Speaker 1 (00:00):
Could we have done better than that? Maybe it was
close thirty four to three, right, it was like right
on the line of what that spread was.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Right. How do you feel about the Huskers? You gotta
feel pretty good, don't you, I think.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
So.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
I didn't catch the game, but I did kind of
like see the final score and heard a little bit
about it, and just from what I understand, it was
kind of just a lunch pale sort of just go
out there and win it kind of thing, you know,
no style points, you know, one thing that I thought of,
And again I'm not speaking from someone who actually watched
the game, So I just thought of this over the
weekend when I was listening to a pod wrapping it up.
(00:36):
Matt Ruhle said he wanted to basically kind of be
Michigan out there in Nebraska. The way Michigan plays, they
don't really go for style points. They just kind of
ground and pound. They are no frills kind of deal.
They just want a national title, yeah, or whatever that's worth. Right,
So I mean, we need to go steal some signs,
you know, that got them there.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
But they.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
They won the thing after they got in trouble, right,
son can't really count that as something that helped necessarily right,
all right, But yeah, I think that I just thought
about that. This start of the season kind of looks
like that. It's like there's nothing that you really say,
whoa this team is, you know, gonna beat the whole
world or anything, but they just they just kind of solid.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, it's gonna be fun to see them get into
a conference play and a little bit. We'll talk about
them obviously as we get into the five o'clock hour,
and then we'll also talk in just a little bit
about more information regarding the Haitian migrants eating pets in Springfield.
Got to bring this back up. Today's also my last
day for a couple of weeks going to Spain the
(01:40):
and door, so I'll probably touch on that a little
bit because, you know what, my brain's a little bit scattered.
I mean, I'm be a pro here. We're going to
talk about stuff that matters to everyone. But you know,
when you ever have being on like the eve of
a big trip or something, you're just kind of like
your brain's just kind of there, you know what I mean.
Like sometimes it happens to be on a Friday, it's
just like, oh yeah, weekend it's hard to stay locked
(02:02):
and loaded, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Yeah, you got a lot on your mind. You got
to make sure you got everything before you go.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
You're always thinking about you know, that flight, just making
sure it's on time and you know, fingers crossed that
you don't have any travel issues.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, so I got that going on. We'll talk about
that later.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I'm sure he saw the news though, that there was
a guy with an AK forty seven five hundred yards
or so away from Trump at one of his golf courses,
a golf course that Trump was playing at, the Trump
International Golf Club. And I gotta tell you, this guy
seems to be absolutely insane. His name is Ryan Wesley Routh.
(02:38):
He's fifty nine years old. We're not sure if he
got shots off or not. We talked like that, everybody's
talking about shots being heard, trying to figure out specifically.
But yeah, they saw the barrel of the weapon, and
he was at the sixth hole or thereabouts, and Trump
was at the fifth hole. He's on his way there
(02:58):
right about five hundred yards away from him at the
time he was apprehended. So timing could not have been
better here. But deputies surround the vehicle. They now have
released bodycam footage which I've been watching, and I gotta
tell you, this is the kind of guy that I
just don't know how a person like this has an
AK forty seven. So Ralph fled the golf course. It
(03:21):
was security service agents that had pulled their guns and
they spotted the muzzle of his rifle through the chain
link fence and he was short arrested a short time
later after a witness shared a photo of his vehicle
with authorities, they were able to get catch.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Up to him.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
He was about two miles away when they officially apprehended him,
and sheriff said, I think he might have thought that
he got away with it. What we're learning about him
is that this guy is like he was wearing the
shackles and the jail scrubs and everything in his first
court appearance this morning. And we don't have cameras because
(03:59):
they're not from added inside federal court hearing regarding charges
of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon possession
of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. And he's smiling,
he's laughing, he's answering all the questions. He's you know,
really engaged, and I gotta tell you, like, is this
not the scariest type of joker type villain that you
(04:21):
could imagine. Now they're going back and they're saying, this
guy voted for Trump in sixteen, he was supportive of
of a veak Ramaswami Nikki Haley ticket. This time around,
he's a super fan of Elon Musk. You don't have
to guess how long it took for his entire x
account to be wiped off the face of the earth.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Pretty fast. As soon as this was discovered. Oh that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
It's like Elon's I want no one to find out
about this guy.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Well, that kind of goes against every reason. He says
he bought the platform when it's.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Not good for you. Look what happens.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Oh but SpaceX right right right, Starlatt, look at SpaceX.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Looks over there. Don't look over there. To space based
bas X, SpaceX is successful. I understand too.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
He may have been asked by authorities to remove it
before people, you know, start to like mess with it
or people try to hack into it or something. I'm
sure he still has access to all of the information,
and I'm not trying to don't jump to conclusions here,
but he's a noted big fan of Elon Musk. So
what makes a fifty eight year old guy get to
this point where apparently there's also some videos out there
(05:28):
where he's, you know, going around and trying to tell people,
you know, trying he's one of those guys that's out
there recruiting people by handing out brochures and saying, hey,
you know, read this, Our riots are endangered and all
this stuff, and the system is about to get us
kind of thing right, And you're just trying to figure
out what's going on in a guy's brain that dedicates
his life all of a sudden to this sort of thing.
