Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wow, everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Welcome to another edition of the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
It's Me Your Man, MG Marcus Grant, joined by Michael
Florio and Lakwan Jones. We are halfway through the fantasy
regular season and by mcgeddon has come to get us.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Oh did you get hit hard because I didn't, you
know what, I don't want to play this week, like
at all.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I'm gonna be honest, I haven't even looked at lineups yet.
I haven't even started yet.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Just avoid the pressure.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
We'll get to that when we get to that. I
got a whole day before kickoff. Yeah, it's weird for me.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
I have some teams that I'm looking at it and
I'm like, I don't want to play this week, and
I have others when I'm like, oh a lot of
my guys have already had their buy, like let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I'm fine. Yeah, yeah, I look.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I mean at some point there's sometimes where there's just
so many guys on a buy you just you just
take the l take the down, just you know, it's
just the thing that happens. So, but that gets us
to what we're going to talk about in the show.
We will take a peek at some of the more
intriguing fantasy matchups of Week eight. We'll get you some
lineup replacements for by him again and to get you through,
plus sleepers, news headlines, and a whole lot more so.
Speaking of which, let's start things off, as we normally

(01:13):
do on this show, with some fantasy headlines and a
big one, a disappointing one. Mike Evans suffered a broken
clavical on Monday Night Football. He will miss most of
the remainder of the season because of that injury. Also
suffered a concussion in the ballgame. So first thing is,
I guess we pour one out for the one thousand

(01:35):
yard streak for Mike Evans because you know, unless he
comes back and has like seven hundred yards in a game,
I feel like that's probably gonna be done for that.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
It's rough that a streak that was alive because of
how durable he is ends because of injury.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Like it stinks, but also sort of fitting. I think
kind of that.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I mean, I mean, as remember last year the streak
stayed alive on literally the last snap.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Of the regular season.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
They forced him, They forced him, and we were all
happy about it. Not only one single person was upset
about how that.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Went and not right off into the sunset like that.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, definitely definitely disappointing for Mike Evans this year. But
I mean Florida when we look at it now, Mike
Evans is out for a while. We know that this
week we're not expected to see Chris Godwin or Bucky Irving.
Even a Mecca Abuka didn't look fully like himself last week.
Is Baker Mayfield gonna be startable against New Orleans?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I think so.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Because Baker Mayfield up until this past week, he was
doing it without his weapons, you know, like that's why
he was the leading MVP candidate because of the fact
that it was like all right, it's like they're not
missing a beat. But even this past week, watching that game,
like it wasn't like there were like Baker and nowhere
to go with the ball. The Detroit Lions defensive line
deserves a ton of credit.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
They made like havoc.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
They wrecked havoc on Baker Mayfield all game.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
But like I could think of at least two underthrown
balls to a Mecca Abuka that probably should have been
touchdowns if it was a little bit more on the money.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
I think Baker, especially with six teams on buy.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
If I don't have a ton of Baker, but if
I did, there's no way.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I would be getting away.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I think that thing six teams on a bye is
the important part. And I also think it's a thing
we're going to say a lot over the next couple
of days, how we're making start SID calls and be like,
hey man, six teams are on a bye.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
You're gonna be kind of hurt in a certain positions.
So we will see. But Baker's been playing well.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Obviously Monday night not a good one for him or
for fantasy managers. We'll see if he can rebound, knowing
that he's going to be missing some big pieces in
the offense.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Speaking of big pieces missing, the Commanders.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Are going to be without their starting quarterback Jaden Daniels
suffered a hamstring injury last week and the loss to
the Dallas Cowboys, and he has been ruled out of
the Monday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Now
Lukwan Daniels played last week. There was no Deebo Samuel,
no Terry McLaurin. We're still waiting to see on updates
on those guys, but with him out and Marcus Mariota,

