Speaker 1 (00:12):
Does Trump's campaign need a reset and they reboot? Good
morning Cooner Country. Okay, my friends, A lot, a lot
to talk about today. Just very quickly about last night's
debate here on WRKO that I moderated. I want to

(00:34):
thank all three of the candidates again, Bob Antonellis ian Kin,
and John Beaton. It was a very good spirited, vigorous debate.
I know many of you heard it, listen to it live.
If you did not listen to it live, we have
it up on podcasts the whole ninety minutes and you

(00:56):
can hear it for yourself. Just go to WRKO dot
com comm slash cooner k u h n e r.
That's w r k O dot com slash cooner k
u h n e r. And today's poll question, and
I'm going to be asking it throughout the entire show.
Who do you think won to debate? Who do you

(01:19):
think won last night's Republican primary debate for the US Senate?
A Deaton apparently initially at least throughout the throughout the
debate yesterday got eighty three percent. So that was the
that was That's what we got last night. But I
want to take it now to the wider audience to

(01:41):
all of you and ask what did you think? But anyway,
Antonell has got apparently eleven percent. Ian Kane got six percent. Uh,
but that's the initial initial poll that we took. I
want to ask all of you, and we're going to
update it throughout the entire show. So who do you think?
I think one last night's debate. You can go to

(02:02):
WRKO dot com slash cooner kuh And is in national
Er and I'd love to hear from all of you
Kooner Country. You can also vote via x at the
Kooner Report. One word, that's my handle at the Kooner Report.
Kuh And is in national Er. Okay, huge, huge, Now

(02:28):
developments over the last twenty four hours on the presidential campaign.
President Trump yesterday held an impromptu, unscripted press conference. Now
that is in complete contrast to Cammi Kamala, call me Kamala. Now,

(02:49):
I think is what nineteen days? What is it now?
Eighteen nineteen almost twenty days. She hasn't even taken a
question from a reporter. She will not sit down for
an interview, she will not do a press conference. It's
the strategy is sticker in the basement Ala Joe Biden
in twenty twenty and then let the media now de

(03:10):
a fire, glorifyr propagandize on behalf of her and hopefully
they believe that will be enough to put her over
the top. Now, what has some people in the Trump
camp concerned is that many of the polls now show
that Kamala Harris has erased Trump's lead. Nationally, they are

(03:35):
tied in many of the poles. In some of the
poles now Kamala is ahead. One Marquette pole actually has
her up by eight percentage points. Now I don't believe it,
but that's that's one of the poles. Now there is
a Rasmussen pole which shows Trump up five, and Rasmussen

(03:58):
tends to be the most reliable of all the polls.
It's one of the polls that I always regularly look
at because they're always predicted. They always can predict what's
going to happen with relative certainty and reliability. So I
trust ras Musin more than almost any of the others.
They are still showing Trump with a good lead. Nothing

(04:20):
has changed. They said in the race, he was up
five on Biden, He's up five on Harris. But outside
of ras Mussen, all of the other poles now show
it is either a dead heat or Kamalin now is
slightly in the lead. And so Donald Trump yesterday held
a press conference and he was immediately asked by reporters

(04:46):
are you taking the campaign seriously? Are you now too overconfident?
Are you underestimating Kamala Harris because the polls now show
she's in the lead, or it's a it's a tie,
and the lead that you had over Biden is now gone.
Listen now to Trump's response roll cut for Alex.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
President.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
You have not had a public campaign event for nearly
a week.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Now.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Tomorrow you'll be in Montana, which is not a st
wing state. Some of your allies have expressed concern that
you're not taking this race seriously, particularly at where there
is enthusiasm on the other side. Why haven't you been
campaigning this week?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Because I'm leading by a lot and because I'm letting
their convention go through.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
So basically, he doesn't like the question. He said, you know,
it's a stupid question, and I'm going to get this
more of his answer more. Basically, you know, he's like, hey, look,
I'm doing phoneers, I'm doing TV interviews, I'm doing radio interviews.
We're cutting a lot of commercials. He's also trying to
help Republicans win. You know, people saying, what's he doing

(05:59):
in Montana. Well, he's going after John Tester's seat, Democrat,
vulnerable Democrat for the Senate. Trump is a party man.
He doesn't want to just win for himself. He wants
to have a Republican majority in the House and the
Senate to enact his agenda. So that's why he's going
up to places like Wyoming and Montana. A to raise

(06:20):
money because the campaign needs money, but more importantly, to
pick off some of these very vulnerable and important Democratic seats,
like Tester's Senate seat in Montana. But listen to Trump's response.
He says, no, I haven't taken anything anything for granted.

