Todos vimos esos videos durísimos: personas esposadas bajando de aviones, tratadas como criminales peligrosos, muchas veces por un tatuaje, un corte de cabello o simplemente por su nacionalidad.
Examino el oscuro acuerdo entre gobiernos que revela pagos de hasta $20,000 anuales por cada prisionero recibido en El Salvador, y cuestiono si la política de "mano dura" de Bukele representa una solución real o solo un paliativo temporal que sacrifica derechos humanos.
¿Puede la seguridad ciudadana coexistir con el respeto a las garantías fundamentales?
