Speaker 1 (00:11):
It's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Marcus s Grit. I'll be joined by Michael lef
Florio and Adam Rink will break down what we learned
from the Cam Scataboo Jackson Dark Show Thursday night, plus
who you should start and sit in London and a
few players who you can take it to the rank.
Happy Friday, everybody, Welcome to another edition of NFL Fantasy Live.
I'm Marcus Grant. Dad is Adam Rink. That is Michael F.

(00:32):
Florio And a simple question for you, Florio, did you
get scatter booed or did you Scataboo? I scatter booed man.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I know, not the only one in this show who
liked him, but all summer long I.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Was saying he was the Giants running back to draft.
So he's on my team.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
So all my opponents they got scatter booed. It's great
going up against an ASCO alumnus. I did not get Scattaboy.
You're like, oh, I'm so sorry, Charlie. I got Cam
Scattaboo and the week's over. Yeah, bar As, I'm concerned.
Well forks up for everybody who did take advantage of that.
And by the way, for our our friends, the sports

(01:08):
fans of Philadelphia, we understand tough week now of that,
the Flyers came through for oh oh, So, despite what
the gang might say, it's not always deck.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
In on the blue Mini. I gotta make sure he's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
They had no sympathy for the Mets.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I have no sympathy for them, So all right, I'd
love to see that rivalry always endoors. In the meantime,
let's take a look back here what happened last night
at met Live Stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Here we go Thursday, sign of New York NFL football
dead things.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Hand off Scatopy, don't stopthy Fuckstown Giants, creak the plane,
put down Giant.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Turn ci for the first private there tourn out.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Ch Chame gotta be sirred much to cut down on
the ball games?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Why doesn't back click the Giants taking it to the
defending Super Bowl champion.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
One thing we learned from last night's games, apparently the
Giants got a little bit of swag between their quarterback
and their running back. From a fantasy perspective, rank what
else did you learn? You know?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Camp Scataboo was just so great and going out there
getting those three touchdowns. Once your phone starts lighting up
because you have so many shares of camp scataboo, you
know that was my notifications. Those are all camp Scataboo notifications,
all the different leagues that I have him in, and
so you're like, yeah, this is going to go pretty
well for me this week.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I was a little.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Disappointed he finished two yards short of one hundred, which
would have been two additional points for the bonus. Like, hey,
Brian Daball, as you're sitting there like a mad man,
running around trying to get your quarterback out of the cancutson,
this is it.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
This is the move right here and matching the energy.
I love that they.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I love the aura, as the kids say, with this
Giants team going out there hamming it up. This might
be something that we look back on ten weeks from
now and be like, oh, yeah, remember when that happened.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
That was fun.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
As things go awry, But for right now, live in
the moment, which I choose to do. I'm going to
sit here and celberate cams Scataboo. I'm going to enjoy
the victors, the spoils of victory, and hope that it
continues with this giantsy is it crazy crazy times wild times?

Speaker 1 (03:13):
For sure? What did you learn?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Caam Scataboo is amazing, But he's only half of what
has Giants fan so excited. The other half is Jackson Dark.
And I'll take the l for maybe questioning if he
was a start this week because his receivers were hurt,
tough matchup, short week, But I was pumping him up
this summer and I am pumping him up now. Look
I put a sweet out last night after his first

(03:38):
touchdown and I said, he's a QB one. These are
the quarterbacks I'd rather have over him, Jackson, Lamar Daniel's moments.
You see the whole list there, that's ten names in total,
and some of them are even more questionable. So I
think Jackson Dark moving forward, one of three quarterbacks that
have fifty or more rushing yards in their first three starts.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
And sometimes you just see it right, and I think
that is what is happening Jackson Dart right now.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
He has that eighth factor and he's playing at such
a high level that there's not a ton of quarterbacks
I'd rather have than him in fantasy.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
And I think he is a QB one moving forward.
I'm watching him last night. It gave me vibes of
kind of young Russell Wilson. It kind of fits that
they're on the same team. Just the way he moves
in the pocket and makes plays downfield. It just made
me feel like a young Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson. On
the other side, I think we could take a breath,
we can calm down a little bit about the Eagles
pass catchers. Dallas Goddard obviously having these huge game there.

(04:29):
You see that the twenty six fantasy points, but we
got a pretty good game out of aj Brown. I
know it's not maybe what you wanted to spending where
you spent a draft pick on him, but the fourteen
fantasy point, they were able to connect with him downfield.
And even though you didn't get a big number from
DeVonta Smith, they were one missed deep connection away from
him having a really good night as well. So it

(04:50):
does appear that the Eagles realize they have to figure
out their passing game a little bit more, and so
I think this was a step in the right direction.
We saw Smith have the big game last week, got
her Brown with good games, So I think it's going
to continue to get better for the passing game there
in Philadelphia. But let's sort of talk about these these
two teams, kind of put them against one another. Florida.

