Let's do this. That's in yourseat Thumps. I wake up every morning
Boston's only classic rock morning show.I look at myself at the mirror and
I go, maybe I'm dreaming.Ab I'm a week dreaming. I'm a
sneak with Pete McKenzie. I'm stillvomiting before every show. Heather Ford,
I'm feel dirty and unsatisfied. AndKenny Yung let's get crazy. In other

(00:24):
words, I'm crazy. On onepoint seven, I want you to go
hard, fast, heavy, getto it. Here's to the future.
Will you see lex Wow, Welcometo this Thursday. One more alarm folks
five twenty nine or even early onthis eleventh of April forty five degrees.

(00:44):
Good morning. I for some sayyour imagination can take you by the hand
and guide you. Oh, it'sMasters Thursday, most beautiful golf tournament of
all. If you ask a guylike me like this, my name's Kenny
Young. Doesn't respect the law.He lives outside, unrestrained by the guard

(01:06):
rails of human decency. Well,I've been called worse. I guess can
you imagine Kenny breaking the law?I can't even I break the law every
day I drive in there, Ican only imagine Kenny's just traffic laws.
Yeah, you know, like gettinghandcuffed or tasered, like looking at the
guy like do you really want todo this? What's happening right? You

(01:26):
know? One of my biggest deepseated phobias, aside from quicksand, is
being wrongfully committed and incarcerated for acrime I did not commit. That's one
of my biggest fears. I don'tknow why I really there. Yeah,
that's not that that would be scary. By the way, when you did
actually learn about quicksand, did youfeel secure about it afterwards? Yeah,

(01:49):
because they said I'm never going tocome across it in my entire life.
Well no, no, it's it'snever more than like a foot or too
deep. Oh it's not. Itdoesn't you wouldn't. It wouldn't swallow you.
It'd smallows, small animals. AllI know is grow, not follow
up should make you feel better.Grow. Watching Gilligan's Island, I thought
it was going to be much moreof a problem. Never has been.
More like sink holes might be moreof a problem for you, sink hole
Heather forward over there. I thinkit's just going to be one of those

(02:13):
things like riding a bike. We'rejust going to get up there and look
at each other and might start laughing. Sounds like spinning music right there,
does it? Yeah you're spinning.Yeah, yeah, but that doesn't sound
like spinning. It wasn't. Itwas pretty high intense. It's usually like
classic rock, the ones I goto. Yeah, it's like, yeah,
it's heavy. Pete McKenzie likes toOh, I'm sorry, ahead,

(02:38):
go ahead. I just said notlight and that was the only word I
had. Pete, do you haveany do you anything you'd like to say?
Hate out? What's wrong? Well? I want a masterbate, but
I'm just so darn cold. Toobad. That's now answer for that problem.
Yeah, so darn cold. Iwonder if cold has ever stopped me
from from doing that? Well,it doesn't get you. Probably has cold,

(02:58):
Probably has cold hand because I havecold hands. Can't do that like
a stranger. Oh yeah, itdoesn't work that way right now. Well,
you sit on your hand until itgets numb, and then that's the
stranger, right that. You knowwhat? I love going into a weekend.
I love going into a weekend. When plans come together on a Wednesday,

(03:19):
you know what I mean? Likelike sometimes today Wednesday, No,
no, that was that was yesterday, okay, good. Yeah, but
our plans for the weekend came togetheryesterday, okay good and for both nights,
which I love. I love that, you know, because sometimes you
go into the weekend not knowing whatyou're gonna do and then something comes up.
I like both. I like somethingto look forward to. I love

(03:40):
that yeah, or we're going somewhere. But I also like the hey,
let's do something and then all ofa sudden, we're like boom, ten
minutes later, we're doing something.Yeah, that's good too, But I
understand the looking forward to. Yeah, dinner or golf for you, or
dinner Friday night, and then Saturdaywe're gonna The guy doesn't even know it
yet, and I know he doesand listen to the show. But we're
going to surprise a visit, andhe needs a surprise visit. He's a

(04:03):
buddy of mine, Bill. I'vementioned him before. He's the neighbor that
does just about anything and moved ablock away. Oh yeah, yeah.
So he had a stroke about fivesix weeks ago. It was a small
stroke, but enough to scare you. And he's like beside himself like he's
not in a good place. No, because when you have one, you
think the doctors tell you you getanother. Yeah, but like my brother

(04:27):
bounced back pretty quickly. I don'tremember anything, you know, overly mentally
challenging for him. But then thenVictor, my buddy Victor had a stroke.
He's bounced back completely. Yeah.Well I have a friend who had
one in his late thirties and he'sbounced back. But it's still traumatizing to
their whole family. Is I mean, it's a life scare. It's crippling

(04:49):
emotionally for a long time when thathappens, because you think to yourself,
I'm going to lose who I amif it goes too far. Yeah.
Yeah, And the bills, likeI can't eat, you know, I'm
I'm walking everywhere trying to, youknow, regroup. I'm not I'm not
getting behind the wheel of my truck. I always fill with blood clots,

(05:11):
so strokes are real fierce for me. Yeah, I guess, I mean,
you know, but we had theguy needs a visit, so we're
gonna surprise him. So you're gonnadress up? Are you bringing it?
Give him a second dress? Bysurprising him? What are the singing grams
called the Sea Telegram. Yeah, you should bring one of those with you,
and I don't want to startle them. I don't think you startle people

(05:35):
into a stroke. I think thesedentariness of life, that's why he's walking
everywhere is what put a heart attack. Might be something you startle him into.
But I don't think you startle peopleinto a stroke. Okay, I
mean as far as I know,But I mean, I'm not a doctor.
I just know that I've spent thelast sixteen years making sure I don't

(05:56):
have a stroke. I mean,you see me. I don't even know
if you see me do it.But every morning I sit at my desk,
I get set up, I popa blood thinner. I go about
my business every day. That's myplan. That's like, that's how life
works, to avoid stroke, toavoid stroke a daily routine. I get
a question about your desk. Asa matter of fact, I was approached
by a salesman who shall remain nameless. Where's Heather? I go, what

(06:19):
do you mean? She probably leftthe day. It's after ten o'clock,
the show's over, and he says, her desk is cleared out, there's
nothing on her desk, not astitch. It looks like everything was just
wiped clean. Yeah. I tookeverything off. She probably either moved her
desk that they've been talking about,or she put her stuff away. I
put my stuff away. And thiswas the quote. This was the follow

(06:39):
up quote, where's the candy?Where's the candy dish? Isn't there?
I knew something was up when Ididn't see the candy dish, so Marty
to mind his own business. Idid not say that, so it was
I will tell you well. Imean we haven't talked about it on air,
but for a while now people havebeen someone I don't know who it
is comes in and like rearranges mydesk. It's the cleaners. It has

(06:59):
no I'm just gonna let you knowit's not the cleaners, because no other
desk gets moved like this. AndI almost feel gas lit when you guys
say that to me. My deskis very organized. I know you guys
don't come around to look at it, but everything is in like it's always
very neat. What do you thinkabout? People? Wait and I clean
my desk like I end yesterday. When you guys go, oh, it
must have been the cleaners. Thecoffee spot I had from the day before

(07:23):
was still on my desk, sothey wasn't the cleaners, and they didn't
touch anyone's desk but mine. Whywould that even happen. So once they
the first time, they switched Kevin'spicture and flipped it around backwards, and
I'm like whatever, So I startedto clear stuff off my desk, like
not as much stuff, and thenthey moved stuff around again, like real
obvious, like put stuff from mydesk on another deck. You don't think

(07:45):
this is Kevin's spirit moving things aroundyour desk. No, what about somebody
coming near your desk looking for candyand not finding it. It's been full
every time it's happened. I'll showher. I'll move everything around candy yesterday
it's because I put all the candyaway, put it in my desk yesterday.
After they move stuff. I gota simple solution to this. Well,
no, no, the solution yougot it. So then came no,

