(00:00):
I feel like it has been foreversince I've seen you guys. I know,
no literally, and I'm like,I just saw you last day already.
How's the family? How are thekids, the kids, the husband,
happy white, happy life. Bythe way, we are only a
few days removed from Miami Music Week. Are your brains fresh enough to have

(00:21):
this chat? Because I don't knowif mine is? Probably not, Let's
do it. And yeah, no, we were on a boat half the
time and for me, like Istill I keep tipping over accidentally, like
I have no center of bravity.Juje, by the way, how's your
neck? Oh my god? Thisyou just sawt to be like this too.
Yeah, you throw a little wrenchup, but it's okay. I'm

(00:41):
like, also, I'm not jokingfor some reason, when you gave me
a hug, I don't know whatyou did or what ankle we were hugging
at, but literally, I waslike just a clue everybody in I was
so excited when I was meeting youguys for the first time and Juje actually
ran up to me, and Imean head it is not a headlong,

(01:03):
I'll be honest. I mean itwent like it was aggressive, but in
the best way possible. I waslove it was a bear hug. There
was no it was it was itwas a bear hug. Like Jujus a
very small person, so bear hugis just like I also was just excited,
So I think it was Yeah,I think it was half on her
end too. I think it wasthe way you were like. I am

(01:27):
a small guy too, so it'snot like I could like lift you up
over my head or anything. Hey, it doesn't take much to do damage.
When I joined, she was alreadyjust like Keana comes into it,
She's like, what the heck happened? And thank god I didn't come over

(01:48):
here at the same time. Icame in, and he's just like and
I'm like, she's doing this thing, and she's just like kind of like
the old crooked and I'm like, what the heck. Brilliant thing for the
first time, and all of asudden, you have to go to a
chiropractic for three months. I'm literallylike, dude, what do you do
to people? Why? Yeah,we need to address something before the chat
even starts. Uh, juj ifI mispronounce your name during this chat,

(02:12):
you gave me permission and told meyou wanted me to go. So if
at any time during this chat,I go between Juj and Juj, that's
why. Honestly, it's Juj,but Juja's flavor. Whatever you did the
first time, I kind of like, it's not a fancier. He's been
calling her Jug. We had likehe knows my name is Juj, like
on purpose. Yeah, Steve,Steve Lebo my name and his phone is

(02:37):
Jug and I'm like, that's justnot my name. Jug. Counting down
the biggest dance songs in the country. This is America Guys Dance thirty,

(03:00):
Juje, Kanna Zella, Welcome toBecause Dance thirty for the first time.
Thank you for having it Brian here. You know what's so funny is I
was thinking so much about not mispronouncingJuje that Keana like didn't flow right.

(03:21):
No, you're good is usually theeasier one to pronounce. This time a
little zoom. Yeah, I've neverhad it misspelled like I've had a cr
sometimes. I don't know how,but don't put that in my head.
What are you doing it? Iknow it has happened, but I don't
know how cause it's not even close. It is close, it's only one
letter off. But it doesn't soundNo, it doesn't sound the same at

(03:44):
all. It's not like jug judgeju get it all. It was so
awesome finally meeting you guys at MiamiMusic Week, especially since we've been dming
for so long. Which ps,this needs to be addressed for everybody else.
If you slide into Zella's d MS, both of them are replying to

(04:09):
you, possibly for the price ofone. That's what we'd like, you
said. Everyone keeps asking us,who does your social meeting. We're like,
yes, it's us, just meether, no one else's ass But
we're so excited to meet our penpal in real life. That's amazing.
It was so awesome. But thatis so unfair that we never know who
we're talking to. I feel likeyou should add like a signature to it.

