Speaker 1 (00:00):
My opinion has completely changed. I was fully into the
whole listen streaming services. They've got it where you know
you get the show right away. I want every single
episode of the whole entire season immediately. I want it,
I need it, I got it, I watch it. Life

(00:21):
is good. I have changed my stance though it's the
Joe Show on ninety three threefl Z. We got to
get back to all shows coming out weekly. I don't
ever want to have like a bingeable show ever again.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
No, I want to.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Wait, No, I needed all I want.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
No, I'm I've completely changed my stance on that. I'm
watching the show called Peacemaker every single week. Yes, it's
so good, you would love it. I get so excited.
I get so excited for those episodes. Okay, those are
on Thursdays, So Thursdays I have that. Then on Mondays,

(01:00):
I've Killed Tony. New episode of Killed Tony every single Monday.
On Tuesdays or Wednesdays, it's only murders in the building.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, like that.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
This is like great time to watch TV for me
right now. Whereas when Wednesday came out, which also no
one ever talked about this. Wednesday came out in August.
That was ridiculous. It should be October. Yeah, right, Halloween.
So that came out in two separate like they split
up the season and that, Like, I just I watched

(01:36):
it all what was it?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Four episodes at once, and.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
I forgot about it on it's over, It's I forgot
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Well, the season's completely done though.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Oh they the other four released already.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Oh see, that's the thing. If you if they would
have released it all eight together, I would have binged it.
But because I got to wait a couple of weeks
for the extra four to come, I forgot.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I've watched that was it? Season two?

Speaker 4 (01:55):
The first four episodes at least three times had no
clue the other four were out.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Really Yep, it's been up. It's been up for a while.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Thank you for telling me that.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I think it came out like when I was sick.
Maybe I don't know. Eight hundred and four ninety three
ninety three. Is anyone else like with me on that
where you know you can agree that waiting is better.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
I think waiting is infinite patience is the best way
to go, because if you binge it all at once, Ashley,
then what are you gonna do. Then the next eight weeks,
you're just gonna be like, I wish I had something
to watch. I wish I had something to watch. And
it gives you something to look forward to, and then
that anticipation when it rolls around that oh, I know
there's gonna be a good It's gonna be a good one.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
It's gonna be a good one.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Cliffhangers, you can what's happened in the next episode? A
set every mind.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
I never brought this up to you guys, because honestly,
I had a gummy one night I thought about it.
I'm like, oh, this is genius, wrote it down. The
next morning, I woke up and go, that was a
stupid idea. I'm not gonna bring it up. I'll bring
it up right now. I did at once contemplate releasing
eight War the Roses on like one day of the month,

(03:05):
because there's eight. You get eight war the Rose eight
new roses every single month. Yeah, I thought like, okay, well,
then what if like one day during the month is
dedicated to War the Roses on the podcast, we release
them all, and then what if one day Judge Joe

(03:25):
showed there would be four? What if you know, left
on Red there's I think six hundred and seventy eight,
Like what if it released? They had his own Day
and then I like I said, I woke up the
next second. That's the dumbest good idea. Yeah, yeah, it
was a part of it that was dumb, but it
was I thought like, okay, like instant gratification, you get

(03:47):
everything at once. But now I'm to the point where
you know, maybe the war the Roses need to be
two parts. On Tuesday and Wednesday give you something to
look forward to. Then Thursday and Friday give you something
to look for.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa Woah, time out here, Joe. So
you're saying that you want to do like the first
initial part.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Like it'd be like, hey, we're going to make that
call and then boom, we make it the next day.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Oh, it's kind of like True Detective. Have you ever
seen the show True Detective on hbox or whatever it is. No,
that's that's kind of what they do in that show.
They kind of like give you it's you got to
watch season one with Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. That's

(04:31):
the best season by far. But they do a lot
of that same stuff that you're talking about, where they'll
do like, I know what you're talking about. You know
what I'm talking about, where it's the group of friends.
One guy's the actor, you got the agent. I think
you think you're doing the plot that I thought that
was true Turage. Hey, Aaron, you're with me waiting for shows.

(04:55):
It's pretty damn good.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
So I agree with you.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
Because I was watching Netflix with Wednesday.

