(00:01):
Boston's only class o'clock morning shows. We'll ask you again, would anyone else
like a clementine was just gifted froma salesperson? Okay, let me see
one, Just pick one. Throwthey're fresh. I'll tell you if they're
any good. She got them overat the Wegmans down the street here.
Sure, my hands aren't clean, though. These are a little bigger than

(00:22):
the uh what were the other onesthat I had? These are bigger than
the ones we bought last week.My hands were clean. I would challenge
you toppeeling this clementine without breaking theskin, without breaking the skin, or
doing it at one piecee Oh,yeah, I already fucked that up.
But I usually can do it withjust one piece. Now, if you
get a good pull off of it. I just sanitized. That's why i'm

(00:46):
bare fist. Yeah, I don'thave any of that going on. So
the wife the other night, whenit was nice out in the evening,
before I got up from my nap, she went outside with a couple of
these. I was talking to afriend to hers on the phone on our
patio. So when I woke up, I didn't know this unbetownst to me.
I didn't know When I came downstairsfrom the nap, I looked out
and there was a bunch of littleclementine peels on the wall surrounding our patio

(01:11):
squirrel That's what I thought, Well, what the hell's that doing out there?
Sure, and she goes. Ithought I threw that away, left
it out there, and the animalshad at it. Oh yeah, yeah,
but at least our squirrels smell good. Yeah, of course, seeds
in there no very rare. DoI find a seed in clementine anymore?
It's rare. I haven't hit oneyet. But that's a good that's a

(01:32):
good snack. I like to eatthese because it makes you feel like I'm
jealous actually watching you eat it becauseI can't eat Should I eat it slower?
Why can't you eat yours? Igot I gotta go wash my hands
before I peel it. What ifyou get a sanitary towel, Well,
they don't buckle under the pressure.Beat. If you don't want to eat
it yet, don't fucking eat it. Listen, it's your fucking fault you

(01:57):
eat it. You talked about foodin the Clash today classic rock songs with
food in the subject matter. Well, I was inspired by the homemade chocolate
chip cookies that somebody delivered that weresitting in the heat and eat one.
Did you No, nobody has.I don't think I looked at it that
box a couple of times. Somelistener of another station here right delivered those

(02:17):
ten second review that nobody asked for. On this Clementine I just housed.
Yes, although bigger than the oneswe bought last week at the Roach Brothers.
These larger Clementines from the Wegmans lackingflavor. I said it it's not
as sweet. It's kind of bland. Okay. They do vary from Clementine

(02:38):
to clementine, you know, fromthe same bag. So we'll see it.
This is what I'm talking about.Right there, that's a peel on
an orange. Nice jobot breaking it. It's like a seahorse. Yes,
you remember the uh or the initialof my last name. Was it?
The seahorses the Brian shrimp used toget in that magic jar, remember it,
like as kids you dump it into. They were called something but they

(03:00):
weren't really seahorses, but they werecalled like Brian shrimp or something, but
there was a name for him. They used to I think they used to
call him seahorses or something. That'sa fucking good clemming tine. Mind,
you gotta go to it was alittle bland, little bland. I'm not
gonna look a gift horse them.I should probably sit feel weird standing,

(03:21):
but sometimes I liked to stand. Why is uh why is mac Jones trending
right now? Mac Jones? Really? Why is his name trending? That's
funny. I looked him up.I'd forgotten when he was drafted, you
know, uh number wise in thedraft. So there were three quarterbacks taken

(03:44):
before mac Jones, and one ofthem was Zach Wilson. You know what
a bust he's been. Oh youknow what, As a flashback to earlier
in the show, when we weretalking about the draft, are you ready
for this? Of the twenty twentyone first round quarterbacks taken in that year's
draft, let's see. You gotTrevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance,

