Speaker 1 (00:12):
What's up, everybody. Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
I'm Marcus Grant, joined by Michael f. Florio and Lakwan Jones,
and we are happy to be setting lineups again. We
have made it to the first full weekend. We got
a Sunday, We've got a Monday. Gentlemen, I know we
got a lot to get to. If you don't mind,
can we just get started on this one.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Let's go something. Look, I get it.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
You know there's an unwritten rule in the NFL rule
book that's not actually a first down unless the ball
carrier gets up and signals first down.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
That is that they don't move the chains until that.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know, you don't get points if you don't try.
I love the running backs to like six yards short, they're.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Like first down. There you go.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
We did talk about a lot of the week one
games on Wednesday show. You can go back and check
that out at your leisure. In the meantime, we're gonna
get into some starts and sins and some bold predictions
for the weekend that is to come. So we will
get started with some of the afternoon games. We'll start
with the Titans and the Broncos Florio. The Titans, their quarterbacks,

(01:12):
said their offense was mid in the middle part of
training camp. Well, we know there's a lot of Broncos
you're starting beyond Calvin Ridley, anybody on the Titan side.
You're interested in starting.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Tony Pollard because last year, in games where he played
at least sixty percent in the snaps, he averaged twenty
touches per game and no Taj spears, So I think
he's going to see enough volume. I know the matchup
on paper isn't great, but the one weakness that Broncos
had last year was past catching running backs. So I'm like,
if they're in ketchup mode, we could see a lot

(01:42):
of dump offs go Week one. Also, I'm a big
believer and like, yeah, there might be players with better
matchups and stuff. I want the guy that's guaranteed to
touch the ball because we're figuring out so much early on.
Tony Pollard is guaranteed to touch the ball. So I
have a league that where I'm considering sitting my guy
Calvin Ridley because I'm like, oh, that's nice all over him.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Oh yeah, strap, it's strappers over there, man, Like I'm
with you Florio, like I am sitting Calvin Ridley in
a lot of leagues. I just think that you're rolling
the dice on Calvin Ridley going out there where I
know he looks like an excellent choice. But like Marcus said,
cam Ward said, the offense is mid and then when
we look at preseason, Kim Woard didn't score a touchdown

(02:23):
in any of his opportunities there. So just saying I.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Do appreciate, by the way, the defensive backs nowadays are
preaching vehicle safety, letting letting you.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Know when it was a bad throw, you didn't do anything.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Bro, I mean on either side. I know for you,
you're big on r. J. Harvey.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
That's a ticket, like, that's what that. I always thought
it was a sword. You blew my mind just now.
Oh I always thought they were doing a sports thing. No,
they're they're doing like a seat belt, like they're locking
you up. Like I'm literally surprised right now.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
It's a seat belt.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I was like, dude, these guys all want to be
on Game of Thrones.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Lak on On. I know you're starting. R. J. Harvey.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I'm sure most folks are starting, say bow Nicks, Courtland, Sutton,
probably Evan Ingram. I'm gonna give you a choice, Pat
Bryant or Troy Franklin.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Where are you going there?

Speaker 4 (03:18):
If either, oh Man, I gotta go Pat Brian. I
think Troy Franklin. His hype is a lot of the
summer hype because he's getting more opportunities out there. He's
in the sunshine light in the eyes of Sean Payton
right now. But when it comes down to Sean Payton
having a type and the prototype of the Michael Thomas
two point zero without the attitude and slant god, I
do think Pat Brian finds his way on the field

(03:40):
as the wide receiver too, just based on his football IQ.
That's what keeps him in the talks with Sean Payton
as a guy that he looks to to make big plays.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Slant Boy, call me Michael Thomas. Slant Boy was one
of the like colder.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
He legitimately hated.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm so mad it was so much RESTful, Like we're
gonna keep saying it like that. Only time thing is
like like if you didn't care, Like, dude, why are
you on Twitter?

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Why are you on Twitter?

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Eight a m bro?

