Lean next. Tampa's City Council wants to limit dangerous behavior
by people on bikes and e bikes on the city's
biking and walking trails. So city members discussed an ordinance
that would allow police to ticket bike riders if they
ride with more than two people side by side, and
allow police to ticket riders who perform Willie's or other

dangerous stunts. So the ordits will pertain to people on
city biking and walking trails like the Tampa Riverwalk in
Basure Boulevard. However, there are some people who are believing
that they're taking it way too far. Her name is
Robin Lockett. She is a community activist, and she's remembering
a time when the US Justice Department found the Tampa

Police Department was unfairly citing one segment of society on
bikes and a policy that was known as biking while Black.
So several council members said they don't want enforcement on
the cities biking and walking trails to return to those days.
As of now, the council members. They did pass the
ordinance on the first reading, but they would have to
pass a second reading after a public hearing before it

can actually be enforced.

get mad, especially when it revolves around Bay Shore, which
I completely understand. Bay Shore is one of the most
dangerous roads, even after they've you know, changed the speed