(05:10):
We saw your list there of quarterbacks, and so you're
still even though Jackson Dart's playing well, are you still
Jalen Hurts over Jackson Dart at this point?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah. I'm really excited for Jackson Dart and he brings
a lot of upside, but Jalen Hurts upside is matched
by very few. And we saw last night right like
the Eagles are gonna do everything in their power to
get the tush push band.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
They did it four times in a row on the
goal line, and that gains.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Hurt such a safe floor and ceiling just one game
this season with fewer than nineteen fantasy points. It's like
Josh Allen, Lamar, Jackson, Jayden Daniels and that's about it
that I think could match Jalen Hurts upside, especially since
he's doing this with leaving the fifteen yard it would
have been a fifteen point play for Devonte Devanta Hurts.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
I'm mess smith A. J. Brown has left the long
one on the field.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Last week, he missed a touchdown with aj Brown last night.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Production is being left.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
On the field and Hurts is still being highly effective
for fantasy.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Then with the running backs ranch, I mean, put Scataboo
against Saquon Barkley. It seemed unthinkable before the season. But
where are you on that right now?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
You know, I know it's weird, but whenever I draft
a player like Camps Kataboo, and I think a lot
of it has to do with going out and where
we drafted him, how you're feeling about it, being caught
up in the moment. If somebody was offered me today,
if they're like, I'll give you Saquon Barkley for Camps Kattaboo,
I would say no.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
I'd be like, now, I'm good. I'm gonna stick with
what I got. I do a mac.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I do react emotionally a lot, and there is something
about watching this guy go off. Being a fan of
his in college. I support the Sun Devils, even though
I don't like the Big twelve realignment thing. But still
it is one of those instances where I truly believe
that even if you know, things don't always go as
well as they're going to go. On Thursday Night, This

(06:55):
is a pretty This seems a lot of fun to watch.
And I think that last or two weeks ago they
were going up against the Chargers. Nobody's like, you can't
start Jackson Dart here again. Like when you looked at
their schedule they were going to play the Chargers, the Saints,
and the Eagles, You're like, maybe they'll win one of them.
The one thing you thought they might win was the
White They lost. They beat the other two teams. So
to me, they've been pretty impressive. And Brian Dable, I

(07:17):
don't know if he might keep us drunk.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I also respect camp Scatta will bring it back twelve
after dark to the NFL. Shout out to him for that.
The International Series continues with the Broncos and the Jets
in Florida. When you're looking at that game, who do
you have your eye on? A great week to start JK. Dobbins,
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
He has just been dominating the groundwork there for the Broncos,
and I don't think he's got enough credit because he
leads the NFL in explosive runs right now, and he
brings such a safe floor. He is either one hundred
rushing yards or a touchdown in every game in this season.
But I think this could be an upside game because
not only have the Jets struggled against the run, they've

(07:54):
allowed the seventh most rushing yards, but they give up
a ton of points. So the chance to get touchdowns
is elevated and the script could be on his side.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
So JK.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Dobbins is someone that I think is a strong start
in Week six.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
One of the starts I'm not so sure on is
Garrett Garrett Wilson. Excuse me, listen. Obviously, if you're playing
in season long fantasy and you use a high draft
pick on Garrett Wilson, you're probably compelled to start him,
except for extenuating circumstances. I'm sure somebody will hit me
up on Twitter or threads or whatever and be like, no, actually, okay, fine,
that's that's fine. But the matchup I don't like it

(08:27):
because the Bronco has been very strong against opposing wide
receivers this season. I was doing some other things when
I was looking for for people and take it to
the rank. I started looking at the way the coverages
work for the Broncos, and you're like, oh, this might
be a play for Garrett Wilson. Then you're like, oh, wait,
Patrick certain plays on this team, So I'm gonna be
very wary of Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
The wildest thing I took away from what you just
said is that you use threads for me like thread
I tried it. It wasn't for me, are you? I
like him An Ingram as a sleeper this week, and
I know he's been disappointed to this part in the season.
All have been banged up a little bit at times.
Sean Payton, though, has expressed a desire to emphasize Ingram
more in the offense. And I know that sometimes we

(09:08):
can't always take Sean Payton at his word, but if
you look over the last couple of weeks, you're starting
to see it in action. He had six total targets
in weeks one and two, thirteen total targets in weeks
four and five, so it looks like bow Knicks is
looking his direction more. On top of it, the Jets
the last two weeks have sort of been beat up
by the tight end position. They've given up the third
most Fantasy points per game to tight ends in that

(09:29):
stretch and given up four touchdowns. So I don't know
if every Ingram has that kind of day. But I
think it's going to be better than what you have seen,
and probably a lot better than what we're getting out
of most tight ends on a weekly basis. Sunday Morning

think of games in London, you'd probably think of the
Jacksonville Jaguars because they've played quite a few of them
over there. This week, they are back at home in
Duvall taking of the Seattle Sea.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
I was just talking about Duval on threads right now.
Oh wow, synergy looking at it all comes together. But anyway, Florio,
if you're looking at this game between the Seahawks and
the Jags, what.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Are you paying attention to? I would say beware of
Kenneth Walker.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Not a straight sit, but Charbonnet has outscored Walker in
three of the four games they have played together, and
in those four games, less than twelve fantasy points per
game for Walker.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Charbonnet is getting the goal on work in steady ground.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Volume that has transformed Walker into a big play, reliant
flex option. Most weeks, I think you could expect somewhere
from ten to twelve fantasy points. Some weeks will hit
a big play, maybe a long touchdown, and it'll be higher.
Other weeks will be a little bit lower. That could
be this week because the Jackson Willow the six few
is fantasy points per game two running backs, So again
it depends on your options, but he is no longer

