Speaker 1 (00:00):
Six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight
is the number should we go to war with Venezuela?
That is now the question. Okay, my friends, going to
continue to take your calls. But first seven twenty Wednesday.
You know what that means.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Truth or Troll? Take it away a my.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
And now America's favorite game show where you get to
decide on the Kooner report.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
This is Truth or Tall.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Today's entry for truth or Trol comes from blow. It's
back to back weeks of cackling. Kamala Harris when during
an interview with MSNBC, she was asked if she had
spoken with Joe Biden in the wake of his announcement
that he will be undergoing radiation for his cancer.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I want to get to some news that just came
out today with President Biden. His spokesperson said that he
is going to now start doing radiation for his prostate cancer.
Have you talked to him?
Speaker 5 (01:10):
I called him earlier.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
How's he doing.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
I have not talked to him. I just left him
a message after I heard the news. I was otherwise
on the event at the event. I listen. I think
Joe Biden is a fighter, and that is what I
told him and left him a message.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
He's a fighter, So that was a very quick backtrack. Yeah,
I talked to him. Now I didn't talk to him.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I left a voicemail.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Now the question is is she telling the truth? Did
she actually leave him a voicemail?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Or is she just trolling?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
And she's never even never even called him.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I bet she hasn't even called him. Not serious, Mike,
he can't stand her. She helped orchestrate his overthrow off
the ticket where they stabbed him in the back Obama, Hillary,
Nancy Polosi and then and this one here, you know,
Kamala Harris. No, they can't stand her. Hunter. Biden's made
(02:06):
it very clear that Joe Biden sees her as a judas,
so they're not on speaking terms. She didn't call, she's lying,
And think about it. I mean, this is the state
of their relationship, even if she's telling the truth. Just
for the sake of argument.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Well, that's what I was going to say. What if
she did call him and he was like, I screw this,
exact I don't want to talk to her.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
That's the vice president.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Funnier exactly, Mike, that's your vice president and you won't
even pick up the call, you know, as you're battling
prostate cancer, like ah, send it to voicemail. I don't
know what's worse. She's lying or she's telling the truth.
She's a clown, Mike, I'm telling you, she's a clown.
(02:49):
This book tour is blowing up whatever chances she had
of winning the nomination in twenty twenty eight. But my
honest opinion, I think she's lying, she's trolling. Never even called.
She never even called. Just my opinion. Okay, So let
me ask all of you truth or troll. Former Vice
President Kamala Harris was asked if she had called President
(03:13):
Biden after the news he was having radiation for his cancer.
She said she left a voicemail. Did she really call
him and leave a voicemail? Or is she trolling? I
e lying? No call was ever made?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
A truth b trolling?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
You can vote on our web page WRKO dot com

can vote via X and you know I'm very active
on X. My handle all one word at the Kooner
(03:54):
Report k U h n e R. By the way,
would you take a call from Kamala Harris. Seriously, the
first question you'd ask yourself is is she sober?
Speaker 2 (04:06):
That's I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I'm like, oh, no, on no, the boozer is the
the lush is calling me again?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Hey, what do you think? Sober? Not sober?
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Nah?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Probably not sober?
Speaker 6 (04:19):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (04:20):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Six sheets to the wind. Take her to voicemail and
let's see if she sent me coherent. Ken in Georgia,
thanks for holding Ken, and welcome, Jeff.
Speaker 7 (04:36):
How are you good?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
How are you Ken?
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Good? Good? I'm in agreement with you.
Speaker 7 (04:41):
I think the minimum they should do at least uh
send in the Green Boy to train up rebellion forth
or resistant fourth in Venezuela. But what I'm going back
to is your your comment on tam BONDI. I don't
think she kind of screw Trump. I think she just
(05:04):
doesn't have anybody underneath her is willing to do what
needs to be done. I think they're on there. Their
attorney in Virginia. Now, a lot of what I've been
hearing and reading is a lot of the prosecutors they
don't think the case gets Comy's worth prosecuted.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Well, those prosecutors who don't think Comy is worth prosecuting.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Are Democrats.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
So obviously they don't want to see Comy get prosecuted
because you go after call Me, you expose the massive
corruption at the heart of the deep State and at
the heart of Biden's and Obama's FBI. So that's why
they they're trying to protect their own.
Speaker 7 (05:42):
No.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Look, it's not a question of whether Pam Bondi wants
to screw Trump. I don't think she wants to screw
Trump or sabotage him or undermine him. She's just not
up for the job. It's nothing personal. Probably a decent
attorney general for this state of Florida.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
It's like a college quarterback, not bad in college, but
just can't play to the can't play in the NFL.
