I get a call kind of late afternoon, around dinner
time from Ashley. We're on Tampa Bay's number one and
only hit music channel ninety three three Fl's the Ashley
just go ahead and and tell me about this whole event.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Uh. So, I was finishing my walk and I'm like,
let me go get a protein shake from Publics, the
new one over on Gandy. And as I'm waiting for
my shake to be finished, I'm like feeling something in
my pants, Like what's going on?
Speaker 3 (00:26):
Like it was just a little itchy.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
So I just pulled my pants up a little bit
and I had a bee in my pants, live or.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Dead, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
I was moving.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
I first of all, I yelled because this is I.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
It was just like this.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I was like, that's.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Exactly what I did. I'm pretty sure if it's on
camera at Publics, if you're working at that public on Ganny,
please give me the footage because I love to see myself.

I don't believe this thing it was that you saw
something else?
Speaker 3 (00:51):
No, bro, I don't think that's a real thing.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I had foot pants on and I'm walking.

I've walked for about two.

Hours, and I don't know if it like I mean
when I do walk, I kind of adjust myself, but
I don't know how it would have gotten there, And like,
stay there are.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
You wearing like tight bikers are you wearing?

I wore I wore these, but they were in the
gray and I was like this.

Not shorts. But these are a little looser but real quick.

Adjust myself, you know, when you're walking, your pants kind
of like yeah, just like, let me adjust myself. So
I flew in when I was doing that because I typically.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Do do that a lot. You adjust yourself that big though, Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Because my panties, I'll get a wedgie. And I'm like,
I gotta like this, like you never get leggies when
you're walking.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Of course, yeah, I'm consistently.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
So I'm moving my pants around. I'm telling you, there
was a be in my pants.

I had to call Joell's like and dog, I'm freaking
out right now, there's a b in my pants.

I didn't know where when.

And mind you, Public's floor has like it's like grand,
I don't know the floor. You can't really see when
you drop a penny or anything you can't see because
it's like brown. So the bee the ground when you
drop something on the ground, It's like, I don't know what.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
The ground is. I guess I've never looked at the floor.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
It's the floor in publics, like I'm can I put
you on? Yeah? The tile?

But what color is it?

But I don't know what color it is? But I
couldn't find the beat, That's all I gotta say.

The bee kind of just like I don't think that
the bee exists. I think Ashley is going through that.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I had a be in my pants. Bro, I don't
know I had a be in my pants how I
told them when I walked out of the store. I
can't say it on air. We figured out why the
bee wanted to be.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
In my band like a Honeywax Jetta smart? Is that
actually the case?
Speaker 5 (02:39):

But I mean.

Has anyone even had this happen to them? Like this
seems like just a crazy in my pants scenario that
there's no way it could happen. You know, Ashley calls
me and she tells me this. I was very perplexed.
I was confused. I didn't know if this could be

a thing, and I just immediately thought, well, I gotta
I gotta ask this question tomorrow and the show, just
to see if someone has had this head.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Ants in your pants quite literally, my.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Sister, I'll never forget. We went on a road trip
California and we were in the car and I told you,
sometimes my mom would get upset because she wouldn't go
to the bathroom. She's like Magan, it goes to the bathroom,
and she would hold it. She finally goes to the bathroom.
She gets back in the car and she takes her
shoes off to get comfortable, and she had literally like
her shoe was filled.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
With black ants.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
We don't know how they got in there, but it
was just like filled with the ants.

Dah. I put my shoe on.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
This is like on a Saturday more because it was
you know, you wake up and it's Saturday, and you
get the whole weekend.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
You know, you feel like refreshed.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
And oh maybe I'm gonna go to the beach, sane,
like life is good. It's a good summer day. And
I put my vans. They are like the van slip ons.
I put it on and I feel like a thing
on my heel and like that did not feel good.
And I lifted my foot up and there was a
cockroach like splat. Threw away those shoes quick man. I

Speaker 2 (04:18):
In my pants, and of all people that happened to
I'm like, come on, I think I remained calm.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
I just feel like you're I'm gonna pull up my pants.
I gotta take I had to. I had to, Oh
my goodness. The worst part about it, Ashley, is that
it was in publics. I know, if it were happened
in the car, naked, real naked.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Hold on, we gotta get put this person through, please,
I gotta get this person on real quick.
Speaker 3 (04:47):

So I do heating and air conditioning, so a lot
of times doing SERVI for HVAC, I climb up in
people's attics, and there's been several times, even just recently.
A couple of months ago, I was doing service out
on the Islands, and so as I was crawling around
in the attic coming back down, you know, it gets

real hot up in those attics, and I wanted to
shake some of the insulation and dust off my clothes
and out of my pants. And I've had wasps, probably
four or five wasps fly out of the bottom of
my pant legs before.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Have you got.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Yeah, surprisingly enough, I didn't get stung, Like, wow.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I didn't see anything.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Why don't they sing us?
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Yeah, I didn't. I didn't make any like sudden movements,
I guess, or like jerk around. But I've I've climbed
down there, and surprisingly, I've seen several of them just
fly out at the bottom of my pant legs. And
you know, when you see that, it definitely scared the
hell out of you, Like I ran that, see me

Did you think about aj Did you think about taking
your pants off like Ashley thought about?
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Uh?

No.

Usually when I get back to the van, you know,
I try to be as professional as possible in front
of the customers, not not act like a little baby,
But as soon as I get back to the van,
I'll usually do a little unzip and check make sure
there's something else in that.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Could you imagine? How did maintenance go? Well, it's kind
of weird, honestly. Why is that he's in my attic
right now? With no pants on.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
I don't really know what.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Happened, thank you Ajes. Oh no, Jen, you were pregnant.
What happened?
Speaker 6 (06:37):
I was eight months pregnant and I had holy jeans on,
and this lizard decided I was like the best thing
to run up and into my jeans and I had
to like strip those jeans while pregnant, and like the
whole nine oh is horrible.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Oh, I to take me to the hospital.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Where were you?
Speaker 6 (06:57):
I thought I was just gonna go on my back.
I thought you.

Kidding, I'm getting Yeah.

Yeah, it was horrible.

Okay, cool. So I was learning how to drive and
my dad's in the car with me teaching me. We're
on the highway and he goes, don't move and I'm like, okay,
I want move, and he just smacks his hand down
on my shoulder and then throws his hand out the window.
I'm like, what was that. He's like, there was a
wasp on you. So I was learning how to drive.
I was like sixteen years old. The first time in
the car, a wasp landed all me because the windows

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole.