(10:59):
a guy that you just set and forget.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
The harsh Sharbonny Walkers split has been really frustrating, I
think for a lot of fantasy folks on the other
side of this, though, I say, you can start Brian
Thomas Junior. And it's been a few weeks since we
have sort of felt this way. But you know, even
though the production has maybe been not what you wanted
it to be, there's so many of the underlying metrics
that are good. High route participation twenty three percent, target share,

(11:21):
nearly forty percent of the air yards. If this sort
of thing continues at some point, he and Trevor Lawrence
are going to connect. He's going to get some big plays.
Plus the Seahawks giving up chunk pass plays. We saw
a Mecca Abuca Ricky Piersov have some big games against
this defense, given him nearly eleven air yards per target
to wide receivers. So we'll see did the Jaguars find

(11:41):
something on offense after that win over Kansas City last
week and can they keep it going? I guess a
pretty good defense in the Seattle Seahawks. We will stick
in the NFC West where the Rams go cross country
to take on the Baltimore Ravens and obviously a tough
start for the Ravens which we try to take advantage
of in fantasy. And so for that end, I will
tell you that Matthew Stafford is an absolute must start

(12:02):
this week. A little bit surprising because for a Sean
McVay offense, the Rams throwing it more than they normally do,
but Stafford has been on point to see that the
three hundred passing yards per game that he is averaging.
The Ravens defense obviously is just dealing with a ton
of injuries. They are giving up a lot of big
plays in the passing game. They're ring thirty first against

(12:23):
the pass so far this season, thirteen passing touchdowns allowed.
Three different quarterbacks have had top three weekly finishes. Two
of those three quarterbacks finished as the QB one overall.
So Matthew Stafford absolutely needs to be in your lineups
where you can get him. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I one hundred percent agree. I think he is a
must play this week, which is why I also really
like Devonte Adams. He has gotten a lot of say
volume eight or more targets in four or five games,
but specifically he is their red zone target.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
He leads the.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
NFL in red zone targets, he is second in end
zone targets, and this is a great week for that
because the Ravens ten red zone touchdowns two wide receivers.
That is double every other team in the NFL. So
his strength against their weakness. Yeah, I think it is
a great week to get DeVante Adams in your fantasy lines.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
I have a Stafford Adams stack in one of my
leagues looking forward to that one. Another ANFC West team
with an interesting matchup, the San Francisco forty nine ers
heading down to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers. And
we know for the Bucks we know, no Mike Evans,
but also no Chris Godwin, no Bucky Irving as well,
so three big pieces missing in that Tampa offense. But Florio,
how are you feeling about Baker Mayfield with all that?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, I don't care. It doesn't matter who's not there
for the Bucks. As long as Baker's there, must start option,
especially this week against the forty nine Ers. He is
currently top three amongst quarterbacks and total fantasy points, top
five and fantasy points per game. He leads all quarterbacks
with five games with seventeen or more fantasy points.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
So the floor is rock solid, but the ceiling.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Is higher than ever now that we're seeing him run
consistently even more like he started to do that last year,
he's assuming it even more now. And then lastly, sorry Marcus,
but the forty nine Ers since the Nick Bosa injury,
have created pressure at the lowest rate in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
So if you give Baker Mayfields a time, I like
his chances. Yeah. Pass rush has not been there for
the Niners lately.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
And one of the must starts at the wide receiver
position is a Mecca Abuka, a player that coming into
the season two rookies actually I have three rookies that
I highlighted coming into the season, Camps Kataboo, A Mecca Ubuka,
and Colson Lovely.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Don't worry about the third movie. It doesn't matter. We're
talking about a Mecca a Buka right now.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Five receiving touchdowns this season, the third most fantasy points
by a wide receiver through the first five career games
in the Super Bowl era.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
And you know what the connection with Baker Mayfield is there.
It was almost immediate.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
And this Buccaneers team, this is one of the things
that I think that we don't give enough credit to
how wild the Buccaneers have been playing for the last
number of years. As much as the NFL is up
and down time and time again, this Buccaneers team just
goes out there and wins. And a Mecca Abuca is
just a product of that great organization that got down there.
And obviously if you drafted a Mecca Abuca, you didn't

(15:12):
draft him as your one of your top two wide receivers,
I'm assuming, but he is in your line of each
and every week.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
He's just becoming staple. He's a mus start. At this
point stick around where we'll be previewing every single Sunday
matchup throughout the show, But as we continue, same state,
different team, new quarterback, who this? What will Joe Flacco
do in his debut with the Bengals. We'll look at
that and more when we come back. Some news out

