Speaker 1 (00:00):
I was on the phone with one of my close
buddies yesterday and while we were talking, he hit me
with a oh, by the way, say hi to my
girlfriend about ten minutes into our phone conversation, to which
(00:22):
I responded, really, you couldn't have told me that At
the very beginning of the call. He was like, ah, dude,
we started talking. I didn't really have much to tell you, Like,
what do you want me to do? Stop our conversation
and say, hey, she's in the car. It was like, yeah,
the conversation we were having wasn't really supposed to be
for anyone but your ears eight hundred and four oh
(00:44):
D ninety three ninety three, anyone else like that. There
are specific people in my life. Matter of fact, there
is someone that we do work with where I don't
trust being on the phone with them because I know
when I'm on the phone with them, there are like
four other people in the room. Oh yeah, so this
particular person, I don't get on the phone with them
(01:06):
anymore because one time I was on the phone with
them and they were asking me kind of revealing questions,
and I, you know, to this singular person, I would
give them information. But then as I'm telling them I
hear yeah, yeah, and I'm going, oh, hell no, I'm
on speaker.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Right, come on for your ears only, right.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Hey, real quick, who's this Matthew, Matthew, Matthew, hold on
one sec. We got to get him off the speaker
and all that. So what do you do do you
tell people if they're on speaker?
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Do you hate one hundred percent? Like I will never forget.
If I'm driving in the car with somebody, I'll be
like hey, They'll like, hey, what are you doing. I'm like, Oh,
I'm in the car with so and so ahead of here. Yeah,
I just, you know, suddenly say that. I don't go
up and say like, hey, I'm just letting you know
I'm in the car with my mom, or I'm with
my sister, or I'm with a different friend, because you
do have certain things that you only tell one person.
(02:03):
You don't want the whole peanut gallery to know what's
going on life.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
No, And I love taking calls when I'm in the car,
And a lot of the time when i'm in the car,
my girlfriend's in the car with me, so we'll be
talking and then the phone rings and then I pick
it up and I'll be sure to Literally, the first
thing I say is, hey, Alyssa's in the car.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yes, and it's not an issue, but some people would
take issue to that.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
No, Hey, Matthew, Matthew, all right, so we got you
back on. You'll be talking on the phone with who,
and they're notorious for not telling you you're on speakerphone.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
So I'll be on the phone with my girlfriend. She'll
be at work, and I'll be telling her, you know,
what's what's going on, or Hey, I'm gonna go do this,
or I'm gonna go do that, something that shouldn't be
heard by other people. And then she'll be like, oh, hey,
I'm at I'm at the register, and you're on speakerphone.
I sus heard everybody else has heard to say that.
I'm just like, well, hey, you probably should have told
me that first, like, hey, the phone be like, hey,
(03:01):
I'm at the register.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
How about this.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I'll never forget. My girlfriend is at a bachelorette party
in the Keys and I had texted her. What I
didn't realize is one of her friends had her phone,
so I was I was you know, I missed her,
and I was sending I was sending some things that
you know, I only want her to see. And let's
(03:25):
just say that one of her friends got to know
me a little bit better than what I kind of
would hope for anyone. So Matthew, at least you didn't
do that. Okay, all right, turn that, turn that camera
phone off. That's what I have to say. Jed, do
you have anyone like this? Like does your mom? Does
your dad? Does anyone do this to you?
Speaker 5 (03:44):
I'm usually like that to my parents. So I'll be
on the phone with Joe, or I'll be on the
phone with Ashle and I'll be walking in the house
on speaker phone and then and then. But I feel
like I do give you kind of you.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
And the thing is is that I've known your parents
since I was in high school. So I do feel
like they give me a little bit of leeway when
I say something that's completely ridiculous because they've just known me.
But there are some things that I've said where your
dad can hear. But I don't want your beautiful mother.
I don't want Mom and Nancy to hear something.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Come on, I know, well it really is.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
It's out of respect. It's out of respect.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
My mom is one of the dirtiest minds.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I understands out of respect.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I want to dirty dirty.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I want to hear her be dirty, but I don't
want her to hear me be vile. There's a difference
between dirty and vile. And I sometimes when I talk,
I got to pray immediately after twenty twenty? Do you
have anyone who does this?
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Yes, sir, it's Tony and I gosh, sorry, I'm sorry.
That's okay. So I work in the AC business and
one of my technicians always puts me on speakerphone in
front of customers.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
And when that happened, does he say anything or are
you just like letting it rip?
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Whoa. No.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
He doesn't say anything until like the spiel's done, and
then he's like, okay, well the customer heard you. And
I was like, oh, okay, right, that's cool, and I
just hang up.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I've got to the point where my mom just like,
who are you with? Are you by yourself? Because she
will never like just go and say, hey, I'm in
the car with your your aunt, your dad. I'm just
at the store at Target, at the checkout line.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Well, actually, now that I think about it, my grandma
will literally I'll be talking to her and she'll be like, Hey,
this is Robert do I just met at the grocery store.