(08:07):
Kevin used to put a camera onthe cam. Kevin had a camera
my desk for months, you guysdidn't know it. And then he got
so weirded out by the people thatwere coming to my desk to take candy.
Constantly, he goes, we're goingto get in trouble, so he
took the camera. I had aring camera on my desk for months because
Kevin had to no. No,I like desk all I did, so

(08:28):
it kept happening. I found flowersfrom my desk two desks over. This
isn't cleaning people there, they're sogentle. Everybody who's watched them do things,
they just kind of go about.Somebody. Someone's messing with me.
So yesterday, after the fifth orsixth time, I took everything that was
on my desk, and if Ihaven't taken it home already, which I

(08:48):
have over the past month and ahalf, I put it all on my
death like in the cabinet. Whowould want to do that to my desk?
We want to take the time,I know, But I don't have
any suspects it's happening after we leave. What a colossal wasted time. And
that's what somebody stuff like that. But I don't even talk to anyone around
here in any sort of like that'slike rowdy. Do you have any riffs

(09:11):
with any No employees, No,there's no underlying issues. Yeah, I
I go out with people from work, right, I went out with all
the girls a few weeks ago,Like I don't have maybe one of them,
moll no, there's I like tothink there's no vendettas here, is
it not? At iHeart, No, it's at least not amongst the employees.

(09:33):
There's no feelings, there's no happyor said here. I guess we'll
see what the next thing happens toyour desk. Nothing that Yeah, nothing
will happen to my gest anymore.I don't know. At first I thought
it was you two, honestly, because you were gaslighting me. You're like,
it must be the cleaning people. The very first time it happened,
I'm like, what gaslighting me?Always like you've done something, but you're
trying to make me think it didn'thappen at all. Like you two are

(09:54):
trying to make me feel like noone's doing anything to your desk. It's
just the cleaning people. Calm down, and I and I said, calm
down. I've learned a long timeago, never say that to a woman,
right right, because no time theyactually come down because you said it
with the other words, women aren'tstupid. We know you're still telling us
to calm down. And there's theother one. You never say to relax.

(10:18):
Yes, no ever in the historyof relax does that work. You
guys are funny because if you sayeither of those two things to a man,
the same reaction happens. I can'tsay relaxed to my husband. You'll
be like, relax, What doesthat mean? I can't say whatever that
way. When I hear the wordsrelax or calm down, I never get
upset. And there are I knowI probably have to. And there are

(10:39):
women in the world who, ifyou say relax or calm down, won't
won't respond either, But there aredefinitely men who won't respond kindly because women
don't say relax or calm down.Think heether, we should set up a
camera. I've already done that.I'm going to do it myself. Have
to worry about it. There's nothingon my desk. Yeah, I just
want to, I want to say, but there's nothing there. Your keyboard

(11:01):
and computer, No, I don'thave. You really have never looked at
my desk. I don't have akeyboarder computer. This right here is mine.
I take it home every day,so while you're on the other side,
so I would look at your there'sliterally there's literally nothing except a phone.
There is nothing on my head. There's really nothing to even monitor,
right, That's what I'm saying.That's what I have I not been saying
that this old time. Really there'snothing there. Z lex weather Occasional rain

(11:24):
and drizzle this morning, followed bya shower this afternoon. Highs in the
fifties, cloudy with periods of rainin a thunderstorm Tomorrow, windy with highs
in the sixties. Forty five degreesIn Boston. I'm heather Ford on one

(12:07):
down yesterday via Katta Allen at noontimeArrowsmith has officially rebooked, and much to
the delight of previous ticket purchasers andticket winners, they are going to honor
those tickets from a year ago.Nice. So yeah. So it'll be
again New Year's Eve at the Gardentwenty twenty four instead of twenty twenty three.

(12:31):
So yeah. More details posted upat WZLX dot com. But they're
putting new tickets on sale or theremainder of the tickets on sale that didn't
go the first time, this Fridayat ten am, so check it out.
It's great news because we wonder ifSteven Tyler would ever be able to
come back from a broken throat.Yeah, fraction larynx sounds like such a

(12:52):
mixed martial arts injury. Will heever come back from his broken throats?
Because he's eighty you know, thinkabout it. That's a great band name,
the broken Throat. Well. Ialways like Dane Punch, because that's
what the great Danes do to you, They punch you. That's a good
band name, too, Dean itis. I feel like I shouldn't even
reveal this, but I always thoughta great band name would have been cup

(13:13):
Check. Ah, I do itsports practices, cup Check, Yeah,
I used to I forget that theguy's first name was Mitch. Mitch cup
Check. I'll look him up whileyou're wrapping up here, because I love
you as an athlete, Mitch cupCheck. Yeah, I love it.
God. I wanted to follow thatup with a great line from Caddy Shack,
but I can't because I'd probably getfired if I said it. Listen,

(13:35):
speaking of other big concerts, needI remind you there's still a few
tickets remaining for our big thirty ninthbirthday bash before we get to Arrowsmith New
Year's Eve. All right, that'sa long ways off there. It's nearly
eight months away. We got toworry about our thirty ninth birthday bash starring
Bush. Jerry Cantrell of Alison Chainsis going to do a set Candlebox to
do us at Saturday, August twentyfourth at Leader Bank Pavilion. Jerry Cantrell

(13:58):
making news this week incident because hethought he had lost his prized possession,
a G and L guitar he's hadsince before the band got signed to a
record deal. Uh, it turnedand he put out all the feelers to
say that the guitar was stolen. It didn't know. It didn't turn out
to be stolen. He did.I follow him on social and he did

(14:20):
a post yesterday say thank you everybodyfor your due diligence. And looking into
this, it turns out it wasmisplaced by one of the roadies. So
then they finally recovered his prized possession, you know which. I always feel
like he's in a position to haveone custom made to replicate that one,
like, don't bring that on theroad with you, Jerry, Come on
right, So Mitch Cupcheck, Yeah, he was a former NBA player now

(14:43):
general manager of the Charlotte Hornets.Good for him, Mitch Cupcheck, all
right, Today's the broadcast brought toyou by Mitch Kupcheck from a Planet Fitness
Studios. NICs for making us partof your morning. Great story on one
point seven WCLX. Bosson. Seeingthe story makes me think that they need

(15:05):
to do a remake of Gremlins, and they need to do it quick because
those of us of a certain ageremember that movie. I was really little,
I was young, and it horrifiedme. Never saw it beginning to
end. Okay, I love thatmovie. Yeah, and Maguy don't do
anything like feeted after Midnight, thewater on it. Yeah, you know
all those things. But one ofthe things that really sticks with you if

(15:28):
you've seen Gremlins is the story, and I'm not ruining anything because this movie
is like forty years old, isthat the father of one of the characters
love to play Santa Claus, triedto shimmy his way down a chimney and
they found his body a year later. They didn't know where he was.
He was dead in the chimney, and that that moment in that movie solidified

(15:50):
for an entire generation of people thatyou cannot go into your chimney because you
will be found a year later.Correct, He'll either get stuck or you
drop straight down. And I don'tthink the dropping street down ever crossed my
mind because they always looked like atiny little flue it. Yes, but
so but we knew that. Andso kids these days they haven't seen Gremlins,

(16:11):
So remake it. Because in Whitman, the headline is child rescued after
getting stuck in a chimney at hishome, and that's that's the whole story.
He was rescued the fire department hadto show up, and he climbed
out of you know, to getto the chimney. By the way,
he climbed out of a second floorwindow and got up on the roof of
his Hartford Street home. Here's aneighbor. I'm just shocked. When I