(06:42):
World cut for a Mike. I am campaigning a lot.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I'm doing tremendous amounts of taping here. We have commercials
that are at a level I don't think that anybody's
ever done before. Plus in certain cases, I see many
of you in the room where I'm speaking to you
on phones. I'm speaking to radio, I'm speaking to television.
Television's coming over here. Excuse me, what are we doing
right now? She's not doing any news conference. You know

(07:09):
why she's not doing it because she can't do a
news conference. She doesn't know how to do a news conference.
She's not smart enough to do a news conference. And
I'm sorry, we need smart people to lead this country
because our country has never.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Been in this danger before. So basically, he's saying, and
he's right, she doesn't have the guts to do a
press conference. She's running from the media. And this is
a very friendly media. I mean they're doing everything they
can now, everything they can to bolster her and cover
up for her. And I said this to Grace yesterday

(07:40):
and I want to repeat it. Normally, normally reporters, press corps,
if you keep avoiding them and not answering their questions
day after day after day, running away from them, a
normal self respecting reporter would be offended. I mean they
would say, what is this? He'd know, what a game

(08:00):
of chicken? You know, like, we're here to follow you,
we're here to ask you questions. You won't even take
a few frankly softball questions. But they don't care. They
absolutely don't care. And this is what shocked JD. Vance
a couple days ago when JD. Vance, she and he
and Kamala landed at the same spot at the same airport,

(08:25):
on the same runway, and so he said, well, hey,
let me walk on over. And so literally he takes
his secret service and he walks over to Air Force
two and he's a part of it was like he's
been tongue in cheek. Hey, I want to see this
my new plane. This is going to be my new
plane in a couple months. But part of it was
to make a point. And he goes over to the

(08:46):
press people, the press corps that are covering Kamala, and
he said, she hasn't given you an interview in you know, weeks.
She hasn't even answered a question in weeks. You must
be really really lonely, I mean, doing anything. So ask
me questions. If she doesn't have the guts to confront
you and to ask answer basic questions, ask me questions.

(09:09):
What surprised Vance was the sheer hostility from the entire
press cord that follows Kamala. It's they're not offended that
she's not coming out. They're not you know, they're not saying,
oh my god, she's dissing us, she's disrespecting us. No, no, no, no,
they love it that she's not coming out. If if

(09:32):
they can hide her, they're gonna hide her. If they're
gonna protect her, they're gonna protect her. That's their job.
And so what they couldn't stand was jb Vance standing
her up and calling her out. That's what exposing her
really for the incompetent charlatan, the boob that she is.

(09:54):
Now back to my larger point, this is now Trump's
growing first that the media is not just giving her
a pass. The media is allowing her to hide just
like they did Joe Biden, and they're giving her gushing, fawning,
over the top coverage. You want to talk about the

(10:17):
second Coming of Jesus. Ay yay yay. That's how they're
trying to portray this woman. And they're whitewashing and erasing
all of her past, all of her comments, all of
her record, all of her policies in an attempt to
pull a fast one over the American people. And so

(10:38):
Trump called her out yesterday at the press conference and saying, look,
you want to know the truth, I'm telling you the truth.
She's not smart enough to do one of these. But
I want to ask all of you this what I
heard from at last night's debate, not from the candidates,
not none of the candidates said this to me, but
from the people in the audience. Many walked up to

(11:01):
me and said, Jeff, I'm nervous. I feel that Kamala
has real momentum. I'm nervous about the polls. I'm nervous
about the way Trump seems to be a little laxadaisical.
Their word's not mine. And if you heard his first
answer of the two cuts, he says, well, I'm gonna
let them have their convention. Well, their convention is still

(11:25):
ten days away. Why why take your foot off the
gas pedal? Why anyway? Why even give them their convention?
Get out campaign, bold rallies, attack, attack, attack, agree, disagree.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
Six nineteen on the Great wrk Oh Jeff Kooner, Boston's bulldozer.
Six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight
is the number. Okay, my friends, So I want to
ask all of you what do you make now of
the Trump campaign. Are you worried, do you think that

(12:19):
things are going in the wrong direction, or do you
still feel supremely confident? That Trump is going to win
in November.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Six one seven two, six, six sixty eight sixty eight
is the number.

Speaker 6 (12:33):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
The reason why I ask is as I said last
night at the Republican primary debate for the US Senate,
again not from the candidates, but from people in the audience.
And some of these are I mean they're lifelong Cooner
Country listeners. They are really strong supporters of the show,
listeners of the show. When we were off air or

(12:54):
after the debate, they walked up to me and they said, Jeff,
I'm getting a little nervous. I said, why, Well, the
polls are really showing a very tight race. Now number
one in some polls, Kamala is now even leading, So
they're getting nervous about the polls. And then number two,
they feel that Trump. This is what they're telling me,

(13:16):
that Trump is not really pivoted from Biden to Kamala.
Yet he's still talking about Joe Biden. He does go
after Kamala, but it seems that there's a lack of
message discipline and coherence to the Trump campaign and they'd
like to see much more of a reset. Now. I