Speaker 3 (04:06):
You just gotta finish a game.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
So funny though that like us fantasy people were just like,
we're gonna keep saying this thing that you hate.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Like because you got so mad about it, keeping him
slim boy.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Uh. Moving on to the forty nine Ers and the Seahawks.
Against my better judgment, I'm going to ask Lakwan Jones
a question here regarding the Just Go forty nine Ers.
Juwan Jennings is expected to play after missing the majority
of training camp and the preseason. We know Ricky Piersoll
is gonna be there right now. He's kind of projecting
as the wide receiver one. All things considered, would you
consider throwing Juwan Jennings in a lineup?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Please be as objective about this as you can.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
To be serious, though, I don't think I am ready
to put him in starting lineups. I know he brings
some flex appeal, and I know his connection where Brock
pretty was strong as it could ever be last season.
He's paid now, he's motivated with the insentatives now, including
his contract. But I'm just not ready to put him
out there. Being that the calf injury quote and unquote
magically got better soon as Kendrick Bourne took a visit

(05:08):
over there in the forty whiners. But that is nothing
here or there, but it.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Just comes out. I'm sorry, I'm just saying it just
happens to come out.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
I don't know how to say the other way.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
It's the forty whiners. Man, They're all in my dms,
in my you know, in my comments. When I go
on TikTok Live, it is wrowing rocks.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
At hornets nests and being surprised when the bees come.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
That is your hole in bove.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
I'm a little bit more dangerous though. I like hitting
the hornet's nests and just squashing them. Man, it's all good.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I should have asked you a Cooper Cup question that
would have been.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
You should have, but you didn't.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
So for I have been kind of beating the Zach
Charbonay drum this whole offseason. Everything I keep reading says
he's pushing for RB one snaps. You know, Kennith Walker
is kind of banged up in the preseason.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Am I am?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
I crazy? Is this still Kw's job? Or is Charbonay
really coming for this thing?

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I think I think there's a world where Sharboney could
be coming from it for it, But until we see it,
I'm operating as if it is still Kenneth Walker's job,
because I'm a big believer that like Sharbone is really good,
like he is a very good backup. But if Kenneth
Walker lives up to what we think he could be,
We're not gonna care. Like he's gonna put up plenty

(06:21):
of big plays and yardage and all of that. So
like for week one, personally, I'm starting Kenneth Walker everywhere
I have him. I wouldn't be starting sharbon Ay. But
I get the thinking, like, like I know that, like
you really like him and stuff, and I like and
the thing is like, yeah, you were taking him kind
of where you're taking Jordan Mason maybe like a little

(06:42):
bit later, but not much, so like you were paying
a premium to have that guy on your roster.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Well, and that's the thing, Like I in the spots
where I've drafted Sharbonay, like I'm not crazy enough to
start him right away, Like it has really been kind
of a draft and stash thing, right just waiting to
see how this thing turns out, and just sort of
trying to follow the.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Drum beats from Seattle about this whole thing.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
And you know, look, you're right to your point if
Walker stays healthy and he's the explosive Kenneth Walker, then yep,
I guess I got a handcuff potentially. You know, if
something happens, If.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Something happens to Walker, though, you have in RB two
with RB one upside, yeah, you can play week exactly right.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
On all my Walker rosters that I've had this summer,
I have strapped him with Zach Sharbonay because we know
when k Walker goes down that you have Charbonay to
come in as a RB one because he is just
as good in that system.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
So I feel good.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
About you know, Zach Charbonay as like a stashed, like
as a handcuffs a guy that you're gonna have on
your bench.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Just be ready to deployed when that time comes.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Look, why are you starting Cooper Cup?

Speaker 5 (07:45):
So mg, I'm not though.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Now I'm gonna be serious though, Like I've drafted these
last two weeks of August a lot of Cooper Cup
because I want him on my bench all season long.
I don't want to see and look over at my
league mates that they got him in the starting lineups
and he has a great game, because that's gonna just
turn the knife. It's going to turn the knife in
my back to see him doing good over there and see.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
You rather.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Bench, Yes, there you go.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I love that you're not drafting him the hope that
he's going to be good. You're drafting him out of spite,
just to like, yes, poking with a stick every now
it's a.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
While, like what is this Ben?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
And like Ramsey Bolden are you doing right now? What happening?

