Speaker 1 (00:00):
The quartet from Anchorman to Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Dave Kepner,
Paul Rudd. Oilers, there's number one Rain Wilson here on
the Rich Eyes and Podcast. Is that? Is that the
twelfth Man? Have you been in that sight and your
ears literally bleed? They should hand out like ear tampons

(00:20):
at LT Underscore two one? Do you follow me on Twitter?
Cup Off? I'm not known for your lateral movement, but
don't you leave just yet? He is Vince Vaughan. How
are you events? I gotta je you. I did take
David Wilson early in my fantasy draft. Who else during

(00:43):
your fantasy team? I'm an eight team manage. We called
a man bleach uh NFL completely cut to yourself, Jerry Jones? Crap,
Jerry Jones did it? Used to the Oilers. Hello everyone,
and thanks for joining us. I'm Richard Oisen. I don't

(01:09):
download many podcasts, but when I do, I prefer Rich
Eyes and Podcast? Is your host? Rich everybody? Holomophone again,
Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia, site of Thursday Night Football, Week
number three of the NFL season. The kickoff the Atlanta Falcons,

(01:31):
fresh off getting waxed by the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati
last week hosting the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who lost
two at home to start the Lovey Smith Era, a
week one opening loss in division to the Carolina Panthers,
and then last week UH losing it home to the St.

(01:54):
Louis Rams and Austin Davis, the quarterback from southern myth
that has more winds currently in the two thousand fourteen season.
Then Drew Brees and Andrew Luck put together. It's part
of the shocker so far of the two thousand fourteen

(02:16):
season that has been filled with news headlines as much
as sports headlines, and as far as this show UH
is concerned, the headline of this show is, as you know,
it's turning into a daily television program um to be
shown every day Monday through Friday, twelve to three pm
Eastern on the Audience Channel, the Audience Network on Direct TV,

(02:41):
and also streamed live on the NFL Media's new wondrous
app NFL Now, which if you haven't gotten yet, you
should because even before this show hits it it's a
It's a treasure trove of information and video and everything
that you need to know about your favorite team. And

(03:01):
of course your fantasy team. And as we'll discuss on
this show. Um, I don't really want to discuss fantasy football.
Two weeks into the season. My two Chrisses are with
me back in Studio seven as it's called in the
NFL Media campus in Culver City, Chris Loga to chat
with you. You're there, right, ch Pleasure chat with you.
Your Philadelphia Eagles two and oh and oh, and you

(03:22):
know I did call that one against Andrew look in
the Saints. That was my super Bowl matchup. If you
were a call, I mean and and the two and
oh they had to pull it out of their second
half orifice, if there's such a thing. I mean the
first half. Week one down to Jacksonville seventeen nothing, Week
two down to Indianapolis at one point six, and both

(03:48):
times second half storming back. The Shetland Pony Darren Sprowles
has been the addition of the of the year so far,
and he looked traded for a fifth round pick in
the Saints. Took a linebackground of Florida. I mean that
fourth and you know, half a foot against Jacksonville right
around midfield where he burst not only for the first

(04:09):
down but the touchdown to start that comeback, and then
what he did on Monday Night football. I mean, Darren
Sprowles is a reason why the Philadelphia Eagles are two
and oh right now, UM, two and O team in
the in the NFC, along with the Carolina Panthers at

(04:29):
two and oh and also the NFC West leading Arizona
Cardinals at two and oh. But interesting, love, who who's
not doing O is Chris Brockman's New England Patriots because
of that Week one opening loss in Miami. But you
had to like what you saw in Minnesota. Well, I
liked what I saw in Minnesota. After the first drive

(04:50):
by the Minnesota Vikings, I'm not gonna lie. I was
very worried when the Vikings marched down the field and
scored a touchdown. And it was The interesting thing too,
is that was Matt Ussel's first ever game on a
college football field, right. I saw that tweet over the weekend.
That was really that's a really great I didn't play
a single lick while he was at USC and then
we all know what he did filling in for Tom

