Speaker 1 (00:00):
Did you open up a credit card for your hobby
or obsession? If you have, and maybe it's specifically for this,
but even if it's not, you'd definitely be able to
relate to Taylor Swift fans right now. This is something
that I was reading that I thought was crazy, but
I totally get it.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
We live on ninety three three FLZ and.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
The question was how much would it cost for Taylor
Swift fans to buy all of her Life of a
Showgirl merch? Any guesses because she can't. She came out
with a ton of stuff. And mind you, this isn't
a knock at Taylor Swift by any means, because she
came out with it like, this is all reasonably priced things.
She just came out with a lot. So how much
(00:41):
would it be, though, if you bought everything?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
If I bought everything, I'm gonna say around seven hundred
and ninety dollars.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
And ninety bucks. Oh, I'm going like five thousand.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Eighteen hundred dollars, around eighteen hundred.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Dollars exactly, by the way, I was gonna say two
gez one nine dollars in eighty five cents.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
That's the total price of every albums merch all those
type of.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
I saw, like a hair brush and things like that.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
So they were talking about how people are opening up
credit cards just to get her stock. Wow. And the
thing is is that that doesn't surprise me in anyway.
I relate to that, not in the sense of opening
up a credit card. My Papa was always very very
strict on that with me. He would like, when I
(01:33):
first got my first credit card, my mom had be
call her dad my papa we'm named after, and he
gave me like a talk like none other. But he'd
think the credit cards are the devil basically. So I
never opened up a credit card per se, but I
would put money, too much money than what I actually
have in my bank account on my credit card. Four
(01:54):
and then talk about Star Wars for Lightsabers at Disney.
Disney comes out with these legacies Lightsabers and they're different
characters and different you know, Jedi and whatnot. And I
finally got over it, I think because I got all
the ones that I wanted. But it was in every
single trip I knew that I was going to It's like,
(02:14):
you know, you budget, but they're expensive. I was putting
more than what I had just for that. When I
was in college, it was Travis Scott way too much.
Travis Scott did what now every artist does, but he
was like the og of like merch for album.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
And all of that, shoes, clothes, heads, all of that. Boys. Yeah,
which is next?
Speaker 1 (02:34):
This last one was like nine hundred bucks, So I
didn't buy that. But are there certain things that you're
willing to maybe put a little bit too much on
it just to get it or something where it's like
I don't necessarily have the funds right now, but I'll
get him at some point, so I'm gonna get it
right now. Eight hundred and four oh nine ninety three,
ninety three text in it ninety seven seven two zero.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
I'm trying to think, is there something that I would
I mean, for concerts for sure, like buying tickets to
a Beyonce concert is they're a bit really expensive, So
knowing that I have to wait out for this tour,
I would save up for it and you know, try
to spend more than I have.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
And same thing.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Concerts are opening up a credit cards. Some people have
opened up credit cards just to go to concerts.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
They're spencers like once again, people are literally opening up
credit cards right now just to get all of the
life of a Showgirl merche The album is cool.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I like it, and I've seen a lot of the
merch that she put out, and the merchant is really good.
She knows what she's doing.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Who's this?
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Hey, this is Tony Tony.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
You believe it? You are going into debt for Taylor
Swift in I phones.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
You know.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
The thing is is, I'm not a Taylor Swift fan,
but you know I do spend a share amount of
money on Michael Myer's merchandise.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Really, I like, yeah, so what are the kind of
things that you're buying?
Speaker 4 (04:00):
The masks getting them overhauled by professionals. That comes out
to probably five six hundred dollars per mask. I've got
about nine of them, just figurines that can be a
few hundred each. Shirts. I mean, I probably think I've
got shy of six thousand dollars sort of stuff.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Talk to me about the masks, because I will get
helmets I've got and those are, oh my god, I've
never gotten these. One day I'm going to has you
got to succeed in life? I want to get like
actual movie quality Mandalorian helmet runs.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
About one thousand bucks.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
So what makes the mic Because Michael Myers's mask lay
tex hair, what makes it so expensive?
Speaker 2 (04:43):
What do they do to it?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Well, you know you can get these masks at online
or Spirit Halloween, but the big cost is when you
send it out to professionals, and you know they charge
anywhere from four to six hundred dollars just to overhaul
the hair, to make up the texture, just make it
film like. And you know you start off with a
hundred dollar the mask, it comes up to eight hundred
dollars times how many that you're willing to buy, So
you know, I've got i got probably an unnecessary amount,
(05:08):
but hey, it's my obby.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
What is Michael Meyer's best mask?
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Because it changes for movies in a way, in a way,
in a way, the way it's worn and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Which one is the best one?
Speaker 4 (05:19):
I think, hands down, it's got to be the original
Halloween first, but my fan favorite one is the twenty
eighteen Halloween.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Do are you always him for Halloween?
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I am I've got to be as you should be.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
That's got Yeah, you definitely got to get your money's
where appreciate.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
I'm a Star Star Wars fan, definitely don't have a
lot of merch on that, but I I know.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
What I do.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
You know what I do Tony two to justify it,
because my fiance would be like, hey, do you really
need another one? And I go, it's for halloweend. Be like,
that's funny. It's December, right, yeah, Tony love being able
to talk to you and let's nerd out.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
We got to talk more. Jim.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
It's it's golf clubs for you. You're going to over
indulge in way too much golf stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I know, I know it to happen. What is how expensive?
Speaker 1 (06:09):
If you don't mind, I want to get into your
finances right now.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
How much? How much is your set of clubs?
Speaker 6 (06:15):
All my club's got ruined in the hurricane, so I
had to get a brand new set, complete.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Set of Eyres drivers.
Speaker 6 (06:22):
Was all the about, oh.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
My, they're that expensive. I thought they were like thirty
bucks a pop.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
No what, No, absolutely not, by the way, that fifty
that's the clubs that he got. You got to get
a bag, you gotta get towels, you got to get
the balls, obviously, you got to get to t's and
all of that. There's so much that it's the most
expensive hobby ever. I too, I too after the hurricane,
got new golf clubs.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Then you just got no, I just got new ones.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
That's yes. I just thought, why not go get a
new set? My Lena? Hello?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I uh I?
Speaker 6 (07:03):
When I was unemployed, still I had a job lined up,
so that makes it a little better. I bought like
a six hundred dollars audio interface.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Now what are you listening to it besides us? Or
what are you listening to?
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Well, I'm not listening to I'm recording on it.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Oh it's an all that shows you.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
By the way I talk into a microphone, I know
nothing about the technology we use. What is an audio interface?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Then I just.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Talked, and an audio interface is that that you probably
have one similar in the studio. It connects all the
microphones to have the XLR. It connects all the microphones
and then you can, you know, like change the audio
for each one, like how loud it is?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Maybe a little bit of.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
This.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Are you talking about this movie?
Speaker 6 (07:58):
Yeah? So like the stuff you can put on him? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Oh yeah. Fun fact. When we signed our contracts here,
I asked if we could get one of these, and
they said yes. Actually, an older show had this and
we'll just take it out of the trash can. They
were going to throw this thing away, my Lena. They
wanted to throw it away because now I'm going to
do the rest of the show with this Guy's got
(08:25):
an addiction to be an annoying, my Lena. I'll talk
to you later. You want to get on.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
It, you want to do it. This is so cool,
Oh my gosh.
