Celebrating the moves that got you into the fantasy playoffs
as the regular season has officially wrapped up, and we've
got some strategic decisions that can lead you.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
To a deep run in the postseason.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Plus what to do with some hot and cold fantasy
wilde receivers in these must win weeks. That's all today
on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast. Everybody, Welcome to NFL
Fantasy Live. Patrick clab On here with Adam Rank and
Marcus Grant kicking off.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
The postseason for some of you, and to that we
would like to say.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Congratulations postseason. You did it.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
You've accomplished the task and now job's not done. You
got more to look ahead to in fact them. But
before we get to the job, let's just celebrate.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Victory. Are starting with victory Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Early on in this show, you sent us here sweets
of victory, and we're going to talk about a bear
because it's important because you won.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Rebecca picked up Blake Korm last.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Week based on this show, Hey, and got into the playoffs.
You know, a congratulations, Rebecca Listen. I appreciate you giving
us the credit here, but it's unnecessary. You went out
there and made the necessary move. You're like, I hear
these idiots all the time. Eventually they'll get something correct.
He went out there and made the move. And Blake
Korum was a player that I had resisted for quite

(01:34):
some time because I love Kyen Williams and I was
a big believer in what he has been able to do. However,
it was inevitable that Blake korm was going to get there.
Not only was Kien Williams battling through some injuries and whatnot,
but at the same time, this RAMS team is really
playing for the Super Bowl and they want to make
sure that their players are not run down, which means
you want to give the secondary back some run. And

(01:56):
when he's given that opportunity, he took advantage of it,
like he did this week against the Arizona Cardinals on
just twelve.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Carries, which is the most Banana's Partner. A great game
by Blake corn. Let's go to this one from Lone
Wolf down by nine points about Cameron Dicker had a
twenty point game. You know a lot of people didn't
enjoy them on the night football le did.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
I mean, look, if you listen to the minute with
Marcus on Friday, I mentioned that going into the week,
the Chargers kicked the fifth most field goals of any
team in the league. Plus Jim Harbaugh is no stranger
to driving the link to the field and then just
settling for three when you get inside the ten.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
All right, this one from Braxton Michael Wilson, who is
so hot right now, sealed the deal, gotta win.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah, he's done a great job.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
And it's one of those things whenever you have Jacoby Brissett,
Michael Wilson, any member of the Arizona Cardinals, you look
at You're like, oh, they're getting destroyed. Don't look at
your fantasy total. Wait till that game is finished, because
it's a completely different story. So again, it's one of them.
Don't watch the first three quarters. I just show up
for the last.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
They add this one from Allen who picked up Christian
Watson and he came through.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
For Look, I don't care what it is.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Matt Lafluir has to say he has a number one
wide receiver and it is Christian Watson. They're using him
downfield basically just getting him out in the space. He's
incredibly fast. Why not just let him catch the football
and run with it. I mean, he's been fantastic for
the last one pretty much since he came back from injuries.
So yes, I don't care what Mattlinfluor has to say.
Christian Watson is the guy in that passing day.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Let's go to this one from Pooka doneon So Pooka
naku also pookin a cool oh yeah, and Pooka Nakula
po Pooka Pooka coming through for Pooka dodgeons.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
If I was reading this correctly, I believe that Pooka
Nakoula was on like this the ninth most Fantasy playoff rosters.
Him and Jasn definitely won a lot of leagues or
got a lot of people into the.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Playoffs this year.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
And we also sneaked this one in, which is not
a victory Tuesday on this particular show and his former
fantasy a lot of producer hie them who needed rank
you and me and Kimmy to lose. He also needed
to outscore Kimmy and he got into the playoffs once again.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
He's won two championships. Who is this person?

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I feel like I see Steven accounting all the time.
I've never seen this hythem person, never never laid eyes
on him. I think it's a I think it's a
fake thing and it's somebody in this building.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Is it Chunky b It's again two tom League champion
m producer.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I understand that something going by this name, yes, a
real person, like when Joey had that made up name
bon Scott or whatever it was.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Of course I remember that it would be weirder.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Is if you and this hyphen person had the same
birthday too?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
That would be crazy weird? Is it me? It's nice
in my alter ego? Is it is not Adam Rank?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
But we do have a slow mo shot.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
My gosh, I'm the confetti and the self version while
we're both eliminated from the fantasy playoffs in this league, Hey,
I made the champion.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I'm the number one seed in my league of records. Oh,
we're talking about Buddy Night Football.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
A lot of people don't want to, especially Jayalen Hurts,
who have the worst Fantasy play in history.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
I think right this was a tough one.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
And there's been something that's been going on with the
Eagles over the last couple of weeks where everybody's like, oh,
they'll get it back together. This was the most befuddling
because not only did Jalen Hurts throw an interception, loses
two points on the interception, then loses two points on
losing the fumble. So it's one of those things that
makes you want to quit fantasy football. But it's interesting

