Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're live on Tampa Bay's number one and only hit
music channel ninety three three fl Z. A self inflicted
cooking injury happened to Ashley.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
What happened.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I was making salmon. I was seizing in my food
and I don't know how it happened, but I got
the garlic powder in my eye. And when I tell you,
I thought I was going to lose my eyesight because
it burned so bad.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I don't know how.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I used to wear contacts because I don't want nothing
touch my eye off.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What is the sensation of that? What does that feel like?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
You know what it feels like because this has happened
to me before. It feels like Dorito's cool ranch getting
in your eye. I never had that happen. Okay, Well,
maybe I'm just fad because after I crunch them up,
I go like this and I pick up the bag
and like dip it in my face.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Oh I do that too. I probably have a bigger mouth.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Because I get the powder in my eyes. I've gotten
it in my eye before, and it felt similar to that,
but it was so bad.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I ate and then I just went to bed because
it was I was in pain.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Unbelievably unrelated, and then we'll get back on track with
the cooking injuries. And I've got a story with that too. Unbelievably,
h just completely sidetracked. I drink all of my chips,
and if you don't drink your chips, you're crazy. Drinking
your chips is the best part about getting chips.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
My dad drinks at McDonald's friends fries. I do too,
y'all are crazy. Well, you don't want to get the
grease on your hands? Does he do it while he drives?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Yes, of course you don't want to get your greasy
fingers on your steering wheel.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Look at him when I was like, what is he doing?

Speaker 1 (01:30):
What do you mean, what is he doing? You know
what he's doing. What are you talking about? No, you
don't want to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Men are crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Very The fact that you knew he did he while
he was driving is even more crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Because dad's a man.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
A right, Ashley, A listener, Ashley, Yes, ay, what happened?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Hight? So I was making fudge years ago. My daughter
was like, she's sixteen now, and I sliced my finger open,
ended up with like twelve stitches and I still have
an awful scar. On my finger.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I've never had stitches before until until I tried to
remove frozen hamburger patties.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
With the knife.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
And I'm not Ashley, I don't know how it was
for you, although you sound like you're a lot more
mature than me, and you know, you being a mom,
you you have those built in superpowers that I, just
as a man, don't have. I couldn't touch a knife
for like months.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Yes, I was so scared.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
And then I felt so bad for my fiance because
she was like, I would clean every because I I
really I knew, like I can't touch these knives. She would,
And so then because I would clean everything, I would
do every single dish except for the knives, and be like,
all right, it's your turn. What do you mean it's

(03:02):
my turn? You have the knives, you're a knife duty.
I'll clean everything else. I'll clean every bowl, whatever, I'll
hand wash anything that's going into the dishwasher.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I can't touch the nose.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Oh my gosh, I get it.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
It's crazy. Now I have a cool you have a
cool scar.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Oh it's not cool.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
But how about nerve damage? Do you have that? Because
sometimes my fingertickles.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
No, Luckily, I don't.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Oh, I went deep. I went deep on it. Yeah,
I got like.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Nerves now know that you think I can really cut
my finger off when.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
I cut Now, So I think I'm finally at the
point now where I just cut and I think I'm good.
But if I ever am, yeah, no, I still have
a fear. I was like, we love you, Ashley, We'll
talk to you later.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Hey, Hannah, Hey, good morning.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
So you were a chef right yep.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
I went to school for about four years, was a
chef for about twelve years. Oh man, I became an
electrician right after I burned myself twice really bad because
other cooks wouldn't get out of my way with hot pens.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
I wrapped it up after that, walked out and began
a whole different life.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Stock.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Wow, so you were that ended your career. Yeah, that's
what it sounds like.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Oh yeah, I burned myself in the past. But the
fact that the ignorance of the other cooks, you know,
not caring about a person carrying out how man, I
did it twice in a row, and I just I
wanted to, you know, just start over somewhere.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Now, No kidding, Listen, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
We didn't been through some stuff, y'all. We didn't been
through some stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Oh yeah, hell and back and look at us thought, Hey,
who would have thought?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
So?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Here right now? Who would have thought? Wow?

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Definitely, It's never too late, never too late to pick
up you know, do something new.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Amen, if anyone gets burned out there today, never too late. Anna,
You're the best. I love hearing your voice. Have a
great day.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
Thank you, guys, have a good one.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Let's uh, let's move on. You know, we've got a
lot coming up. Obviously, we're gonna be an hour and
a half commercial free next. I had something kind of
crazy happened in my car that I want to talk
about coming up in the show. There is so much
that we are going to get to Ashley before we
get into anything, though. The first thing that happens as

(05:28):
we roll commercial free is.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
The news. What's coming up with the news.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Let's talk about Miley Cyrus and her engagement in this
new Netflix documentary Diddy the Reckoning.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Oh, we got to talk about it in sane Stuff

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