(05:50):
And all due respect to everyone who's incredibly politically active,
I'm not here to try to clown on that, but
I'm just saying that when you get so into it
like this, is there a point where there's a jumping
off point where it feels like you're helpless and there's
nothing you can do, and if your candidate loses, then
you feel like the world is against you and there's
no way out. I mean, I gotta tell you that
(06:11):
that's that's some controllable behavior. You don't have to feel
that way about this stuff. This guy apparently did at
some point, and I don't know if his age has
anything to do with it. I've seen certainly crazy people
who are around our age, and I definitely know that
you can make the argument that the twenty year old
that tried to kill Donald Trump and Pennsylvania he was
(06:31):
crazy too, So age isn't really.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Part of the deal.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
I guess my bigger thing was, this guy doesn't have
like a huge laundry list of reasons why you would
think that he is nuts, except for in very recent years.
And then his son apparently says, it doesn't sound like
my dad. Are we sure about that? Either way? We'll
take some thoughts on this if you want to call
(06:57):
in four two five five eight eleven ten.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
I don't really know what we can talk about with this.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
I just know that this is disturbing, and if you've
got some thoughts about it, you can call in at
four h two five five eight eleven ten and we'll
talk more about this coming up next News Radio eleven
ten KFAB and.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
Raise Songer on news Radio eleven ten KFAB.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Assassination attempt is what you know? I don't know if
there's any other thing that we can call it.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
And this seemingly unhinged man fifty eight years old with
an AK forty seven. He was just kind of loitering
nearby Donald Trump about a hole ahead of him on
his Trump International Golf Club course in Florida, before being
seen and then apprehended as he tried to escape. Phone
(07:45):
lines are open at four h two five five, eight
eleven ten. Carlton's on the line. Carlton, what are your
thoughts on what we're talking about here today?
Speaker 7 (07:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (07:53):
I say, you know, when you open the show, you
had made the comments essentially alluding to I don't even
know how this is the type of person that can
get a hold of a gun like that, And I
just wanted to ask you personally, what did you mean
by that comment? Because he wasn't supposed to have a
gun in the first place.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Oh is that right?
Speaker 8 (08:15):
Well, a convicted fella, you made that point.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Sure, and so you know that.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, Okay, I guess I didn't put the two and
two together. That's my mistake, Carlton. You got to forgive me.
I'm not I'm not a judge or anything, but you're right.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
So we shouldn't have had this gun, So what do
you know? Like how he's like, do you do you
know how he got this gun?
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Well, it's pretty obvious.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
And then long standing is long as humans have been
alive that criminals don't follow laws. But the second point
I wanted to make to your your your sidekick there
was you guys kind of piled on Elon Musk and
said that he had wiped his profile from X but
the same thing happened on Facebook, and you know, obviously
Zuckerberg's company company did the same thing, and this is
(09:00):
pretty standard procedure anytime an event like this happens. I
was just wondering why you guys both made us play
at Elon Musk as well.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
He's just the point of Okay, So it's obvious Carlton
that you just called in to just like, you know,
be combative.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
And that's fine, you know, if this is how.
Speaker 8 (09:15):
I asked the question.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, and my answer to your question is my answer
to your question, Carlton, if that's your real name, is
that Elon Musk. He was a huge fan of Elon Musk,
a massive fan, Like, like, what we know about this guy?
