(00:00):
Let's do this, sass in yourshape ups. I wake up every morning
Boston's only classic rock morning show.I look at myself at the mirror and
I go Bybam Dreamer ab I awakedreaming Namos Leek with Pete McKenzie. I'm
still vomit before every show other Ford, I feel dirty and unsatisfied. And
Kenny Young, yeah's get crazy. In other words, I'm crazy on one

(00:26):
hundred point seven. I want youto go hard, fast heavy. You're
too it. Here's to the future, will you see, Alex. They're
just so magical. Yeah. Yeah, Well we've been called worse. I'll
take magical five point thirty on thenose. How about that time keepers?
Uh, this is Wednesday, Apriltenth forty two. Out's Kenny Young,

(00:48):
good morning. Don't listen to him. He's not a virgin messiah. He's
more like the patron saint of orgies. I have never been to an orgy.
I've never been invited to an orgy. I've seen an orgy room.
Yeah, oh really, like it'sjust all mattresses. We've both very confined.
Well maybe one window. I don'tknow if there are windows or if

(01:11):
they were covered. You know becausethere seemed to be windows from the outside,
but pure pillows Kenny, no mattress, strategically placed shoe box, pillows,
No, just a box. Therewas no table boxes. Were an
orgy for it? Well, Idon't. I don't know what you needed
before. I don't know. It'sjust pillow. Have you never had clean
us after an orgy? I've neverbeen in an or What kind of orgies

(01:34):
are you doing? The kind oforgies where people are I'm not doing any
kind of orges, just taking careof themselves. Yeah, I guess all
listen, I got enough to worryabout where myself and the wife. I
don't need to be worrying about whethereveryone else. You like, you might
want to do some orgy research now, But we've seen an orgy room.
I've never been in an orgy.People used it after we left probably no

(01:59):
we were. They used it formeditation. I mean, unless I see
visual evidence. I you know, they can tell me whatever they want.
Ah, right, you know, believe everything I hear? Uh that Well,
I kind of believed that because ofwhat I saw before I left.
But yeah, that would Yeah, you know what I'm saying, I do
send me a videol and then I'llsay, oh, yeah, he had
an orgy after Oh no, Idon't think there was an orgy. There's

(02:20):
just two people. I heard therewas just two. I thought you said
they had an orgy after No,no, I said they used the room
after we left. Okay, notfor an orgy, but for just one
on one time. Get one onone with Heather Ford this morning. Okay,
look at me. You got eyeswith me. You're gonna go first.
You over there, you got eyeswith me, You're gonna go a
second. You come first. Igot the gloves on, I got people

(02:43):
doing what I'm saying. Everything isrun. That's like what it's like to
be a teacher. Eyes on me, eyes on the prize, and Pete
McKenzie, eye on the prize.Hi there, that's right. I'm pretty
unique working. I know. I'msorry to break your heart. Doctors.
Yeah, six three one one sevenare number high five thirty club members.

(03:07):
We welcome you to check in viathe text line wzlex and your message send
it to seven oh four seven oh. The iHeartRadio app. It's a free
download. It features a red microphoneand you can click on that, leave
us a message and hit send We'llget you on the radio. Visited one
of my favorite places for sushi lastnight. Ooh and uh it's a lotus

(03:30):
blossom Mountain, Sudbury. Just greatbartender Denny, love him, working his
ass off. He was the onlybartender. He's the one that's given me
stock quotes in the past. Hedidn't even have time to have a discussion
about stock quotes. Yes, theywere so busy, nice. But what
I found fascinating was we got ourfirst we got our drinks in plastic cups,

(03:51):
which I was like, okay ata bar the inside, yeah,
and then the plates that came wereplastic, and the utensils were the dishwasher
broken. They are getting their septicsystem replaced. Oh yeah, I was.
But it was like out of it. I mean, there's no explanation,
you know what I mean, You'rejust all of a sudden getting plastic
nice unless yeah, they wouldn't havejust come out and say, you know,

(04:15):
with the gold leaf rim was itthe fancy plastic was gold gold leaf
rim around the cups. You knowat the grocery store, the fork spoons
and knives that are like silver goldAnd am I going to class up this
picnic or am I going white exactly? Have you seen the plastic disposable plates?
They look like China, Yes,that's some of them. Even have

(04:36):
the silver ring around the room. That's what these were gold, you know,
gold silver ring around the rim onthe inside and then around the rim
on the outside of the plastic YEAclass cups. Were the cups fancy too
or just clear plastic? No?I said the cups had a gold leaf
around the rim as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And even the
well, the utensils looked you know, they had they were bigger than normal.

(04:58):
They weren't white, you know, they were like clear yeah, right,
oh, the clear ones, notthe goldens. Here's the real question.
If you had ordered a martini, would you have gotten a plastic martini
glass? That's a good question.Could you order a martini? Do make
those? I know I've I neverordered martini there? Could they make amazing?
My ties? A couple of myties? Yeah? The sushi was
plastic. Everything was everything was plastic. Stunsticks were plastic. Chances are that

(05:25):
the inside the sushi, inside thefish, right, there's pieces of plastic
and all of our fish. Sothere was probably a theme that you didn't
want to run through that. I'vecome to accept the fact that everything we
eat can make us ill in someway. There's nothing we can eat,
not even just ill. It's justthe little particles of things that go into
us and just create things inside. And that's you know, like I mentioned

(05:46):
before the show, we're covered inskin for a reason because so we can't
see what's going on inside, becauseit's all ugly awesomes. Like watching sausage
being made, you know, Idon't need to know what's on the I'll
watch sausage being I will not watchchicken nuggets being made anymore. I will
not watch chicken patties being made anymore. I will not watch all sorts of
things where you think there's a shapethat's supposed to be there, but it's

(06:09):
not natural and they've just made agoo out of something. I won't ever
watch hot dogs being made. Ilove them grilled up delicious in the summertime,
but I will never watch hot dogsbeing made because I know it's just
like a slurry, like a bigSo the chicken nuggets, ash, can
we trust the chicken nuggets that actuallyhave strands of meat and look like chicken,

(06:30):
or those okay, because I knowit, like you know a chicken
nugget that you get from certain restaurants. Fast food restaurants are a slurry that
they've made shapes. Yes, yes, did I ever tell you the one?
But can we trust the ones thathappen know that look like meat?
There's probably parts you can't trust that. When I was in college, I
don't even want to say her name, because she's a very unique name and

(06:50):
I loved her to death. Butduring our breaks in between classes, we
would go grab some McDonald's because thatwas her favorite, and she would always
get chicken nuggets, okay, AndI would be like, I'll get a
cheeseburger, and she would say intothe loudspeaker, like when you're saying,
she goes only the dark meat nuggets. And I'm like all right. And
I didn't know to think any different. This was in like nineteen ninety six.