(04:30):
Honestly, I think it's cooler thatit's both of us because it's literally
just like a it's a little surpriseeverything the lottery. You don't know who
you're figging that day. Yeah, okay. People also laugh sometimes because like
for some reason, like things justlike happened to Kean and I together,
so like we texted someone the otherday, like like we had a cold.
We this like we just like talkplurally and like it just like gets

(04:51):
rid of our sense of individualism, but like it's it's not a her means,
it's a wee. It's a wee. Absolutely well, congrat elations on
your first number one with why should? I were so excited, Thank you,
so high we are. It wasalso just like a crazy week to
have it happened to Miami. Itwas like faith, yeah, that was

(05:12):
perfect timing and it was. AndI got to be honest, it was
a little awkward because we're like recordingstuff under the assumption that it's going to
be number one, but that's alwayslike a possible jinx. So I was
like, no, let's not tellyou. We got the okay from Noah
on like Thursday. He was like, you know what, it's not going
to change, like go for it. So we were getting all of our

(05:33):
friends through the number one video andwe were like so excited Sunday when we
could finally announce it, because everytime we were walking around all those little
interview stations being like I think it'snumber one. You want to be like
persumptuous, but then they would belike, yes' number one. When we
sat it on the mic at theDMAs were like that. I mean,
it was number one all those timesin live time, but it wasn't publishing

(05:53):
on the chart, so we werelike, please don't fail us and I
love Noah and all, but couldhe have added a little more energy to
his video shout out? No,we love Noah. Noah is like Noah's
like the gloom. We love himno No, but like Noah has swagged

(06:14):
him from the East Coast, theEast Coast. He's got that Noah shear
swag. Yeah. Well, Ican't wait to talk about how this song
was born, but first, let'sget to know Juje and Keana a little
better with Finky's first, especially sinceI barely know anything about you guys.
I hope we know each other sowell, but we don't know. But

(06:36):
we don't exactly. So I lovefinding out the origin story of artists.
Now, when you were growing up, was music the first thing you,
guys wanted to do? Or wasthere something else you wanted to be when
you grew up? Yeah? No, I would say like entertainment just in

(06:57):
general. I worked professionally in theateras a growing up in the East Coast
and then moved out here with anagent for TV film acting, but was
writing songs, doing English classes. My favorite poetry since I was younger,
So entertainment in general was like inmy life since I was born and me
like I was like big into writingpoetry. I used to like publish my
poetry and like books as a kid, and then I was in a rock

(07:18):
band and like did back up forRundium C. When I was a kid,
Like I was like out here workingin the rock scene. So like
for me, I had my ownmusic, been going to on the side,
So that was always what it started. Well, question about your poetry
because I wrote poetry as a kidand growing up as well, did you
pay to have your poetry published?Because I did that when I was younger.
He's literally paying to play. He'slike, hey, put me on.

(07:40):
No. I would enter competitions forlike young poet poetry digests and stuff
like that, like I forgot whatit was because I was in French school
at the time, so it wasin French, and I would submit all
my poetry for like these like Idon't know, like these like young poetry
books, and I'd get them.Yeah, this was some kind of scam
that you would pay to get yourpoem put in the book. And I

(08:01):
was like, okay, that soundsright. So I didn't published. You
made it. That's all the matters. You have a way with your words,
whatever way it is, you madeit work. If someone has a
book with Brian's like poetry, Iwould love to see that poem that am
I would love to see. Well, that wasn't my best one that was

(08:22):
published, but I actually did havesome I haven't written in a long time.
Usually it's when i'm as you know, as songwriters, it's when you're
going through tough times that the beststuff comes out. Thankfully, nothing has
come out lately, so I guessthat's a good sign. Okay, let's
keep it like that absolutely. Now, you guys were separate artists before you

(08:52):
joined forces as the powerful Zella.Do you guys remember the first song you
ever wrote? No, because likewe were writers as Zella, but like
meaning a dude, our first duothat came about was Zella. We've been
Zella for honestly, like before wewere an artist. You did do two
and a half years and we neededthat for our writing project. So we
were writing for other artists across allgenres from country to K pop, from

(09:15):
pop to R and B all genres. So I can't remember. I feel
like it was probably a pop song. I don't know. It was probably
a pop song like a ballad, but I forgot what it no Like people
have asked us that we don't knowwe should love When we were in our
writing zone though, like we weredoing like double sessions every day, Like
we were writing like hundreds and hundredsof like songs. So we have a
lengthy catalog of Wow. Now Iwas actually talking about you guys separately.