(05:12):
Brady was at eight and then UM and then he
one week one in St. Louis and the Vikings looked great.
And then we all know what happened the day after
we posted our show last week, Adrian Peterson getting indicted
for UH for endangering a child, injuring a child, and

(05:32):
the child being his four year old son, and the
Vikings went ahead and and deactivated him for last week's
game on the spot, something that the organization was lauded
for doing. Um, although it sounded like a no brainer.
But as you know, in the NFL these days, moves
that many people feel as a no brainer are not
being made. Case in points, Monday comes and the Vikings say,

(05:55):
after careful consideration, UM, Peterson's back with the team and
back on the field, and he's going to play in
New Orleans week three. And then about a couple hours
before the taping of this show, the Will family stepped
to a podium and said that that is not going
to be the case. Adrian Peterson is now on something
called the Commissioner's exempt list, which I didn't even know existed.

(06:18):
It sounded like a double secret probation. Um, so he's
on the exempt list, which you know means he is
He's out until, as the team says, he fixed, he
goes through his legal case that's going down in Houston,
and that case won't go to trial, or at least
there is next court appearances October eight, October eight. So

(06:41):
from a football standpoint, I don't know the next time
you're gonna see Adrian Peterson on the field this season. Um,
And obviously is the way this case goes maybe ever?
Maybe ever, you know, And I there's lots of discussion
that goes back and forth. You know. Charles Barkley was
very vocal this week talking about how everybody who grew

(07:01):
up in the South had been disciplined in the manner
that Adrian Peterson was disciplining his child. And many people
believe that that that's a private matter. I'm of the
exact opposite. Again, I grew up in the Northeast. If
you want to talk about different upbringings. If that does matter,
in my mind, it's it's a red line. A four

(07:23):
year old is not to be touched, and certainly with
a with a stick, taking kids pants down and hitting
him with a stick. And I I've met Adrian Peterson.
This is a shocker to me. This does not seem
like something that this guy would be capable of doing
or would think of doing. But then again again, people
talk about upbringings. To me again, I mean, I shook

(07:47):
the man's hand and and he's got We've talked about
that on the podcast many times. It's got like a
vice like grip. When he shakes your hand, he feels
like a blood pressure cuff has been put on your arm.
You feel the pulse in your arm. That's how hard
the man's squeezes. And I couldn't imagine if he would
be admin administering that discipline to say me, a grown

(08:10):
man of forty five years of age, where do you
fallan somebody is forty one years younger than me? Where
do you fall in on intent? In this instance? Obviously
what he did was wrong no matter how you look
at it, discipline, child abuse, whatever where I call it.
It was clearly child abuse. But well, where do you
look at intent in this because just kind of knowing
Adrian Peterson, seeing the press release, seeing how he is,

(08:33):
it seems like his intent wasn't to abuse. That's what
he was doing. But I don't think the intent was
was necessarily Do I think that that that he is
a guy who's going to sit there and say I'm
going to abuse my child. No, I think he would
think it was child bed is abusive. It's abusive, and
you know clearly um a grand jury thought it as such.

(08:57):
And there's a lot of discussion is how many times
this case was presented to a grand jury and and
and whether this is some form of a prosecution that
that's being made in terms to get somebody famous from
law enforcement. That seemed to be Charles Barkley's point that
the first he just brought that up over and over again,
that the first Grandy was speaking from experience that he has.