(07:13):
I know, here's how she thoughtit worked. So in nineteen ninety
six, we didn't have the internetsthe way we do now, and you
weren't watching videos of chicken nuggets beingmade, and maybe some people thought they
were made of actual like chicken chunks. Right, So when she would get
her package, she'd look inside andif they were the long, skinny ones,
those were white meat nuggets to her. And if they were the small
do you remember when they were twoshapes, I don't even know if they

(07:35):
are anymore. And if they wereDonald's, yes, And if they were
a smaller circle, she assumed thosewere the dark meat nuggets, Oh my
god. And she would wait andshe we'd pull forward and then she'd look
through the bag and she'd be like, Nope, they did not do what
I asked. And she would walkin and she would demand dark meat nuggets
right ones. How I haven't talkedto her in a really long time.

(07:57):
That to me is about every chickennuggets. Yes, yeah, well well
all right now it's a key goodYes, I get it. But back
then they were two different shapes.Yeah, And she and I wonder.
I always wonder when I see thevideo what goes through her mind now when
she realizes it's not white or darkmeat, it's feathers. Hopefully that up.

(08:18):
It's a long time, hopefully.I don't where they look real,
I don't know. That's what Iwas going to ask you out there.
I think Wendy's it does use likebreast meat. I think that's in some
capacity, that's the difference. Theyall use breast meat, but they all
use the whole chicken. I mean, that's the whole. I'm going to

(08:39):
trust Wendy's on this one. Ilike how you're working. ZLX weather cloudy.
Hey, did either of you watchGame of Thrones? Oh? Yeah,
all right, I have bad newsfor you and me. That spin
off with John Snow has been canceled. Did you even know they were doing?
Was that because George R. R. Martin passed away? Oh?
Did he? Yeah? I thoughtI read that he passed away, the
author of the books. This wasthe was before that. They said they

(09:01):
couldn't find a storyline that was appropriate. They couldn't find a storyline. All
the writers in the world, theycouldn't figure that out. To give us
some joy, I'm sorry, Itake that back. He's still alive.
Yeah, I thought so. Yeah, he's seventy five. I'm sorry,
that's okay. ZLX weather cloudy withsome rain this afternoon. Highs around sixty,
cloudy, with a bit of raintomorrow two, but highs in the
fifties forty two degrees in Boston.I'm heather Ford on one hundred point seven

(09:24):

reach out and touch someone, wellnot literally, with the talkback feature on
the free iHeartRadio app texs WZX,and you message over to seven oh four

(09:48):
a big concert announcement today at noonwith Carter Allen. Yes we do.
It was supposed to be at tenwith us right at the end of this
show today. Who's pushed off?It was pushed off for what whatever reason?
I see. Maybe the promoter needto get their ducks in a row.
Maybe the band has it. Oh, I may have said too much.
The bands may have gotten their ducks. Moore not a solo iarretist this.

(10:09):
No, it is a major concertannouncement and I'm not pumping up the
tires on this. I I wasnot told by the powers to be here
what this concert is? Okay,But I found an alternate. I found
a loophole. Figure out who itwas all right, and all I'm gonna
say is it's it's a big deal. It's a big deal, and you're
gonna want to stick around for it. So when the show though, it's

(10:31):
great because we already have a lotof big deals going on this summer around
we do we do high noon. You'll get that announcement from Kata, and
I believe he will have tickets forit. In fact, I'm ninety nine
point pure just like Ivy sar Gold, just like Ivory Sol that you will

The Who Live at Chase Stadium. There's a lot popping, so again,
stay on top of all of itat WZX dot com. From the Planet
Fitness, WCLX Studios, Horizon Smilenow, now, thanks for making that

(11:15):
part of your morning headlines. Idiotgreat store on seven WCLX bosson one of
the things I saw yesterday when Iwas just scrolling, uh before I fell
asleep, was smoke coming from SouthStation, and I was like, really,
of all the things that could possiblyhappen, does there have to be
you know, opening day, it'slovely, it was like warm and it's

(11:39):
a good drive. But people therewere dealing with smoke coming out of South
Station. So that was a towerunder construction that was under fire. And
then the other story that came Isaw later is that. Then there's the
headline, please seek the idea oftwo men after a woman was stabbed at
South Station. South Station was havinga day. Did you see the pictures

(12:00):
by the way of the person they'relooking for? No, I didn't.
I didn't see video of the smoke, though, I'll pull it up because
they was it uneasy feeling, wasn'tit? Kenny just looking at that building,
Yeah, snow coming out of itand let me just up this foot
least. This is such a clearpicture of them. If you wondered,
go online right now, if youwondered what kind of cameras are set up

(12:22):
now and how clear the pictures are? About time, tasty, It is
about time. I can make outpiercings. Yeah, like that's how high.
Definitely, Finally, security cameras havecaught up to cell phones and the
clarity department exactly get what you payfor, I guess in a security camera.
Yep. So the NBTA trans ofpolice asking for the public's health help

(12:43):
identifying two men after a woman wasstabbed at South Station on Saturday. Uh.
They said they did not know whetherthe stabbing happened inside or outside,
but so the victim was transported withlife threatening injuries. Wow. Wow,
So South Station relatively it's been stayingout of the news. I'd like to
go on record real quick as sayingthat that new tower, which is a
mixture of residences and offices, thatit's above South Station. I think that

(13:07):
building is cursed. I hate tosay it, Okay, I look at
it every day. Less than twoweeks ago, if you recall, there
was a giant I beam that fellthat was that building. Yes it was,
and I think it hit a taxibut it narrowly missed pedestrians other cars.
It was like, it was scary. It's such a convenient place to

(13:28):
live though, if I can,can you imagine, I mean, you
don't even have to work in acity. The views that's been there,
I know, and hop on Idon't know anyway, so South Station made
the news and I'm sad for thembecause I know it's a smoke and stabbing.
It's just two things you don't wantto associate with. That by the
way, and I will I'll alsolet you guys know that since the the

(13:52):
marathon's on Monday, the starting linehas been painted. I know that's a
big moment for everyone. Once thathappens. The starting line, in the
finish line, everything's set up.I'm sure the finish line's been I heard
they were already cordoning off areas.Yeah. Yeah, they're going to paint
it. Is that today it's gonnathey're gonna paint it. I don't know
when, but the finish line orthe starting line is done. Because of