(09:39):
Do you remember the first song youguys wrote separately? I was thirteen,
Like when the one that I wouldsay is like that, I would say,
is like my first song that I'mlike proud of, I would say
I was thirteen. I was likea country artist in middle school. Used
to release country songs. She didanother jool, I love country music something
I like love the Origin to myHeart. I love Nashville. But that's
like where I started. My firstproject was a country project in middle school.

(10:03):
That's awesome. What about mine?Me and missus Matsumoto shout out,
miss Masimoto. We we composed apiano piece called the Happy Turtle, and
I think I was, like,I don't really remember that I used to
do piano pieces. I don't remember. I know the Happy loves Its first
of all, it's schmacks like.Second of all, like I like my
parents bought me like a little turtlenecklace. Like I just like thought I

(10:26):
was I was. I thought Iwas hot in it, like you know
what I mean. Like I reallythought after the Happy Turtle, like I'm
about to do like a SONATAI.I don't know, but but basically I
was called the Happy Turtle. Ithink I was like six or seven,
and yeah, I have a videoof it. It was my first composition
piece. And then and then myfirst song I had really really ever written

(10:46):
was a song called double Take.I love that. That's the only when.
That was the first one I everrecorded properly. But before that,
I used to write hunts of songsas a kid, like a bunch of
random stuff. Here's why I lovethese questions, because you really get to
know people. I had no ideawe had so much in common. First
of all, I grew up inMontreal, so I spoke French too growing

(11:07):
up. Yeah, exactly. Andmy nickname growing up was a turtle because
I was so shy. I wasmore like a snapping turtle, very shy
exactly. But the second you comeat me, I'm like, I don't
think that's the noise snapping turtles make. But I know you. You definitely

(11:31):
came out of your shop. Yeahyou did. It's so funny you say
that because I am still very introverted. So I'm what's called an ambivert.
I'm very introverted and to myself exceptwhen I have to be. When I'm
stepping out on stage or in frontof people, then I'm totally extroverted.
But when I'm by myself and tomyself, I'm very introverted. What if
you like to do on the weekend, Like what is your ideal weekend outside

(11:54):
of work, chilling at home withmy baby boy, with our baby boy,
not with our baby boy. Yeah, that sounds really nice and pulls
something awesome. But we're kind ofvery similar. Like people are always like
an electronic like you must be likeout drinking this that day, Like when
you meet Kean and me and wewent to bed at ten thirty, like
every night Miami music. Yeah, and then people people also when we first
signed, they're like, yeah, you girls like to party, right,

(12:16):
I mean kind of like look ateach other like we're gonna be honest.
We like no like to support friends, like go out to friends shows.
We like to go to our shows. But like, aside from that,
I think we're a what is it? Amberfer? Amberfer? Now, what's
wrong with chilling with a baby boy? I'm talking about my cat, Tucker.
I'm not talking about a baby boy. He's my baby boy. I
was actually concerned for a second.I was like, did I not realize

(12:37):
that he had a baby son?I'm gonna go? I was like,
Damn, I guess we really don'tknow, like that that is my son.
I know we do we have technicallythen she has a baby daughter,
and then a baby would exactly thereyou go. Now, I learned in
Miami that Zella is a combination ofyour middle names put together. Now,

(13:00):
when you were trying to decide onan artist project name, was Zella the
first name you guys were gonna gowith? Or were there other names you
were considering? There was three, but I don't remember them. Zella is
the first one that felt right. The other ones forgot WHOA. I feel
like you did what everyone does trywe try to combine like Juju and Kian
like Jim or like you like hetried juke or like he do then ki

(13:24):
Ju and Jukie. We tried that. I know. We were like like
this is like this sounds like ananime cartoon, Like it just doesn't sell.
It didn't make sense. I'm like, this is like trying. It's
like try hard, like Zalekin.Yeah, the way we got Zella,
like there were some people that arelike, I don't know if Sella is
it, and then both of usfelt like no, it's it, Like
we both loved it. Was likeit couldna get better. Yeah, it's