(09:19):
He has he has been in the cross hairs of
of of prosecutors who are trying to make a name
for themselves. I mean, there's no there's no doubt about that.
What's kind of stayed out of this story or I
haven't listened it brought up too much? Is I mean?
Adrian Peterson did have a two year old son died
last year of abuse and by by his by the

(09:40):
baby mother's new boyfriend, you know, And and and whether
that and obviously his lawyer said that that is something
that was looked into and never never charged for. And
there's there was an adult that was present that that
that fully um uh, that fully the I had that

(10:00):
account being the truth. I don't know, but that's why
this this needs to be removed from the football arena,
as the Vikings, in my mind, smartly rightly did. Certainly
when the governor of the state is coming out and
saying that the team should suspend, when one of your
sponsors says, where we don't want our name and the

(10:21):
backdrop behind you anymore. We don't agree with what you
were saying while you were standing in front of that backdrop.
Do you think and and the Wilves Ziggy Wolf said
today they said that their their move they made Monday
was a mistake and they corrected it. Do you think
there's any way he ever plays for the Vikings again,
I don't know. Even even if even if this matter

(10:48):
is adjudicated in a way that vacates or charges get dropped,
there'll still be a large group of people that think
he's a child abuser exactly. Look we we we've had,
We've had a lot of people the Rams you know
took um Lawrence Phillips with the sixth overall pick. I
mean things things happened. Look at what's going on with
Jamis Winston and Florida state. Where where is he going

(11:10):
to be drafted? The things are shifting, obviously there's no doubt,
but um to say he won't play again, and with
the Vikings, I I'd be surprising. Lawrence Phillips was almost
twenty years ago. It's differently. And we we had on
Game Day Morning, good Lord on Sunday when just when

(11:30):
you know, we were um juggling talking football as I
started that show on Sunday. It's very rare when you're
at the top of a four hour football show, you
have to remind people we will be talking football on
the show, right Um that that you'd say that at
the top of the program. But that's the world that

(11:52):
we're living in right now. And and Greg Hardy, who
we all know, has been found guilty of a misdemeanor
of domestic abuse charged by a judge in the state
of North Carolina. This was back in July, and as
is his right, he can ask for a trial by jury,

(12:13):
which he did and has been playing for Carolina since.
And then comes Sunday, he goes to work and is deactivated.
And as Michael Silver said, as our show turned into
half an hour, breaking news coverage of this de activation

(12:34):
the healthy scratch. He said, it's a new world in
the NFL right now, two thousand fourteen as a whole
new world. I don't know if he saw Rich because
you're traveling on the road. Rich Hollenburg just tweeted at
the Panthers. Greg Hardy has just left the facility with
Drew Rosenhouse. Rosenhouse said a decision was made, but wouldn't
say what that decision was. So obviously by the time

(12:54):
people hear this, they'll they'll know. But that's the latest
up to the minute. And Caroline has got a big game,
and hey, you know what I mean. But Carolina without
Greg Hardy, without him Sunday three scores better than one
of the most potent offenses in the NFL without him,
So they sat him. And that's what Ron Rivera said

(13:16):
at one point this week. He goes, if we play
him and we and we and we win, we don't
have a conscious. If we don't play him and we lose,
then it's a distraction. But there was a third option.
You don't play him, and you you boat race. At

(13:37):
in the fourth quarter it was a tight game. I
guess it's not a boat race, but you you sort
of put your your stamp on a game with your
defense against Megatron, Bell, Bush, Stafford, Kate Ebron. I mean
that's a pretty good offense that they went at and

(13:57):
held to just one score and the hell Megatron out
of the out of the out of the end zone.
So I mean that's the state of the National Football League.
But as I said, our show that's coming up, Um, Brockman,
the reason why we got off on all this is
we talked about the Patriots, and you soon are about

(14:19):
to get reinforcements on the show front. I'm very excited.
I'm very excited about this because I feel like I've
been piled upon for years on this program. Right. Well,
as you know, you guys are still going to be
producers of the show. You're gonna still have a production
role and the law You've been producing the show and

(14:42):
posting it for three and a half years, right pretty
much from the beginning, and Brockman, you were doing the
television side of things. Well, now you guys are about
to become on our talent in a full way. Lord
help us. So we of an executive producer that's been
brought in and he's right there in studio. His name

(15:06):
is Ted Mlcaren. How are you Ted, I'm doing well.
Thank you Rich. Welcome aboard, Welcome aboard, Welcome a beautiful
Studio seven. It is beautiful. And you are, like Brockman,
a first rate masshole. You know, I'd like to think
I'm more of a third rate mass whole. Culturally, I'm
a first rate in New England Patriots fan, and I

(15:27):
have the the the tiny child's eye Russ Francis Jerseys
to prove it um. But I I always guard against
becoming a sort of going to the full, you know,
full blown mass sports. I'd like to think. I'd like
to think I don't. And when I do go home,
I see them around and it always provides a good motivation.

