(00:00):
Let's do this. Sash in yourseat, thumps. I wake up every
morning Boston's only classic rock morning show. I look at myself at the mirror
and I go ABM dreaming, ABMA week dreaming down Miss Sneak with Pete
McKenzie. I'm still vothering before everyshow, Heather Ford, and he'll dirty
and unsatisfied and Kenny Young, yeahsget crazy. In other words, I'm

(00:25):
crazy onety seven. I want youto go hard, fast, heavy,
get to it. Here's to thefuture. Will you see LX Wow,
We've got some sort of a ThursdayThursday situation. One more alarm. If
you're keeping score at home, it'sfive thirty on the nose. My name
is Kenny Young. The thun toldyou, buddy, nobody wants you around.
What hey, you're talking to myguy all wrong. It's wrong tone.

(00:48):
Do it again. I'm stabbing aface with a soldering eye. You
tell him Christopher Walking Walkins always gotmy back. I love that man.
Love to meet him sometime, justexchange pleasantries. Yes, of course,
maybe stories one or two, right, Heather Ford. I wanted to ask
you about your bras, which isfor people don't know you are not only

(01:11):
a celebrity, but you have earnedan inventor. Yes, you've invented and
this is kind of genius really becauseyou've invented the bra with built in nipples.
What is the purpose of that brawith built in nipples so you don't
have to see your real ones sothat they are always there? Is it
something you want to show off?Is it people do? Yeah? Yeah,
I guess I don't know. Thewomen in my life want to show

(01:37):
off their nipples. Yeah, Idon't know any of that do. It's
okay if they do, I don'treally care. But there are bras with
it built in, and tank topswell, so it built in as well.
The reality show Air quote celebrity cameup with that concept, and that's
who Jimmy Kimmel was interviewing billionaire right. Yeah, I don't need to mention
her name, you know, becauseI think every time you do, they

(01:57):
make more money. So Pete McKinnon, see what's happening. Hello, There
is talking about the things that youaren't afraid to laugh at about yourself.
I'm really confident that the laugh thatI'm getting you're not laughing necessarily at me,
as if I'm a joke. You'relaughing at the experience. Yeah,
well, you'll be laughing at myexperience at seven forty. You'll be laughing

(02:19):
at me, And that's fine.I don't want to laugh at you.
Okay, I'm not having that kindof day. You'll be laughing for you.
You'll be laughing about my experience. Will you be laughing like Kevin Hurts?
I know, but will you yes? Okay, then that's okay.
I will Well, that's a sevenforty coming up, and what's going on
in the meantime. I was inspiredtoday by an item in our cafeteria or
kitchen area for the Classic Rock Clash. Today's clash will feature food items.

(02:45):
Oh, in Classic Rock? Whatfood item inspired you? What's a rock
and roll food item? Well, somebody brought in homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Not very rock and roll. Yeah, not very safe and secure, those
cookies, apparently. So I walkedin with one of the dudes, one

(03:06):
of the handful of producers down atKiss this morning, and as we wrote
up the elevator together, because Idon't know, you take a long time
to get out of your truck. So he and I just came up the
elevator together I gave you a coupleof seconds of this. Yeah, I
don't know, you're digging out allkind of accouterment atta cases and backpacks and
things. So anyway, I wroteup with him, and apparently a listener

(03:27):
dropped those off yesterday to kiss andthen I guess one of one of the
engineers brought them into the studio there, so they quickly grabbed them, turn
around and put them in the kitchen. So I'll tell you what I'm I
came from a listener. What I'malways leary about, Heather, And I
don't know if I don't know why. I'm just always leary about food items

(03:50):
that are brought from somebody's house thatare under colored cellophane or or a colored
plast like this is under a bluetinted plastic cover. Why I know I
have the same feeling about colored saranraAnd I don't even know why. I

(04:11):
just feel like, if you havenothing to hide, it should be clear,
show me what you got. Andwhen I hear about and I know
this, this listener that brought thosecookies might have done nothing wrong, but
I'll never forget for the rest ofmy life. Ed Sheeran, You know
the singer telling the story about howthis woman who would show up at his
shows when they were smaller, broughthim a cake and she's like, I
made you this cake and when hecut into the center of it, there

(04:33):
was a ball of her hair rightin the center, exactly what I'm talking
about. And so that is whatI think of, okay, And she's
thinking, you will be ingesting apiece of me, but she made it.
It was such a big piece.I got a real quick list in
her food story from from the earlydays. Was there a sign in it

(04:55):
spoiler alert that said find the toenail? No, there wasn't. So we
had this one listener and it wasan AM radio station. This was back
in Chillicothe, Ohio, at ourfirst radio station. And her name was
Viola Pool and she had to beninety at the time, okay, and
she just loved us. She justloved listening to Carlson. And at the

(05:15):
time I was Austin. Austin yealike st As. That wasn't even the
name before Mackenzie right before that.Right. So anyway, we moved from
Chilicothe, Ohio to Connecticut, andsomehow she got our address. I don't
remember how Kevin was always like,uh he was. He was comforting to

(05:40):
listeners like that. Yeah, yeah, you know. He wouldn't let And
I was like when I when Imove, you're dead to me. That's
how I've always been. So,you know, somehow she got our address
and she sent us a box ofchocolate chip cookies wrapped in tinfoil loosely,
but the box was a shoe box. Oh god, this shoe box for

(06:00):
thanks for your Tom McCanns. ButI'll pass. Oh that's so wrong.
It's so many different ways. Wewent to her house one day when we
were actually in Chili Cofee. Itwas her apartment and she had made us
a chocolate cake and she cut useach piece of cake. Keep in mind
she's like ninety. And after shecut the cake, she took the knife
and put it in her mouth andlicked the entire blade of the knife,

(06:25):
the icing. Wow, you guyshad some experiences. We're going to get
out of here a lot. Nope. You know, for every kind generous
listener that wants to give back anddo something nice, there is six crazy
ones that want to harm us insome way, discuss us in some way.
So just keep that in mind. It's such a it's such a weird.

(06:46):
I mean, all the prison emailsand letters, I feel like none
of them, there was only onethreatening one. Most of them are just
very either sexual or like just conversational. Not that we wanted to t anybody
from reaching out via the talk backfeature on the iHeartRadio app or the touchenails
or hairs, all of those things. Celex Weather sunny in fifties today and

(07:09):
tomorrow. I did read the pollenlevels are going to be like super high
tomorrow. So if you're the kindof person where polin gets you tomorrow,
it's going to accelerate pallin and insects. Insects are going to be kicking it
this spring and summer. Super fun, thirty four degrees in Boston. I'm
Heather Ford on a one hundred pointseven double z LX, Boston's only classic

(07:30):
rock morning show. Be prepared, the boy scout motto goes well. I
was prepared, and then we gotoff on this side tangent going over some
of these talkbacks over here. Atleast I got off on a tangent.
It's Kenny Young, Pete McKenzie,Heather four five forty one, so Pete,
you eluded moments ago to your classicrock clash theme today, which is
food related. Yes, yes,I got my wheels turning. I'm trying

(07:54):
to think food related classic rock rightbands in arnests? Yeah, d research
and you'll easily get three out offive? Well should you get three out
of five? Loansome George Thoroughod, don't you understand? And his Delaware Destroyers
will be hitting the Wilburg wedged inbetween some dates he's doing with John Fogerty
this summer. So when he hitsthe Wilbur on June eighteenth, again,

(08:16):
great intimate venue, great setting, great sound there, you can catch George
is Bad all over the world tour. Like I said, this guy is
such a road warrior. He stilldoes like two hundred dates a year and
he gives a lot to New England. A lot of those shows are in
New England. And you mentioned he'sgot a place down the Cape or near
the Cape that doesn't hurt having aresidence on the cape. Yeah, to

(08:37):
keep him around here. Yeah,so these area shows, he must buzz
home, you know what I mean, and just kick it on the sea
shore between concerts. So tickets availableat the Wilber dot com. But at
eight forty, successfully navigate your waythrough Pete's line of questioning, and you
could be there with mister thorough Good. I remember I got a chance to
meet him prior to our birthday batchcouple of years ago. He was playing