(03:58):
and do you trust starting a commanders this week?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Like, obviously, if Deebo's healthy, we balling, he's in the
starting lineup, and Terry McLaurin looks like he's trending towards playing,
and I think, obviously, when you have eleven startable wide
receivers on by this week, you gotta start him. So
I do think at the end of the day, those
are the two that I feel really comfortable about now.
Louke McCaffrey with Marcus Mariota put up double digit Fantasy
points in both the starts at Mariota got but I

(04:22):
still don't feel like I trust him. Now that Terry
mclaurin's coming back in the fold, zach Ertz, I'm trying
to get away fro him from this week because we
have yet to see that chemistry. The red Zone presence
for zach Ertz and Mariota and honestly Chris Moore has
been great, But I think that that train is gonna
come down to human Earth with Deebo, Samuel and Terry
mclauren both back in the lineups.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I mean, a guy who sneakily put up a the
my decent number of yards last week was Robbie chosen, Yeah,
let them catches.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
And I said, Robbi chosen like two weeks ago, randomly,
And here we are talking about Robbie chosen, Robbie big
jersey lets you might know.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
It's chosen Anderson or Robbie Anderson or Robbie Anderson with why.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Aka the best thing he will ever do for the NFL?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Surper, what's that bear doing? That was absolutely awesome? But yeah,
I keep an eye on the Commander's offense. Obviously a
tough matchup on Monday Night. We'll talk about that a
little bit later on in the week news. That doesn't
have any immediate fantasy impact, but I felt like we
should get in here. Tyler Lockett has been released by

(05:24):
the Tennessee Titans. He asked for a release, the Titans
granted it, So Tyler Lockett no more in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's probably a rap for him on his career.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Obviously, we know he's not an NFL Hall of Famer,
even though he had a lot of good years in Seattle.
But I do have to ask. I'll start with you, Florio.
I would like to ask these when guys retire, is
he a Fantasy Hall of Famer.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
I'm hoping he's not retiring just yet, Like maybe Seattle
comes to call in and wants him back or something.
But I'm gonna say no, I think he's a Hall
of very good for fantasy purposes, like he was awesome,
but you look at his career numbers, never had twelve
hundred yards, like longevity wise.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
And always being underrated was great for fantasy.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
But I don't think of him as one of the
best fans about you.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
I don't know if the best, but I would say this,
like he consistently outperformed his ADPs of where he was going.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
Oh yeah, most of those years it was.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Just like wow, all reliable or wide receiver three performing
like a two and maybe some weeks as a one.
Like I'm gonna miss Tyler Locket honestly in the Sea
off Jersey because like it's like somewhat nostalgic somehow where
I feel like, yeah, man, that's my guy in fantasy.
But I wouldn't put him in the Hall of Fame
of the greats that we have up there.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Maybe the Raiders come a call him. Maybe the forty whiners.
I don't know. You guys just need a wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
He doesn't need the I don't think he wants to
end his career injured, Like I don't think that he
wants to go out a good point. So yeah, but
I'm I think he's a Hall of very good for fantasy,
not quite a Fantasy Hall of Famer. But I was
always a Tyler Lockett stand. I felt like he was
for years. He was one of those guys that we
sort of took for granted in fantasy, right. He would
fall down draft boards in and all of those, and

(07:00):
you know, he's getting you a thousand yards in like
eight to ten touchdowns. Like, who doesn't need that? Why
did I fade that exactly? But we'll see what happens
with Tyler Lockett. This isn't the end.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Who knows him. Pete and Gino could ride out together.
At the end of the year. Things aren't going great
for a Pete and Gino, right, it's probably it for them.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
Maybe Gino gets a backup gig somewhere, But I don't
see him as a starter.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, I don't think Pete gets fired. I think at
the end of the season they just strung. Hey, maybe
maybe you just want to go back and retire again.
I think it's one of those things. In case you
haven't caught on yet, there are a lot of teams
on a buy this week. The Cardinals, the Lions, the Jaguars,
the Raiders, the Rams, and the Seahawks all have the
week off in Week eight, So a lot of really