(13:45):
not gonna get better. Even withour last names too, like Temps sea
Tip, like nothing would have worked. Like I'm saying like sea Tip,
like I don't even know if wedid we do do we try to do
that show? But her last nameCelia and I'm Tibbiani, and like it
was like a joke, like itit was not gonna be It's Della just
hit like and then the three andthat came conceptually meet her in the audience

(14:07):
Like that was like the that cameabout like after we figured out Zella and
We're like, it still doesn't feellike something doesn't feel the three. We're
like, we need something like spunky, we need something different. We're like
three. Yeah, and you guyskind of passed over that really quickly.
So share with everybody the three inZella the meaning of it. So the
three means it's like an interactive experiencewith just the two of us, Zella

(14:28):
cannot exist. It takes three ofus. So whether it's like meet her
and an audience member or right now, you're like the third person sharing this
experience with us. It's like me, you and Kean. You're the third
member of Zella. So you haveto get a tattoo. We talked about
this. I actually have an appointmentwith my tattoo artists on Friday. Uh,
it's just to get some shoulder workdone. But I'll be happy to

(14:50):
throw in a Zella tattoo. Well, we'll send you the specs. We'll
send you specs. I love it, you know. The logo to everything
came about very like, not quickly, I would say, but organically and
naturally and quickly. Yeah, becauseeverything just felt right. So I didn't
feel like we were having to lingeron something. It just like came about
me and huge, like I feellike we both are we both are like
this, like if we put ourheart in something, we put our everything

(15:13):
in it. Yeah. So likewhen we really when Zella like came to
life and we saw that, youknow, there were moments where it was
just building very quickly in a slowamount and a short amount of time.
So we were like, something's differentabout this, and we kept going and
going and going. Things just startedto just make sense. It was like
puzzle pieces fitting. So we gotthe tattoos and we went at each other

(15:33):
like this is gonna it's gonna beit. We actually got the tattoos the
day of like it was the firstreally cool thing we did radio wise.
It was the day that we hostedthe Chainsmokers show, So we listened to
the show that we had already previouslyrecorded and hosted on our phones while getting
the tattoos, like our friends tattoos. So we have the video and everything,
because that was the first thing thatfelt like, Okay, this is
real and like, like she said, we don't really commit to things that

(15:56):
we're not going to put one hundredpercent, so we're like let's go.
Yeah, I love that you guys, finally decided on that, and that's
actually on my business card. Notgoing to get any better than this.
So what, I'm the most scullibleperson, so like I just can't but
sometimes your humor I love it becauseI just I'll believe anything. I love

(16:18):
that. Now. Of course, you guys have your number one. You've
released songs prior to this, Butdo you remember the first dance song that
made you fall in love with ED m Oh? I mean together and
even in Unison, you guys together. I know, No, we do
this all the time. Like whatit's like that Frozen song like finish each

(16:38):
other sandwiches. Yeah, that's likethat's literally me and Jude we say the
same things. Oh my god, that's like a really really hard questions.
I feel like that's such a weightedquestion. I can tell you mine right
now. It's not that way ofa question. I will say like I
did love like I love like tapeand Paula be she Wake Me Up like

(16:59):
I love like the really really likehappy things and that we were in middle
school when a vich Wake Me Upcame out, So like the memories I
have around Wake Me Up are sopure. That's like a very good example
of just being introduced to dance musicbecause we're at such a young age.
The memories that I associate associated aVICH with. I was like thirteen at
my first dance the Chain Smoker withthe Chain Smokers. I was like fifteen

(17:21):
when Closer came out, so itwas like my first It's like whether it's
like a first kiss in middle schoolto like a VICH wake me up.
But like there's cool moments that Iwouldn't even associate, like around falling in
love for dance music, but justlike falling in love with my life.
I feel like, you know,I associate them with different things, like
how cause falling in love with music, I'll be honest, that didn't like
we both love dance music, butwe both came from different backgrounds originally.