(14:13):
the weather. The weather of thenext three days is going to be pretty
crappy. Oh so they did itfaster than usual, Earlier than the next
couple of days. Is when theystart bringing out all the stanchions and the
barriers and the Yeah, I meantwenty six miles worth of them. Do
you see the other thing that includesa logo because it's the one hundredth anniversary
of the start line being in Hopkinson, where was it prior. I have

(14:33):
no idea. Oh no, Igot to look it up. Will you
tell me what's going on? Right? What do you mean? Tell you
what's going on? Now? That'sall I can tell you. There's a
logo. That's the logo honors theone anniversary. He stops typing, picks
up paper. I bet it startedin Massachusetts somewhere one hundred years ago.
You used to just start from yourown door, and then you just joined

(14:54):
the race. There are only seventeenpeople in the race at that point,
so really he might not be toofar off. Z Alex weather cloudy with
some rain this afternoon, a higheraround sixty. Cloudy with a bitter ena
tomorrow too, but it's colder, highs in the fifties forty two degrees in
Boston. I'm heather Ford on onehundred point seven though you z L six
seventeen forty one. That's Kenny Youngheather Ford. Pete McKenzie was chuckling it

(15:18):
up over there. I'm reading thestory you just sent me about Chalmers first
Masters. I know, Masters Week, Yeah, big week. They supposed
to have crappy weather Thursday, Iknow, but hopefully it starts without a
hitch. I'd hate to see aMonday finish at the Masters because really,
let's face it, there's nothing likethe Sunday Masters, you know, a

(15:39):
tradition like no other. I can'twait to I can't wait to play the
music when the sun's coming up atAugusta on that day one and Jack Nicholas
and Gary Player to tee it offfirst started again. Oh, I'm getting
chills, feather like this week Ijust said, Thursday is supposed to be
pretty crappy. Oh sorry, butit is rainy, wendy. What yeah,
just crap weather. I mean, hopefully it's not snow. It's Augusta,

(16:03):
I know, but it's crap exactly. Well, hopefully the weekend shapes
up for them down there, becauseit always makes for some good watch and
that's when you get people watching golfthat don't usually watch Golf Master Sunday.
It happens a golf course, I'llnever play, that's right. Oh really,
there's no chance. It's hard enoughto get there to get ticket,
you know what I mean, it'shard enough to get tickets for a round

(16:25):
to like watch during the turn.Absolutely, as told in that story by
Chalmers, that's right. Yeah,we will. I'd like to share that
tomorrow when we kick off Master's weekendhere listen. I'd like to talk a
little further south though, I'd liketo talk about the city of my JAMMI.
Yeah, Miami's hosting a big GrandPrix F one race. How'd you

(16:45):
like to be there for it?Get away from this forty to fifty degree
weather. Grand Prize trip for twoto the Miami Grand Prix is up for
grabs. That's right, grandstand tickets, you got hotel airfare? Yeah,
Miami. He's going to be poppingthat weekend too, So you can qualify

realistic lifelike simulators. If you everwont twenty one year old guy who
designed it, just couldn't do sixtyeight, couldn't do seventy either, couldn't
fit seventy. But we're doing justcouldn't do sixty eight. We're putting sixty

hundred and fifty dollars gift card forthat right off the bat at four ten
with Chuck again this afternoon, andget in the running for that Miami flyaway
trip to the Grand Prix. Allright, listen on the way next,
I've got a band who said theyonly recorded their groundbreaking landmark album debut album

(17:53):
for one reason, and that wasso they had an excuse to go on
the road. They couldn't afford totour the country on their own, and
they said, you know, nowthat we got a record deal, they
even told the record company, we'rejust gonna put this out so you'll put
us out on the road and payfor our travel. Right. Well,
when this album was released, acouple of the band members said, you
know, we figured if we soldone hundred thousand copies of this next album,

(18:15):
it would be a total success.Well, it went on to sell
over thirteen million, clapped in onehundred point SEVEMWZLX, Boston's only classic rock
mornings show, vis A Vjjkal whowrote the song Man. You got to
hand it to that guy. Somany great songs that he wrote Jjkle over
the years, including call Me theBreeze for Skinnered It is six forty four,
Kitty Young, Pete McKenzie, heatherFord. Hey, like I said,

(18:37):
there's a lot popping this week.We got flyaway trips. We got
tickets to a show that has yetto be announced. I have to wait
till noon time with Carter today forthat. We also have the Pearl gam
album to give away before it evengoes on sale. All these things at
the same time. It's like I'mspinning plates, juggling balls. There's dancing
girls and gooey gowns, and there'sthis flyway trip to New Orleans jazz Fest

(19:00):
two weekends worth. We'll send youto the second weekend, which features headliners
like the Rolling Stones, Food Fighters, Neil Young, and probably three dozen
other bands. Yeah, you couldbe there for it all. Five nights
hotel in New Orleans and the BigEasy. Could you handle five nights in
the Big Easy? Well, it'skind of like we dare you. You
might. You might need a littlenoseber. I've never been, but as

(19:22):
I understand it, five nights.I've never been like five nights in Vegas.
You know, that's tough. You'relooking at the wrong person every time
I tell everybody how I feel aboutit. At all I know is I
wore open toes shoes one morning andthey were and they were hosing puke and
pee off of the sidewalks. Butin their defense, I was in a
very touristy area, and so allthe people that were behaving poorly were not

(19:45):
from New Orleans. Yea, theywere US transplants. But yeah, this
New Orleans Jazz Fest, it getsbigger and better every year. They've been
doing it forever, and it's justabout every genre of music you can think
of. But as I said,we got some great class rock headliners for
you. So you'll get the GrandMarshall VIP passes up close near the main
stage. You get your own hospitalityand restrooms and all that. Of course,

(20:08):
airfare, five nights hotel aforementioned, and then passes for the whole weekend.
All right, So all you haveto do, you don't have to
fill out any forms or anything. All you have to do is open up
the iHeartRadio app, start listening. To WZLX, and through the magic and
the technology of the app, they'llsay, hey, we know who you
are. You're entered, all right, so look for the prompts for that
all right. New Orleans Jazz Festtwenty twenty four. Full details and disclosure

(20:32):
posted up at WZX dot com fromthe Planet Fitness WCLX Studios, Horizon Now,
thanks for making us part of yourmorning headlines with great story. Thank
god, one point seven WCLX,Boston. I want to, you know,
bring anyone down right now. Buttoday is I'm going to I'm going

(20:52):
to give you a happy story atthe end of that. But today's one
year since my dog Bear passed away. And I love that dog. He
was probably the nicest. Pete usedto call him a man in a dog
costume. Yeah, he sure didlook like one. Yeah he's not as
big as my Danes. That's ayear already. Yeah, but I remember
getting the call at the end ofwork and it just everything was just so