(05:23):
too because remember a couple of weeks ago, AJ Brown
was complaining about like, hey, I'm not getting the ball
enough while they were winning. Well, now he's getting the
ball a ton they're losing and he's cool with it.
He's like, yeah, it's fine, I'm getting one hundred yards,
so congratulations him.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
I mean that's the thing with AJ Brown, right since
he went on Twitch and did that whole crash out
about if you have me in fantasy, get rid of me.
He's the wide receiver three thirty one chicks, so it's
three hundred and ninety one yards, three touchdowns, twenty two
fantasy points per game. So it's like, you know when
your kid complains and makes a fit that he's not
getting enough cupcakes. How do you reward him, Well, just
give us some more cupcakes. So that's working out, means

(06:00):
for fantasy folks it is.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Then there's Saquon.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Who last night had one of the best games we've
seen out of Saquon in a while, one hundred and
twenty two rushing yards in a touchdown, his first touchdown,
who most fantasy points since Week eight, just the second
time he's been over one hundred rushing yards so far
this season. So it has not been the year you
wanted it to be if you drafted Saquon, But at
least for one night, he gave you a glimmer of hope.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
And I would say that it keeps people off of
Kevin Petulo's back, but that's probably not true.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Yeah, that's the guestion has gone from bad too much worse.
And hey, welcome back to the Chargers backfield for Mario
and Hanton. He got into the end zone on that
reception as well. He also had thirteen carries. The problem
is the snaphare still favoring Kamani Vodell as well the
pass blocking reps.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
It looked a lot.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Better with number thirty back there, as Hampton gave up
a big sack to Nikobe Dean and Justin Herbert, who
won that game with one hand.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
By the way, I understand this his non throwing hand.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
He looks like he has an actual like pizza over
there playing on his left hand. But yeah, Herbo played
pretty well considering right he stole it from one of
the cast members at Disneyland. That is a legitimate Mickey
mouse hand that the characters use when they go out there.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
But in any event, this was a tough one.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Now Justin Herbert, not only was he battling with the injury,
but he was sacked seven times, felt like it should
have been twenty. The Eagles kept missing opportunities to take
him down in the backfield, and even when he was
getting out and scrambling, they felt they felt a little
deferential at some points too, letting him get out of
bounds where other quarterbacks I think might have been smoked.
But it's really going to be a decision that we're

(07:35):
going to have to make going on in the Fantasy playoffs.
I do know that in one of the Dynasty leagues
where I reached the playoffs, it's like I got Justin Herbert.
It's a super flex league, and my other options Jackson Dard.
So I might just wrap it up and be like,
you know, it is a great regular season, but now.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
It is what speaking of limited options at quarterbacks and
the Chargers franchise, let's get to some news in case
you missed it, because the Colts are actually signing forty
four year old Philip Rivers. Would not have to do
it like this with the music in the black and
white video to the team's practice squad. Rivers last played
in twenty twenty. Yes, back when cameras were shooting in

(08:13):
black and white. He's a semi finalist for the next
Hall of Fame class.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
He's out, He's got to be out. Then, Yeah, he's
gonna come back. He's gonna wait for five more years.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
With Diames and Richardson out the third string, Riley Leonard
battling a pcl spring, Rivers joins Brett Rippon in the
Colts quarterback room. Is it too early to say which
of his three plays in Week fifteen?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Probably? But Marcus, what do you make of all this? Man?

Speaker 4 (08:38):
It's a thing. Philip Rivers has not played for five years.
He's forty four years old. He is literally a grandfather.
That is not just us making jokes, he has a grandchild,
hasn't played in five years.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I think it's all bad for the past catchers.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Right, I'm not excited about you know, Michael Pittman, Alec Pearce.
Maybe maybe you can, you know, be the bar for
tight end success is so low you can still talk
yourself into Tyler Warren. But yeah, if he does come
back in plays this week. Right, hasn't played in five
years and he's going to face the Seahawks in his return.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Back, Like that just feels all bad.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
I want no parts of any Colts outside of say
Jonathan Taylor for the foreseeable future until we can figure
out what exactly is going on here.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
His oldest child is actually older than Tyler Warren, which
is the best part about it. I think that obviously,
you know, probably don't want play him because it's against
the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
But it's like we've seen this before. The old guys
can go out there and play.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
The biggest issue because, like I think, I'm pretty confident
that he coaches high school football. He's active, he looks
like he's in shape and everything like that. The thing
of it is, it's it's the long it's playing a
long season where these guys where it really hurts them.
We saw Joe Flacco come in and be an immediate
house of fire, but then he just loses his win.
It's like watching a Goldberg man. It's like, yeah, he's

(10:01):
gonna be good for like the first two minutes and
then it's all gonna go downhill.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I'm gonna throw one teeth down the right sideline intended
for DK Metcalf catch it in its side.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
My rage game ends was left looking fired down your
testy came Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
On the cross in your Raven's territory in side the
twenty raven ring four Rogers walking deep of.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
The right sideline and caught by DK that gap deep
side the thirty five yard line.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
Another beautiful throw off the sideline and a terrific cash
by DK Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Oh what a game by DK Metcalf. But Marcus Grant
is tell us.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
It's gonna tell us whether or not that was real
or it was a mirage, like like the subject verb
agreement I has is tell us there was always great Marcus.
But DK Metcalf air yards king against the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Was that real? For morale? I think this was real.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Arthur Smith came in with this ingenious plan to take
his big, strong, fast receiver and use him as a
vertical and boundary threat.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
What a concept.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
This is a thing that had been missing from the
Steelers offense for a while. Metcalf season high hundred and
forty eight yards. He had one hundred and forty four
yards any previous five games combined. I believe the Steelers
went the entire month of November without a completion of
twenty or more air yards. So maybe they've realized the
magic of the vertical pass again. Plus, I would assume
that DK Metcalf went to the bow Callahan, I mean

