news today. Welcome and by the way, we're officially commercial
free and that nice. So President Trump two news stories
involving him today and a new executive order. Guess what

there are now two two new federal holidays.

And I had no idea that this wasn't the case before.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
But did you guys know that Christmas and Christmas Eve
were not federal holidays.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
I did not know that. Yeah, so officially now they are.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
That means obviously many government workers are going to be
able to enjoy an extended break spanning Wednesday through Sunday.
Saw that and I got really really excited. So welcome
to the good old holidays. That's my favorite, but Christmas
is my favorite holiday.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Can just say that? Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I was texting with our bosses last night about putting
together something. I'm gonna do this. I'm mightna make this
very clear right now. In twenty twenty six, we're going
to be recruiting Florida men and women for the Patriot Games.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Patriot Games.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Thank god I did not bring that up to you
last night. I wanted to get your actual reaction on this.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
What we do in the moment games? Are you? Are
you ready for this? I'm ready for it. Are you
ready to have it? I'm serious? All right?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
So President Trump has announced for America's two hundred and
fiftieth birthday celebration, a new athletic event for young people.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
The Patriot Games are going to be a four day
competition for high school athletes. This is going to happen
in the fall of twenty twenty six. It's going to
bring together one boy and one girl from each US
state and territory to compete in a series of athletic
contests designed to show case young talent in sportsmanship. I

am going to now if you, if you are an athlete,
I want to.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Put together a team.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
We're gonna go through tryouts, okay, and we're gonna see
if you're good enough to represent Florida. Because we're gonna
get this. The representation of our great state is gonna
be out of Tampa Bay.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I'm calling it right now.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
So if you are a young team, that sounds a
Little Diddy, No Diddy, no Diddy. We need you to
play some sports, okay. But also I'm gonna call the president.
You know, back in the olden days, you could just
show up to the White House say hey, I want
to speak to the president.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
They let you do that.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I know I want to speak to the President, and
I want to say, hey, let's extend this out. I
need older people. Why because I think we should get
Florida men to do it. Think about all the highlight deadlines, Irek.
You know Florida man Rob's bank flees by jumping on
the back of the truck and hanging on.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
That's athleticism.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Man hides in the paneling of a wall to wait
for the cops to leave, and then he exits and
runs away from the cops. That's athleticism. Why not, do
you know? For America's two hundred and fiftieth birthday, like
criminal games, just give it a trophy already, and they're
fighting for their freedom that they win, they get out.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I like that. It's kind of like us a little bit.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Exactly see exactly, I'm for it, Joe. Last News of
the Hour, there is a new father, Pete Davidson. So
Pete Davidson and his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt gave birth to
their first child. Well she did, a baby girl name
Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, which that's a that's a lot

of it's a long name, but a beautiful name and
beautiful baby. So congratulations to the new dad and mom.