(21:15):
screwed up. But he he hewas one hundred pounds of love. He
wasn't an Irish wolf found one,No, he was. He was a
giant snoodle. He was. Hewas really one hundred and six pounds and
he was just so kind and soloving. Yeah, even when I showed
up in that Halloween costume with frillsall over it, he was still he

(21:37):
was really surprised to see something likeand he all over the floor, he
pete on the floor, but hedidn't go into a tack mode. No,
No, He's so kind and gentle, that dog. Yeah. And
you know the funny part is wegot him because a listener had been showing
up at my house when we livedin Hull and calling the station and saying,
hey, you don't get good cellservice at your house, And I'm

(21:59):
like, what, how do youknow where I live? So then I
was like, no more of theselittle dogs, We're getting a big dog.
Well, we ended up getting abig dog that peede when people walked
into the house. So that wasthe only time he ever did that,
which was good. He only actuallydid it one more time when someone wore
a costume, so two times waswhen people were I gotta tell Kenny.
My favorite thing about watching that dogrun Kenny. It was like a thoroughbread

(22:23):
when he ran, like you couldall gate, you could almost hear the
hoofs go. He was graceful,he was very grace. We had friends
that used to call him a ballerinabecause for the size he was. He
was like, are you sure thatdog's not a vallerina? Absolutely positive,
that dog's not a ballerina. Butso's it's one year. So I'm going
to follow that up because it's weighingon my mind with a happy story.

(22:45):
But it will be even happier ifit has a happy ending. And that
up, but a real one,not a fake one from us. The
sex video. A kitten wearing astrawberry dress was found in Everett and people
want to know if you recognize thiskitten in a sty and I mean,
like, I'm this is a stillshot of the dress. Yeah, it
was a kitten in a dress.Oh well, there's another distinguishing factor about

(23:08):
this kitten. It's got two setsof front paws. Two set what Yeah,
it's got double front pause. That'swhat they said they set on the
news. Oh, they said theyfound it an address curled up in a
driveway. I did not realize thispoor cat had like six paws something like
that, four up front and twoin the back. Well, I mean
it said something about the pause beingdouble up front. So I'm not sure

(23:30):
if they had six sets of pause. It turns out that cat's also a
viral sensation on TikTok. Would theyhave seen any of the music videos that
cat's done? Right? Wow,this kitten is extremely affectionate. And they
said the family must be missing her. Yeah, so if you've been missed.
I mean it's so specific. Ifyou have a kitten that you don't

(23:51):
have in your house anymore, andyou put a dress on that kitten covered
in strawberries, they have your kitten. Maybe that kitten slipped into that dress.
I don't think sorry had pineapples onus ever. In Animal Control said
the cat wearing the little white dresswith strawberries and a red bow is looking
for a home. It was bythe Parliment School. And I hope I'm

(24:11):
saying that right on Broadway. Soif you've again, if you've lost a
kitten in a strawberry dress. Ihave never put clothes on a kitten before.
I feel like that's much more difficultthan putting clothes on a dog.
I feel like clothes are more fitfor dogs usually well, they're just they're
just they give up, they don'tcare what you do. Like we put

(24:32):
a Yoda costume on Bro when hewas a little tiny Bro and he's a
police and it looked legit. Butthat's the only time I've done something like
that. He's got you what theyall all pugs Yoda face. Well,
they have e T face have dressedhim up as et, but I just
kind of put him in the Yodajust because that's what they have. Yeah,
by the way, they are gettingready for the marathon, and Hopkinson

(24:56):
they have painted the starting line.I thought that's what when they usually did
it. Peede in for me thatthey did it early because of the crappy
weather that's coming. And you alsomentioned that the logo, the logo mentioning
it's been one hundred years at theHopkinson starting line. And then we asked,
well, where was it before that, and Ken goes, well,
everybody just left their house running.Apparently it was Ashland, so okay,

(25:19):
not far away they did, whichis two miles away because we used to
do the bar appearance there which wastwo miles in right, I think so
about that. So I'm wondering ifthey did another loop somewhere in there to
add some some distance, or theyjust measured it wrong. They're like,

(25:40):
listen, just run from here tothe city. It's a marathon. We
believe you. So when you getto the water stop. Yeah, and
you're going to start seeing all thesestories and hearing about all these stories related
to the marathon in the next week, or maybe you have already. But
there's a New England woman from Vermontpreparing to fulfill a dying wish to run
the Boston Marathon on She's from Essex, Vermont, so she's training for the

(26:03):
marathon and she's They're saying, youknow, it's hard enough to do that.
But Mary Williams has a brain tumorso and she is trained, she's
running atha. Yeah, she goessome days, my stomach just feels off
and there's a lot of fatigue orsometimes there's dizziness. I've dealt with vertigo,
so she was diagnosed with the gradetoo. I cannot say. The
name of this tumor is a lotof letters. It ends in lioma.

(26:26):
Two years ago her doctor told hershe had ten years to live. Wow,
I can't run a marathon now.I can't do it. Can either
of you run this marathon? Ihave no desire to, not the desire.
I don't physically, I physically can'tthis woman who's given ten years to
live and she's running a marathon.I'm terrible at exercising. I'm terrible.
I'm not good at it. Youhave to be good at exercising to run

(26:48):
a marathon, right, I understandthat, But you can. Some people
aren't and they just do it.They just power through it. I can't.
I cannot even power through it.You don't have to run the whole
way. In my opinion, Iknow that was Ke's opinion. We don't
have the other p That was RosyRuiz's opinion. Yeah, that was the
Red Line's opinion. Is what thatrose? The Lex weather For those of
you who don't know, she wonthe Boston Marathon one year after taking a

(27:11):
Red Line train for quite a bitof it. She just popped up out
of nowhere. Is that when theystarted running with the car in front to
make sure that whoever was in firstplace was on camera for the entire time.
The Lex weather cloudy with some rainthis afternoon in a high round sixty.
Cloudy with a bit of rain tomorrowas well, but those highs are
cooler, in the fifties forty twodegrees in Boston. I'm Heather Ford on

(27:33):
one hundred point seven w ZLX.We're a bunch of bloody magicians. One
hundred point seven w ZLEX, Boston'sonly classic rock morning show. Little Randy
Rhods era of the Osman. Fortyseven, twenty three, forty two degrees
sunshine today, mixture of clouds thisafternoon, a little bit cooler than yesterday.
Man, yesterday, I gotta tellyou, and I know we're going
to get into this at seven fortyinto the home opener festivities yesterday. But

(27:56):
what a day, beautiful day, spectacular, spectacular, great data, honor
a team from twenty years ago,and then go flat. I know,
I know, I know we'll getinto all we'll break it all down.
But on a more positive note,I'd like to talk about cold, hard
cash. I'd like to talk aboutmoney for a second here. Uh,
this just in mega millions is alreadyup over one hundred and twenty million.

