that we always enjoy having as partof the show are some of the amazing
events that are happening in and aroundthe Omaha area. And we are man
already first of May and just gosh, a week and a half away from
one of the cool events I'm reallyexcited to be at this spring and that

is SIP Nebraska, let's put onby our friends at Blur Events and joining
us from Blur Events to Stacey Lennards. Stacey, welcome back to the show.
Hi, Emri, Yeah, thanksfor having me. Yeah, we
talked first time, I think overthe winter. You and I chatted about
just kind of the the Blur events, you know, backdrop, and kind
of what you are trying to dowith this company and with these events to

really make this a happen in placehere in Omaha and be an asset to
it. And this is really oneof the highlighted events that I was excited
to chat with you about. SoSIP Nebraska, just take me through kind
of the SIP Nebraska one one hereof what people need to know about this.
Oh great, yeah, well toNebraska. This will be our eleventh

year. They're out at Monny StatePark and the goal of this event is
really to highlight all the Nebraska beverageproducers. So we invite the wineries,
the crap berries, the distilleries,the sideries all across the state and those
that can join us to do andwe're excited to have one of our larger
lineups this year. We have twentyfour different beverage vendors joining us all the
way from Imperial di Scots Bluff,Nebraska, all the way to the west

side throughout Omaha or the east side. I apologies, and people can come
out and try and unlimited tastings andthey can also buy bottles and cases of
beer to take home as well.It's just an awesome idea because while a
lot of people just want to havea good weekend out or have a good

(01:53):
opportunity to enjoy what this city hasto offer in some of these events to
offer, you can kind of geta bunch of them in one place here
with what you got going on withSIP Nebraska. So how do you kind
of organize this thing? I know, like you said, you're kind of
a veteran at at this point withthis being the eleventh time that you've done
it. But how do you putthis together with so many dozens and dozens

of different companies, who are youknow, wanting to be a part of
this so people can enjoy or trywhat they have to offer. Yeah,
well, that definitely takes a team, and we've got a great, great
crew here at Blur, and sowe start out about eight months out every
year just you know, inviting everybody. We invite local artists, in vendors

as well, food trucks. We'vegot seven bands, bands lined up to
a whole bunch of other activities.So we start out pretty early reach out.
You know. Luckily we've been doingthis a number of years that people
do love to come back because wehave a great audience that does come out
and enjoys the event and gets asample all sorts of different goodies. We're

speaking with Stacy Leonards with Blur events. They're putting on for the eleventh time
SIP Nebraska, which is taking placenext weekend May tenth and the eleventh,
And for people who might be interestedin this, Mahoney State Park is the
location and what makes this the perfectspot kind of for this kind of event

because you're definitely not in the middleof a busy hustle and bustle. This
is way more like open space andyou get a chance to chill and relax.
I've been there before actually, andit's just a really cool, like
kind of secluded area. What madethis the right decision for the location for
this awesome event? Oh, that'sa good question, mahoney. Is just

a beautiful backdrop. It almost makesyou feel like you're in you know,
a vineyard or you're just out inthe agriculture enjoying that nature. And it's
just it makes you feel like you'reyou know, you're out, you know
you're away from home. You're outsideof the city in the hustle and bustles.
So it's a little bit more relaxed, you know, easygoing. We
have a lot of guests that comeout and they spend the weekend kind of

weekend destination. We book the lodgingout at the park. They come out
for both days. It's just moreof a it's not a quick in and
out. It's just a more ofa longer event and it's a little bit
more relaxing with just the atmosphere allaround. That's so I mean, that's
so true with the backdrop and justfeeling like you're away from home. It's
kind of like it's not a truevacation for a lot of people that are

living in Omaha because it's so closeby, but it kind of feels like
one when you're out at Mahoney StatePark and really one of the true awesome
spots just outside of town. Sowe're speaking with Stacey Lennard's Blur events sip

that you look forward to with thisparticular event every year. Oh, mine
is just reconnecting with our vendors whodo join us every year that we've had
some been joining us since twenty fourteen, since we started this, and it's

our one time of year just tocatch up. You know, there are
most of them were all from differentparts of link. You're in Nebraska,
So I think that's my most favoritepart, so touching base and see how
everybody's doing and getting to say hi. And I can't wait to say hi
to anybody that's going to be outthere. I can't. I can't decide
yet which day with it my wifeand I are going to be there,
