Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Today it's a Fantasy Live edition of the Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm Patrick Claibond. I'll be joined by Marcus Grant and
Adam Rink. Coming up today, we've got to look ahead
to a few upcoming schedules that could be a trick
or a treat for fantasy managers. Plus which of the
standout rookie running backs are real in which you are
a mirage? And in honor of Halloween, Adam Rank busts
out the Waiver Wire EMF meter to detect the.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Ghosts lingering on the wire.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Everybody, Welcome to.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
NFL Fantasy Love of Patrick Claybox here kicking off Week
nine with Adam Rank and Marcus Grant on a day
where we had some sports last night and we're all
well rested and ready to get back at this.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh say, this is the joy of being an Angels fan.
Speaker 5 (00:46):
I went to nighty rely didn't have to worry about it.
I knew they weren't going to pitch to my favorite player,
and I'm like, I'm good.
Speaker 6 (00:55):
Yeah, I just pretty much rolled last night into this morning.
So we're still up and running. So as long as
the show so it just keeps going.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I'm good.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
But the moment I sit down, it's probably a wrap.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
All right, Well, let's keep it going and get into Yeah,
the game we're talking about was the Washington Commanders at
the Kansas City Chiefs, and.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
One of performance marks from Rashei Rice.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Rashi Rice fantastic. You see that on the screen.
Speaker 6 (01:15):
Nine jetses ninety three yards at a touchdown even a
couple of runs, averaging twenty four point three Fantasy points
per game in the two games he has played since
coming off of suspension, targeted on forty percent of his routes.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
And I was sort of worried about.
Speaker 6 (01:29):
How the distribution was going to go with targets at
this point.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
The argument is who's the number two.
Speaker 6 (01:34):
Target in the target tree for Kansas City because it's
a parent that Rashi Rice is locked down that top spot.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
Yeah, this was the game we actually watched in my
house because my daughter would not allow us to watch
the Dodgers, but she loves Travis Kelcey, so this was
easy for me to watch. And Patrick Mahomes had a
really nice game for the Chiefs. It didn't start off
great there, there's a little bit of trouble there, not
up at halftime and You're like, ooh, because I remember
recommending to a lot of people nothing you need recommendations
(02:00):
to play Patrick Mahomes. We had talked about him on
this show, on another show that I do. We're just
having a good time talking about Patrick Mahomes. And then
it was not working out, but he rallied in the
second half three touchdown passes. He now has seven games
with at least twenty two fantasy points this year.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
That's the most among quarterbacks.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
And it's funny because for this draft season, it felt
like people are really fading Patrick Mahomes, like the game
might have passed him by, Like, yeah, I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
It's inevitable.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
Dislike that win last night for the Dodgers, it's inevitable
that the Chiefs are going.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
To get back.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah, a great night in the rink house because baseball
sun Travis Kelcey had a big night at tight end
for fantasy football, twenty one point nine fantasy points could
have been even more. He had one he coughed up
and gave back to the Commanders, but eight targets, six
of them for ninety nine yards and a touchdown. Those
ninety nine yards the most he's had this season, and
(02:54):
congratulations to Travis Kelce now tied for the most touchdowns
in Kansas City Chiefs history with eighty three, So congratulations
to Trav.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Elsewhere on the offense. So we're trying to figure some
things out, Marcus.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Yeah, we're trying to figure some things out in the
backfield because Kansas City's running back situation continues to be
a heaping helping of man Isaiah Pacheco. He had a
season high fifty eight rushing yard, so there's that. But
then on the downside, also suffered a knee injury and
right now is week to week with an mcl sprain.
Got Kareem Hunt still seeing about a third of the
snaps for charts. Smith is working his way into the rotation.
(03:30):
No one really has taken the lead here in Kansas City,
and so for that reason, it's really hard to get
excited about any of these guys because the production is
just not going to be what you want.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, I think on the other side of the football,
watching the Commanders play last night, a lot of that, like,
not a lot of things going going well for them,
obviously not in sync. This just is an issue of
coming down to the injuries. Now, no disrespect to Marcus Mariota,
but this team would be a lot different if they
had jade Daniels healthy, Jane Daniels out there. So there's
really you can't really drop to any conclusions. The only
(04:02):
one being is that you might want to just start
avoiding these players if Jayden Daniels is not in the lineup.
Like I know, a lot of people are hopeful of
Deebo Samuel. I thought last night coming into that game,
I thought like, hey, you would probably get somewhere in
the neighborhood at fifteen fantasy points, a fine creative ways
to get him to the football.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
It just wasn't happening.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
And so until Jadeen Daniels returns completely healthy, I think
you've got a sort of a sort of fade.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
The guys on this offense.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, rough timing to play the Chiefs while they are
getting to their healthiest point in the season, the Commanders
dealing with injuries, you know, kind of positive news.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
As Sara McLaurin said, he's.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Pretty optimistic about his quads and told this to Nikki
last night after the game, said, we'll see how it feels, small,
will take it day by day. So there's some perhaps
positive news are a big part of that commander's offense.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
It was a great week if you had any of
these guys.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
This was the perfect lineup in week eight once again,
Jonathan Taylor back in the perfect lineup, Saquon Barkley making
his first appearance after thirty three points against his former team,
and Rashid Rice again back to back weeks in the
perfect lineup. Big week for Troy Franklin and the Buccaneers
at defense as well. So here are the weeks for
(05:17):
Jonathan Taylor that he was in the perfect lineup to wait.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
A minute, he's the seven or one guy? Yes, oh
my god.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Well it's not just that like he's been in the
perfect lineup. It's not like he's had he's a top tour. Okay,
okay weeks and then up and down. You know, he
goes in. He's the number one most of the time.
