Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow. Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy
Football Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I'm Patrick Claybahn. I'll be joined by Marcus Grant and
Adam Rick.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Coming up today, We've got some debate about the future
of Cowboys receiver George Pickens, with Ceedee Lamb back.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
In our lineups.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Plus, Adam has a special edition of.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Chill Bruh with a look at.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Some young stars that will bounce back from a bad
Week seven, and an elite wide out you can try
to trade for here on the Fantasy Football Podcast. Hey right,
Welcome to NFL Fantasy I love Patrick Claven here kicking
off Week eight with Adam Rink and Marcus Grant after
a great doubleheader where we got some late football, right,
I love the late football.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
You know what I don't love is everybody on the
East Coast belly aching about it. You know what we
get all these international games that start six thirty in
the morning. Do we complain about it? No, we just
get up and watch football. So, and I don't mean
to call it anybody out, but let's just say that
somebody whose name rhymes with JJ Watt was complaining about
the Highlands getting to go to bed. JJ it's mine.
(01:07):
The rest of us want to stay up and enjoy
some football.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
I mean you could just, you know, get a subscription
to say NFL Plus, and then you can watch the
condensed games after the fact. It takes you forty five minutes.
You get everything you need to know. It's that simple.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, you're also going to access to live, local.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
And primetime games, and you can get NFL Network, whichhow
us like us keep the NFL and reached out to
the NFL Plus. Let's discuss those Monday night football games
that we saw last night. Jamir Gibbs got another career
highlight against the Bucks.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You know what, Patrick, I don't want to do this,
and I don't want to invoke names of legends past,
but when I think when I see Jamir Gibbs, I
think of a guy who played for Detroit who wore
the number twenty. Oh yes, I'm talking about Billy Simms.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
He reminds.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Also, I don't want to get crazy yet.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
No, we're working our way up this list.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Jamiir Gibbs is fantastic, close to forty Fantasy points in
this one, nearly unstoppable. Immediately when this game started, the
guy already had like a hundred fantasy points, it felt
like with that huge run and is seemingly one of
the most unstoppable players in the league when you think
about it too.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Whenever we're matching.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Up guys against clee like, oh, you can't start this guy.
Nobody has done well against it except for Jamier Gibbs
and Jamiir Gibbs continues to do it week in a
week out to the point of next year. And I
know we're getting ahead of ourselves, but for a lot
of us who have injury plague rosters already, penciling him
in is one point zero one.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
You know, if we're going to complain about start times
of things, how about those of us on the West
Coast who still have obligations with family and work. Before
you can get down and watch the game. Because I
got home and I'm on RUSS they product already scored
a touchdown. That's how quickly it happened in that ballgame.
Had another fantastic night, though, did he six catches, eighty
six yards and the touchdown on ten targets. He's had
(02:53):
four games this year with twenty or more fantasy points.
He leaves the league in receiving touchdowns on pace for
seventeen if you believe in those sorts of things. Five
games this year with one hundred receiving yards and or
a touchdown. He's been fantastic, and everybody was sort of watching, Oh,
Dwight's take him late first round. Yes, yes, you take him.
You should have taken him late first round this year.
You should take him probably even higher in the first
(03:13):
round next year because he just is that dude.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
A great performance about the lines on a night where
we thought they might actually be the less injured team,
but as the game went on, it was a lot
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This coming from head coach
Todd Bowles in the postgame. Mike Evans is expected to
miss most of the remainder of the twenty twenty five
season with a broken clavical also suffered a concussion last night,
and they will be without expecting to not have Bucky
(03:39):
Irving in Week eight with a foot and shoulder injury,
as well as Chris Godwin not expected to play against
the Saints with that phibula injury. Oh yeah, and Baker
Mayfield was seen limping after the game.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
That's a lot going on in Tampa Bay, ring Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
It's a really a tough go for Tampa Bay this
week because you know, coming into this contest, Baker Mayfield
was considered one of the MVP candidate It's of the year,
but just couldn't get things going, finding not being able
to find some of his receivers, making some uncharacteristic bad
throws in this one, and it was just one of
those performances where you look at it, especially when you're
(04:13):
going up against a team like Detroit, we just write
it off like that.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
These days happen.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I know it's difficult for these fan bases who now
want to turn on their quarterbacks and their coaches after
just one week, but these things happen in the NFL.