(15:41):
of Cincinnati. Bengals wide receiver Jamar Chase will be questionable
for Sunday's game. According to coach Zach Taylors had missed
today with an illness of something to keep an eye
on as we get closer to the weekend. The Bengals, though,
do have a brand new quarterback, Joe Flacco coming over
from the Cleveland To take a look at this one,

(16:02):
Bengals and Packers break, what are you keeping an eye
on here?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
I'm gonna look at Jordan Love because Jordan Love is
gonna be sitting there looking across the field there and saying, like,
I really lost to Joe Flacco a couple of weeks
ago when he was a quarterback of the Cleveland Browns.
I've got to go out there and get my come up,
and so for me, Jordan Love is a must start.
Coming off the bye week for the Packers. The Bengals
have allowed the second most touchdown passes this season, the

(16:26):
fourth most passing yards per game and a lot of
production of the quarterbacks.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
To Jordan Love is a must start. Yeah, I have
him as a must start as well. I think the
same thing for Jamar Chase.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
And he's dealing with an illness, but if he plays
for the Bengals, he plays for you. Twenty nine fantasy
points and a wide receiver two finish on the week
last week. That's why you never bench Jamar Chase. And
I know some of you were like, well, Joe Flaccoll's
just getting here. I think Joe Flacco was smart enough
to kind of understand this Bengals offense should operate like
a Hey Arnold basketball team. Pass the ball to Tucker,

(16:58):
I mean to Chase. But yeah, that's how this offense
should work this week. Just Jamar Chase targets all the time. Yeah,
I look, I think just stand back there and throw
it up to number one. You're going to be pretty
good if that's what you're going to do this week.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
But we talked about this game. Let's get a little
bit more into a time for our next gen nugget
with our own researcher, next Gen Ken. His mother calls
him kindle. I so if you heard Florial and Rank
give their thoughts on this Bengals Packers game. But Kimmy,
you got a little bit more about that, don't you. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
I want to focus on Tucker Craft this week, and
he draws the Bengals who have already allowed season highs
two three different tight ends this season, first Harold Fan
and Junior, then TJ. Hawkins in in this most recent week,
Sam Laporta. Now, the eye popping number here is that
the Bengals have allowed the most fantasy points per game
to tight end this season. But the reason why they've
allowed the second highest open target rate and the second

(17:51):
most yards after catch per reception to tight ends this season.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Now, this line's up very well for Craft. In the Packers.
They rank third with fifty eight points six percent of.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
Their pass yards this season generated by yards after the catch,
and Kraft leads all tight ends in the NFL with
ten point one yards after the catch per reception this season,
a stat that he led tight ends last season as well.
So I know it's a nasty business trying to project
which Packers pass catcher is going to go off from
week to week, but Craft does lead the packers in

(18:23):
receptions and fantasy points since the start of last season.
So with all that information, I really don't know how
you leave him out of your starting lineup this week.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Speaking of information, didn't I say that yesterday? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (18:34):
But who do you think put those research notes on
your cards on?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
I'm going to go back to my comic book store
where I dish out the insults rather than absorb them.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Came right over. Nice work. Indeed, I'm moving along the
Dallas Cowboys heading down to Carolina to take on the Panthers.
And look, Carolina coming off a nice win last week.
The Cowboys maybe they are finding some things as well.
So we'll take talk a little bit about this winning
I'm started off with terror Row McMillan, who when we
talk about all the rookies so far this season, McMillan

(19:10):
kind of has been lost in the shuffle a little bit,
but it's actually playing some really good football. Twenty five
percent target share down there in Carolina, more than forty
percent of the air yards. And yeah, even though it's
like the Cowboys defense might have come around a little
bit last week, I'm still willing to take the chance
on going against them. They've given up the most receiving
yards and touchdowns to wideouts entering Week six, and we

(19:31):
saw Garrett Wilson kind of have some late, late, late
yards late points there. I don't care when they happen.
They can happen early, they can happen late. They still
count the same. So if I can have a chance,
I'm going to try to slide McMillan into a spot
somewhere in my lineup.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
And it is going to be a revenge game for
Rico O'Donnell, who last week became the third running back
in Carolina Panthers history to rush for more than two
hundred yards in a game. Up CMC was not one
of them. Good luck finding go Google it actually Ken
gave it to me. It's Williams and Jonathan Stewart. But
the Cowboys have allowed the six most fantasy points per

(20:04):
games to running backs this season, They've allowed the most
receiving yards to the running back position.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
And one final note, rank sig, what kind of what
are you writing here? This is I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
I wanted to give you credit for pulling that thing out,
but now ric O'Donnell is an excellent start this week
against this Cowboys defense.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Yeah, he told him to buckle up, So we'll see
if he pays off on that. Coming out of this

Kyler Murray is practicing today after missing practice this week
to a foot injury he suffered in week five. His
status for the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Culture remains uncertain,