(16:36):
looked up and saw him hanging outof that chimney. It was just,
you know, I shot away itsaw it like I could catch him if
he fowl or I mean, hewas very high up in that roof.
I know he loves his children, and to know that his son was fine
and didn't go down the chimney ordown the roof, and I mean,

(17:00):
it was just it's just amazing allthe way. I couldn't believe that's Karen
Boyd. The father got a callfrom his other son saying, Hey,
I just watched so and so climbout the window and onto the roof and
he's going to get in the chimney. So did you see the pictures?
Yeah, idea, they're showing himright now. And the first thing that
crossed my mind was there's no capon that chimney. The first thing that

(17:22):
crossed my mind is how tall thechimney is. Away from the roof,
like it's like he's got to climbthat chimney to get on top of it.
It looks like it's like it's notlike seven feet high. He couldn't
hoist himself up. He couldn't evendo a pull up on that. He
wouldn't be able to reach the top. How the hell did he get on
top of it? Well, onthe other side, it almost looks taller
than the other side. It almostlooks taller than the kid. Yeah,

(17:44):
no, no, I know it. But on the other side, the
tip of the roof the chimney itselfis very high. But when I saw
the video, the tip of theroof on the other side looked like he
could make it, could get access. I don't think he could because I
don't think it's close enough to theI know he did, but I'm just
wondering. I think the other sideof that chimney, with the tip of
the roof there, made it easierfor him. Again, cap that chap

(18:07):
right there. No, I knowthat that tip is, but look at
the guy standing there next to him, the firefighter cras. The firefighter standing
at the base of that chimney wasstill taller than the chimney. So,
I mean, it looks that couldcouldn't happen at my house because I have
those three it's a it's a chimney, right, but it's kind of capped
with We got a cap. Threeexhausts that are no no wider than you

(18:30):
know, maybe a small animal couldfit in there, and then we capped
it right exactly. That's why yougot the cap. I remember when we
did our house inspection in five thatwas he opened the thing. We don't
have a fireplace, but he openeda little uh trap at the bottom of
it in the basement and he goes, you got dead birds in the here.
He goes, you might want tocap that chimney. So that was
like first order of business. That'swhat we did. Not great for the
Liner two to not have it cappedright, and that's expensive and again just

(18:53):
a Gremlin's remake, that's all weneed. Yeah, this is a kid
man, what an acrobat yep zelexWeather. Occasional ring and drizzle this morning,
followed by a shower this afternoon.Highs in the fifties, claudy you
with periods of rain and a thunderstormtomorrow. Windy highs in the sixties forty
five degrees in Boston. See howI did that there? Like the highs
in the sixties will somehow make itbetter? It won't. I'm Heather Ford
on a one hundred point seven.Oh, the crowd's going to be going

(19:18):
wild come September. It's Boston's onlyclassic rock morning show, one hundred point
seven WZLX six nineteen. Yeah,a big announcement coming yesterday from Arrowsmith.
Their peace Out Farewell tour with theBlack Crows opening up will resume. Finally
got new dates, which is thesame as you old date just a year
later. So our Boston show NewYear's Eve this year a TD Garden tickets

(19:40):
going on sale for What's left thisFriday at ten am. So yeah.
The nice thing is they're previously honoringthe shows or the last show that went
on sale, So if you wonthem or you bought them, hopefully you
still have them, they'll be validated. Also, cooler to welcome in twenty
twenty five as supposed to twenty twentyfour. Well whatever, but twenty twenty

(20:02):
five sounds better. Yeah. Listen, now we just heard some train kept
roll and forget about the train. It's so much faster to fly. That's
why I want to send you ina guest down in New Orleans for jazz
Fest this year. Weekend too featuresheadliners like The Stones, Foo Fighters,
Neil Young, three dozen other bands. So not only the airfare, but
five nights hotel, five nights inthe Big easy if you think it can

(20:23):
handle it. Plus we'll get youset up with weekend passes. Well,
actually, you think about this,it's a three day festival. You know,
both weekends is three days each.VIP passes up for grabs. Five
nights hotel is actually good because thatgives you a day to get down there
and settle in, and then itgives you a little recovery time after the
festival. I've heard if you stayin Orleans for five days or more,

(20:45):
you're not coming back. That's whatI've heard, because you're dead, that
you just choose to live there permanently. You're like, you guessed it.
Old friend of mine moved down therebecause that's where its why and her family
were from, and he's never comeback. He loves it down there.
And he also reminded me to remindyou, for those of you that want

(21:07):
to win this flyaway trip, nevercall it Nolins, because just like around
if you're from Boston or around thesurrounding suburbs, nobody calls this place bean
town. Nobody that's from here hasever called it dead. Take my word
for it. And so Andy wantedme to remind you guys, don't go
down there and say, hey, welcome to Nolins. We're in Nollins.
Nobody down there calls it death. Also, I've never had beans here.

(21:33):
Side note, Remember the candy thatwas called Boston Baked Beans. No,
was that something that was just aroundhere. Maybe I don't know. They
weren't great. That tastes like theycame in a little blue box, but
it was candy. Shall look itup now. They looked like the bake
beans, but they didn't taste likeit. It was just processed sugar,
you know. So hey, backto New Orleans jazz Fest. How do

(21:55):
you win this? No forms tofill out, no calling in and being
number ten, nothing like that. All you have to do is open up
the free iHeartRadio app start listening tow ZLX Like audun you just cut your
that's all right, yeah, nobig deal, okay, red hots Heather,
Yeah, they look like okay, you'll be entered to win. Listen
to the iHeartRadio app, Boston's onlyclassic rock morning show, one hundred point

(22:15):
seven w ZLX six thirty one.Now run a little behind you. Forty
five degrees, clouds, fog, drizzle, It's getting young, Pete McKenzie,
Heather forward here. Celtics have leftno mystery. They are winning the
Eastern Conference in the NBA and theyare the number one seed. Home court,

(22:36):
Yeah, home court advantage throughout.Uh. There is another mystery though.
This guy, Josh from Connecticut, prior to Celtics games, is in
full uniform. Josh from Connecticut looksexactly. I'm not kidding you when I
say that, like Jalen Brown. The beard is just so manicured, you

(22:56):
know. It's oh yeah, yeah, I mean Josh. Jalen Brown has
a distinctive look to him. Yeah, he does. And this guy pulls
it off and people think it's himbefore the game. I'm not him.
People still don't believe me when Isay it. They think it's a tactical
pretty much. I'm an inch shorterthan him. To be fair, he
is wearing the full uniform right now. You have like a pencil so you

(23:18):
can teach. Okay, do youhave a pencil so you can signature this.
There's one boundary that Josh will notcross. No autographs. It sucks,
especially the little kids, but atthe end of the day, still
make their day. Yeah, he'sgone viral, but Josh is all about
giving back, even as a clothingline dedicated to it Dino Apparel. In
fact, you want one of hisshirts over here It says I look like
JB. Isn't that great? Imean, a way to make some money

(23:42):
off of you know, just whoyou look like? Damn it. You
know if I was around in thethirties, that would have been Babe Ruth
look alike what I've been told manytimes. I don't think you look at
it anything. I look like BabeRuth. Your face is too thin to
be baby well when I was fatter, when I was Yeah, I don't
think so. I'm telling you Iwould. I'm sure there are people that

(24:03):
have said that to you. Ifyou I'm not gonna I don't disbelieve you.
But it's not even it's no,it's a hard no. Okay,
well anybody else because I've also beentold that I looked like the guy that
hung himself an officer and a gentleman. I haven't seen that movie. Good
Lord, you never see officer anda gentleman. Of course the late Lewis
Gossit Junior who he lost. Yeah, God, rest that's right. Remember
the guy that hung himself in thatI do? I do you look like

(24:26):
that guy that hung himself? Anda weird reference. Can you tell these
people to shut their faces? Wow, I've seen two look alikes in real
life in person that I swore upand down was the real people. The
back when we used to do barbeer gigs, one of the companies sent

(24:47):
me out to do a Thirsty Thursdaydown at Marina Bay and Quincy. That
outdoor bar was a blast. Therewas this dude that used to go and
sit at the bar there Marina Bay, and he was Bruce Willis. I
mean he would sit there. Hehad the same like side smile, the
same kind of sneer in the firstlip exactly bald, I mean, his
face shape, everything. And womenwould flock to this guy. People would

(25:10):
buy him drinks and come up andsay something and he never denied it.
But the bartenders knew, oh yeah, that's an impersonator. That's hilarious.
We used to work with a guyand I think it was Toledo, Ohio,
where he looked like Hoody and theblowfish or the hoodie guy. What's
his name, Darius Rugger. DariusRugger who was at the top of his
game then back in the nineties. And this guy he would he would,
he would pull it off. Yeah, and people would just magnet it was.