So let's get to the ones projecting who's going to
be the number one at their position?
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Who's the QB?
Speaker 5 (05:39):
Right, I'm gonna go with Drake May who has been
absolutely fantastic. We finally coming into this game on Sunday
against the Cleveland Browns, it was going to be a
little bit of a litmus test, and it sort of was.
It wasn't like Cleveland wasn't playing well. They shacked him.
I think it was five times. But Drake May battled
through it and went out there and had a tremendous game.
It is getting so good for Drake May that we're
(06:02):
going to see that off. We're going to see Josh
McDaniels be a head coach from where.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, happening.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Quarterbacks, Hey, Tennessee, get ready for the Josh McDaniels experience.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
This is how you'll get back Mike Rabel.
Speaker 5 (06:16):
But Drake May will be the highest scoring quarterback going
up against the Falcons.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
I'm going to take a chance on Lamar jacks. I
take a chance air quotes on Lamar Jackson. I know
there's nothing official just yet. It will put aside any
potential injury designations from confusion from Reeks weeks past.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Baltimore was waiting for him to get fully healthy.
Speaker 6 (06:35):
And this is the guy who in his first three
full games when he was ready to go, average twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
And a half Fantasy points.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
I know that the Dolphins did a good job against
the run last week, but I'm not convinced that their
run defense is fixed just yet, so I'm gonna still
go with Lamar Jackson. They've given up the speed of
the Dophins, given up eighty one rushing yards against Justin
Fields a few weeks ago, so I feel pretty confident
in Lamar.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
Let's go to the running back position and I will
go out on the limb, so far out on the
limb that the low hanging crew is on the ground.
Jonathan Taylor will be the RB one because he's very good.
He's had fourteen scrimmage touchdowns this season, five more than
any other player going up against a Steelers defense that
if you guys watch Sunday Night Football, they look to
(07:19):
touch slow and this is not the team you want
to be slow against. He's at five games with twenty
nine or more Fantasy points. The next closest player is
Jamar Chase with three. He's great right now. Yeah, I'll
take I'll take Jonathan. I'm embarrassed for it. Take a
chance to guy, dude, go out on a limb. No,
take a chance.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
I am on the list.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
I am going to pick a guy who's in a
running back by committee situation, Mark Jamiir gibbson No. He's in,
He's he's an RBBC. He's got to sit there and
just flit carries with David Montgomery. But I'm still confident
to go with him. I just the Minnesota Vikings. As
you see right there, the totals on the board are correct.
They've a looted the ninth most rushing yards per game
(08:00):
the running backs of the season. You need to realize
that they held the Bears to like no rushing yards
in Week one, and over the last couple of weeks,
they have been pretty pretty vulnerable to the running. They've
been vulnerable to everything, but they've been really vulnerable to
the running attack to the point that I think the
Jamier Gibbs goes out there and gets over. Not only that,
Jamir Gibbs has destroyed, destroyed Michigan or Michigan Detroit over
(08:25):
the last four games. I'm sorry, Well he plays in Michigan,
is what I meant. I'm saying he's destroyed the Vikings
nine touchdowns in his last four games. Again, I guess
it's only four games against them.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Let's go against them. Let's go to the wide receivers.
Marcas Oh.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
Since we're going out on a limb, I'm gonna go
with im on ross Sayin Brown. Here a guy who
is tied for the NFL lead and receiving touchdowns. You
see that most among wide receivers six games, at least
six catches so far this season, seventy more receiving.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yards in five games.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
And another guy who has played pretty well against the
Vikings in his career, has had at least thirty PPR
points in every game against Minnesota in his career. He
is still the guy that Jared Goff looks to first
and foremost, and I would imagine he's gonna have another lot,
a lot of opportunities again this week.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
You want to talk about opportunities, targets target locked on
the Cincinnati Bengals defense, and yes, Romo Dunze is the
player who has that opportunity this week. He played ninety
two percent of the snaps for the offense this season,
the third highest among all wide receivers, and he has
fifty six percent of the Bears receiving yards. And yeah,
(09:33):
that matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. They've allowed the third
most pass yards per game this season. It's a great
opportunity to get Romo Dunze in your lineup because so often, guys, Yeah,
the matchups really determine the way we evaluate fantasy football
and the way the actual things turn out. So it's
time for trick or treat ahead of Halloween coming up,
(09:54):
because you know, the schedule could make things great. It
could be a treat or it could be a bit
of a trick as we get closer to the fantasy playoffs.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
So right, why don't you give us a trick in
the tree?
Speaker 5 (10:05):
I think the trigger is going to be Jackson Dart.
