Speaker 1 (00:00):
You see the crazy moonbats I have to listen to
just to make a living.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
You see what I gotta do?
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Nine twenty here on the Great WRKO Jeff Cooner Boston's bulldozer.
Six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight
is the number. Okay, let me throw this quick, very
quick log on the fire lines, Aer Jammed. I want
to go right back to the phone lines. So President Trump,
(00:26):
I think, has now made a brilliant, bold proposal, and
he said this recently at a rally in Las Vegas.
Listen now to Trump roll cut ten a Mike.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
This is the first time I've said this.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
And for those hotel workers and people that get tips,
you're gonna be very happy because when I get to office,
we are going to not charge taxes on tips. People
making tips.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
We're not going to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
And we're going to do that right.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Away, first thing in office, because it's been a point
of contention for years and years and years. And you
do a great job of service, you take care of people,
and I think it's going to be something that really
has deserved more important popular or unpopular. I do some
unpopular things too. If it's right for the country. I
do what's right. But so those people that have jobs
(01:29):
in restaurants, whatever the job may be a tipping job,
we're not going after for taxes anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
This will be under good for him. Honestly, it's long overdue.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Just to show you what I like about Trump. He
didn't get this idea from a think tank or some
policy group or some policy expert. Literally, this is what happened.
He was at some restaurant. It was during one of
his you know, campaign stops, and he's at restaurant. This
was in Vegas, and you know, they're ordering food and stuff,
(02:05):
and Trump gives a very generous tip to the server
and he just says to her, hey, look, here's a
nice tip, thank you very much. And you know, he goes, uh,
and I'm sure it's going to go a long way.
And then she says to him, well, you're not going
to believe how much Uncle Sam takes out of my tips.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
And Trump is like.
Speaker 5 (02:23):
What.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Who goes?
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Whoa whoa?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
He goes, I understand they tax your wages, your income,
but they're actually taxing your tips.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
On top of it all.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And she says, oh, yeah, they really hose us down.
You wouldn't believe how much they take out of our tips.
And Trump was just he was flabbergasted. And then she said,
to be honest, they really shouldn't be taxing our tips
because we work so hard as it is. They take
you know, they take money out of our wages for
social Security and everything else to go, but to go
(02:57):
after our tips, they're just breaking our backs. And Trump said, honey,
you are completely correct. You are one that I didn't
say one thousand, that's my term, but you know you're
one hundred percent. I forget how we phrased it, but
you are one hundred percent correct. And he said, you
know what, that's a great idea. This is wrong, it's immoral,
it's unjust. You know what, I get elected. I'm telling
(03:20):
you right now, you're not going to pay a dime
a penny on taxes on tips. Now he has expanded
that to social Security. I remember when I first came
to this country, I couldn't believe it. You know, I
was paying into the system and they go, oh, by
the way, you know when you get a Social Security check.
I forget who it was, but someone said, you know
(03:42):
you end up paying taxes on that.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
I'm like, what hold on. So let me get this straight.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
I pay into Social Security, and then when i'm you know,
retirement age sixty five whatever, and I start collecting it,
they still tax that. They've been taxing me my whole
life on everything, and then they tax me again. Well,
Trump now says, you get social Security. They're not going
(04:09):
to collect any taxes on social Security. Your social Security
on top of the tips are not going to be taxed.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Now.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I am for both proposals one thousand percent. Servers work hard.
Waiters and waitresses work hard, Bartenders work hard. People in
the restaurant hospitality business work extremely hard. You get a
good tip, you deserve a good tip. You keep that tip.
(04:43):
It should not go to Uncle Sam. They're not entitled
to it, they don't deserve it. And social Security, this
is for all of us. We paid into social Security.
Why does the government then get to take another bite
at the apple. I'm sorry, this is highway robbery. No,
(05:04):
you get your full Social Security, a check and no
taxes again, not a cent, not a red cent in taxes.
Why because you've already paid taxes throughout your entire life.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Enough is enough? Man, What are you gonna do?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Take blood from a stone Now that proposal was so
popular in Nevada. Everybody said he's gonna win Nevada in
a landslide.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
So guess what.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Suddenly now the woman that wants to raise tax rates
to seventy to eighty percent, the woman that unleashed the
irs to crack down on tips, the woman who wants
to raise taxes all of a sudden, now check out
(05:54):
chameleon Kamala. She's now in favor of the Trump proposal
roll cut ten, Mike.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
And eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, boy, that's original or for the working people. Kamala.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Oh yeah, So I want to ask all of you,
a what do you think of the move politically on
the part of Trump? What do you think of Kamala
now plagiarizing and that's what she's doing, copycatting Trump. But
as a matter of principle, should tips not be taxed?