(13:38):
think what's influencing a lot of people is there have
been several media reports. The big one was from the
Washington Post. I don't trust the Washington Post, but this
is the story. Now. The media is pushing hard that
apparently people close to Trump are worried about the direction
of the campaign. That they believe that Trump is is

(14:00):
over underestimating Kamala Harris, that he doesn't seem to be
taking her as seriously as he did Joe Biden, and
part of it is because I'm gonna play some of
the cats. He believes that she is colossally stupid and incompetent,
which he may be right, but it's not her. It's

(14:21):
the people behind her that I think is the real
threat and the danger. It's not that you take her seriously,
it's that you take this democratic machine seriously. And they're
worried that Trump is overconfident and that he is not
aggressively attacking and focusing on Kamala and Tim wallt's enough.

(14:45):
And apparently Trump, they say, is complaining behind the scenes
about the media coverage, that Kamala is getting all of
this massive, just hugely positive glow media coverage, and that
that this is giving her a big bounce in the polls,

(15:06):
and he now feels that the media is trying to
do him in one more time. And furthermore, not only
is he upset about the media coverage, he is also
upset that the poll numbers now are starting to slip
against Kamala. So my question to you, are you worried

(15:28):
about Kamala Harris? Are you are are you in the
same boat as the people I spoke to yesterday? Do
you feel that Trump needs a reset, that he's got
to reboot his campaign, focus more on her, get out
there more, do more rallies, and really hone in on

(15:48):
attacking Kamala and Waltz and sticking to the issues. Six
one seven two six, six sixty eight sixty eight is
the number. Okay, listen now to Trump. This was him yesterday,
and he's completely right saying the world doesn't respect Harris,

(16:10):
the world doesn't respect Biden. And he is convinced that
eventually the American people are going to see just how
bad Kamala Harris is for the United States and for
the world. Listen to Donald Trump World cut four b Alex.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
From an outside perspective, Russia doesn't respect us anymore, China
doesn't respect us anymore.

Speaker 6 (16:37):
North Korea Kim Jong un.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Liked me a lot. He doesn't like this group. We
are in great danger, were great danger of being in.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
World War three.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
That could happen now after the convention.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, and I'm.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Going out, Actually, I'm going out to certain places to
help certain senators get elected, not even for me.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
I'm trying to help when I go out to Wyoming, or.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
When I go out to Montana, or I'm going to
different places.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
To help people.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
And I don't have to go there because I'm leading
those states, as you know, by thirty five forty fifty points.
I'm leading by record numbers. I'm going because I want
to help senators and congressmen get elected.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
So again it goes back to why are you going
to my Wyoming? Why are you going to Montana? These
are you know, deeper red states. You've got those already
locked up. And he's saying, hey, look, I'm trying to
you know, test The dancer is John Tester in Montana.
He's a Democrat. He's very beatable now and Trump is like, hey, look,
I want us to get a Republican majority in the Senate.

(17:36):
I'm thinking, you know, not just for me, I'm thinking
for the party, for a governing agenda, So I'm trying
to help others win their races as well. Now, if
you caught it, it's a few times he said it
yesterday's presser. I'm also he says, I'm going to really
start unloading on Kamala. But after the convention. Well, the

(17:57):
convention is August eighteen, and what is it it ends?
What is it the twenty first? So my point is,
what is that ten days away? Why would you wait
ten days? Why give him that courtesy? When Republicans had
their convention in Milwaukee, the Democrats, they didn't hold back.

(18:20):
They kept pounding Trump NonStop. Then they pounded JD Vans.
They started to whole remember weird, he's weird, He's weird,
this whole weird smear and slur against against JD and
against Trump. So what I'm saying is, I don't know
why Trump is waiting that ten days in politics, with

(18:40):
ninety days left to go in the election is a
very long time. Unload, honor. Now to hell with the convention. Agree, disagree?

Speaker 7 (18:53):
I want to hear from you all of your calls.
Six thirty three on the Gray WRKO Jeff Pooner, Boston's
Bulldozer six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Is the number. Okay, lines are jammed. We're gonna go
right to our phone lines. But first, this is fascinating.
I have to tell you, Uh, I've never seen the
audience this split, and it's practically fifty fifty. So let
me just give you a taste of the the the

(19:37):
divide in the audience. Obviously, the audience is for Trump.
It's just the strategy of the election campaign. Okay, So
this is from Diane. Here's what she emailed me, Hi, Jeff. Uh.
And the reason why this one kind of stands out
for me is because, as you know, Michael Savage really
was my mentor in talk radio years ago, and I

(19:58):
used to regularly fill in form years. So Diane mentions
Michael Savage Jeff. Michael Savage said Trump's campaign team is
terrible and that Trump needs to push borders, language and culture.
Savage is right, Trump needs to change up his campaign team.

