Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Friend Show, Jared,
Hey, thank you for having me. You know, what's our pleasure?
Here we go waiting by the phone. So Elizabeth is a woman who you
met on a hinge and then takeit from there. What happened? Tell
us about any dates that you've beenon. Tell us what's going on now.
Yeah, so we met on hinge. We only went out on one

(00:24):
date, and I thought it wentsuper well. I've heard the segment before.
People usually do something super rude andmean and understand why they were churchs
about it. But I was acomplete gentleman. You know, I picked
her up, I had dropped heroff, and I didn't even try to
kiss her a figure. Let's saythat for the second date, I just
did everything I can to just tryto not come across like a creep.

(00:44):
And so I don't understand why she'sghosting me right now. I don't know
if there's something going on her end. I just kind of want to figure
out why. At the very least, gates I'm closer. Look at this
guy. We've got a self awareguy on waiting by the phone. You
know, he hears the segment. He's say, and no, nothing weird
happened. I didn't do anything.I liked this girl. I was a
gentleman. You were excited about her, and now you were like you,

(01:07):
you're befuddled. This might be incrediblyboring, but I guess we're gonna find
out. We're gonna call this womanElizabeth, see if we can get her
on the phone, and we're gonnasee if we can figure out from her
why she's not calling you. Maybeshe's been busy, maybe she'd lost your
number. Maybe Okay, those twothings are unlikely, but maybe there's a
good explanation as to why she hasn'tcalled you. And then we can set
you guys up on another date thatwe pay for. Okay, all right,

(01:29):
yeah, yeah, can you hangon for a second. Why I
play one song, I'll be here. Let's find out what's going on.
Far two of waiting metaphone after kitLeroy back in two minutes. The French
Show is commercial free, kit Leroy, It's the French Show. Good morning,
okay, Jared, Hey, welcomeback. Let's call Elizabeth. You
guys met on Hinge when on aday you say you were a total gentleman,
you say you've heard the segment beforeand that you didn't do any of

(01:52):
the weird stuff that you hear otherpeople do, and so you're confused.
You know, why is she notcalling you back? You want to go
out with her again, and sowe're gonna try and figure it out.
All right, Good luck? Thankyou? Hello? Hi? Is this
Elizabeth? Hey Elizabeth, Good morningFred, the whole cruise here from the

(02:13):
Fred Show. I'll starry to bother, but I do have to tell you
that we are on the radio rightnow and I need your permission to continue
with the call. Is it coolfor we talk for a minute? Sure?
Yeah, for like a minute.Hi, big fan farm. Somebody
appreciate that I won't take too muchof your time. We're calling on behalf
of a guy named Jared, whoI guess you met on Hinge. You
went out with Jared, Do youremember? Yes? I? Oh yeah,

(02:36):
Jared? Yeah? How can youforget Jared? Well, he reached
out to us and said that hereally liked you after meeting you on this
dating app and enjoy the date thatyou guys had, and was hoping to
hear from you again. Says thathe hasn't, so can you kind of
tell us what's going on? Whywhile you're not responding to him at all?
Um? Yeah, So basically hejust like freaked me the hell out,
Like you seem super normal on thedate, like it was a good

(02:59):
time. Um. Afterwards, wewere driving around and he said he wanted
to show me something, and sowe kept driving and then he pulled up
to this building. I couldn't reallysee it because really dark, and I
was like, uh, every episodeof N Order sp or something. I
mean, he takes you to adark building. Okay, then what and
then um, like we get out, it's still dark and he takes me

(03:22):
inside the building and it's a funeralhome like everywhere you know what I mean,
like weird smell like that really likewhat fer why he has? Like
family owns it, like and whoknows? Maybe he works there and like
whed about his career, but likehe just wanted to like show me around
and like thought it was super cooland like he got into one of the

(03:43):
coffins and then asked if I wantedto try Like what I mean, I
think most people are fearful of deathand and that kind of thing. So
I mean, did you indicate tohim that you, like I don't know
that you were fascinated by something thathas to do with funeral homes. I
mean, did you tell him thatyou like wish you could ride into Hurst

(04:05):
or something. I mean what happened? I mean no, Like I definitely
told him. I was, like, you know, into like scary movies.
I'm like paran Alma stuff and likedefinitely believing ghosts and things. But
like, I mean, but Iwouldn't just roll up on the place.
I mean, I would ask youahead of time, let me bring Jared.
And I forgot to mention that Jared'shere. Jared a funeral home.

(04:27):
Really it's the family of business orsomething. I don't understand why you're so
weird a out. This is somethingthat's cool. No one gets to do
this. I've never taken anybody tocome to ye. Yeah, kind interested,
I'm kind of interesting. I'nna lie. Yeah, you go out with
him, Listen. I don't meanto put you on blaster or anything.
But on our date, you saidyou like scary movies, and you also
said you were adventurous and you lovetrying new things. And I didn't go

(04:51):
about what I do or what myfamily does. Yeah, I think she
means like the new sushi spot, like not not um in a coffin and
in a our funeral home in themiddle of an eye like Jared, you
offered to do my makeup, whichto me, is that exactly oh my

(05:14):
gut. Basically he was trying tolike fully simulate the experience without actually killing
you. Yeah, how did youleave this out? Like it's something that
I do every day? I don'tthink you guys would have mentioned that you
took her to like a radio studio, because that's what you do. It's
just something that's a part of yourlife. So I didn't bring girls to
the radio studio either, so likeyou know, I mean, and if

(05:35):
I did, I wouldn't try anddo their makeup. They want to hop
on this mic? Who are youtalking to? Who you've been talking to?
View? And who didn't you ask? I mean, don't you ask
these people who you take over? There? Like, Hey, would you
enjoy going to this place? Youknow what I'm saying? Well, I
just assume you probably have been toa funeral home at some point in your
life and you've lost someone, SoI just wanted to show you, Hey,

(05:56):
it's not always a sad place. It can be fun. And also
I've been a roaches just before whileI've done my girlfriend's makeup and they appreciated
it, because how often you getto be with a guy that you do
that. Um look, Elizabeth,So it was a miss. I mean,
I feel like it's always a misreadon this thing. But like I
he took you to where he works. He was trying to show you something
that is part of his life andthen he thought you might appreciate you didn't

(06:17):
like it, If he can,you give him another shot another day,
We'll pay for it. The guy, I can do your makeup, for
God's sakes. I mean, I'mgonna say no right now. Maybe in
eighty years, Like once it's mytime, we've all got a second date
and you can do my makeup. Then that's so nice. Maybe you could
offer her a discount, Jared,or something that's really weird. You gotta

(06:40):
know, Jared, you gotta knowthat people are freaked out by it,
Okay, but also being in thebusiness specifically, when you say eighty years,
it's probably gonna be a lot sooner. So yeah, the guy's up
with all the latest trends. Youknow what I'm saying. Eye gotta be

(07:03):
you gotta be on the pulse, you know. Okay, guys, best
of luck to both of you.Thank you for your time, for you