When you look at his schedule over the next couple
of weeks, there are some actually really decent matchups for
him because he's got the forty nine Ers at defense
that's hurting without Fred Warner. You got the Chicago Bears
who are beset with injuries because there's a lot there's
a lot of guys out for them. But when you
look at it after that point, though, he's got the
(10:25):
Packers on the road.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
At Detroit, on the road at New England.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
So for me, when I look at Jackson Dart, he's
a player, you know, exciting, a lot of fun. This
Giant's team had a lot of charisma and everything, and
obviously some of that had to do with Cam Scattaboo.
So for the next couple of weeks, if you need
a injury replacement or something like that, Jackson Dart will
be okay. But then it becomes very triguing. It's like
leaving the Halloween kid like it's fine, you bring the
(10:50):
Halloween candy first first week, it's fine. When the Halloween
candy is still there in December, it's time to get
rid of it. And that's what you're going to need
to do. Jackson dar Dolla a treat though. It's going
to be those new England Patriots again. They face a
bottom ten defense in three out of their next five
games out. We're not sure what's going to be going
(11:10):
on with the Atlanta Falcons. If Kirk Cousins is the quarterback,
definitely be starting the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Tampa Bay and like, hey, I get it.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
You might not want to start them there, you might
want to pick up somebody else. But then you got
the Jets, the Bengals, who knows what's going on with them?
Is Joe Flacco still going to be the quarterback who
knows he's battling injuries now? And then you got the Giants,
who was just talking about a moment ago. So the
Patriots are becoming one of those defenses that I'm now
I've picked up in recent weeks because of a streaming option,
and I'm like, yeah, I don't really want to I
don't want to go look at I don't want to
(11:40):
do this week to week.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I'm just going to stick with the.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Patriots walk in the long term relationship because if it's
worthing me, give me all the sour patch cage.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
You can get everything else out of there.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
I don't want to have to dig through the bag
and try to find his skittles or something.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah, it's one of these the dots, so many dots
into December. It's a no go, a trick and a
treat Parkers.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
We'll get for the trick. We're gonna go with Trey McBride.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
And it's gonna be one of those things where it's
not like a prolonged stretch of bad anywhere.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
There's just sort of some kind of land mines.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
Littered throughout the schedule, right Like you might reach your
hand blindly into the bag and maybe you do get
some skittles, or you might reach in there and get
a pack of candy corn you just never know what
it's gonna be. I mean, we'll see what the Seattle
defense is looking like when you see in the start
of the Fantasy playoffs, he's at Houston, He's got the
Atlanta Falcons, two really tough matchups. Here's the thing, he's
the tight end three overall, he's one of the prime
(12:29):
targets there in the offense, regardless of who the quarterback is.
So you're going to start him, but understand it could
be a little bit of a roller coaster for Trade
McBride down the stretch there in Arizona.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
On the other side of the.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Absolute treat right now is Chase Brown, which is sort
of a nice refreshing turret twist because it was very
much a trick early in the season, but a great
schedule on paper.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
He's got the Bears, the Steelers, two.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
Matchups against the Ravens, the Bills, the Dolphins, all teams
with awful run defenses. So far this year, you've seen
Joe Flacco really elevate this offense. And there's still a
chance that the Bengals could get Joe Burrow back in
the season. So everything seems to be coming up roses
for Chase.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Brown Brovian trick and treat, Marcus, I'm going to go
to the other side of your equation because, like the
candy should be in quotations on candy corn, and I'm
looking at Flacco and seeing that perhaps the outcomes might
not resemble how they did this past week, for example,
when a lot of people were able to go up
and get Joe Flacco. But he's going to get colder.
(13:30):
Joe will continue to get older. I'm older than him,
by the way, so it's like there's an asterisk on that.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
And he's got the shoulder as well.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
And these games are going to be outdoors against defenses
that will be either in the Steelers getting a second
chance to see him or defenses that have improved like
the Ravens as well as the Buffalo Bills. So I
think Joe Flacco could be a bit of a trick.
And so if you've been ridding with Joe and you're
looking for options, what about one of the better options
that you've had all season for my treat.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yes, it's justin field.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
The Jets are on a bye, but the field scoring
the points that he did against the Bengals wasn't some
anomaly He's had twenty or more points multiple times this season.
In fact, four of them and three of the five
opponents remaining in weeks twelve through sixteen are bottom ten
against quarterbacks. So I think justin fields as he's been
for almost most of the season, can be a treat
(14:25):
and solid a solid quarterback.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Let's get you.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Folks some news in case you miss it. We will
start in the five to ZHO four NFL Network. Consider
Ian Rothbort breaking news this morning, Tyler Schuck, we'll get
the start for the Saints this week against the Rams
and presumably moving forward, Rick, how do you see this
impacting the folks with Saints on the roster.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
Well, for number one, I think it means the Rams
are another good streaming option. I was talking about the
Patriots of moment, get go, but if you need to
pick up a defense, the Rams should.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Be one of them.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
I'm curious to see what happens when I watched this game.
Hang on, Tyler Heny, he makes it kuple of nice row.