It's really now incumbent on the Buccaneers to come back
to Tampa Bay. I think they have a bye week
coming up. They have a bye week, Kendall, but they
know that they don't They've got the Saints.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
So yeah, that's right. They got the Saints this week,
so they got to.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Rally together and try to get it back. Obviously, a
Mecca Buka returning was a huge boost. Obviously, that's somebody
they're going to be relying on over the next couple
of weeks, Test Johnson, We're going to be talking about
a lot, so you know, rough go for the Buccaneers,
but not ready to write them off just quite yet.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Niners fans looks at that injury report and just shrugs. Anyway,
as you look at that, though all these injuries, Test
Johnson has stepped up in the absence of some of
those other players there in Tampa Bay. And I know
after last week's game against the forty nine Ers, a
lot of fantasy folks were trying to figure out which
of the Johnson's it's going to be as it tes
as it can. It looks like Tesz Johnson. Those seems
to be the guy nine targets last night. He's gone
(05:16):
back to back games where they touched them, and over
the last couple of weeks he's gone from a six
percent target share in weeks one through five to a
sixteen percent share of the last couple of games. Now,
as we see no Mike Evans for maybe the rest
of the season, potentially know Chris Godwin, certainly in the
short term, even a mecha Abuka didn't look completely right
last night, I think you can see that target share
(05:37):
go up then we've got the later game in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
The Seahawks can't build the.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Entire plane out of JSN, can they ran?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
They sure can.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
We talked about this last week on upon further review,
that we need to start having the conversation of Jackson
Smith and Jigba being the best wide receiver in the league,
at least being in the conversation with guys like Jamar
Chase and Justin Jefferson.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
It's really itself.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Over the last couple of weeks, he's had at least
one hundred and twenty receiving yards in three off that's
nice to you. I mean, like, listen, it's Jackson Smith
and Jibba. People are seeing this. He's had at least
one hundred and twenty receiving yards in three consecutive games.
He's had over one hundred yards in five of seven.
One of those games he had like ninety six and
I think his bad game he was somewhere right around
(06:21):
eighty receiving yards. So it has been tremendous. As a
matter of fact, he leads the NFL in receiving yards.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
By a lot.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
He is well ahead of guys. He has eight hundred
nineteen receiving yards this season. The next closest is Jamar
Chase with six twenty nine. That is a huge gap.
And the one thing about Sam Darnold, we saw it
last year when he was doing this with Justin Jefferson,
so it should have stood the reason that he was
going to do it with Jackson Smith and Jigba. Who's
just going to continue to go out there and crush
(06:50):
it this season and.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Ap here's the parts of the plane that aren't made
out of Jackson Smith and Jigma are filled in by
Zach sharbona nineteen and a half points last night. But
he's really a super frustrating player on in the fantasy
aspect because yeah, he's getting more snaps than Kenneth Walker,
but generally getting fewer touches than Walker. He's not nearly
as explosive. You can't really count on him to break
(07:12):
a big one like you can with Walker, but he
is getting all the gold line work, and so it's
a situation where it's hard to start him because touchdowns
are fickle beasts. But it's also hard to bench him
because you know, when the Seahawks get down inside the
five yard line, it's twenty six that's going to get
the football. So you have to expect these games with
about fifty total scrimmageyards, but a couple of touchdowns always
in the works for Sharboney.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Let's go to the other sideline where it was a
rough go. Nico Collins was in heavy traffic all game,
got ten targets, eventually left the game with a concussion
in the fourth quarter. As the Texans offensive struggles against
well everyone except the Ravens a couple of weeks ago.
Continued Hopefully Nico recovers well, but one of the bright
spots a few The only bright spot for the Texans
(07:56):
offense last night. Really, the only thing that worked was
getting the ball to Schultz off play action in the flats.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
He had ten targets.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
He caught nine of them for ninety eight yards eighteen
point eight fantasy ports. He was the tight end five
season high. Heyay, Texans offense having some real issues. So
that is it for Week seven. Congratulations to those who
got wins and for those who lost.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
This time to look forward.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Let's spin it ahead to the ones who will be
the top at their position.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Who's the QB one.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Right, I'm gonna go with Jalen Hurts, who re announced
his candidacy for MVP with a monster game against the
Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
On a Sunday.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Now he's got the New York Giants, a team that
has allowed the third most Fantasy points per game to
quarterbacks this season. They just allowed forty points to bow
Knicks and Weeks AFO.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
That was all in the fourth quarter. That was all
in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Imagine if Jalen Hurts tries for the entirety of the game,
who knows, who knows what might happen.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
But this is one of the things about the Eagles.
We saw this last year.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
They went through their little stretch where they are not
playing some they were not playing great football, and then
all of a sudden they went on a huge win streak,
and I anticipate that to happen again. They're going to
build off the win on Sunday, They're going to destroy
the Giants, and then they're going to go out there
and anybody who is fretting about Jalen Hurts over the
last couple of weeks, it's all going to be for
not well.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Mike. QB one this week is the QB one overall,
and that's Patrick Mahomes, who right now is about twenty
five points clear of Jalen Hurts at number two, has
been fantastic this year and this battle station in Kansas
City looks to be fully operational. He's finished in the
top seven six different times this year. Going against a
Washington defense, it's been really friendly. Six most fantasy points
(09:37):
per game allowed to quarterbacks this season, and throwing the
fact that Jayden Daniels dealing with that hamstring injury. Will
see if he's able to go, but certainly that takes
a big chunk out of the Commander's offense. So it
could be it's a situation where if they can't move
the ball, they keep giving it back to Mahomes. That's
only going to give him more opportunity to put up
fantasy points.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Two good quarterback Austins there.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I'll go to running backs, and you mentioned a friendly
the Dejon Robinson is playing a team that's played has
seen five running backs score twenty points against them. They've
given up two hundred and twenty nine rushing yards over expected.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
That the worst in the league.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, Jhon Robbinson's playing the Miami Dolphins and you're starting
Bjon Robinson.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
But you're starting everyone against the Dolphins, I think is
gonna be the RB one once again.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
I'm gonna go with Jonathan Taylor, who is playing the
Tennessee Titans for the second time this season. In Week three,
he posted over thirty two fantasy points. As a matter
of fact, in his last two games against the Tennessee Titans,
he has posted over thirty fantasy points. Jonathan Taylor is
going to go out there and take advantage of this matchup.