(04:09):
can't tell you justin fields and MacJones. Mac Jones has taken fifteenth
that year. So of those fivequarterbacks, only one is a starter with
the team that drafted them, andthat's Trevor Lawrence. That's the number on
all the other draft. Yeah, all the other quarterbacks are either being traded
or they're backups. They're not evenstarting. So interesting. I heard an

(04:29):
interesting take on getting a quarterback foran NFL team as a general manager.
But I don't know. I mean, you have to start somewhere with a
quarterback, right, So do youyou know what I mean? With a
good quarterback, because that's the waythe league is based on having a great
starting quarterback. Yeah, well he'sstill you know. Yeah, the hard

(04:51):
part is drafting one because you haveto get the best. You have to
pay a fortune for him, andif he busts, you're fucked. It's
a gamp, right, it's aconstant gamble. So if it was me
and you know, like my youknow, like Mike tom Brady retired,
I need a new quarterback, Iwould definitely I wouldn't draft. I wouldn't

(05:14):
find him through the draft. Iwould bring in an established veteran free agent
that's kind of more guaranteed that you'regoing to get some production out of him,
right, and then somebody learning anew system being a rookie, and
then wait for guys like for example, Baker Mayfield number one pick in the
draft, Brown's paid him a shitloadof money. He busted then, boy

(05:41):
how he did he make out thoughwith him? But then the Bucks rejuvenated
his career and then he's gotten Theygot him at a bargain comparatively speaking,
as far as the number one draftpick goes. It took a couple of
years, but now he's affordable. And remember he was the number one pick
in the draft for a reason, because he's dowented. So I just clicked

(06:04):
on why mac Jones is trending andthe first thing that came up was a
picture of Drake May, who manyare suspecting the Pats may take at number
three tonight, which is supposed tohappen, I guess. Incidentally, according
to Mike Reese, somewhere between eighttwenty and eight thirty is when the Patriots
should be on the clock, youknow. So so anyway, this picture

(06:26):
comes up and it says Drake Maylooks like the offspring of Tom Brady and
Mack Jones. And now I can'tunsee it. Oh that's why, yeah,
kids fit. I know little tonext to nothing about him other than
he's highly touted North Carolina. See, I couldn't even tell you that Heather.
Yeah. And the last quarterback thatcame out highly touted from North Carolina

(06:46):
was Mitch Trubisky, who now playsfor the Buffalo Bills Pittsburgh Steelers. I
think he left Mitch Trubisky. Oh, oh, is he with the Bills.
I think he's with the Bills becausethey said his house is on the
market because he plays for the Bill. Hear that? Let me, well,
let me look that up, becausethat could have just been a joke.
I mean, you talk about aguy that you know, he was
like highly touted in the draft andyou know he's been in the league for

(07:11):
I don't know how your team,Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Bills. Wow,
So Josh Allen's backup yep. Kindof looks like a different version of Josh
Allen in these pictures. It's justkind of funny, kind of a bearded,
yeah, more chiseled Josh Allen.Oh, that's right, because Justin
Fields went to the Steelers, that'sright. Yes, And isn't he going

(07:35):
to be is he going to bethe backup? He's going to be the
backup to Wilson who's coming in forone year. Who yeah, wow,
Yeah, I mean it's it's alittle quirky, but the Steelers always make
it happen. You know, theyare you know, I mean, they're
always competitive. Yeah, I'll giveyou that. They're always competitive for sure.

(07:58):
Will you watch the draft? Watchit till the Patriots pick or trade
the pick? Yeah, if theytrade the pick, I'm not going to
stay up and find out who they'renot, what offensive tackle they're going to
take. Right exactly what I usuallydo with this draft, because, like
I said, I know, fuckall about college players is I'll wait till
like the draft's mostly done, orat least the first three rounds are done,

(08:20):
and then I'll I'll log onto socialmedia and see like what the assessment
is on these guys, like whatposition players did they take, how do
they fit into you know, scalewise and rank and all that, what
their girlfriend looks like. That wasBoston's only classic rock morning shows, Happy
