We're sorry for the statements of Adam Erican do not
represent all the NFL Fantasy Live.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Patsville had jas, En, Rico and Jon huge win for Patsville.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
I mean that's all you needed, right. You probably need
to start anybody those three guys.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Somebody else is that he forgot to set his line up.
By the way, so far, hey Pick started Kamani vodell
As the RB two go Tropan Spick. I love that spirit.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
He was a troice. He didn't know. Hassan Haskins, who knows.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Yeah, Justin b took out fields fifteen minutes before cut
off of the early Sunday game.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Put Mac Jones in. Good call. Here here's Daniel Jones. Oh,
either one, whatever you did, that was the right call
for you. Both Joneses were Peter Jones was the more
acceptable called Denver has been shutting people down.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
Nicole had Drake May saving the day, and temor Roa
and Tree came through as well, congratulations Nicole love it.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
Yeah, Drake Mays were playing really well and he got
more than twenty one rushing yards.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Yeah, which is taking to the right a nice one.
Congratulations to Taro. Yeah you're not here on Friday NFL touchdown. Well,
you know I'm here in spirit, right jd l The
opponent was up by five.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
He has Josh Allen, he had Jadeen Daniels left and
got to win.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
Not for you.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Wow, you had to think at that point, like I'm done.
Josh Alends is just too good.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
And sometimes you know, you get a win on a
position you're not expecting, like Adam.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Rink with a huge kicker decision that led to a double. Well,
what happened is I was driving home on the four
or five after the show yesterday and I get a
notification that I'm starting an inactive play. I'm like, who
is inactive? And I realized it was Cairo Santos And
it's not an easy switch to do while you're driving,
So I pulled. I'm on the side of the four
h five sitting there picking up picking up. Jake Moody
(42:32):
is the only guy to pick up, like he's the
only Availa and you had to search for him because
he wasn't really he wasn't readily available. So I'm picking
him out, picking him up, including in their NFL Fantasy
Live league, and Jake Moody helped propel me to a victory.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
Over our show run not just a victory on fantasy
in real life. Rank Hey website, Twitter dot com. He
loves you, Jake Moody. The big lesson that we all
take away from that use the exit. Do not just
get on the side of a major highway. What do
you make your fancy changes. We're safe with us. Sorry
(43:05):
for Rank and Marcus on Patrick Insiders nack.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Wow, mm hmmm
Speaker 4 (43:19):
H