And she's now in the NFL's she's in the big leagues,
and she's just not She's not aggressive enough, she's not
proactive enough. Look, I saw her what is it recently
in front of Congress. I was not impressed with her answers.
(06:25):
She doesn't seem to know her brief. She seems to
be defensive, she seems to be insecure. But look, it's
not a you know, whatever you think of my opinion,
the fact of the matter is two hundred National Guard
troops for Portland is not enough. Five hundred National Guard
troops in Chicago is nowhere near enough. It's an insurrection.
(06:48):
It's a clear insurrection, and they are rebelling against federal authority.
They're rebelling against federal law. They are putting ice agentsies
lives in mortal jeopardy, and they are impeding Trump's deportation. Okay,
Another US military strike against a Venezuelan boat, killing six
(07:11):
drug smugglers on board. They were smuggling drugs or trying
to off the coast of Venezuela into the United States.
It is the sixth such strike launched by US forces
in the last month alone. Twenty seven people now over
the last month have been killed, all of them these
drug smugglers. Trender Aragua has now been designated a terrorist organization,
(07:35):
a major drug cartel cartel of the Suns that Meduro
literally is part of. In fact, he's the head of it.
He sits at the top of it along with his generals,
has also now been designated a terrorist organization. And now
the drums of war are beating President Trump has called
for a massive military build up. Ten thousand troops now
(07:59):
right off the coast of Venezuela. Three destroyers or nearly
a dozen fighter jets, dozens of drones capable of dropping bombs,
surveillance planes, special operations forces are now at the border
of Venezuela. The Venezuelan opposition is now calling for a
(08:19):
complete uprising against the Maduro regime. Maduro now is calling
up one hundred and twenty five thousand troops. He also
now is working with indigenous groups wanting to form brigades
to defend his regime. I don't you know, Biden famously
said to people who oppose them like me, good luck
(08:40):
fighting fighter jets with our rifles and our guns. Forget
rifles and guns. What are these poor native indigenous Indians
going to fight the US Air Force with a bow
and arrow a tomahawk? But Maduro is going to mobilize
every possible element of defense he fears his regime may fall.
(09:04):
Are we about to get into a regime change war?
And do you support it? I'm against it, not because
I like Maduro quite the contrary. But to me, we
got to focus on problems at home and that any
war that involves regime change should at a minimum have
(09:24):
the full backing and support of Congress and the American people.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
But that's me.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
I want to hear from you, Angelo in Rockland. Thanks
for holding Angelo, and welcome.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
Good morning, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
How are you good? How are you Angelo?
Speaker 6 (09:41):
I'm doing pretty good. I think with Trump's coming from
on this, it is a problem at home. I think
the dirty elections are similar to all the similarities are
the same. The dirty money, the dirty elections, the dirty
politicians that are keeping the drug flows come and and
I think Trump knows a little more than he'll say.
(10:03):
He never shows his true hand. What he's doing is
he's attacking these boats and stuff, and he's stopping a
small money flow to the people who have their wallets
open here in America, and he knows who they are,
and he's disrupting. He's disrupting the flow just a bit.
But I think he's at the point where he's had enough.
(10:24):
But like you said, do the right thing, go through
Congress before you start surgically striking them. We can can
do that at any time. I think a bigger threat,
to be quite honest with you, is the homegrown terrorist.
I would go there, like you said, and really take
(10:45):
care of business. Look at all the money trails. There's
so much going on. I try to get on with
you the other day in regard to the conflict in
the Middle East, and thank god that's that went well,
and there's so much good things going on. But you
can't tackle the whole world. There's these drugs. Gotta go, Jeff.
(11:07):
And the other thing is China has their hand in
the drug trade as well. I wouldn't pay them a
dime of the money that we owe them for anything
between COVID drugs and everything else. That's where I would
take my hard stance. But Venezuela is a drop in
the bucket. But just keep them, keep them running with drones.
(11:29):
I wouldn't send one American soldier in that.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
But Angel, I completely agree with you. Destroy the boats,
interdict the drugs, prevent these things from coming into our country.
If you want, launch drone strikes, go after these cartels,
hammer their headquarters, take out their leaders, these kingpins. But
don't send in troops, and for God's sakes, don't get
(11:54):
involved in a regime change war. China is a much
bigger threat if we're going to talk about foreign advert series.