(15:50):
We love those guys, yeah we do. But but it's
it's really it's nice too. But you and you could
say that you can't call a Harvard person a mass whole.
But you know if you have seen in film that
an M. I. T. Janitor can be right, yes, well yeah,
who solves some of the most difficult mathematical problems, and

(16:12):
that Infillment Academy Award winning script was built on that.
Though you are a Harvard educated guy, I am. I
am the eighth the eighth most winning UH football team
in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. There's a little fact
for you. I'm sure Richard will be quick to point
out where Michigan ranks on that list. Yeah, you know,

(16:35):
Michigan is the Harvard of the Midwest, right right? Um?
But yes, no, I'm extremely excited to join the program,
to join the boys and rich on the new program.
And I'm extremely excited to be here today. Yeah, so
we explain everybody where your your background, where you come from. Touch,
Sure I interview you, just do you have the floor? Sure?

(16:56):
I I was prior to this, I was the head
writer of The Lately Show with Craig ferguson UH for
a long time, and then before that, I worked on
The Lately Show with Craig Kilbourne and UM. I am
a huge fan of the league and that's where I
like to sort of keep my my patriots love rational

(17:16):
and I do like to see the development of other
a f C East rising stars, as as rich can
tell you. While back we had some lunch and I
was I was pumping the bills as a sleeper team,
UM with e J and Sammy Watkins and I'm I'm
excited to see them continue to develop. I hope it
doesn't develop into a divisional title this year, but I

(17:39):
I it's it's nice to see other talent around. Um
the a f C East and um that's it. I think,
where do you stand on the other New England sports teams?
I just don't have you know, as you know, you
really to put yourself in as a credible Red Sox fan.
It's almost a full time I'm thirteen month a year job.

(18:02):
I'm a baseball fan, certainly Red Sox fan, Celtics fan,
less so Bruins. My mother is the huge Red Sox fans,
but Patriots is your is your main. Patriots is my
main and I would I love watching the NFL more
than baseball, so I can never get fully you know.
I watch, of course socks playoff games and of course
you know World Series games, but it just there's nothing

(18:24):
right well you know, And that's that's part of the
reason why I said that you're on board here exactly
show because you're not a full blown Red Sox guy.
Because that I just if I already got one with Brockman,
who walks around with that be on his head yet
it right now, and I think that's fine. I just
I just find it's just it's just it's tough if
I'd have to get a second one. S sure. I

(18:46):
just found that. While I really enjoyed, you know, the
Last World Series last year, I do find the sort
of you know, they haven't won at home since nine thirteen,
sort of you know arias to be just ires. I mean,
they have won on the road twice in the last
ten years. Are we somehow looking for more excitement in
our lives? So I do find this sort of the

(19:08):
Boston sports cult. Having grown up in it, it's nice
to have some distance from that and be be here
in the West Coast, in the the heart of the NFL. Well,
I'm excited about this whole thing, you know, because this
show is going to start in October, and it's the
four of us, a lot of fun, very exciting on

(19:31):
direct TV audience network Dial and NFL Now, which is
particularly exciting. I'm not just saying that because I'm we're
on an NFL media show here, but this is, um,
you know, a digital world and where new iPhones come
out and people start flipping out and you know, tablets,
the surface tablets that are all over our NFL desks

(19:54):
and different ways for you to just download stuff in
your hand and second window of stuff and that that
happens um for every single sports game. I think I
saw some sort of statistic that um of NFL fans
are watching the game with a second window open Twitter