(20:18):
I'm not worried, but President Trump needs to hammer what's
been done to this country. And Savage said he needs
to stop calling Kamala Harris stupid because it will turn
away women voters. Interesting. Interesting, Now this is from Larry

(20:39):
Larry on messenger messaged me maybe ten minutes ago. And
here's what Larry says, which is very opposite of what
Diane says. Jeff, when your enemy is destroying herself, let
them the media wall protecting Harris and Waltz is collapsing. Interesting. Interesting, Okay.

(21:05):
This is two texts, both on opposite sides of this issue.
One is from nine to one seven. Jeff Trump is
blowing this election. He's getting into name calling and insults.
This is turning away voter, turning off or turning away voters.
Forgive me. He needs to recalibrate, stick to the issues.

(21:28):
Run against Kamala's record, her policies, what she's done, he
will win. Uh. Here's an opposite uh text. This is
from sixty one six one seven. Jeff, Kamala Harris is
an incompetent idiot. The more Trump exposes her, the more

(21:49):
she will collapse. I don't believe the polls. Six one seven,
two six six, sixty eight sixty eight is the number.
So let me ask you, do you think Trump needs
to reset or reboot his campaign? And are you worried
about these new batch of polls six one seven, two

(22:12):
six six, sixty eight sixty eight Okay. The Kooner Country
Poll Question of the day sponsored by Mario's Roofing Mario's
Quality Roofing, Siding and Windows. Is Trump being over confident?
That's what some at least in his inner circle are saying.

(22:35):
They think he's underestimating Kamala, not taking her seriously enough
as a potential electoral or political threat. Do you agree?
Is Trump over confident? Ayes B No. You can vote
on our web page. I want to hear from all
of you. Wrko dot com slash cooner kuh and a

(22:59):
is an national er wrko dot com slash cooner or
if you prefer, you can vote via x my handle
there at the Cooner Report. All one word kuh and
is in national er. Paul, you're gonna kick us off,
Paul in Weymouth, Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
Paul, Hey, Jeff, what an honor my friends has got
the show. Thank you very much for for choosing me.
I'm going to tell you like this, I am a
Trump voter and supporter, but he's blowing it. You know,
the man, he just doesn't look presidential, he doesn't look professional.

(23:39):
You don't speak that way about a woman. You don't
trash talk a woman. You know, that's just number one,
that's you know, off the bat. My parents taught me
that your parents taught you that the fact that he's
insulting come out the way he's doing it just doesn't
look good. Man. He needs to stick to the facts.
What he was on that show and with the with

(24:03):
the African American ladies, and they asked him if Carmelo
was a DEI hired. The only thing he had to
say was yes, she was, because when Joe Biden picked her,
he specifically told the American public he would hire a
woman of color, that is the definition of DEEI Higher.
But instead he went off on a tangent that she

(24:25):
it's the first time he heard that she's black, and
this and that. When he did that, I knew we
were in trouble. And you know what, I think it's
going to be a close one. Man, I'm losing confidence.
For your pole question, I'm going to say he's not
over confident, he's arrogant.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Interesting, if you were advising him, Paul, what would you
have him do differently? I know you're saying stop the
trash talking and calling Kamala stupid and kind of verbally
beating her are up that way? What else would you
have him just zero in on her record, on her

(25:07):
her radical ideas, her radical comments, her radical policies, and
just keep it to the policy level. Is that what
you advise him to do?

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Well, I would advise him to go after those independent votes,
because you know, you're not going to change the minds
of the Democrat people. My sister in law, for example,
is a Dhah Democrat. She will vote for anyone who's
a Democrat, regardless of what the truth of that person's
character is. But most Democrats are like that, you know,

(25:40):
they don't really care who it is. As long as
it's a Democrat and not a scary Republican, they're going
to vote for him. So you're not going to gain
any Democrat votes. You're going to go after the independence.
You want to go after people who are still on
the fence, you know what I mean. He's catering to
his base, but his base is going to vote for

(26:01):
Trump no matter what. You know, he needs to get
those people out there. What do these people care about?
The black community, that's all that's that typically votes Democrats.
How do we get them to vote for Donald Trump?
That's the question. And you know, attacking somebody's race, it's
not going to work on those guys, you know whatever.