And I'm not going to pretend like I'm some guy,
some kind of expert on this guy. I only knew
he exists for basically twenty four hours right now.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
So I'm what you talked about. You guys, go ahead
and kill Carlton on the you know, on the phone.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
We don't need like if he's just going to keep
talking over me, like, that's totally fine, That's totally fine.
I just don't have to like the like, this is
not good radio for anybody who's listening. So I'm not
a big fan of what Elon Musk has done to
social media. I'm not a big fan of the way
that Elon Musk has gone about things. Elon Musk even
on his social media account yesterday making things worse by
saying stuff like, well, no one's even trying to attempt
(10:05):
Kamala Harris or Tim Walls. Yeah, because that's gonna help
saying well nobody's even trying to attempt those guys. Okay,
what is that supposed to mean? So yeah, I have
him been a big fan of how Elon Musk is
operating his social media platform. That's how I feel about it.
And I'm Carlton. If that happens to be your real name.
I'm not sure it is, but I appreciate you for
calling in and having you know, your entire point basically
(10:28):
was to come on and try to be combative with us.
We got plenty of other people that are trying to
call in. Let's see if there's more constructivity to these calls.
Mark's on our phone line at four h two five five,
eight eleven ten. Mark, welcome to our show today. What's
on your mind?
Speaker 5 (10:41):
Yeah, So the question I have is this event was
not scheduled and if he read the latest report show
that I.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
Guess he was in the bushes since one am waiting,
So how in the world would he have that information?
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Oh? Yeah, I mean that's a good question.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
I mean, and that and how did they not notice
him since one am? They have no flare cameras, no,
nothing like that, they don't.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, I guess Mark my bigger service.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Well, again, if we're going to be the camera thing,
I definitely think that you're onto something there, like wouldn't
somebody have seen something like this, or you know, notice
that there is a person that you know is loitering
in a different spot. The thing about a golf course, though, Mark,
is the layout is very interesting, uh, And it covers
(11:42):
a lot of space, right, So like the where he
was located at, like the sixth hole is what they say.
The sixth hole is going to be pretty far away
from where the clubhouse would be in any buildings. So
you know, I'm not an expert on the layout of
this particular golf course, but there are golf courses where
that's about. It's far away from actual you know, golf,
and there's there's a good chance that most golf employees
wouldn't have even thought to go on the perimeter of
(12:04):
where you know, the sixth whole for instance, might have
been right.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
But a drone with a player camera on it wouldn't
picked up anybody, any warm body sitting out there.
Speaker 7 (12:16):
So wouldn't they have flown that around the.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Golf course a little bit before they?
Speaker 7 (12:21):
Well, have you noticed somebody's sitting on the fence?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
You would think with Donald Trump being in an one
when when Donald Trump is in an open air area,
especially after the first assassination attempt, you would think that
they would do everything they could no matter where he's at,
whether it's a campaign event or him just wanting to
golf eighteen holes, you would think that they would secure
the perimeter. Mark, there's no doubt about that I agree on, and.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
That that's it. I definitely appreciate the Secret Service guy
taking the shot.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
You know what I mean, not waiting for and you.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Know, do something. And I'm sure that Secret Service they
could probably only had a handgun yep, the one that
was fitting out there at you know, Cole six. But
at least he you know, taking a shot. He definitely
alerted everybody else without having to make a radio.
Speaker 7 (13:09):
Communication, you know.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah, no, and that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I will be interested to see if there's more information
about this that comes out, Mark about exactly.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Why this person was kind of the.
Speaker 7 (13:21):
News out now says that his cell phone was on
site from one am until the time this is the
service took the shot.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Right.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Well, again, Mark, I would say that he's he might
be on site, but there's maybe, Uh, I'm going to
give like the golf people as much of a benefit
of the doubt as possible, because like, who's to say,
there's just not like a car parked there some of
the time anyway, right, it's just like located at a
very specific spot. Now, how did this guy know he
(13:51):
was going to be golf in eighteen at this particular
golf course at this time and then knowing that he's
out there.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
I would love to know that too.
Speaker 5 (13:59):
Yeah, all that the topic of the day is how
he knew that Trump was going to be there that
was not on his schedule.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, it's something something we're talking about for sure. Mark,
thanks for the call today. Thanks for being a part
of our show.
