Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today on Judge Josho, Heather's raising a stink over Scotty's
backyard bee hives, claiming they're danger to her be allergic daughter.
But Scotty says his yard, his rules. It's a neighborly
feud that's about to sting all rise for Judge Joshow
on ninety three to three f LZ.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Heather, Yeah, Heather, are you at home right now? Work?
Where are you?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I'm at home?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Can you see the b how houses or what?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
What are they called?

Speaker 5 (00:42):
Beeves?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Bee hives? Scotty? What are they? Are they called bee houses?

Speaker 5 (00:47):
They're b bloxed?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Heather? Can you see those?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I can see them if I look out my window.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yes, Scottie. Have you always had the bee hives boxes?

Speaker 4 (01:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:03):
Yeah, I've been here about seven years and I've When
I moved, I moved with the bees.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Which isn't easy. But you yeah, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
So Heather, what exactly are you looking for? Are you
looking for him to completely get rid of his bees?
Would you be okay if he moved him in his home?
What are you looking to get? Do you want him
out of your neighborhood? Altogether?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I need this man to get rid of his bee
boxes or whatever they are called. They are a danger
to my daughter, who is definitely allergic to bees this
man has. He does not follow any kind of compliance
or anything. I've never seen someone, you know, go and

(01:48):
make sure that they are safe. I don't see this
man do any kind of you know, he doesn't do
anything to maintain it so that they're not in my yard.
My nine year old daughter is unsafe to play in
our very own backyard. Okay, so I really need this
man to stop being so disrespectful and take those bees

(02:10):
and put them somewhere else, Okay, that is not encroaching
on my property and endangering my daughter's life.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Scotty, do you take your bees out for walks often?

Speaker 5 (02:22):
No?

Speaker 6 (02:22):
No, honestly, they stay mostly in the boxes.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
They are honeybees, so they do have.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
To collect nectar to go, but they don't come out.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
These boxes are the best.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
I mean, they're like my children. I mean, I've taken
care of them for ten years, this hive, specifically through
multiple queens, and yeah, now they do not roam free
and they hardly leave only when they want to call it.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
If they do roam, they do roam okay, And I'm
not the only neighbor to have complained about this. I'm
just the only one that is willing to take legal
action against you for these bees and how they are.
It's basically like an infestation in our neighborhood because of
your bee boxes.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Eight ninety three, ninety three. It's time for the jury.
Now we'll start off with Christian. But eight hundred four
own nine ninety three ninety three. What do we think.
Does Scotty gotta get rid of the bees? Or does
Heather need to worry about other things?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Christian? What's up?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Good morning? This is kind of comical. Heather needs to relax.
She sounds like Karen from the get go. If you
guys don't live in an hoa and there's no rule
that says that he can't have bee boxes, then there's
nothing you can do about it. That's like going outside
and saying, oh, I'm going to need you to remove

(03:47):
all the lizards in your yard because my daughter's allergic
to the lizards. Like it's just not I mean, its nature,
it's not gonna I mean, it's a okay, yeah, it's
a crappy situation. If she's allergic to them, then you
just have to be extra cautious when you're outside by
taking legal action for a wildlife It just sounds absurd.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Hey, Brianna, what do you think? And thank you Christian?

Speaker 7 (04:10):
These are usually harmless as long as you're not going
after them or threatening their homes.

Speaker 8 (04:15):
Their daughters should be okay.

Speaker 9 (04:17):
And can even help the bees by putting out like
sugar water or.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
Something like that.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
A bee's expert, I have so many people would be
boxes for I haven't done directly with them except for
I harvested honey once.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
I honestly, I was being kind of an a hole there.
I didn't realize that we actually do have an expert
on the stand.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
So wow, look that go. Thank you, Brianna.

Speaker 8 (04:48):
Dan, Hey, how are you?

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Good morning?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Good morning, good morning, So listen real quick to reset
it for everyone else. Dan Heather wants Scottie, her neighbor,
to get rid of his bees. Her daughter is deathly
allergic things that it's irresponsible for Scotty to even have
these be boxes.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
What do you think, Dan, Well, Heather, how.

