“Can you help me?” o “Could you help me?”
¿Las dos significan lo mismo? En la práctica, sí: ambas se usan para pedir ayuda. Pero si prestas atención, hay una diferencia sutil pero importante. Can suena directo y cotidiano; could es más educado y suave. Esta diferencia en el tono puede cambiar cómo suena tu pedido, incluso si estás diciendo lo mismo.