(25:33):
He was a magnet. Yeah. That was the same type of reaction.
And then the other is whenever youtwo would seem to be in town
for a few days, there's aBono impersonator and I don't know if he's
local or if he comes from outof town, but he makes it a
point to walk around and he haslike the same gate when he walks like
Bono, and he walks around thecity and he poses for pictures and people

(25:56):
and just like I guess, takeadvantage of it, right, Yeah,
and Ayalen Brown doesn't seem to mining. Yes, I posted on sports and
everybody's seen it. I'm aware. Are you flattering? What is it?
How do you take that? Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm not sure
how I should take you, youknow, but you know, I guess

(26:17):
it is, you know, PhonaFlattery. I'm sure I know a lot
of people got a lot of laughsout of it, So that's cool.
I guess he's a dude out theremaking money off my life. Yeah,
sure, I'm selling apparel and Tshirts and stuff. Well, like he
said, to his credit, atleast he's not signing the autographs. Yeah,
go Josh. One hundred point sevenWZLX, Boston's only classic rock morning

(26:38):
show. Kenny Young Peter McKenzie hada Ford six forty six. Red Sox
were loses again last night at friendlyFenway Park. Carter Crawford, though again
starting pitching has not been the problemfolks. He goes five of which the
Red Sox were leading. When heleft, they were up five to nothing.

(26:59):
He strussed Cutter. Crawford struck outsix good game, only gave up
two hits. It was the bullpenresponsible for the loss last night. But
yeah, Socks were up five ZIPgoing into the top of the sixth and
then they gave up seven runs overthe course of those tough losses there.
I mean, I know it's earlyin the season, but that's tough.
When you're up five, it isit is five As a lead. You
should hold on to bullpen. Letme just throw that out there. So

(27:21):
oh and two at Fenway this year, seven and three everywhere else in the
country. So good on your socks. Uh yeah, I'm trying to find
out what the attendance was last nightfor the game, because we were talking
about that yesterday. You know,it was always so pomp and circumstance for
the home opener. But yeah,I was trying to go through the box
score to find out what the attendancewas last night. I was just curious,

(27:41):
you know, somewhat depent. Itwasn't full, it wasn't fun.
No, I saw some highlights.Yeah yeah. Uh So listen, we
got a lot popping here at therock and roll radio station, namely at
eight ten. That'll be your nextopportunity to grab a copy of Dark Matter,
Pearl Jam's new album. All right, listen to it in its entirety
on vinyl before it even gets releasedofficially on the nineteenth. Plus, we're

(28:03):
gonna hook you up with a pairof passes for a listening party. They're
doing one night only showcase. LegacyPlace in detam is where we have passes
for but you can check local listingsfor a theater near you. Yeah,
they're doing this album launch listening partyin movie theaters with the dramatics, surround
sound and all that. And Iguess a bunch of visuals on the screen
for a dark matter. So nostranger to listening parties in movie theaters.

(28:26):
I think Metallic approved that point afew years back. All right, we
got a lot more show to gohere, stay with us from a Planet
Fitness, WCLX Studios, Horizon Spin. Now, Now, thanks for making
us part of your morning headlines.Idiot, great story one WCLX Boston.
It's in entire headlines of mystery. That's what we're gonna do. We're gonna

(28:48):
solve mysteries. And when I saysolve, I mean not solve, I
mean just tell you about them. And I'm just gonna I wasn't gonna start
out with this, but I'm justgonna show. Pete, uh, Pete.
Do you see what that is rightthere? Can you make out there?
That looks like a small boat, like a rowboat? Yeah? How
did it get there? Is theheadline on CVB boat struck by MBTA commuter
rail near Porter Square. That's likesomeone left a rowboat on the tracks.

(29:11):
It wasn't like someone was crossing thetracks and they had a boat on the
back and he got hit. Itwas just like someone left the boat sitting
in the middle of the porter platformwith what appears to be damage to its
left side. Maybe they tappened onthe overnight, so maybe a train didn't
hit it. They just left abroken boat on a on a platform.
Who's walking around with the rowboat?I don't know, crazy kids. I

(29:32):
have no idea what's going on.I have no way to get it home.
I mean, is it a seniorprank? There's probably a video out
there. The other things got tobe cameras. I mean, this is
Cambridge. I mean there's got tobe someone who's like, at least find
yeah, find out who abandoned it. You can't just walk in there and
pull it out out of your backpackand just leave it. No, it's
a collapsible boat unless it's a collapseright second. Thing, we're trying to

(29:56):
figure out how this child in Whitmanwas able to to get himself into a
chimney. Now I mentioned it earlierthis morning. They need to remake Remlins
because for all of us that sawGremlins, which is Pete hasn't Kenny and
I did. There's a pivotal momentwhere one of the character's fathers, they
tell the story of how he died. He tried to be Santa. He

(30:18):
got stuck in the chimney. Theyfoundhim a year later. And I never
once after that thought to myself,I'm going to scurry down that chimney.
Not that I could, but itnever crossed my mind after that. Kids
don't see that anymore. They needto know that chimneys are scary. This
boy, his brother called dad andsaid, hey, I saw so and
so climbing out the window and ontothe roof, and that's when he got

(30:38):
stuck in the chimney. Here's theneighbor, Karen Boyd, talking about what
she saw. I just shocked whenI looked up and saw him hanging out
of that chimney. It was just, you know, I shot away it
saw it like I could catch himif he fowl. I mean, he
was very high up in that room. I know he loves his children,

(31:02):
and to know that his son wasfine and didn't go down the chimney or
down the roof, and I mean, it was just it's just amazing.
All the way, I couldn't believe. The mystery for all of us is
how did this tiny child get upthis what seems to be an obnoxiously tall
chimney. Yeah, like even fromthe peak of the roof, it looks

(31:23):
like the top of that capitalist chimney. By the way, there's no cap
on. Yeah, how did helive? Because the chimney, right,
because the chimney looks like it's aboutmaybe a little less than six feet because
there was a firefighter standing next toit, and he was a little taller
than it. But other than that, like, how did this child do
that? Should we interview the child? This kid a child you know what

(31:45):
without the parents' consent? Right, well, yes, without it, it
doesn't say. But honestly, lookingat the picture, he looks like he's
about nine, maybe ten. Iwould love to hear the thirty second to
a minute story of how he climbedin there, Yeah, explains chimney.
I'd love to hear, like whathis endgame was? What was the goal
of this to go down to thebottom and pop out and be like,

(32:07):
yeah up? Isn't that really forany child thinking about or maybe to see
if Santa really can go through achick ya. How would he know that
because he knows he's not Santa's eyeright? Oh right, Well, if
he's so little, did Sanna usesmagic dust to get down chimney? Were
children? Angel changes his molecular structureto get down a chimney? Never crossed
my mind as a child. Everyoneknows that. My biggest fear as a

(32:30):
child was the fact that my parentskept that fire, the woodburning stove going
all the time. It's how weheated our house. So I was thought,
and it was a woodburning stove. It wasn't like a big open face
with stockings hanging off of it.It was a heat source. And I
was like, he is going toget burned? But magic, I didn't
know it was magic involved. Andthe other mystery. So we have a
boat on the platform in Cambridge,we have a kid. How did he

(32:52):
get up into a chimney? Andthen out of Lincoln, Massachusetts police are
looking for the person responsible for abusingand a band puppy puppy, I mean,
this is a Chihuahua terrier mix. This thing maybe the size of a
hand and it just left who Wehad a cat in a strawberry dress yesterday.
I looked that story up this morningto see if the owners. I

(33:14):
saw nothing. Nope, I sawnothing on that I looked at. This
dog, estimated to be about threefour months old, suffered significant injuries to
its eye and head. He hadinjuries to his eye as well as some
trauma to his eye as well asto his to his face. It's awful.
There's so many options for folks whocan't care for their for an animal.

