En esta primera parte de mi entrevista con Fede, exploramos su transformación desde un niño de Guadalupe, Zacatecas, hasta convertirse en miembro de la pandilla Florencia 13 en Los Ángeles.
Fede me comparte su infancia en el México rural de los años 70, la separación traumática de su madre a los 8 años cuando su padre lo llevó a Estados Unidos y su proceso de adaptación a una nueva cultura.
Con vulnerabilidad, Fede me describió cómo el bullying escolar, la inestabilidad familiar y la búsqueda de pertenencia lo llevaron a unirse a una pandilla a los 11 años.
Su relato adquiere un tono más oscuro cuando narra la muerte de su mejor amigo, asesinado a su lado, un momento que marcó su completa inmersión en la violencia, las drogas y el crimen. La entrevista culmina con su detención a los 17 años y su transición al sistema penitenciario de adultos, donde tomó la decisión consciente de convertirse en "victimario" para sobrevivir.
Una historia cruda sobre migración y las consecuencias de un sistema que falla a los jóvenes más vulnerables.