(11:26):
Aaron Rodgers birthday party slash film study to really help
some things out.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
So maybe they actually figured.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Some things out that could be big because Theyn't got
the Dolphins and the Lions coming up in the next
couple of weeks, and scoring points is going to be
important for that offense.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, especially good news to double down on the good
news that Mike Tomlin says DK is okay after he
went to the hospital. Didn't travel back with the team
after that win against Baltimore Ravens, a team that got
a loss all on the road though was the Cincinnati Bengals,
but Mike Gasicki was Mike gaesikiing Marcus even ather haended
g sick.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Any celebration there was that real or.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
That's gonna be a mirage, and so like in the past,
I will admit that I have sort of used Gasiki
as shorthand for that tight end that you either draft
late or pick up off the waiver wire, and you're
not really excited about it because he's going to give
you sort of mid numbers all the time. But he
was good in Week fourteen, no doubt, eighty six receiving yards,
but he had one hundred and fifteen and all the
other games combined. Admittedly, yes, he has missed some time

(12:21):
with injury, but less than forty percent of the snaps
since Week twelve, just fifty percent route participation. He's a
distant third in targets behind Jamar Chase and Tie Higgins.
Now obviously Higgins in concussion protocol, will see if he's available,
But even if T Higgins doesn't play, I think those
opportunities go more toward Andre Yoshivas than they will to
Mike Gasiki, so I wouldn't get too excited and try

(12:42):
to stick him in some lineups in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
All right, so that is a mirage.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
But let's go to a team that bullied the Browns defense,
the Tennessee Titans, and Tony Pollard had one hundred and
sixty plus rushing yards two touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
That reeal oh, that is just vapor trails all over
the place.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
That is a mirage.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
I don't know where that came from, and I'm pretty
sure the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Aren't sure where that came from.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
They've been great against the run all year long, and
somehow Tony Pollard just goes nuts. Only the second time
this year he's had twenty or more carries in a game. Now,
looks some of this has been that game script usually
not on the side of the Tennessee Titans. They have
the worst point differential in the NFL at minus one
fifty six. I think that's going to continue the next

(13:25):
couple of weeks. They've got the forty nine ers, they've
got the Kansas City Chiefs. I think it's gonna be
another situation where they're playing from behind and they're asking
Cam wod to try to play hero ball behind an
offensive line that's not particularly great. So the Tony Pollard
explosion in Week fourteen was wonderful. I don't think we're
going to see that again this year.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
All right, let's go to the Denver Broncos and RJ
Harvey doing it all.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
It was great.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
The run game in the past game called all six
of his targets. Was that real or is it one
of those Vegas mirong I.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Think this is real.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
You know, it's as real as the building at least
that is named the Mirage.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
All it took was all the.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Other running backs in Denver to get Fanost and go away.
And now with no other options, no other options, Sean
Payton's decided, hey, we're gonna make RJ. Harvey RB one
season high sixty nine percent of the snaps in Week fourteen,
six targets that was also a season high. Now, look,
I'd like some other things to improve. Is averaging just
three point four yards per kerry that's not great. Only

(14:20):
US two games with forty or more receiving yards. Would
like that number to bump up a little bit. But
the important part, Patrick, is that the usage is getting better.
So that's what we're excited about. Just see more of RJ.
Harvey as the lead running back in that Broncos.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
All right, so good news for RJ. Harvey.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
If you're a fantasy manager with Mike Gasicki or Tony
Pollard and you got the news that it's a bit
of a mirage, well why don't we spice up your
Bland roster with a little bit of waiver wire hot sauce.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
All right, thanks so much, Patrick, And it is the
holiday season, and we've got four flavor profiles. And realize
those of you traveling in from the Midwest, Hoffman is
States hot is different from California high. So let's say, look,
it's some of these options for you. Really start with
the mild but flavorful. And this is Ryan Flornoy of
the Dallas Cowboys. You might have watched him on Thursday night.

(15:09):
Taken note of what he was able to do, You're like,
you know what, this is somebody that I need to
have on my roster, which is a true statement if
you have Ceedee Lamb. Otherwise, there's probably no other justification
for having him there. At this point of the fantasy
football season, we are not sitting here trying to find
guys to be spot starters, or at least I hope not.
But if you have Ceedee Lamb, this is what you

(15:30):
want to have as a backup. We have a proof
of concept right here that given an opportunity to play,
he can be very effective. But as long as Ceedee
Lamb is starting, he is probably not going to be
a great option for you. Let the person with Ceedee
Lamb go out there ruin the rest of their fab budget,
or don't give up your way for priority for this
because you have other options going out there.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
All right, let's get out too spicy. Chuck at me.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
You looked away. Sorry, I tried to sing the one way.
Let's get spicy. Let's talk about Jalen Wright. And once again,
this is another situation where this is purely a backup option. Now,
given an opportunity to play on Sunday, he performed very well.
Coach Mike McDonald said, if Devon a Chan was really needed,
if the Dolphins were truly being pressed by the New