(07:47):
interesting fantasy pieces that you're going to be missing across
a variety of positions. So we'll certainly trying to help
you out with that. But first we'll turn our attention
to Week eight. We will start our Thursday night preview
the Vikings at the Chargers right over here at SOFI Stadium,
and these are the first touchdown odds for that game.
Jordan Mason and Kamani Vidal atop the list there, followed

(08:10):
by Justin Jefferson and Quintin Johnston with even odds to
score the first touchdown, followed by Lad McConkey. So Keenan
Allen not making it into the top five in this group, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Why, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
Just went crazy last week?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I mean, come on, man, I just read them. I
just read the board, man, I don't read the lists.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
All of this but as we look into this game, right,
Justin Jefferson's a guy that for years we've been drafting high.
Remember like last year we're like, I don't know, im
I canna draft Justin Jefferson. Sam Donald's there, and then
he was fine.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yah.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Right, So this year we went into the season, We're like,
I'm drafting Justin Jefferson because he was great with Sam Donald?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Like, why can't it be it hasn't really worked out?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Ain't nobody Sam Donald's will we come down to?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I mean, apparently like Sam Donald is one of one.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
I guess I don't know's he's wide receiver eighteen right now?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Does this mean that Justin Jefferson maybe isn't quarterback proof.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I think we're starting to see a little bit of that,
But I'm still hanging on because like when we look
at the numbers, when we look at the four end
zone targets, we're like, that's real nasty because two of
those came from JJ McCarthy and his only touchdown this
season has come from JJ McCarty. But when you look
at the other side, in terms of his ceiling, in
terms of yards, Carson Wentz has gotten him over one
hundred yards twice, so off of pure volume, I'm still

(09:25):
going to be a believer that we can get wide
receiver numbers on a consistent basis from Justin Jefferson. So
I do think at the end of the day, I'm
not too worried about trading him off. I'm not worried
about his production in my starting lineup. I think this
week he has a great matchup. We saw Deebo Samuel,
we saw Cortland Sutton, Michael Pittman put up twenty plus
fantasy points against his Chargers defense. It's Justin Jefferson. Those

(09:46):
names that I just named, they're nowhere near him. So
come on down buying Lowan.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Also, he only has one touchdown. You feel like that's
going to start to have six in the second half.
That's going to turn around at some point. On the
other side, the Chargers have three wide receiver that they
really like. We didn't even see Keenan Allen on that
board of the first touchdown, of which one of those
three between Alan Johnston and McConkie.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Four, You are you most comfortable, started Ladd McConkie. Baby,
we are bow boy.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Fifteen targets last week twenty four in the last two
games and in the last three weeks, he leads not
just the Chargers, the entire NFL in end zone targets.
And something I spoke about a lot on Fantasy Live
this week.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I think the Eagles.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
I think they found a weakness in this Vikings defense
because coming up to that game last week, no one
was beating them downfield. They were one of the best
secondaries in football. And then the Eagles were like, we
found your weakness. We're going to attack you up the seams,
in the middle of the field and downfield.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Guess who gets all of those targets. It's two players.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
It's Keenan and it's Ladd McConkie. I think both of
those guys are in play. My Bowl prediction on Fantasy
Live was one hundred yards and a touchdown for each
of them.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
But Ladd is getting more and more volume.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
And it's turning into great fantasy. He's also getting more volumes.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
I think people early in the season, we're kind of
sleeping on Quentin Johnston. Now they're devoting more attention to him,
and so that's opening thing.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
What stands out to me to over seventy percent of
his routes last week from the slot.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
So we're seeing him get back to where he's at
his best.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Where he's most comfortable, so we'll see Turning to the
Sunday matchups in week, we'll start with the Bills and Panthers,
one of two games on the schedule this week that
features two teams with winning records. The other one is
the Sunday Night game between these Steelers and the Piper
Sunday Night.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Bill's Panthers and me. Why not? I mean, everyone wants
to watch Josh Allen, Andy Dalton. Who doesn't want to
see that?