China is a much bigger threat than Venezuela. And you
still got this war between Russia and Ukraine to settle there.
I mean, there's so many other things. We got much
bigger fish to fry. And again, not to be a
(12:15):
broken record, but we've got to get these illegal aliens
that Joe Biden brought in ten million, twelve fourteen, fifteen,
twenty million, whatever the actual number is. We've got to
get him out. That's an invasion and our country cannot
survive that invasion. And so if you're going to use
(12:37):
the military, to me, that's where you use the military. Angelo,
thank you very much again for a thoughtful call. Bill
in Sudbury, Thanks for holding Bill and welcome.
Speaker 8 (12:49):
Hello, good morning, Good morning, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
How are you today? Good?
Speaker 8 (12:52):
I just wanted to weigh in on Venezuela. I think
this is the same he does the same game on
you Ova over again, and you fall for it every time.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
You remember, this.
Speaker 8 (13:04):
Is the reason he gave why we had to wanted
to take over Canada. Remember, Sentinel was coming in from Canada.
Sentinel is like some magic password and just all all questioning,
all contradiction goes away because nobody could possibly be in
favor of fentanyl. Remember that it's the same reason he
(13:26):
gave Canada.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I have no idea what you're talking about. Like, I'm sorry,
I'm trying to keep it civil and respectful, but like, honestly,
are you a moron? Like, seriously, dude, does the elevator
go to the top number one? He's not talking about
fentanyl in Venezuela. He's talking about cocaine. And the bigger
(13:50):
problem is not cocaine. The bigger problem is trendur Aragua.
The bigger problem is these gangs that Maduro has released
from prison or encouraged to invade the United States under
Biden that you supported and his open border which you supported.
And he never said he was going to invade Canada.
(14:12):
If you believe that, I'm sorry, you're an idiot. What
he said was Canada should be the fifty first state
of America, peacefully, democratically. In fact, he offered to pay
every Canadian a million dollars a million dollars and it
would have to be ratified by the Parliament of Canada
(14:33):
and in a national referendum. And by the way, the
idea of Canada becoming the fifty first state is something
that goes all the way back to Abraham Lincoln. So
this is nothing new on the part of Trump. Now
the Canadian said no, and Trump has said, okay, fine,
you don't want to take the money, don't take the money,
(14:54):
but you're going to get a tariff like everybody else.
Because the argument, just to educate you for two seconds,
the argument that Trudeau before, the previous Prime minister, Justin
Trudeau argued to Trump, you can't impose a tariff on us,
and Trump was like why not? He said, well, we're
basically the fifty first state, Like why would you do that?
Speaker 2 (15:17):
And he's like whoa, whoa woa.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Well, if you want to be the fifty first state,
then yes, I want to impose a tariff, But no,
you guys have high tariffs on us when it comes
to dairy, milk, cheese, timber, lumber, a whole list. So
you can tariff us, but we can't tariff you. So
if you want to be the fifty first state, then
(15:39):
become the fifty first state. Otherwise you're getting a tariff.
That's where Trump came up with the fifty first state idea.
So again, I have no idea what you're saying. Either
you don't listen to the show or you can't comprehend
what I'm saying. Final word to you, Bill, No nothing
(16:04):
left for you, nothing left in the pank their Bill,
just more Trump de arrangement syndrome. Jeff Kooner, Boston's Bulldozer. Okay,
very very quickly, because there's a lot of other stories
I want to talk about, but just to tie it
all in, the biggest threat that Venezuela poses, and Trump
has been adamant on this point, is not the cocaine
(16:27):
or the drugs, bad as they are. It's the gangs.