(28:21):
That was the previous billion dollar Jackbotfour power ball already. Wow, happen,
It happened so Fastikes, this wasour time to win because it's like
an amount that's a lot of money. Yeah, but it's not so big.
It's not. Yeah, global impactmoney, right, I mean you
remember that one point one three billionthat went to one person in Jersey that

(28:45):
was the Mega millions. It seemedlike it just happened, right, yeah
does yeah? Yeah, And thenuh so that's going to be Friday night
Tonight's power Balls thirty one million, because you know the person Oregon hit that
billion dollar last weekend. So thisPowerball mega money is not the money you
speak of. It is not.It is not. I'd like to talk

(29:07):
about money and a opportunity to grabthat money with much better odds, now,
much better odds. Well, thebank accounts have been refilled here at
the headquarters, and we're going topass the savings along to you starting next
Monday. Yes, Patriots Day marethonMonday, April fifty. We're kicking off

(29:27):
the middle of April. The onethousand dollars bribe returns. Yeah, thirteen
opportunities to grab a grand every houron the tens. All right, your
thousand dollars bribe is back on Monday. So I thought i'd just plant that
seat. I thought i'd give yousomething to look forward to, all right,
So it's going to be I thinkit's what thirteen times every weekday on

(29:47):
the tens. So you have thousanddollar bribes coming back, be prepared for
it. We give you the keywordsboom, going to earn you a nice
thousand dollars payoff. I know itpales in comparison to a billion dollar j
but like I said, the oddsare much better. It is Boston's only
classic rock morning show. This isone hundred point seven w z l X
seven forty one forty two. It'sgetting young Pete McKenzie, heatherfore let's go.

(30:11):
Yes, So, what's going onwith Boston's only classic rock morning show
on one hundred point seven wc LEX. I know I like to vibe on
this background music for the what's goingon feature? But today we're all about
yesterday, which of course was openingday friendly Fenway Park. Let's get into

(30:32):
it. If we shall hear well, I would the music we're playing.
You know the music we're playing, you'd hear it. Oh yeah, yeah,
that's what happens sometimes. Let's trythis again. Take two. There
we go, fire up the organs. Yes, I gotta tell you so.
I raced out of here at liketen thirty ten thirty five, and

(30:53):
I had about an hour's drive fromhere to Fenway. I gotta tell you
every surface row, every highway,it was just chaos opening day. But
I got to tell you also thatit was one of the nicer opening days
weatherwise in recent history. A jewel. I mean, I can't tell you
how many times have gone down thereman in the street style, bundled up

(31:15):
in winter clothing, knit caps, gloves. Dare I say? I mean
even last year it was sunny, but it was like forty degrees and a
whip and wind. Yeah, I'msure Major League Baseball is going to make
a habit out of it now.Yeah, those the Tigers, the Indians,
the Pirates, all these teams inthe northeast, ye head south or
west. Wait till the second orthird week April. Look how beautiful it

(31:37):
was yesterday. Was in the midsixties. Yeah, you know, I
had my short pants on some downthere doing my live reports cutting into the
Carter Allan broadcast. And I metsome great people down there yesterday before we
get into the actual game. Imet some great people down there, like
the Hockey couple. Here, wehave some morning show super fans, please

(31:59):
name rank and serial number. JenniferHockey. I'm sorry, did you say
Hockey? Absolutely? Hockey. Yourlast name's Hockey. I'm gonna need to
see some photo ID on that.Okay, And you are Dan Hockey,
the real mister Hockey. Oh you'remister Hockey. Yep, Gordie. Who
what where'd you guys come in fromtoday for Opening Day? Crazy? Yeah?

(32:20):
How many times you've been to aSox opening day? Fanway Paul Park?
No fun intended coming today? One? This is your first time first
opening day? Oh my god?And you're born and raised in Quinsey.
I gotta ask you after the boringstuff, I would have to say,
I gotta cut myself off here.It had to be like maybe they were
in their late forties, early fifties. I was like what. I was
astounded? Oh, their last nameis Hockey. But that was the first

(32:44):
home opener had ever been to.I I was like, Wow, really
last year? Right? Or finishedlast year? Are you feeling better about
the team this year coming off thatten game road trip? Yes? Absolutely?
You got the speedster Jared Duran, you had Tristan Cassis coming off what
shaping up to be a good season. Who else are you excited to see
here today? I hope we don'thave to use them. But Kenley Jansen,

(33:07):
we don't have to use them.I like that. Well, mister
and missus Hockey, we appreciate youjoining us here. Yeah, they ironically
we didn't have to see uh KeJansen. Yeah, I'll tell you what
before I before I get into thescore here too. Uh. There was

(33:27):
just so much hope and so muchpromise with everybody I talked to. Everyone
felt like after that seven and threestart on the road, hey, they're
coming home like this isn't this isa new team, Like there's new blood,
there's new energy and everyone for themost part, and of course the
weather has something to do with it, and it's you know, the home
opener, and of course the twothousand and four World Series champions were on
set. Enormous. There was somuch added into this it was too much

(33:52):
to handle. Yeah. Yeah,And I met another guy, uh that
came all the way up from downSouth to see the game yesterday. All
right, I'll tell you why youget some diehards here on opening day.
I'm joined by Rob and Luke.Rob and Louke Roup. You were just
telling me how far you came tobe here today for Socks opening Day.

(34:12):
Yeah, I'm from Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Brockton. All right,
but you made the city champions,You made the trip up here from Nashville.
What are you doing down in Nashville, buddy? Doing security down there
for a couple of bars on Broadway. So quick side note. Did you
hear about that country singer Morgan Wallenwho got arrested for throwing a chair off
of a roof deck bar. Don'thear that story this guy apparently. But

(34:36):
according to this guy who shall remainnameless, that's one of the bars he
works at. And he wasn't thereat the time, but that was one
of the bars that he worked atthat that happened. You had the poll,
the allure of Opening Day to comehome. How psyched do we about
Opening Day twenty twenty four as opposedto last year? Very excited? A
great team this year, so hopefullywe can make a run, right,
lou Don't we have that sense thatrenewed optimism that this city isn't as crappy

(35:00):
as we thought? No? Absolutely, no, I mean I've seen the
last what they'd done on the roadso far, and the environment's good and
sunshining, so I mean, OpeningDay don't get much better than this,
lie boy, thanks for dropping byhere the House of Blues. Let's go
so say again, this is pregamethat this was going on. So yeah,
I also made the obligatory stop upat the Sausage Guy, talked to

(35:22):
Dave Man. Dave there, it'sTim yesterday who produced a collaborative beer he
did with Lord Hobo. There's anofficial Sausage Guy amber lager that Lord Hobo
did. So I haven't cracked intoit yet because again, I had over
an hour ride home, so Iwanted to let it chill properly before I
gave it a try. But Idid run into this other listener who was

(35:44):
listening to yesterday's show, and weran that segment about a fellow named Jim
Bintliff, the mud Guy. Sohe owns the one company that provides the
mud to Major League Baseball, toevery Major League Baseball team that they rub
on the balls before the game, conditioned them. So this guy, Bernie,
super fan of the show in thestation. He pulls me aside.

