Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joe Show ninety three three FLZ Happy Friday. By the way,
it's a good Friday. I'm excited for Christmas, excited to
hang out with family. Speaking of family, I have a
family in here right now, Jamie wait. I call her
jam from Juvenile Welfare Board of Panellas County. They've got
a major announcement. How I know her? By the way,

(00:22):
is Alyssa my beautiful fiance. You grew up with her.
When you texted me, I thought you were wanting to
go to bar or something, and then you said can
I come in, which made me even more excited because
we'll just bring drinks in here. But you wanted to
come in because the Juvenile Welfare Board of Panellas County
has a pretty good announcement, right yes, So yeah, what's

(00:44):
going on.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I'm so excited to be here. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Like the Joe Show and JWB joining forces for this announcement.
So JWB has invested in something called parent Protech, and
we are gifting every parent, caregiver grandparent a free annual
subscription to parent Protech. And you can go online right
now and type in app app dot parentprotech dot com

(01:13):
forward slash JWB to sign up.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Can we post that so that people can get that.
So with that and you say, whatever the heck you want,
jam gave me a bunch of stuff. And the entire
time I was laughing with Melissa because I'm like, I
don't even know how to read, but this is super
important because you were telling me, like, kids are basically
they're getting screen time, they're going on, they're gaming, they're

(01:38):
they're doing all the things that kids do. But it's
kind of like.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It's kind of like an open door. If you're leaving
your windows open, your doors open all night, you don't
want intruders to I mean, you're allowing intruders to to
come in whenever. So right now, online it's not safe.
Right So Parent Protech this is for everyone and Panel's
county to get free online subscription. There's so many children

(02:05):
who are getting technology for Christmas, and this is for
the parents to equip themselves to know how to protect
their children and also like how to level up the game,
how to know more than the children on technology.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Of course, you're a mom, does it kind of freaky out?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
It does?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
It does.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
But I'm so happy there's a resource. There's a lot
of children who have become statistics and parents are asking
what do we do?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And this is it?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
This is the resource parent pro tech And by the way,
it's grandma tested, So all of the contents that they
put out, their co founder, their nine year old grandma
tests all the content before out. Yeah, so it's super easy,
it's super digestible.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
And by the way, it's perv tested too. We try
to get into getting in because I don't know what
to do. We've got Jamie and I call her jam
She's one of Alyssa's best friends, my fiance with the
Juvenile Welfare Board of Panilas County. They're offering a free
annual subscription. This is important. Listen, at the end of

(03:11):
the day, we've got kids who are I mean, they're
doing everything right, like they're going on there. How since
you're a mom, I'm not a mom.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Dad one day, I hope.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And what age does a kid get like an iPad?
Does oone have one? You've got an almost three year old.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
He borrows ours for ABC mouse from the library and
every now and then he watches you know, YouTube or something.
But it is scary to see what he could just
click on anything. So guess how much screen time on
average a five year old. If someone as young as
five has a day.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Ooh, I'm gonna guess probably seven hours of screen time total.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Wow, a five year old five years? A five year
old has seven hours? With what the most neglectful parent
of all time? Dude?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
I mean with how many parents get I mean think
about it, Joe, how many people their parents? When you
go to dinner or you're in the car, right they
give They always give the iPad. So it's like, think
about it. If it's a round trip, it's forty minutes.
Then you get at the dinner for another hour and
a half. That's almost three right there, am I am?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
I way off?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Jamie, you are? You are off? It's actually eight to
eleven hours.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
What whoay? Parents anymore?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
They need to protect themselves.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I mean technology is not going anywhere, so we just
need them to raise safe, digital smart children. But yeah,
they're eight to eleven hours to eleven hours, and for
every three hours it increases their risk of depression and anxiety.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I believe that because like all the serotonin, it's like
a dopamine rush. Frame man, and then just go. It
depletes your whole entire brain.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, so parent Protech we're here for you. Jwb's here
for you.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
We invested for you. You can learn about some conversation
starters on there. If you don't know how to talk
to your children, you have to learn how to have
these conversations. See who they're talking to, what they're doing.
You can actually request one on one help if you
want to set your privacy settings on your router and
your home, like to be safe blocking all these cyber threads,

(05:26):
human trafficking, cyberbuoling, you can call it. They'll do a
zoom call with you that's crazy and guide you through it.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Jwbpenilis dot org. It's a website. You can learn everything there.
And then what was the other website that you gave out?
App dot parent pro tech so app so app app
dot parent pro Tech. I'm not going to read that
out to you. Figure it out dot com slash j WB.

(05:55):
It's a free annual subscription to Parents Parent pro Tech.
I mean this is important, it really is. Yeah, thank
you for coming in.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
You're welcome. I'm so happy to be here. Thank you
for having us.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
How much fun was the cruise? Evan wearing the cruise shirt.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, he had to.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
I've got a meeting with Margueriteville after the show today,
and I believe we have a date picked out the
second and oh yeah, the second inaugural.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
We're going.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Oh, I know you are karaoke I always we must jam.
Was at the karaoke UH day Kylie's birthday a couple
of days ago. I posted it all on Instagram and
then we talked about how Nickelback is the great will
you say all right now? And Evan wasn't there. Evan's
got to be there next time.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
He was watching the kids on the screen. Time.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Be honest, who had the second best performance? Because I
had the best. It was very apparent everyone. I brought
the place to tell Jet when I performed, he was
number one. You were probably number too.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
It was me, hands down.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
It like though when I was performing when.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
You were performing, Well, I missed the first half because
I was in the bathroom and when I walked in,
it landed the room.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I mean it was you and no one else.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Crowd work, crowd work, big crowd work.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Guy.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
That's the trick with UH karaoke. You got talked to
the crowd. No one does that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
In between in between the verses where they have like
a little instrumental.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
You gott yeah, and you know Owen's in here. Owen's
almost three. I can't wait to celebrate his birthday, three
years old. I'll never forget meeting him for the first
time and thinking, oh my god, I have a friend
finally and uh oh, and I'm gonna teach you how
to do karaoke? Can we do that? Yeah, he's giving

(07:43):
me a thumbs up. He doesn't care.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
He was playing with his cars and trucks.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Carpool karaoke carpool. That's really good, Jim. Thank you for
being here, Thanks for having me one more time. App