(21:06):
but he is expected to play if he continues to
shrend upwards. In other quarterback news, this time it's a
quarterback who is not on the practice field today, and
that would be Raven's QB Lamar Jackson, who's now missed
six straight practice sections with a hamstring injury. All signs
point to Cooper Rush getting to start once again in
week six, So Ray looking at that Baltimore situation. If

(21:28):
Lamar Jackson does sit this one out, how does that
affect your decision on.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Some of the other skill position guys. You know, I'm
not as optimistic with a lot of these players. Mark
Andrews would probably be one of the exceptions. I would
feel a little bit more comfortable with him. I've actually
got to start Mark Andrews in a number of spots
because of some bye weeks and some injuries, So I
will go I will go in that direction in a
few spots. I guess I find this whole thing fascinating
because you got to look at the long term. Obviously,

(21:53):
there's a bye week for Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
What is going to happen? Is he going to return
after the bye?

Speaker 3 (21:59):
I also can't help but think about Shador Sanders not
wanting to go to Baltimore to back up Lamar Jackson, Like, hey, buddy,
you would probably be uh, you would probably be the
starting quarterback this week instead of being the third guy
in Cleveland behind Dylan Gabriel and the other dude whoever
that Zapy Bailey ZAPPI. You know that Devin Stefanski was
very very vague about that. So interesting situation all the

(22:21):
way around.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, Ravens fans hate me even though I keep picking
them to win the division even with how things are going.
But this week I think it is a week you
could potentially sit Derek Henry with no Lamar. Last week
he saw very few light boxes. Team are loading up
the line of scrimmagers, a banged up all on there.
Most of his metrics were, if not he worse as
a Raven, one of his bottom.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Two or three performances as a Raven.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
And then specifically in yards before contact, third fewest in
any game ever as a Raven, the Rams allow the
fifth fewest yards before contact two running backs plus when
the Ravens fall behind, we tend to see more Justice
Hill and that seems a realistic outcome.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
This week against a strong Rams offense. Yeah, things are
looking rough in Baltimore right now for the Ravens. So
we'll see how it goes this week. But we get
back to our game previews. We head down to South
Beach for the Chargers and the Dolphins, and A Rick
what you got here?

Speaker 3 (23:14):
I'm gonna say you can go ahead and start the
wi Ladd McConkie, I know a lot of people have
watched his Quinton Johnson has taken over a bigger role
in this offense, but Lad McConkie is still getting a
lot of targets. He's still running a lot of his
routes out of the slot. He had two end zone
targets in Week five after having none in the first
four games of the season. He still has the highest

(23:35):
target share amongst the wide receivers this season, and of course,
the Dolphins have allowed the ninth most yards per targets
to wide receivers this year.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
So for me, I know that it's been disappointing.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
I know a lot of us use expensive draft capital
on Ladd mccakie, but we still must continue to start
him week in and week up.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah, I think Ladd and all the other Chargers receivers
in play this week, which means I'm starting Justin Herbert
in this one. And what I really love about Herbert
is he's running more a career high thirty one rush
yards per game. He's already halfway to his career high
number in rushing yards plus fantastic matchup. The Dolphins have
allowed the fourth most rushing yards and most rushing touchdowns

(24:16):
two quarterbacks. They've also allowed the third most fantasy points
per game to the position. In fact, Bryce Young was
the only quarterbacks and not finished top five against them
this year. So I know it's been a little bit
more down than we've wanted for Justin Herbert, but this
feels like a good week to get him in your
starting lineup.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
We will stay with an AFC West team, the Kansas
City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions in which should be
a really fun game on Sunday night. On top of it,
pretty the uniform matchup as well. I'm looking at a
sleeper and it's Taekwon Thornton, who he had a couple
of big games early in the season. I didn't think
it was going to be sustainable, but really has endured
through the first five games for Kansas City that was

(24:54):
only averaging five targets a game, which isn't particularly great,
but he has proven to be the big downfield threat
for Patrick Mahomes in this offense twenty three and a
half air yards per target, three receiving touchdowns, which actually
leads the team right now, and going against a Lions
defense giving up the seventh most fantasy points per game
to wide receivers, there's the potential for this to be

(25:15):
a score fest with both teams moving up and down
the field, so a chance for Tae Kwon Thorton to
make some big plays in this one.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
For that reason, Marcus, I think Xavier Worthy is just
a must start option this week. He has seen at
least eight targets in every game since he's returned, and
in that span he is the most end zone targets
well in the last two weeks plus, I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
I think it could be a.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Score fest, a very high scoring game, one where the
Chiefs could potentially be chasing points. And that's huge because
the Lions they are without their top two cornerbacks this week,
so there's a chance for the Chiefs receivers to eat.
Plus Worthy stays in play after next this week, but
he becomes a lot less must starty after Rashi Rice returns.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, curious how this offense works when she Rice is
back for a little bit more on this game, and
because it is the sea block that gets us to
seize the season presented by Caesars Sports Book and according
to caesar Sports Book, here are the most likely players
to score the first touchdown during this week's Sunday Night Showdown.
Between the Lions and the Chiefs. Jamiir Gibbs top of
the list, followed by David Montgomery and a'mon Ross Saint Brown,