(08:58):
a show at the Rocks here, which I now think is called Royale or
something right down there in the theaterdistrict, and Carter Allen was the one
who arranged it. So we werethere with our wives and right after the
show. And I'll never forget this. The first time I met George Thorogood,
it was in the kitchen of theplace. It was an empty kitchen,
so it's all state. We're leaningagainst stainless steel tables in this cutlery

(09:20):
and pans hanging around it, andthere's George Thoroughgood with his giant mitz.
So yeah, listen up at eightforty, we'll get you into that show.
Your ticket to rock right. Here'sfrom a Planet Fitness, WCLX Studios,
Horizon Sile Now, thanks for makingus part of your morning. Great
story one WCLX Bosson, I mean, I'm going to talk about the shooting

(09:45):
that happened on the Expressway or nearthe Brain Tree split yesterday. But first
the story that caught my eye theminute I turned on my phone this morning,
which was former Wisconsin college chancellor firedover porn career, fighting to keep
his faculty post the chanceller. Yes, this career, Yes this Wow,
this story had so many twists andturns when I read it. First of

(10:05):
all, I'm not going to showyou his picture yet because I want to
tell you all about it, okay, And it is the abbreviated version.
It is that he and his wifewrote some pornographic books for like an E
format, like an electronic format, okay, and also under pseudonyms. They
performed in a couple of kind ofhomemade videos pornographic video porn kind of but

(10:33):
one of them is called monogamy withBenefits. I love that he collaborated with
his wife though how porn and richis our relationship is one of them,
and second is married with benefits ourreal life adult industry adventures. Now,
they did it under other names, but they could be seen by you know
people. So he was fired asthe chancellor about four or five months,

(10:56):
maybe before he was going to retireanyway, But he still has a job
as a communications professor, and sothey're trying to well, they're trying to
fire him from that. He's like, I haven't done anything wrong. I
didn't do it on any university facilities. I didn't use university money. This
is all my own thing. There'sthere's nothing in my contract that says I

(11:18):
can't do born. That's what Iwas going to say. Was there some
sort of morality clause? Like dowe have one of those? I don't
know. And this is this ishim having sex with his own wife.
He's not having sex with other peoplerelations. Now I'm going to show you
what he looks like. And I'mthinking to myself, they could only do
this themselves, like they're He's agood looking guy. He's a good looking

(11:39):
elderly man. He looks like achancellor of a well to do He looks
a lot better than I ventured.So he's he's got good eyes. He's
got good eyes. That's it,though, I mean, I don't want
to watch this man. I wouldn'teither. I don't have a problem with
it. He's just I mean,as a chancellor to university, it's just
well, he's not that you hereanymore. What there he left that one.

(12:01):
That was fine, he goes,But as the communications professor, what
he I mean? I had professorssay all sorts of weird crap. You
know what I mean, it's justSaxon. He's having it with his wife.
Well, let's not be judgmental aboutelder porn. Okay, Well,
I'm just saying I'm not watching this. But but again, he's doing the
monogamy with benefits. That's not aporn title you're used to. No,

(12:24):
doesn't get me hot. I cantell you that. So anyway, that
that caught my eye this morning. The other thing is that the road that
I take home every day, butthis thankfully was four hours after I would
have been on it was caught upin a road rage gunfire incident where where
people who were traveling away from thecity. I'll do it this way near

(12:45):
the brain Tree split. Someone travelingthat way gunfire went through his work truck
and grazed him. Because the gunfirehappened going towards the city slash towards the
cape, I don't know it mean, it happened before the three expressways split.
There on the opposite side of thehut there was gunfire northbound. Shooter

(13:05):
southbound victim. Yes, I alwaysavoid the north and south there when i'm
reporting it, only because you're notnecessarily driving in that I confuse people all
the time. At that point, you're going in a completely other direction.
But so it can't even imagine justdriving in your car going home from work

(13:26):
and a bullet goes. I thinkabout this way too much for someone.
Why are people shooting their guns whilethey're driving? Did you say I think
there was a witness. I don'tknow whether they had the one ten grill
or because that's the restaurant that's rightthere past. Yeah, I think I
think this is the GM or themanager there that it was like, I
think happened to be outside setting upthe patio or something at the time.

(13:48):
And then yeah, another driver too, just heard a series of pops.
I had heard the four shots andthen spoiling tires. The guy got out,
he was looking at his door. The gentleman in the truck was checking
him elf, looking inside and outsideof the truck. Right now, you
know, people being crazy trying toget nowhere fast, you know, and
innocent people, the ones that canhurt. The world's gotten crazy. Unfortunately,

(14:09):
had to feel like it's kind ofa the new No One. Unfortunately,
my parents never had to give methe guns in cars talk, but
I've given that talk to my kidsnumerous times. Don't get into a situation
with anyone. They will probably havea gun in their car if they're crazy
enough to keep fighting you, andthen they're probably going to use it.

(14:30):
I never my parents never sat medown for the guns while driving. It
wasn't necessary. I can't even whenI'm having to talk with them, it
feels fake. Yeah, like Ican't believe I'm having this conversation, right.
I mean, I'm hesitant now toeven flip the bird to somebody because
for that reason, you should beyou don't know, just wave it used

(14:52):
to be. It used to be. You know, I would be past
or aggressive and just give somebody thethumbs up and smile real big when they
cut me off, like, hey, you're a champion. Now I just
ignore everyone. Yeah, you haveto. I just don't even turn.
It's just too scary. Zlex WeatherSonny in fifties today and tomorrow. Pollen
levels super high starting tomorrow, andPete, what else were talking about was

(15:13):
insects. Insects big time? Yousay, incest early and often early with
incest, early incests. Thirty fourdegrees in Boston. I'm Heather Ford on
one hundred point seven ZLX onet wZLX, Boston's only classic rock morning show,
The Crew with a sortie well withauthority. The Crew announced they've signed

(15:35):
a new record deal with Big MachineRecords, a label out of Nashville.
I guess the owner of that labelwas a big fan of the crew,
and they seem to have a goodfit here. It's the first new music
that's gonna drop from Motley Crue tomorrow. I believe we're going to be playing
it tomorrow morning and have a premiere. Are these record deals like the days

(15:56):
of old when these groups had toprovide like three albums for their contract.
I wonder how this is working, because you know, streaming doesn't make the
bands a lot of a lot ofmoney. That's why they all still tour
incessantly. But I mean, like, would they have you know, twenty
songs in them to create that muchmusic in a contract? That's a good

(16:17):
question. The details of the contracthave not been listed, but I will
tell you this, there's a newsingle dropping tomorrow called Dogs of War.
This will mark the first new musicthat the crew has released in about six
years. If you faintly recall theDirt movie, the biopic about the band
that was released in twenty eighteen, they did record a few songs for the

(16:37):
soundtrack of that to go along withit. But this is like the first
official one, and it's also thefirst official release with their new guitarist,
John Five, who had played withMarilyn Manson I think or Rob Zombie rather.
So. Yeah, we'll be playingDogs of War at some point tomorrow
morning here. Meanwhile, the Dogsof War were added out there in Cleveland

(16:57):
yesterday, Yes, Boston Red Soxwith a nice bounce back road victory over
your Guardian's pete. Yeah. Yeah, they were keeping that healthy road record
going that. Yeah. And nowthere's an escape game today. Yeah,
one o'clock start the rubber match.Yeah, eight nothing was the final.
Yesterday the Guardians blanked by the powerof socks starter Cooper Chriswell. Again,

(17:25):
who is this guy? It shouldbe followed by the third he threw all
right, Cooper Criswell. He didgo five strong, only allowing three hits
snow earned runs struck out three.Uh, but I'll tell you what socks
wracked up sixteen hits. Connor Wong, your catcher, Connor Wong. I
think he had two home runs yesterday. This guy's a beast. He's hot

(17:48):
right now. Yeah, it wouldhave been a nice Boston parlay for those
gamblers out there, except for theCeltics game. And also the guy whose
name first name I still can't pronounceeffectively. While you're a bray you you're
right fielder who's also hot as fireright now, y e r. He
went four for five yesterday. NTyler O'Neil starting to rake again after coming

(18:08):
off that concussion with Rave Devers. But yeah, nice to see the socks
pulling their weight, my buddy.Ways all, Joel attended the game,
so I was very happy for himto get to witness that aid Zip victory.
Yeah, we're going to get intosome Bruins and Celtics talk in just
a little bit here. Meanwhile, breaking news just before the Matley crew that

(18:30):
we just played ran into the bathroomhere because I didn't want to hold onto
that excess energy. And I witnessedsomething that since I witnessed it, you're
going to have to be told aboutit, and that is a radio host
from another station in our building herethat will remain nameless at this point.
I've witnessed this before, but it'sbeen years pre pandemic. But he decided.