(33:35):
There are all kinds of shelters thatfolks can you drop off an animal
that they can no longer care for. It's deserving. This no justification for
it. Yes, Lincoln Police ChiefSean Kennedy, I will tell you that
they're not sure if those injuries happenedbefore or after that poor little tiny dog
was abandoned. Please don't abandon yourtiny dogs, especially tiny ones. You
just put them in a little kennel. You just keep them in place.

(33:58):
It's not like a great Dane bringthem to a shelter, or you bring
them to a shelter. No.But I mean like, if you're going
to leave them near somewhere, don'tleave them somewhere where they're going to get
hurt. Leave them somewhere where someonecan rescue them. Yes, yes,
z lex weather, occasional rain,so all those are mysteries, none of
them are solved. Occasional rain anddrizzle this morning, followed by a shower
this afternoon. Highs in the fifties, cloudy with periods of rain, in

(34:20):
a thunderstorm tomorrow, windy, highsin the sixties, forty five degrees in
Boston. I'm heather Ford on onehundred point seven w ZLX seven twenty three,
forty five, drizzly, gray,a little dreary. It's kitty young
Pete McKenzie, heather forward Well.A lot of excitement here at headquarters this
morning as one of those giant cranetrucks was hoisting up. We just watched

(34:42):
it in awe at the precision, the mastery of this crane truck that was
right outside our studios here is liftingsome sort of HVAC condenser up onto the
roof that little traffic department we weretalking about, which is probably what fifty
x seventy five feet maybe, Yeah, the construction getting their own HVAC unit,
I guess, to the roof Unionairebreathing a simple airware breathing over here.

(35:07):
They're getting their union. They're goingto be glassed off and walled off
over there, so we're not ableto breathe. Ye, it's probably gonna
smell like lavender and elderberrys too. That sounds lovely, doesn't it. Hey
listen, no one hit the powerball last night, which means, uh,
Saturday's drawing will be forty six mil. No chump change. But that's

(35:27):
uh, that's less than half ofwhat Mega Millions is going to be Tomorrow
Night's Mega Million's pete one hundred andtwenty with the fifty five mil cash option.
Let's go, let's get that cash. Let's get some money in your
pocket. Yeah. I don't knowif you remember, but we really don't
play Kenny until it gets to twohundred. All right, Well, I'll
be buying Mega Millions tickets on myown. I'll tell you I always do
the side hustle for the wife andI and our large extended families. Uh

(35:52):
listen, let me tell you aboutsomething with much better odds. It's not
going to cost you a dime, and it could potentially earn you a thousand
dollar an hour thirteen times every weekday. Yes, Monday, we'll see the
return of one thousand dollars bribe dollarbills, y'all if you can make in
a more legal, easier way onethousand dollars an hour where all ears would
like to hear about it? Allright, listen, we ran and pass

(36:15):
the suits in corporate so to yourbenefit. Starting at nine to ten on
Monday morning, listen to that firstkeyword, I'm going to earn you a
cool one thousand dollars payoff. Andthey continue thirteen times every weekday here on
ZLA, Boston's only classic rock morningshow. No now is not the time
to call in for your copy ofPearl Jams new record, Dark Matter.
Can I already see the phone lineslighting up? You have to wait till

(36:35):
eight ten for that. We've beendoing it all week. Win up before
you can buy it. Plus hookingyou up with passes to see to go
to Showcase Legacy Place in Denham fora multimedia album launch. It's a listening
party in the movie Theater on onenight only, April sixteenth, next Tuesday,
so we'll have your tickets. Firstof three coming up at eight ten
here this morning. It's Kenny Young, Pete McKenzie, Heather Forward. Yeah,

(36:58):
let's do it it's what's going on? The Master is what's going on
with Boston's only classic rock morning shows? On one twinty seven, will you
see elect they've already moved to teatimes. I was supposed to start at
eight am down in Augusta, Georgia. Hold on, Hold on a second,
Peter, I'm sorry. We can'tstart a Master's segment without Oh,
bring him on. I love thisguy. Let's do it. Let's do

(37:20):
it. Hold on, here wego tradition unlike the other the Master's point.
Yeah, oh my god, whatis that from nineteen eighty was that
he still he was doing it fortyyears ago. He was doing it forever.
Yeah. Jim Nantz the Great JimNance shel March madness. But he
will be back for the Masters.H The Tea Times have been moved to

(37:42):
two and a half hours to tenthirty? Is it rain? Wind?
What's going on a little bit ofboth? They're talking about thirty to thirty
five mile an hour? Cuss downthere, you know what, throwing a
throw a pull over on not up. I mean, we all do it.
We've all played in the rain andthe wind. Yeah, but I
mean they let the weather clear outfor a little bit. In two hours,
everybody will get to play today, get their own. So I just

(38:04):
the only I just wanted to sharemy theory on this. With this weather
over the next couple of days atthe Masters, it's got to affect your
picks. It has to mm hm. You you you know, you do
a little research. You find guysthat can play in bad weather. Some
say the Europeans, the UK playersrights are prone to that weather. They

(38:24):
grew up playing in the gravitate tothose guys, okay, And then you
go to the bulldogs too, youknow, like like which one of your
son's heathers the bigger bulldog, Likehe's not going to say, he's not
gonna quit. Both of them, they're both bull they're both bulldogs, all
right, so you they both needno motivation from anyone but themselves. I
just appreciate guys like that. Imean, that's a great I attribute that

(38:47):
to the parents too, No,they were born that way. Really mine
where I do nothing my husband,I are just like do your your husband's
a bulldog? Noo, we're boththe same. Yeah. Yeah, So
I always always, uh gravitate towardsthose kind of golfers because there's a certain
you know, there are certain golfersthat love everything perfect, you know,
like tennis players. There are certaintennis players that need everything perfect. Like

(39:12):
one the one that comes to mindis Dustin Johnson. Everything's got to be
perfect for you know, everything's gotto be conditions, conditions. Yeah,
everything's got to be perfect. Theyare perfect. Does he nail it?
Yeah? Oh of course. Butwhen things are a little bit off,
well, it starts with his choiceof wife. You know, you can
start there with Gretzky. Absolutely. So the team that I put together and

(39:34):
you follow, you can follow along. You know, I've entered this team
in a contest. There are letme hear, you can't ignore Scheffler because
I know he's the number one playerin the world. But he's a bulldog.
He is a bulldog. He canplay in anything. Okay, But
here's my argument against Scotty Scheffler, and that is his putting. How many
times have you seen him from likefive feet and in and let's face it,

(39:57):
August is a very tough place toputt. It is for sure.
For those reasons, I'm out.And some question where's he from? Yeah
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean country.
I don't mean high school did hego to? I just mean right,
all right, so was America. He's won two tournaments already this year,
finished second and one by missing afive foot putt. He finished second