And really this it's kind of interesting to be because
(10:42):
Jonathan Taylor was one of those running backs who was
drafted at the end of the first round, early second round.
It reminds me a lot of what happened with Saquon
Barkley last year. I think next year your strategy should
be be at the end of the first round, take
a running back who was once good but had a
down year, and then reap through away. It's that simple, Patrick,
he found the formula. But this is such a great
matchup for Jonathan Taylor. I think this is the easiest
(11:05):
choice I've made all week.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
All Right, let's get the wide receiver one, Marcus.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
Let's go Jamar Chase because why not. I mean, it's
Jamar Chase, And for all of us, not us, all
of you out there who might have been fretting a
couple of weeks ago, about no I started Jamar Chase,
Sam got Joel. Yes, you're starting Jamar Chase because of
things that last week that he did. He leads to
the league in targets. He's third in receiving yards. He
has forty five targets in his last three games. Yeah,
I know he had twenty plus in his last one,
(11:30):
but he has as many targets in his last three
games as Tyler Warren has all season long. About forty
percent of Joe Flacco's pass attempts have gone toward number one.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Like I said at the start of this, right, I
don't really care about the matchup. He is Jamar Chase.
We could put him in this spot every single week
and nobody's really going to argue with it because in
the range of outcomes, it's always there that he could
finish as the top wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yes, so good on our offense now that has Joe
Flacco under center, and maybe in hindsight, Jake Browning just
couldn't do that. I will go off the board and
take George Pickens as the wide receiver one. I know
that this is Denver Broncos. Patricks or TAM's going to
be on somebody. They move both Heat and Cde Lamb
around and there's only one Patrick, Tam and Riley Moss
has been targeted almost more than anybody in the league.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
He's the top five in.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Terms of getting targeted because of who's playing on the
other side. A lot of small window balls that have
been very successful for George Pickens.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
I think he'll have a chance to do that and
be the wide receiver one this week. You convinced me,
all right, I'm putting put him back into my line
up right now. Just I just benched him.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
If I can sell Adam right that, I could sell
all of you more.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
To come here.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
On NFL Fantasy Live, Jackson Dart has three top ten
Fantasy finishes in four weeks as the.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Starter in New York.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Is it time to start thinking of him as an
every week lineup?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Lock?
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Marcus Grant separates the reel from the mirage next on
NFL Fantasy Lived.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
To the right snap Keat, give me your swift out
out the fuck questioning it at the end zone touchdown touchdown.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Bears got a boy.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Ben Jackson, aggressive rod the football right there and it's
twelve nothing, Scar's the.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
Lead at an eleven yard DeAndre Swift touchdown?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Or on? What a wait for DeAndre Swift? But is
it like a Shyamalan movie? Is there a twist at
the end?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Will you actually enjoy it and be upset about it
for years afterwards? I'm for real or mirage? With Marcus Grant,
as we sort through what's to really believe, we'll start
with DeAndre Swift?
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Was that real or mirage?
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I'm gonna say real. It's it's more sixth sense than
Lady in the Water if we're gonna go that way
with it, right. The thing about about Swift, the usage
has been pretty consistent all season long, usually about fifteen
to twenty opportunities per game, and it's not a fairly
stable floor of about ten points per week. But it
seems now coming out of the by the offensive line
is kind of finding a rhythm in terms of run blocking,
(13:55):
and we've seen Swift get closer to his ceiling. He's
had more than twenty Fantasy points in concept of weeks.
They're still trying to figure out how to get DJ
more and more involved in the passing game. Romo Donze
has sort of been missing an action the last couple
of weeks, but it does seem like things are starting
to click with DeAndre Swift sort of the way that
we thought they would before the season. Kind of looking more.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
You know.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
I hate to say he's in that Jamiir Gibbs role
there in Chicago and Ben Johnson's office, but it looks good.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Which is funny things when you think about Jamier Gibbs
coming in to fill the DeAndre Swift role.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Here we are years later.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Let's go over to Arondez Gatstonate a great game over
in sofar stadium.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Was that real or mirage?
Speaker 4 (14:31):
I need Adam Rank to put on his ear muffs.
I'm gonna say it's a mirage, but like, you know,
there's something, there's some inklings of reality there Riot. I mean,
the target share has been real issue. I mean, he
had nine in Week seven. He's had three games with
at least seven targets.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
But a couple of.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Things are sort of different that I don't think you
can count on. His average depth of target was almost
eleven yards. This past week against Indianapolis, it was about
six and a half and all the other games he's played,
not to mention the fact that it was a favorable matchup.