(16:14):
York Jets, they could have put Ehchan back out there,
but they went with Jalen Wright. The most significant part
of this is that for the long part of the
season it felt like Olie Gordon was the backup to
have that was the handcuff here. Unfortunately, for those of
you who've been holding on to Olligardon for the majority
of the season, Jalen Right not only came out here
and played.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Very well, he was very effective.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Twenty four rush attempts forced, five miss tackles.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
That is a huge thing.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
So again, this is going to be dependent on the
availability of Devon eight chan with somebody that if you
have him on your roster, you need to get him
in right.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I'm telling me that. Oh the riser, Oh I look.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Like kat Osterman right there with that riser. All right,
let's go three alarmed, let's go three toy. We're talking
about JJ McCarthy. I don't laugh over there like well Burden,
I said there, I saw you earlier. Listen, JJ McCarthy
has not been given a fair opportunity. He didn't play
last season. He's played a handful of starts this year.
But now we're starting to see some of the things

(17:12):
that we saw from him coming in to the NFL,
starting to get a little bit more confident in this offense.
And really what we're doing right now is looking at
the matchup going up against the Dallas Cowboys this week.
This is going to be one of those spots where
if you were down a quarterback, if you had.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Jade Daniels, for instance, and you.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Got rid of the quarterback that you've been starting the
previous three weeks.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I don't know why you did that.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
But again, for anybody in a super flex league, like
I was talking about a moment ago, Justin something happens
with Justin Herbert later on, or something happens this week
with Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Whatever it is. JJ McCarthy is somebody that I know.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
It's it's tough, you know, probably for your consolation, maybe
for your consolation.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Are you ready? Are we trying out the light? I
don't know if we'll get the camera on you. Oh
my gosh, Mike, watch yourself.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
All right, let's go the Oblo, the hottest of the Chilis,
and we're gonna go with a Rashien Ali. Yes, this
is mostly for anybody who's in a dynasty league right now,
if you're looking for some options, if you want to
go out there and pick up somebody, again, you're probably
not going to play him. However, in a limited opportunity

(18:17):
this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, saw some ability, and
again we're trying to back up our main stars, guys
like Derrick Henry. You're gonna be starting Derrick Henry this
week he had what twenty four carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
That is the guy you want, but you want to
make sure in case something, this is just one you
want to have there.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
If one of your one of your relatives.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Is starting to pop off about like oh I can
I can handle the spices, you're like, all right, you
want Rashaun Ali, Well, then we'll get him out there.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
And also, if you're.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Looking for another deep, deep waiver wire option, go see
if Ken Adams is available to you. If Ken had another,
I'm joking, Mark Depoulo texted me. He's like, Ken.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Adams was the name you were thinking of.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Sorry, sorry, friends, officionados, we missed it.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I bottled it. I am so sorry. But that is
it for the waiver wire hot sauce this week.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Good luck to you in your fantasy football playoffs. Hopefully
your serving sizes will be according now coming up. If
you made the fantasy football playoffs with Justin Jefferson as
one of your wide receivers, congratulations to you.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
But we've got some real truth that we now have
to talk about. Coming up next, we're.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Back on Fantasy.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
A lot of the Fantasy.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Playoffs begin with the Thursday Night Southern Showdown on Prime Video.
This week, the Atlanta Falcons flot of Tampa Bay to
take on the Buccaneers. Thursday Night Football Covers begins at
seven Eastern only on Prime Video.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Something to pay.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Attention to for your run in the playoffs is there
are some difficult matchups for some guys you've been able
to count on, like Dak against the Vikings defense who
just shut out the Commanders, jacobra Rossett against those really
really good Houston Texans, Kyen Williams, Josh Jacobs brock Bowers
who's carried folks late this season with a difficult matchup.
So those tough matchups reminding us that people got to

(20:05):
hear some tough truths right now in fantasy football with
the playoffs coming. What would you like to share with
the people, mister y You.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Know what not listed there? It's the Seattle backfield man.
There's really just nothing you can do with this thing,
and it's been disappointing from all ends. There's really nobody
you can rely on. Just when you think that Zach
Charboney starting to get a little bit of a run.
Kenneth Walker the third get sixty percent of the snaps
over the past weekend. And even with like great matchups,

(20:32):
there's really nothing you can do. And honestly, in a
lot of the spots, you're just compelled to start up
whoever you are tied to. I know, I have Zach
Charbonay in a league that I'm starting this week, and
I'm just like, well, there's six points maybe this week.
And it's just one of the things that you got
to deal with and hope for the best. People hoping
for the best from Aaron Rodgers. They actually got it

(20:54):
last week.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
It looks great the deep passing Marcus discussed or you know,
DK metcalf not in necessarily a mirage. The Aaron Rodgers
performance was that was one hundred percent the Baltimore Ravens
defense to the extent where he even had Aaron Rodgers
with his first rushing touchdown in years and he did
the discount double check and people are like, oh, oh,
the discount.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Double check is not back. Yeah, because he hasn't.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Been doing this.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
The Ravens could not get to Aaron Rodgers. That's why
he hasn't had the completions down the field he was
oh for November in deep completions.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Is not because all, yeah, he can't throw the ball anymore.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
No, he hasn't had time to the Ravens provided that
time and so yeah, it's going to be limited to
just one week. So congratulations on that week, but I
think the time's up there.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Well, I'm going to say, you know, when you drafted
Justin Jefferson, it seemed like a great idea at the time.
The problem is year in week fifteen, you are stuck
with Justin Jefferson. I don't mean that in a complimentary way.
It's been rough all year long, right, sixty two receiving
yards per game, which is by far a career low,
especially bleak the last few weeks weeks thirteen and fourteen,

