Nick Reiner, the son of legendary director Rob and Michelle Reiner,
was arrested on suspicion of killing his parents. The district
attorney announced what Nick has been charged with. Here take
a listen to this.

He's a first degree murder with a special circumstance of
multiple murders. He also fasts a special allegation that he
personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife.
These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison
without the possibility parole or the death penalty. No decision

at this point has been made with respect to the
death penalty we have requested, and currently Nick Reiner is
being held without bail.

The weekend, he has closed a massive catalog deal worth
around one billion dollars with investment firm Lyric Capital Group.
So I like this deal because he's gonna have control
over what who can use his music, what they can
use it for, because a lot of people they just
sell their music and they're just like, whatever, you can
do what you want with it. Whereas this deal gives

him more of leverage of where his music can be
played and house his music is used, and he'll still
be able to monetize excuse.

Industry and deciders say this kind of deal could set
a new standard for how artists monetize their music without
losing creative control.
