(00:00):
You can be a part of theshow by calling in four oh two five
five eight eleven ten. Four htwo five five eight eleven ten. Yeah,
so you can. Also theoretically youcan email me Emory at kfab dot
com. I don't I do thatshow in Des Moines, and people are
way more conditioned to text because there'sa text line for that station, and
(00:24):
it's just not good for radio,Okay. Like, I'm appreciative of the
thoughts. I'm appreciative of the emails, but I get so many good thoughts
from listeners and I just feel likeit would be better or suited if you
just talk to us. I'm notmeaning to people on the on the on
the phones unless they're mean to me, and even then sometimes I'm able to
restrain myself. Restraining yourself is important, and it's not really that big a
(00:47):
deal. It's just like you're talkingto a friend on the phone. I'm
a friend to most of these peopleat this point, right, Yeah,
just talking about stuff and things, not doing anything. You know, just
call if you have a thought thatyou think is important, just call four
h two five five eight eleven ten. Four h two five five eight eleven
ten. Do you know what dayit is, Matt, It is Wednesday,
(01:07):
my dudes. Yeah. But besidesthat, oh, it's June twelfth.
Yeah, it's also Independence Day forthe Philippines. Aha. You know
what else it is? What RussiaDay? Russia Day? Yeah? Is
it their Independence day or just theirday? You think Old Lad just was
like, hey, you know, this is a good day. It's the
(01:30):
Day of Adoption of the Declaration ofState Sovereignty of rs FSR, which is
the roviate Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. It's been celebrated annually since June twelfth,
nineteen ninety two. It commemorates theadoption of the Declaration of the State
Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative SocialistRepublic. Well, I'm glad we got
(01:55):
that out of the way. Congratulates. If you're Russian and you're living here.
I wonder what you like, likeyou to Russia or is Russia just
kind of like, oh, pleasedon't bring that up. I always wondered.
I've always wondered that, do youself pride for your homeland kind of
thing, you know what I mean? Or they just like get me away
from that. I never want togo back. I never want to hear
about it anymore. You know whatI mean? That is that the plausibility.
(02:16):
Well, yeah, when when you'rewhen your quote unquote homeland invades another
country, it might complicate matters. It might be hard to feel pride for
that. Yeah, that's fair, that's fair. Uh yeah, So I
guess Russia Day. I don't know, do you say Happy Russia Day?
It's not something I'm celebrating. Yeah, me here, all right, so
(02:38):
fair point. Appreciate everybody for listeningto us. The big news today is
that there were eight Isis tiede migrantswho have been detained. They crossed the
border illegally. They a threat tocertainly the safety of this country and national
(03:00):
security. And the Republicans who havebeen talking about shutting or slamming the border
shut very quickly jumped in and said, hey, this is what we've been
warning you about. Now. Theydid full vetting of these people and arrested
these eight suspect with ties to Isis, the Islamic State, and mostly I
(03:22):
guess the what's the lesson here?Right? So when somebody like our liberal
friends, I think Johnny's the guythat talks about this when he calls in,
and I don't want to summon Johnnyspecifically, but correct me if I'm
wrong. Matt, he said illegalimmigration is great for everyone. It's a
(03:42):
paraphrasing, but that's about right,right. I can't remember, honestly,
Okay, Well, I think hesaid something along those lines. Well,
the reason I asked that is becausethis is why it's not great. This
is not exactly what the whole pointof having a country and having border and
having sovereignty. This is why youhave that sort of thing, because you
(04:04):
never know what might be crossing theborder. And if you don't know,
if you're not able to catch, you're not able to vet, you're not
able to do research into these typesof individuals who are coming in with certainly
bad intentions. Now, whether ornot these people were going to violently destroy
something or they were going to recruitmore people to join the terrorist cause,
(04:26):
which we know there are people outthere, the people that are vandalizing statues
throughout New York City and Washington,DC and all throughout the country. Though,
those are the kind of people thatyou could easily recruit to be a
part of whatever Islamic state isis thingis going on here if that, even
if that's going on, that's stillgoing to do some irreparable damage to this
(04:46):
country, and we're going to justlike turn the other cheek and be like,
oh no, this is fine, this is great because we want to
win some elections. If you're theDemocrats, that's what this is about.
Now. Obviously Biden has since itwas last week right that he made the
announcement that he had an executive orderwhich he slamming a border shut. Yeah,
he's going to make a big difference. We can talk about the difference
(05:11):
it makes once we address the threeyears that you did nothing and people like
this who are literally coming into thiscountry illegally with the idea that they are
going to try to destroy us fromthe inside out. When you can give
us an answer as to how you'regoing to resolve that problem, and it'd
be great for you to apologize. It'd be awesome for you to admit that
you were incorrect in the way thatyou handle these things. I think that
(05:33):
would go a long way to enablingthe trust of the American public at least
a little bit. But at thispoint, this is the America that open
borders create. Now, these areonly eight people you think that there were
only these eight, You think theseare the only eight people that crossed in
that have bad intentions to the UnitedStates of America or freedom or any of
(05:54):
our allives. I don't who's tosay there aren't hundreds of them. Who's
to say there aren't thousands of themthat have crossed in the last twelve months.
It's hard to know because we don'tknow the people that have crossed the
border, because that's been the situationthat we have had for the last few
years. We don't care about alegitimate physical barrier, people saying it's a
(06:15):
humanitarian issue, and the behind thescenes stuff of trying to put certain people
in certain districts to count them aspopulations so they get this or that or
the delegates or they're able to messwith the districts and all that stuff,
and maybe even if they can findenough IDs have them be a part of
an election, which is a fearfor a lot of Americans. Whether or
(06:38):
not that's actually happening, you haveto ask the question. You have to.