It's the transnational criminal organizations. It's trend or Aragua. It's
these criminals tied to Trendur Aragua, tied to the Maduro
regime that he has led out from prisons or emptied
(16:49):
out of his country and told him to come into
the United States with the deliberate intention, the deliberate intention
of sowing chaos, violence, wreaking havoc going into these sanctuary cities,
importing obviously drug trafficking, sex trafficking, trafficking children, committing crimes, rapes, carjackings, burglaries, extortion, murders,
(17:19):
and that is getting Americans killed, and it's sowing terror
on the streets of the United States. And that really,
for Trump is almost why he believes Maduro has in
essence declared war on the United States. And who are
Maduro's collaborators. Their sanctuary city mayors like Michelle wou Here
(17:45):
in Boston, Marxist Michelle or Brandon Johnson in Chicago, or
that crazy moonbat mayor in Portland, or the mayor in Seattle,
or the mayor in San Francisco, who have welcome not
just illegal aliens, but violent criminal illegal aliens, including by
(18:07):
the way, not just Trend of Aragua MS thirteen Mexican
drug cartels into their cities to terrorize their neighborhoods, their citizens,
their residents, and their streets. Well, Trump now has had enough,
not just with the Venezuelan regime and with Maduro and
(18:28):
with Trend of Aragua and MS thirteen. But yesterday he said,
I've had it with these sanctuary city mayors. And in particular,
it's not just that he's going to be sending in
even more ICE agents to continue to deport these violent
criminal illegals, and that now he wants to start cutting
(18:49):
off federal funding. But listen now to this. Yesterday, he
specifically warned Marxist Michelle Boston mayor Michelle Wu that if
she continues to turn a blind eye to the crime,
to the drugs, to the gang bangers, to the murder rates,
(19:13):
to trend de Uruagua to MS thirteen, and continues to
order local police and law enforcement to impede ICE and
ICE agents from deporting these violent, criminal, illegal aliens, then
guess what. Boston, as you know, next year is going
to be one of the host cities.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
One not the only one, there's other.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Host cities, but one of the host cities for the
FIFA twenty twenty six World Cup Soccer Championship. It's the
biggest event in the world by far. Soccer is an
incredibly popular sport, not so much in America, but around
the world. It is by far the biggest most popular sport,
(20:00):
and the FIFA World Cup Soccer World Cup is the
biggest sporting event in the world. Nothing comes close. And
he has now told Michelle Wou that if she doesn't
clean up her act, if she continues to run the
city into the ground, guess what he is going to
order that those Soccer World Cup soccer games sponsored by
(20:26):
FIFA be played in another city in another state. In
other words, Boston will not be a hosting city for
the twenty twenty six World Cup. And according to Trump,
he's got FIFA's agreement on it, that FIFA is telling
him no, we agree.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Now.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
So far, the mayor has said nothing, hold it. Governor
Morriheely has said nothing. The corrupt Democrats on Beacon Hill
have said nothing because they don't know what the answer
should be. What are they gonna do? Tell Trump to
fly a kite? Fine, then he'll just tell FIFA put
the take these soccer games and send them to another
(21:12):
hosting city. Because the fact of the matter is, and
as I said on X last night, and I want
to repeat it, I am with Trump on this not
one hundred but one thousand percent. Boston should not be
hosting or be one of the hosting cities for the
(21:34):
World Cup Soccer Championship, the FIFA World Cup Soccer Championship
next year because Boston, contrary to what Mayor Wu says,
it is not a safe city, never mind the safest
big city in America. That's a brazen lie. All you
have to do is walk the streets of your own city,
(21:57):
Michelle Wu and see the drugs, see mass and casts,
see the homeless encampments, see people literally shooting up on
the streets. See the out of control crime, the break
(22:18):
ins at the pharmacies, the burglaries, the carjackings, the shootings,
the stabbings, which are now a nightly and daily occurrence.
So you have a city now that is a washing crime,
a washing drugs, a wash in filth, with the murder rate.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Going up and up and up.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Yeah, no, I can see why Boston would not be
one of the hosting cities. Trump is completely right if
you want to have a sanctuary city, what you're essentially
telling illegal aliens is come on down, we will protect you,
we will shelter you. And what you're telling gang bangers,
(23:07):
in particular from MS thirteen to Trenderaragua, to the drug cartels,
you can do business in Boston with impunity. And that's
essentially now what they have done. They have made Boston
safe for gangs, for drug dealers, for sex traffickers, for
(23:29):
child molesters. You look at what's happened in the last
nine ten months under the Trump administration. With all due
respect to the rank and file Boston police, who I love.
But most of the arrests of these murderers or rapists
or sex traffickers or child molesters have been made by Ice.
(23:55):
Doesn't the mayor of Boston want to take the most violent,
heinous offenders and criminals off the streets? Apparently?
Speaker 5 (24:04):
No?
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Doesn't the police chief that fraud. Doesn't he want the
most violent, heinous criminals. And remember we're talking about convicted criminals.
Doesn't he want them off the streets? Apparently if they're
illegal yet?