Speaker 2 (08:27):
And if he's bad, you just you now have a
bad player sitting on your g's you know what I mean? Though,
we know that there's a person in the Jones household
that loves Cooper Cup.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
So you doing it for the family.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
How How can you look your son in the face
and tell him that this is what.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
You're doing to Cooper Cup. I cannot because you are
very upset. He'll be very upset.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
He doesn't know that I have these feelings for Cooper
Cup and what his decision making he makes.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
He's like, oh, Dad's drafted Cooper Cup because he's still
such a big fans.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, So nostalgia all the things Cooper Cup did for
the franchise, the Triple Crown, the Super Bowl win, That's
what it's all about.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Like, you know, I'm petty. God man, I'm super petty.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
It is what it is, man, man, just just ruining
Christmas for kids. This is what you're doing right now.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
We're checking out the Lions and the Packers and the
first touchdown odds for that game, and very little surprised.
Josh Jacobs and Jamier Gibbs sort of leading the way.
Josh Jacobs at plus four twenty, Jamiir Gibbs at plus
six hundred to score a touchdown, and you got David
Montgomery at plus nine hundred the Sun.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
God, I'm on ros Saint Brown plus nine fifty. Tucker Craft.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
This is the other Packer on this list, So we're
just I mean, I know Jaden Reid is banged up,
now you know the rest of the wide receiver like
not even like a Jordan.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Loves I would with Jamison Williams ahead of Tucker Craft personally.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
You know, where is Matthew Golden? Like this is alarming,
Like I didn't see him on this list. That's weird
though he's the one right apparently not Apparently it was
Romeo Dobbs.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
They love just giving him snaps, so like he'll probably
lead the team and.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Snaps again and They're like, well and then you guys, relax.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
It's gonna be Deon Tavin Wicks.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
What do we tom Me Wentz.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
He like he was the leader of targets last year.
Like he like it wasn't even like eighty. I don't
think he had like seventy nine targets.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I think I tried to get Matthew Golden in a
draft last night because I was like, I don't want
to be wrong, and like, like I have none of him.
I didn't get him. I have Jayden Reed on one team,
like I have no Packers because it's been such like
I know they have talent. I know that all of
a sudden, everyone's trendy super Bowl pick, but like they
have eighteen wide receivers.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
I think that was That's pretty much the hype from
the Michael Parsons.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I don't get they like the second highest odds now
in the NFC.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
It is, you know what Michael Parsons trade.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Jordan Love will be turning twenty seven this year, so
bright far when he was twenty six, Evan won the
Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers twenty seven won the Super Bowl.
I mean the stars are aligning over there in Green
Bay science.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
That just that just makes Packer Steelers super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
You heard it here first, Oh.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
No, that would be a horrible John two weeks.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Of hearing about Aaron Rodgers going against the Packers would
be more excited than Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Oh that would be the worst. That script happened in
the trash, Like, please don't let that happen. Let's look
at this game thought from a fantasy perspective, right, and
what we sort of expect here?

Speaker 3 (11:33):
I have.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
You know, I was going to ask my Jared Goff
question to La Kwan, but I'm not going to do
that because I learned. I learned my lesson from Juwan Jennings.
So Florida as you, if you drafted Jared Goff, chances
are you also drafted another quarterback. I look at it
as the indoor cat playing outdoors on the road in
what could be sub sixty degree temperatures, which I know

(11:55):
didn't sound like crazy, but for a kid from Marin County,
I mean that's.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
A little bit chilly.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I'm new offensive coordinator against the Packer defense possibly featuring
Michael Parsons. Like, I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it,
but that feels like a reason to maybe get away
from golf this week.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
No, I don't think you're overthinking it at all, for
all of the reasons you said. I have Goff as
a sit this week. Plus he's played four games in
Lambeau as a Lion. He has four total touchdowns in
those games, like, and he averages just over two hundred
yards per game in them. I have both quarterbacks actually
in this game as sits, because Love doesn't have a

(12:32):
good track record against the Lions either. I know a
lot of the times teams like these get together and
we're like, they're two good offenses, They're gonna score a
bunch of points. But like, these teams know each other
so well that a lot of these division games end
up being kind of ugly and like not really high scoring.
So yeah, like I'm starting justin fields over golf in
a couple of leagues, Like I have goffin super Flex.