I don't know that it's really that much different than
Spencer Rattler, but it is nice that they're going to
go out there give him a chance to see what
he can do.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
And Kellen Moore is one of the more.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Accomplished offensive coordinator offensive minds in the game. Now he's
the head coach obviously, but to me, it's this is
more of a wait and see. I still I mean,
Rashid Shaheed, I've always kind of liked Alvin Kamara is
you know, he's him. I mean, they're not trading him
Chris Alave. Who's he going to pepper the targets too? Like,
That's the one thing that I really liked about Spencer
Rattler is that he was unafraid to give Chris Alave
(15:29):
like eighty targets a game. So I'm looking to see
where that distribution is going to be. So, you know what,
I don't think you need to make any sort of
major move or anything like that. But those of you
that are waiting in a Super Flex league or something
like that for Tyler Shuck to be the starter, now's
your chance.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
You got it.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
You got it to payoff of the whole for Tyler
Sucker when we come back. Some unlikely names found their
way to the top of the running back rakings for
Week eight. Which of these surprise standouts is a waiver
wire must add and which is just a mirage? Our
answers coming up next on Fantasy Love. All the fans
(16:07):
could lay hands on RJ.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Harvey.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
But is he real or was he a mirage?
Speaker 2 (16:12):
In that performance? Marcus Grant here to sort that out.
So let's start right there with the rookie running back
in Denver, real or mirage.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
As exciting as that was, I am not yet convinced
that he is real.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
The three sucksounds was absolutely great.
Speaker 6 (16:25):
If you've been waiting on him, if you somehow plugged
him into a lineup, congratulations.
Speaker 4 (16:29):
The eight touches, I'd still would like to see.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
A little bit more.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
He's barely had a thirty percent snapchare it does seem
like it is increasing. He can't be explosive, the usage
isn't really strong enough. And on top of this, after
a game like this, it just seems like Sean Payton
is teasing us.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
He's gonna go the other way. So I would love
for it to be more, but I'm not quite convinced.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
All right, so mirage for RJ. Harvey.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Let's go to Houston, where we saw Woody Marx not
just get eleven carries, but four catches as well.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Was that real or mora, I think that is.
Speaker 6 (17:00):
Real, and I like what I'm seeing out of Woody
Marks down there in Houston. Look, as much as we
love from a football standpoint to see Nick Chubb try
and revive his career after a couple of really serious injuries,
he just doesn't have the same level of burst and
explosion that we were used to seeing earlier in his career.
But we are seeing that out of Marx. Double digit
touches in three of his last four games, averaged over
five and a half yards per carry against the forty
(17:22):
nine ers last week. Now, look, the Texans, they do
still have O line issues. Don't be fooled by what happened.
The Niners have zero pass rush up front. But the
increase in volume for Woody Marks is what I am
encouraged by, and that's why I think this is sustainable, all.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Right, authenticity for Woody Marks. Let's go to Nashville where
Tamar Dka looked like he may be somebody we can
rely on.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
But was that real? Or I think this is real
down there? And look, let's temper this right.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
I mean, this is a Titans offense that still trying
to figure itself out. But ever since they started making
some changes in the coaching staff and the play callers,
we've started to see more DK and it was to
the point that it basically pushed Tyler Lockett out of
Tennessee and sent to Las Vegas. Weeks one through six,
he had less than forty percent row participation, a total
of nine catches for twenty six yards. The last two
weeks at Rock participation up near eighty percent, eleven catches,
(18:10):
one hundred and sixty three yards and a touchdown. Looks
like he's building something with Cam Moore and for his
excide as we worry about Elic Iomaner. Let's not forget
it was Dka that the Titans drafted first, and then
it took Io Manner about thirty picks later. So it
looks like he's starting to finally work into a nice
situation there.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
It was a very nice situation at the start of
the season for the tee won Jake Ferguson, But then
he went to Denver Marcus.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
And nothing nothing on National tight End Day? Was that
real or moron? I think that was very much a mirage.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
But yeah, I mean, somebody get Dak Prescott the memo
that it was National tight Enddy, you gotta get your
tight end involved. He had one more target than all
of us on this show combined. Hey, I granted it
was a tough matchup against a good Denver defense, but
he had six or more targets in six of Dallas'
first seven games this year.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
I get it.
Speaker 6 (18:57):
Ceedee Lamb's back. George Pickens is playing well. Jake Ferguson
is still going to be a key in this offense.
So if you started him, if you got a goosegg out.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Of him, don't freak out. Better days are coming.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
This just happened to be one of those unfortunate circumstances
if you had Ferguson.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
In your lineup.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Well, Jake Ferguson maybe in one of those situations, like
a lot of people who travel to Denver go to
the airport, feel like there's some paranormal circumstances.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Taking place there.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
You know, who's there to help out the rink, scanning
for beings beyond in the waiver wire EMF meter, the
paranormal experiences.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
When you're leaving from the sea gate and then you
get an update, it's like, nope, you got to be
at the a gate. Go downstairs, get on the tram
and hopefully you make it in time. But we have
the Waiver Wire emf ME meter and you might be
asking yourself, what does this thing do?
Speaker 3 (19:41):
I don't know. It detects ghosts.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
I wish I could have used it on Sunday when
I was going to put Jerry Judy into my lineup,
where I did and he ghosted the whole thing. But
now we're going to go through four different variations. It's
like one of those shows you see, like, hey, is
Binion's Hotel and casino haunted?