(18:53):
You ever run into a men's roomand somebody has It's funny, we
both know who you're talking about.I know you're talking about. I've never
even seen this person in the men'sroom as a man. I don't see
any reason to pull your pants threequarters of the way down at a urinal
right, okay, with your handagainst the walls three and your T shirt
hiked up and Heather, Heather, that's exactly what I was thinking. Is

(19:15):
this a toddler? Yeah? No, this is a name for this person
that has to do with the tshirt up part that I can never say
on air. Yeah, well, you'll tell me as soon as I shut
these seems like it's a question thatshould be he should be addressed, it
should be asked, the question. There's a lot to unpack. And again,
I just tried to do a quickpop in, get in, get

(19:36):
out. I mean that's what Ido in there, get my business taken.
But you were frozen in horror. You couldn't move. You were standing
there and you're like, I don'teven think I can peel. And then
and then I got the over theshoulder look, and so I was forced
to then acknowledge and say hi,And I kind of did it like that
because I was like, Oh,I guess you're still doing that. I
guess you're still you know, actinglike you said. At least you're not

(19:57):
eating at the urine all this time. And that is the other thing that
happened numerous times. A sandwich.Yeah even like not even like put something
in their mouth before they walked inthere. It was finished chewing a multi
lay there with a sandwich. Yeah. Yeah, So a sandwich in one
hand, dog in the other.Yeah, Oh my god. Well,

(20:18):
listen, this is the type ofthings that we get into on this show.
So again, if I had tosuffer through it, you're going to
have to summer through it. We'realso going to get into our instagrams here.
Remember give us a follow at WZLXnow through tomorrow you get a chance
to win your ticket to Rock forLive and Stone Temple Pilots hit in the
Exfinity Center. See, we're talkingabout free concert tickets this summer. We've
already forgotten about that whole mess inthe bathroom. Heav't we Boston's only classic

(20:41):
rock borning show six thirty two nowthirty four degrees. My word is this
October not skinny? Young Pete McKenzieheather Ford twenty years ago today, Billy
Joel fans, you may recall hewas wrapping up a string of really bad
car accidents. Billy, he was, I guess hitting the ball a little
too hard. In the early aughts, he crashed his nineteen sixty seven Classic

(21:06):
Citrone into a house in Bayville,New York, only damaging and cutting one
of his hands. But it hadbeen his third I guess, a major
car accident in less than two years. Yeah, no one was seriously injured.
No one was in the house atthe time, but I remember that.
I think it was near Long Island. Is that Bayville? I'm sure
where Bayville is, But yeah,he had this stretch in the early two

(21:30):
thousands where he was getting into carrex and I think substance has had to
do with that. But there yougo. There's a little Billy Joel factoid.
Twenty years ago. Well, Ikind of remember that happening. It's
funny you mentioned a car accident. It is kind of the focus of the
scam. We've been talking about scamsthis week a little bit, a little
bit here and there locally here inthe government agency I dealt with this week,

(21:52):
right, And they told you thatdon't even talk to the phone scammers
or whoever's calling you, because allthey need is a little bit of your
voice to use it against you.Yeah, all they need is hello,
because AI they can just start developingwords that you never said using your voice.
Yeah. So yeah, don't messwith scammers on the phone. But
this particularly, this is an emailfrom a listener. My dad got scammed

(22:18):
about six months ago. The scammercalled my dad said, my brother was
in a horrible car accident with injuries. Not your son, but he caused
injuries. Now, the other thingis how did the scammers know that his
brother was actually on his way toFlorida. And he was on his way
to Florida social media could be ohyeah, yeah. So the scammers said,

(22:42):
we need eight grand for your sonto get out of jail. Okay.
The worst part is that the dadgoes to the bank asks for eight
grand. They give it to him. They say are you sure you want
this? He says yes, it'spersonal. The worst part is that my
wife works at that branch and henever said anything to her. WHOA.

(23:06):
So he goes back, calls thescammer. Backer gets back in touch with
a scammer. The scammer says,it's worse than we thought. We need
another ten grand. Goes back tothe same bank where his daughter in law
works. Where's he said anything?Where's he dropping off the money he had?
He still has the money. Oh, he hasn't dropped any off yet.
He still has it. So nowhe's got eighteen thousand dollars. Okay,
And the guy meets him at hishouse. Oh god, he puts

(23:30):
the dad puts the money in abag and gives it to him. Oh,
gives it to the guy. Turnsout the guy is from Canada,
the scammer. The scammer is fromCanada. He has eighteen thousand dollars of
this guy's money. The police tellhim there's nothing we can do because he's
in Canada. Oh. He nothinghas been done to this day for six
months. Oh, according to thelistener, and his dad's out eighteen thousand

(23:52):
dollars. I would have thought hewould have asked his daughter in law,
Hey, it's you know right,he never send He never called his dad.
I mean finally he called he finallyhe called his son. The dad
called his son to let him knowbecause this guy walked off with eighteen grand
and never heard He never heard anythingagain for a few hours. He said
he was going to be contacted shortly, and he wasn't. And then he

(24:14):
called his son because he didn't wantto concern the woman whose husband was allegedly
involved in this accident, because wouldn'tit have been her husband? Yeah,
that's what he was paying the moneyfor. Whose husband the woman who worked
in the bank. Yeah, thatwas his daughter in law. Right,
was the wife of the person whowas involved in the accident, according to

(24:36):
the scammer, was the wife ofthe person he said he had two sons.
Yeah, so that his brother. This was his brother traveler. So
the wife is the wife of theperson who emailed. You'd still think like,
hey, he didn't say anything toanybody. Oh, this is just
these scammers are so good and they'reso evil. If they could just take

(24:59):
the these tess they haven't used themfor good, for good and not either.
Yeah, but it's like it's simplefact checking. You know, before
you went to the bank to getout eighteen grand you know, while they're
preying on elderly people. You know, it seems like the very young people
and the elderly. I think, you know, people in the group age
group of thirty five for the mostpart, people in the age group thirty
five to sixty sixty five whatever, are aware of scams going on. Still

(25:26):
happens to that, still happens tothem too. I know lots, especially
those romance scams, they don't justhappen, they happen to everyone. Yeah,
all right, well, I mean, you know, it's just I
just felt I had, you know, the listeners shared the story in a
big paragraph, and I thought thatis a perfect example of talk to somebody.
Yeah, don't be afraid to talkto something. Make a couple of

(25:47):
phone calls, Make a couple ofphone calls, get another opinion, you
know what I mean. Alive, but you're panicking because it's your son.
I get it, I mean Iget it. But ask people, just
ask, especially if you're talking inlaw works at the bank. Oh my
god, I've seen enough dateline intwenty twenty and sixty minutes to know,
Yeah, make a few phone calls. Six thirty eight now on this Thursday,

(26:10):
you're gonna be get into some playofftalk Next Playoffs one hundred points.
Wuz Lax, Boston's only classic rockmorning show here six forty nine, thirty
four. I was awakened in themiddle of the night It's Kenny Young,
Pete and Kenzie heather Ford, bya low rumble in the household from my
guest room, sleeping quarters, mysleep cave, as I call it.
I was awoken by a rumble.Furnace kicked on. Now. I had

(26:32):
set my thermostat probably a week orten days ago, down to like sixty
four for the house. I gotone zone for the whole house. It's
an old house, and I figuredI was safe, right, I figured,
all right, sixty four, it'snot the house temperature is not going
to drop below that. Well itdid last night because it cut into the
thirties out in Metro West. Soyeah, the furnace still alive and kicking.