(26:18):
then a couple of Chiefs after that, Kareem Hunt and
Xavier Worthy with even odds there of those guys, or
maybe somebody off menu, Floria, who are you keeping an
eye on? Not a single Sea name to pick to
keep the alliteration going, but I'm.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Gonna go with Jamiir Gibbs here five touchdowns in his
last four games. The Chiefs and that span have allowed
four touchdowns two running backs, and he has taken over
this backfield. I know Montgomery still gets used near the
goal line, but he is seeing so much volume. In fact,
I don't think there's a run defense out there.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
That could stop him.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
He's the only running backs to have a real big
Fantasy day against the Browns. So I know Gibbs you
took him early for a reason. I think he has
a big game this week.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
I was Seized the season present by Caesars Sportsbook. New
users can bet one dollar to boost their next twenty
bets by one hundred percent. Must be twenty one or older.
See Caesars dot com. Slash promos for full terms Wiki
mark gain previews. Rolling along, we had the indie where
the Colts taking on the Arizona Cardinals. Here in week
six and rank, who are you paying attention to?

Speaker 3 (27:19):
I'm gonna go to Tyler Warren as a must start.
There was a time years ago whenever the Arizona Cardinals
were playing like, oh, starret your tight ends against the Cardinals.
The Cardinals are still pretty generous against opposing tight ends,
allowing the ninth most yards per targets the tight ends
this season. They've allowed them fifth most receiving yards per
game to the position as well. But Tyler Warren has

(27:40):
really emerged is one of the most consistent tight ends
in fantasy football. He's had at least eleven Fantasy points
in four games this season. He is one of three
tight ends who can claim that three hundred and seven
receiving yards is also the most amongst tight ends.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
So this is a must start week in and week out. Yeah.
I love me some Tyler Warren.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
I also think Marvin Harris is a good play this week.
Not only have his yards climbed in three straight games,
The Cardinals in recent weeks have.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Been vocal about getting him the ball more.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
He spoke about this week about how this is a
big game for him personally against his dad's former team.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
And I know we obviously want Kyler Murray to play,
but even if.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
He's out, Jacoby Brissett metric wise is close and sometimes
exceeds Murray over the recent seasons on passes to out
wide wide receivers and on deep passes, and that is
what we want for Marvin Harrison Junior. So I think
he is very much so in play this week.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Yes, I think they're using him in a different and
better way. And I definitely like what I've seen in
the last couple of weeks. Rivalry game in the AFC North,
it's the Browns and the Steelers. The florio which you got.
I think you sick Jalen Warren.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Because last I checked, he is a running back and
he's facing the Browns this week. The Browns have allowed
the second fewest rushing yards, fourth fewest receiving yards, and
second fewest fantasy.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Points per game two running backs. They do not allow
long runs.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
They've shut down some huge names at the running back
position last season.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Warren did not reach.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Seventy five yards in either game against him, and that's
something that I think is a real fear coming off
of that huge game he had in London. Do we
see Kenneth Gainwell a little bit more involved? So I
know he's a little bit more option based, but if
you have another option, I think I would try to
get away from Jalen Moore.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
I don't, at least on one of my teams, I
have to start him. I got David and Joku as
kind of a sleeper. I know it's sort of a
borderline sleeper call. Either way, I think he should be
in your lineup this week. What we saw from Dylan
Gabriel in his first start that he went very tight
in heavy About forty percent of his targets were split
between David and Joku and Harold Fan and nine of
them going to Endjoku there. They just like getting him

(29:44):
in open spaces in the middle of the field. He
presents a big, surehanded target for the young quarterback, and
the Steelers sort of mid against tight ends this year,
so I think there's an opportunity if Gabriel, especially if
he gets pressure from that Steelers front, to get the
ball out quickly to David in Djoku sticking in the AFC,
the Tennessee Titans heading to Vegas to take on the Raiders,

(30:05):
and I'm gonna say a thing that I don't think
we've been able to say all year. Start Calvin Ridley.
It has been a struggle for Ridley in the Titans
passing game so far this season, but finally at his
first big game of the year last week Week five,
he had one hundred and thirty one receiving yards. In
weeks one through four, he had a total of one
forty one, so very nearly doubled his season total in

(30:28):
one game. Season high ten targets, five receptions going against
the Raiders, who have they bottom ten pass defense, second
most receptions allowed the wide outs entering the week, giving
up a ton of fantasy points per game to the
wide receiver position. So it feels like, look, I don't
know that they've found something necessarily with Calvin Ridley, but
it does feel like the matchup lends itself to him
backing up good games. You know, that's very useful information.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
I don't think it's useful to come out and say
that Ashton gent needs to be started at each and
every week. You kind of know that, but a couple
of things I wanted to highlight here is during this
week Pete Carroll seemingly through Tip Kelly to the bus
when talking about Geno Smith, where he's like, yeah, he's
Geno's not calling the place. I'm like, yeah, but Geno's
actually the guy throwing it to the dudes and the
other jerseys. But I also want to point out of
what a great matchup it is against the Tennessee Titans.