(36:06):
He goes, I got something foryou. I heard you talking about the
mud Guy. Okay, pulls outof his pocket a laminated official tops Allen
and Ginter relic baseball card featuring thelikeness of not Bill Belichick, who it
looks like, but Jim Bintliff, the mud guy, has his own baseball
Bernie. That's wow, unbelievable thathe even this guy's card. And I

(36:30):
was like, I said, letme take a picture of he goes no,
I brought this for you. Ihave others. I was like,
al ka, okay, so avery rare find from the world of baseball.
And then of course the pregame festivities. As I said, part of
that was members of the four worldchampion World Championship curse breaking team showed up
and while I'm talking to Bernie, the duck boats carrying them stops right in

(36:52):
front of us, and there's bigPoppy six feet away from me, Manny
Ramirez and the one behind him JayNot just attack Derek Lowe like yeah,
all these amazing players on that team. That's cool. And they stopped there
so that they can get wrangled andbrought in through a secret door to emerge
from the wall later on. Right, But Manny Ramirez got caught up with

(37:14):
reporters. What is standing you tellingyou that we all getting over you still
love it twenty years man, especiallywhen you come back and meet the guys.
You know, I know we're comingright in our SA situation. We
lost one of our family team thatfour championship. Yeah see they all remember
that one. You know you're youcan't forget you first, as it were,

(37:37):
right, not going inside the wallto p manny, come on.
So they did the whole video presentationbefore the game. It was supposed to
start a two ten. The gamedidn't start till like after two thirty.
But another highlight and another poignant momentwas the tribute they did to Tim Wakefield
and his wife Stacy, as youknow, passed away. When the four
team came out from center field, they were with a bon in Trevor Wakefield,

(38:00):
the children of the Wakefields. AndI'm telling you it's not a dry
eye in the house. I gota little misty watching Brehanna threw a knuckleball
to Jason Veritek the celebratory first pitch. So it's just a beautiful moment,
beautiful tribute. But then of coursethe game rolled around and as we know,

(38:22):
as we know, we got thumped. You know, the socks just
happened to go up against the Oriole'sbest hurler in Burns. It was that
lost fly ball in the sun. That really Yeah, of Corbyn. Burns
not to be confused with Corbyn.Burnson was just lights out for the Orioles.
Pitching wise, gave a great start, Kenny. You know you had

(38:45):
all the festivities, the flair, the socks actually taking a one nothing lead,
right, Yeah, thanks to TylerO'Neill, who's just been red hot.
Well, of course O'Neill has homewardon opening day, the first game
of the season in five consecutive years, which is the major league record.

(39:05):
How about doing that on opening dateFenway. Yeah, Tony made a lot
of friends here talk fil walks. There's probably God was totally call him.
He has a feel for the moment, doesn't know Aldi. He calls out,
I'm gonna go on the record. So that was called by old because

(39:27):
the next pitch goes over the monster. Yeah, you got ahead of Carva.
How do we lose that game?Dave O'Brien point I know Dave O'Brien
from nesson on the call. KevinMalar was in the box for the game
along with lu Marlone. I knowthere was so much promise that one nothing
lead early on in this uh inthe bottom of the first the big introductions,

(39:49):
that is perfect again in the Iknow, I know, seven to
one your final from the old Ballyard. They'll give it another go tonight.
But h man, all things considered, I know they lost, I know
they lost it, but it wasjust it was a magical day. It
was a beautiful day. I startthe season there over at Fenway, so

(40:10):
probably be a smaller crowd tonight.I'm guessing. I'm thinking. I'm just
guessing. Seven fifty one now approachingthe eight o'clock hour. Keep in mind
at eight ten when your new copyof Pearl Jam's Dark Matter on vinyl,
we'll also hook you up with apair of passes to go to an exclusive
listening party at Showcase Legacy Place.Listen to the album before it's even released.

(40:30):
From ZX from a Planet Fitness,WCLX Studios, Horizon Now, thanks
for making that part of your morninglines. Great story on WCLX Bosson or
South Station all over the social media'syesterday, it's just smoke coming from this

(40:51):
a hecks. There's a curse onthat new building. I'm telling you tower
supposed to have, like you say, apartments and condos and offices, offices
and beam went through it last year, the giant beam fell off of it
last week or week before, superfun and smoke coming out of it.
Yesterday and this weekend there was astabbing at South Station, but with the

(41:12):
if there is a highlight to it. By the way, the woman was
taken to the hospital with life threateninginjury. So that's the awful part is
that the cameras in South Station arechef's kiss because I could pick out piercings
on these two guys they're looking for. I mean, these are some if
you happen to be in the SouthStation area last weekend, take a look
at this picture. See if youremember anything. I mean it is you

(41:37):
can see the curls in the oneman's hair. How about if you own
a business, take a look atthe picture and see if your pictures from
your cameras with your security system holdup to this. Well the ring doorbell
does, I mean, this ishigh deaf, but we've seen so many
pictures in the past that are blurryfuzzy, wondering why I don't just use

(42:00):
a ring doorbell because those are likehigh depth videos you're watching, you could
see like the different thread that's usedto put a button on someone's shirt and
a ring doorbell. Yeah, it'snot going to take long for them to
find these. Just saying this way, if you own a business and you're
worried about it getting broken into thiscamera is like, you are going to
catch these two? Oh my god? Yeah, no question unless they fleet

(42:23):
and are on the runner. They'reCalifornia bound, already buried somewhere. Who
knows what's going on. But anyway, that was South Station with some fine
advice on future cameras so clear. The other thing we've been kind of addressing
all morning is the marathon. Theythey painted the starting line or they got

(42:44):
it all ready to go because theweather's going to be so crappy starting this
afternoon, they're not going to havetime to do it right. So we
were talking in pizza. There's anew logo and it says, you know,
one hundred years of starting in Hopington. So that was six o'clock and
then we were all like, oh, where did they start? And we
made jokes about they just left theirhomes and just started running, Kenny said.