(06:44):
I say yes. Jeff Kooner, Boston's Bulldozer. Six one seven
two six six sixty eight sixty eight is the number.
The way the poll results are trending so far. Now
we still have about another ooh twenty seven minutes. But
the way it's trending so far. Basically now one fifth
(07:05):
of the audience thinks I'm a sucker. So, as you know,
the poll question of the day, it's based on what
happened to me this weekend, Coonerman. You know that my
in laws are in town, and Marie Laurie, my niece, Maria,
Grace's two sisters, one older, one younger, and of course
(07:28):
and Mary's daughter, our niece Maria, So the three of
them are in town, and of course I got my
ash Geneva Grace me. Anyway, they they they wanted pizza,
and you know, Dominoes won't trust me. They're above Dominos.
Dominoes is an insult to them. So it had to
be Bertucci's brick oven pizza. And of course everybody's very
(07:50):
finicky picky what they want in terms of the pizza
they want with the toppings. So seven pizzas, individual size,
couple salads, small salads, and sodas two hundred and twenty
two dollars and I'm not counting tip, speaking of taxes
on tips, and I know it was a.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Generous teps twenty percent.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
So the poll question of the day is the cooner
Man is because this came out of my pocket. So
the cooner Man spent over two hundred dollars on seven
small pizzas or individual sized pizzas, a couple of small salads,
a couple of sodas. Now, is this because of a
(08:37):
bignomics which is what I was blaming it on? The
insane inflation unleashed under the Harris Biden regime, or b
that the cooner man is a sucker who lets his
kids order whatever they want in terms of toppings and
let's and allows his in laws to just run rough
(08:57):
shot over him. Well, so far, believe it or not,
eighty two percent of you say Bidenomics, But eighteen percent
of you, including by the way, Mike and Sandy both
are not just a bees, they're adamantbes. Eighteen percent. That's
(09:20):
nearly twenty percent. It's my fault. I'm a sucker, Okay,
could you believe that? I? You know, I I am
the Rodney danger Field of talk radio.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
I get no respect.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
So anyway, if you still want to vote, there's still
time to help me, you know, help me restore my reputation.
You can vote on our web page WRKO dot com
slash cooner kuh And is in National Er You can
always vote as well via x my handle there at
the Kooner Report. One word, so you know who do
(09:56):
you blame it on? Joe Biden and inflation, Mala haaris
or me? It's brought to you by Mario's Quality roofing,
siding and windows. Okay, by the way, I got to
read this, This is a very very good message I
got from Vicki on messenger regarding social security and taxes
(10:17):
on social Security because Trump says he's going to eliminate
all taxes on social Security should he win in November, Jeff,
along with the government charging taxes on social Security. If
you die before you've collected at all, the government keeps it.
(10:37):
It doesn't go to your heirs. This is unbelievable. So
I work my whole life, You work your whole life.
We pay into social Security and say we drop dead
at sixty six or sixty seven or whatever, so we
still have more coming to us.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
We haven't collected at all, the government keeps it.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
No, I can't give it to my wife's safe the Grace,
or to Ashton or to Ava or say to my grandkids. No,
I'm telling you, the government is a thief.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
That's what it is. It's a thief.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight
Anthony in Abington. Thanks for holding Anthony, and welcome, Hi Anthony.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Hi Jeff. Can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (11:37):
I can hear you. Can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
I can hear you loud and clear. And you're not
the biggest sokker on earth.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
I am.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
I'm a grand parent. Woe, oh my god. They're bleeding
me dry. But the reason I called Jeff, the real
reason is earlier you were talking about where were they
going to put all these people? Tell people watch Doctor Chivago,
the classic movie, and you'll see all about I mean,
what happens to your property and your life and everything.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
That's a great point, Anthony.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
I mean, I take it you saw the movie from
beginning to end, because a lot of people don't because
it's quite a long movie.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
But you've seen the you've seen the whole movie.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Right yeah, oh yeah, yeah, Well you see.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
The irony of the movie is you know the doctor,
the main character, you know, Doctor Jivago, doctor he actually
initially supports the Bolsheviks, right, that's the thing, and then
he realizes how they destroyed his life. In other words,
I mean, you didn't vote for Bolshevism, but if he could,
he would have voted in Bolshevism. So the point of
(12:38):
the movie, like the novel, is be careful what you
wish for, because you just may get it. Anthony, do
you think Americans are are there enough bills in Sudbury?