(26:22):
By you know, look, Russia doesn't respect us, Korea doesn't
respect us. That's Joe Biden's fault. Ultimately falls with the
American people. We voted for the man, but that is
Joe Biden's fault. What's that going after the facts about
Carmela her running mate? You know, all all we hear
in the news about her running mate is how he

(26:43):
said he retired as an E nine, but he was
really an E eight. I mean, come on, you know,
we're drawing at Straw's. It's it's getting petty at this point.
You know that. I'm sorry, but he's gonna look a
little more professional.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Paul, thank you very much for that call. Six months
two six six, sixty eight, sixty eight is the number.
I'm just curious, what do you make of what Paul
is saying. I gotta say, I mean, I don't fully
agree with Paul, obviously, but there is one part where
I say, like, for example, yesterday's press conference, much of

(27:20):
the time he's bashing Biden. Now he's right, everything he
said about Biden is true. Don't get me wrong, but
as I'm watching, I'm like, yeah, but Biden's gone. I mean,
I know he's in the White House, but he's not running.
So your opponent now is Kamala. Forget Biden. Biden's almost
irrelevant at this point. The only thing that matters about

(27:40):
Biden is what Kamala did with Biden and how she
was part, you know, a a co participant and a
co president in destroying this country. But to me, it's
it's got to be all Kamala. Now, forget bashing Biden.
You got to go after Kamala. Kamala is your opponent.
Kamala is the Ken that you have to run against now.

(28:02):
And that's what some people in the Trump camp are saying.
It's as if when Biden dropped out, Trump kind of
really didn't pivot fully to understand or comprehend that. Now
you've got a brand new opponent, which requires a brand
new campaign. Anyway, that's what some people are saying. You
may disagree. Obviously, six one seven two six six sixty

(28:25):
eight sixty eight is the number. You can also text
the cooner man seven zero four seven zero seven zero
four seven zero Donald Trump, Now does he need a
reboot and a reset to his campaign. And are you,
like Paul and many others, do you fear Trump may

(28:46):
be blowing it? I want to hear from all of you.
Don't touch that dial. Six point fifty on the Great

(29:19):
Wrko Jeff Kuhner, Boston's bulldozer. Six one seven two six
six sixty eight sixty eight is the number. Okay, many
of you are reacting to Paul's call that Trump is arrogant.
As he put it, he's a Trump supporter, he's a
Trump voter. But he thinks, Jeff, he's not just being
over confident in the way he's approaching Kamala Harris and

(29:42):
this reset of a campaign now that she took over
from Joe Biden. But he thinks that, in fact, he's
blowing it by insulting her, trashing her. He thinks that
turns off a lot of voters, especially female voters. So
this is I can go on about. The text line
is gonna blow Uh. Here's just a taste of the

(30:04):
reaction I'm getting. Jeff. I'm sorry, but Jeff deal was
nice and polite against both Liar Waltha, Elizabeth Warren and
hold it Morah Heally and both quote unquote women chewed
him up and spit him out. In other words, they're

(30:25):
gonna be brutal with you, you better be brutal with them. Agree,
disagree six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight.
Linda in Cambridge. Thanks for holding Linda, and welcome.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
Good morning, chef, Hie, Jeff, Chef, Chef, chef. Okay, first
of all, that that statement that you just dressed is accurate.
I don't share. If he can't mean sweet, I don't
care if you're arrogant. I don't care. What I care

(31:05):
about is losing this country, chef. Okay. That's what I'm
concerned about. People that are saying this, Oh well, come on,
look at the state of our country.

Speaker 6 (31:19):
What is wrong with you people?

Speaker 8 (31:22):
That's number one.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Number two.

Speaker 8 (31:25):
They are letting the real person who has control of
this side of the equation, chef, That is God. Okay,
and God has his right hand on Donald Trump. All right,
And I am gonna tell you. I called your show,
you know when Trump won that night you were on late.

(31:47):
I called and I said, you know, it's enough all night.
God told me he's gonna win. So I'm going to
bed finally, and I'm gonna tell you when they stole
the election in twenty twenty. God told me before that
he will. It's not going to win. And you know why, Jeff,
Because people are getting arrogant, people are getting evil, Jef.

(32:08):
And God said, for the next four years, I'm gonna
show you. I'm going to show you what you're asking
for and then see how you like it. And that's
exactly what God has done, Jeff. He is of everything
that Donald Trump told us. God has verified the chef.
He has verified it. And I am going to tell

(32:30):
you that stop worrying, okay, because the only one who
can take care of this is God. And he brought
us to Trump for a reason. And now, and this
is what I don't understand, Jeff. That gets me really
ticked off is all the soccer moms and and the

(32:52):
mothers are not going to vote for Trump. Listen. They
are manipulating your children with pure evil. They want you
to do all these things to your kids in school
and everything. And you're gonna tell me because he's arrogant
and he does this and says that you are gonna
let that continue with your kids. Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (33:16):
That's a great point, Linda, that's a really, really, really
good point, Linda, thank you very very much for that call. No, look,
I have to tell you I so agree with you.
There are You're right, these soccer moms or what do
you want to call him? Some I mean not all obviously,
but you know some of these suburban you know, professionals,