The Colts have been very friendly towards tight ends. Also
the fact that because the Chargers or the Savannah Banana
is depending on your perspective, because they were trailing so
(15:09):
big they had to throw the football, they had to
be a little bit more aggressive. I don't think this
sort of thing happens every week, because you know, don't forget,
he's also still competing with Keenan, Allen, Quintin, Johnston, Lad
McConkey for targets. So there will be some nice games
in there this week. But you know, if you're thinking,
all of a sudden he's a top five tight.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
End, you're gonna be disappointed.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Yeah, it's like a water found out there, not quite
the oasis that it might appear to be. Let's go
up to Denver where Marvin Mims made some plays late.
Was that real or mirage?
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:36):
No, that's that's a mirage.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Most Here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
The good thing is he actually got to do something
because there were times last year where I felt like
he and Sean Payton had never been introduced to one another.
So at least appears like they maybe have cross paths
in the cafeteria or something like that. The usage rates,
though for Mims this past week, well above normal. He
was on field for more than half of the snaps
in that game against the Giants. That number usually is
around thirty five to forty percent weeks, and his air
(16:01):
yards per target kind of in a moving target, going
anywhere from about four yards per targeting some weeks to
twenty four yards per targeting some weeks. I definitely helped
that bow Knicks had to throw the ball fifty times
with the Broncos in catch up modes, so you know,
Detroy Franklin's still there. Pat Bryant may get some targets,
Evan Ingram getting work, so it's hard to count on
Marvin Memes.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Well, let's look over the reason that the Broncos were
in catch up mode because the defense couldn't keep up
with Jackson Dart.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Is this sustainable? Was that real or mirage?
Speaker 4 (16:29):
I think it's real, maybe not quite to this extent.
But here's the thing. He had come out. He had
played well, certainly from a fantasy perspective. We loved what
he was doing, and we looked at this game against
the Broncos. As okay, this is a big test. How
does he perform? And the numbers fantasy wise, you know,
came out great. I know the end result wasn't what
Giants fans wanted, but over two hundred and eighty passing yards,
three touchdowns, had a rushing touchdown as well. He's got
(16:52):
back to back games now with more than twenty three
fantasy points. We love the rushing upside. Three rushing touchdowns
in his fourth starts so far this season. And you know,
if you want to look ahead, which I know can
always be dangerous, but good fantasy playoff schedule. He's got
the Commanders and the Raiders coming up in the fantasy
playoffs this year. So look, if you got Jackson Dart,
you know, I don't know if he's a must start
(17:13):
every single week, but definitely a guy that you want
to have on your roster for late in the year.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I must start for Brian Daball, who had some spicy
conversation with his defensive coordinator, something we have seen before historically.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Speaking of spicy, let's get my hot sauce.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
All the waever are all right, thank you so much, Patrick,
But I do want to point out there when you're
besmirching Aronde gadst in the second, it's not me you're
coming after, it's Patrick.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Patrick was the one who called it last.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Week, so as he's sitting there, so that is a
direct shot at Patrick.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
I see some host on host B, but I will
not get in the middle of that because I've got
four flavor profiles. Chucky Bee is in position. Let's start
with the mild but flavorful. We're gonna start to the
quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
With Michael Panix Junior, who obviously has been battling a
little bit of an injury. So keep on this as
we move forward. But what we love this season is
the matchup. The matchup. When I talk about the three
biggest disappointments in football this year, Patrick, who are we
talking about. We're talking about the Miami Dolphins. Yes, we're
(18:14):
talking about the New York Jets. Yes, and we're talking
about west Ham. Really, Nate the Great, what's going on?
What are you doing there? West Ham is going to
get relegated. I am here for it.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
But Michael Pennix is going up against the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
So if you have a quarterback issue that you're dealing
with if you drafted Jade Daniels and don't know what
to do. Your options are Joe Flaco, now, Aaron Rodgers,
maybe Michael Pennock Junior.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Is the guy that you want to go with.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
All right, let's get a little space watch out over there, Vanessa,
Oh that came out. If only we can afford more
cameras to kind of check track the.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Flight of that foot.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Obvious say, there's like six of them right here that
aren't being used. Also not being used, Brishard Smith is
not being used enough in Kansas City because they have
way too many options. We saw this week. They're throwing
the ball all over the field. They're getting she Rice back,
they got Xavier Worthy, Isaiah Pacheco, Kareem Hutt, all these guys.
But when you sit here and watch the tape of
(19:07):
Breshark Smith, you can't help but be im pressed by
what he has been able to do out there on
the field.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
This is one of those guys you just want to
store away.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
You don't want to sit out there listen like you
have some people coming over and you're like, I don't
know if I want to break out the Breshark Smith.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
I might keep this one back. I might hide it
in the pantry.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Make sure somebody's not rubbaging through there trying to find
one of my friends and one of my least is
trying to do that was rummaging through the pantry. Where
did you find that I had hidden that away? But
you want to go out there and pick them up
this week? That is Breshark Smith spicy. All right, let's
go three alarm, three alarm. Let's go to Indianapolis, where
not only is the cocktail sauce spicy, but Josh Downs
(19:47):
has been amazing.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I know Patrick talked about this yesterday. I'm gloving on
here a little bit he had.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
He has had a receiving touchdown in two out of
his last three games. He's got a great matchup this
week against as any he Titans. Six receptions and back games.