(17:41):
So like if I had to thinkof a song of like me falling in
love with music, it's not necessarilygoing to be dance like being honest,
Like yeah, I kind of morethan honest opinions, like just being honest
like some of her fact I loveBarbara stroysand she loves bo Withers, Like
those are artists that I feel likethat is originated our love for music.
So just being honest, like electronicmusic we got into used to not necessarily
the beginning of our life. Wegrew a love for it, it wasn't

(18:03):
our first love for music. Yeah, I agree, yeah, and I
totally agree with that. I mean, I have a love for James Taylor,
Air Supply Genesis, you know, all that older sappy stuff. But
then I love like older dance music. Like I don't even know if you
guys are going to be familiar withthis stuff, but like Joshuaink Higher State
of Consciousness was the song that gotme into dance music. So if you

(18:25):
haven't checked that out, but doyou know the funny story behind Wake Me
Up and him dropping that at Ultra? No, please tell us I love
that stuff. So first of all, it broke my heart when you said
you were in middle school because Iwas actually at Ultra when you dropped.
But anyways, so a Vichy droppedthat for the first time at Ultra and

(18:49):
he actually got booed on stage whenAlo Black came out and performed because nobody
had any idea what was going on, and it was was kind of the
first like molding of country music soundin edm Yeah, and so you've got
all these hardcore EDM fans there andyou know, progressive house, and all

(19:11):
of a sudden, a Vich's droppingthis country song and it's like what is
I remember coming around from one ofthe other stages getting to main stage,
it being blacked out, and allof a sudden Alo Black started singing and
it's like, what is happening rightnow? Wow? And then it blows
up to be one of the bestsongs ever. That song is timeless,

(19:34):
I will say, like like Isaid, like I think I had like
one of my first kisses when Iwas like twelve to that song. That's
one thing. It came out whenI was twelve thirteen. Like that.
It came out when we were liketwelve thirteen. And now I still feel
like that life from that song. It's in our set and something all those
years later, it's withstood the testof time, and I feel like that's
a timeless song too. Yeah,And I love country music and it just
feels very natural the way that wasblended. So like, screw these people

(19:57):
who foot them off the stage, like y'all don't know anything. And if
you haven't listened to Volvo melding countrymusic, and dance music. They do
yed M now, which is alot of country remixes. I think country
vocals sound amazing over dance music.I totally agree. Now, well,
we have some of something very similarcoming up soon, you know, in
that lane, in that direction,I want a few songs from that very

(20:18):
well, say I'll give a shoutout because it's a different lane of it.
But I did grow up listening tolike telepop music and depeche Mode and
like like different like things that introducedme to like I would say, synth
sounds and like different like types ofproduction that electronic music. So there was
a lot of different influences, butI definitely got I got into electronic when
I was like probably like I wouldsay, mid middle school, middle of

(20:41):
middle school. I think it wassomething that like we grew to love organically.
I think our first love for musiccompany. I know, I hit
puberty and how love came out.Like that's all I want to say at
quote of the interview. By theway, just a suggestion if you don't

(21:02):
know the song Days go By byDirty Vegas, check it out. It's
an older song, but I reallythink it's going to be a song that
you guys vibe to. It's gotsuch a cool dirty Vegas, Dirty Vegas.
Yeah, absolutely, it's such agood song. Now finally in Thinkey's

(21:30):
first in honor of why should I? Going number one? If you did
dance alone? What would be thesong you would want to dance alone too?
How did I want to dance withsomebody? Whitney Houston? How did
yous? Wow? Those were quick. That's the quickest answer you got.

(21:51):
I feel like somebody has asked youthat question before, so you had the
answer. I'm going to check thatoffs are very specific. Yeah, those
songs that just make his fool like, Yeah, such good songs. Well,
let's talk about this smash how waswhy Should I? Born? So?
Why Should I? Two years agoin the UK when we had been

(22:15):
doing separate projects, we went tothe UK as writers and we were at
tall Yard with Steve Minofski writing Andoriginally this was like because I was doing
kind of like a ray pop danceproject before we became Zella, So this
was something that was going to befor my project, like initially, and
we just went in. Me andKiana really liked the snake Termer melody.
It's public domain Kesha's used it andwe were like, this would be a