(26:52):
Yeah, yeah, Well we broughtin the plants in planners there.
You did, didn't cod freeze, guy, I had to do it.
It was had freeze in some areas. Thirty four right now, right?
Is that right? Yes? That'swhat the talking picture box tells me to
thirty four, So listen. Gettingback to ac DC PTE, I remember
of yesteryear and days past, youalways used to use the beginning for those

(27:14):
about Tarrok as your sports report. That's right, it's only fitting we do
a quick playoff recap. See wherewe are with the mighty Boston Bruins,
right well, Game three pivotal Gamethree shifts to Toronto last night, and
boy did they answer the call.Your Boston Bruins, big road playoff win

(27:36):
and Marshy, your captain, breakinga tie midway through the third in a
very hard fought game. This wasplayoff hockey, nose to the grindstone type
of stuff. Just good to seethe captain step up. Yeah. I
thought the same thing because he hada quiet game too, you know,
a couple of hits here and there. Did you catch the postgame comments from
the Toronto coach. I think itis the Sheldon Keith name. I did

(27:59):
not hear from Sheldon. He saidbasically that Marshan gets away with murder with
them because he's been in the leagueso long. He gets away with,
you know, tripping people, andhe alluded to Bertuzzi getting tripped a couple
of times. Well there was nocall. Todd Bertuzzi had a goal to
tie it. So but to Sheldonkeeps credit, he did say it's an
art form. The way Marshan getsaway with it. He's he's it's elite,

(28:25):
it's an elite. It's a skill. It's a skill, the way
he gets away Monty. After thegame, Montgomery, Jim Montgomery was saying
that the intensity that Marcian showed inthe game last night started with the morning
skate yesterday. They had a feelinghe was going to play. Well,
it's the way we did it.Like morning skate. I saw the way
we were, I saw the wayour captain was, and I just knew

(28:47):
we were going to have a goodgame. I knew we were coming to
play. Wait did you what didyou see from Brad in morning skate?
Well, he started barking the firstdrill before thought, I, oh,
what's three minutes early? He goes, let's go. I love it.
So he was early, you knowfor morning skate. He was yelling at
everybody, come on, let's go, let's let's get it going here,

(29:07):
and so that we had to hearfrom the captain afterwards, who had a
pair of goals, one of themthe empty netter at the end, which
incidentally, I wouldn't normally talk aboutan empty netter, but right before he
scored it, he absolutely upended thedefenseman like Marsha got underneath him, flipped
them over, grabbed the puck andyou know, to pick up a rebound
and scored it. Was it waspretty nasty, but yeah, he's fired

(29:27):
up and he's all business. BradMarsha in these days, I thought we
elevated to another level from where he'dbeen at the first couple of games.
Just excited. It's not a giventhat you get the opportunity to play in
Stemleica playoffs and kind of woke upwith that gratitude of you know, being
excited, understanding that it's a giftto play in this league and in playoffs
is something that you know, wedreamn go to his kids. Yeah,

(29:48):
and another gift was jace Way swaymingwith twenty eight saves last night made some
big ones game money stick with therotation for Yeah, that's exactly what I
was going to bring up Game four. It's up in the air. It's
a question mark. Who's going toget the start Saturday night at the Scotia
Bank Arena. Celtics not so enviablelast night with a ten point loss in

(30:11):
Game two to the Miami Heat. You'd think with Tatum getting twenty eight and
Jalen Brown getting thirty three, yeah, that might be good enough, right,
Derek White with thirteen? No,Now, the Heat were pouring in
threes. They were franchise record.Actually, I guess too. I read
on the socials here that Miami Heatwas celebrating in the locker room with passing

(30:33):
around Pacifico beers and cranking music andacting as if they had won the series.
So that might be good locker roomyou know, bulletin board fodder for
the Celtics for Game three, whichI understand is also Saturday night. I
think they started six Bruins at eight, is that right? Yeah? And
then Messi's in town with the Revs. Oh man, Yeah, that's a
big night, action packed, actionpacked. Well. Meanwhile, here in

(30:56):
weekend mode, we're going to bebringing you another double shot weekend so you
can watch all the sports you want, Turn your TV volumes down, your
w zx iHeartRadio smart speaker volumes up. That way, it's a win win
for everybody. Hopefully everybody right fromthe Planet Fitness WCLX Studios. Now,
thanks for making us part of yourmorning idiots. Great story on one hundred

(31:21):
point seven WCLX, Boston. Ijust love the feel good stories. I'm
just kidding, it's so hard forme to find them. And the picture
of this dude. A Beverly man, a Beverly drummer, celebrates his one
hundredth birthday on his drums with whiskingRoger you know, I don't know.
Roger Wantson celebrated his hundredth birthday playingwith his band Voltage Voltage at a senior

(31:47):
living facility. Hume. Oh,that's awesome. I love it when someone
who's one hundred years old is totallymetal. Yeah, it's a badass title,
it really is. I'm assuming,I don't know what. Was he
wearing a leather vest? He wasnot, and he just looks So he's
not like that one lady we usedto play when she had undreds, Like
I'm he's like, he's not tired. He's like smacking his sticks together,

(32:07):
getting the time going. Uh sohe's when when he was eighteen and well,
he just said he and his brothergot started on the drums together,
which I think is super fantastic. But do we have him talking or do
we have someone talking about him himtalking, okay, saying which is we
Yeah? I couldn't find him playinganywhere. Did you see what his birthday

(32:29):
was? By the way, whatApril twentieth? Wow, finally have somebody.
He's a World War two veteran. So anyway, here here he is
talking about his life. It's awin win, you know. And you're
up there and you get people smilingand feeling the music and you're heaven.

(32:49):
I'm having a blast and I seesmiles. That's a win win. So
his brother. The story was hisbrother was eighteen and he was twelve,
and his brother was really interested ingirls and wasn't paying a ten to do
his drum set, and Roger goes, hey, he goes, gee,
can I practice on the drums? And he said sure, And that's how
it started twelve years old, whenhis brother became more interested in the ladies

(33:13):
and after his ten minutes set, nope, and it was a twelve minute
set. I'm just kidding. Ihave no idea, but I thought that
was what a great story, andI have to thank BZ for that because
I don't see stories like that onother stations. Necessarily, they're all you
know, Karen Reid and you know, Shooting's and b and Bez's out there

(33:36):
putting a hundred year old drummer fromBeverly on time. I love that he's
playing drums, me too. Next, comb stand, they should send him
out of Fenway Park and put himout there with some five gallon drums that
are turned up side. Oh,bucket drums. No, just give him
what he's comfortable with, which isa kid. Give him a drum set
only to be five piece. Hisnext goal, he says. His next
goal, he says, is tolearn YYZ from Rush exactly. The other

(33:59):
story, this doesn't necessarily feel good, but it could end that way,
is that two dozen dogs from Texasare arriving in Massachusetts and they need to
find new homes. Two dozen Okay, So the rescue is in partnership with
it's called American Humane to rescue twentyfive large breed dogs from Texas. They
arrived Tuesday afternoon. They were livingin a small rescue operation, so they

(34:23):
thought, you know, bring themup here. It was overrun. Bigger
said, yeah, they range inage from you can get a puppy twelve
weeks to ten years, and they'remostly large breed bixes. So I have
two Great Danes. I will tellyou I'm on a lot of Great Dane
lists and things, and even asof yesterday, I had someone ask me

(34:44):
if I could take in a Danethat a family just they were like,
it's she's just too big. AndI'm thinking to myself, did you not.
It's a great date. They're giant, and yes they there are things
about them, like my legs arecovered right now. I was dane punched
this morning when I tried to kissone goodbye and he got my legs bad.