Speaker 7 (05:02):
They released half of it, made me wait for the
other half, so I had to wait a couple of weeks,
and I died it.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Just died about it.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
I don't what I want is for Wednesday. I think
it was eight episodes, two months of shows, once a week,
release on Wednesday.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
Yeah, let's go old school. I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I love it. Only murders in the building. You're watching
that right now?

Speaker 6 (05:26):
No, not yet. It's on my list.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Go check it out. It's really good. Cliffhanger end of
every episode gets me excited for the next week. I'm
already excited for.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Next week and next week.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
The only show that I watched that I had to
suffer and wait a full week was Love Island, and
that drove me insane.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
You didn't like it.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I did not like it.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Really.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah, I need to know. I need that instag gratification
when I'm watching a show. I need the beginning to it.
I'll look forward in another show, like if I look
forward to watching another show after.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
This one, I don't know what day? What day? Would
it release on?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Wednesday's I believe, no Thursday?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
So how exciting is it? Every you would like, you know,
you finish work, you got it to watch it on?

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Like, could you imagine if they did that with like
wrestling as a kid, Joe, Like, I loved wrestling, but they.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Had Friday Night SmackDown. Could you imagine if.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
It was just Hey, we're gonna record a bunch of
episodes and it's gonna be eight in a row, right there?

Speaker 2 (06:12):
No, thank you, Craig, Yes, go ahead.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
I's going listen listen. I have to tell you guys,
there is a show, probably the greatest show ever written,
ever televised, Wars A No one piece. You've got to
give it a chance, Yes, you have to give it
a chance.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
But fifteen seasons, Craig.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
They're doing this in Indonesia and in the Philippines. They're
flying to Jolly Roger from the show because it's such
a good show. It puts everything into perspective, for politics,
for government, for religion. There's over a thousand episodes. You
shouldn't miss it. You should be out a thousands, over
a thousand episodes, over a thousands, going on for twenty

(07:00):
five years.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Yeah, I'm looking at it right now. It says it
has over one and forty episodes. I saw the movies.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Comedy.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Is it like an action?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
What is I think it's acting.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
It's everything, it's everything. It's action, it's comedy. They'll make
you cry. It is the perfect So ii Oda is
the man who wrote it, and he did such a
good job on this. You can quote me on.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
That, Craig, Yes, sir, I'll watch one episode of One Piece.
If you watch one episode of Star Wars the Clone
Wars thoughts on that trade.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
Oh, I've seen all of them. I've seen all of them.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Well, then perfect. I will give it a try. I
should do it. I should do it.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
I've got my kids watch. I've got my kids watching
Clone Wars now because I've seen all of it already,
and so now they're going through it. It's like a
lesson and what is.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Good and one of the saddest.

Speaker 6 (07:49):
And I guess you guys will watch this all together.
If you watch it all together and you talk about
it on the air, you will get so many people
calling into this because it is such a big show.
Twenty five years he's been writing this show and it's
been airing for almost that long too.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I'm gonna take it out.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
What's streaming service?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Do? Hold on?

Speaker 1 (08:08):
We're this is turning the one piece ad Crag. We
got Google, Google, We'll look it up.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Crag.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Thank you, thank you so much. You got it, hey,
But before you leave, where can I stream it? Shei lely, Yes,
last one? You're with Ashley. You need it all at
once because social media is gonna ruin it. But what
is it ruining?

Speaker 6 (08:30):
People?

Speaker 7 (08:30):
Just like new shows come out and they watch it
all at once and they just can't help but go
on social media and blast all the good parts, all
the like everything. So would you like it?

Speaker 6 (08:41):
Would?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Why would you like it all at once? Then?

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Because that's how they're gonna spoil everything. Like you know,
everyone on social media right now is talking about today
what the hell is gonna happen with Peacemaker? Right?

Speaker 7 (08:52):
And I feel like if I don't watch it all
at once, then I'm gonna go on social media one
day and they're gonna ruin it for me, and they
ain't just speak with myself.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
So you've just been to you don't get on so
smedia and then.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
You watch it.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Watch it once a week, there's no spoilers and you
don't have to dedicate a thousand hours.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Alright, Fine, Sheeley, thank you so much, You too, are
probably right

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