This guy is an electric playmaker. It is so amazing
to see what the Indianapolis Colts have been able to
do this season coming into the year with Daniel Jones. Listen,
we all made our jokes, we all made fun of it.
It's like one of those things we're like, hey, I
(20:12):
really think the Colts now nobody believed it. Nobody wanted
to buy in, but this Colts team has been amazing.
Josh Downs is a pretty good, pretty good receiving options
for those of us who've been battling injuries. We're talking
about all the guys just Monday night alone, so many
guys went down.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Josh Downs is somebody to look at. And finally let's.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Go Hell the oblo Oh cut her inside El the
oblo We found the tape.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
We found the Devin Neil tape.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
I know that our producer who gets a little worried
anytime I recommend something to him about New Orleans. He
gets a little worried because, you know what, he can't
figure out which lafeats I was sending to, you know,
the Blackbeard Bar.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
That's where I wanted you to go, not the other
one that you ended up with. That's on you, not
on me.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
But Devin Neil is gonna be one of those guys
again that you want to store on your team. Listen,
I saw this in action the other day, Alvin Kamara,
he doesn't God it's over. It's kind of like when
Huntsburger was talking to Rory when she was trying to
apply for a job, and Huntsburger was just like, you
know what, you don't have it, Rory.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
I know it was a tough It was a tough
Rory needed to hear that.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
I think of all the things, Patrick, when you you
know what Huntsberger is right, Hud did you see the movie?
Everything Huntsburger said about Rory came to fruition, and it's
going to be the same with Devinie. I don't know
how those two factor in together, but Devin Neil is
gonna be one of those players who ends up being
the number one running back for the New Orleans Saints
this season. The sooner you get him on the roster,
(21:36):
the better.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
There you go, Chuck, you be one more Chance's whoa
that was far and away?
Speaker 2 (21:42):
There it is.

Terms and embargoes apply. Let's get you some trade.
Speaker 4 (21:59):
With on NFL Fantasy Live.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Let's start gitling with the players we're trading for here.
After Week seven, Marcus Well.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Last week in this spot, I suggested you trade for
T Higgins because Joe Flacco was going to help elevate him,
and that certainly turned out to be the case last week.
So I'm going to go back in that same bag
and say you should probably trade for Chase Brown at
this point too, for similar reasons. I'll get it, he's
got kind of limited touches about twelve to fifteen per week.
But we have seen with Joe Flacco and this passing game,
(22:27):
the ability to get the ball downfield to Jamar Chase
get it to T Higgins. That is going to open
some things up in the run game. We saw last
week with Chase Brown going over one hundred yards. That
was the first time he had more than fifty rushing
yards in a game all season. Not to mention a
favorable schedule the rest of the way. He's got the Bears,
he got two matchups with the Ravens, the Bills, the Dolphins,
the Cardinals all left on the schedule. So for anybody
(22:49):
look got Chase Brown, chances are their records not very good.
They may want to move on from him, and this
is a chance for you to pick him up.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I'm going to.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Say that you trade for Couganna kuup for no reason
other than like sometimes when players are injured and they're
going on a buy, teams might get used to not
playing them, or maybe they get a little sour on
them or something of that. I say, just take a
stab at it. Listen, I'm not saying that it's going
to be successful. I'm not going to say that somebody's
going to be able to go out there and just
(23:17):
necessarily want to give away Poganakoa. You're probably going to
have to give up something of value. But at the
same time, I'm really encouraged by this Rams team. I
think this is one of the better teams in the NFC.
This RAMS team down the stretch is going to be
a lot of fun. So for me, if I'm looking
to upgrade at the wide receiver position and I have
some parts.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
To move, Pukanakua is high on my list. Yeah, it's
going to be variable.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
The price, right, I think I can get my trade
option for significantly cheaper because it's Marvin Harrison Junior. Especially
if you are a believer in Marvin Harrison Junior and
you look at these past a couple of games, which
in Kobe Brissette, look at the next matchup they've got
the Dallas Cowboys, whose defensive improvement might be a touch
tenuous if you believe that.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
So it's good.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
The price is gonna go up, I think after this
game against the Dallas Cowboys. So if you want Marvin
on your team, now is the time to go and
acquire him for a relatively low price. Let's go to
on the other side of these trades, Marcus, who are
we shipping away?
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Well, we're not trying to fleece anybody, right, we do
want to give up something of value, but we're also
trying to get away from guys if maybe have peaked.
And for that reason, I'm saying this might be the
time to move Quinton Johnston because he came out of
the gates incredibly hot, looked like that third year breakout
was underway. But I think after a few really big
game teams are starting to pay more attention to him downfield,
(24:35):
so the numbers have not been quite as good. Now.
There's still opportunity for him to go out and get
lots of targets and have a couple of nice games.
But this is an offense that's starting to spread it around.
We've seen more lad McConkey recently. We saw Ronde Gatston
have a big game last week, so there's still value there.