(35:06):
But that's and it's just part ofit. They're just big. They're
just big dogs. Yeah, youknow territory, So if you have room
for a big dog. The MSPCAhas twenty five homes and your hearts open
your homes and your hearts. Andthen just real quick, I just want
to remind everybody don't shoot your gunswhile you're driving. Gunshots fired in a
road rage incident on ninety three. This happened near the brain Tree Split.

(35:30):
It happened in the shooting happened inone direction and the vehicle that was hit
was driving in the other direction, not involved at all in the road rage
incident. Kenny and I were talking. This is the third time in just
a couple of months that people arefiring off their pistols while driving their cars.
That's why I said, are wethe new Florida? Yes, we

(35:50):
are the new Florida. Please stopfiring off your pistols while you're driving,
right, Yeah, at least forthe other drivers too. So I have
to sit in traffic for two hours? Finger guns. Wasn't it at like
three o'clock in the afternoon yesterday? This wasn't even like to rush. You're
absolutely right. Yeah, your eggsat six z lex weathers Sonny and fifties
today and tomorrow. Pollen levels superhigh. Get ready for that one.

(36:14):
Lots of crying and snifflin. Thirtyfour degrees in Boston. I'm heather Ford
on one hundred point seven w zLX. Man, you're gonna need an
extra jacket out there, an extralaya. Let's getting young, Pete McKenzie.
Heather Ford. I'd like to takean important moment in the show here
to discuss the uh, the brandnew opportunity that Ritz Crackers is putting before

(36:34):
us, isn't it? New limitCrackers, new limited edition extra buttery flavor.
The reason I bring this up isbecause it could get you one of
those fancy big gold bars. That'sall the rage now, you know,
Chuck Woollery is not the only onetalking about the benefits of gold these days.
Costco has been selling gold pieces. And didn't you pick up an Empire

(36:57):
loan a gold flake or something? They called it gold bar, Kenny.
Yeah, but it was a verytiny piece of gold, my first,
my first investment of gold. Yes, I needed some sort of visual aid
to see it. I guess eightso small you didn't even bring it in.
Well, yeah, listen to whatRitz is doing because of their golden
buttery flavor loving fans whis Cracker isbuttery enough? I don't know if i'd

(37:20):
want actually not butter not according tothis marketing. Here's what they're doing.
They're going too or they're gonna giveaway all right, the Ultimate Prize A
twenty four carried gold bar in theshape of a stick of butter, in
homage to the extra buttery flavor thatfans know and love. Rich Cracker stepping
it up apparently this gold bar,and I bring it up because of your

(37:44):
eighty dollars flake. This one isworth one hundred grand. One hundred grand,
and if we know anything from thoseinvesting gold commercials that seem to run
on late night TV, you're goingto retain your value if not go up
all that limited edition crackers me while, will be available everywhere starting on Monday.
Chocolate covered these are the ones thatI love making. Or you take

(38:05):
the crackers and you put peanut butterin the middle and then you dip them
in chocolate. Have you ever triedthat? No, that looks next level
stuff right there? Sorry, yeah, look at that. Yeah, that's
amazing. I've seen the Ritz crackeralone dipped in you know, just like
half dipped into dark chocolate. Yes, yeah, but that's another level.
Yes it is. And I willbuy the extra buttery ones to make that
for the kids. Meanwhile, RitzCrackers enthusiasts, if you want to win

(38:29):
this one hundred thousand dollars gold bar, that's going to be up for grabs.
Yeah, they want you to goto TikTok and post a video.
Starting May first runs for the firstcouple of weeks of the month, so
you have to include certain hashtags. You can go to the RITZ website.
Look, I'm not I'm not tellingyou we're involved in this anyway, because
we clearly are not. But there'salso a mail in option if you're not

(38:51):
on the tiktoks. But look atlook at Ritz crackers stepping up their marketing
game. Amazing. Also on themoney note, on a financial note,
something you can bank on is thatwe'll have another thirteen grand up for grabs
today starting at nine ten. Yes, your thousand dollars, bribe back and
better than ever grab a grand thirteentimes every weekday. Let this guy tell

(39:12):
you about it. Kitty Young,Pete McKenzie, heather Ford. Well,
you know we were talking about Pete. You were getting into your golf league
yesterday one. Yeah, I gotout around twelve thirty yesterday twelve forty five,
played around. We ended up goingaround twice at my nine holer,
my hidden gem out there, wentaround twice, played eighteen holes in less

(39:32):
than four hours and never got wetonce. And in fact, the front
nine was glorious. It was likemid sixties blue sky sunshine. It was
nothing like what was to come laterin the afternoon. And it dawned on
me. While we were able toplay so fast, I wasn't walking.
We took carts. Usually I walk, Yeah, yeah, yeah, carts.

(39:53):
I'll make a difference. Took cartsyesterday. And I did something I'm
not proud of in the last threeweeks. I put on pan for the
second time. Not a big fanof the pants. But Pete, I
understand you didn't have quite the samefruitful, sunny outlook to your golf round.
Just a little bit. Let's findout. So what's going on with

(40:14):
Boston's only classic rock morning show onseven w zlex see with Kenny playing earlier
in the afternoon. It wasn't badonce that first wave of rain went through,
it was pretty nice for a fewhours. It was yeah yeah.
We on the other hand, betweenthree and seven pm experience every season there

(40:35):
is, right. I mean, there was one guy that started in shorts
and shortsleeve shirt and he finished inrain gear right a down park dress.
Had to tell covered it had totell nobody finished like I did. Though,
because Heather a year familiar with theWayland Country Club, I know,
oh yes, maybe not specific holes, but I will tell you on the

(40:55):
twelfth hole to the left of thetee area is a pond which my drive
was so bad I hit it intothe pond, which was like eighty yards
away. Yeah, so I walkover to that area, I see my
ball. It's a step down tothe shore of the pond, if you
will. And then I was goingto reach out with my golf club to

(41:17):
drag the ball back and was sittingon top of the swamp area. Yeah.
So I put one leg down andfelt comfortable with that. I put
the second leg down and immediately sunkup to my up to my knee,
which caused me to lose my balance, spin around backwards. Oh my god,

(41:40):
like a comedy, fell flat onmy back. Yes, I did
cross. I'm gonna gets a lookat the what's your accent? So having

(42:00):
hit the driving, the fores theywere all like fifty yards away from you.
Oh, they didn't see this happen. One of the guys happened to
see it happen and said, Petewent down. I could hear him.
I could hear him go, Petewent down. Meanwhile, your leg's trapped
and you're drowning because you can't getout of the muck. I'm laying on
my back. No, on therapMy leg came up, but I'm like

(42:22):
floating in this compost pile of leavesand twigs and dirty swamp water? Was
there green water too? I managedto get to my feet without sinking.
I'm so lucky I didn't sink, and these guys hoisted me out and I
am covered literally back of my neckto my shoes and swamp. It smelled

(42:47):
like you know what it smelled like? Oh yeah, smelled like ass yeah,
because that's what compost smells like.Oh right, now here's the incredible
thing. Because somehow that's a partfive. So I had another four hundred
yards to go, right other whateight holes to go or no? Six
holes? Did they leave you anddrive off? Well, we weren't in
carts. We were walking and thewind kicked up so hard. I was

(43:10):
telling these guys, I feel likeI'm in a dryer because the wind is
blowing and it's it's a cool wind. It's a cool wind. And then
on the next hole, on thirteen, the sun comes out. So after
getting dried by the wind, thesun comes out and drives me off.
By the time I got to theend of the round, nobody you couldn't

(43:31):
look at me and say that Ifell on a swamp. Really, I
swear that's what they told you.Huh, until until they came up to
me, until they came up tome and smelled me, because I smelled
like swamp. That's awful. Doyou bring spra Do you to bring spear
clothes when you golf? I bringlayers like I'll bring rain jacket or a
pull over or something to stay warm. You will bring an extra pair of