(22:36):
sick dance hook. So we wentwith Steve Manofski, who we loved.
We made two great songs with him. So that song, that's why I
mentioned that backstory. It's been sittingin our notes and we didn't know what
Homeman has the sity. We justknew it was an amazing song and we
just left it there for the righttime, the right moment and ended up
being a Zella song. So thatwas awesome because we even thought about when
I didn't know if I was gonnamusic for my project, that whole thing

(22:56):
was just in a question. Wewere like, Okay, this is a
pitch record. Who should we pitchit to? We were thinking about some
larger artists, and then when Zellawas born, We're like, no,
this is our song. So Iwas like, this is the one that
we saved, like even when wehad signed our deal, like I said,
we had why should I, butwe wanted to wait while we were
developing the project. Give it up, you have a wallpaper, show a
few different things sonically, and waitfor that hit for why should I?
Because we knew that that was ourfavorite song that we had for the first

(23:18):
three songs, so we wanted tointroduce a few zella songs before giving a
bang with why should I? Yeah, we had it, We had it
in the back of our heads. We didn't want to run out the gate
with why should I because we wantedto kind of introduce ourselves to the scene
before we knew that it was arecord. We just needed to wait to
write on time. Yeah, it'ssuch a great song, and I didn't

(23:38):
know I was when I was doingresearch. Is it yellow Wallpaper? Is
that one of the other songs?Yes, that popped up. I was
like, Wow, this is reallygood too. Well, thank you those
the one actually write before Why shouldI? God? Then I feel horrible
because I feel like Noah Shear mighthave sent that to me, and I
was like, yeah, it's good, but I don't know if it's right
for revolution. No that to behonest, that one, give it up?

(24:00):
What did some cool things with radio? Our first songs like that was
our introduction to the scene, andit was awesome, But yellow Wallpaper that
was one like more for us,and that one didn't really feel like a
radio song anyway, So we reallydidn't implement radio for that song. Gotcha?
Then, it was the other one. Yeah, it was a slower
like narrative song that actually funny enough. That's the one that's like streams the
best. People like that one thebest, and that's the one that we

(24:22):
put the least emphasis on funny enough. It's always the way it is.
I'm like, okay. I waslike, okay, yeah, we get
We don't want to call last weekwith these people. They're like, we
love our favorite song of all ofyours is yellow Wallpaper. We're like,
hopefully you like the single that's outright now that we're pushing, but awesome,
we love yellow Wallpaper too, Likedid I don't care to mention?
Why should? I were like, okay, Well, something that I love
to find out about songs is howmany different v's there are, from when

(24:47):
you start working on the song, all the tweaking that goes on to when
you finally put it out. Doyou know what the final justin rub me?
Why don't you jeeus chat? Thisnever happened, This has never happened
before to us. This is theday of demo, that this is the
day of day of demo. Wait, wait, wait wait. The song

(25:07):
that's out right now was the originaldemo the same day day of demo,
the day that person who's asked thisquestion and nobody else knows until now this
is the day of I actually didn'trealize that that's really special. Yeah years
ago, nothing has changed. Imean, I think he the extended version,
he added an intro, but thatneeded to be done anyway because that

(25:29):
was the actual radio master. Nothinghe maybe he maybe built it out of
the tiny bit, but but no, nothing had changed besides mixed mixed master.
What you're hearing on the radio isliterally the day of demo that we
made in London. Wow, twoyears ago. That is incredible. Yeah,
I actually love that. I thinkit's so starting to interrupt you,
but that's why I got so excited, because I was like, no way,

(25:52):
because yellow wall paper give it up, like those a lot of our
songs, Like there's a lot ofversions, this one's this one, there
was one. Yeah, that isincredible. That's really cool. Now can
I don't know how we're gonna dothis, but I would love to be
able to because I asked you guys, when we are in Miami, who
sings what parts? Because I can'ttell. Can we get like a little

(26:14):
sample of who's singing what we canspeak it to you. Yeah, that's
fine, that's fine. Congested,so I can't even sing. So it
depends on why should I I'm singing, because why should I stray from my
yellow wallpaper? I'm the first verse, keanus the prix, and then I'm
the hook, and then she's thesecond verse, and I'm the pre give
it up first versus me me bokusme, and then she's second the second