Speaker 9 (14:10):
Hey have a great day.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yep, you too.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Love to talk to people as we discover more about
this and to chat about what is most I guess
concerning through this situation. As fifty eight year old man
made his first course court appearance today after yesterday being
apprehended as he had brought an AK forty seven to
essentially the perimeter of a golf course with the idea
(14:35):
it seems to try to take out Donald Trump twenty
seven to twenty seven. If you want to call in,
you can four two, five, five eight, eleven ten and
it's news radio eleven ten.
Speaker 6 (14:44):
Kfab Emery's songer on news Radio eleven ten.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
Kfab it's all that hairsprayed from the eighties. I think
that caused it, right, All.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
They're like hairs holes in the ozone and now I
was reading this one thing that the ozone is like
stronger now than it ever was before because we're so
like yeah, because we're so like.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Ever like in the modern era, like ever since measured.
I'm guessing yeah, yeah, of course, yeah, I'm just making
a qualification there. Well, I'm I'm apparently like mixing my
words up just enough today that I have multiple emails.
I have multiple emails of people just like, are you
sure you meant to say what you said? It's like, no,
not really, I guess you know, it's I was using
these terms kind of loosely, not literally, but I can
(15:26):
see why everybody takes things so literally. Anyway, Yeah, I
was reading this thing, and I don't know, I haven't
done enough research on no scientists, but they said, the
reason we're having such problems with you know, like greenhouse
gases and global rising of temperatures is because it's harder
for a lot of the air to escape the atmosphere
because of the ozone being as strong as it is.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Oh, so, like, yeah, we want to preserve the ozone
layer to help protect us from you know, the sun
frying us, but at the same time, we've made theo
zone layer stronger now, and there is reason to believe
that some of the surface temperatures being warmer than they
have been. As that goes up, it's to blame for
us over preserving the ozone layer to a point where
(16:11):
the air just can't escape, you know what I mean,
like the greenhouse gases, you know what I'm saying, the
greenhouse effect, greenhouse effect, you know what I mean kind
of thing.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
So, yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I'll let you guys take it up with whomever your
personal political affiliations tell you should ask about something like that,
and I'm sure you're just going to be affirmed just
to whatever you think is one true usually how that
goes Yeah, I mean, it's the unfortunate part of you know,
doing what we do is you know, I could tell
you how I feel about it, and I can tell
you what I know about it, and that doesn't necessarily
(16:44):
mean that people are going to believe that to be fact.
There's just so many facts, if you will here these days.
And this kind of goes right into my next point. Matt,
I sent you some clips here of His name is
Mike the Line. He's the governor of Ohio. He happens
to be a Republican. I mentioned this because you're about
to hear him answer a question he was interviewed by
(17:07):
ABC News, And trust me, I know people who are
Republicans or conservative have rightly so some qualms about the
reporting of ABC News in the way that they go
about things. But it's a question being asked to Mike DeWine,
a Republican governor of Ohio, and he is being asked
(17:27):
point blank about the Springfield, Ohio situation. He's the governor
of the state. I would trust that he would know
what's going on. Well, let's see what he has to
say on Network national television yesterday morning as he is
asked about the latest news and rumors swirling around the
location the city of Springfield, Ohio. This again is Ohio Governor,
(17:52):
Republican Mike DeWine.
Speaker 10 (17:54):
And here's a question I never thought I would have
to ask.
Speaker 11 (17:56):
But do you see any evidence, as governor of this
state that Haitian immigrants are eating pets?
Speaker 12 (18:04):
No?
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 10 (18:06):
That's what the mayor said, That's what the chief of
police has said. I think it's unfortunate that this came up.
Let me tell you what we do know, though. What
we know is that the Haitians who are in Springfield
are legal. They came to Springfield to work. Ohio's on
the move, and Springfield has really made a great resurgence
(18:26):
with a lot of companies coming in. These Haitians came
in to work for these companies. What the companies tell
us is that they are very good workers. They're very
happy to have them there, and frankly, that's helped the economy. Now,
are there problems connected, Well, sure, when you go from
a population of fifty eight thousand and add fifteen thousand
(18:47):
people onto that, you're going to have some challenges and
some problems, and we're addressing those. We're working on those
every single day. Primary care is essential. The other thing
we're working a lot on is driving. We have Haitians who,
frankly many times have not driven before. We need to
do get more drivers training and we're working on that.