You're not just trying to offload some guys that you
don't really like anymore. But you know understand that. I
(24:55):
think we've seen the best of Quinton Johnston on a
consistent basis at this point this season.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Marcus Grant, you set us up.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
You're like, you got to give up some big name
value that it.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Was Clinton Johnson, I was left out. Here's one I'm Buca.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Let's get crazy, But this I don't think this is
a crazy proposition. I was reading something that was put
out by Dwayne McFarlane at Fantasy Life. He brought up
a very interesting point with a lot of these rookie
ride receivers really hit their apex right around this time
of the year, and then it's a slow, gradual decline
towards the end of the season. Now there's a lot
(25:32):
of extenuating circumstances in Tampa Bay because Mike Evans could
be out for a significant chunk of time, same with
Chris Godwin. So there is a reasonablieve that a Mecca
Lebuca could continue his toward pace even though the last
two games haven't been great, but still I say, look again,
you have to put out something. If I want to
trade for Puka and Akua, I've got to give you
(25:53):
somebody who you might be like. Okay, I would consider that,
and this would be this would be one of those
deals that I would want to do.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
I would go with the more proven guy like Puga.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
This was literally a trade I was thinking of in
my head, So swapping on Mecca Abuka for Pookakua and
that's what I got.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Patrick.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah, I may be a week behind online, but I
think it's an opportunity for you to trade away DK
Metcalf on this team that has the lowest target share
to wide receivers this season. We just saw almost every
tight end on the team shot to Michael lef Floyd,
who actually called three Steelers tight ends scoring against the
Cincinnati Bengals and in a great matchup for wide receivers,
(26:31):
and DK did not have the best performance eight Fantasy
points against the Cincinnati Bengals. The playoff schedule looks all
right to the start, starting with the Miami Dolphins, but
then at the Detroit Lions at the Cleveland Browns. I
think you got a chance to trade away, DK.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Metcalf and I think you guys are going to get a.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Chance to get us to evaluate your trades.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
We'll start with this one from David for you, Marcus,
a guy in his league needs a quarterback. He has
Drake May Mahomes and Dak. Going to offer Dak and
Kittle for mc bride.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Your thoughts, I mean, I like the framework of the trade.
I think, especially if as long as Zakobe Brissett's quarterbacking
the Cardinals trem McBride has a lot of value I
know for at least one more player back in return. Though,
if he's like Dak and Kittle for McBride seems like
a lot. So maybe you can get like a an
RB two or wide receiver two or something like that
to package along with him.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, sweeten that deal up a little bit. David Big
J wants to know rights Saquon from tedor Roa McMillan
and JK. Dobbins was offered to it. He has ted
Teta Roa because that's what his mom would prefer us
to call him.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
M JK Is that right? Yeah, mom says tedt Roa.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
No, Ted, oh man, it's easier with the characters I.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
I want to be I still want to be on
the Saquan side.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I know it's a fair trade, it really is, but
I'm I'm the snobvier type that would just want to
be on the Saquan side.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Yeah, especially see the offense going up and down the field.
You want the best part of it from a year ago.
And Walter wants to know Jamar Chase for Saquon and Keenan.
I lot Saquon deals, Marcus.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Yeah, you know what. I think I want the Jamar
Chase side of this too, though. I mean, look, I
get it. Saquon's playing well. He is probably the best
part of that offense. And Keenan is a good is
it you having a good year? But man, Jamar Chase,
that ceiling is just so high. I think I want
that side all.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Right back to you right for George Pickens for Rise
straight up. That's a scary one.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
It's so difficult with situations like this. If you're in
a fantasy draft right now and you were sitting on
the clock, which one of these players would you would
you want? I think I would lean towards Rashi Rice
because I think he's going to be the number one
option for Patrick Mahomes where you know what in Dallas,
you's got to deal with Ceedee Lamb got Fergie there,
Jaydon Blue Okay, maybe not him, but still he got
(28:45):
some other.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
You got some other guys kind of deal with. Yeah,
it's a tough way. Congratulations to both teams.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
If you're thinking about getting rid of either of those
guys at this.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
People just want to make trades sometimes. Just make it moves,
Make it moves, makeing fun ones.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
We're ten days off from Halloween, a terrifying week of
bye weeks and bad matchups lurks ahead. We've got five
of the most terrifying fantasy matchups your squad could face
as Fantasy live creeps on.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
The NFL. International games continue on NFL Network on November ninth,
with two final games across Europe, including debuts in Berlin
and Madrid. Snooze off game on for Sunday Morning Football
only on NFL Network and also streaming with NFL Plus
subscription required for NFL Plus visit plus dot NFL dot
com four terms. They're just about nine days out from Halloween,
(29:38):
which means it's time for some spooky matchups. And I've
got my five spooky matchups coming four Week eight, So
let's start with number five. That is Kendrick Bourne going
against the Houston Texans. Look, it's already a bad matchup
on paper, Houston the fifth worst matchup for wide receivers
this season, but look for increased target competition for bourn
(30:01):
as well. George Kittle is back. The Niners are hoping
to get Ricky Piersoll back for Week eight as well.