(20:15):
or their fantasy team or something. So to be able
to to to be the first live show, um uh,
original programming live show like that on NFL Now is
exciting that you're with us, Ted, I'm excited to be
here to piggy Big piggyback. That rich gotten a lot
of tweets, which means you've probably gotten eight hundred times

(20:37):
more about our international listeners and if they'll be able
to get it internationally in NFL Now is fully distributed internationally,
and they've also asked, well, you know what about in
podcast form? Some people listen all there at work, they
don't have the television. This is going to be a
podcast too and available as a podcast. Yes, there's it's
gonna be. You know, it's a three hour show, so
it's in and it's gonna be in the same mold

(20:59):
as Dan Patrick's for those who listen to to our
our good friend d p Um. You know, it's a
podcast and at for each hour it's it's a standalone podcast.
And I think we're gonna be able to figure out
how because I know there's a lot of fans who
are in listeners who like the long format of our
our program. So um, I just love the fact that

(21:19):
we're taking this show, um um with two of you,
Chris's and Ted bringing your experience from Craig Ferguson, and
just putting it all together and and seeing what we
can can concoct. You know, I'm pumped um in our
in our ten minutes that we have left because it's
a it's a short time. We're doing this on a
Wednesday when um tons of other podcasts are taping in

(21:42):
in the old Studio seven. The step of college football
has Bob Stoops calling in, right, Yeah, I believe I
believe the Oklahoma Sooner head coach is going to be
calling in. That's a that's a good game, let's put
it that way. You know, the Oklahoma and obviously Adrian
Peterson in the news. So um, you know it's a
big game on Thursday night too. I never thought, you know,
Lovey Smith was my coach of the year pre season

(22:05):
and right now, if you want to give out, you know,
the the eight with one eighth of the season done,
the eighth of that, maybe that's what we should do
in our future show Ted, what do you think guys
that we do an eighth of the season awards of
a quarter pole type thing. It's not even a quarter pole. Yeah,
it's what we what is it? Yeah, there's a reason,

(22:30):
is right, that's what it is. That's one of the
the twelve and a half percent. We went to universities law.
We didn't go to a state laws. Buddy. That's another
reason why Ted's here, so you don't have to do
bath having just gotten it Ron that is true. But
I mean, Bill O'Brien is two and all Houston Texans

(22:53):
have a two game lead over Indianapolis. I mean, how
impressive is that to know? Though? Really, hey, you are
what you are in this brother. I understand then with
what maybe they're only game of the year with r
G three as their quarterback for all four quarters. That
may turn out to be. As he dislocated his his
ankle in the win over Jacksonville, bringing in the Kirk

(23:17):
Cousins era potentially bringing back the Kirk Cousins area, bringing
back how much do you respect Kirk Cousins in his
postgame it was m even his Monday press or postgame
where he just basically flat out said, this is Robert's team.
I'm just here to do it in the meantime, basically
cutting anything off that could have been good for him,
because you know what, he doesn't need that over his head.
If he goes ahead and makes it his team, which

(23:39):
is gonna be plays for the Redskins again. But dislocated
ankle is not something that you're going to come back from.
And you guys, Ted and Chris Brockman know very well
back in two thousand one. Okay, Belichick had a big
decision to make right around week ten when Bloods returned,

(24:01):
and guess what he did? Stuck with Tom Yeah, yeah
he did. Yeah he did. And then interestingly enough, Bledsoe
needed needed to be employed in the championship Dido. People
forget that Drew Drew came in and won the game.
So Kirk Cousins, good for him getting up there and

(24:21):
saying this is r G three's team. But guess what
he makes that he makes the Redskins seven and one
and r G three says, Hey, I'm back from my
ankle injury. Everybody, what what What's j Gruden gonna do?
And he's already Gruden has already said that Cousins looks
like he he operates the offensive. He's very good at
what we try to do. Quote unquote is what Gruden

(24:45):
said on Monday. So I'm gonna go out a limb
and say, you're gonna see Robert Griffin play for the
Rams before he plays for the Redskins again. And so
the Rams are this is not draft where where there
where Washington gets all its draft picks back, They're gonna trade.
They're gonna end up trading him to the Rams mid season.