(21:59):
eight combine fin ten targets, four catches fifteen yards. He's
been blowed fifty yards and five of his last six.
The current quarterback situation doesn't really inspire a whole lot
of hope fifty percent catchable targets.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
The problem is.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
You keep starting him because you look up it down
your roster, you look on the waiver wire, and you
really can't find three or four options that you can
justify starting over Justin Jefferson. So it's not great. That's
probably one you gotta live with, at least for the
time being.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Well, let's gets the people some some better news, because
it's not just tough schedules down with stretch. There are
some much fluffier schedules like Jackson Dart taking on the
Washington Commanders, brought party against those Tennessee Titans, Tramon Henderson
against the Buffalo Bills who have struggled against the run.
And yeah, there's Justin Jefferson going up against the Dallas
Cowboys defense. So let's provide the people with some more comfortable,

(22:49):
some more fluffy trups.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Marcus, Well, you're stuck with Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
I mean, if all the guys you want to have
on your roster going into the playoffs, is hard to
really argue against a guy like Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Yea, maybe some of this as vibes, but there are
some underlying metrics. Right, He's still playing a ton of
snaps ninety five percent, he's running ninety six percent of
the routes, He's getting thirty percent of the targets. And yes,
the Cowboys defense looks better now than it did at
the beginning of the season, but still they're giving up yards,
they're giving up fantasy points to wide receivers. Fifteen different
wideouts have finished top twenty four in a week against

(23:22):
the Cowboys. And look, if the Vikings are playing from behind,
which is not an unfathomable idea, they can have to
throw the football more. Jefferson has had some decent weeks,
some double digit weeks with JJ McCarthy at the quarterback position.
It's not going to be what you were expecting when
you spent the high first round pick on him, but again,
you can do.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Far worse than running out with a lineup with Justin Jefferson. Yeah,
I mean dark cloud as a silver lining. What it's
your much much more comfortable truth.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Right.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
What's funny because you're talking about Jackson Dart right there
with an easy schedule. One of the things that we're
missing with him is like the designed runs which made
him so great, which leads us to a conundrum at
the quarterback position. But Shador Sanders has been playing really
well over the last couple of weeks. Now, back in
week twelve, we had him on the hype train last week.
Cynthia Frielan had him in stacks on stacks, and we

(24:10):
kept talking about him.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
In the DFS sense.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
But now there's legitimate opportunity to play him in the
Fantasy playoffs. We just saw there a moment ago with
Jacoby Brissett. He's going up against the Houston Texas this week.
That's a tough matchup. But now you got Shador Sanders
in an opportunity against a Bears team that has given
up some production to quarterbacks over the last couple of weeks.
Jalen Hurts was good two weeks ago, obviously, Jordan Love

(24:35):
had a good week.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
This past week.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Is like, do we really do this? Do we go
into the playoffs with Shador Sanders. I think that there's
a real chance that Shador Sanders can go out there
and get people into the semi finals this week.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
And I don't know, it's a lot of people won't believing.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
I know that when we again, when we did the
hype train in a couple of weeks ago, you're like,
don't be ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
I'm like, I'm pretty good he you doing that?

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah, that humble Cynthia is up to because she was
she was in on that line dual hubble bread team.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
She never gets it.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yeah, a humble rereck for Cynthia Show because she's not Okay, whatever,
we'll pass you. I'll provide people with some good news
because I know the Houston Texans are a rough matchup
for Jacoby Brissette and the Arizona Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
They may get blown out. That's good news, folks.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I know it seems like the Arizona Cardinals are destined
for Cancun late in these games, but in the second
half when trailing by eight or more points. Jacoby Brissett
has seven touchdowns this season, only two picks garbage time.
Is Brissette tom my favorite part ninety eight drop backs.
He's only been sacked once in those scenarios. The ball
is going downfield, brother. Jacoby Brissette has been deprived of

(25:45):
chances to play football for the majority of his career.
He is not missing those opportunities. He's airing that thing
out regardless of the consequences. And I think you can
still start Jacoby Brissett in this matchup.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
And throughout your face.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Nay playoffs have the twenty twenty six NFL Pro Bowl
vote presented by Jersey Mike's is open and the roster
is up to you now through December fifteenth. Cast your
ballot and out of the players who dominated for your
fantasy team this season. It's the ultimate way to thank
your squad for their great work.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
So don't wait. Go to Pro Bowl dot com slash
vote today.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
It's time for another edition of My five and some
of you out there are in a privileged position where
you don't have to worry about setting a lineup this
week because you have a buy in the first round
of the playoffs. So I've got my five moves to
make during your playoff bye week, we will get.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Started at number five.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
It's time to go out and handcuff your running backs.
I mean, that's a nice RB you've got there. This
shame of something happened to him. Don't get caught scrambling
on the waiver wire just in case your RB one
gets hurt this week is like Brian Robinson, maybe Blake Corum,
Jalen Wright, Ray Davis, all still widely available on NFL
dot Com. Some of these guys even have standalone and

