Speaker 1 (00:00):
Something that you never want to relate to, but let's
face it, people relate to it. Okay, this is a
tattoo fail story. What happened again?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
So a fan of got some lyrics from Olivia Rodrigo
song hope you're okay. It's supposed to be butterfly wings.
She got butter wings so she didn't get to fly,
so she said butter wingings.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Yeah, I love butter wings. Yeah, but you said that.
Olivia Rodrigo now has even seen it.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, she laughed about it on her TikTok. She said,
oh my god, this is the new lyric. I'm changing
it to butter wings. And now the girl's like, I
don't know if I should change it because Olivia Rodrigo said,
it's funny, right, yeah, And.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's a story. It's a conversational piece it is. But
it's on your body, I know, right. Eight hundred and
four oh nine ninety three ninety three. Does anyone have
any tattoo fails?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah? You don't have anything, do you not?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
You're happy? Don't say yeah.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
Well I shouldn't say not yet because I go to
the same guy or got Mike, and I don't want
to put that out there, but no, no fails.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
As of right now, I have unfinished work, but it's
not a fail.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
It's just like we're not there yet.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
And I my girlfriend asked, and she never asked for anything,
but she said, please, please, this year, do not get
any tattoos during the summer because last year, I mean
every other week I was coming in and I was
filling up my arm and stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Guess who went in the water. Not at all last year. Mate.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
So she was like, please, all I want to do
is go to the beach with you. I want to
go to the pool.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
That.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I was like, all right, I'm gonna hold off. But
the problem is my arm isn't done. And there are
pieces that are very clearly not done.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
For example, like if you look at the cactus on
the back, the pines from this are over it. They
weren't supposed to be over The reason why they are
is because we're gonna continue to do stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
And then if you look here, there's a palm tree
for no reason.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Everything's the desert, and then there's some palm tree hanging
out for no reason.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Random palm tree.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, it's just like I want to move this palm
tree here.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I want to get some more stuff here, you know.
Other than that, though, ain't nothing. And then the only
thing that I don't like is not from Mike.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Why don't you like the who Cares?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
That is one of my favorite tattoos?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeh, because check this out. So I have who Cares
on my body and then I also have insanity. Why
do I have both of those? Well, it's in my
great Papa's handwriting, and he would say that those two things.
I got this in a radio studio when I was
like eighteen. Okay, everything else I got from Mike Traina.
Let me tell you something. When you are looking at tattoos,

(02:30):
there's no one else that you should go to Art
District look him up. And I'm not just saying that
because he's a great friend of mine. But listen, Jeded
and I have it all over our body. We very
obviously like it. Now, this was not done by him,
and if you look at it, the ink is very different.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
So, oh my goodness it is. I didn't even notice sanity. Yeah,
you wouldn't notice it, but I notice it, oh man. Yeah,
But I'm okay with it because it's just like, okay,
why can I see balls on your cat?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
You can't do that nervous.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Oh my goodness, yeah, you definitely.

Speaker 7 (03:13):
I got.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Britney. Britney. You asked for a what.

Speaker 7 (03:21):
A cherub like a baby angel, okay, for one of
my for one of my kids, and it was on
my back and they're like, yeah, not a problem, and
they do this tattoo and it was it's a fairy
like it's it's a fairy. It's got wings, it's got
like long lanky limbs, not like a baby like chairub
at all. It was. It was so bad and it

(03:44):
was like a five hour long session and I should
have like looked and but like once I got like halfway,
well like what was I supposed to do? Be like
stop change it? Like it's ink in my back, like
it's done. So I like sat with it, let it heal.
And then I went somewhere else and got to cover up.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
So you did get a cover up. What what did
you do? Is a chair up there now? Or did
you have to.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Move that.

Speaker 7 (04:05):
So it's completely covered and it's just like flowers. It's
just like a big like floral back piece.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Okay, But it.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
Was so much more painful than getting the original tattoos.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
They say that yeah, everything.

Speaker 7 (04:19):
Is scarred at that point, and I was just like,
I have to get this done. Like I wasn't wearing
like any like I didn't want people to see it.
Like I was like, I was this crazy faery on
my back, so I would I just sat through it
and it stuffed. And then afterwards they're like, wow, you
didn't need any of the numbing gel. I'm like, wait,
there's numbing gel.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Oh my god, wait a second, there is no ye,
there's been some athletes who even go under anesthetic to
do like leg sleeves and stuff like that, and the
numbing creeden doesn't actually help you fee the tattoo make
fun of us, and what were you gonna say.

Speaker 7 (04:57):
Brittany, Well, I was gonna say, well, they are just babies,
because this was like shoulder to shoulder across both cabulus. Yeah,
I just it's over. Now, it's over, and I have
three flowers and the fairies gone.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Well, hey, happy mistake. I suppose, Brittany. We'll talk to
you later, and thank you so much for sharing it.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Phil.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I know that there are some people texting them They're like,
I have one, but I don't really want to talk
about it because I'm sad.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Thank you, Brittany and Benzy. Benzi. You were supposed to
get a star of David and what happened?

Speaker 6 (05:27):
I was supposed to get a start Dave. First of all,
good morning.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
What's up?

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Started with the ni yang you know quality, and we
were in the basement. We were drinking first person, you know,
gotta tatchoo gun. We wanted to, you know, test things out. Well,
lo and behold, I woke up with the swaster cuff pentagram.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
No, come on, Benzi, you're messing around.

Speaker 6 (05:51):
Nope, that was the quickest cover up I ever got.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah, yeah, are you kidding me? Who did they? Did
they mess it up?

Speaker 6 (06:00):
I don't know what they did. You know, we were drinking,
you know, and that's a hate crime. What what they
were thinking?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
That's a hate crime? Right, I would certainly file it
under that. I don't know. Benzi, you're Jewish, I'm assuming.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Yeah, we know from Israel.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
You got a swatztak on your body. We need to
find whoever did that and take care of them.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
They were taking care of Okay.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Good holy crap, Oh my god, I can't even imagine it.
And by the way, by the way, Benzi, you're Jewish. Really,
you're going to be buried in a Jewish cemetery. You
can't have a tattoo.

Speaker 6 (06:40):
Right, You're not supposed to have any type of and and.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
And you got branded with the swapstick cup. I can't
believe this.

Speaker 1 (06:49):

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
