Speaker 1 (00:00):
Are you in a relationship where your significant others speaks
a different language? They can speak two languages and one
of those is a language that you don't speak. Eight
hundred four ninety three ninety three could text in at
ninety seven seven to well, welcome to the Joe Show.
We're in ninety three three flz so jed you are
in a newer relationship. I mean, you guys have been

(00:20):
together for a minute. Her name is Redina and she
is Albanian. She is what's going on with this?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
So the other day I was on the phone with
her and then I heard in the background like a
different language being spoken, and I'm like, I knew it
was her dad, obviously, and they're speaking out together.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Man could be Kenny and Kenny.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Obviously don't put that out there. But I thought, oh
my god, what are they saying? I'd have I've never
heard anybody like really speak full blown Albanian like that
in quite some time. I have no idea what's going on.
And the immediate thought that went into my head, and
I don't even know why I'm thinking this is what
are they saying about me?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Cause yeah is that's always what I feel? And I
have friends who date Puerto Ricans and Cubans and are
married to Puerto Ricans and Cubans, and they have parts
of their family where they only speak Spanish and the
mom doesn't speak English. So they're kind of int some
same situation as well where they don't speak Spanish and
they hear the mom and the and the daughter talking
and they're like, what are they saying about me? And

(01:21):
I'm going nuts because I'm like, the dad say that,
I'm like a schmuck? Did you say that? Like I'm
a ditch? So what's going on here? So now I'm
like super self conscious about it. I'm going to ask
you really, let me call it right now and see
if I can get around.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Eight hundred four O nine ninety three ninety three, eight
hundred four and nine ninety three ninety three. I gotta forget,
I forget the cameras on. I oh, guy, eight hundred
four O on then ninety three ninety three. If maybe
you are that person in the relationship where you speak
multiple languages and your significant other doesn't like, does your

(01:56):
family talk trash about them in a different language. I've
said this before, like with the new iPhone AirPod, I
want to get him where I can because they've translating.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, maybe you need to get this.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I want it for the specific reason if I want
to go to places where they potentially could be saying
bad things, and then I can try to look and
go the buck stops.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Now, Hi speak Spanish. Yeah, yeah, something like that.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
That would be awesome at restaurants, like, for an example,
a Chinese restaurant or Korean restaurant, where you know you're
not gonna be able to pick up anything that they
say because at least with Spanish or German or friendship
a little bit, because some of the things kind of
translate over to English.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
But man, oh my god, Sylvie fun Yes, Hi, Sylvie.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Hi. Do you think that Jed's girlfriend's dad was talking
trash about him?

Speaker 4 (02:52):
I don't think so. No. I actually saw Jed and
his girlfriend at the pool party this Sunday and I
heard them. I heard his girlfriend talking on the phone
and this tent obinion, so I know that she did
not talk trash.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
So you were at you were at the pool party
and you were listening in on the phone conversation where well,
because I.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Was in a bathroom, it happened to at the same time.

Speaker 1 (03:19):

So let us know what were they talking about? God,
unless it's like something like that.

Speaker 4 (03:29):

like the night before. But nothing. No, No, they were
just talking about just normal girl stuff. Okay, I'm not
gonna disclose it, but it.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Was hold on, hold on is horrible. I mean, you're
gonna be wondering, buddy, Right, I'm gonna be wondering. What
were they talking about?

Speaker 4 (03:58):

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, listen, if she says something bad about Jed, I'm
positive that she would tell us, would you exactly?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah, No, she didn't say nothing bad. I will tell
you if she would tell you.

our nails done, and I'm like, listen, the only thing
that we need to learn how to sing in a
different language is aha, I knew that you were talking
about me, and then the rest we got covered. But

(05:27):
I can't wait to try them all because I need
them for work too. But and I'm single, so hey,
my my door is open for any language.

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