(43:52):
pants and underpants. Might From nowon, I think you should. No,
I'm not. I'm never gonna gointo a swamp again. You know,
Yeah you are. It's now thatyou say it that way. You're
totally falling into a swamp. It'sone golf ball, and now that I
get a dozen worth ten bucks,there's there's no way I'm going. I'm
just telling you, now that yousaid I'm never going to, you are
totally going to. You should bringspare clothes, right, Pete? You

(44:14):
might have wrapped up the round dryand sunny and breezy, but I bet
there was still a smell right wherethat smell comes from? With a smell,
is that? Yeah? That smell? You know? It's really weird.
Like my wife never comes to thegolf course, and I asked her,
you know, it's our first aakeand Franny and I are a drink
with us when we totally did soshe got to come in, have a

(44:35):
beer and experience all the laughter.Pete, yeah about her husband falling into
the swamp on number two one toshow up at all of them now,
right exactly? She I guess shewas sleeping in a separate room last night.
Well, you know she hosed youoff before she let you inside.
It was more the truck, Kenny, you know, having to get into
my pickup truck with that. Youknow, when I parked the truck last

(44:59):
night, I just rolled down theback windows and hope for the best.
But I can still smell it.I can smell it on the knowledge and
manner. You know that you're not. It doesn't. It's like when you
get hit by a skunk. Youthink you could smell it for forever,
right, I don't sell Hey,you don't can't smell. I know you
can't. I don't even know ifyou do. You know how, you're
in that smell for a long time, even when you're not in. You're
like, did I just smell that? I can smell it again. Boy

(45:22):
damn, I wish somebody had videoedthat. Oh god. And and on
top of it, I shot afifty one like so bad, it's bad.
Oh that's bad. That's like morethan I normally do. I'm telling
you would have gone viral if thatgot on the socials seven fifty Now swamp

(45:45):
Creature. Pete mackenzie, thank youfor the update here at the elect from
a planet fitness do you see electstudios now? Thanks for making us part
of your morning idiot, great story, Thank god. On a w Cox
BOSSU last hour, we talked aboutone hundred year old drummer in Beverly who's
still kicking. Turned one hundred onApril twentieth. World War two Vet still

(46:08):
has a band. Oh god,I erased that story, but the band's
name was Folded Voltage. It wasvery metal, m right, yeah,
lots of it tired. And soI followed that fun story with a feel
good story off of CVB. Thatfirst one was WBZ. This one on
CVB, Boston's Cathedral High School, serving lower income families, got a thirty

(46:30):
million dollar donation from former students.Someone who had what they said, walked
the hall decades ago walked the hallsdecades ago, doesn't want to be share
who he is, but has donatedthe thirty million dollars. And sometimes when
you know, when you're thinking aboutthe money you receive, like from lottery,

(46:52):
like you know when you you've plannedwhere you're gonna spend it, like
I'm gonna buy a house here andI'm gonna buy someone that I always thinking
to myself, wouldn't it be greatto get because we we raised so much.
I went to a place I livedin a place called Washingtonville, New
York, and uh, the elementaryschool I went to was Taft, named
after the President, and so TaftElementary School. When I was there,

(47:13):
fund raised real hard for a newplayground that only lasted a little while because
it was made out of wood andthe splinters were like murder did yeah?
Yes, But do you remember thosethose wooden playgrounds that were popular for a
hot second in the eighties that lookedlike villages and then they were replaced by
the plastic ones after really colorful one. They had rope climbs and they had

(47:36):
like little castle turrets and you hadto walk across bridges. Yeah, it
was all pressure treated exactly. Weraised money for that, like by and
you would buy a popsicle stick. And I remember, and sometimes when I
think about getting money, I think, I'm going to build Taft Elementary School.
The best playground. This guy's likethrough that not just a playground.
I am going to get thirty milliondollars of the school I went to.

(48:00):
Wow, that's awesome. And thething about this Boston school serves mostly black
and Latino students from lower income neighborhoods. So the school itself doesn't have a
big budget now for years, wellfor a little while, but they maybe
could do some things. And that'sawesome. It is. Yeah, So

(48:20):
that's a good feel good story becauseyou gotta do that story first. When
the second story you're gonna do offof CVB. Also, by the way,
is gunshot fired during ninety three roadrage incident in Braintree. Hits truck
on the other side of highway. And if you watch the video, so
the guy's driving the other direction,he's going southbound on this If you watch
the video, he's talking to policefrom you could see from the helicopter he's

(48:45):
lifting up his shirt and showing themwhere the bullet grazed his belly like he's
just driving. He wasn't even involvedin the road rage. The road rage
was in the other direction by thesplit, right through the door, right
through his driver's side door. Ye, keep your guns to yourself. This

(49:05):
is the third time, and justit feels like a half year where gunfire
is erupted while driving. Please,I know somebody is looking out. You
know that somebody would do that. It's just it's happening all the time.
So there's a witness. I meanpeople, there's businesses, there's people,
there's other cars hearing what happened.I just heard a series of pops.

(49:27):
I had heard the four shots andthen squoialing tires. The guy got out,
he's looking at his door. Thegentleman in the truck was checking himself,
looking inside and outside of the truckright now. You know, people
being crazy trying to get nowhere fast, you know, and innocent people,
the ones that can hurt. Theworld's gotten crazy. Unfortunately, had to
feel like it's kind of the newno One. Unfortunately. Police use the
word state. Police describe the injuryas extremely minor. Yeah, but you

(49:52):
know what bullet I can't eat.Trauma, Yeah, mental trauma I got
grazed by a bullet. I drivethat every day. I'm on ninety right.
It's bad enough you got to gothrough the tunnels and worry about ceiling
tiles falling on you. You gotto worry about gunfire people. I know,

(50:12):
I just I was saying earlier thismorning. My father and mother would
have talks with us about different thingsto be careful about. Not once did
either of them sit me down forthe road rage leads to gunfire talk,
which I have had with both ofmy boys numerous times now. Don't if
someone is agitated with you driving, just pull over and let them go past.
Yeah, it's era. You know. If someone is pulling up to

(50:37):
you and they're they're flipping you offand they're doing things, just keep driving,
get off of the earliest eggs thatyou can, and then get back
on right after that happens. Isaid it earlier, I'll say it again.
I hope we're not becoming the newFlorida. Well, and with boys,
it's it's a different thing. LikeI just I know how you know,
angry boys can get it. Thelast time I got into a road

(50:59):
rage incident was here, probably inthe early two thousands. Going back and
forth with a guy, and weboth pulled over. I forget what highway
we were on, like four ninetyfive. We both pulled over to the
shoulder of the road like we weregoing to get out and do something,
and then we both pulled away.Neither one of us got out of our
cars, and and he was infront of me, so he pulled away

(51:22):
first. Yeah, exactly. Soin my mind, that's the last time
I'm getting in a roads rate becausewho knows what I happened if we got
out of our cars. I know, I'm not nothing good would have happened.
What were you driving at the time? Was it a scary looking car
like your car? Now? Thatwas the Jeep? I think the Grand
Cherokee? The pickup truck? Becausewho would want to get into an argument

(51:43):
with someone in a pickup truck?Right, I'm afraid to flip off the
bird anymore. You shouldn't be doingit anyway. But we get so angry.
How should I express my age?Not like that? Well, the
first job I ever gotten teaching inNew York, it was a district called
Valley Central. The guy that washiring me had just moved up to that
position because the guy before him hadbeen killed with a bow and arrow in

(52:04):
a road rage incident Route eighty fourright right, and the car they never
caught the person who did it.This was in New York. The car
that was associated with the murdering NewHampshire plates. Okay, if that was
from a moving vehicle, I'm impressed. I'm not even angry. Nope,
this was got out of a carkind of situation. Wow. Yeah,
yeah, was a crossbow? Yeahyeah. The lex weeather sonny in fifties