(31:11):
We kind of overlook when we're seeking out these informat
or when we're seeking out these matchups that are really
working in favor of our opposing running backs. The Tennessee
Titans have allowed the most scrimmage touchdowns to running backs
this season with nine. Ash And Genty of course, recently
had a three touchdown game against the Chicago Bears. The
Titans have allowed the fourth most rushing yards per game
this season. Now, obviously this works out because you were

(31:31):
starting Ashton Genty anyways, But as we're starting to figure
out streaming running backs and things of that nature, remember
the Tennessee Titans is going to be a favorable matchup
to running backs moving forward. And they have been involved
with some trade roupers too, so they could be shipping
off some of their defensive linemen, So something to keep
an eye on.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Moving forward with the Tennessee Titans could be a sneaking
good fantasy matchup because neither of these defenses are particularly
very good. We'll see.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
So we go now for it's in the afternoon window
when Patrick Claybone and I will be doing and Gain
Day Live and they're like, oh, there's all these boring games.
Like Patrick and I be toopping it up about that game.
So make sure you're tuning in.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Go check that out for sure. Going from Sin City
to the Big easy. Now it is the Saints and
the Patriots, Florio, what do you like here? Patriots running backs? Right,
because the issue so far this year had been they
were using three. We could navigate to something you say
a lot, Marcus, but three makes it murky.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
And unfortunately with Antonio Gibson out and now the rest
of the way that leads to and I do expect
Demandre Stevenson to be the lead back. I'm curious is
who Mike Rabel's gonna blame this week if he fumbles.
Maybe it's the ball boys turn, but I think more
work is in favor for Treveon Henderson as well, and
he needs to be a little bit better, but give
him some work on the outside where he has excelled.

(32:47):
Maybe he gets in a rhythm now with more touches.
I just also love the matchup. Saints are in the
top five and targets and rush attempts allowed. Two running
backs they've struggled against each so I think both are
in play as flex options.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
And maybe they could work their way up a little
bit better because they do have a favorable schedule coming up.
And it wouldn't be the first time somebody of the
Patriots organization blamed the ball boy on the other side,
I'm telling you can start Juwan Johnson. I'm going back
to that well again. I know the last couple of
weeks we've seen him have a drop off in targets,

(33:20):
but I think this is a good matchup for him.
The Patriots the top five most favorable matchup for tight
ends this season. The last couple of weeks they have
really been torched by the position. Eighteen catches, two hundred
and five yards and two touchdowns allowed to tight ends.
The only thing we have to avoid. There was a
lot of Taysom Hill nonsense last week let's avoid some
of this Taysom Hill nonsense this week, and if he's back,

(33:43):
do that that. I think Dwan Johnson could have a
good game against the New England Patriots. Speaking of the Patriots,
Drake Man Stefan Diggs seem to have New England back
in the mix. So what Patriot prediction does Adam Rank
have in store for us? Find out that surprise answer,
come back and we take it to the rank. Knew

Thank you so much, Marcus. That's right. Last week we
left in the green. We're feeling pretty good about that.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
So we're bringing it right back and we're gonna start
with that early Sunday morning game for a lot of you.
And let's talk about Mason Taylor Mason. I'm sure you
know the entomology of your name, Mason as in John
Patrick Mason, the greatest British operative of all time.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
But I really love this matchup. One of the things
that I was looking for.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
We were looking at Garrett Wilson because of the coverages
that the Broncos run are actually favorable for somebody like
Garrett Wilson. But again, as we talked about earlier on
the show, Patrickster tans out there.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
This is why we're pivoting the Mason Taylor.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
He's had at least sixty five receptions in there's sixty
five receiving yards and is in the last two games,
which is why we feel comfortable saying this week that
Mason Taylor will have more than thirty nine and a
half receiving yards and.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Guess what you can take you to the rank? Oh, Chunky,
that was right there.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Let's go move on to New England. Drake May was
pretty good last week. He was good as a quarterback.
The fantasy production wasn't quite there. Obviously, he's going out
there making the most out of his connection with Stefan Diggs.
We love to see that going on. But one of
the key elements of Drake May's game that a lot
of people kind of overlook is his ability.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
To run the football.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
I think in this matchup there's gonna be opportunities for
him to go out there.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Make use of his legs. So I believe that Drake May.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
Will rush for more than twenty one and a half
yards and guess what you can take you to the rank?

Speaker 1 (35:49):
All right?

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Speaking of the Patriots, I went to let's call it
Stefan Diggs. Steffan Diggs is a player that coming into
this season I was not very excited about. As a
matter of fact, I had a conversation with Mantai Teow
and I was like, man, I don't take Steffan Diggs.
I told him to take on Meca Buka. But if
he would have taken both of them, he would have
been great. But this is where we can get an
opportunity to win this back, to get back into mantis

(36:11):
good graces. And I say that this week as a
guy who's been one of the most targeted receivers, been
targeted on more than fifty percent of his route since
Week four, Steffan Diggs will have more than four and
a half receptions this week. And guess what you're gonna
take it to the rank?