And now that we have eight suspectswith ties to ISIS arrested in the
United States who have been confirmed ascrossing illegally. They were in New York
City, Los Angeles and Philadelphia, and we're going to have to figure out
what the next step is because I'msure there's more than just these eight.
And I'll be darned if I watchthe Democrat to celebrate and say, hey,
(07:00):
we got these look at us,look at us in our due diligence.
Yeah, I'm not falling for that, not falling for that one bit.
If you have thoughts on this, you can call in four h two
five, five, eight, eleventen, and I'll also give you a
few more details about what has beenfound out about these potent, these specific
eight people. That's on the wayto eighteen is the time on your Wednesday
(07:21):
on news radio eleven ten Kfab Emrie'ssonger on news Radio eleven ten Kfab.
We're going to learn about the process, I think a little bit more in
how people are going to be vettedand coming into the country. But the
joint US Immigration and Custom Enforcement andFBI sting resulted in these arrests. So
(07:45):
that's ICE. By the way,ICE in the FBI work together. And
uh, these are to Jikistan nationals, so they aren't Mexican, they aren't
from Central America. They're from toJikistan. Matt, could you do me
a favor and do some recon forme? Find to jickt stand on a
(08:05):
map, you got it, tellme what's going on? Those like these
Eight people have been arrested in thelast probably week or so. This all
didn't happen in one shot. Butthe interesting thing that the conversation is is
what will be the result of this. And one of the outspoken Republicans on
(08:26):
the matter, many Republicans have beenbut Montana Senator Republican Steve Danes said,
I've been sounding the alarm for monthsthat Joe Biden's wide open southern border is
leaving our homeland wide open to potentialterrorists. This news is not surprising.
But if it's not a wake upcall to Biden and the Democrats, I
don't know what will be end quote. So I sit here and I think
(08:50):
about that, and you know,I think I think that's a good point
here that how do you justify this? Like I said, there's a chance
that they go out of their wayto do a victory lap and say,
hey, the government is doing theyeoman's work making sure that people stay safe.
But I think the response has tobe how did these people get into
our country? And the answer isthey came in as the illegal immigrants.
(09:11):
They were not vetted until they didsome operations to get more intelligence about these
people, and then over the lastfew days have gone out and found these
eight and detained them, arrested themfor being connected to ISIS and potentially being
terrorists. To Djigistan is it kindof straddles the northeast corner of Afghanistan.
(09:33):
It also borders I'm going to tryto say these names, right, k
y r g y z st An So Kurjikistan, kyrgyzstanis Krgyzstan, and
then Uzbekistan. Yeah, a lotof Stan Circumenistan. So it's firmly entrenched
in the Middle East there and Ilet me just zoom out here. I
(09:56):
do, And okay, I thinkthat's China that borders to the west,
China all the way over there.Yeah, really, let me see there's
why are there so many Stans? This is this is what I'm trying to
figure out. Man, China isgigantic, isn't it? It is wild?
Yeah, so it's yeah, it'sjust landlocked in there, isn't it.
(10:16):
Then you got Pakistan. Why arethere so many stans? Can we
can we do some ricon on thattoo, Kazakhstan, Kurdyistan, use Pekistan,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, all all just nestled in border
on each other in between Iran andChina. Some beautiful mountain landscape in Tajikistan.
(10:39):
Yeah, I'm seeing some topography there. They have a tojik National Park.
Now looks it's pretty pretty interesting desertlandscape, lakes, grasslands, but
also apparently ties to Isis. Iwant to ask you this, Matt.
Let's say I'm giving you ten thousanddollars for a two week long vacation.
(11:01):
Okay, you can go anywhere inthe world. And when they say anywhere
in the world, you know thecatches. I have to choose the spot
for you and you have to sayyeah your nay. Oh. If I
said I will send you to Tajikistan, I'll give you ten thousand dollars to
make the trip. You have tostay there for a week and you can
keep any money that you have afterwards. Okay, gonna spend a week in
(11:24):
Tajikistan. I'd want to do alittle bit of recon first. But I
think the answer is yes, Ithink that looks like a kind of place
you could probably have them up amoderately cheap vacation to enjoy some beautiful scenery.
Yeah, and most of these countriesgenerally you're not seeing like a lot
of like burning violence stuff all thetime. Right, Like, we know
that they have some weird things thatare going on there. The one problem
(11:46):
that you might have is if theysomehow get stuck in a war or something
they don't want to let you leave. That would be your problem, right,
the Brittany Grinder situation. Right. And you know it's just like,
oh, American, let's find somethingto be able to keep them there.
It's two twenty six, and weappreciate you for listening to us and being
(12:07):
a part of our show today. The bigger issue with this, obviously is
going to be how we as individuals, we as Americans respond to this in
turn. Right, we have anumber of different politicians who are of the
Republican variety mostly, who are goingto really hammer home the fact that this
(12:28):
is what happens when you have anopen border, and not just because they
want to make Joe Biden look bad, but definitely because they want to make
sure all of us understand what's atstake, so in the future people aren't
advocating for free and open borders.I think that the compromise is well,
if people are trying to cross intoour nation, we should allow an easier
(12:50):
path to citizenship and make it alittle bit easier for people to do that.
At the same time, I thinkit is also important that you know
we have people properly vetted at ourborder, because if you look at European
countries and a lot of these MiddleEastern and Asian countries, you're gonna have
a lot of these situations where you'regonna have people uh stopping you, vetting
(13:11):
you and not even letting you in, depending on what your purpose would be
there. Of course, time isgoing to tell on that. I don't
know if their rules are nearly aslack a day'sicle as ours have been for
the last three and a half years. We'll take your calls next if you
want to call us. Four ohtwo, five, five, eight,
eleven, ten, two twenty sevenis the time, and it's news Radio