(33:37):
and they're going on. I mean, I've met him. He
said she's not really black, she's just black. Now how
could he say? I'm so offended. Now, whatever you think
of the statement, whether it was good, bad, smart, stupid, whatever,
I'm thinking, Well, they tried to assassinate him. They nearly

(33:57):
blew his brains out. They're calling him Hitler, a dictator,
an existential threat to democracy. I mean, they're called every
name in the book. You can't get more vicious than that.
And this guy turns around and you know, he gives
her a little shot about you know, all of a sudden,
now she's black because she has been promoting herself for

(34:20):
most of her life as an Indian American, and it's
like the sky is falling. And then and exactly what
you're saying, Linda, you know what Linda just said, they're
pushing transgender is a man like. Literally they look. All
Ashton and Ava tell me is that much of their
day at school is dealt with This is what they

(34:42):
face they have to deal with trying to convince them
that they were born with the wrong sex. Do you
know how sick and perverse that is? No? No, are
you a boy? No you're not really a boy, are you?
I mean you want to be a bit of a
boy and a bit of a girl, would you like? Huh?
In other words, you know, go and use a girl's bathroom. No,

(35:04):
you're a girl, Go ahead, use a boy's bathroom.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
Go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Be bisexual. By my girl's twelve years old, actually eleven,
she's gonna be twelve in a month. You know, are
you bisexual? What the hell's bisexual?

Speaker 6 (35:18):
Like?

Speaker 1 (35:19):
This is the stuff that they're you know, feeding our kids.
And instead I swear they're going on about Hall. But
he said, she's only just discovered that she's black. That's
so insulting. He crossed the line. I'm like, oh, hey, look,
I don't know what to tell you, okay, I mean,

(35:41):
you know, so she wants to literally allow the entire
world to pour into the United States and give them
all by the way, free, meaning taxpayer funded healthcare. She's
gonna bankrupt us. We're finished, I'm telling you, she wins,
We're finished. Okay. I don't you want you want illegals
living in your home?

Speaker 6 (35:59):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
I don't know what to tell after a certain point,
I don't know what to tell you. Six one seven
two six six sixty eight sixty eight Logic, reason, facts, evidence,
Reality can only go so far after a while. If
you're determined to destroy yourself, there's nothing anybody can do, Craig.

(36:25):
I'm talking about these you know, these soccer moms, Some
of these soccer moms that everything Trump says it's offensive
and it bothers them, and they twist themselves and contort
themselves and yelling, shouting, screaming. I'm like, okay, you like, okay,
you forget four dollars a gallon gas, You get Kamalin,

(36:45):
it's gonna be six seven dollars a gallon gas. Don't
come crying to mean. Craig in Byfield, Thanks for holding Craig,
and welcome.

Speaker 6 (36:56):
Hi Jeff.

Speaker 9 (36:57):
I'm an eighty one year old veteran, and uh, I
think Trump's gonna shot in his pencil and get back
out on the trail. But last night I was very
disappointed to hear John say that he was didn't vote
for Trump and he's not going to vote for Trump
and John Eaton.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Sorry, Craig, just in case people at the debate last night, Yeah,
John Deaton, he went one of the three candidates, go
ahead and you.

Speaker 9 (37:23):
Know, not voting, but Trump is a vote for Harris.
And the other thing he said was he implied that
he was very satisfied with our gun laws at Massachusetts,
our gun laws in this state. Our Second Amendment rights
have been eroded. It's terrible. So I think Bob's got

(37:44):
my endorsement, and I think John's gonna I think he's
gonna shop in his pencil and rethink this.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Oh you think you Deaton has to you're saying has
to because you started with Trumps. You're what you're saying
you I think Deaton now has to rethink his opposition
to Trump. Correct.

Speaker 9 (38:05):
Oh, absolutely, I mean, if he's not going to vote
for Trump, it's a vote for Harris. We need all
the Trump votes we can most of.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Well, Craig, I have to say, what did surprise me?
And I want to stay on topic, but what did
surprise me? About last night's debate, and look, I appreciated
they showed up. They were very well prepared. I thought
it was a good, you know, smart, intelligent, lively debate.
But the two of the three candidates, John Deeton and

(38:36):
Ian Kane, when I asked them, will you be voting
for Trump? Not only did they say no, and they
didn't vote for Trump in the past and they're not
going to vote for him again in twenty twenty four,
but they said they wouldn't vote for anybody, right, I said, well,
will you vote for Trump? Will you vote for Kamala?
Will you vote for Robert F. Kennedy Junior? And I
I was a bit surprised that both of them said

(38:59):
we're not voting for anybody. I'm like, okay, okay, I
don't know. I just you know, anyway, I'm just giving
you my honest, gut reaction. Craig, thank you very much
for that call. I really appreciate it. By the way,
though Daton did win our poll, I mean, just you know,
to be fair, Daton won the poll. I think what