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Eric Collins? Is he on the call? The two best
quarterbacks for the Bills in my life, they.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Really are, Andy Dalton helping into that long playoff drought
for the Bills. But lakwan, let's go to the Panthers
side of things. Yeah, choose your fighter, Tuba Hubbard or
Rico Dowdell. If you're putting together a DFS Live.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
It's a Rico. I mean, mister Stark, we're not feeling
so good.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Look he's Peter like Tuba Hubbard is Peter Parker fading
away and mister Stark's hands because honestly, they gave Tuba
opportunity last week to really get ramped up that first half.
He had majority of the touches seventy two percent, snaps
in twenty six yards on two point nine yards for carry.
That is not going to get it done. On the
first touch that Rico had, he busses all for a

(12:13):
big run. So obviously that's when I knew it was over.
So going forward, obviously Florio knows he could speak best
that the bills are cooked on the ground. So I
think this is a game where Rico takes the job
and runs away with it and Tuba Hubbard managers right
now have to be worried about rostering right now, I.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Think both are in play this week. I like Rico more, but.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, I think this week, I think Cuba still has
a little bit of life left because run defenses.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
He wasn't playing badly.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
This is the same organization that paid Miles Sanders right.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Like the third on the depth trick. Yeah, but they
didn't pay him like Tuba paid.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
But Cuba lost his job multiple times. Now, I mean
Deontay Foreman, Let's stick.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
A battle, came in and snatched his chain and then
you know that's kind of where we are.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
The first time is.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Chain got snatched snaps of the two of them, he
actually did for sure Bears at the Ravens. Good news
for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson is back at practice and expected
to go this week. But on the other side of things,
Florio for the Bears. So I haven't seen a lot
of Dj Moore. Is this a one more chance situation
for him?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Nope, and start um sittinghim.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
I have him as I sit, and I'm like, this
is a new low because I've had him as I
sit before, but never in what looks like such a
favorable matchup on paper. The thing is, though, I just
absolutely hate the way he's being used. Seventeen percent air
yard and target share, just three deep targets and two
en zone targets. If you're not getting a lot of volume,
and he is not. He is one game all year

(13:35):
with more than five targets and it was six. But
he's not getting a lot of volume. You need to
make up for it with touchdowns in big plays. He's
not getting the opportunities to do that. And he has
one game this year where he had more than ten
Fantasy points. It came in the best match for a
wide receiver against the Cowboys on a late game touchdown,
like it's just not happening for Dj Moore.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
I think Romadun's say, great play this, Yam, but Dj
Moore Notson. I like Romo doing to bounce back for sure.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Also been a lot been interesting to see a lot
more DeAndre Swift, even Kyle Manung Gui.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, who I act this week Cowboys at the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Tough matchup obviously on paper, I'm not worried about Ceedee
Lamb because Cedd's always going to get his well. LaQuan,
what's your concern level for George Pickens this none. I mean, look,
we're seeing Dak back to full strength. Honestly, Ceedee Lamb
is back in the house. He's going to be very
busy with passer Tan. But then you have George Pickens
where Dak is going to take a shot against Riley
Moss because right now he's allowing sixteen point nine yard

(14:32):
for reception. That is real nasty work leading the Broncos back,
I mean defenders. So I do think at the end
of the day, we see George Pickens making the chunk plays,
this is opportunity for Dak to really get connected with Pickens.
I honestly think Ceede Lamb's going to have a great
game as well. But I think, honestly, when you're looking
at this Cowboys offense, they're one of the top five
offenses that can get in striking distance and make the

(14:52):
points count. That Riley Moss thing you mentioned was a
reminder to me that for the short time I wrote
an IDP column here, one of the things I learned
quickly is that shut down corners are terrible IDP options.
You want the guy on the other side, Patrick tartan
great player, terrible IDP player.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Because nobody throws at him. I hate you get tackles picks.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
It'd be like, oh, Jamar Chase, really good player, awful
in fantasy. Like that's that's why I just can't get
behind that.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Yeah, Like if you just tip tidy p people, go
get Radley Moss because he's going to get a whole
opportunities to make tackles on that side.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
We are not done with our weekend previews. We'll get
to some more of those a little bit after the break.
Also by week.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Replacements to help you out here and buy him again,
and that's coming up next here on the NFL Fantasy
Football show. I don't know if you've heard, there's six
teams on a buy this week. That means are going
to be a lot of open spaces in people's lineups.
So we've got some bye week replacements at the quarterback position,
the running back position, and a pass catcher whether it's
a wide receiver or a tight end.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
We each have three. So uh lakwan, who do you
got this week is replaced?