(43:05):
And so then seven o'clock we werelike, oh, a listener emailed
me and said, by the way, they started in Ashland. So then
I was like, well, thenwhat did they do if they started there,
that's a couple of miles down theroad. Did they have to add
something to the race? And thennow it's eight o'clock we have an update
update Apparently this starting line situation isthere are people with knowledge and I think

(43:27):
you got a text. I gota text from a mutual acquaintance of Carter
Allen. Jimmy, so a smartperson. Jimmy says that it started at
the MBTA in Ashland, which Imean, I've been there, but that
doesn't mean much to me. Ithink that's the one up the hill by
the dunkin Donuts. If I'm notmistaken. On one thirty five? How
many did they have Ashland? Theyhave multiple MBTA stops, good question.

(43:49):
I doubt it. It's not thatbig of town. Maybe just one.
So there, that's where it started. So we've solved the mystery. It's
question mark. I don't really knowif we've I trust you, thank you.
I don't. I do. Ikind of do, but I feel
like even after we get information,we get like follow up information so I
believe it, but I just don't. I have no idea. But the

(44:12):
also, we were looking for theowners of a kitten in a strawberry dress
earlier this morning. And when Isay that, I'm not affectionately named this
cat strawberry Strawberry. This is notme just making up words and putting them
into a sentence to say things. In Everett, there was a kitten found
curled up, and the kitten waswearing a beautiful white dress with strawberries on

(44:36):
it and a giant boat. Yes, actually would look and went over to
the shoulders, cool and it was. It was singing a cappella with an
auto tune, de ice, wasn'tit. I don't know if kittens sing
about kitten. The kitten was buskingon the side of the street trying to
earn a couple bus in that oldold strawberry fields forever, sir. If
you've put a dress on a kitten, which I'm assuming is, it's not

(45:00):
easy to do because cats don't liketo be dressed. Otherwise we'd see lots
more pictures like we do dogs ofcats and costumes. But uh, if
you've done that and you're missing yourcat, go collect your cat, right,
is that that's a pretty I mean, I would say if the strawberry
dress isn't enough. They also reportedon the news that this kitten has double

(45:20):
front paws. I didn't see that. Yeah, that's crazy, like two
sets of front paws, I thinkso, or just extra pads. Are
just extra pads, oh, likeall in one, like just a ton
of pads on each of the frontpaws like a catcher's mit. Yes,
I've seen that before. Anyway,go collect your cat because your cat's sad.
And they said, this is alovely cat. Is a kitten,

(45:40):
It's just a baby. Plus thedress has got stains on it by now
it's a whole thing. It doesnot it looked. It looked lovely and
beautiful in the pictures. Is thealex weather cloudy with some rain this afternoon
and high around sixty. Cloudy witha bit of rain tomorrow too, but
it's cooler. Highs in the fiftiesforty two degrees in Boston. I'm Heather
Ford on one hundred point seven DoubleZ Elects. Listen. I have a

(46:01):
couple of selections to perform for youhere, or rather Led Zeppelin does.
But you can win your copy ofPearl Jam's latest record, Dark Matter,
before it's even released. We'll alsoget you into the listening party next week
Showcase Legacy Place. Listen up ateight ten to score that package at eight
twenty two forty two degrees. Andthis Wednesday it's Kinny Young, Pete McKenzie,

(46:22):
heather Ford. It's happened again forUnited Airlines. It happened back in
February where a flight was diverted becausethe door flew off because well was that
United? I don't know part ofthe wings. Now this is when the
dog pooped on the plane back inFebruary. Well, guess what it did

(46:43):
again? It happened again. Notthe same dog this time though. Oh,
you need to keep you always clearyif we are going to be providing
you with more information once we dohave a sis here and direction for the
direction from our count because a milehazard. You know, we had a
haad diary all the way to theairplane until they want to go back to

(47:06):
the animal. Whoa man all theway through the airplane. Poor dog,
Oh my god. It shouldn't bein a crate, even if it's a
service dog. No. I thinkit depends on the size emotional support.
Animals I don't think have to becreated or in a bag. Well,
no, you can't put a can'tput a Golden Retriever under the seat right
right, So they have they makebig crates. Yeah, but it wouldn't

(47:30):
fit in one plane seat. Seed. You know, people used to put
their dogs under, you know, with the luggage. Yeah, but no
one does that anymore. So myquestion is this is different for dogs,
you know? I mean people flyall the time. And I'll tell you
my first flight. I was queasyand I was twenty some years old on

(47:50):
my first airplane flight. I easilycould have spelled my guts somewhere, but
I held it in. I helpedmyself together. You're not a dog but
an animal. Yeah, I don'tget it. I just why are they
allowed, even if it's a servicedog and it's too big to be in
a crate? Why they allowed? It's a new experience for them, and

(48:12):
it's just going to create chaos forevery passenger. Used to fly with her
Boston Terrier all the time and itnever became an old experience for that dog.
And that dog was under the seat, that dog was stressed. These
poor flight attendants had to put onhazmat suits and for two hours because the
dog went all the way down theaisle, right yeah, and nobody could

(48:35):
use the restroom because it got tothe restroom and did its business in there
too. So you're on that plane, Pete, it lacks the imposable thumbs
to flush the toilet. I don'tknow what you're thinking about. Yeah,
well it's hard to flush a toiletfrom the middle of an aisle. Yeah,
when you're not even near the toilet. Right. Well, when reached
for comment that the dog had alot to say about this. Yeah,

(49:00):
what you eat? Yeah, youhad fast food before, I hand.
I love dogs, but on planes, Well, if that doesn't explain it,
I don't know what. Well hereright, Yeah, that's one hundred
point seven w u z L ABoston's only classic rock morning show, eight

(49:20):
thirty nine. Kenny Young, PeteMcKenzie, Heather Ford and uh, let's
go out to the uh start ofthe marathon route and hopkinson for Bobby.
What's up, Bobby? Hey,how's everybody doing today? Are we doing?
Hey? Bobby? Have you everclashed with us before? I?
Have you have? And how didyou fare? Yes? Uh? Pretty
well? Okay? Uh? Iwon. I want tickets to go see

(49:42):
uh Wolfgang. Okay. Oh oh, it's been a hot minute. Then
you you've uh yeah, you're due. Then you're due for another round of
questioning. I'm due, I'm ready. Okay, let's go ahead. I'm
gonna make you my bitch. You'regonna beat my grand beach rocking out,
token trash break, sure, classicrock class. All right, Bobby,

(50:07):
So these are super easy questions, and if you don't get the three out
of five in the first forum,I'm just gonna give you a difficult one
at number five because I'll be mad. Is that okay? Uh? You
got it? I think I'll getall five? All right? All right?
What group that we plan? ZLXrecorded Gimme Shelter, The Stones YEP,