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Who knows? Let's start off with just the win, just whin.
Speaker 5 (20:01):
We're talking about Tyrone Tracy, who's gonna be one of
the hottest names on the waiver Wire this week, not
for anything that he did, but because of his circumstance. Obviously,
this week, it was tough to watch Cam Scataboo suffer
that injury be carted off the field there in Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Props to the Philadelphia.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Eagles fans who gave him a standing ovation, unlike a
certain fan base that cheered last night when a player
was injured.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Don't do that ever.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
But in any event, Tyrone Tracy is a guy that
you want to go out there now. Obviously, when you
look at the numbers of what he's done this season,
he is not Cam Scattaboo. He did not take advantage
of his chances. We're not doing this on talent. We're
doing this on the opportunity, and over the next couple
of weeks there should be good opportunities for Tyrone. Tracy says,
take a look, all right, Chuckie Biere's.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Not gonna get there. It's coming back. Oh it' Scott Patrick.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
Let's go with the unexplained phenomena. The unexplained phenomena for
this season is the Indianapolis Colts, who look like the
best team in the NFL. Obviously, Jonathan Taylor is in
the MVP conversation for what he's done, but Josh Downs
has been playing some really good football over the last
couple of weeks. He has had touchdowns in back to
(21:10):
back games. He's averaging close to fourteen Fantasy points per
game and getting more and more involved in this offense.
And the good news here is that they've got a
great matchup this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pittsburgh
Steelers have been very generous the wide receivers, especially wide
receivers who are lining up in the slot. So for me,
if you're sitting there in these troubled times of trying
(21:32):
to find this is surreal as a ghost whatever, Josh
Downs is somebody.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
That can be in your lineups. All right, I'm now
that was terrible. Hold on tricking me. Let me give
you another one.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
I was getting there.
Speaker 5 (21:44):
Oh got him with the cutter ghostly visions, and we're
talking about Trey Benson. It's a ghostly vision kind of
like when you're walking outside of a Sun Devil Stadium
and you're like, oh, that's the place where the bender
stats used to be.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Oh, that used to be the place to be.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
For Sun Devil games, whether you're going to Wells Bargo
Arena or Sun Devil Stadium. But in any event, Trey
Benson is a player that you need to be familiar with. Now,
you cannot play him this week. He is not eligible
to return in week nine, but you got to start
thinking ahead and Trey Benson might just be that guy. Obviously,
the Arizona Cardinals have released Michael Carter, so they're anticipating
(22:24):
him Trey Benson getting back into the lineup. Being the
running back that we were hoping he was going to
be when he was given an opportunity because of the
injury to James Connor. So again, sometimes a little forward
thinking helps you out there. And speaking of that, all right,
let's go that was hold on, hold on, hold on, shocky.
There is the second one is aways better, although that
one mismlind All right, let's go to the Poultergeist attack
(22:46):
and it's going to be Dylan Samson Again. This is
gonna be one of those things where you want to
be forward thinking. Quin Shawn Dunkins. We don't know the
extent of his injury, if he's going to be able
to return when the Browns come back from their bye week,
which means right now, if you haven't opportunity to go
out and pick somebody up, Dylan Samson needs to be
one of your more pressing priorities in this one because
(23:08):
he does give you some upside and when you look
at what the Browns got the last time he played,
he had or excuse me, when he was actually before
Quinch Conjunctions became the starter, he had at least ten
Fantasy points in the first two games of the season,
which shows he does have a little bit of ability,
and you know what, This Brown's offense needs to run
the football.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
So if you're a little.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Forward thinking you want to take advantage of something like that,
go out there and get Dylan Sampson.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
There you go, Hi, Phil, Fantasy Live Edward never going away.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
Because we have spooky tales that will.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Haunt your fantasy football rosters. It's time for fantasy horror
stories at a rink. Provide the people with your tails.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
You wanted to wait on a running back round after
round running backs went off the board. You thought you
were going to outsmart your opponents. You thought you out
play them, but instead you were the one who got
played this fall. Tony Pollard stars in get out of
(24:11):
my lineup each and every week. I realize now that
I probably should have paid more attention to the running
back position, but I was so confident in my own
abilities as I watched Tony Pollard get coach after coach
sacked from their real jobs, that my fantasy team has
(24:33):
started to suffer because Tony Pollard will not get out
of my lineup.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Very very very scary writing.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
Indeed, Marcus Grant tell the people.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
Well, the season began simply enough, setting lineups as usual.
You navigated injuries and bye weeks through shrewd waiver wire
ads and gutsy start sit calls, but the international games
coming late La nights in early morning London football don't mix.
That's when you notice the glowing green optimized button. It
calls like a beacon of hope. You click it and
(25:10):
fall asleep. It works like a charm. You're hooked, but
after several weeks you notice something weird. Your point totals
are lacking, the losses are piling up. You investigate why
did it start Caleb Williams over Joe Flacco. You didn't
burn that waiver priority for no reason, and you had
a feeling about Troy Franklin. Why was he sitting over
Chris o'lave. The intuition that propelled you has now been
(25:34):
trapped in an algorithmic tomb. You try to clow your
way out, but your playoff hopes are suffering.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
You know you alone are the best chance to.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
Reach the sunlight of the fantasy postseason, but the button
it calls to you.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
The projections are too tantalizing.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
You can't resist, and as the light fades on your
team and your season, your final words are why Ramandre?