(39:20):
was it, sandy eighty two percent, eighty three percent, eighty
three percent of our viewers or listeners thought that he
won the debate last night. Antonelli's finished second with I
believe eleven percent and Ian Kine six percent. So six
one cent. There you have it. Six one seven two six,
six sixty eight sixty eight is the number. I want

(39:42):
to go back to Craig's point that Trump has got,
as he put it, sharpen his pencil. In other words, focus,
get more disciplined, and get out on that campaign trail,
and focus like a laser beam on Kamala Harris, do
you agree, si or disagree? Six one seven two six

(40:03):
six sixty eight sixty eight. Jack in the Great State
of Indiana, Thanks for holding Jack, and welcome.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Hey. You know what, hi, Jack, go ahead. Trump doesn't
care about Kamala because I'm I'm from I'm ten years
old than you are.

Speaker 8 (40:26):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
Do you remember the old saying, uh, I don't mind
because you don't matter. You remember that saying yes, yes, no,
That's what Trump's doing. He don't care, she don't matter.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
So you're basically saying bye by almost I'm gonna say
ignoring her, that's not the right word, but by slapping
her around verbally and trying, you know, going on about
how she's stupid and she's incompetent and really not showing
any kind of respect for her whatsoever. He's really highlighting

(41:05):
what a non entity she is.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Correct, Jack, Correct, she is stupid? Uh her or cheese
fell off the cracker or cracker fell off the cheese.
I don't know, Harriett. She is stupid, and you want
her to be our bis well, our president vice president now,

(41:28):
but you want her to be our president and tamp on,
tam you want him to be our vice president?

Speaker 1 (41:37):
No, Jack, Jack, of course I agree with you. Don't
get me wrong. I think these two are a disaster
beyond a disaster. But this is what I'm hearing from
a lot of people here in Kooner Country, who would
are big Trump voters, as you know, in big Trump supporters.
So here's you know, if they're at the kitchen table
with you and they'd say, oh, look, Jack, I agree
with you. Of course she's done as a box of rocks.

(42:00):
But if you keep calling her dumb as a box
of rocks, you know, if you keep calling her stupid
and stupid and stupid, this is a turn off to
many voters. Like just from a strategic or tactical point
of view, let her speak and the moment she opens
her mouth, everybodyill say, ah, she really is that stupid.

(42:20):
In other words, sometimes things are better left unsaid because
people can figure it out on their own. What do
you say to that.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Argument, Well, that's true, I have to gury with you.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
No, it's not. It's not me. I'm just I don't
mind when he calls her stupid if you want to
know the truth, because I think she is stupid. But
I'm just saying this is what a lot of people
are saying. Like in other words, tactically, they don't think
it's smart on the part of Trump to be doing that.
So I just want to know what you say. You know,
what's your what's your what's your argument? What's your counter

(42:58):
argument to that?

Speaker 6 (42:59):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (43:00):
Watter speeches.

Speaker 6 (43:03):
That's all you gotta do.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Jack, Thank you very very much for that call. Six
one seven to six, six sixty eight sixty eight is
the number. Okay, okay, this is from Mark and uh.
I think Mark says of what a lot of you
are thinking. Uh Mark on messenger, Jeff, I do agree
that Donald J. Trump has to tone down the insults.

(43:31):
But and this is all in caps. On the other hand, you,
me and everyone else has been saying, it's time to
take the gloves off. After all, look what they have
been saying about Donald J. Trump. Listen to what they
call him. Look at what they're trying to do to him.
For God's sake, they tried to kill the man. So

(43:51):
with that being said, I kind of don't blame him
for being and this is all in caps, just a
little pissed off with exclamation points. And yes, he should
constantly run ads before and during the Democratic National Convention. Mark,

(44:11):
I'm with you on that, I really am. I I
don't like this idea of a bit of a pause.
In other words, I'll let them have their convention. I'm like,
this is all a war man. Let them fine. I mean,
of course, let them have their convention. I'm not saying
hijack the thing, but run ads, do rallies, attack, criticize campaign,

(44:33):
don't let up, especially not now. I mean this is
still a week away. So I'm like, there's no. They
didn't give you a grace period. Why should you give
them a grace period?

Speaker 10 (44:47):
I don't know?

Speaker 1 (44:47):
Am I wrong? Six one seven two six six sixty
eight sixty eight Eddie in Maine, thanks for holding Eddie
and welcome.

Speaker 10 (44:58):
Hey, yeah, hevery so. They make man And how were
we doing?

Speaker 1 (45:00):
I'm great? How are you? Eddie?

Speaker 6 (45:02):
Very good? Thank you.

Speaker 10 (45:03):
I think President Trump he has put his arrogance, his
help out there every day doing what he's doing, the
dirty works. It's like Vince did.

Speaker 6 (45:12):
Vince.