Speaker 7 (24:22):
No?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
And then you have the governor who.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Has made the whole state a sanctuary state and is
vowing resistance against Trump and against Ice. So if you
can't guarantee a safe city, if you can't guarantee a
city that you're not going to have nightly shootings and stabbings,
or you go to the park and you're stepping on
used needles, or you're going to see people literally injecting
(24:49):
themselves with heroin or smoking meth on the freaking sidewalk,
Or you go to Boston Common or mass and Casts
or many other places, and it's one homeless encampment after
another after another, you know, with violent people yelling screaming, shouting,
blocking traffic. No, I don't think you should have the
(25:13):
FIFA World Cup Soccer in Boston. To me, it's akin
to having it in Portland. You're crazy, or in Chicago
you're crazy, Or in New York you're crazy. Or in
La or San Francisco you're crazy. Why Because they're not safe.
So I'm sorry. These mayors have no one to blame
(25:34):
but themselves. These sanctuary city mayors can't complain when Trump says, no,
we're gonna move it to Dallas. No, we're gonna move
it to Indianapolis. No, there's plenty of cities in the
United States, you know. Frankly, Florida has a lot of them.
Miami is a safe city, Tampa Bay is a safe city.
(25:58):
Jacksonville is a safe city. What I'm saying is there
are many cities in the United States that could host
a World Cup quality soccer match, you know, with the
proper stadium and seating and venue where you're not taking
(26:21):
your life in your hands if you want to go
see a soccer game. And as Trump said, let me
just make this final point, and I want to go
to you the great audience the World Cup because it's
the Soccer World Cup. Hey, the World Cup of soccer.
It attracts tourists from all over the world. Again, it's
(26:43):
the biggest sporting event. Whatever you think of soccer. And
I know many of you in this audience would rather
see paint dry or grass grow than watch soccer. But
the fact is, for most of the world it is
by far, not even close, the most popular sport on
the play planet. And the World Cup is the epitome
(27:05):
of soccer competition. Heay, it is the mount Olympus of
soccer competition. People are coming from Japan, from Asia, from
all across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, you
name it, Australia. They will be coming to Boston, to
(27:29):
New York, to Chicago, to these cities. This is the
face we want to show the world. Is this Is
that what we want to show the world? What we're
a third world dying country. No, that's not the face
I want to show to the world. So look, I
(27:53):
think Trump is one thousand percent correct. Either clean up
your city or no World Cup for you, period. And
if you don't like it, don't blame Trump, Blame your
sanctuary policies, blame your soft on crime policies, stop coddling drugs, criminals,
(28:18):
illegal aliens, and guess what you'll have safer, cleaner, better streets,
and you can host major international events. So let me
throw this log on the fire. Six one seven two six,
six sixty eight sixty eight is the number? Is President
(28:39):
Trump correct? Should Boston lose its privilege and it is
a privilege to be one of the hosting cities for
the World Cup of Soccer the FIFA World Cup Championship
next year? If Michelle Wu will not stop coddling illegal
aliens and allowing the crime rate and the murder rate
(29:02):
to continue to explode, is Trump right? Should she reverse
her policies, crack down on crime and stop destroying her city?
And if she won't, is he right to then take
away the World Cup from Boston? Six one seven two
six six sixty eight sixty eight. I say yes, If
(29:26):
she can't make the city safe, take the World Cup away.
Give it to I don't know, Miami, give it to Dallas,
give it to There's plenty of other places where the
cities are a hell of a lot safer. But that's
me I want to hear from you. Six one seven
two six six sixty eight sixty eight Morris in Boston.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Thanks for holding Morris, I'm welcome. Hey, good morning, Jeff.
Speaker 9 (29:56):
I No, I always love following Bill because Bill from Studbury.
I can literally rip it fart into the phone and
sound smarter than that.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Well Einstein, it's true.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Yeah, you can fart into the phone and right away,
I go, Morris, what are you won? Fifty IQ one sixty?
What are you ein your Einstein? Obviously, So no matter
what you say now, Morris, you're a genius. So go ahead,
my friend.
Speaker 9 (30:20):
Oh, you know, back to the Venezuela thing. And you
know I say this at home to my wife. You know,
we need to focus on what's going on in the
four walls of this house. Well we get that right
then we can we can look outside, but it's our
job to prevent things from entering our home. We don't
want our home, whether it be uh, you know, our
kids doing drugs, pornography, whatever it may be. It's our
(30:43):
job to protect the home and protect those that live
in the home. And that's what Trump's going to focus on.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
You know, So.
Speaker 9 (30:49):
Boats full of drugs coming towards the US.
Speaker 6 (30:52):
Blow them out of the water.