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Why? Why?
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Indeed so spooky? What if I told you that you
believed a story you believed in, a comeback story about
an idea looming, standing stationary in the backfield, waiting to
harm the defense. What about summoning an offensive genius of
old back to the league to take over an offense
(26:22):
with a quarterback who was written off and chose not
to write back until almost every single letter went to
the wrong location. Two of the best players in college
football in the past ten years could not save this franchise, and.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Now Tyler Lockett dusts off.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
The old connections and joins his old coach and quarterback.
They're back from the buy and you will have to
put some of them back in your lineup. The twenty
twenty five Las Vegas Raiders are Halloween fifteen, the reboot
No One Wanted.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Fantasy Live. Brice Hall had the best.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Game of the season Sunday for him against the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
How aggressive should you be about acquiring the Jets?
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Top back Marcus counts down five players due for a turnaround.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Next on Fantasy.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Live, Welcome back to Fantasy Live.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Time out for my five and we are quite in
the midst of spooky season, so I'm giving you my
five players who will rise from the fantasy crypts. So
you might want to get a move on and see
if you can acquire these players for your fantasy roster.
We will start at number five down in Carolina with
tedor Roa McMillan.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
He's been the fantasy invisible.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
Man much of the season, making things happen out of
the view of fantasy managers. But double digit PPR points
in six games despite scoring just two touchdowns a twenty
seven percent target share at a forty two percent air
yard share is scary good positive touchdown regression is possible,
in which case will reveal himself to the world.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
At number four, it's Rashid Shahed.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
There's been a lot of offensive voodoo going on in
New Orleans and it looks like Spencer Rattler's black magic
might have run out. With the New Orleans offense stagnating, Shahid
might end up haunting another real NFL roster soon via
a trade and had a true deep threat in a
potentially more magical offense. Shaheed could be the hecks to
take down your opponents in your fantasy league. At number three,
(28:54):
it is Quinn Sean Judkins. Eerie isn't just the lake
where Cleveland is located. It's also how good Judkins has been.
With a full workload. For weeks three through seven, he
was the RB eleven despite Cleveland averaging just sixteen points
per game. Judkins might not be the scariest thing from
Cleveland since Wes Craven, but with an eighty percent rushing
share and four yards per carrie average, he could be
(29:16):
a nightmare on your fantasy roster. At number two, it
is Breece Hall. The Jets offense is often felt like
a nightmare at twenty thousand feet. With Breece Hall and
the role of William Shatner trying to stop the Grimlins
on the wing, He's kept New York's offense safe on
the ground, though with nearly five yards per carrie and
piloted his own flight with a touchdown pass in Week eight.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Yeah, the win may play tricks, but it's the breee
that will get you.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
In the end.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
And at number one it is Travion Henderson. New England's
running back rotation has been scarier than a Stephen King novel.
Between Remandre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. It was a dead
zone early in the year, and while Henderson hasn't exactly
been it for the Pats offense, he got to play
the running man last week. Look for him to make
the gap betwe between RB one and two thinner and
(30:02):
with the late season schedule to boost managers seeking needful things,
he'd be the guy to get you to where you
need to go.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
And no, you go, My five guys.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
Will rise from the fantasy crypt and should be on
your roster. Meanwhile, things, they're also scary. Patrick seems to
be your roster.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Yeah, No, that's the real scary story is going up
against the team of players who want to win while
your team doesn't try, so you lose.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
And yeah, it's a horror story.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Every single week I walk up to the door of
fantasy football itself and I knock and then somebody comes
out and says.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
You're forty two loser.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
Get away from me and my family. I'm not going
to give you any candy.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
And that's what every single one of the players on
my team did this past week.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
Like you, Rain Dakota Prescott, Oh dok scored all these
fantasy points.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
You go up, you have six points, six points.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
I don't care how good the defense is. I don't
care that the defensive player of the Year is on.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
The other side.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
You have two good receivers.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Throw the ball to.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
One of them.
Speaker 7 (30:57):
The tight end is good, throw the ball to him.
Why don't you run about yourself? Try harder for me, dude,
not even man.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
I know you're sitting there talking about how great that
Broncos defense is, but he was playing a mile high.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Dude. The altitude.
Speaker 5 (31:17):
I don't know if you've ever gotten off a plane
in Denver, because it's like plan Dude, that altitude hits you.
Your lungs start burning like you were at a that
you're at like a five sig party back in the day. Man,
you gotta fight through that. You're fighting through the altitude sickness.
You're fighting against that great Broncos defense man like ah,
(31:39):
Dak Prescott has been so good, dude.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
He's been epic.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
Man more than twenty two fantasy points five games this season.
Only Patrick Mahomes has done better. So you know what,
that's just gonna be one of those times. Man. Going
up against the Broncos is like snowboarding in the Rockies.