(12:52):
Obviously I'm starting him there. But if you couldn't get away,
I would that being said, though, I'm starting my Lion's
pass catchers, you know. Yeah, Like I don't love golf,
but the pass catchers are good enough where I don't
like options on my team better than those guys.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Look, I've been all in on Jamison Williams. I mean,
if you if you drafted, I'm on Ross Saint Brown.
You spent a first round pick on him, Gibbs, you
know Gibbs, Like you're not sitting regardless of the situation. Uh,
you mentioned Matthew Golden Lakwan. Obviously I'm starting Josh Jacobs.
I mean, really, is it just Josh Jacobs anybody else?
I mean you're starting Jordan Love, Like, how many packers

(13:27):
are you really starting this week?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (13:30):
I'm kind of staying away from like the Matthew Goldens
of the world. I'm staying away from like the flex
options out of the packers, you know situation. Even with
Tucker Craft, I know a lot of folks went out
of drafts and came with him as their tight end one.
I think people are overlooking Luke Musgrave's back. He's a
vertical type of tight end Barry Speaster for six that
he runs. So I think he's gonna have something to
say this year because I think a lot of Tucker

(13:52):
Kraft situational targets last season was because Luke Musgrave was hurt.
So I know they're going to run a bunch of
twelve personnel. So I do think that Tucker Craft is
a sit and try to get away from him as
your tight end one, like you need to have a
tight end two that can be able to be serviceable,
because I think a lot of his ADP was inflated
just based on last season stats and situational targets that

(14:13):
he had.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
I mean, I just I can't get behind Tucker Craft.
I don't people sort of like him. I think your
Musgrave point is actually a valid one. And just just
the way they spread the ball around there, you know,
throwing a dart at Tucker Craft on a weekly basis.
It's just that's I just prefer not to live that way.
I just I just don't. I don't want to do that.
I'm good. Still got three more games on the slate

(14:35):
to get you some starts, and since four plus, we're
gonna get wacky at the end with some hot takes.
Stick around for more of the NFL Fantasy Football Show.
Three more games to get through in week one here
on the slate, the Texans at the Rams and uh
for you, how many Texans are gonna eat against Lakwan's

(14:56):
Rams this week? Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Whoa one guy.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Obviously, he's a mustard, and I got to explain that
one to you.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
I have CJ.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Stroud as they sit this week, Rams get pressure on
the quarterback. Stroud struggled under pressure, and I have questions
about that old line. I'm not trusting Nick Chubb. I
really want to see it first, and even then, like
and then the wide receivers behind Nico, there's upside there,
there's potential there, but like Christiaan Kirk's already banged up

(15:25):
the rookies, I'm not throwing out there not knowing what
their volume is gonna look like. And Dalton Schultz is
he was fun a couple of years ago, but he's
kind of an afterthought at this point.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
He kind of is.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
But I kind of like Dalton Schultz is a sleeper
this okay one because of all the things you said
about the wide receiver room. Like I know this is
not the greatest analysis, but they got to throw it
to somebody else eventually, right, So like, why not Dalton Schultz?
He was actually I think second on the team in
targets last year, you know, and the Rams were not
great against the.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Tight end position last year.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Asked Tack Bryde, who finally scored the S wait until
he saw the Rams to score touch down last season.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
So it's very much sleeper territory.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I'm not guaranteeing that you should start him, but I
do like him as a little I was waiting for
a rebuttal I was too.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
No.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
No, it's facts because since Sean McVay has taken over,
we have not been able to figure out how to
stop the tight end. So you start your tight ends
against our Rams defense. Because it's while that Sean McVay
was a tight end coach in Washington and then specializes
in understanding how to design plays for Titans.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Play on defense. It's like, I don't know how to
stop that.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
I don't know for them. He's like, Titans are so
good they can't be stopped. It's cool.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Ravens at Bills on Sunday Night Football. This to me
is the marquee matchup of the weekend, a replay, a
rematch of what was an epic playoff.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Game last year. You know you should be that Andrews
holds onto a two point conversion.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Yeah, they might not win that game.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
It might be a rap for him, but look, Makwan,
we know who you're starting, right, You're starting all the
big names, Josh Allen, James Cook, you know, Lamar Jackson,
Derrick Henry, so on and so forth.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Any potential sleepers though you see in this one Closha.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Here, I mean, why even get cute in Week one,
Like I could see him having a strong performance, you know,
coming out of the gates as Josh Allen's most reliable asset,
his sure thing, because we know that he's going to
be targeting that slot very often than not. So obviously,
khaloshakir Man, you should be trying to fit him into
your flex position against this Ravens defense where they've struggled
actually in the past of stopping slot wide receivers. So