(26:36):
verse God, so you actually knowit by heart and then give it up.
But I'm doing batten layers on likethe parts. But that's like the
leads like yeah, just so justleads wise, that's like leads wise who
you're hearing? Yeah, and thenyeah and then on. Features are so
many it depends. So each songwe actually have had people ask because that
like like yeah, who's who,So then like if they ask us a
specific song, we're like beat beat, beat beep. No. Literally,

(26:57):
it's like it's it depends got features. It's just like our voices are different
in the sense where like somethings makesense on some things and some just don't.
And we know that, and aswriters, we have done and experimented
with a lot of genres, sowe know like what makes the most sense
where you know, we actually don'teven like, I don't even think really
talk about it when we're right. We just know. We just know.
We're like we just haves the micwhen what like makes sense to vocals?

(27:19):
Yeah yeah, I'm like it justyeah, we just know how it goes.
And then when you guys, dwill give you a vocal samples.
And I don't want to that personto be like, we're not going to
sing for you and listen. Imean music Week. I don't want to
butcher my one chance sings on America'sDance thirty and listen. I'm not the
type of person to put somebody onthe spot and make them sing, because,

(27:40):
believe me, I know how howdifficult it is to sing. So
I don't want to just say, hey, sing for us, let's go,
come on, come on. Beingthe entertainment all of our life,
I feel like we've been used aspuppets. It's like my mom will see
a piano at the moll and shouldlike go sing you know how to sing?
Or at the airport. I'm like, I'm like, maybe I just
don't want to sing right now,Like you know, what I'm saying.
Like every family gathering, it's likewhen they tell like a comedian, can
you tell a joke right now? They don't want to, which, by

(28:02):
the way, I've got a jokefor you if you want to hear it.
See I've got a joke ready togo. Mushroom walks into the bar,
says bartender, give me a drink. Bartender says, sorry, we
don't serve your kind here. Mushroomsays, why, I'm a fun guy.
Oh, that's funny. I lovedad jokes. That's funny. I

(28:22):
no wonder you have. Your catwould be proud. My cat are so
proud. Shout out Tucker, whowatches all my videos on YouTube. Thank
you. Shout out Tucker. Congratulationson your first number one with Why should
I? It is so incredible. So share with us. What is next
for Zella? Oh my gosh,so much is next for Zella. This

(28:45):
is just the beginning, a lotof new music, a lot of touring.
I'm trying to think a lot offeatures. If you were really excited,
like collaborations that we've honestly dreamed offor years, So really excited.
Sonically, we're experimenting a lot,so there'll be different versions of the ttronically
of Zella that you hear. It'snot one sided just why should I?
Or just like you'll feel we're hearinga lot of different things. Yeah,

(29:06):
I think like me and you haveno Zella sound as our own project.
But well for our own project,we have our own sound, yeah,
with our features and stuff. We'replaying around right now with different things and
like messing around kind of like subgenresand electronics. So we're having a lot
of fun just creating and really craftingsome more music to drop soon. But

(29:26):
we know our next record. Ohyeah, very about the next record.
It's like a club one, likehonestly, like if you like t why
should I, you'll like the nextrecord. And I think you teased it
in a video while you were walkingdown Collins right, Yes, but we
purposely speed it up because we didn'twant to give it away. It's like
soon, so we're like, okay, let's give them like the speed up
version. And if you want toget an even better idea of how amazing

(29:47):
Zella is, check out their Instagrambecause you guys post a lot of acoustic
and stripped down performances which are unbelievable. You guys are so talented, so
kind, so entered. Jetty,Oh my god, your energy is amazing.
We love you, Brian, loveyou Ghost. So if y'all don't
know, like this man is literallylike this in real life, like high

(30:10):
energy, like will no, no, don't say that. I don't want
to have to keep up the energyin real life. You're working your biking.
I'm like, does this man sleep? I love it? I don't,
But thank you, guys. Ireally appreciate that, Zella. It
is so awesome meeting you guys.Thank you so much for your time with