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Well, I'm looking at Michael Pennox this week. Man, I'm
hoping that Bejon gets them in striking distance. We look
at this Dolphins defense. They allowed four quarterbacks over QB
one numbers with twenty plus fantasy points, so I'm hoping
Pennis can be leaned on as a quarterback score of
six points and then Brashard Smith. Honestly, Matt Naggi experimenting
with the Raiders having a total of fifty two yards

(16:19):
in the first half and Mahomes had three touchdowns in
the first half also, so obviously he got a lot
of opportunities in the second half being that he was
able to out touch, hunt out touch, put checko, and
be able to have the opportunities in the red zone.
So looking at a Rondez Gastons Now his dad recently
had an interview said he's benched him twice this week,
I mean in the last two weeks. So we're hoping

(16:40):
that this week he keeps his word to the fantasy
streets and make sure that we don't mess up the groove.
And look that of Ronde Gaskins has been growing in
the fantasy streets right now.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Day has not even starting. You man, see that's rough Flord.
Who are your fine week guys. I coach on all
of those as well, OQ. I like all of them.
I also like Tyrod Taylor this week. Look, I know
that Jets.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
Haven't a name the starter as of the time we
are recording this, but Woody Johnson's comments reveal all it's
gonna be Tyrod, it looks like and it's the Bengals,
so it's a very good matchup. They allow a ton
of production. I'm playing him in a couple of super
flex leagues. I think Woody Marks is a good option.
I know it wasn't the best product if you watched
Monday Night Football, but he played more snaps than Nick Chubb.

(17:22):
He had ten to fifteen carries. He was the running
back heavily utilized in the passing game and in the
red zone, which stood out to me, it's a better
matchup this week. And then Romeo Dobbs like, don't look now,
but all he does is in the last three weeks
is get eight or more targets. He's scored double digits
in each of those games, and he's averaging seventeen Fantasy
points per game. Plus favoral matchup the Steelers, they haven't

(17:45):
been the best team against the receivers.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
And you might have heard there's maybe a little bit
of an extra incentive in this game. So yeah, I
think Dobbs didn't play this week. Yeah, I do like that.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
The Packer passing game has pretty much funneled itself down
to Romeo Dobbs in Matthew Golden with Tucker the wide receivers.
I should say Tucker Craft is in there too at
the tight ends.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Worry Watson's coming to ruin that all.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah, right for me, you have Tyrod Taylor. I'm gonna
take the quarterback on the other side in that game
is Joe Flacco, right. I mean, Joe Flack has a
lot of teams he could probably get.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Ride on, but he's come out.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
He's played well in his two games since taken over
as a starter there in Cincinnati. I mean, it helps
when you've got Jamar Chase and T Higgins to throw to.
But he looks fantastic. The Jets are kind of a
mess right now. They're better defensively than they are offensively,
but even that is sort of relatively speaking at the
running back spot, Tyler Aljeer.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Now, look, I think Bjon Robinson is going.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
To go ham on the Dolphins of this week, but
there's still room for Tyler Algier because he's getting touches
and he's doing a lot with them. Generally, he seems
to find the end zone more often than not. They'll
rip off a twenty twenty five yard run. So I
understand it's not gonna be a ton of touches, but
they could be high value touches and he's worth maybe
sliding in as a flex if you need him too.
And we talked about Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers offense.