(17:36):
I do think with them allowing a ton of big
plays last season to the wide receiver position, Kolosha here
can come out swinging and put up some big numbers
in Week one.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
On Thursday's edition of NFL Fantasy Live, I did these
slots of fun segment guys that I think you're gonna
have decent games. From the slots, I projected eight catches
for eighty nine yards for kaloshakir I let Adam Ranks
wort appear pressure me in to giving him a touchdown,
guarding him in a couple of leagues ranks like, yeah,
he adopted like nineteen dogs over the summer as I did.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
I'll give it.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
So looking for big things from Khalil Shakir this week
should be but that should be a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
That game saved dogs off the field, is a dog
on the.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Field, It's all.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
It all comes full circle and then does not have
a rooting interest in that game. I can, you know,
sit back and have a cold one and watch it?
Will do you sit down for big games or you
are you a pacer?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I'm a pacer, especially football, Like I'll run out of
the room like I I you know, like that's why
I like to be home for big because I want
to react. However, however, my body in that moment feels
like reacting.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I one hundred percent understand that I have no judgment
for me at all.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
I'm pacing.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
I'm standing up in front of the TV too, and
just from the screen screaming.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
But this is the Jared goof times of the year.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
So that like three.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Regular season games a year, like the Ravens being one
of them, that'll make me get like. The Chiefs are
always a big one. Are the regular season games. I'm like,
all right, Bills are gonna win.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Like it's a very nice place to be in a
place to be in. You know, you have two emotions.
It's either relief or despair, like those.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
When they lose a game, you think they're gonna win
though you just all week you're like, what ha, just.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
You don't want to come to work because you know
it's gonna be on TV. Here it's the worst.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Monday night football vikings at the Bears. You know, everybody's
excited right about the Bears. Lakwan Ben Johnson's taking over.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Uh, you know I asked you about Ravens and Bill,
So'm gonna go to Florida Now.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Ben Johnson's there. Caleb Williams in year two, your expectations
for the new Bears offense.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm very bullish on this Bears offense, not not just
Ben Johnson, but the they rebuilt the interior part of
the old line. Those two things together adding more weapons
to I think it's skys like I have Kleb been
a good amount of leagues.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
DJ Moore.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Dj Moore kept falling all draft season, and I was like,
all right, I'll just keep taking It got to a
point where I had to tell myself stop drafting Dj
Moore because he's gonna be on all double digits of
your team. I have Romadoonsay and the Bunch. I took
flyers on Colson Lovelin. I love DeAndre Swift. Like this week,
I'm playing almost all my Bears because the Vikings last
year they were really good against the run, but they

(20:11):
really struggled against the pass. And I'm just excited for
I'm gonna be watching this game. I'm excited for Ben
Johnson I draft. I'm a big believer than in Week
one unless you guy like has like maybe Calvin Ridley.
We talked about him earlier, like you want to get
away from that matchup, but like if you drafted a
guy to be your starter, start him in week one
like that. I'm a big believer in that.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, no, absolutely, I'm I'm with you though. I have
a lot of Romo Donza, a lot of Kleaboys, a
lot of DeAndre Swift.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
I'm very big on the on the Bears offense this year,
so looking forward to seeing it in Week one. I
know Ben Johnson was not always happy. I know the
preseason performances at times looked a little rough, but I'm
very encouraged about what I expect to see from them
in year two. I keep saying it bears fans, you
will finally get your first four thousand yard passer this year,
Chicago Pope before passer. No, we're not having Makwan through

(21:01):
fight ons anymore. No, you're you're banned from fight ons
because you know this is not little bunny fufu hop
it through the forest. It's not stop it doing bold
predictions for week one, Lakwan, My bold prediction is that
at some point you're gonna learn how to actually do.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
A fight on. What is your bold prediction for Week one?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Man?