(52:27):
today and tomorrow. Pollen levels superhigh thirty four degrees in Boston. I'm
heather Ford on one hundred point sevenw z lx next early next week.
Seventies' that's what I saw on somemodels. Maybe approaching eighty in someplace.
Oh man, bringing parents told meup in upstate New York. Oh love
it, bring it on May.Yeah, I have the the lamest update

(52:51):
ever. Do we want the lamestupdate ever on my revolutions? Yeah,
we've been tracking it all week.About you put a those messy tickets up
for grabs. I call a messytickets, I know you do. Yeah,
Well, I mean that's where thevalue is, right right, No,
I'm with you again. I havefour season tickets. They're in the
seventh row. They were right infront of the way bench. For the

(53:15):
most part, is that for theRevolution? Did you say revolution? Sorry,
I've been dying get that in.I'm a season ticket holder and I
love watching them win, and ilove watching them play, and I'm not
necessarily excited about watching them lose toMiami. And I don't want to be

(53:38):
in the stadium when tens of thousandsof people cheer on the opposing team.
When Messi scores a goal, likeI'm just not that doesn't excite me.
And see, I respect that becausethat's a true fan. You are a
fan of the Revolution and you're not. I mean, you're a fan of
Messi and you respect him. I'veseen him play live. I watched him

(53:58):
at Gillette play for Argentina. Butyou don't want to see him be your
team. I don't want to watchpeople cheer for him against the rest,
which is what will happen. Ohmy god, it will. Yes,
there's going to be yes. Yeah, I are tens of thousands of fans
just going to see him, hopefullyplay right and score. There's tens of
there's tens of thousands of people whoare going just to watch him score,
and he plays for Miami. Arethey good? Yeah? Yeah, they

(54:21):
never ye their first place, butyou were last by a lot. By
the way, you could not onlymake what you spent on your season tickets
back, but a hefty profit Imight be able to. I mean,
so for for each ticket, Ipay a little over six hundred dollars for
the whole season, so that myone seed is six hundred dollars. I
get to go to all the homegames, right, yes, I mean,

(54:43):
and you know it'd be more thanthat. It's going to go for
more than that. It might besome of them in that general area we're
going for eight nine hundred dollars. But the problem is, I feel I
just feel weird putting them center field, putting them up for sale, sorry
midfield, I know, putting themup for sale, and then like something
happens. I don't know. Ijust I'm waiting for my husband to be

(55:04):
in the general area. And eventhough he was home yesterday in the evening,
we were so tired that we bothdid our own like sleepy things,
like we fell asleep right next toeach other at like seven thirty. I
don't need to make money. Yeah, I don't know. It wasn't even
like we don't need to make money. It's just this wasn't something we had
planned to make money off of.Right. We put money aside for these

(55:27):
season tickets each year. It's somethingwe decide we're going to spend money on
and not go on to vacation, and so we we spend the money on
the tickets. It but you knewfrom the beginning that the messy game was
going to be. I actually thoughtyou I thought I didn't think. Remember,
in the very beginning, I waslike, there's no way he's going
to play it's turf. Yeah.Did the Revolution do what the Pats did

(55:47):
when Brady came back with the Bucksand they raised the rate of the game
to a premium level, I haveno idea. I don't know what they
did with the tickets, single ticketsbecause we were part of her package,
right and be part of your pack, you know. Yeah, those season
tickets were just the same price.Like when I went to that Brady game,
that prime time get we had topay more for the ticket because it
was considered a premium game. SoI'm wondering if they jacked up the price

(56:10):
because they knew Mess he's going tobe one for the season ticket. Here
is the one thing I thought theywere going to do and I don't think
they are, but don't hold meto it, is that parking for Revs
games is free. And I thoughtthey were going to charge for parking like
they do for Pats games. Right, doesn't Craft charge? I think it's
fifty or sixty bucks? Right.I think it's still free. So he
could have made money off of itthat way, and he's choosing not to,

(56:32):
which, well, yeah, becausehe's gonna have sixty five thousand people
there, could have a ton ofpeople. The signs are a lot of
money. Yeah. The signs areup on Route one that I pass every
day there is a soccer event, and usually it's like yeah, whatever,
But now it's like there was aSaga event. Aren't they making a commuter
rail like ten Bucks flat? Yeah? I that I saw too. I
live right there and I want toget there early. If I'm going,

(56:53):
I want to get there early enoughto be in my regular parking spot,
which is right near the Putnam.Yeah. So the rumor again is because
we talked to somebody who's going tobe there right. One of our colleagues
here from Rumba, and he hadmentioned the fact that they were planning on
putting sod down. He had heardin a meeting somewhere that they're putting sod
down to accommodate messy. I hadn'theard that. Yeah, I mean,

(57:15):
that didn't. That doesn't. Everytime I've seen them do that, which
is twice I think, or maybeonce, it just was lifting up,
like the strips of it were liftingup. Can't be safe. Every time
a soccer player pivoted. That wouldbe worse which just a lot stopping on
a dime cutting pivoting. Yeah,I can imagine. I don't know,
don't I don't know. I'm goingto try again tonight. My husband and
I are going to Ford and Iare going to sit down and think about

(57:37):
selling those tickets again tonight. Ijust don't want to screw it up and
all of a sudden I end upwithout my tickets and without the money.
I am so excited for you tomake several hundred dollars anyway off of those
tickets. I'm going to hear it. I'm going to hear it this week,
or I go to the game andI enjoy myself six five thousand people
who are enjoying soccer all at thesame time. Yeah, supposed to be

(57:58):
k a nice night. Think it'sa win win for me. The part
is not being able to sell thetickets and losing the tickets, right,
I have to figure out all thedifferent ways. I know. Well,
if we're on the subject of tickets, we have some not for that game,
but for the game of rock androll. George Thorogood and the Destroyers
hitting a Wilbur in June Wilbur ClassicRock Clash eight forty. Pete McKenzie's line

(58:22):
of questioning, couldn't let you yourticket to rock? Yes, sir,

morning show, Tom Petty playing therole of the mad Hatter in the video
for that track if you remember, and just peak eighties music video right there,

(58:45):
and Alice was turned into a cakeof sorts in the videos. It's
a little trippy. If we're beinghonest with ourselves here. It is eight
thirty nine now, Kenny Young,Pete McKenzie, heather Ford and let's bring
this gentleman Dennis into the old here, Dennis from West Roxbury. Good morning,
Good morning, How are we doing? What's what's popping over there?

the kids, ce Pete, youwent in a dessert direction. I was

(01:01:28):
thinking, like entrees appetizers. Dessertswere very prevalent in classic rock. I
hear you, brother, all right, listen, Dennis, I know you
got a lot going on right there. We're gonna put you on hoole,
get some info and send you anda guest to George Thoroughgood June eighteenth at

(01:01:50):

the TD Garden New Year's Eve.I guess screaming Steven Tyler is back to
screaming. So get that going forus, which is nice. It's Kenny
Young, Pee McKenzie heather Ford eightto fifty two on its way up to
the upper forties, low fifties todaydespite the sunshine. As we're creeping closer

(01:02:12):

Pete, thank you, good night. The bon Jovie Story, Oh
of course, yes, new docuseries only on Hulu starts streaming tomorrow.
You have been watching a few interviewswith jb. Oh, he's been everywhere.
Yeah and yeah. He's lending someinsight into you know, what went

(01:02:37):
on, how he wasn't a partof it so much, you know,
as far as the backstage antics go. Yeah, well, if I believe
it or not, he's been withhis wife, Dorothea. Hopefully I'm pronouncing
that properly. Since they were inhigh school. Wife schmife, Kenny rockstar
in your back. Come on,come on, it's not like women were
throwing themselves out. No, notanything, not with that here listen.

(01:03:00):
So the streaming series starts tomorrow, right. But iHeartRadio Live is another special
with John bon Jovi. We're goingto have the exclusive w z X brings
you iHeart Radio Live with John bonJovi celebrating that new series. You can
watch it now on iHeartRadio's YouTube channel. All right, to get you fired
up for that series. Wife andI always looking for a good series.