Are there enough crazy lunatics, really left wing lunatics, who
are willing to vote in a communist presidential ticket?
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Anthony, I'm here, Jeff, go ahead, No, I will saying
that it's unbelievable that this is even in play, that
it's even in motion. That and I have a feeling
I love Trump, I love what he stands for. Somehow
I think they're going to steal it again and then
we're reduced to either take it or fight it. But
(13:25):
if we fight it, it's going to be ugly, Anthony.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
So in your view, you think there's no way that
a majority of the American people, in a free and
fair election would ever vote in call me Kamala correct.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
In a free and fair election, No, it would never happen.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Okay, they're going to.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Manufacture enough votes to steal it.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Like no, I agree.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Can we do after that?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
What do we do then.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Look, I think I love the way you phrased it.
Either we take it or we fight it. I think
you either we accepted, or we do all of Venezuela
and we go to the streets. I mean, we'll have
to see how this plays out. We still have several
more months. But now I'm with you, Anthony. It's it's
it's a mind bender. I never thought it would come
(14:16):
to this point. I never, honestly, and that they're so naked.
Now you see Obama hit it, even Joe Biden hit
it a little bit. But this this is in our
face now, Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz. It's the revolution
is coming and we want you to know you're gonna
get it good and hard. Anthony, thank you very much
(14:36):
for that call. I really appreciate it. Steve in Braintree,
thanks for holding Steve and welcome.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Hey buddy, good Steve morning. How are my friend? I'm
gonna I'm gonna do what I always do and talk
us all down off the ledge because Twitter since she's
been announced has been absolutely insane with these you know
right X accounts losing their mind because these poll numbers,
the polls. Everyone knows they're bogus. You should only be
following Trafalgar or Richard Barris to know what is going
(15:07):
on with these polls. They've overweighted them to a D
plus six electorate. It is not going to be anywhere
near that. This is the damage didn't change. Economy, Immigration,
it's all still the number one issues everywhere, including Pennsylvania,
including Arizona, where immigration is huge. If her platform is
amnesty and healthcare for illegals, she cannot win a nationwide
(15:31):
election that plays well in very small sections of Arizona.
It plays well in very small sections of the blue
parts of Georgia, but it is a guaranteed loser if
she comes out at the convention and says anything like that,
which she's not going to do, by the way, And
the thing that's amazing is the DNC is going to
have to have a platform. You have to, and she's
(15:53):
going to have to talk about it, just the way
Trump did. See that. Your delegates come out, they talk
about the platform, you vote on it, and the candidate
is expected to have had influence because they need to
support it. Do you really think they're going to talk
about not taxing tips and immigration reform and border control. No,
(16:13):
these things are not going to be on the Democratic
Convention platform because you'll lose half the room. The progressors
are going to cause a big enough problem. This is
an entire smoke in mirrors.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Can Okay, let's go right back to Steve and Braintree. Steve,
you're saying, don't believe the polls. They're rigged in favor
of the Democrats to give them an artificial boost. The
fundamentals of this race, whether it's immigration, the border, economy, inflation,
(16:44):
all of it favors Trump and Hertz Harris, Steve, I'm
just curious Rasmussen, which traditionally has been one of the
most reliable of the polls, has Trump leading. It depends
which pole you look at, either by four or five percent,
either forty nine to forty four or forty nine to
(17:05):
forty five. Do you believe Russmussen is accurate?
Speaker 5 (17:10):
Probably plus two, a plus three. But you're talking about
when they overweight, it just means that's a Democrat. Don't
say oversampled, because you're allowed to oversample depending on where
you're talking to people. The over sample and Hispanics and
hispanic just could makes sense. You just can't overweight the
way the electorate is going, and if you've got a
D plus six electorate, then that's just not going to
happen nationwide. It's probably going to be even maybe in
(17:31):
a Republican plus one based on the dynamics. So if
much your poll is in that area, I mean he
probably is up two to three nationwide. Because you know,
this is a twenty twelve Obama type campaign that Harris
is running. Remember they wanted you to run the Romney.