(40:22):
the other point there. Yeah,Brian Harmon maybe maybe you don't know him
country. He's the United States representativeand sixty five to one he won the
Open. He won the British Openin you know, crappy British weather.
Okay, I like it. MatthewFitzpatrick now he's English. Yes, he's
won the US Open at the countryclub. This guy keeps a book like

(40:45):
nobody does for the greens, likeother players want his book. Yeah,
the way he diagrams the greens out. So Matthew puts Patrick Nick Taylor a
Canadian bulldog. The Canadian have nochoice. There's a lot of fires there,
Yeah, to play all sorts ofweirdness. Cam Smith another one from
Europe who's a bulldog like this guy. Now he's he could be one of

(41:07):
these probably, I don't know whatit is. Odds Kenny camp Smith.
Camp Smith in about two seconds,he's thirty three and one. Yes,
he said he's thirty three to one. Odds right, Yeah, and then
Harris English He's ours and JT.Post and those are my those who is
the worst odds worst odds long show. You might find Fred Couples down there.
Emiliano Emiliano Grillo and Lucas Glover andAdam Hadwin are at three hundred to

(41:32):
one odds. I like Glover,Lucas is, Yeah, he's he's my
pick. He's in his forties, still my pick. Yeah, I feel
like it's his day. You knowwhy he likes Rain? No, I
don't know. I just made itup or where he's from. I know
nothing about him. I'm going rightto the site now. I'm putting some
money in g lumber just because yousaid that I'd like to throw my long

(41:55):
shots into the pool. And uh, you're gonna think I'm I'm my little
crazy, but I think just towin outright, I'm gonna pick the twenty
twenty one former Masters Champion and firstever Japanese professional golfer and Hideki Matsiyam.
It's a good pick. I'm pickinghim to go and win it outright.
But another contender I'm strong and I'mleaning towards is Wyndham Clark Wyndham Clark's another

(42:16):
good pick. And if you've beenwatching Full Swing two on Netflix, you'll
see Wyndham Clark as he got aswing shrink and it has completely altered and
changed his game. And I feellike he's got the steady Eddy nerves to
withstand sports psychologists. Yeah, tobe the biggest cry baby on the planet
and seriously, and he went tothe sports psychologist and he straight and slapped

(42:39):
him around a bit. He probablydid dress together, baby. Yeah,
I might regret not taking him becausehe does well in the major. Take
him. I have time, Ihave two and a half hours. So
if Heather's going for I had whatyou said, had one Glover, Oh
Glover, You're gonna go with Glover. So my absolute long shot pick that
I'll probably put like two dollars onis a dude name thorbiorn Olison. Oh

(43:00):
yeah, he's in Gomark. He'slearn a couple of times on the European
Tour. Thorbiorn Olison, the thirtyfour year old. Yeah, he's won
eight times on the European Tour.So you never know. I mean it
could it could be a dark horse, It could be somebody that comes out
of nowhere. Two and twenty toone odds, twenty guys in this tournament

(43:22):
that have never played in a tournamentat Augusta. Now, you may have
played the course here and there, but first time, there's twenty of them.
That's like a quarter of the field. Yeah, playing for the first
time. If we can talk aboutwhat's really important at the Masters, it's
that they've maintained the prices of theirconcessions, Like did you know you can
get accessions or one thing, butthe price to get in is ridiculous,

(43:43):
right right, Well that's probably whythey keep the food and drink down there.
Did you know you can get anegg salad sandwich for dollar fifty?
Still at the Masters, the famoustheir famous pimento cheese is still a dollar
for it. Did buy your birthdaygift yesterday? Exited for the eggs?
The eggs make all the eggs saladyou want now actually to perfection oil just
like I like him, Jammy. For as much as the eggs and the

(44:04):
mannings, then you don't even haveto pay a buck fifty. Nice pop
quiz Before we get into some lowriderhere, or as we get into some
lowrider here, pop quiz, howmuch is a domestic beer this weekend at
the Mass four dollars and fifty dollarsHeather Ford six bucks to get a beer
at the Mask. I was righton, really good? Are you listening
all other venues everywhere? From aPlanet Fitness w Sex Studios. Now,

(44:31):
thanks for making that part of yourMorning Lines with Heather Idiot. Great store
on seven WCLX Boston almost looks likea fake picture, like there it's a
movie set and there's a child eight, nine, ten, eleven years old
I don't know, just popped intothe chimney of his home. I mean

(44:52):
he's sticking out of the chimney fromhis waist up. It's a is it?
Yeah, it is. It's alwaysIt's been on TV all morning.
Quintman, it's a your story. It's out of whitman. Child rescued after
getting stuck in chimney. That wasthe headline on CVB. And I will
tell you that the brother of thischild called their dad and said, hey,
so and so just climbed out ofthe second floor window onto the roof,

(45:15):
where the child scurried up the roofand then plopped himself into the chimney.
So two story house, not aranch, no big house. Yeah,
big house, house, very high. Yeah, even the chimney is
like unnaturally high off the peak ofthe roof. Yeah, that's what I'm
saying. He hoist himself up there, and it's an extended chimney. It's

(45:37):
about it looks like it's five tosix feet that high, the chimney part
which does stick out, And Imean, I maybe we have a bad
angle and he was able to justdo it from the tip of the roof
the peak there and like drag himselfup. Kids can do all sorts of
weird things. How many people withkids are going to wake up today see
that story and show them Gremlins andthen say we need to put a cap

(45:58):
on the top of our chimney.I mean most of us have a cap.
Yeah, yes, yeah, notthat one. Yeah, remake Gremlins.
Show kids that there's a character inthere that you don't ever meet,
that gets stuck in a chimney anddies. It's not found for a year.
No one should be in a chimney. Don't crawl down it, don't
think about it, don't go nearit. And there's one adventurous kidanefully he's

(46:19):
okay, did we find out howold he is? It's like eighty No.
I was just looking at the picture. I mean, he's tiny enough
to put himself into a chimney. Here's neighbor Karen Boyd just shocked when I
looked up and saw him hanging outof that chimney. He was just you
know, and I shot away itsaw it like I could catch him if
he fowl or I mean, hewas very high up in that roof.

(46:44):
I know he loves his children, and to know that his son was fine
and didn't go down the chimney ordown the roof, and I mean,
it was just it's just amazing allthe way. I couldn't believe. Let's
stick with children for a second. This headline did not surprise me, but
made me sad. Uh that saidschool bus driver in Massachusetts assaults a witness

(47:07):
to an accident in Millis. Ithappened when a sixty three year old bus
driver who has now been charged withas salt and battery and negligent operation of
a motor vehicle marked lane's violation anda proper turn in connection with what happened
yesterday. So the bus driver's tryingto do a three point turn in the
process hit some garbage cans hit somebushes. A witness came from what I

(47:30):
can read, A witness has happenedon Village Street and Pine View from when
I can see A person who sawit happen then confronted them, and then
the bus driver, a sixty threeyear old man, started to push the
witness around and they were then arrested. What do you mean a sixty three
year old man? The way hesaid that, I'm sixty one, Why
would you Why would you be pushinganyone? I don't know. If they

(47:50):
pushed you people, they pushed youback, what would happen to you?
That would have happened at forty? There you go, then sixty three.
I'm just wondering. So I havefor first of all, we can't get
bus drivers in any of our towns, like no one wants to be a
buzzer. So I have seen busesrecently try to do turns and do things,

(48:14):
and things get touched and things getI'm not reporting it to anyone,
I'm not. I mean a garbagecan and some bushes, yeah, I
mean that probably not. But alsoyou don't want someone who is driving a
bus who's easy to anger, becausekids can anger everyone when they're in large
groups, like there were over fortykids on this bus. There were forty

