OJ Simpson... Good Riddance

Good riddance. That was my honestreaction to the news yesterday of the death
of OJ Simpson. Apparently he diedof cancer at the age of seventy six,
and look to give the devil hisdue. He was a remarkable NFL
football player, one of the bestrunning backs to have ever played the game.

Frankly, I liked him in someof those movies where he was with
the Leslie Nielsen and the Naked Gun. But everything changed that fateful night in
nineteen ninety four when his ex wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron
Goldman were butchered and that's the word, butchered by OJ Simpson wielding a knife,

and then he got away with it. I'll never forget that trial.
I was a young man twenty fiveyears old. I remember watching it,
following it closely. The prosecution bunglethe case, the LAPD botched the investigation,
and Simpson's legal team, the socalled Dream Team, played the race

card to the hilt and the juryended up acquitting Simpson. But make no
mistake about it, he may havebeen acquitted, but he was guilty.
Guilty, guilty. Now there wassome rough justice, a little bit of
karma. He would eventually go tojail for nine years, not on murder,

which he should have gone to jailfor the rest of his life or
frankly even given to death penalty.But instead, this thug broke into a
Las Vegas hotel room to steal sportsmemorabilia that he claimed was taken from him,
stolen from him, and he broughtin some of his fellow thugs who

were armed. Simpson was caught,he was arrested, and he was convicted
for armed robbery and kidnapping. Heended up serving nine years in jail.
Unlike Nicole Brown Simpson, he stillmanaged to live many years and a lot
of it a freeman. The mediais trying to claim he's a hero,

a civil rights trailblazer who got acquittedbecause he stood up to a racist,
white criminal justice system. It isabsolutely disgusting. O. J. Simpson
should have been behind bars at aminimum for the rest of his life.
And remember, nobody talks about thevictims. Nicole Brown Simpson slaughtered. Ron

Goldman slaughtered. They had two childrentogether, Nicole and Oj. They lost
a mother who even OJ Simpson admittedwas a wonderful mom. Ron Goldman's parents,
Fred Goldman, in particular, wereheartbroken, crushed, devastated, never

the same again. OJ Simpson killed, murdered, and destroyed a lot of
people in his life. And tobe brutally honest with you, when I
heard that he died yesterday, youknow what, I was happy. I'm
serious. You know what, Oj, Now you're gonna meet your maker and

where you end up, it's awfullyhot, and you're gonna be hot for
eternity. And that's the real punishmenthe deserves.