(27:00):
value in deeper league, so make sure you scoop at
least one or two of them up at number four,
set up your defense. This is when you start checking
schedules over the next few weeks.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in a great position to
be a streaming defense for you, but they might be gone.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
So here's some others that could eat the Dallas Cowboys
if they look improved.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
They've got the Vikings, the Chargers with a.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Bad o line, and the Washington Commanders in the fantasy playoffs.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Yeah, the Saints are great.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
They've got Carolina, the Jets possibly with no Tarad Taylor,
and the Tennessee Titans. Look maybe even out a couple
of defenses if it's necessary to help you provide options
over the.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Next few weeks.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
At number three, how about you just stir the pot
in the group chat a little bit.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
This is a chance to.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Maybe lob an argument grenade in the chat post a
few means something to get under the skins of a
league Maine or two.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Maybe tell someone that.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
Their favorite quarterback isn't gonna win the NFL.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
MVP this year either way.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
Get your Popcord ready, curl up under a blanket and
be an agent of chaos.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
This week.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
At number two, it's time to start the mind games.
Here's an opportunity to spread some false hope for next week.
Maybe leave your entire starting lineup empty and so just
before game time send out frantic tweets and texts about
start sit the limits. You're pretending to have just enough
to give your opponent the idea that they could win
before you ultimately pull the rug out.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
In week fifteen.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
And at number one, just go out and touch grass.
You don't have any lineup responsibilities this week. You don't
have to sweat over snap counts and target shares. Maybe
go outside, take a walk, toss the pigskin around with
your friends and family, maybe with the kids, or you know,
you can even grab your timbulans, round up some friends.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
And take a boat trip this weekend.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
You know what it second thought, maybe don't do that,
but either way, enjoy the.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Bye week and gear up for the real action.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
Meanwhile, speaking of geary up, you've got an angry guy
who doesn't like his lineups.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Well, yeah, touching grass is difficult for me, Marcus, because
the grass that I'm paying attention to is on the
other side, and it's green. It's so so green, and
it's not green for me because I'm not in the
fantasy playoffs. And the reason is because the players that
I started did absolutely nothing for me and caused me
to be on the outside looking in and I'm left out.
And I'm looking at you, Majeon Robinson. Why didn't you

(29:13):
play like the RB one that I drafted you? You
were the arby twenty seven. I needed the guy to
get in there. My belief was surging. It was a
roaring flame within me for Jean Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons.
And now it's dwindled down to a little tea light
which nobody told me they needed protection and they're very
flammable and dangerous.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Now all the dudes you're gonna come after.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
This was one of those opportunities.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Man, This guy was going up against the Seattle Seahawks,
the number two rushing defense in the NFL's kind of
lacked the time that Rick Caine rolled up from the
wavefuls in Arizona and thought he was gonna paddle out
at pipeline and make it work. No, this is where
you needed guys like turn to be on your side

(30:02):
to come through. Like even in a bad week like
this was not a great week. I'll give that to you.
He still had nearly ten points. Patrick, You had other
opportunities to go out there and find better guys with
better matchups to support this guy every once in a while,
you got to lift your friend up. That's more on

(30:24):
you than it is my guy, Bijon. So when it
comes to b r Man, you gotta chepe b I should.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
I'm sorry, so good the rest of the season arby
twenty sevens.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
You know it is not that better better than the Army.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Forty seven Brice Hall.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
I'm wanted points.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
I wanted points from you, Brice, and I'm looking I'm done.
I'm just doing with Brice Hall. I'm done with New
York in general. Bagels out, croissants in because you know what,
the flakiness is what I'm used to for our running backs.
I hear that New York is the only place where
pizza exists. So guess who's a flatbread guy?

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Now it's on me.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
I kind of get where you're coming from. Man, I've
been to New York before, and I'm like, oh, look
at all this sure not a single wave, bra how
do you survive out there? But I got to stick
up for my guy, Breese Man.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
It is so not his fault.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
If we want to be mad at anybody, how about
Tanner Engstrand. Dude, you were coming in from Detroit. You
were supposed to be this wonder kin who was gonna
go out and in this stall a Detroit style offense
here in New York. Could not get it done. But
I'm still down with Brice Hall. And I know the

(31:37):
matchup this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars is not going
to be ideal, but this is our guy.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
We got it once again.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Dude, what guy was saying with Jon Robinson, We gotta
go out and support that guy. Realize he's probably not
gonna hit his ceiling of thirty points, but can still
go out there and do enough. But listen, we like
Brice Hall, and when it comes to him, you got
a chip brou.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
I should I should? Brice. I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
I do realize, but one thing realized can do is
realize realize. And I see it from Terry McLaurin because
you came back. It was a first game back, and
it's all Terry mclaarin is.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Dice it up.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Patrick Sartan, He's gonna have a great game against the
Minnesota Viking seven point one fantasy points. Oh yeah, it's
better than a couple other guys. It's not what I needed, Terry.
I needed you to go out there and score fifty points.
I don't understand that your team didn't actually score point
and everybody got hurt and there was a bad situation.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
But I need you to come up and perform the role.
How can you not be impressed with the way he
ran down that interceptor.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
I'm gett that.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
I don't listen, bro, it's not about that. It's like
this old head showed up, like that dude who shows
up at thirty eighth Street all the time to come
play some basketball. You're like, this old guy can't do it.
He just starts draining it. Now, obviously we would have
wanted a little bit better on Sunday, but there's an
injury to the quarterback. Everything got kind of scurball. That's okay.

