Speaker 1 (00:00):
I thought this was kind of interesting. Is there anyone
you're not excited to see this holiday season? Eight hundred
and four on the ninety three ninety three I am so, so, so,
so so excited for this Christmas. My brother Jacob's coming in.
And my brother Jacob lives in Chicago, Illinois, and I
(00:22):
have not seen him very much over the past six years,
six or seven years, six seven, I have not seen
him because he's been getting his doctorate. He's a he's
a psychologist now and he finally got it. So he's
finally gonna actually take some time off and go visit
(00:43):
and hang out with me and my mom and my
dad and my other brother Luke. It's going to be
the five of us together, and plus my fiance, so
the six of us together, and maybe if Jed wants
to come, he could be the seven to seven. I'm
excited to see all of them now. I was reading
last night this survey, so two thousand young adults this
(01:05):
is gen Zers, were asked, are you excited to see
your family this holiday season? Fifty eight percent said no.
Fifty eight percent of the two thousand young adults that
were surveyed said no. Now, why do you think they
said no, Jed, I would.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Assume number one would be difference of political vision. That's
what I would That's what I would guess. It's usually
politics or religion that's a big turn off. What else, Uh,
it could be just I don't know, smell. I mean,
I have no idea. You're the one with the study.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Fifty eight percent of gen zers have a lied to
their family about their job or career success, and now
they got to go home and look at them in
the face and either continue to lie about it or
be like, Hey, by the way, I got fired a
couple months ago.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Okay, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Hey, by the way, I'm not a manager. I'm actually
not even employed. Eight hundred and four own nine ninety
three ninety three. What side are you on? Like, I
am very, very, very excited. This is gonna be like
the best week of my life. I cannot wait to
get my brother to I'm gonna show him my new place.
(02:27):
We'll play catch. He didn't play catch. I don't play
catch fortnight though. He didn't like four.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
No, Okay, you guys gonna do together.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
I don't know, we're gonna stare into each other's eyes.
Were if we were just sitting in the same room.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
It's quality time together, exactly.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I can't wait. Are you excited to see everyone? No?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I am not. Can I be one hundred percent honest
with you, Joe, because your whole family is no lie
and I love your family so much, but I'm not
looking forward to seeing your brother Luke. And let me
tell you why, because every time I hang out with him, Joe,
he just picks on me the whole entire time. And
he's younger than me, and he's in a fraternity, so
he he just has like roast at the top of
(03:09):
his dome for days. He can just keep going and
just and and just say one hit, go, go go, go,
go hit him. I don't know. I'm not gonna physically
punch physically, not gonna harm your brother. Everyone's that's true,
but I have no But I've grown up with your brother,
I've known him. I'm not gonna do that. My point
(03:30):
with that is there's there's a couple of people that
I'm not looking forward to seeing this holiday season. And
it's usually the people Joe that they come in a
day or two before Christmas and they're like, oh, I
believe in Christmas day It's not so much that it's planned.
It's the last minute people that pop up out of
nowhere and expect you to to just drop all your
plans and just, hey, let's hang out. I'm not that
(03:51):
kind of person. I'm the kind of person we're like,
week of you let me know, Oh, hey, by the way,
this Thursday or this Friday, we're gonna do something. I'm
not the twenty four hour rule type of person. And
I know you're in the same way, Joe. You don't
like it when people spring up last minute plans on you,
unless it's a couple of things. There's exceptions to the rule.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
I e.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Disney would be an exception, Universal be an exception, golf
for beach day would be an exception. But everything other
than that, if they're like twelve hours before, hey, let's
go get dinner tonight, I'm not taking that invitation, especially
the vivids from a family member that I do now
want to be around.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Well, you have an invitation to hang out with my
idea'll be around the loop. You have an invitation to
be around my family the whole entire time. Analysti's family too.
They're Italian, so they make good food. Yes, all right, yo, yeah,
I'm not creepy. I'm Italian.
