Speaker 1 (00:00):
It was like we were we were sitting at like
eighty eight and we had like eighty seven or eighty
eight or hotter for like a week, and I was like,
I saw it on the forecast, like there's no way
we're surviving a week. Let's flip that bad boy on.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, that would have been a tough ride to ride
out that string of days there. So I've flipped it
on for those days. I've since turned it off and
have not turned it back on since probably last week, right, yeah,
sometime last week, Like today is like perfect, just have
a window open, yeah, you know, and you're looking at
a string of days here where I mean, we're gonna

(00:32):
stay in the sixties. It gets a little chilly at night.
I have not turned the heater on either, so I'm
definitely waking up and it's kind of chilly. But that's
what a good old blanket's for. Yeah, So I mean
I'm probably looking at I'm looking at the week forecast
here this Wednesday to next next Wednesday's the highest seventy three.
That's as hot as it's gonna get in this seven
day forecast. So it's gonna be a bit until the

(00:55):
ac needs to be turned back on.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, I pop it into the seventies at the earliest
next Wednesday. So yeah, And of course the forecast can
be malleable. And there's quite a bit of rain here too,
which also I think is we don't you have the
windows shut when it's raining. You pot that window up
right after the rain hits and you can kind of
smell smell that spring rain. Still. Oh yeah, Oh, that's

(01:19):
that's some good stuff. That's some good stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I love having a window that is tucked far enough
under an underhand.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Can have it open while it's raining.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
That's the best.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah. Yeah, now you're talking my language. Not that I'm
cheering for more rain because we've had quite a bit
of it here lately. Well not as much. I mean
I was in Central iow when they got a lot.
We didn't get that much two days ago, right, I
mean it was it was storming over there.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Might not have gotten as much as other parts did,
for sure, we didn't really have the storms here that
even places up by Columbus North Bend or on those
parts had, But we definitely I'll say this, I live
pretty close to the Keystone Trail. Oh nice. I kind
of keep tabs on how much rain we're getting by
what that trail was looking at. Early at the very

(02:04):
beginning of spring, we had that those real rainy days
and the creek by the trail was looking pretty good.
And I noticed last weekend walking by, I was thinking, like, man,
these Canadian geese on here are struggling, you know, not
much water to go around. And then I took a
walk yesterday evening and it was looking pretty good.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, it's interesting how that works. Those Canada geese though. Man,
they are They're resilient.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
They are, and it's nice to go a place to
see them where they have plenty of room themselves. So
they're not, you know, messing around with my turf because
they can get a little They're they're pretty territorial, a
little feisty. Yeah, they are territorial, that is for sure.
All right, So we got ourselves.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
There's a few different things that you can you can
bank on, right, and that's you know, potentially your air
conditioner might be having just a little bit of trouble.
I talked in the past about you know, like scratsky
for instance, like you know, for your ah HVAC. It's
one thing, you know, what I had, I turned it
on and that's why I brought it up. And it's

(03:07):
got this really high pitched squeak to it, and I
went down there just to kind of investigate where that's
coming from, and you know, like I pushed like some
pressure up against kind of the edge and it stopped.
So I think I just need some like WD forty
to handle one of those issues on like the screws,
because I think that's just what's squeaking. Maybe it's like
a rusty screw or something. I don't know if you've

(03:29):
ever had that with like an HVAC system that you've had,
it's just like it's making a weird noise and sometimes
you just need to clean it. I know, remember that
snowstorm that brought like that red dust that was underneath
the snow when we like shoveled. It was just like, man,
this is gross and a messy. I was talking to
one of our coworkers and said, I know a few
people who thought they had a major issue with their

(03:50):
HVAC system and all they needed to do was do
a quick power wash and it actually ended up working
fine after that. So I don't know, it's just one
of those things, you know. And I always tell experts
because I think it's important. I don't know, I'm not
an expert on everything, so it's important to get some
experts on so, you know, like somebody like Scratskey would
be somebody that I would call to, you know, help

(04:10):
out if I was having a problem that I couldn't
really resolve. And yeah, I know they do some incredible
and amazing work, but there's no doubt that Omaha has
a good selection of people like that that are interested in,
you know, helping you have the most comfortable home that
you possibly can have, because it's not going to be
a nice sixty five degrees every single day that we
can just kind of open the window and enjoy obviously,

(04:32):
so enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to call an expert.
