En este mundo o eres el cazador o eres la presa. Entre 1984 y 1985 un joven de origen mexicano llamado Richard Ramírez acabó con la vida de 14 personas. Se le conoce como "The Night Stalker", el acosador nocturno.
Infancia complicada y una adolescencia aún más difícil, Ramírez temía y se sentía fascinado por la muerte a partes iguales. Pronto se aficionó a "salir de caza" con su walkman a todo volumen y con bate de béisbol, un puñal o pistola en mano. Las formas de asesinar eran diferentes y sus víctimas también. Un hombre que no dejaba rastro tras cometer los crímenes, fanático de satán y cuyo sadismo fue creciendo poco a poco.
