Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boston's Bulldozer operates seven days a week. The Kooner Report
Weekend edition WRKO, the voice of Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
President Trump now celebrates his first one hundred days in office,
and the media goes after him with everything they have.
Good morning Cooner Country. Okay, my friends, boydes time fly.
Huh when you're having fond as time fly. So we
(00:33):
have finally now reached a very important milestone. Frankly, it
wasn't an important milestone prior to the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt,
but after his first hundred days, where there was a
flurry of action unprecedented in American history, this became sort
of like a benchmark to judge a newly elected president's
(00:57):
first three months in office.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
How much did they get done or.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Accomplished during what in most times is considered a honeymoon period.
And if you look by any objective measures, number one,
there was no honeymoon for Trump, which was very different
than what FDR and other presidents had, but still by
any objective measure, president Trump has had. And I will
(01:26):
challenge anybody, and I said this on X and I'm
going to say it now, anybody to debate me on
this key fact, which is to me self evident, Trump
has had the most consequential, successful, and I believe, greatest
(01:49):
one hundred days in American history. Now I'm not saying
his second term is going to.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Be the greatest.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
We still have to see how it ends, obviously, but
if you're just gonna judged by the first one hundred days,
it has been unprecedented. It has been immensely consequential, and
it has been incredibly successful. And I challenge anyone to
debate me on this. And what I find even more
shocking and more stunning is that rather than at least
(02:21):
acknowledge the energy of the first one hundred days, the
almost unparalleled activity, the ambition, the scope, the drive, the
consequences of everything he's achieved in three months, the media,
on the contrary, has attacked him with everything they have.
(02:46):
I've never seen anything like this. Even in his first term.
It was bad, it was very bad, but it wasn't
like this.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
This is an all out assault.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
And I'm choosing my phrase here very carefully, my works
words very carefully. This is an all out assault on Trump,
his policies, his administration, his legitimacy. I mean, they are
going for this man's throat. They want him to fail.
(03:17):
They want the country to fail. They want his agenda
and it's America First vision to fail. And they are
gonna lie, lie, lie, lie, to convince the American people
that the first hundred days have been a catastrophe, as
they're now unanimously saying, it's it's unanimity across the board.
(03:39):
As I said yesterday, Wall Street Journal, which is the
crown jewel of the Rupert Murdoch financial empire. I know,
technically Fox News is their sexy you know, their sexy
outlet where you know they get what is it, three
four million viewers. But if you really want to know
(04:00):
what drives Fox News, the content of Fox News, it's
the Wall Street Journal. That that's the one Murdoch prize
is above all, well, the entire Murdoch empire, whether it
be the Wall Street Journal, whether it be the New
York Post. And in their daytime programming, not the evening podcast,
the evening shows, forgive me, not the Laura Ingram's and
(04:24):
the Sean Hannity's and the Jesse Waters, but for most
of their daytime programming they are starting to turn on Trump.
The Wall Street Journal now says that Trump's one hundred
days have been essentially a disaster that is sinking his presidency.
The New York Times it is a disaster. The Washington
(04:44):
Post a disaster, CNN a disaster, MSNBC a disaster. It
doesn't matter everywhere you look. The one hundred days, according
to them, have been an absolute atrocity, the worst one
hundred days, Worse than under Biden, worse than under Obama,
they say, even worse than under Trump's first term.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Really, okay, let's look at the evidence.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Okay, not the spin, not the lies, not the propaganda. Okay,
not the propaganda, but let's look at the actual facts
on the ground. We now have, in three months, the
most secure border in the history of.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
The United States.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Illegal alien crossings are now down to a trickle ninety
seven percent effectiveness, almost one hundred percent. It's very hard
to get one hundred hundred percent unless you're out North Korea,
unless you're a full totalitarian state.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
But it is now down.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Biden's border invasion, which was in the tens of millions,
at least ten twelve to fifteen million, is now down
to a trickle. An historic accomplishment. And remember what Biden
the Democrats said that you couldn't do more. Remember that
was the argument that, no, he had done everything he could.
(06:21):
You had the past comprehensive immigration reform.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
We couldn't secure the border. He had done everything humanly possible.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
He was a liar, and the Democrats and the media
were liars as well in parroting that line. Now he
hasn't just obviously enforced the border and secure, in fact,
sealed the border. He hasn't just secured and sealed the border.
He has now begun the greatest mass deportation of illegal
(06:51):
aliens in the history of the United States, in the
face of overwhelming, relentless opposition. Never in my lifetime that
I ever believe I could see a president that would
abolish the Department of Education. He is now moving very
(07:13):
quickly to abolishing the Department of Education. It is already
half in the ground, it's already got one foot in
the grave, and it'll be abolished in about another.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Eighteen months to two years.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Already most of the budget for the DOE eighty billion
is already being directly sent to parents and local states
and school boards. And Trump has now become the school
choice president. He's empowering families, parents, local schools, religious schools,
(07:51):
charter schools, private schools, home schoolers to educate their children
as best they see fit. But it's even more. He
has done more in three months than in a decade
to dismantle the curse of cancel culture. He has ended
(08:15):
censorship in the United States. He has ended at least
in the government and increasingly in the private sector, diversity,
equity inclusion.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Inflation, contrary to the lies in the media, is down.
It's down.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
He inherited it at two point nine, it's at two
point four, It's now heading to two point two, and
soon will be at two point zero again. Would I
like inflation to go lower, Yes, Would I like it
to go faster as it goes down, yes, But there's
no question inflation is going down.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Gas is down.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
You just look at what you pay at the POMP.
I used to pay eighty bucks to tank up. I'm
now paying about or seventy five to eighty. I'm paying
sixty dollars now to tank up. I tank up once
or twice a week. That's that's an extra. You know,
do the math. Fifteen twenty times every day, fifteen to
twenty dollars every time I tank up. That's thirty to
(09:24):
forty dollars a week. That's not peanuts. Doge has exposed
and ferreted out hundreds of billions of dollars in government waste, fraud,
and abuse, and exposed the kind of corruption that we
(09:47):
are going to be dealing with for years and years
to come. He has exposed the entire rot and corruption
at the heart of our federal bureaucracy and at the
heart of our government. He has slashed the federal bureaucracy
and cut over two hundred and eighty thousand jobs, bureaucratic jobs,
(10:15):
duplication jobs. He has ended billions and billions in fraudulent payments.
Thanks to both Trump and Elon, we now discovered that
of over the two million people working in the federal
bureaucracy fat cat bureaucrats, four years after the pandemic, ten
(10:38):
percent less than ten percent were actually going to the
office and working. Those days are over. He has decoupled
the United States from China. He has restored American manufacture.
(11:01):
He has now secured over five trillion dollars in foreign investment.
He has now restored our economic independence. And I'm not
even getting into foreign policy right now. So if you
just look at the record, the first one hundred days,
(11:22):
my friends, they've been an incredible one hundred days, and
more to come.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