(50:28):
former member of Genesis went under recordSledgehammer. Peter Gabriel Jerry Garcia was
a member of which band the Deadgl Dead Yep, who had a hit
with Queen on the Track under pressure. David Bowie okay, and who was
the original lead singer of Fleetwood macOoh you see the last name is a

(50:55):
color. Let's see, Bobby, that's okay. I mean you got four
out? You got it? Yougot extra credit. Yeah, awesome,
I'll take it. Yep, allright. You'll also you'll also take the
Who Live at Chase Stadium, theaudio set for the first time release from

(51:20):
eighty two Classic Show Final Tour withKenny Jones on the drums. And now
you're in the running for the threeLP vinyl set. Bobby A grace,
nice job. Hold the line.I'm going to get some info from you
here. I'm sure Bobby's getting excitedfor the big race on Monday out there
in Hockington. Meanwhile, Guns N'Rouses eight forty two ZLX, Boston's only

(51:40):
classic rock morning show eight forty fourdegrees Kiddy, Pete McKenzie Heather forward with
you on this Wednesday, and I'mgonna tell you this about that. As
we look south to the Boston Skyline, the seaport is just ever growing.
I don't know the last time you'vebeen up close and personal on the Seaport
downtown. I was down there tovisit that put shack that's down there a

(52:02):
few weeks back, and it's theSeaport seems like a different city to me
every time I visit it. It'sjust sometimes it doesn't even seem like the
same place. It doesn't. Itdoesn't what used to be like vacant lots
years ago. There's skyscrapers, there'sa whole new skyline. It's crazy down
there, and they just keep addingto it. It's like they all made

(52:22):
themselves look exactly like the Convention Centerlike that. I feel like that one
in modern glass, and then everythingjust kind of builds up around it,
right, and it all kind ofgoes together when you think about it,
like Marie Anthony's Pier four used tobe. There's a bunch of buildings there
now good reason to go downtown. Then, yeah, well that's why confused.

(52:43):
That's why for the first time inthe country, they're opening the Ultimate
Formula one Entertainment Experience. I tooka tour of that place video tour F
one Arcade. Oh it's beautiful,it's beautiful. Yeah, you can get
details and take a look for yourself. We've got to post it up at
w ZX dot com. They're gonnahave not sixty eight, not seventy,
but sixty nine cutting edge, fullmotion, top of the line simulators to

(53:05):
give you the Ultimate F one experience. This sounds like a blast. Of
course, they're going to have aworld class, top notch kitchen and cocktails
there too, you know, toenhance the experience before or after, whatever
the case may be. So tocelebrate the opening of the first US location,
we're giving you a shot every daythis week at four to ten with
Chuck to win a one hundred andfifty dollars gift card to the forthcoming F

(53:28):
one Arcade. I say that becauseit's not open till the twenty second,
but this way you'll be ready togo with your friends, all right.
Not only that, but at theend of the week, up for grabs,
a trip to Fabulous Miami is upfor grabs. And keeping with the
theme of the new F one Arcadethat's coming to the seaport, win a
trip to the Miami Grand Prix Fone race. Yes, you can be

(53:52):
there on Cinco de Mayo in Miamito catch all the race action, airfare,
hotel, grand stand passes, beup close personal as those cars come
whizzing by you at incredible speeds. So yeah, the Miami Grand Prix experience
again. Bonus chance to enter onlineWZX dot com. But four to ten
this afternoon with Chuck, I justlooked up the weather at eight point fifty

(54:15):
right now in Miami on South Beachseventy five degrees. So yeah, if
you need it a little bit warmerin your life, you need it to
hit eighty. Might be close toninety by May fifth, but hey,
we've got you covered here again.Full details of disclosure wzx dot com.
One other POINTSWZLX. Hand claps arenot optional. Boston's only classic rock morning

(54:37):
show one hundred point seven WZLX.What's up? I just want to say
that the blimp is back. Youlook over your shoulder heat and so apparently
it's not just opening day? Isthat the Dix blimp? The blimp is
back, Dick Sporting Goods. Ialways find blimps unnerving. I don't I
can't explain it. Yeah, no, I've been in a hot air I
have. Yeah, I just well, just seeing them in the sky,
seeing airplanes, Okay, helicopter's fine. But there's something about a slow moving

(55:01):
blimp that freaks me out. Andis it because they move laterally? I
don't know. I don't know whatthe reason is. It distracted me enough.
Whereas I was behind the wheel yesterdaydoing probably sixty miles an hour,
I took a picture of it outthe side window of my truck. Oh,
I did see. It's just somethingwe see flying. Not a great

(55:21):
idea all the time, but blimpsare weird. They're fun to ride,
I'll tell you, are wonderful untilyou realize you have to land it.
Man, they're pushing this new DickSporting Goods downtown pretty damn hard. I
mean you hear the spots this TVin the city joke spots for it.
Yes, blimbs. I wonder ifthey're going to have those giant spotlights in

(55:44):
the sky at night and shape likeyou know what, sure like a giant.
Speaking of things in the sky,we've been talking about this all morning,
and a lot of you weighed inon where the Boston Marathon actually began
one hundred years ago, So apoint taken from all fifteen of you.
But there's something else you should lookfor in the skies and don't be alarmed
by it. Between April eleventh andMonday the fifteenth, there is going to

(56:08):
be low flying aerial radiation assessment surveys. What this means is is helicopters are
going to be going up and downthe marathon route as they do every year,
as part of a regular security preparationfor marathon Monday. Cool. Good,
Okay, So if you're seeing helicoptersover and over again over the next

(56:28):
five days or so, don't bealarmed. It's it's all for our safety,
the runner safety, and the integrityof the event. So you know,
it's just regular, it's routine. It's sad that it's regular routine though.
Yeah, they have to do radiationassessment. No, absolutely sad.
Why not using drones? There probablyare? Oh I think there's going to

(56:50):
be drones. Drones, Well youknow what they I don't know, because
they would want to make sure thatno one else flew drones over. You'd
have to spend a lot of timestopping someone be like like, ooh look
drones, let's get mine, Andthen you have to spend a lot of
time getting people he has a helicopter, No, no, let's get mine.
But everybody has drones, right,Runners. I'm sure you've already been
looking at the weather forecast, butthe early forecast as of today, right

(57:14):
now April to tenth, looks likea low to mid sixties. Yeah.
It looks great for the spectators, not so much for the runners. Yeah,
that could be hot, right.I think they like it in the
fifties, don't they? Those athletesa little cloudy too. Listen, we'd
like to clear things up. CarterAllen is on his way in next here,