Speaker 9 (30:53):
I applaud that all day long. But we don't need
to be going into Venezuela and you know, getting into
it there, because it's just not gonna look good. It's
gonna it's gonna get twisted up that you know, he's
a dictator, he's trying to take over another country, and
all the good that he's done with the peace will
be for nothing. So you know, my thought is, keep
(31:13):
taking out the boats. Eventually they'll stop coming, they'll find
another way. But we've got a good enough intelligence against
the country like Venezuela that we'll learn real quick, you know,
the next trick to bring drugs into the country. With
regards to the World Cup, I agree with them one
hundred percent. You know, you gotta that's a lot of
money that they could that could bring the city of
(31:34):
Boston too, So you know, he's really putting her on
the line there to really cause one a lot of
upset people. Boston's a big city that does like soccer.
You know a lot of Irish people around here, they
love soccer. So I think that is a great idea.
(31:56):
And and and she's gonna have to live with that,
So we'll see what happens there. But with Venezuela. Just
keep taking out the boats.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Morris.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
I agree with you one thousand percent. Very well said.
You know, I have the same rule with Grace, and
she agrees with me. Let's take care of these, you know,
the walls within our home. Always, our home has to
be first. We want to help other people. We love
to help charities, help our neighbors, help our friends. We
(32:25):
do what we can. But you have to focus on
the home because that's a what you can control, and
b that's your number one priority. And to me, a president,
like a member of Congress or whatever, if you are
up on Capitol Hill, their number one priority should be
America and the American people. So blow these boats out
(32:47):
of the water. Amen, But another regime change war. Count
me out, Morris. Excellent call, as always, Thank you so much. No,
you're right, there's a lot of Irish. There's also, frankly,
a lot of Italians, you know, North End. It's always
a big thing when the you know, especially when Italy's
playing in the World Cup. So you're right, people in
(33:07):
Boston are going to follow the World Cup. It's also
you're right, it's going to bring in potentially a ton
of cash. It's gonna you know, it's gonna bring in
a lot of foreigners, tourists, and you know they're going
to spend money restaurants, hotels, They're going to go out,
They're going to go to bars, nightclubs, you know whatever.
They're going to do some shopping. Look, this is going
(33:28):
to be a real bonanza. And you know, and and
people who attend World Cup soccer matches are how do
I say this, it's it's it's almost an experience. It's
you know, they only do it once in their lives.
Most of them, they save a lot of money for
that trip. They're here to come, have a good time,
(33:49):
spend money. So this would be a huge thing for
the city. So you know, this is not a concert
that oh, okay, you know one concert or whatever, Taylor
Swift's not coming too bad or whatever. No, the World
Cup is going to be a lot of games, a
lot of fans, and it's going to be a big
(34:12):
thing for the city of Boston frankly for the state
of Massachusetts. So she's jeopardizing a lot of dollars, a
lot of dollars, and also, to be honest, the prestige
of the city and to a lesser extent the prestige
of the state. And let me just say this thirty
seconds because I want to go to Greg and Boston. Look,
(34:35):
I've been on the air now, as you know, for
a long time, and I've been on the air in Boston,
as you know for a long time. I can tell
you this. Within the last thirteen years since I came
to this city, I seen the change in Boston.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
I've seen it.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
I've seen the change at the Common I've seen the
change in downtown Boston. I've seen what's happening in Massion Cast.
I could go on and on. This city has gotten
I'm sorry to say this. It's gotten more crime written,
it's gotten dirtier, it's gotten much less safe. It's not
(35:15):
the same city. I'm not saying thirteen years ago it
was Shangri Law, but it's a more degraded and frankly,
more of a Third World like looking city. You know,
I made fun of Menino Mumbles, but honestly, he was
a much more competent and frankly patriotic mayor than any
(35:39):
of his successors, whether it's a Marti or Michelle Wu.
The two of them together held hostage by the radical left,
have driven Boston into the ground. And to me, we're
about to become the San Francisco of the East coast.
We're not there yet, but man, we're getting there. So
(36:04):
and by the way, you know what's extremely telling, She's
gonna run unopposed in November. She's going to run on up.
Let me repeat this, She's going to run unopposed in November.
Josh Craft dropped out of the race. And by the way, Craft,
not that I'm a big fan of his, but a
(36:28):
very liberal Democrat. Forget conservative, he's not forget centrist, forget
central you know, center left. Josh Craft is a liberal,
progressive Democrat and he was quote unquote too conservative for
the crazy moonbats in Boston. And so he dropped out
(36:51):
of the race. And she's basically now running uncontested.
