Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boston's Bulldozer operates seven days a week. The Kooner Report
Weekend edition WRKO, The.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Voice of Boston, Pambondy and Alena Haba finally deliver. Charges
now have been leveled against Congresswoman Lo Monica McIver. Yes, baby, Okay,
Pam Bondy, you finally did it. Yes, Now that's what
(00:33):
I'm talking about. Was that so hard? Was that so hard?
To make the Cooner man a little happy? Alena Habit,
I love you in a non sexual way. So this
story broke last evening. Obviously, now it is spreading, it
is viral, It is going everywhere New Jersey. Congresswoman, as
(00:56):
you know, we talked about it earlier, what was it
last week? La Monica mckiver has now been charged. She
will be arrested today or I think she's going to
hand herself in, but she will be formally arrested for
assaulting federal law enforcement officers as well as impeding and
(01:20):
interfering with an arrest. And of course, this stemmed from
the Democrat's own insurrection that took place in Newark, New Jersey,
at an ice detention facility, in which now we have
a really full picture of what happened. There was the
(01:41):
mayor of Newark, ras Baraka, was there along with three
members of Congress, all of them from New Jersey. A
bus containing illegal aliens. Criminal illegal aliens then was allowed
to enter into the facility. When they saw the door
(02:02):
open and the bus allowed it to enter, they and
a group of protesters, the mayor and the three members
of Congress, along with about twenty twenty five other protesters
literally stormed, breached and trespassed onto the facility. So they
(02:22):
stormed into the facility. Brass Baraka, the mayor, was arrested
on the spot. In fact, he was told repeatedly to leave.
He refused to leave. He was arrested. When he was arrested,
all hell broke loose. It was pandemonium. And the person
(02:43):
that led the charge was none other than Congresswoman La
Monica MacIver. And you have the camera footage, the body
cam footage could not be clearer. She's in a red jacket.
She's a large, powerful one. She's a big strong woman.
And you see her punching ice officers. You see her
(03:08):
elbowing ice officers. You see her body slamming an ice officer.
In other words, her body slamming against an ICE officer repeatedly,
or body checking, I guess is the more accurate term.
ICE is using body as slamming, so I'm gonna use
body slamming. But you can see her. There's no question
(03:29):
she assaulted federal law enforcement on top of being verbally abusive,
interfering with them making arrests, and physically throwing her weight
around and figuratively throwing her weight around, calling them mother efforts.
(03:49):
Do you know who I am. I'm a member of Congress.
I can touch whoever I want to touch, mother effort.
And so there was a lot of pressure building upon
Pambondi and Alena Haba, the acting US Attorney for New Jersey,
to finally send a message loud and clear that the
(04:11):
Democrats are not above the law, that politicians are not
above the law, that members of Congress are not above
the law. And so last night Alena Haba issued a
formal statement and she said two things. Number one, charges
(04:33):
and I don't know why they made this decision. I
disagree with this decision, but let that go. Charges have
been dropped. Charges of trespassing have been dropped against the
mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, for whatever reason they say,
they will not go ahead and continue with any kind
(04:53):
of prosecution. So the mayor of Newark, who in many
ways instigated all this clearly trespassed on federal property, is
not going to face any consequences whatsoever. However, Alena Haba
in the very same statement then said, we tried to
make an accommodation with the Congresswoman Mackaiver. Repeatedly, we did
(05:18):
not want to press charges. We went out of our
way to not press charges. We wanted a resolution of this.
She refused. It was insult after insult, in transigence after intransigence,
and so defiance after defiance, and so basically she was
(05:42):
begging to be arrested. And Alena Habits said okay. And
so she has now been charged with multiple felonies assaulting
a federal law enforcement several ice officers, as I mentioned,
also inter fearing and impeding ice and law enforcement in
(06:05):
the conduct of their duties and in the process of
making arrests. Now, we don't know exactly fully how many
years this maylander in jail, but these are multiple felonies.