(01:03:21):
In fact, she asked me aboutthat last night. She goes, we
need to start something new, andshe goes, when does that bon Jovi
thing? I said, this isthe actual conversation we had last night over
soup, and I said, it'sstarting Friday, right, she said?
She said, all right, wellwe got to watch it. I said,
yeah, I will definitely watch it. You know, it's a fan
of the music and whatnot here. But you know, we ended up watching

(01:03:43):
instead. And I think it cameoff of your suggestion or Heather, you
had brought the name up to mebecause I'd never heard of it. Baby
rain Deer yeah, I'd mentioned thatI didn't think I could watch it.
I had seen the clip on Netflix. I'd watched the clip like three times,
and I was like, this istoo intense for me. Its tough,
not a feel good dark comedy. That is it a dark comedy.

(01:04:04):
It was billed as a dark comedythriller in the you know the headline on
Netflix, and it's a it's abased on a true story kind of thing.
And then after you and I hadtalked about it, we had seen
one of our friends from another radiostation talk about how much he loved it,
and so, but I'm still notgoing to watch him. Number one
in the country streaming series right nowon Netflix is This Baby Reindeer. If

(01:04:27):
you're not familiar with it, aboutthis Scottish dude moves to London. Quick
backstory here. He's a bartender, want to be his dream is to be
a stand up comic, and hegets a stalker and this is a stalker
too, Well, he's a bartree. Yeah, yeah, she comes
in and then their lives get intertwinedand then his don't give too much away.

(01:04:47):
I don't want to give too Apparentlyyou shouldn't even describe what it is
besides saying stalker and then it justbecause everybody needs to experience it as they
go. Really well done. I'llstick with the John Bond jove really well
yeah, yeah, that's going tobe lighter fair for sure, but it
was, it's really well done.We got like we ripped through three episodes
last night. But the worst partof it was is I watched it at

(01:05:08):
night before bed and then so itall just came back of like you know,
possible super fan stalker scenario things, and I'm like, God, Mab,
that never happened. Thank God,that has never happened. Yeah,
wait for my next appearance. Right, it was anxiety riddled, right riddled.
Rather listen, we are now aboutfifteen minutes away from your first one
thousand dollars payoff that'll take the stingof a stalker out of your mind.

(01:05:30):
Right one hundred POINTSWZL ex Boston's onlyclassic rock morning show. Hey did you
grab a thousand bucks? At nineten? Like we were telling you about,
Well, don't worry if you missedout on that first one thousand dollars
broad We have twelve more today, happening every hour on the tents right through
nine ten PM. Tonight. CarterAllan will have your next keyword, your
keystone, if you will, comingup at ten ten this morning. So

(01:05:54):
you know the big the big thingtonight is the NFL Draft and the Patriots
having the number three pick in thedraft after what they'll do. Keep in
mind when you tune in to watchthe NFL Draft, don't forget. I
mean, if you're still a fanand you still have some feelings for him,
Bill Belichick is going to be broadcastingwith Pat McAfee yes during the draft,

(01:06:15):
during the draft, so he'll bewith Pat McAfee tonight, if you're
see. I think he's going tothrive in that, right, I do.
I don't he's going to geek outdoing this. I think he will,
and his personality is going to show. I don't think it's going to
yet because he's not sure if he'sgoing to be back in the NFL yet.
I don't think he's going to letanything show yet. So here's here's
another clue as to Bill Bill Belichick'sfuture. Now that you've mentioned that,

(01:06:39):
you know there's a possibility. Imean, look at he hasn't This is
the first time in fifty years hehasn't been on an NFL sideline, right,
Okay, the word is that he'sgoing to be joining the Manning cast.
Okay, now, the Manning Cast, if you're unfamiliar, they have
never had a repeat guest okay,on their on theirs. I didn't know

(01:07:00):
that either. I mean I didn'twatch it enough to know that. I
never watched it. So he Theword is he may become a part a
repeated visitor to the Manning cast. Are going to keep him in like a
cage in the corner. Let's askBill better go wake up the what I
just I know that he's going tobe talking tonight, and I think you

(01:07:23):
might see personality. But I don'tknow if he's necessarily going to give away
secrets because I think he just wantsto still keep those close to the vest
as to how he thinks and whathe about these players. Yeah, just
in general, I think he's gotso much insight that's I believe that that's
extra that he will share some ofthat good. I'm glad. I hope
he's also they say, writing abook and developing a podcast. Writing a

(01:07:46):
book that should be really interesting.Listen if you're a draft novice or you're
just a feigning interest, or youjust want to find out if the Pats
are actually going to select somebody atnumber three overall draft at eight o'clock tonight,
each team gets ten minutes in roundone per selection. Now, if
you just want to tune in forthe Patriots, according to Mike Race here

(01:08:08):
at number three, they should beon the clock. Should be on the
clock around eight twenty to eight thirtytonight, the Patriots, right, so
they're thereabouts. They're pretty strict withthat clock once it starts. Yeah,
yeah, they try to say thedraft starts, I mean, right right.
I always think of those guys thatare all you know, well,
I should say the audience really atat the draft, because when every time

(01:08:29):
they announced the Patriots by name, the whole crowd booze, you know what
I mean. It's like become socliche now. And then you also have
those guys that are just like sodowntrodden when they're really hoping their team's going
to get the guy they wanted, and then they cut to reaction shots,
you know what I mean. It'susually the Jets fans. Yeah, really,
the Jets fans here. You mightbe surprised to know this. I

(01:08:50):
found this data that the New EnglandPatriots are actually better drafters in the last
decade than they're getting credit for,or you know, local media has been
giving them credit for. According tothis outfit Beltway, the Patriots have drafted
seven players who have made all rookieteams and three Pro Bowlers throughout the last
ten years, putting the New EnglandPatriots approximately fifteenth as the best drafters in

(01:09:15):
the last ten years. Yeah, nothing's happened in the last four or five
though, last one playoff appearance inthe last four I know. I'm just
telling you what the numbers are tellingyou. Here, screw the Beltway,
your former or your current Super Bowlchampion. Kansas City Chiefs are ranked number
one on this draft scale as thebest drafters of the last ten years,

(01:09:38):
followed by Rams, Cowboys, Lions. So yeah, draft action. Draft
fever is gripping the nation. Hereyou get a quarterback, yeah, please,
please get a quarter But Boston's onlyclassic rock morning show nine fifty now
Kenny Young had four. Pete McKenzieforty degrees out of doors beautiful sunny skies

(01:09:58):
though a little cooler, but don'tworry, weather fans. I guess early
next week as we round out themonth of April and welcome May into the
world. Seventies to look at,Heather, I think you mentioned some spots
might see eighty early next week.My parents upstate New York. Oh,
so that means in my estimations,it's coming this way. I mean,
it seems so similar. Yeah, unless Canada ruins it and sucks up all

(01:10:20):
the warm air. You know what, thanks Canada. Ay listen, I
saw this real quick. Most popularapps in Massachusetts? Are they porn?
Coming in at number one? No, they didn't even rank in the top
ten of those sites I've read about. Are there porn apps? I have
read about a few, Okay, and I didn't know if they were just
websites or if there were apps forporn. I didn't think there are.

(01:10:43):
I think there are no surprise inthe state of Massachusetts. According to the
research and the data, YouTube comingin clear and away the winner is the
most every state. Yeah. Yeah, Twitter formally I'm sorry X formerly known
as Twitter at number two, whichis surprising. Yeah. I mean I
talked to a lot of people atthey seem to be waning away from Twitter.

(01:11:04):
I know. I don't put alot on there. I put our
full show podcasts and the Happy Endingup there. I think I stopped a
year ago. Yeah, a lotof folks have been too, but surprisingly
from Massachusetts, they come in atnumber two, followed by Snapchat TikTok,
surprising that Instagram was all the waydown at number seven. I'm actually surprised
TikTok wasn't number two. Yeah, yeah, I would have thought that would