(19:09):
So these are things that we are working on. Springfield
is moving forward. I've always felt that as the governor
of the state of Ohio, you know, we want people
who want to come here, who are legal where they
come from another state or another country, want to work.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
So Governor, I'll back it here. Okay, So I mean Matt,
what say you here? Does that sound like a guy
who's trying to protect his state and say that, hey,
this wouldn't be happening under my watch, or a guy
that's saying the things that he is truly being told.
Because in politics you have to ask that question too.
It's like, well, is he protecting his state? Even if
(19:49):
he's a Republican, you know, it behooves him for people
not to think this is happening under his watch in
the state of Ohio.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
I'm not there, so I can only trust the trusted
representatives who.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
A And he cited a couple of sources, the mayor
and the chief of police of Springfield, that have told
him that's not happening.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Right, And what's the other side? Source?
Speaker 4 (20:09):
A Twitter account with an anime picture for the profile
pick Like, I mean, you know what I'm saying, Like, Yeah,
this is why authoritative news sources are important, regardless of
how we feel about that.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Yeah, And I understand why people would believe a lot
of that stuff because jd Vance also has lent credence
into that and he's an Ohio guy as well, and
I think it's important to hear from him on the matter.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
So jd Vance.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I think this is the This was probably halfway or
closer to the end of an interview. But again you'll
have to deal with CNN because jd Vance appeared shortly thereafter,
or you know, he was on ccen it. Let's just
say that, and it's him and Dana Bash. Dana Bash,
of course, you know, seeing in we understand that this
(20:54):
may not be the perfect person to be asking these
questions to jd Vance. But this is a very strange
back and forth here as jd Vance is kind of
confronted about this, these stories and the way that you know,
the reason that people are talking about them and about Springfield,
Ohio in general is because of this stuff that was
(21:16):
brought to the table on a national level by jd
Vance and Donald Trump. Here is jd Vance talking to
Dana Bash on CNN about this as well.
Speaker 11 (21:24):
Just once and for all, you again started this in
part by saying that at which Donald Trump repeated on
the debate stage that, and he didn't say anything about
the policies that you're talking about. He just said patients
are eating dogs and cats. Can you affirmatively say now
that that is a rumor that has no base basis.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
With evidence, Dana.
Speaker 13 (21:52):
The evidence is the first hand account of my constituents
who are telling me that this happened. And by the way,
I've been trying to talk about the albums in Springfield
for months and the American media ignored it. There was
a congressional hearing just last week of angel moms who
lost children because Kamala Harris let criminal migrants into this
country who then murdered their children. The American media totally
(22:14):
ignored this stuff until Donald Trump and I start talking
about cat memes.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
If I have to.
Speaker 13 (22:21):
Create stories so that the American media actually pays attention
to the suffering of the American people, then that's what
I'm going to do, Dana, because you guys are completely
letting Kamala Harris coast. You had one interview with her.
You talk about pushing back against me, Dana, you didn't
push back against the fact that she casts the deciding
vote on the Inflation Reduction Act, which is why a
(22:42):
lot of Americans can't afford food and housing.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
You just said that you're creating about public policy.
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Oh, they're staring at each other. Wait for it, Just
wait for it.
Speaker 11 (22:52):
Sorry, you just said that you're creating the story. Is that, Dana,
you just said that this is a story that you
created than the eating dog.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
We are not we are creating. We are, Dana.
Speaker 13 (23:05):
It comes from first hand accounts from my constituents. I
say that we're creating a story, meaning we're creating the
American media focusing on it. I didn't create twenty thousand
illegal migrants coming into Springfield thanks to Kamala Harris's policies.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Her policies did that.
Speaker 13 (23:20):
But yes, we created the actual focus that allowed the
American media to talk about this story and the suffering
caused by Kamala Harris's policies.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
That's jd Vance on CNN with Dana Bash yesterday morning. Look,
I mean that was pretty point blank and it's awkward.
I give him credit and kudos one hundred percent for
hopping on CNN to try to explain this kind of thing,
But is it doing any good to basically come out
and say, yeah, I have a few first hand accounts.