(48:35):
eight students. They're little, tiny, little people, but there were still
forty eight students. Both parts ofthis seem sad, the fact that he
went to the anger and also thefact that someone felt they needed to confront
him about some garbage cans. Yeah, I don't know, and maybe in
Azalea, which is a nice bush. Yeah, but I don't know if

(48:58):
I would necessarily lose my mind.Ye. So anyway, so that's an
ongoing. By the way, theprincipal rode the bus with the students on
the way home, just in casethey had things they wanted to talk about,
like the fact their bus traver waspushing someone on the side of the
road. You know where they havereally nice Azalea is is down there at
Augusta Kenny Masters the corner. Whatis that the twelfth hole Azalea. Well,

(49:21):
I don't know what I know theholes have names down there. Sorry,
I'm just going to continue to vibeon the Master's music. Heather,
go ahead. Oh no, Ididn't know if you were doing anything after
it, Oh, like a talk. I just wanted an excuse to play
this. It's the lexweather. Occasionalrain and drizzle this morning, followed by
a shower this afternoon. High's inthe fifties, clouding with periods of rain

that going for us. Hey,congrats to Darren up in Northborough. Just

(50:49):
I got a couple of stolen vehiclestories I could not pass up from the
police blodder on a national level. They're not local stories because we're better than
that, because we're better than this. So this one is in Tulsa,
Oklahoma, where the police get analert that there's a report of a stolen
vehicle being spotted. It's a whiteJeep Liberty. So they catch up to

(51:09):
this vehicle pull it over. AngelaHarrison is behind the wheel. Claimed that
she was at a gas station anhour earlier when she ran into a former
customer of hers from the waffle house, who gave her a ten dollars bill
and the suv that she was drivingas a birthday gift. For her upcoming

(51:31):
fifty third birthday. It's not evena milestone birthday. So what did police
do. They whip out a pictureof the stolen vehicle. She's driving it
from four months ago, so shecouldn't explain how she just got it an
hour ago. Yeah, exactly, when they have a picture of her behind
the wheel. She stole it fourmonths ago. She stole it four months

(51:52):
ago. She's been driving around withit for four months. Yes, that's
nuts. And the other beauty isout of Michigan is good one too.
So Michigan State Police, they theyget word of the stolen vehicle and they
send a helicopter out to chase itCalifornia right right so that the helicopter's chasing

(52:14):
it, they catch up to it. The guys on the ground are informed
that it's pulled into a fast foodrestaurant. That this vehicle is now in
a fast food restaurant. By thetime the police get there, the guy
has gone through the line or gothis food, so they you know,
they immediately arrest and put his handcuffson. But then when they found out
that he had paid for his food, they let him sit in the back

(52:36):
of the cruiser before they took himin and finished his Listen, we're gonna
bring in in book you, butfirst, why didn't you finish up that
mcdouble? All right? Unbelievable?Wow, I mean I just can't imagine
stealing number one, stealing a vehicleand then going to a fast food restaurant
to pick something. I'll listen, really angry at the time. Right,

(52:57):
you're gonna tell me he got intolike alternate forms of stolen transportation, Like
remember when people were stealing for cliffsfront end loaders. Oh yeah, just
weird crap. Right. I evenremember a story years ago. Used to
climb into those as kids, hopingthe keys would be in it and magic
kind of disaster that bobcats Right,And I wasn't there a story years ago
too of a tank got stolen fromsome museum or something that a tank was

(53:22):

riffs. So you're gonna have tojust name that tune three out of five?
You ready? Ready? All right, We're gonna start you off a

that tune. People are yelling,we just heard black dogs. See that's
how we got you tripped up there. We were looking for Kashmere Cashmere one.

(55:45):
Let's stick with some fellow Brits fornumber two here, Okay, name
that tune, Crystal. What's that? That is a hundred present? Correct?

(56:08):
Nicely done. I navigated your waythrough the clash during the clash.
That's the first. Because I wassitting there yesterday going welcome. I've never
done the clash for the clash. So there you go. Okay, you're
you're one for two. Let's gofor number three here, Okay, name
that tune. Yeah, I'm notgoing to attempt to whistle. Oh civil

(56:44):

Thank you, Thank you, Iappreciate Thank you, Pete. All right,
here we go. This is forthe win copy of The Who Live
at Chase Stadium, newly remastered nineteeneighty two classic show. We're gonna bump
you up to the nineties here,Okay to name this nineties tune? Father

(57:13):
of Mine is right? All right? Nicely done, Crystal battle through look
at that. Yeah it took youfour, but hey, you did it.
That's all that matters. No pictureson the scorecard, as we say
to me, the best part wasgetting to hear all five of Kenny riffs.
I know's a bonus. All right, I'll give you a bonus.

(57:34):
I guess this was a tune weused to play a lot, but it's
kind of fallen by the wayside, sadly. But it's one of the top
five reasons I picked up a guitar. See if you can name this gun
Slinger from Texas? Can you namethat too? I can't, but I

(58:00):
know the song. That's all right, Crystal, You're still my pride and
joy. All right, yes,got it. Yeah, that's all right,

(59:06):
little cash. How about the thousanddollars bribe making its return coming in
hot next Monday. I know,Patriots Day. If you got the day
off, make sure you got theiHeartRadio app open, make sure you're listening,
and make sure you listen up forthat first keyword. You're first to
thirteen on Monday at nine ten.Yeah, it's not like it is one
chance a day, Peter, areyou thirteen times a day? Let me

(59:28):
ask you something. I don't wantto get too personal, but are either
of you making one thousand dollars anhour? Oh? Of course, Kenn
neither. Well, here's your chanceto earn the Pete McKenzie payroll. I
can do. Any people in thebuilding are making one thousand bucks an hour,
thousand bucks of them. It's probablythe electricians and the contractors that are
outside for studios right here. Soyeah, a thousand dollars bribe returns thirteen

(59:50):
shots to grab a grand nine tenA to nine ten p. It's back
on Monday here at Zlex. Listenon the way. Next, we've got
the band that just recently announced theirscheduled fiftieth anniversary tour for your listening pleasure.
There after this Boston's only classic rockmorning show. That that groove just
swings. That groove can last fordays at a time. Nine fourteen On

(01:00:12):
this Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,we're Thurston for the weekend, forty six
degrees. It's kiddy Young Pete McKenziehead a forward. Grod never disappoints when
he makes public appearances. Boston PublicSchools yesterday benefited from the Gronk family on
a one hundred and fifty thousand dollarsworkout room. Wow, that's pretty cool.
That is so Gronk was in townyesterday presenting of course. And this

(01:00:37):
is where you come in and thisis where you dominate and get to the
next level. So thank you guysonce again for this opportunity. Boston Public
Schools, thank you very much.Thank you to all you guys being here.
Brock Fenness Baby New England. ThreeSuper Bowl champions while we're here,
because this is the city of champions, Baby, very good. Yeah,

(01:00:59):
they were talking to some of theyou know, the athletic director, kind
of the coaches about how it waswhen they grew up and they didn't have
any kind of facilities like this. You know, it was free weights in
their garage and stuff for them towork out. So I thought that that's
pretty cool. That's pretty cool, nice way to give back to his former
community. I wonder if he stillhas his house down in Foxboro. I

(01:01:20):
don't know, but I love howour champions, you know, they still
touch base with the city of Boston. I heard Brady made a huge donation
too, to the Esplanade, theRiverfront, nice public lands over there,
because he says that was his backyardfor so many years when he had that
brownstone in the back bay. That'sgood stuff. Yeah, nice to see
them giving back. The other guysaw yesterday and we just talked about him