(33:03):
Like this week, they're gonna have a better plan. I
hope they're gonna go out If Marcus Mariota is gonna
go out there and start a quarterback, you know that
my guy, Scary Terry is gonna go out there and eat.
So I'm just gonna ask you to have a little difference,
have a little respect, and when it comes.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
To Terry McLaurin, you gotta cheap bro.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Help chill. I'm sorry, Terry McLaurin. In fact, why don't
we give offensive players some points?

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Man said you would fault him if he dropped the
bumble or something exactly. Thanks, Ry, I am considerably more chill.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
When we come back, we're making our predictions for the
top scoreres in week fifteen. How many Rams and Lions
likely to make that list ahead of a likely fantasy
point bonanza had so far find out right after this
brick on Fantasy line, Yeah, pooka, so many. Welcome back
to NFL Fantasy A lot is time to crown our

(34:03):
cardio king of the week, and our research team has
given it out to Bears wide out. DJ Moore with
no Romo dunesday More ran one eighty four yards around
lambeau Field on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Which is great for his heart rate, but not great.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
For fantasy managers because he got one catch for negative
four yards. So Dj, you got your cardio in. But
to quote your friend Adam Ring, that helps no one. Sorry, DJ,
Sorry Ring, Sorry Bears. All right, let's look back at
a board for the cardio king of the week. Darius
Slayton back in week one got the bagel, but it

(34:41):
and we had a better bagel, and Jalen Tolbert in
week five he ran for more yards, but in terms
of total yardage, nobody's come close to touching what Robo
dunes the did in Week nine, two thousand and nine
yards with no fantasy points.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
That might that one might do, that might hold, Let's
go to home.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
So the imperfect situation there for our cardio kings. What
about the perfect lineup for week fourteen? Josh Allen QB
one once again, Harold Fan and the TV won and
Jamier Gibbs the RB one, Brandon Aubrey with a solid game,
the Vikings defense again in JSN.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
It's like a season long honor.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Other than Tony Poller and Michael Wilson who have been
on as of late, let's predict the perfect lineup coming
up for week fifteen and get to the ones.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Who's your QB one right?

Speaker 3 (35:27):
I'm gonna go with Drake May who is playing fantastic
before the teams by this past week.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Now he gets an opportunity going up against the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Patina has been very generous to opposing quarterbacks this season,
and Drake May has nine games with at least two
touchdown passes this season. Only Matthew Stafford has more. So
I'm gonna go with Drake May as my quarterback one
of the week.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Well, I'm gonna go with the guy that is the
other leading candidate in the MVP race. That's Matthew Stafford,
who's been the QB two since Week seven, just on
an all time heater right now and leads the NFL
and touchdown fastest, fourth in passing yards going against Detroit
in the game that I think is going to have
a lot of fireworks. They've also given up a top
two quarterback into the last three weeks.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
You want to talk about a player who's hot as
we switched to the running back position, it's Devon ah
Chan who's had nine games with one or more touchdowns
this season since Week nine, one hundred and forty seven
scrimmage yards per game, and that's comparable to the best
runners and receivers in the league. He's trailing only Jamiir
Gibbs as the running back since Week ten, and he's

(36:29):
had eleven games with ninety or more scrimmage yards this season.
Only Jackson Smith and Jigba has more, and the Steelers
have allowed the most rush yards per game in the
NFL in the last four weeks.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
So I think a Chan is your RB one.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
I do you like a Chan as long as he's
healthing and everything's ready to go, And Mike McDaniel again
said that he would be. And I like Christian McCaffrey
coming off is By. He's had a top two finish
in four of his last seven games. And somebody who
was a little bit of an afterthought in a lot
of fantasy drafts this season, similar to what happened with
sain Kwan Barkley last year, is Risch. McCaffrey was being
drafted at the end of the first round, maybe the

(37:02):
early in the second round.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
I know in my league of record where I held on.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
To the number one seed with one of the worst
performances of all time because Christian McCaffrey was on a buy.
Looking forward to him doing that again, although I don't
need it this week because again I got to buy
so cool. People do need wide receivers, though, Marcus, what
we got.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Well, let's go back to the rams, they'll have pooped
into Kua because he and Matthew Stafford have has been
sort of like that Shaq and Kobe meme where they're
just pan up and you see the two of them
in their purple uniforms. Wide receiver two overall, tied for
the league in NFL in reception seven games and at
least twenty two points seven top twelve weekly finishes. Six
wide receivers have scored at least twenty points against the

(37:39):
Detroit Lions, and he and Stafford have just been an
amazing stack all year long.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
If you were fortunate enough to draft the two of
them together.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I think the wide receiver one. And I'm sorry, folks,
because I know last night might have been a rough
for some of you. Will be Arthur Wan Brown of
the Philadelphia Eagles is on one hundred and more receiving
yards in three straight games. You change a couple of circumstances,
like what would have been a game winning catch at
so Far Stadium on Monday night. He's back into a
top ten wide receiver spot this week. And yeah, it's