Maybe there's some hope if Mac Jones starts again, because
they've actually been really good together, but Kendrick Bourne might
be time to start getting away and finding a new
identity at wide receiver. At number four, it is Zach
Ertz going against Kansas City. Already mentioned that offensively that
(30:22):
Chiefs battlestar is fully operational, but that defense has been
good all year long. Case is the third worst matchup
for tight ends. Just one touchdown allowed to the position
this year, no titand has had more than fifty five
receiving yards in a game. Ertz has been very touchdown dependent,
just one game with more than forty five receiving yards
this season. We'll see what the situation is with Jayden
(30:43):
Daniels and his hamstring, but if he's missing his starting quarterback.
That's going to impact that entire offense there in Washington.
At number three, it is Jalen Warren going against the
Green Bay Packers. Now, Warren's production has been inconsistent this year.
His best game came last week. Surprise, it was against
the Cincinnati Bengals Packers, the fifth worst matchup for running
(31:03):
backs this season. Plus Arthur Smith loves to give out
tricks more than treats, he could end up using a
lot more Kenneth gain Well this week. I mean, really,
who's to say how things go in that Pittsburgh offense.
At number two, it is Drake May going against the
Cleveland Browns. And this is not a straight up sit
call for Drake May. It's hard to sit him considering
how well he's been playing. But Cleveland is the third
(31:26):
worst matchup for quarterbacks this season. No quarterback has had
more than two hundred and thirty six passing yards against
the Browns. They've allowed twelve passing touchdowns this season. Four
of them came to Lamar Jackson back in Week two. Meanwhile,
the Brown's giving up the second fewest rushing yards to quarterbacks,
which could take away a big part of why we
like Drake may and fantasy. And at number one, it's
(31:47):
George Pickens going against the Broncos. I know Patrick has
him as his wide receiver one this week. It's certainly
in the realm of outcomes, but the Broncos giving up
the fewest Fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season,
just one touchdown allowed to light outs Seedee Lamb. We
know is back and we know he's going to get
his regardless, will Dak Prescott be willing to force the
ball into coverage for George Pickens. The Broncos the second
(32:09):
highest percentage of tight window throws forced. So look, Pickens,
He's a guy who just kind of rises up and
he produces sometimes and you least expected. But this is
one that on paper should make a whole lot of
fantasy managers nervous. There you go, my five matchups for
Week eight that have me spooked. Meanwhile, I Trick a
lot of times spooked with what happens in his previous weeks.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Yeah, you know, I lost in fantasy this week and
normally the mayor of Huntington Beach comes on here to
try to calm me down. This week, he sent his
sixteen year old son, Which is interesting to me because
this generation has a lot of problems, and you see
it reflected in fantasy football as well, where I toil
really hard, walking uphill both ways to put a lineup together,
and then they come in and make it all bad
(32:52):
by not scoring enough fantasy points like you, Jacory Krossky
merrit you almost got more names and fantasy points four
point two points. It's against the Dallas Cowboys, j Corey.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Do you know how I evaluate Cowboys games?
Speaker 1 (33:04):
How many positive cutaways there are of Matt Eberflu's too
many soft perfuge.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
This is you coming after me, and I won't stand
for it. Bill. So here's what's happening.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Oh yo yo?
Speaker 2 (33:14):
What the what the skimmedy old head? Like? What's with
this anger? Man?
Speaker 3 (33:18):
All this anger makes it all sus Like, how am
I supposed to trust you? Like you're always coming down
on us guys. Oh, just because you have a driver's license,
you think you can come out here and tell us
what to do. I think that guy's going out there
working as hard as possibly you can.
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Maybe you should encourage him.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
You old hand joys just want to yell at us like,
oh stop skateboarding here, stop stealing that stuff. Like listen,
let us go out there and do what we want
to do. Ja Corey Krossky Marri's gonna go out there
and and he's just gonna be so good man.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
You know what, you got a chill bro.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, you make it a great point A young man,
I should do that. I'm sorry it's a Bill Merritt,
but I do want to talk about Caleb Williams scoring
twenty points, around twenty points a game.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
You how many points of scored this time? You how
many points? Caleb Williams scored four points six eight fantasy poorts.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
That's not enough and we celebrate. Oh look at dere slip,
look at Manungai all the successful runs.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Cayleb. Here's what you can do. You don't have to
handle them the ball. You can keep the ball, run
it yourself like you.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Were doing scoring those touchdowns earlier in the season.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Why does it throw it to long?
Speaker 4 (34:16):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
I get it, like I get it, Like Cala came
out there and he had like four point six seven
and fantasy points.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
That's what's happening. But you know what, again, all your
old heads come out there. Oh sure he paints his nails.
Oh he's got a pink Oh look at this, I
got a purple point plone. Case you think that bothers me. No,
I can still go out there and do this stuff.
You guys are just start like so weird.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Man.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
He always got to come down on this like it's
so like, I just don't get your attitude. Like he's
going out there playing the best that he can, just
trying to be free, just trying to go out there
and run around, take care of all of his all
of this stuff right there. And now he's got Ben Johnson,
this agro man yelling at him all the time. He's
got to go out there and deal with that. Tried
going out there and playing football with that angry guy
in your headset. Try to help you out, man, you
(34:54):
gotta do it. So Caleb Williams is just gonna be fine.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
You got a chill, bro, Yeah, yeah, thank you, young man.