(01:01:44):
too, was Movaon. Oh yeahaause we were reminiscing about the team from
twenty years ago that won the WorldSeries on opening Day here at Fenway.
The name mo Vaughn came up inour discussion. Can yeah, because I
had said, I remember the mostfamous hit, the hit the ever had
was that walk off Grand Salami inApril of ninety eight at Fenway. So

(01:02:06):
he's talking about if you've paid attentionto Major League Baseball at also far this
year, there have been several startingpitchers, much like in the NFL last
year when several starting quarterbacks went downearly in the season. There's been like
a handful of starting pitchers that havegone down this year, including our own
Nick Paveta in Major League Baseball, and somebody expressed to move on. Is

(01:02:29):
it the pitch clock? Is thatwhy? Because you know they have to
rush, you know, within twentyseconds throw the next pitch. Mova On
says, huh huh. People talkabout velocity, people talk about spin rate
on sliders and curveballs. When you'reout there giving max effort every pitch,
you are going to get hurt. That's my philosophy behind it. You look

(01:02:50):
at a lot of the great guysthat pitched and played the game. They're
cruising, and they're cruising at ninetytwo, ninety three to ninety four,
and then when that situation the gamecomes up, they reached back and they
start throwing ninety seven when they needthat. But that's knowing how to pitch,
knowing how to put the ball theright places, not giving max effort
until you need to, no continuousmax effort, which we're very good at

(01:03:14):
right here. Yeah, you getknow when to ramp up, and that's
it went to back off on thethrottle a little more. Right between seven
thirty and you know, eight thirtywere max effort. You know, before
and after that, you know,we're just ramping up. We're ramping up,
putting on an adaptable cruise roll somethinglike that. Yes, well,
for hockey fans, we got towait till Saturday for the first of the

(01:03:36):
final three games for our Boston Bruins. They traveled to Pittsburgh, So I
guess John Henry is going to beexcited about that because, you know,
being part owner of the Penguins. So that's Saturday night at eight o'clock.
Yeah, let's not forget about that. But tonight, big deal, big
deal for two local teams, BostonCollege, you number one in the country,
and Boston University out in Minnesota.Tonight is the Frozen four semis and

(01:03:59):
they're both in it in Minnesota.Yeah, the first game is BEU against
Denver at five o'clock ESPN two,and then BC takes on Michigan Big Blue
at eight thirty. So it's conceivable, Beaten Heather, It's conceivable as we
sit here right now at Boston Universityin Boston College could end up playing each
other for the national title smells likea Boston parlay. What a rivalry?

(01:04:21):
BU and BC Celtics are in actionagainst the NIXT tonight, aren't they?
Or if you want, I mean, yeah, I was just thinking BUBC
two Lake parlay right there. I'dthrow a Lincoln into that pool. No,
No, I like the I likethe odds of that happening, all

(01:04:42):
right, Yeah, I like BUover Denver and BC over Michigan. Ten
bucks apiece? Ten bucks apiece? Is that good? That means I gotta
I gotta cash in those cans andbottles in my garage, doesn't it?
One points uz alix s Boston's onlyClassic rock morning Show, nine forty seven
forty six. What you see iswhat you get, I hate to tell
you. Yeah. Mixture of uhdrizzle rain on and off throughout the day.

(01:05:04):
It's cloudy, overcast. We'll getthrough it, though, as they're
just inching creeping closer towards the weekend. Right. It's Kenny Young, heather
Ford, pe McKenzie, duck iton a little early today, a big
appointment at a meeting. He's gota little something something something he had to
uh spend a little extra time drivingto this morning. So uh yeah,

(01:05:26):
he ducked out, ducked out alittle early. I think he was just
hungry. I'm listening to the musicyou're playing. I just want you to
know that I'm watching the Masters likelive feed right now. And they just
said Jack is it Jack Nicholas?Jack Nicholas? And he looks like what
Michael J. Fox would have lookedlike as an elderly person if he hadn't

(01:05:46):
had Parkinson's. You know how MichaelJ. Fox everything kind of all.
Yeah, Jack Nicholas looks exactly likeMichael J. Fox looks like him.
Wow. Interesting, interesting take interesting. Yeah, Master's first round delay due
to weather rain, wind. Sonow first tea times aren't until ten thirty

(01:06:09):
here this morning. But those ofyou that are probably at work right now
and you got your you got yourlaptop or your phone going at masters dot
com trying to watch the feed,Yeah, you gotta wait till ten thirty.
It's very green there, Oh,it is like you. I mean,
I'm only looking at this because youguys were talking about it all morning,
Otherwise I wouldn't have this on itall. But it's very green and
it's a little bit of blue sky. So they're probably going to start when

(01:06:30):
they said they starting. Yeah,And you know, like I always say,
this is like one of the onlytournaments that my wife will actually sit
down and watch because it's so pretty. It's because it's so pretty out there
exactly. And usually it's not tilllike Sunday that she'll she'll start watching,
and then she'll say, all right, who's in the lead, who's in
the lead. We did have atalk back here from w z alexi's most

(01:06:51):
impressive listener, Joanne, regarding theMasters. Yes, Joanne, I knew
that you guys put down money onthe Masters, and so that's a reason
why you watch it. But doyou actually sit there and just watch golf?
Yeah? And like I play golfwith my husband sometimes, like I'm
find playing it, but I can'twatch it. Do you just watch it?

(01:07:11):
I guess what I'm really asking is, would you actually sit there and
watch two days of other people playinggolf if you did not have money on
it? No, I don't watchgolf, But you're not asking me.
I think she was asking the roomin general. I can tell you even
though Pete's not here, Yes,he regularly watches golf, even if he
doesn't wager on it. But moreoften than not he's wagering on it.

(01:07:34):
I rarely ever weigher on golf orwager in general. But yeah, I
will sit, even if it's notthe Master, even if it's not a
major tournament, I'll sit and I'llwatch golf on the weekend. My kids
will not watch any of the sportsthey play. They get bored watching it
when they'd rather play it. Yeah, all of it. I kind of
was that way when I was younger, but then as I got a little
bit older and got into it,I'm like, yeah, there's stuff to

(01:07:56):
watch here. But yeah, Imean, I'll try to watch all four
days this weekend with the majors, you know what I mean. I love
the major tournaments, as many golffans do. But yeah, I know
it's like watching paint dry for mostbut for those of us enthusiasts in the
game, Yeah I can. Ican sit there and watch it because usually
I'm not betting, so I don'thave an emotional connection to it, just

(01:08:17):
like you know with past Super Bowlsand stuff. If my team's not in
it, I can watch it morefreely and I don't have to get all
anxious and nervous about it. Soyeah, if you're not gambling on it,
it's easy to watch if you're agolf fan, right, and as
they said, the scenery those pimentosandwiches for a book fifty So anyway,

(01:08:38):
yeah, that's our Masters rap. We'll see who's in the lead by this
time tomorrow. Meanwhile, let megive you a little heads up. Carter
Allen on his way in next here, King of the mid Days. He's
got your next copy of Pearl Jam'snew record Dark Matter before it even goes
on sale. When you're copy onvinyl. Plus, they'll have a pair
of passes to give away to thelistening party to launch this global event at

(01:08:58):
Showcase Legacy Place, Detum next Tuesday. Win your way in with Carter coming
up next at eleven ten and Chuck, we'll have your hook up at three
ten this afternoon. Hey, whileyou're getting to work and you're gonna be
watching those other screens and ignoring workwatching the Masters, keep in mind we
have one hundred point seven minutes commercialfree with Carter kicking off at ten thirty.
We'll catch you tomorrow. Good job, well done here weo and fiping

(01:09:21):
out over you say over, Boston'sonly classic rock morning show return to tomorrow
morning five thirty to ten till thenthink about doing the same with the McKenzie,
heather Ford and Kenny. If itstops, what's stomping it and what's
behind what's stomping it? So what'sthe end? You know? At one seven WCLA
