Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven, twenty Wednesday. You know what that means, Truth or troll.
Take it away my.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
And now America's favorite game show where you get to
the side on the Kooner Report.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
This is truth or Tall. Today's entry for truth ortrol
comes from Vice President JD. Vance at a press conference
yesterday when he was asked about President Trump's chief of
staff Susie Wilds, calling him a conspiracy theorist in a
Vanity Fair interview. Here's what JD had to.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Say the interviews that White House Chief of Staff Susie
Wilds gave to Vanity Fair, in which she's quoted as
referring to you as excuse me and again not my words, sir,
but a conspiracy theorist of a decade, and described your
transformation from someone who once opposed President Trump to now
his vice president as an act of political expediency. I'd

(01:01):
like to give you the chance to respond to.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
That, sir.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Well, first of all, if if Susie is like I'll trust,
I'll trust what you said. I haven't looked at the article.
I of course have heard about it, but conspiracy theorists
sometimes I am a conspiracy theorist, but I only believe
in the conspiracy theories that are true.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And by the way, Susie and I have joked in
private and in public about that for a long time.
For example, I believed in the crazy conspiracy theory back
in twenty twenty that it was stupid to mask three
year olds at the height of the COVID pandemic, that
we should actually let them develop some language skills.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
JD. Van's the conspiracy theorist. So here's the question. Now,
is he telling the truth or is he just trolling
to protect Susie Wilds.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
No, I think he's telling the truth. I think I
think a lot of her comments were taken out of context. Now,
I don't think she should have given an interview with
Vanity Fair. And I'm gonna get to this if you know,
if maybe later in the show or maybe tomorrow. Vanity
Fair is a rabbit and I mean rabbit anti Trump outlet,

(02:13):
and she gave them multiple interviews over the entire year.
She actually gave them access to the White House. To me,
I was shocked. So that's why I called for her
to be fired yesterday on X I said she's got
to go. I don't you know. Regardless of her comments
about Trump. She said Trump had an alcoholic personality. She

(02:36):
said j D was a conspiracy theorist and an opportunist. So,
I mean, so the way they made it seem was
she was bad mouthing the administration. Now, to her credit,
she said, no, no, hey, they took me out of context. No, no, no,
this was a hit piece. Yeah, well, what did you expect?
What did you expect you give an interview to Vanity Fair?

(02:58):
What you think they're going to be fair? Do you
think they're honestly going to play it straight and down
the middle. Of course, they're going to do a hit piece.
It's like doing an interview with the New York Times
or doing an interview with CE. This is CNN. Their
job is to destroy you and Trump and the administration.
So why would you be so reckless and frankly naive

(03:22):
to sit down and give them interview after interview after interview. That,
to me is the question that she needs to answer.
But no, I think, to be fair, I think JD
has a great relationship with Susie Wiles. I think Trump
has a great relationship with Susie Wiles. I know that
Susie Wilds has teased j D about the conspiracy theories

(03:45):
in the past, and so I think he's telling the truth.
I think there's no question. No, Hey, she was taken
out of context. I know she was taken out of context.
You know, we like to joke a little bit here
and there. So no JD is to me again, he's
shown himself elf why he's the heir to Trump. He's
very smart, very magnanimous, very polished, very articulate, thinks, very

(04:09):
quick on his feet, and he's honest. He's a straight shooter.
So my vote would be truth. I don't think he's trolling.
I don't think he's trying to protect Susie Wilds. And he,
by the way, he's completely right all all the conspiracy
theories that he's you know, and I put conspiracy theories
in air quotes that he's espoused.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
He was right.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
But I don't know what else to say. So, but anyway,
I want to ask all of you, that's just my opinion,
truth or troll. Did Trump really mean what he said
about Susie Wiles and that they've joked about conspiracy theories
and some of the you know point, some of the
theories that JD. Vance has held over the years. Or

(04:55):
do you think he was just protecting Susie Wiles and
trolling the media a truth betrol. You know where I stand.