Just sometimes there's too much powder. You get pitted and
you just gotta deal with it. And you need to
(32:04):
deal with.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
This Patrick, because it comes to.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
My guy, Dak, you got cheip, bro.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
I'm sorry, Dak, You're right. I should be more aware
of the circumstances that could lead the result like that.
Christian McCaffery was playing in Houston, Texans allegedly because there.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
Was nothing in the first court.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
You know how they call them quarters, Christian because there's
four of them.
Speaker 7 (32:29):
But when you only really play in three, I can't
get any.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Fantasy points nine point eight from the overall top score
in fantasy football.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Oh, Christian McCaffrey's back. Where was he in Week eight?
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Nowhere for me? And that's why I'm done.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
I am signing on with all the folks who are like,
no more.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
Ser for me.
Speaker 5 (32:47):
I'm one of you, one of them signing off on
a guy who's foot his team and.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Like in one of those wheelbear one of those.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Wagons, and it's just drag him across and sand. He's
trying to take this team man, that was so beset
by injuries. Nothing has been going right for the forty
nine ers this season. Dude mac Jones is out there
as their quarterback, and yet Christian McCaffrey, week in and
week out, has just shouldered everything, man.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
And so you know what, he goes down to Houston,
home of the eighth.
Speaker 5 (33:24):
Wonder of the World. But you don't have to wonder
about this guy. He is lock solid. He is ready
to go. Like you got to just give him some help, man,
Like you can't just sit there on the shore and
be like, what took you so long?
Speaker 3 (33:38):
He's like, Bro, I've been carrying everything. What have you done?
Speaker 5 (33:42):
Absolutely nothing? So look, guy's gonna rebound this week. I
got a lot of confidence in him. I just think
he needs to go down, paddle in, go to Cassidy's.
You'll get yourself a burger and then come out even better.
But when it comes to Christian McCaffrey, you got chip, bro.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
I should you know it? Thank you so much because
we player carrying that much volume. Yeah, you're due to
get a little bit of a rest every once in
a while.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
Book just got here, He just got here.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
There was scored so many points.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
So why when I see six point nine fantasy points
do I question your want to?
Speaker 3 (34:17):
You have a quarterback who was driven by sheer spite.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
When the points aren't coming up, you walk up to
Baker Mayfield and say, Baker, you're bad. I remember the
memes you show him the Baker Mayfield cycle meme. You
get him fired up so we didn't have to motivate himself.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
You do the motivation, rookie. That's how you make it work. Mate.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
They're in New Orleans, man, what do you expect?
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Not everybody is gonna come out to play when you're
in New Orleans. Maybe it was the late night out
there and Lucy's. You got up early, had some begnets. Listen, man,
we've all been in that situation in New Orleans. You're
like capal Man. Those hurricanes you start to hit you.
After a while, you start to on a couple back
(35:00):
at Pat O'Brien's. The next thing you know, you're like, bro,
I totally forgot we had a game today. But listen, man,
this guy has been so solid. This guy double has
been one of my favorite grams of this whole season.
I'm gonna let the young pop have a little bit
of an indiscretion right here. It's okay, man, it doesn't
have to be every week now. He's got to get
(35:21):
it together. Now we're starting to get towards the playoff season,
so I see you. I will say, man, he's got
to be better the rest of the year, but for
right now, for his first time playing the Saints in
New Orleans, when it comes to a Mecca Bucca, you
got a chip bro.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, he's been so good. That will be so irrational
for me to be upset at a player when I'm
ultimately the one that makes the decision to put him in.
Don't be upset, and especially don't tweet at the players
new this season.

It's time for us to crown the Cardio King of
the Week for Week eight, and the unfortunate honor goes
to Chargers wide out. Quentin Johnson QJ may not be
in full marathon training mode with only nine hundred and
seven yards traveled on Sunday, but he certainly worked up
a sweat despite a grand total of zero Fantasy points
scored for a guy who started in something like sixty
(36:24):
percent of leagues, that's a lot more than a light job.
Congratulations to Quinn Johnson and no points, but at least
you got your cardio win. Also was wide open on
that play. That was a rough one. It's time for
us to not just put these in fact, I'll put
this away. No stats, curely, just vibes in this sex
(36:44):
of my whole thing.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yeah, well, not really taking a shot of himself there.
It's not true, Marcus, No stats, just fobs. What are
you feeling here? In Week nine?
Speaker 6 (36:53):
Feel like the rookie running backs are starting to arrive.
We heard a lot about how great this rookie running
back class is going to be, and yeah, that's been sort.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Of up and down.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
Ashton Jenty hasn't been exactly what we wanted him to be.
But I think some of these guys are starting to
pick some things up. We're seeing Kyle Mannungai get more
opportunity behind DeAndre Swift in Chicago. R J. Harvey still
have questions about his step shared his touches, but he
is starting to work in more Woody Mark's taking over
down there in Houston. I mean, so many guys getting opportunities.
Travon Henderson finally having his breakout game. So it took
(37:21):
a little bit of time in which we should expect.
I mean, these guys are rookies after all, but it
does look like some of these first year running backs
are starting to hit their stride.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
You you know, I want to talk about kickers because
a couple of years ago, you know, people are like
they started this day and I bought into it too,
where they're like, oh, we need to get rid of kickers.