(18:58):
Tess Johnson has stepped in there and of the the
Johnson brothers air quotes brothers that they've got there in
Tampa Bay, Tes seemed to be the one who's getting
most of the opportunities, So I like him, especially with
no Mike Evans, no Chris Godwin. You know, ABUCA hopefully
is a little bit healthier, but no Bucky Irving either,
so at some point Baker's got to find somewhere else

(19:18):
to go with the football in tes Johnson seems to
be the guy who was getting those opportunities and finding
the end zone.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
So there can be Fantasy MVP this week.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
I mean this week he really could be.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I mean, you know, he might be one of those
waiver wire pickup of the Year type candidates to go
on how things go the rest of the season. Back
to our Week eight previews, we got the forty nine
ers heading down to Houston to take on the text
it's a little bit of a reunion with the Kyle
Shanahan facing off against his old former defensive coordinator in
Demico Ryans. The Texans, for all of their awfulness on offense,

(19:51):
they are a good defensive team.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Florio, I mean, we saw them.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
They didn't stop Jackson, Smith and Jig But but nobody
really has this year is it hasn't really counted anything.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
The Niners receivers have been beat up. They have been
up and down.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Would you start a Niners receiver this week against Houston?
And if so, which one I.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Would prefer not to?

Speaker 4 (20:11):
But with six teams on by, that is kind of difficult.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
To me.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
It also kind of depends on who the quarterback is.
I know Kendrick Bourne faded this week, but there is
still clear chemistry there between him and Mac Jones. If
it is brought Perdy, I think then it's Jennings. Like
I think Jennings is in play with Jones as well,
But if it's Purty, to me, it's him, No questions asked,
because he has that rapport with Purdy.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
It's the Purty Jennings, It's the Jones born situation there.
Rick Ricky Piersoll hopefully back as well this week for
the forty nine.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Ers, So really who knows? Giants at the Eagles?

Speaker 2 (20:48):
The Giants coming off that heartbreaking loss last week through
the Denver Broncos. The Eagles though, got the passing game
going both the skinny and small batman got involved with
quand do we get more of aj Brown and DeVonta
Smith this week?

Speaker 1 (21:01):
I mean, does Jalen Hurts continue to press the ball downfield?

Speaker 4 (21:04):
I think so, man.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I think honestly, when you look back two weeks ago
when they faced the Giants, I mean, Jalen Hurts actually
was good in that game, completed over seventy percent of
his passion, was just under three hundred passing yards. If
they're going to keep this momentum, I think they continue
on getting skinning batman and obviously big batman, normal batman
at this point, right, is that what AJ Brown?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Normal?

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Just batman?

Speaker 3 (21:25):
At the end of the day, they're gonna both be
able to have the opportunity to put up yards against
this Giants defense that's at bottom of the table. They're
twenty knife in overall defense. And I do think that
the Eagles they're going to keep this momentum going and
they want to get their look back two weeks ago
that they took that out.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
I personally love the fact that AJ Brown had a
huge game and he was like, that's why you should
throw me the ball, Eddy.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I love it. I mean he said it after that
game against the Rams too. He's like, the reason we
won because you know they're throwing me the ball more
so exactly, Man, it works, speak your truth. Aj whatever
jents at the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
You and I both picked a quarterback in that game
as a biary replace, with Tyrod likely starting it's not
official yet, but likely starting for the Jets. Does that
change how you feel about any of the Jets? Skill
position guys are the guys you might start now that
you wouldn't have started before, or vice versa.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
The issue is.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
Who's playing for them, right, Like Garret Wilson's up in
the air, Breece Hall's up in the air.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I think Brice Hall, if.