They want Trump to run a Romney campaign. We's worried
about what the soccer slash wine cat moms in the
suburbs think. And he doesn't need that. He has enough
(17:53):
percentage of the black male vote, of the Hispanic both
male and female vote in these swing states that he
has expanded his lead. And this these poles don't show
that he's lost any support in any of those categories.
So where is this coming from. His favorabilities are higher
than they've ever been. He's hovering around forty five to
forty seven percent favorable. When did that ever happen? Tell
(18:16):
me what he's done that has caused these poll numbers.
The only thing it can be is a shift in
the way the polls are weighted. And again when you
go online and you argue with people, it's overweighting, not oversampling.
And I'm not worried about it. She is going to
implode this whole you know, disastrous now she's for closed
borders and reducing taxes with this tips plan. It makes
(18:39):
no sense. It's not the Democrat platform, it's not who
the Democrats are. I don't understand how she's going to,
you know, go to the convention and talk about this.
So this is going to all collapse upon itself fairly
quickly if Trump sticks with not worrying about what the
you know, the suburban you know, for white working class
women think, because he wasn't going to get those votes anyways.
He needs to concentrate on the expansion he's made, keep
(19:02):
that voter base with him, and just do what he's doing.
You get to trust his instincts. I mean, he's been right.
Why are they questioning you now?
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Interesting? Very interesting, Steve. I always learned something when you
call Steve, thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
For that call. I really appreciate it. John.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
So basically he's saying, ignore the polls. They're overweighting Democrats
to create an artificial sense of momentum for Kamala Harris
to make us all believe, hey there's a blue wave.
There is no blue wave. John ian and Over, thanks
for holding John, and welcome.
Speaker 6 (19:39):
To today. Hi John, Hi Jeff, thanks a lot.
Speaker 7 (19:44):
I've talked to you before. I'm first responded. We've got
to go around a couple of times. But my own poll, Jeff,
I think this is really kind of relevant to what
your discussion is. I walked into Duncan Donuts in the
suburb just notth of Boston on a Saturday morning, and
I went in to get my coffee, and this woman
(20:05):
walked in and she was dressing Jim garb. She just
came from There's a Plane of Fitness right next door
to the doc and Doonnuts, and she had this huge, big,
big Trump shirt on. And I said to her, I
don't know you at all, but I love you like crazy,
and she goes, are you a Trumper? And I said,
I absolutely am, And so you know, we high five.
(20:26):
And then there were two fellows working behind the counterpt
both of which were immigrants, and they said, you guys,
trumpa you know, and they again, those two folks were
big trump is and then there were three construction workers
sitting and having their coffee one and whatever it was,
and it was like a revival there. So there's nine
(20:49):
out of nine people in that store, all big Trump supporters.
So I totally think that this Democratic POLLI is nonsense.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah, I know, I don't believe the polls. John, I
just don't. I'm not quite like you. I don't I
hear you, and I believe you completely. Let me see,
I'm thinking about my babysitter. She's for Harris. Just a
few I've met that are for Harris. But the overwhelming
number of people that I've met are pro Trump. And again,
(21:24):
I don't live in some you know, I don't know
red this stronghold or some kind of a Republican enclave.
I mean, you know, my town is a fifty to
fifty fifty Republican, fifty Democrat, fifty percent Republican, fifty percent Democrat.
But I travel, you know, all over and you know,
I do get a little bit. I'm not going to vote.
(21:45):
I don't like either of them. I get a little
bit of that. But the overwhelming majority is they're going
with Trump. And this is in blues, you know, blue Massachusetts.
So I'm with you, John. I like the way Steve
Fray in Braintree. They're overweighting Democrats in these polls to
create this illusion of support. It's not grassroots, it's AstroTurf.
(22:10):
It's all fake. Just like her, it's all fake. John,
thank you for that call. I really appreciate it. Debbie
in Boston, Debbie, I hate to do this to you.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
I've got one minute. The floor is yours.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Go man, Jeff, I just want to touch base on
the overworld, overall situation. If people are just to look
at England, what's happening England is happening here, It's going
to be full blown here. People need to start to
stand up and realize what's going on with the kids
are being taught all the woke crap I will call
(22:47):
it that transgenders and whatnot. The economy is definitely declined.
Inflation is high. I buy miracle for example under Trump
was two ninety nine, four ninety nine, and it's just
a riper effect. Taxes are going to go up. We
have people coming over the border. We have not vetted them.
(23:08):
We know how many are in here, probably millions and
millions and millions that we don't know of, and yeah,
that
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Everything has gone up under Biden.