They're like, why do you want to get rid of kickers?
Like it's too difficult, Like that's that's part of the play.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
I thought's such.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
That's why we do this kind of stuff, is the
volatility stuff. There's an actual science to this. There's actual
like strategy picking these kickers. Because the NFL teams are
using kickers as a weapon. There's a number of teams
that have guys who automatically make anything in side of
about sixty yards, And I know I'm sorry that I'm
putting all this kicker footage on the air. I thought
(38:05):
I was trying to outsmart to be like, they're not
going to run the roll of all the kickers.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
Oh no, no we are.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Don't worry about that.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
But it is one of.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
Those things too, is like, you know what, if it's
too difficult, then find some other hobby.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
This is your generation, Kendall. And I'm not saying it's.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
You, well, a lot of a lot of your ilk
just don't want to do some of the stuff that
we had to do back in the day, back when
I was going through the Orange County Register or the
Press Enterprise in Riverside having to go and pull out
all these stats on my own.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
But whatever, Yeah, taking the kickers.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
I've also been making that lame argument since fantasy football began.
So it's not generational mind, no stats, just vibes. Is
you're going to be all excited. Yeah, it's some underperforming
great offensive piece is going to get trade and it's
going to be a great success for my team. It's
probably not like if we want to go back to
the last successful in season trade that worked out for fantasy.
(38:55):
You think of Christian McCaffrey, in which the Carolina Panthers
ultimately get Briton Strange, Darno Washington, and Nick Herbig in
exchange for Christian McCaffrey. Well, I didn't work out for them.
It was great for the forty nine ers. Or if
you have an offensive piece that's able to be a
contributor for a playoff team, generally you keep him on
your team. And so, yeah, it's something we can all
(39:17):
get signed belt maybe, but generally you should probably plan
for other things to take place. This Sunday, November second,
you can get NFL Red Zone from NFL Network for free.
That's right, see every touchdown from every game this Sunday afternoon,

(39:39):
Time for Big Three Tuesday, as we are celebrating right
along with you for the half of you who got
wins in fantasy football.
Speaker 3 (39:46):
So let's see those tweets.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Starting us off is big Jay Rice got a third
of the points that he scored and somehow he won.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
It's still a w right, Win's a win.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Man who cares where he comes from and it's got
to be exhilarating because it's on Monday night as well.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Yeah, I come from behind, like sixty three to sixty two,
win Steven. What really happened was my opponent self destructed
a similar theme that matter.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
Sometimes it works.
Speaker 5 (40:10):
That's how we play head to head and not one
of those nerd things where like, well we knew the
total points that we do commit to.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Shut up just playing head head.
Speaker 6 (40:17):
I mean, when your an opponent is self emulating, just
stand out, stand aside.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
You know, Alex gets to hoist a weak trophy because
uh yeah, Jordan love for this best performance of the
season beating his rival and has a one hundredth career
regular season.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
When we're tracking at Alex, I love it. I love that.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
That's for you. I love that for you.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
But do Jersey like in the ceiling raft and Josh
Jacobs helping him stay eight and no, I get I would.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Get worried if I started eight. No, really, I have
a team that it's eight to o right now. I
beat social Emily.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
Oh you take a loss just to get the pressure
off for that in the season.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Make it a little easier. Dwayne picked up guests in
the second because McBride was on a b I got
eighteen points.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Keep them both. Yeah, it was pretty good.
Speaker 4 (41:04):
Tired, Maybe maybe Dango went out for a trade.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
I don't know, do something. Yeah, say what goes?
Speaker 2 (41:08):
Make some moves, Alex says Joe Flacco, because I'm sure
those twenty four fantasy points came and clutched they did
for me, are you? Because I'm sitting there and I'm like, oh,
getting ready to you know, go do Game Day Live.
Oh yeah, I still have Lamar starting a quarterback. So
nine fifty nine I acquired Joe Flacco getting in and
I beat Cynthia Freelan in our fantasy lives.
Speaker 5 (41:30):
She texted me at nine fifty eight, She's like, Patrick
hasn't started a quarterback yet, and I go, you know what,
let him.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Go out waste on his own for tard. That's the
way he's going to do it.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
Yeah, I look at bikes field.
Speaker 6 (41:41):
But I also started Joe Flacco in one of my
home leagues, and I feel pretty good about it because
otherwise it would have been like Matthew Stafford on.
Speaker 4 (41:47):
A bye getting me a zero.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
So that's great.
Speaker 5 (41:49):
I started him too, and then my buddy shared it
in my League of Records started Tucker Craft and Jordan Love.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
I'm like, okay, thanks, Steve, really appreciate you. There's nothing
at that my day.
Speaker 5 (42:00):
It becomes comical at that point, like okay, fine, like
you're scoring all the.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Points and that's why we play this game that we
love so much.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
We're back tomorrow. Michael F.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
Floyal has his starts and sits for week nine. We
will see you there. The Insiders is coming up next
right here on NFL Network for Adam Rank as well
as Marcus Sprant.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
I'm Patrick Claiboun. Thanks for watching NFL Fantasy Love, see
you tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Wow