I have experience with angry voices inside my head. And
right now they're talking to Matthew Golden. They're going over
to Golden because that's zero that he wears on his
jersey is also the same number of touchdowns that he
has in twenty twenty five, and you were supposed to
come in and fix all of this cloudy issues with
(35:17):
regards what Packers receiver do I starry Matthew Golden No.
Seven points, seven Fantasy points, and you scored like eleven
points in the game for three weeks before.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
That was clearly to sell me and make me. But
you're not you're not telling You're not looking deep, man,
You gotta look deeper in there.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
This guy's got riz, he's got dripped, he's got all
that stuff like he's got. This is exactly what you
want to see out of your guys. He's gonna go
out there and go He's just like you know what,
he's like. He's like a full container of celsius. He's
just got energy for days. Man, He's gonna go out there.
He's gonna kill it this week for the Green Bay Packers.
That guy's got it going on. He's got it all.
He's got the bleed, he's got it all.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
You got a chill, bro, I should. There's a lot
of be twelve vitamins in that too. You know what.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thanks for allowing me
to be on my uncle's show. Ti man, I really
appreciate it. Yeah, you know that down in HB.

Time for us to crown the cardio King of the
Week for Week seven, and it was a late challenger
grabbing the crown.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
On Monday night.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Jamison Williams of the Lions had two targets against the
Bucks while JMO ran one thousand and ninety.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Five yards around Ford Field. But zero catches is going
to get you zero fantasy points.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
It's just math, the king.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Of boomer Bus fantasy stat lines, Switbus. But JMO, you
got your cardio in, so congratulations on that. It's victory
Tuesday and we are going to celebrate your win right
along with you. You've sent us tweets and we will
regale you with positive praise. We think this one first
coming in for you, Rex started Bo Nicks over Danny Dimes.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, this lesson.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
This was a tough dilemma coming into this one because
obviously Daniel Jones has been playing very well. But I
would have I would have gone with you. I would
have I would have done the same thing with bo Nicks.
I started bo Nicks in a couple of spots. First
three quarters. Didn't care for it, but it worked out
pretty well.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
All right, Marcus, the Seattle defense went in to bed
big Gate loss, woke up to a nice surprise.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:28):
I just want to circle back to the top of
the show. Right.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
The game went late.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
It was the tightest. Person went to bed. They said,
I can't handle I went to bed. I will check
the results in the morning. But congratulations, you got a nice.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
W Yeah, and you didn't even have to worry about
it because you were unconsciously this the booker Hampton and
Vidal for Judkins and AJ Brown worked wonders hoping it
stays that way.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
You know, I do like having the Juckins part of
that trade, and if AJ Brown can find some consistency,
I think it might be a little bit of erradic
I think that you know it's one, but it's one
of those things like, yeah, you you traded some value
right there, and he got a pretty nice return as well.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
So hopefully keeps working out for you.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Congratulations on that one, Brady, Matt Zach Charbonier, Kenneth.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Walker owners look away.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Yeah, you know, it's a nice vintage last night of
sharbon a. So hopefully that keeps rolling again. It's gonna
be frustrating at times, but as all you score touchdowns,
it's great.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Yeah, it's the substitutions where you see Kenneth Walker and
you're like, oh, this is this is the one, and
then it comes sharbone this one from Brad put In
Rice over BTJ one by five.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Yeah, this was actually the right move. I really like
for she Rice coming into this game. I think a
lot of people were so excited to get him into
the lineup. It was one of those things where everybody
was playing him. He wasn't returning from an injury, he
was fully healthy, ready to go. It's kind of like
watching one of those Premier League games where you're like, look,
this guy's coming into the seventieth minute when everybody else
is run down.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Rashe Rice is just ready to go. Yeah, he ran
sixteen rounds, but he got targeted on ten of them.
They were loaded enough street wise.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
This one case defense picked him up last second, won
by three points.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
Started Caleb didn't get a lot of points, but the
defense came through for Marcus.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
I mean, the Kansas City defense is very good. No
knock on them. But I think the moral of the
story is just target the Raiders. If you're streaming defenses,
I feel like that's a big key there.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
And let's go to our final victory Tuesday. It's the
back bench bowl up in the control room where flows
hold on trying to scratch and claw and get a win.
But how about Massy coming through by eight one hundreds
of a point one thirty nine to one, thirty eight
point nine to two.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
I'm trying to I'm sorry, I'm looking at the screen.
How did you lose?
Speaker 3 (39:35):
You had Herbal and Jamar chase, which should have been
an automatic win for you, Dicker did nothing. Oh my gosh, Yeah,
Well where happened? You try it over so I see
it now, it's on the screen over. You try to
pick out what happened last, but it's cumulative. It is
(39:56):
the whole week, So you can't. You can't live and
die by those fire not aggregate. You know it's great,
Yeah right. I think if you get a certain lead
on Thursday night, you should be able to call it.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
Yeah, game's over.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
We're calling you back to check us out tomorrow. NFL
Fantasy Live for Rank and Marcus on Patrick and Ciders
is next.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
See the wo