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Right? Oh, that's good? Watch off and SF all right,
And finally let's go to green Bay. Green Bay.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
You know what's funny about green Bay is they talk
about what great fans they have.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
They're like, oh my god, we have a season chickened
waiting list till twenty ninety seven.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
And yet if you do not have a Wisconsin address,
you cannot buy tickets for Game five.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Oh I wonder why.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Maybe it's because they have fake fans. But what is
not fake is the production of Tucker Craft, who's been
amazing next Gen Ken gave me the goods last yesterday,
talked about it earlier today.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
So I say, at any given moment, Tucker Craft is.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
To score a touchdown and guess what, You're gonna take
it to the rank, right, And that, ladies and.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Gentlemen, is this week's Oh my god, that's that's like
a foul ball by Craig Council.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
There.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
It is take it to the rank, Marcus, take it
away or total a video or whatever we're doing. We're
doing something. We are actually talking about some guys who
were the hottest ads in week six. You see that,
Jake Tungus, Michael Carter, Shad Why Kendrick born A j. Barner,
all very popular off the waiver wire going into Week six,

(37:30):
and so we wanted to see if we can keep
that going. It's time for a little bit of fantasy
zen and so to do that, we bring in our
own fantasy spiritual Shurfa, the one and only Michael F.
Floria for a little bit of go with the flow
and so Floria, we're taking a look at these guys
who were the hottest ads in week six. Wish one
of them, or maybe more than one of them, are

(37:52):
the guys who will go with the flow and stay
hot here this week. Thanks man.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Look earlier this week I had to go to the
store for a new Lava lamp and someone stopped me
and they were like, are you a hippie for Halloween?
I was like, no way, man, this is a way
of life. And then naturally I told them to play
Michael Carter this week. I know Arizona was totally not
filled with peace, love and harmony last week, but it
is going to mean good things and more touches for

(38:21):
Michael Carter, which is just totally groovy man.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I mean demur cod no am I right? Anyway, Carter
was a groovy top ten.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Running back last week, and the Colts they have struggled
this year against the run.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
So I think all you fantasy managers out there.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Need to just go with the flow this week and
start Michael Carter, and then I might be all about
love and sharing and stuff, but.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
They're not that way in Tampa Bay. In fact, all
of the work goes to Rashad White.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
So I think Rashad White is a good play because
for fantasy, that's far out Man and the forty nine ers.
They've been allowing nearly five yards per carry since Nick
Bosa was hurt. They struggle with explosive runs. They can
even be had in the passing game. So call me Jesse,
because I'm riding with mister White this week, and I

(39:12):
think all of you should go with the flow and
get him in your starting lineup.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Thank you, Michael. We appreciate that moment of zen and
hopefully it helps bring you fantasy peace here. In Week six,
the NFL and the American Cancer Society created Crucial Catch

us some of your fantasy questions heading into this race,
so we'll try to answer some of them. So we'll
get a roll in here, Florio, Mark Andrews or Jake Ungus.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
I'm gonna go with Mark Andrews because they're facing the Rams,
and as Lakwan Jones tells us all the time, the
Rams can't cover tight ends.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
All right, we'll move on to the next one for you.
Rank bow Nicks or Caleb Williams.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Oh my gosh, yeah, whoever, whoever, I'm not gonna I'm
not gonna incite either one of these fan bases. I'm good, Yeah,
you're good. You gotta make those decisions yourself. I think
both of them have a lot of upside this week.
If you're ready to get up at six thirty in
the morning to go watch bo Nixt play, then that's fine.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
But I really like Caleb this week.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
I'm interested to see what Ben Johnson is going to
be doing coming out of the bye week. If you
if you remember a Week one against the Minnesota Vikings,
the Bears came out like a house of fire, which
shows you when you give Ben Johnson a little bit
of time, you got to go out there.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
I love Rank preaching self sufficience, by the way to
get one more in here? How insane am I to
consider starting May over Josh Allen with Diggs as my
wide receiver too. I don't think you're super crazy, but
it's Josh Allen. I mean, they don't overthink this. You're
gonna start Josh Allen, but we do, like Drake May
here on this show. Yeah, all right, so you know,
those are some questions that you guys said us. Hopefully

(41:07):
it helps you for this. It goes over time now
for Monday headlines today. If you're looking into the paper
into the future Florida, what are you gonna see? Yeah,
I'm not really a hippie.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
I'm just on the lamb right now because Rico's after me,
and that's what's happening in Dallas.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Rico's gonna nap the Dallas mob.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
All right, raight, what you got San Francisco forty nine
ers half baked in Tampa Bay. Yeah, man, We're gonna
go down to Eboys City, have a great time, but
lose to the Buccaneers.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
There relies I kire Cool from that movie. Because we're
on TV. For me, I'm gonna know there's a Ramilly

Kyri Williams all have big days against that Baltimore Ravens defense.