(25:07):
Now at some point maybe this off Stade. Meanwhile, the
Rams with Austin Davis are one and one, so and
minus Chris Long another major injury that they suffered major
give at least it's a possibility he could return this year.
But I mean the so the Texans want ahead and
and and beat up on Washington and then went ahead

(25:29):
and took care of business in Oakland, which looked horrible,
which was just dropping balls mid run. I mean the
number of of of untouched fumbles they committed on Sunday
was shocking. Well, our guy Charles Woodson said he was embarrassed.
You know, So Houston, Houston now has uh this week

(25:53):
a game at oh and two the O and two Giants.
You know you're in a row. I don't mean to
cut you off. I'm gonna call it time out though
here and uh, stop your your momentum. What about your
Jets there at the end and the Packers you you know,
here's here's the thing with the Jets that we mentioned
that during our World Cup discussion ted back in June

(26:20):
where I pegged that fans of of England it's the
same thing as Jet fans, where you're excited when they
do well, but you just know the trap door is
going to open, right, and you've emotionally prepared yourself gonna happen.
So going up twenty one to three in Lambeau, looking

(26:41):
great while doing it, you just know the trap door
is going to open. And it opens with Jordy Nelson,
who I love, as you know, I think he's got
the catch radius of Megatron for somebody who's not even
half who's not even that size, he catches everything within
his within his grasp. But you know Don Hudson, he's not.

(27:07):
But he had Don Meredith, he had the most receiving
yards for the Packers since when Don Beebe did it? Yes, sir,
So there's part of the trap door. And then, of
course the time out that comes from the bench that
negates fourth and four game tying touchdown from Geno Smith,

(27:28):
who looked very good at times, and the time out
was called by Sheldon Richardson in the ear of referee
who couldn't tell the difference between Sheldon Richardson and Rex
Ryan's voice. And Richardson said, the entire sideline was seeing
that Marty morn and Wegg was trying to call the
time out, and he called it on behalf of morn

(27:49):
and Wegg. Even though the head coach is the only
one who can call a time out from the sideline,
but the ref the officials supposed to keep his eye
on the field, can't turn and see who is the
one calling the time out. And Rex Ryan was um
not aware of all of this because, as he said,
he was on the defensive channel on his headset, getting

(28:10):
ready for the defensive call. Should the fourth and four
not work, Wow, I go ahead. Offer all of this
planning ahead. And we were mentioning the other day that
I'm curious how often that happens someone a non head coach.

(28:33):
I've been doing this for eleven years, and you want
to attack on the Sports center years I've been doing this. Um,
I've been doing this eighteen years, and I don't recall
another instance of this happening. All things considered, that was
a pretty great throw by Gino Smith. Was a nice
grab by Curly, you know. And the Jets have a

(28:54):
have a big game. They've got the Monday night game
against the Bears, who had a phenomenal Sonday night second
half where Cutler started winging around and suddenly Kaepernick was
throwing picks and what Corey Fuller right the the rookie
cornerback from Virginia Tech. What a game he came up
with to go in And you can talk to Stath

(29:15):
next time you see him. You know, they opened the
link by beating them on a Monday Night. It is
not easy in front of a nationally televised audience to
go into somebody else's building and win game one. But
that's what the Bears did. New Building. And now here
comes the bill. The Bears for against the Jets. You know,

(29:36):
the Jets are still number one and run defense. And
Matt Forte, who was on my fantasy team, I mean
he's he might have a rough night. But if if
um Jordy Nelson catches two and ten yards passing yards receiving, uh,
here comes Brandon Marshall, All Shan Jeffrey and Mark Teleosaurus
Rex that catched by Marsha I might add back to MetLife.