She is looking at jail time. Now here's the question,
(06:25):
what are the Democrats going to do now, because they
were crystal clear their words not mine, that they were
drawing a line in the sand, a red line, and
that if the Trump administration crossed it, which they just
did last night and arrested any of these members of Congress,
(06:47):
there was going to be held to pay. According to them,
Listen now to Congresswoman aoc Now she's referring to Bonnie
Watson Coleman in this clip, but she's talking about all
three members of Congress, whether it was Bob Menendez Junior,
all of them from New Jersey, or Bonnie Watson Coleman,
(07:09):
or La Monica Mackiver. You touch any one of these three,
you are touching a Democrat member of Congress. We don't
go to jail, we don't get arrested, we don't get charged.
You arrest any one of us, you indict any one
of us, and we're going to take it to the streets.
(07:32):
Listen to AOC roll cut sixteen, Mike.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
What DHS is trying to say again, they're using public
intimidation because they know that they cannot come for us all.
They know that they are not that they cannot come
for us all. And recently what they said is that
DHS is allegedly looking into arresting members of Congress who
were showing up for their legal and constitutional obligation to
(08:03):
conduct oversight. If anyone's breaking the law in this situation,
it's not members of Congress, it's the Department of Homeland Security.
It's people like Tom Homan and Secretary Christy. No, you
lay a finger on someone, on Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman,
on Representative or any of the representatives that were there,
(08:25):
you lay a finger on them, we are going to
have a problem because the people who are breaking the
law are the people who are not abiding by it.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
All right, So well, they laid a finger on La
Monica MacIver So we're going to have a problem. Now
what's the problem. It's now put up or shut up
for AOC. I mean that she's the one that drew
the line in the sand. Now, even more importantly, I
want you to listen now to Hakim Jeffries. He is
(08:55):
the House Minority Leader. He is the leader of the
Democrats in the House of Representatives. He speaks for his
entire caucus. La Monica McIvers is in his caucus. Listen
to what he said when asked by a reporter, Well,
what happens if one of these members of Congress actually
gets indicted and is arrested? Roll cut seventeen, Mike, what
(09:20):
happens if they were to go and arrest these members
or if they would try to sanction them.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
To in the house rips?
Speaker 4 (09:25):
They'll find out.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
What would you do?
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Though? I mean, I don't find out course, I mean
they'll find out.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
That's a red line. What's the red line?
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Though? I mean, I know we have this, it's.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
A red line. It's very clear. I think that the
so called Homeland Security spokesperson is a joke. It's a joke.
They know better than to go down that road. And
it's been made loudly and abundantly clear to the Trump administration.
We're not going to be intimidated by their tactics to
try to force principled opposition from not standing up to
(09:57):
their extremism. It hasn't happened during the entirety of this
failed term. It didn't happen when Donald Trump temporarily was
sitting high in the immediate aftermath of the election. Do
you think it's gonna happen now when he's the most
unpopular president in American history? After his first one hundred days.
Give me a break. No one's intimidated by this dude,
(10:19):
No one.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Well there you go. Well look, so he said it's
a red line. You're gonna find out. Now this Democrat
Member of Congress from New Jersey, La Monica McIver, basically
Pam Bondi is now called her bluff or maybe it's
not a bluff. I don't know. We'll see what they do.
But Pam Bondy has said, Okay, I'm crossing the red line,
(10:41):
and Alina Habat now has said we're crossing the red line.
And these aren't misdemeanors, this is felonies. These are multiple felonies.
She's looking at jail time. So what is AOC gonna do?
What is Sakim Jeffries going to do? What are the
Democrat's gonna do? Are they just gonna yell and scream
(11:03):
and stomp their feet and hold press conferences and threaten.
Are they gonna what try to defund dhs? Are they
gonna lead massive protests? Are gonna they Are they gonna
take it to the streets or are they just gonna
stand there and take it like Obama and have their
redline crossed because in the end they're all talk, no action.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