Speaker 10 (45:12):
Vince popped up out of nowhere and he did a
hell of a good job. And President Trump district focused
on the economy, you know, the way the country's going,
and everything's going down the tubes, and doesn't have to
use all this nasty languagecause get everybody else out there
doing it for him, you know what I mean? And
the big thing have. All they need is having a
couple of people go to these wherever her things are

(45:34):
and hold up signs that Elizabeth Warren never ever apologized
for her background with slaves. Most African Americans don't know that,
so they find her they turn their nose up on her.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
Oh sorry, I mean Eddie, you mean you mean Kamala Harris.

Speaker 10 (45:48):
I've jumping forgive me, amuse, you know it's okod guse.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
We had the debate last night about Elizabeth Warren. No,
I got you, Yeah, I know that. Look, No, that's
an excellent point, Eddie, I got to say, I don't
want to I don't want to speak for all these
you know, people that are telling Trump he's got to
tone it down and stop with the insults. But from
what I'm reading and from what I'm hearing from them,
is they're not saying, don't go after Kamala. They're not saying,

(46:13):
for example, what you just pointed out, Hey, no, you know,
who are you to lecture us on reparations or on racism.
Your own family were the biggest slaveholders in Jamaica. They
want him to say stuff like that. They think it's
brilliant and effective. I think it's the stupid. She's stupid.
She's really stupid. She's even dumber than Biden. Okay, if

(46:36):
you want to say it once or twice. But I
think what they're saying is it's just he it comes across,
they're saying as ungentlemanly. That's that's the argument that they're making.
It's after awhile he becomes off putting, and that they
believe it's alienating or turning people off. What do you

(46:57):
say to.

Speaker 10 (46:57):
That, Eddie? I agree he can still say something, but
not you know, really, Nancy, like this is this is
Camel's works. The border is all messed up, the economy
is so screwed, all because of her, you know what
I mean, And try to keep it a little intel
but no, not to day.

Speaker 6 (47:14):
You know.

Speaker 10 (47:15):
That's what theve sarag Is are out out on the road.

Speaker 6 (47:17):
Man.

Speaker 10 (47:17):
They got to do it.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
It's exactly it. No, Eddie, I love that point. Look,
that's why you got jd Vance. I'm being sure that's
why you have meon like, that's why. And people like
me don't worry. We'll cut her up. It's okay. You
know what you know. You you know, in other words,
you can be a little more presidential. You can give
us the vision you can give us. And look, he's

(47:41):
got a checkmate argument. I have to tell you, I
don't know why he doesn't use it more often he
does use it, and when he uses it, it's it's devastating.
I did it already. You want me to lower inflation,
I did it. You want two dollars a gallon gas,
I did it. You want peace around the world, I

(48:04):
did it. You want energy independence, I did it. You
want lower food and grocery prices, I did it. You
want safe streets, I did it. You want a secure border.
I did it. It's and it's an unbeatable argument. So
I don't know why he doesn't use it more often.

(48:27):
You know, it's like a boxer who's got a devastating
an uppercut, and I'm like, okay, when he uses it,
it's it's it's you know, it's a knockout blow. But
use it more often. To me, if you got a
killer punch, use the killer punch. So, Eddie, I think
that's so a lot of it. You know, if you
notice we're not talking about his four years and these

(48:49):
four years which Kamala Harris owns, it's always other side issues,
and you know that's I think the frustration that some
people feel, Eddie. Thank you very much for that call.
Six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight Agree, disagree,

(49:09):
Dave and Dunstable. Thanks for holding Dave, and welcome.

Speaker 11 (49:15):
Hi Jeff, thanks for taking the call.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
My pleasure, Dave, Jeff.

Speaker 11 (49:19):
I think they I don't know what's going on with people,
but Trump has been shot at. He's always been like
what Mark was saying there on the text line, He's
always being ridiculed and been made fun of by all
the Democrats and the news media. I mean, of course
he's gonna say things. They're out there, Harris and Tampon,

(49:42):
Tim call out there, calling him and vance with in
all kinds of names.

Speaker 6 (49:47):
What's he supposed to do?

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Well, that's a very good point. And that's a very
very good point.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
Dave.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
If I'm getting how much time left? Alex? Okay, Dave,
if I'm getting too personal and you'll see why, Okay,
I'm not asking it for a random reason, Dave, what
is your ethnic background?

Speaker 11 (50:09):
I'm white, Jess, No no, no, no no no, I
know you're white.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
But I mean, like, are you like part Irish or
I'm just yeah.

Speaker 11 (50:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I'm Irish.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
Yeah, fully Irish or half Irish, full Irish? Okay, just
for you know, like, pretend with me, say you were
half Irish and I don't know, half Scottish. Okay, just
indulge me, Dave. Hang on, because I'm going to ask you,
I think the sixty four thousand dollars question, So hang
on more next