Speaker 5 (22:19):
He's active, he's very much so a start this week
in a great matchup against the Bengals. I think we
don't know about Garrett Wilson receiver wise. I'm not doing
like Josh Reynold thing or any of that. I do
think Mason Taylor though I know the last couple of
weeks have been not the best, but the Bengals have
allowed the most fantasy points touchdowns to tight ends. Like

(22:40):
it's just a matchup thing and hey, maybe they'll be
able to complete a pass. Their owner's words and not mine,
But besides that, it's just kind of plugging in Tyrod
for fields and super flexing, so.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Not Alan Lazard. That's what I'm getting right there, Lizard King.
Not al all right.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
We'll have some more Week eight previews later on in
the week. We'll get to the Sunday night game and
the Monday night game. There's only one, only one Monday
night game this week.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
It's time to see who will deliver.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Presented by Uber Eats, we're giving you our top sleepers
for the week.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Who is your Snorelax this week?

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Lakwan No Offense. I honestly like the matchup. When you're
looking against the Jets. They're allowing the second most touchdowns
to the tight end position and no Fan ran a
season high thirty five routes last week. So I'm looking
at this guy taking over as the tight end one
for the Bengals, and I think No Offan he could
be in play as a red zone target for pretty
Flokker to just throw one up in the basket and
have him be fantasy relevant this week with Trey McBride,

(23:34):
Brock Bauers on By and La Florida. So I'm in
a situation where I missed a lot of those tight
ends on the waiver wires, and No Offense its just
sitting there in a fable matchup.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
It would be wild if like this is where Noah
fan finally pops right, because it just never happened for
him at any point. So if this is the one
that gets it done, that would actually be kind of amusing.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Uh Floya your sleeper.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
Uh Kylemnung guy who last week played almost half the
snaps just under it, but sixteen opportunities turn it into
nearly one hundred yards a touchdown, seventeen fantasy points and
what I love. Since their bye week, Bears are running
the ball at the third highest rate in the NFL,
specifically on outside zone runs, third highest rate, and the
Ravens have allowed these second most fantasy points per game.

(24:14):
Two running backs a little bit less uh more game
script dependent than say DeAndre Swift. But I do think
he's in play as a sleeper.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah. I do like my own guy as a sleeper
this week.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yeah, the Bears Bears have figured out so he sort
of is there something about Rutgers guys because he runs
kind of like Isaiah Pacheco, not quite as angry, Like
he's not quite stomping on the grass, but I see
a little bit of it there, Like I don't.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Know if this is a Rutgers thing. That they teach
their game from Jersey Jersey.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Yeah, he tried to hurdle a guy like if he
was Brian Leonard or something. I mean, another Rutger guy.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
We just want to hurdle.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Man hurdle is out there. I guess I gotta look
that up my sleeper of the week, and I promise
you that I'm not making this player up. Chim Ray
DK down with the Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Who him Ray DK? And I know we spent all.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Year talking about elic Iomanner, but DK was the guy
that the Titans actually drafted first. He went about thirty
picks ahead of Iomner in the draft. Really wasn't getting
a whole lot of opportunity. But since Brian Callahan has
moved on. First, Callahan gave up the play calling duties
and then he was let go as head coach. Since
to give up the play calling duties, a couple of

(25:19):
weeks ago, they started to sort of unleash DK a
little bit more. They're getting him on the field, letting
him run more routes, so letting him be more of
a downfield threat, which is what he was in college
and cam Ward as they've simplified the offense for him,
trying to get him more involved, trying to make things
happen for DK. So I like the matchup. The Colts
have been actually been giving up a lot of yards
and touchdowns to receivers. Also, I do expect that the

(25:42):
Titans will be playing from behind, having.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
To throw the football a little bit more. So. I
think DK is a guy that you know.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Again, we're talking six teams on a buyalk in deeper leagues,
we're talking a flex situation like you know, I don't want.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
You know, I started you know, I started him over
George Pickens. Like, don't do that, play him over George Pickens.
They don't do that.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
So Jim Ray d K maybe a name that we're
talking about. When this week is all said and done,
that is it.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
We are done.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
We appreciate you hanging out with the NFL Fantasy Football show.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
You know the drill.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Tell two friends to tell two friends rate review and
remember the first thing about becoming a zombie. It's all
the walking you have to do, be safe, to take
care of yourselves.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
We'll talk to you again real soon.