(30:03):
You know they're gonna try and feed him the ball.
That's an interesting game. That's a sneaky good matchup. That's
the Monday night capper, and then the Sunday night game
this week is Pittsburgh at Carolina. Carolina can go to
three and oh and should win that game. Should we
should we pick games? Yeah? I think we should pick games.
I think the time because why don't we just pick

(30:24):
up five five of the more interesting games and then
we'll have everyone go to the website to see the
rest of our picks. So then let's let's do that
Texans Giants game to make Texans go three. Yeah, the
Giants still look a mess. I don't know what's going
on in New York, but it's not winning football, that's
for sure. Man. Here's anothern nugget. Eli Manning is the

(30:47):
first Giants quarterback to go oh and two in two
consecutive seasons since Dave Brown. I just gotta, I just gotta.
I just got to believe that Giants at home are
gonna win that one. I'm gonna go with them. Even
though I went to seven and nine last week. I

(31:07):
just can't see the Giants going on and three again.
I just can't. They've They have six turnovers, the most
in the NFL through two games, and Houston has six takeaways,
tied for second most in the NFL through two games.
Chargers Bills, let's do it. The Bills are two and oh.
They are The Bills rule the early September roost every year,
don't they. It is tough to go all the way

(31:27):
from the West Coast up to Orchard Park. I'm sticking
with the Bills Mafia three and oh because you know,
and as I said on the podcast after Seattle had
that great Week one opener, that all they are is
just to stumble in San Diego away from everybody wondering

(31:48):
if they're just the same team at home or not.
And I think, you know, I think San Diego is
very good and I'm gonna pick them to win in Buffalo.
Would you call that a stumble by the Seahawks this
past weekend or will you just call that the Chargers
coming out and playing. I think the Chargers did did
just did a great job. But they don't look Seattle

(32:12):
doesn't look that way at home. Seattle just the way
they looked in San Diego. They just never looked that
way at home. But the exception of that, that wind
that they had, that turnover laden wind that they had
against Arizona last year where Arizona kept turning over Seattle
and then turning it into zero or three points, you

(32:34):
just never see it. Can I can I? Can I
dodge that and give an answer that's a combination of both.
You did a nice job, tapped YEA. Well, I sit
next to Mariuchi, So I'll go Charges, let's do Let's
do Packers, Lions? We well? Can I get Can I
get my pick in on this? All? No? No, no, look,

(32:55):
I got nugs here for you. Rich. Over the past
five season, West Coast teams Niner, Seahawks, Raiders, and Charges
are combined fifteen and twenty eight games that started at
one pm in the Eastern time zone. I'm going to
Bills and I think Ted's going with me. I am
I'm gonna stick with the Bills Mafia, and I think
we're gonna see continued. You know, very very tight game
management by e j Alright, let's do Packers Lions? Can

(33:20):
Green Bay go into Detroit and win? This is the
stomp game, right? Yeah? Yes, I'm riding Packers. They played
great in the second half against the Jets and then
they kind of figured things out. As long as Eddie
Lacy is healthy healthy and they still have number twelve upright,
I gotta like their chances. I think it's a shootout.

(33:42):
I'm gonna go Packers too. I think though, Man, I know,
you gotta look, you could lean well, depending out what
Ted does, you can lean wolf with here, Rich, I'll
go Packers on the road to Ted. You want to
lone wolf, lone wolf, and I'll take the time little
time off for the Lions, get those extra three days
and uh and get that Megatron recharged. I'll take the lines. Okay,

(34:07):
good job Niners in Arizona. Does Arizona go three and
oh and take a two game lead over two plus
game lead over the fort with Drew Stanton potentially starting again.
Oh is that is that for sure? I don't know.
I don't think they've they haven't. Carson Bomber said this
week he didn't know when he was going to be back. Wow,

(34:31):
you know what? Yes? Then I said this back in
March April, the Niners are going to You're gonna down.
I'm gonna I'm gonna double down on saying that on
the Niners not being good. I'll go Arizona with you too.
I'm just gonna go with the Bruce Arians love here
and and see how it goes. It's very early this season,