Speaker 8 (05:11):
Long have you lived in the neighborhood?

Speaker 5 (05:14):
About three years?

Speaker 8 (05:16):
About three years? So for me, you come in four
years later and want him to make changes, which he's
been there for seven years now. That's kind of like
acceptable for me. That's just really my input on it
because I think the beekeeper should be able.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
To keep his bees.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Thank you, Dan.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
That's how adjuror does it. That's the best. Honestly, the
way you just did that, that's how everyone. I'm not
saying the decision. Okay, it gave your opinion, you were
quick with it. I like it. Let's move to the
next one.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Maria. You took a b training class.

Speaker 8 (05:53):
Go ahead, wait, yeah, yeah, it's pretty cool.

Speaker 9 (06:00):
They showed how you would smoke the bees out, and
what they would do to protect the queen, and how
they would remove them from properties.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
That would get infested.

Speaker 9 (06:09):
So it's actually very interesting. It's for part of my job.
And if you we need honey bees. Basically, we need
honey bees for fruit, for fruits and vegetables, and for food.
So I understand why she's concerned about her kiddo being allergic,
but if she wants food for her kiddo, we need
the honey bees.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Thank you, Maria. Thank you, Maria.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Last one, it's always tough because I don't want to
give my opinion that anything. We we do need to
come up with a decision. You guys are allowed to
give your opinion though, okay if you want to. I mean,
so as someone who has an uncle who is obsessed
with bees. My uncle, how what I know? So my

(06:53):
uncle lives up in the villages and he has bees
in his backyard. He has a bee box, so he
every single I think it's like six months or something
like that, he gives us fresh honey. And he gave
me this whole entire diet tribe probably about two or
three years ago when he really started getting into it.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
That sounds like a fun comery.

Speaker 10 (07:09):
No, no, it's fascinating because the previous caller was right.
You have to have bees in order to pollinate, in
cross pollinate, and in order to basically our vegetation to survive. However,
I do see where the plaintiff is coming from from
the standpoint of you have a daughter nine ten years old, right,
so they're out in plain around. You don't want your
daughter to be stung, and then you got to put

(07:31):
an EpiPen in them or take him to the hospital.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
And speaking of real quick, ac you are a mom.
So when you hear Heather talk about her daughter and
she's allergic to these bees. She wants Scotty to just
get rid of his bees. What do you think?

Speaker 11 (07:46):
Look, I just recently, a couple of months ago, had
to go with my daughter to the er. She had
an Eppie Penn was terrifying. So I totally feel for Heather,
and I also really honor the fact that the whole environment,
the whole world, we need bees. But also, you know
those bees have been with him for ten years.

Speaker 9 (08:07):
That's like, that's what that is.

Speaker 11 (08:09):
A child, he said, those are my babies.

Speaker 8 (08:12):
I just am wondering if.

Speaker 9 (08:13):
There is a way where, like both parties can feel
like their children.

Speaker 11 (08:17):
Are being safeguarded and taken care of. Like, is there
a way on the property to like have not flowers
in Heather's backyard and that bee boxes get relocated to
a farther corner of I mean, I just feel like
this has to be there has to be a middle
ground where both parties are feeling really well respected.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yep, all right, Ac, thank you, Heather, Scottie. I've cam Yeah,
I've come to my decision this one.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
What I don't know what your decision is, because it's
gonna be tough. Clearly, people are very opinion about bees.
I know a lot of good Yeah, I had no.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Clue, and that is my decision. There are too many lovers.
I feel uncomfortable. No, I'm just kidding. Listen, Unfortunately unfortunate, though,
give me.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Your opinion, my opinion on bees. Bees in a trap.
Get all that time Ashley came up with that shout
out to Nicki Minaj. I'm gonna add this out of
the replay. I'm just kidding.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Heather and Scotty, listen. At the end of the day, Scotty,
you've been there first, so it's yours to yours. Heather,
So sorry three years though. It's a kind of Trump
by seven. Heather, keep your daughter safe and Scotty watch
your bees. Quit taking him on walks and whatnot.