(38:09):
the Las Vegas Raiders, the second most targets and receptions
among wide receivers in the last four weeks for aj Brown.
Sound for a little playoff perdict off, because you've got
some tough decisions to make as you want to survive
and advance in the postseason. We're going to help you
make those decisions right now on NFL Fantasy Live. So
we'll start with this one.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Adam Rank. A couple of good quarterbacks, Dak Prescott in
Week fifteen or Rock Purdy. Who do you start? I'm
gonna go with Dak Prescott.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
I think Dak Prescott has been the I don't think
I know he has been my ride or die so
far this season. It's not always been great. I understand that,
but he's had at least nine games with eighteen plus
fantasy points this season. That's tied for the most amongst quarterbacks.
The Vikings. As great as their defense has been anybody
talks about the Blayets and Brian Flores and all that stuff,

(38:56):
they have five interceptions this season.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
That's tied for the second fewest in the NFL. Well,
I'm starting Deck with a lot of confidence.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
All Right, We've got another quarterback conundrum for you, Marcus.
Are you starting bow Knicks or Jordan.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Love in Week fifteen?

Speaker 4 (39:09):
I'm gonna go with Jordan Love, partially because it's large
Japanese automaker palooza or something like that at your local dealership,
but also because the ceiling has been a little bit.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
Higher for Jordan Love.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
The floor has kind of been shaky, but multiple touchdown
passes and seventeen or more fantasy points in three of
his last four games actually looked very good throwing the
football against the Bears this past week. Knicks four straight
games a fewer than seventeen points, just two touchdown passes
since the start of Week ten, and he's not running
nearly as much.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
That's what we loved about.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Him earlier in the season, not making plays with his legs.
So I'm gonna trust Jordan Love in the Packers offense
right now.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Let's go to a running back option for you, Rink.
Are you starting Woody Marx or DeAndre Swift this week?

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Come on, now, We're gonna go with DeAndre Swift.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
I know that the Cleveland Browns have a lot of
great players on the defensive front, but they've been pretty
vulnerable to opposing running backs over the last couple of weeks.
Of Browns have allowed the fifth most targets and receiving
yards to the position. Over the last four weeks, They've
allowed the fifth most Fantasy points per game to running
backs over that time, and you have to believe that
Ben Johnson is going to go out there re establish

(40:10):
the line of scrimmage for the Bears. This week. We're
going to see a run heavy approach. We're also going
to see some more creativity. I'm going to go with
DeAndre Swith with confidence. All Right, another running back decision
for you, Marcus. It's Devin Neil or Kareem Hunt.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Don't really love either of these guys. I'm going to
lean slightly toward Kareem Hunt here. Neither the Chiefs nor
the Saints run the ball particularly well. The Chiefs still
have been far more efficient than the Saints.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
The Chiefs seeing.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
Loaded boxes at a much higher rate than New Orleans.
It's still averaging about twenty five more rushing yards per game,
although you could also argue that some of that is
because Patrick Mahomes has been effective running the ball for them.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
But the quarterback does matter.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
I think this is where Mahomes does give them even
more of an advantage, because even with Kansas City not being.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
As potent as they have been in the past.

Speaker 4 (40:55):
You still have to respect that passing game and that
should be enough to open up a few holes for Kareem.
But either way, if this is your Dilima, you're in
a bad spot this week.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Let's go to the opposite of that situation, because if
you have Jacoby Myers and Michael Wilson these past few weeks,
things are going great, but you can only pick one
rank who would it be?

Speaker 2 (41:12):
You know, I gotta stick with Michael Wilson.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
And again, this is kind of dependent on whether Marlvern
Harrison Junior is going to be playing or not, because
he's been much more effective with Marvin Harrison Junior out.
He's averaged over thirty points per game without Marv. And
so again, if if Marvin Harrison Jr. Is playing, I
think I'm gonna switch did Jacoby Miva right now? Giving
the information that I have here on a Tuesday afternoon,

(41:36):
I'm gonna go with Michael Wilson. I'm gonna hope that
Houston gets out to a big enough lead. That's my
one concern is, like Houston, Houston's got to do their
part by scoring enough points to get Jacoby Brissett into
throwing the ball mode.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
So I need to be helpful.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Yeah, initiate garbage Tom and then the points will fly
up for Michael Wilson. Let's go to another option for you, Marcus,
because Christian Watson has been great. But does a Mecca
Buka get back off the schnod against the Falcons who
you started?

Speaker 2 (42:05):
I'm not really chaunting on that.

Speaker 4 (42:06):
I think I'm going with Christian Watson, who's been playing
some really good football. We talked about it near the
top of the show. He's turned into the Packers wide
receiver one twenty seven percent targets, share thirty six percent
of the air yards the last couple of weeks, I Buka,
after that hot start, has kind of faded single digits
in seven of the last eight games. And shout out
to our pal Matt Harmon, who pointed out that a
lot of the slide has coincided with him going to

(42:28):
the outside and playing more outside Baker Mayfield struggling. So
I like Jordan, love the way he's been throwing the football.