(34:52):
and I went seven and nine last week, right, I
gotta do something against the exactly we need to start
mixing it up or that means that I get further
and further away, Ted, what do you got? You got anything?
I'll go for Niners there. I don't think Kaepernick follows
up the last performance with one that is that bad,
and I think they'll I think they'll be able to

(35:13):
pull it out. I was gonna go if you would
have gotten Cardinals, it's gonna a boom roun you guys
and go here all the Cardinals I'm going Cardinals to
I think they went at home. Does anybody think Denver
wins in Seattle? No? Yeah, I don't think so either,
especially not after the way Seattle played in San Diego.
They got a lot to prove and they want to

(35:34):
They want to show everyone that the Super Bowl it wasn't. Yeah,
but Denver wants to show everyone that they're better than
Peyton Manning is four hundred years old. At Denver, He's
not gonna be able to hear anything. Four hundred years old.
I disagree. I think he's about you're doubling down in
your about. I think he's about three hundred and sixty

(35:57):
two years shy of. Okay, I do think Seattle wins that.
I think they go eight no at home this year.
I just believe it. Yeah, I'm taking Seattle as well. Yeah,
I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Panther's dealers. Anybody think
the Panthers are going to drop this one at home?
I don't, not after the way Pittsburgh let Cleveland back

(36:18):
in the game, and they really they really laid an
egg on Thursday. That's what I mean. Who loses somebody
of Greg Hardy's caliber and then does that to Megatron
and Stafford. I think that the three scores three. They
did it week one without their starting quarterback and then
week two without their best defensive lineman. They're they're they're

(36:39):
just so good. They're good, and they're getting better and offensively,
if they start putting points on the board, that's gonna
be a very tough team to beat. And to think
everyone thought they were going to be the one from
the NFC South to really take a step back, I
don't think so. But Big Ben looks good, although he's
saying he's still sore from that monster hit he took.
Marcus Wheaton's looks good. I like the Pathers here too clean.

(37:03):
Sweep on the Pathers. Monday Night for you, Rich, Yeah,
let's do. Let's you want to finish off with the
Monday Nighters. Yes, I'm gonna go with the Bears in
this one. I think what the Bears did in the
second half of that game in San Francisco is going
to carry over. I really do. I think that that
that was a confidence booster that is gonna carry for

(37:25):
some time. And the Bears, the Bears are the Bears
are a really good team, and I think the Jets,
even though they are usually better at home, I just
think that they're gonna be the ones to make the mistake.
I'm gonna go with the Bears. I really don't know
what to do. The Bears have really only played two
good quarters of football this season, But then again, the

(37:46):
Jets are the Jets, and you know they're gonna do
something stupid, especially especially on Monday Night football. I'm gonna
pick the Bears, but I'm gonna reserve the right to
change it to the Jets. We all have the right
to change our injuries come out something. Yeah, But I'm
just saying I try to like whatever we say on
why and I try to stick with it. I'm gonna
go with the Bears on the road as well. I

(38:07):
like the road team here, although they did not look
good in the first half. But for as bad as
they look the first half, that second half, I think
you're right with them. Abu hum Rich rolling in yeh.
I'll take the Bears too. I think that was a long,
a long flight home from Green Bay and that's probably
not sitting well. And the Bears, you've gotta figure they're
playing loose. They're playing you know, they played their best
quarter of football, the last quarter. I'll take them. Yeah,

(38:30):
I like them. I think it carries over Alright, guys,
a pleasure having you in this mix. I'm very excited.

At international shout out this week to Jeremy A. Kerbal

who's now living in Singapore. He says he's fired up

(39:16):
from what I've heard about Singapore. Maybe for the international
shout at when we do it on our show, ched
we can get like the national anthem of the of
the that's a great idea. That's a great idea. That
idea sort of setting the Russian national anthem is awesome,
which at the Olympics. I don't know if you guys
heard it, alright, it was played several times. Alright, guys

(39:43):