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Traves Etn Jr. Is going to mess up the fancy
streets minds.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
Man.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
I'm hoping that he actually goes out for a RB
one performance against the Panthers, who we're god awful against
running backs last season. And I think all the confusion
in the offseason has been around traves Etn his role
in this offense, and I think Liam Cohen giving him
a boost of confidence that he is the RB one.
This is the matchup for him to come out, swing

(21:43):
in and put the haters to bed. So Traves etn
is in one of my flex positions this week, just
based on the matchup.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Nothing about Trevor mid Lawrence huh no.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
No, oh no, no, the middle meter will make its debut.
I mean I got it right here, actually real quick.
If I could just show you guys.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
The middle meter has been made, okay, and we'll break
it down you know later in a different show.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Just stay tuned for later in the season when the
mid O meter Actually, because the baby you go to.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Staples and just routinely print out headshots.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
And players like, yeah, I'm walking distance from it, bro,
how did you know?

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Like they're like, all right, here we go again. Here
we are at some random football player man probably film
a TikTok who knows what.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yes, Florio, what is your bold prediction for the week one?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Then I know LQ will be on board with not one,
but both Broncos running backs go out and finish ones.
I think game script is heavily going to be on
their side because the Titans have Look, I'm a big
cam Ward believer, but it is first NFL game and
it is against the number one defense from last year,

(22:51):
the number, the defensive player of the year, all of that,
so I think there's gonna be growing pains. I think
both Nicks and co come out, they do their thing,
and I think the second half is just like grinding
out the clock using the running back. So I'm starting
Harvey where I have them, and I'm also flexing JK.
Dobbins in a good amount of leagues as well, because
I think they're both gonna be utilized.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
In the passing game.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I wouldn't be surprised if both scoring a touchdown this week.
I know the Titans last year were middle of the
pack against running backs, but they gave up a lot
of yards both in the air and on the ground,
so I'm expecting good things for the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Guys. Yeah, you guys see these highlights?

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Oh my god, bro, it's preseason.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
What are you doing anyway, I'm glad that you're finding
a moment of joy in this.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
You're about to bring the extra hot right?

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Oh yeah, no, this is the ridiculous, Like you need
a glass of a big giant couple of horchata to
like cool your mouth off after this one. Joe Flacco
Top ten quarterback this week. See here's the one about
the Bengals defense. It gives up a lot of yards,
and the Bengals are gonna throw the The Bengal's gonna throw
the ball a lot. The Bengals defense gives up a
lot of yards. Joe Flacco is going to have to

(24:00):
throw the ball a lot. This is dude who threw
the ball more than forty times a game the last
time he was with him.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Point I love this. We got a whole graphic the.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Last time he was with the Browns, he was throwing
the ball more than forty times a game. I don't
know if they plan on that happening, but it could
very well happen again.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
I think if there's gonna be some picks in there.
Don't get me.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Wrong, but he's gonna throw a lot because the Browns
are gonna need him to throw a lot, and he's
gonna sneak.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
He's gonna be guys like, Joe.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Flack was a top ten quarterback and then we're gonna
be like, Okay, don't don't get it.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
I can see his stat line already.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
It's gonna be like three hundred and thirty yards, three touchdowns,
three in Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
He'll he'll pull the jamis pretty flock out big jersey.
It'll be great jersey. There you go.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Those are our hot takes heading into Week one. Meantime,
that is it's we are done. We appreciate you hanging
out with the NFL Fantasy Football Show presented by Caesar Sportsbook.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
You know the drill.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Tell two friends to tell two friends rate review and

to take care of yourselves. Enjoy Week one everybody, and
we will talk to you on Monday.
