Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know what it is.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
I don't want to hurt my feet. That's why I'm
afraid to take my shoes off. But I wish I
could be one of those like shoes off type of person.
Are you that type of person where you'll go out
and you got no shoes on in public places? Eight
hundred four nine ninety three ninety three. You could text
it at ninety seven seven two zero or live on
the Joe Show with Live on ninety three three f

(00:21):
l Z.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
And don't like going to shaming people.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
No, I'm not. You know what you want to go out,
I'm not going to shame anybody. But I just I
could never see myself running around doing barefoot stuff. So
last night I was at a concert at the Sound
and there's they have a turf area that's underneath the
pavilion and then they have grass which is like another
area behind which is where like the lawn seating. Right,

(00:44):
I think it's like a little different with the grass
than it is on the turf. So people are dancing
on the turf, I'm like, oh my god. They spill
beer there and like drinks, and sometimes people are asking
out their cigarettes and I'm like, I just can't get
behind the barefoot thing, and why do you work out
in your bare feet? Well, it's a little bit different

(01:05):
because everybody everybody just sweating on the ground and spitting
on the ground. I think it's a little well no,
because I don't I don't see a lot of people
spitting on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
On accident when they're like going like trying to breathe.
I mean that to me is a little bit different
than like cigarettes.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
And I don't know, I.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Just think it.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
And you got to think about it, like the gym
is much smaller condensed size, whereas yeah, so there's more
because you got to think about it from this perspective, Joe.
If I have an outdoor amphitheater of like ten thousand
people coming in at once, think about how many different
people are doing that. Where it's like the gym, there's

(01:44):
maybe like fifteen twenty people out doing their stuff. I
don't know, I just see it differently. Maybe I'm wrong,
Maybe I'm wrong eight hundred and four on NA ninety three,
ninety three. If that is you, if you are that
person who is taking off their shoes and I can't

(02:07):
and walking around and you know, I want to hear
about two, like, are you washing your feet often? Do
you have like a little bit of discoloration on your feet?
Are you doing it because people say that you should
ground your Yeah about grinding, which I.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Mean, listen, fill me in because I'm always open to
trying new things.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Be one with the earth. Yeah, maybe this is something
that I could get down with.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
I don't know, as a girl in my complex who
walks her dog without shoes on, and I think it's
the most disgusting thing ever because there's, like I said,
dogs in the neighborhood, so they're going in the grass.
Some of them are just going on the concrete, and
you just don't know what you're getting on the bottom
of your feet, and you're tracking it into your home.
Really definitely seeing people in my neighborhood walk the dogs barefoot.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Hey, are you walking around with your shoes off?

Speaker 7 (02:54):
Buddy?

Speaker 8 (02:55):
If I can live my entire life with my shoes off,
I'm I'm pro bare feet, man. I love nothing more
than being barefoot.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Kidding, why is that?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
I just I don't know, it's just it's so much,
it's so comfortable. Like even when I was a kid, like.

Speaker 8 (03:14):
I my parents can never keep shoes on me, and
it's like, I'm a I'm a full time construction worker,
have been for twenty years.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Luckily my company is like super chill. So it's like
it's Friday. I'm on my way to work right now,
and I'm in crocs and socks and I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna go remodel a guy's house right now, and
I'm gonna do it and cross. It's like I love
so much. I mean, oh yeah, like I mean, the
toes are all busted up. But that's that's you know,

(03:44):
that's that's my own progative. But that's my own problem. Yeah,
like I am, I am pro bare feet in stop.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Like, my name's Chris, Chris Barefoot. Yeah, Chris. There just
line is that Chris. We'll talk to you later. I
got to try this out, man, I want to get
on this.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
So our phone line saves names, by the way, and
it saves kind of what they called in and talked about.
And do you mind if I say whose sister or
you know, who's your brother?

Speaker 9 (04:20):
Oh that's fine, everybody knows he's a weirdo.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Really yeah, miss if you if you.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Know Rob Thomas from Matchbox twenty Missy is his sister.
What do you mean he's a weirdo in a funny
way or you.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Don't like him?

Speaker 9 (04:37):
Oh yeah, no, he was like a nerdy little boy
and we'd like.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
He's not.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
He's one of the most prolific rock stars. Come on, now,
do you go bear? Oh so he was the one
who would be barefoot.

Speaker 9 (04:53):
He we are a barefoot family, but he used to
be when he was in that first band back in
the day. He was always barefoot on stage. And then
when they got Michael Littman as their manager, Michael's like,
absolutely not. We are not having people fight to the
front of the stage to see your nasty bare feet.

(05:16):
He will put shoes on, and you will wear shoes
on stage.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Do you still go shoeless?

Speaker 9 (05:25):
I would rather be, but not in a public place
like around our house or so. But we're Florida, so
flip flops are almost barefoot.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Thank you for calling in and being part of the show.
And you know, tell him that.

Speaker 9 (05:40):
He was barefoot on stage. Oh yeah, he's so.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
We'll have a great day justin.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
You go barefoot all the time?

Speaker 7 (05:54):
Yeah, Mike, being an Aussie, we went bought up fift
all the time. We doesn't matter where I go.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Always, no kidding.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
We've got Australian Justin on the line from down right.

Speaker 7 (06:08):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
When did you move to America?

Speaker 7 (06:11):
Might have been here for about ten twelve years or so.
I used to be a tool professional vault, so played
a lot of different tournaments around well for about fourteen
years and different tours.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
And now I'm a coach, no kidding, all right, this
is kind of sick.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I love this so much. And now that you're you know,
doing this, you're in America. Do you feel like America
or Australia? Who's got cleaner flowers?

Speaker 8 (06:34):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (06:35):
Yeah, Australia.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Really everywhere we go, love it. I would love to
go to Australia one day in that flight, like a day.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
Yeah from here? Yeah, that's twenty four hours daughter North Australia.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Oh we got it. Hey, you gotta take me. We
won't walk though obviously we can't. We'll swim. And no
bare feet on the plane. Just oh yeah, do you
go barefoot on the plane.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
No, that's why it's one place I absolutely don't know
that it wouldn't apply.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
I'm man correct answer, Justin. We'll talk to you later.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