(23:53):
I mean, were there were first hand accounts of people's
constituents all over the country that are going to be
saying crazy things about stuff that's happening. Again, I don't
know if somebody decided they were going to eat a
cat from a next door neighbor and just like abduct
their cat so they could eat it. Okay, I know
that eating cats and dogs is something that many cultures
around this world do. Ours isn't one of them, so
(24:15):
it is a little bit stunning for us to have
to think about that.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
But that's to me, it's.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Pretty interesting to hear him basically straight up say yeah,
we put the focus on the cats and the dogs thing,
because then we'll have the opportunity to talk about illegal
immigration in the different light, even though the governor of
Ohio basically straight up said that these are legal migrants.
So I don't know if you got thoughts on this
(24:42):
in this exchange you could call this at four roh
two five five eight eleven ten.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
What does this change like?
Speaker 10 (24:47):
It?
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Does this change anything to you? And is it perturbing
you that it feels like the Republicans are shooting themselves
in the foot with some of this stuff. I'd love
to hear from you at four h two five five
eight eleven ten on news Radio eleven ten Kfab and.
Speaker 6 (24:59):
Mary's Songer on news Radio eleven ten KFAB.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Sensational cat and dog eating stuff going on in my
state of Ohio. It's not happening in Springfield, and all
of the Haitian migrants that are there are there to work,
and they are there legally. Jd Vance says, look, these
are illegal people, and you know, kind of doubled down
on it and said, yeah, we kind of created the
narrative about the cats and the dogs. But at least
people are talking about it, and I got to say,
(25:27):
you know, there's some value to that as well. But again,
most of it is unfortunately getting thrown in their face
that they have been saying in a different way, and
they basically saying, hey, you know, if you're a Democrat,
you're saying this is the crazy stuff that Republicans do,
and that unfortunately could end up really costing independent support
(25:47):
for the Republicans. Man, I just want your thoughts on it.
Four L two, five, five, eight, eleven, tens a number
my emails also open Emory at KFB dot com.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
On the phone.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
We have DJ dj Thinks for the call today. What
do you think about this?
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Well, you know, here's the thing. I absolutely agree with
you that it's getting thrown in the face of Republicans. Unfortunately,
a lot of younger folks who tend to lean more
liberal are throwing this all over the place. They're making
songs about eating dogs and cats. They're using Trump's voice.
It's not helping Republicans with the younger vote. And that's
for sure.
Speaker 9 (26:21):
This is the first presidential election I'm able to vote in,
and Trump has my vote, and I leave it up
to the people who decide whether Haitians in Springfield, Ohio
or actually eating dogs and cats.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
But it is a really crappy situation to be it.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah, So I got to wonder DJ at this point,
what would you be telling if you could give some
advice as a younger voter to the Republican Party. How
can they kind of rectify the way that the younger
generations are seeing them instead of you know, clowning on
them like this. What can they do to try to
help heal this in the next six weeks.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
You know, that's a really hard question to answer, to
be honest, you know, I if I had to give the.
Speaker 12 (27:03):
Best advice I could, I would say that they need
to find ways to be more appealing to younger voters.
I would say a lot of younger voters want change.
They want to be able to buy a house. They
want to be able to afford food when they have
their own place, and a lot of my generation gen
Z is that's kind of the field we're heading into now.
And I think what they want is they don't want
(27:26):
a nominee to talk about, you know, stories they may
not believe or not believe or can't be confirmed. What
they want to hear is that I might be able
to afford a house, I might be able to afford food.
I might be able to live the American dream.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
If that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Yeah, one hundred percent makes sense. Cjay, thanks for calling
in man call again sometime.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Of course, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yeah, I mean it's a good it's a good idea.
You're going need to start really winning with those younger
generations if you ever want to make a have a
chance to, you know, take over all of the different
levels in the federal government. Got a couple of emails
here I wanted to read first of all, at AJ sorry,
AJ said there's no citizens on video, and I sill
(28:09):
the council mean he's complaining about it. These politicians are
lying to cover their behinds. They made that edit there
as usual. To me, I understand that, And that was
why The first question I asked was when we heard
from the Republican governor of Ohio saying this isn't happening.
These are legal migrants from Haiti kind of thing. Trying
(28:32):
to explain all of that, I think there's it's an
interesting way that you can get into this conversation, I think,
in a delicate manner without having brought up the cats
and the dogs. And I think that in and of itself,
for the governor of Ohio, he wants to make sure
that people don't look at his state and say, under
his leadership, this state's gone all the heck, there is
(28:55):
value to him saying, hey, that's not actually happening and
they are legal, even if it's not helping his political party.
